Angsty OBKK Au where Obito's sharingan is an actual poison for Kakashi and everytime he uses the sharingan, he is shortening his lifespan.

Problem is? Kakashi knows it and still doesn't want to take it out, he goes as far as hiding this information from every single soul for years because despite the pain and weakness that it causes, he will make sure to live long enough for Obito to see the world through his eye, as the only promise he will keep until his dying breath.

Nobody knows of the consequences of the eye, not even a very alive, stalker-ish obito knows about it. In fact, he thought it was just Chakra draining.

Anyway, he doesn't know until Kakashi reaches a point of no return, and obito has now to live with the consequences.

Okay so like he’d be tossing and turning until he hears your soft breathing from the other side of the bed. you’re fast asleep probably dreaming about him tbh.

He can’t help but reach over and pull you closer, chest to chest, heart to heart. Your warmth immediately easing his troubled thoughts.

His arms were wrapped firm around your sleeping form. Tired irritated eyes admiring your relaxed expression. He brought his hand to your face, pushing a stray strand of hair from out your face, his fingers ghosting over your cheek.

His fingers were calloused from all the years of having to defend himself with his hands. The same hands that battered and bruised peoples faces were privileged enough to feel your soft untouched skin. Sometimes he felt like his touch wasn’t worthy enough for you. He didn’t want to taint his sweet baby with the hands of someone who’s killed before.

But your love radiated from your heart to his soul, making him selfish, you’re his and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

He’d rather hold you with his corrupted hands than have someone else, someone who could give you a normal life, hold you close like this.

The silence brought thoughts into his mind, thoughts of the moments you two shared. Your first kiss, your first date, your first fight. Moments he wouldn’t have wanted to share with anyone else but you. His mind and heart raced a mile per minute. He laid there under your body, hand coming up to rub his face. He looked back down at you, pure love filling his eyes.

His thoughts shifted from questions to statements.

“Does she really want to be with me forever?” “Am I really good enough for her?”

“I’m thinking too much, she’s the one, I’m sure if it, I want her in my life forever.”

Toji was not a man of many words… he kept his thoughts to himself but he’d make it known just how much he loves you. He’d protect you and cherish you for the rest of his life.

“I love you” he whispered into your hair, bringing his arms tighter around your body, stroking your hair. His heart skipped 10 thousand beats when you nuzzled into him like a little cat curling it’s body in its sleep.

It would be early morning by the time he falls alseep, 4am. The birds outside starting to chirp little wake up tunes and his mind would clear, your soft body comforting him. You’re all he needs in life, and he wants to give you the world in return for you just being you.

probably a dumb question, but I'm working on a charlie and etoiles fic and i was wondering if i could get some advice on writing them? (or just writing in general)

the current plot of the fic is essentially that etoiles was a tiny (abt 7 centimeters) person but used technology to make himself human sized, until the tech fails and he shrinks again, while charlie is also tiny and he finds and helps etoiles. it has a modern world/political backdrop in a world where tinies and humans live together

I’m gonna try to give some advice but take everything I say with a grain of salt. I’m just a lil dude with no formal training or “practice”. Idk how I do what I do tbh

All advice under the cut so I don’t take up anyones dashboards!!

For characters, esp mcyt, I’ve found that comilation vids on YouTube are a really great resource!! Heres one I like for Étoiles: X

Don’t always trust my depiction of characters since I myself am not immune to the oocification of them at times. Plus, my guys get shaped by the narratives I’ve forced them into for several chapters so they are not exactly like their cc or q counterparts. But the beauty of fanfiction is that I can play dolls however I please!

One thing I didn’t do in the beginning that I try to watch now is vocabulary for certain characters. For Étoiles, English is his second or even third language. There are certain words native English speakers use that he probably wouldn’t, same for phrases or sentence structure. Earlier, I wrote him a little too… neat and clean with his words. Even his internal monologue was off bc of that. Here’s an example I remember from fingers-

Og: “Please, treat yourself with the same kindness that you afford others.”

Edited: “Please, treat yourself with the same kindness you give others.”

Even now that sounds stilted, I would probably change it to: “Slime, give yourself some… understanding. Be nice to you just like you are nice to everyone else.”

He wouldn’t casually use the word “afford��� like I might, and his English might be a little more jilted or awkward. Though don’t always make that assumption- Étoiles is fluent, just consider how learning a new language affects how you use it compared to a native speaker. I still slip up and definitely say things he wouldn’t but I’m learning as I go too!

I wish I had better resources for Charlie but I’ve been watching him for so long now that his character is easier for me, thought I’m not perfect.

When writing starcicle- the biggest thing to note this that they both love their bits. Someone said they get into a recursive feedback loop until one of them dies or logs off and it’s true. They goof off and Charlie flirts with Étoiles, which is sometimes reciprocated jokingly. I wish I had a video of all their interactions, they’re just so good. But yeah they feed off each others silly while having genuinely nice moments like when Étoiles complimented Charlie’s ability to make people smile and the election dinner. I use their separate personalities and the few interactions they’ve had to build on and expand their relationship in fanfics. Kind of like an informed understanding??? Idk it’s fanfiction. You can write them however you please tbh. I wanted my progression in immi to seem a little more natural but it’s still not exactly them and that’s okay! I’m just here to have fun and so should you!!

