Edge (xe/he/they) (real name: Cahya Rifai) is a Graviton Energetic, who used to be an antagonist towards FL, due to his once existing friendship with Kody. Xe used to be an asshole to them at first, because of Kody's lies, gaslight and manipulation. After being confronted, FL also learned that he is a Bridging victim as well and tell him the actual truth. When xe learn that, xe confronts Kody and after an argument and potential fight(?), xe ends the friendship and apologizes to FL, like ton of times, even after FL says they forgave him.

Edge is an omnisexual (w male pref.) polyamory demiboy, who looks like a jerk, but is actually just a big space and car nerd with anxiety and autism. And Edge is actually taken as well! He is in a relation with my partner's oc, who is an air elemental, my friend's freelancer healer oc and Alioth, my incubus oc! Xe also has a pet kitten, calling her Miss Angelica.

Natal Shaw (18) (used to be Costales) (he/him) is a humanborn (cis male, gay asexual) werewolf, that was abused and ran away from home when he was 14. Homeless until 17, where he got imprisoned by D.U.M.P. for breaking covert by recording videos of magical abilities and inversion (from the outside, he was a witness only) and uploading them on the internet. As he wasn't trained to even shift properly without hurting himself, David was sent to the D.U.M.P. to teach him and take care of him, until he is capable of doing it himself (or when he is 18). These two had a very rocky start, as Natal was very mean and an asshole to everyone. David, Asher, Milo, the listeners, . love. After like a year, Angel and David adopted Natal as their own kid and he became a part of the family, changing his name.

Alioth, named after a star in Ursa Majora, is a young (25), incubus (bigender queer) (he/she) (younger than Gavin), who is very into fashion, works at Build-a-Bear in a human disguise and is very preppy (I'd say). He is also one of Edge's boyfriends (also is also dating mentioned air elemental and freelancer healer, even before Edge was part of their polyamory!!)

Alioth is very talented at shapeshifting magic, unfortunately to the point he becomes obsessed with changing himself to please everyone so much he lost his sense of identity once, which terrified Gavin, who then left. Alioth used to be a big fan of Gavin's, following him everywhere, asking him questions, throwing compliments, etc., while Gavin wasn't very much into that HAHSHjdjsns. After they reunite, they have some unstable friendship, arguments, blah blah blah, they apologize to each other, learn about boundaries around shapeshifting and become actual friends! Yay! Unfortunately, Alioth still suffers from losing control over shapeshifting, HEHE.

when i watch guys like vinny vinesauce or ethoslab i think about privacy online and how you know. i never think about wanting to know more, and i never seek more, and how i kind of wish more people just did that. not like it matters to me really if some people talk about their family, relationships, location, past, etc... i just kinda wish more people did it because i think its important to be reminded thats normal and good to do? probably uh, what you should do by default?

growing up in the early age of the internet where privacy was still heavily important, it did have me thinking about that over the years. because it went from 'dont say your name/age/etc' when i was on forums. it took quite a few more years for photos of myself online became normal- 2010 at least, since thats when instagram came out, but i still had my gen 3 ipod touch with no camera for a while.

but eventually, instagram was what pulled in more urges to share personal details- sometimes my real name in relation to my account because thats what people were doing- it was like facebook. it was also a platform that i started to find communities for emotional venting where id join in on posting quite personal things related to mental health. around that time, aged 12-14 was where that detailed emotional posting really picked up and while it didnt exactly include loads of private data, its still stuff that really should not have been sitting around online.

it didnt end there of course. tumblr came in soon enough and i think above all, tumblr really broke any idea of privacy. the culture of validation and needing to state everything about yourself in order to be allowed to say anything without being deemed problematic... the DNIs and the trigger lists... and still, vent communities kept feeding the need to throw personal as hell thoughts onto a public blog.

then of course there is the present day adult- where you stably just keep a set amount of details on your profile for "work opportunities" or whatever. no big deal....

id often cringe, not at the content or feelings, but just with this feeling of "man. i wish i didnt do that- i wish i stayed more private". but something i have learned and realized- i can just... delete it. and i know, i know- i like to keep things alive. i like for the old web and my old accounts to exist so i can look back. i have my backups, dont worry. but really, truly-- as a "nobody" on the internet, not someone popular or worth noticing, i can just delete all that nonsense. i can control it. ive gone and deleted stupidly personal journals on my old DAs and i deleted two of my old tumblrs. everyone says "nothing is truly gone on the internet" and that may be true but again, whos going to give enough of a shit about me to look for it anyways? its unlikely. it doesnt matter in the end. its a sea of nonsense anyways.

while im left with the one last emotionally personal web profile of mine being on Spore, something i will never be able to clear out lol, i feel a bit better realizing i may be able to present myself with more privacy online... its not important for people to know so much.

Wanting to date me just to get a PhD? Game on!

Need to get this off my chest for quite awhile so I hope my story could finally bury this load off me.

This happened back in grad school when I was doing my graduate studies in medicine. Halfway through my candidature, I met a guy (lets call him R) doing his final year of PhD in agriculture science. Now, first of all I have to say is I have no idea what he does, (apparently it involved growing plants and some sort) but being my first actual relationship, I listened endlessly to his talks about his work and all.

The first few months of dating was pretty alright (nothing out of the ordinary) but I did notice he wasnt trying to be intimate or even define if we are going to pursue something more than just dates. At first I figured he needed time and plus I was inexperienced since it is my first proper relationship so I kept my peace with it. Then shit started to go wild. He would randomly text and ask me to skip my afternoons (I usually schedule long experiments on weekdays, most of which started early in the morning and drag all the way till evening; so I cant bail out) knowing that Im busy with experiments. He would then put up a fuss and say things like "im not being serious with him" or "do you even liked/love me" when i tried to reason with him. Being the idiot that I am, I would usually comply and had to sneak out of the lab (my supervisor is pretty strict with students leaving their work unattended). R's idea of dragging me out in the afternoon was to help him write his journal papers since he always mentioned his English isnt good and he cant understand what his supervisor wants. R initially requested me to help him re-read what he wrote and edit his mistakes, but over time I realised he wanted me to write his papers. Being the idiot head-over-heels with R, I did it all for him, whilst jeopardizing my own research.

Over the months, R became more demanding (from helping him water his plants over different time period; well into midnight to helping him write full journals). He would not reply to any of my texts except when he needed my help. I felt really one-sided at this point but i swallowed my pride as I didn't want to loose him. Now, I had no idea what his study is on, since I am from a medical background, but I stayed up late nights reading on agriculture chemistry and biology (its been years since I even read a page about plants, much less knowing them in detail) and trying to figure out how to improve R's experiments. In the course of all of this, R developed a hobby for collecting antiques and trading them, which requires him to travel abroad. I do find his disappearance pretty dodgy, since that his candidature is about to end but he seems more focused on his hobby. However, R expects me to do his work (writing his papers etc.) whilst he is away. He didnt even bother telling me he's leaving, and instead telling me when he was already in another country. At this point, I have no idea if we were dating, seeing that most dates were me doing his work while he sits on a sofa telling me what to write over a hurried dinner/lunch with him promising to discuss the nature of our relationship right after dinner (which never happens). I was behind on my own work (my supervisor noticed my slow progress and actually had to talk to me if I was working outside of postgraduate). I finally snapped out of R's bullshit when he demanded I help him with his thesis whilst commenting that "my research isnt as important as his since he is gonna submit his thesis in a few months whereas I have a few more years to go". Im not going to sit around and be his academic slave under the pretense that he will be my boyfriend (which is never going to happen), so I agreed to help him with his thesis with a special surprise for him!

Now I had saved all of R's journal papers (original edits and ready for submission) and including his thesis. Over the months, I understood what his supervisor wanted in his papers (his supervisor thinks all of the writing done is R's work anyway; and also commented that his style of writing "improved" over the course of a few months) as well as his thesis. I secretly replaced all of his citations (in each journal papers and thesis) with random citations unrelated to his work by using Endnote and deleted the endnote folders scripted to all of his papers and thesis (so he'll have a field of a time editing everything if he actually knew this). I even included a few pages of obituaries I could find in the internet into his thesis and jumbled his results (papers and thesis) with random photos I could find online. When I was happy with it, he submitted it to the examiners and his supervisors even without reading through them! (what a f**ktard). When he told me he submitted, I broke up with him that very night, with his response "I never liked you anyway but you're the help i needed to pass this thesis" and "you were never my priority but you made me your priority so thats your fault". I was pretty hurt by his words, but the best is yet to come.

Fast forward to a few months, I've made peace with my work (caught up with producing good amount of data and running experiments on time) when I heard a couple of friends from the same lab as R. Apparently, the examiners was shock with his quality of thesis and demanded an explanation from R's supervisor as to explain if this was a joke. His papers got rejected as the results and citation wasnt even related to his work and request an inquiry on both R and his supervisor. R was also dealt with a horrible 1 year long extension to his candidature to rectify his mistakes but because I've deleted all the endnote folders, he has to search each source, one sentence at a time, for all of his work! Last I heard, he got dragged into an ethical debate with the Dean seeing that his supervisor did notice a "sudden" change of work quality over the time when we were "dating". I think he wouldnt dare to say anything about me as there was no mention of him getting help, as mentioning my existence would immediately expose his laziness over most of his work.

p/s. throughout our dating phase till the breakup, we did not indulge in anything that would consider us dating (no kissing, going out on proper dates, talks etc.) hence looking back, i think i should have dump his sorry ass sooner, but oh well, better to wreck his PhD than letting him go scot-free!

i found an old post about a poc ace and went on their blog and they know say they don't identify as ace because aces are bad, basically. and like, i'm literally crying. idk what to do, that just really struck me. someone who wrote about being queer, ace and a poc like me shitting on me and telling me my identity is inherently problematic when it's the reason i can't access mental health atm, which is something i need cause the 'discourse' & the violent abuse i faced on this website for (cont)

(suicide ideation, death threat and conversion tw) including death threats, caused me to fall back into suicidal ideation. and the only therapist available to me suggested conversion therapy (i live in a small central american country, there’s not much knowledge about these things- she thinks if i can be converted to straight, i will no longer suffer from my orientation). this is horrible tbh. i’m sorry to unload but as another poc ace i feel safe around you. i guess what i’m trying to say is that this ‘discourse’, which is just a bunch of people thinking they can gaslight and abuse aces or call the ‘bad’ or ‘cringy’ and don’t want to have any sort of intra community discussion but literally deny us our experiences and be abusive, is harming my mental health. friends i trusted turned out to be acephobic, send me literal death threats. in what kind of WORLD is that fucking ok? idk where im going with this, im sorry. do you know of any ways i can deal with this wave of ace and aro hatred that’s spread this website? i don’t know how to go about it. and now in the spanish speaking online lgbtq+ community, enbyphobes have copied it to exclude enbys for ‘being actually cis’ and are calling us ‘cisnb’ after regs in english calling aces and aros ‘cishet’ so that’s just fucking great :( that’s because the community is only now starting to realize enbys exist. and it’s also learning that about aspecs, so im starting to hear it in spanish too. i just can’t escape it.

cough. anyway… my personal coping and self-care strategies.

my go-to strategies for coping and self-care certainly don’t work for everyone or in all situations, but with Tumblr and social media-related thing in general i often try to:

remove myself from the source of the distress.

even if only temporarily for a few hours, days, a week– whatever, i do what i can to mentally and / or physically check myself out of whatever it is that’s negatively affecting me and do my best to turn my attention to other things. i go to Starbucks, read a book, clean my apartment, focus on a personal project, catch up on shows, turn off my computer and my phone and finally make myself food– whatever. i focus on things that are actually tangible and perhaps offer some form of self-gratification even if it’s just in the form of tasting good because goddamnit, the time and cost required to get a caramel macchiato is (and quite frankly should be) far more worth it to me than the time and (mental) cost spent giving a damn about someone else’s bullshit. or so i tell myself.

if the source of the distress is outside of the internet, as might be the case with a therapist, i cut that person (or thing) out of my life even if it’s just by silently breaking off communication with them by not returning their calls or not going to their therapy sessions temporarily or indefinitely. as i said above, that person / those people / that thing is not worth the time or (mental) cost required of me by dealing with them.

limit or manage my exposure to the source of the distress when removing myself from it completely isn’t possible.

i feel like this often ends up being more taxing than simply removing myself all together, but blocking / unfollowing immediately upon coming across something or someone that can potentially or does set you off is important. blocking applies to more than just people, blogs or posts but also blacklisting tags, keywords etc using something like Xkit for Tumblr, the native block & mute features on Twitter, etc. if the distress comes in the form of asks, instant messages, etc then i disable those things at least temporarily, especially when blocking an IP fails to get the job done. i also avoid browsing through tags, which can be tough when you actively want to find something to help yourself feel better about yourself / your experiences / etc…

when the source of the distress isn’t online-based, i try to manage / limit my exposure by avoiding the person or thing in question when possible. again, actively avoiding someone or something requires effort on my part and can in and of itself be taxing, so it’s not ideal… but i do what i can.

venting.

while venting is by no means The Solution to anything and comes with its own set of risks / problems when done publicly, venting can be done in so many different ways. it’s a relatively easy form of instantly relief for me regardless of how small that relief may ultimately be. whether it be tweeting, journaling (online or pen & paper), venting on sites specifically made for that purpose, scribbling feelings onto a piece of paper and then immediately ripping that paper to shreds, typing heatedly into a text document and then closing it without saving– whatever, it helps for me to take even a moment out of my day to acknowledge how i feel and speak those feelings into existence beyond just the mess that is my own head at times. even if those feelings only exist in the world for seconds before i delete or physically destroy them because Anxiety And Shit, it still helps.

but perhaps most importantly is to:

focus on the fact that no matter what anyone else says or does, i am The Authority on who i am, how i feel, etc.

i know who i am, but i also know that who i am is not the problem even when others make me feel otherwise. regardless of how i may feel about the things that i face in regards to my sexuality, my gender, my race, etc, i try to keep in mind that those things that i face are a product of the society that i live in and the people who insist on interjecting their own personal bullshit into my life. imho, this is as true of Tumblr “discourse” as it is of life in general.

while it may not be possible to escape society or shitty people all together, there is a lot more to society and life in general than the bullshit that we find ourselves faced with at times. i try my best to look beyond or through “discourse” on Tumblr and see the communities of people both on an off Tumblr who, like me, are against such bullshit. while shitty therapists and shitty people in general may rebrand and rehash the same old tired, hurtful shit that’s been said to others for forever, i try to look past that and focus instead on the fact that a lot of people aren’t like that and have actually learned from the past and and are better for it. i try to focus on a future where i will have access to competent mental health resources and care even though i do not have that now…

…….i’m not sure why i ended up writing this short novel of a post that ultimately amounts to nothing, but yeah. anon, no matter how hard things get, please know that you’re never going at it alone. there are others out there struggling, coping, surviving in spite of the same or similar things, it’s just that if hardly anyone talks about it we end up feeling alone in it, unaware of others’ company…

….which is one reason why despite the potential risks, venting publicly even in the form of anonymous asks can be worth it sometimes and i very much welcome such asks on this blog.

right ive just turned 17 and yes i know blah blah blah but what ive been doing is on gocompare just looking for possible cars on ebay then checking the insurance to find the cheapest ones. now iv managed to go from over three grand to cars which were about 1800 but then today every single car iv check was over 3k even cars yesterday quoted 1800 i also noticed that elephant and admiral used to be the cheapest by thousands but now they dont cover me and when i went to admiral direct they quoted 4k i havent changed any details any ideas why this is :)

Car insurance for total loss?

I got a car accident due to bad weather and got a total loss. No one is involved in the accident. I`ve got a full coverage insurance at that time. The insurance company is cancelled a contract with me after a claim (accident) I issued, which I found it through insurance agency. The insurance company said that they did not know the previous accident record on my driver license. Then they cancelled the contract. Can I possibly claim a complain with my insurance company? I terribly need any car since I use a car for my job. The insurance company said they will not give me any money either a car. What should I do? Thank you""

Question re: insurance premiums and taxes?

I've read that health insurance premiums can be itemized deductions. Any others? What about accident insurance I pay for out of my pocket? I pay for both accident and sickness premiums to the same company and pay for all my policies out of my pocket. Any help is appreciated.

How much would my Motorcycle Insurance be?

Basically I'm getting my A1 licence (so I can only drive 125cc and 11kW max). I'd be a new driver. I'm just really looking for ballpark figures as to what the monthly insurance costs would be of (for example) an Aprilia RS125 or a Honda CBR125R that's 5 years old??

Why does it cost so much to add a spouse to your insurance?

Its time for my boyfriend to renew his insurance at work, so i was looking threw the booklet they sent him, and i cant believe it cost so much to add a spouse to your plan.. i thought if anything maybe it would double, but in most cases it triples! like one option is $17 per pay period for just him, but if you add a spouse it goes up to $62  and one is $25 for just him, and $92 if he adds a spouse, why is it so much? it would be cheaper if the spouse got there own plan, so whats the point? i would think there would be a discount of some sort for more than one person but its actually the opposite? why is this?

IV. On my writing style: I use sentences, paragraphs, one-liners, and gifs/icons/icon gifs. If you don’t use icons, gifs, or one-liners, that’s fine. I’m okay with just writing sentences/paragraphs. Basically, I tend to use everything and my style can be rather fluid as a result.

V. My portrayal of Chris is taken mainly from the TV series and is very heavily headcanon-based. I do not read the comics, but I do consider the tie-in novels to be canon to the TV series.

Interacting

I. If you come to me with an rp idea, I request that you write the starter. Please don’t ask me to write it. In addition, do NOT come into my inbox with "Hey, wanna rp?" or "Can we rp?" and not have an idea for what you want to roleplay.

II. I prefer to use the IM messaging system solely for OOC chatting and plotting. I won’t role-play or respond IC over the messaging system.

III. I will not tolerate hate directed at me or my partners. Anon hate will be deleted or responded to IC (if it is directed at my muse), and I am not responsible for my muse’s actions.

they are a next gen sibling to Chris (my Chris has zero right to regard your muse as his brother/sister/half-sibling/step-sibling)

their sole existence is to be in a romantic/sexual relationship with Chris (or it is part of your OC's backstory that they are in an established relationship with him when we have never interacted). I am not writing Chris solely so your muse can get laid by a pretty witch.

Shipping

I. I ship Chris with chemistry. That’s it. However, I do headcanon him as a demiromantic grey-asexual—he has a very low sex drive and will have sex if it is what his partner wants, but he rarely feels sexual attraction. It will also take a long time for him to fall in love with your muse.

II. Don’t assume relationships. Do not assume my muse is best friends with yours, knows who your muse is, that your muse is an acquaintance of or related to Chris, or that they are in a romantic/sexual relationship. The only time this is okay is if your muse is one of the Halliwells or a character Chris has met in-canon. (Even then, I am extremely selective when it comes to Halliwell muses.)

III. Related to the above, do NOT force a ship. If your muse makes sexual advances towards Chris and he shuts them down, do not have your muse continue to pursue him. It is okay if your muse falls in love with him, but he is under no obligation to return your muse’s affections. Also, PLEASE talk it out with me first if you want to ship your character with Chris—and keep in mind that I have every right to say “No” to a particular ship.

IV. I do not write incest or mpreg.

V. Again, I am not here solely to write smut. If that's all your muse wants Chris for, then it would be best if you found someone else.