As for writing in general- dig through related tags on tumblr!! There are some great resources on tumblr and buried in peoples blogs. Look to see if people are tagging posts for personal sorting and then stalk their blog to see what else they find useful haha. I do it all the time… I wish I had a masterpost for this but sadly not yet. I’m trying to build my own tag for references but it’s slow going. Just yesterday I saw a great text ref for writing fight scenes on tiktok so you’ll keep finding new resources all the time. Start your own collection of posts and resources since there is no gigantic one available.

I will say a few things: outlines, no matter how do you them, are great. Jumping off of that- when creating a world like you are, write down all your rules and world building first so as you write, you can reference it and make sure you are staying within the guidelines of the world you created. I do this for hybrids like Charlie so I don’t say one thing and change it a few chapters later.

-Never fully delete anything you write unless it’s minor edits. Remove it from the doc sure, but save it somewhere else. You never know where it might work better.

-Read. Read others work, read books, read articles, read anything creative. I think the only way I can write the way I do is bc I’ve spent the last 10 or so years obsessively reading lmao. I was not a good writing when I tried back in 2011, and I’m still learning now, but just reading so much other material really helped I think. Don’t stay in your own bubble.

-Write for yourself first. You can write to share with others but always write for you too. It’s easy to get caught up in needing “approval” or validation, I do too, but love what you make as well.

-read your work aloud to yourself. This is great for proofreading and also awkward sentence structure/placement.

-when you want something to happen, don’t just flippantly make it happen. That’s how you get ooc moments and actions. Want something to happen and then look at your characters, understand where they need to be in order for that thing to occur. Not just in a physical sense but also a character sense. You can bypass this by letting the audience know if there’s an established dynamic already so you don’t have to build one, but you still need text to support and uplift it.

I have a lot of thoughts and ideas on writing but also I’m not always right. Like I said, look at other creative work, look at other resources. Practice!!! I’m practicing too still

cuddle monster liam: liam is a leech and he clings to theo when they sleep. theo's a little confused but accepts it anyway. i have this scene i want to write and it's one of the first times liam cuccled with him and it the basic part of it is liam just nudges his head under theos arm like a puppy and nuzzles his face into theo's chest bc he's cold.

look you: this is more of a concept than anything but basically theo and liam have thing thing where they say "look, you" or some kind of variation of that when the other is being a little shit or self depreciating.

tfw you do a 30 day relationship challenge when ur not even in a relationship: so corey and mason do a 30 day relationship challenge and they rope theo and liam into doing it too. i got the challenge off some website and i was like yes. there's gonna be 31 parts in theory but they wont be super long i think. i need all the creative juices going for this one.

getting shot with an arrow had never been this fun: theo and liam are complete idiots and they manage to get impaled with the SAME arrow and are stuck together for Reasons. it's shenanigan city up in here as they navigate how to get help. the important thing is that they have fun !

the morey split: mason and corey break up (or take a break or just arent talking i havent decided yet) and its up to theo and liam to get to the bottom of this and get them back together! they are terrible at it.

I'm very happy with the rambling answer for what it's worth 😭 MORE people should be prone to rambling TBH. What are we on earth for if not to ramble like I'm so serious.... But anyway. I wish I could write even half as good as you. And I say this with admiration like I hope that vibe is correctly communicated. As someone who's read not all but most of your fics esp the ongoing ones (abmb and 🐝charmer) I think your prowess as a writer has really grown. It's all about finding a balance between, like, the dialogue, the flow of said dialogue, the introspection of a character's mind that really only a written work can give you, and the description of wtf is going on. And this first chapter just HIT for some reason. I don't mean to make it seem like the other fics are lesser, it was just so noticeable to me that the quality of the actual writing seemed to have increased. But it still felt like YOU. Your writer's voice. Just more refined?? Idk. It really felt like you had found that sweet spot, that balance, more so than in the other fics. BUT I STILL READ THEM AND I LOVE THEM DEARLY! This is meant to be a compliment fr fr lol. And sorry if it's unnecessary but even though it's -just fanfiction- it's not Just Fanfiction . To Me . Because fanfiction is kind of everything isn't it. But not all of it is created equal and I think it should be ok to say that? I critique what I love and some of my favorite written works I've ever read have been fanfics. Ah Javi....my favorite fuckboy. I have such odd feelings for Pena, I love him and I hate him. But that's what made the character so compelling! Personally, though, I think it's the prostitute thing. Even then they knew damn well that most women who turn to prostitution did so in desperation, because of poverty, trafficking, drugs, or whatever other unsavory reasons and I have zero respect for men who visit prostitutes despite the excuse they give for Javi needing them as "informants," whatever (these women need help and protection, not their bodies being used as a commodity-- it's the johns and pimps who should be prosecuted, not them). And the events of chapter 4 (?) don't surprise me because a woman is distress is Javier's kryptonite. She could have been anyone and Javi would have jumped to protect her. I'm glad she's sticking to her guns.

I like the other guy! He's cute and sweet and please don't make him turn out to be an asshole. Let him be a good guy. I know you want her with Javi at the end but PLEASE don't go for the cheap thrill of "Javi had to save her!" that so many other fanfics fall victim to.

I completely understand what you mean by that, Javier is a complicated character and I personally believe he wouldn't be so likeable if it weren't for Pedro's acting. I agree with you and I think men who go after hookers are kinda gross, but well, it's fiction and Javi has that 'he's broken by i can fix him' effect on us, so that's why we like him so much, and also because he is literally walking sex, lmao

I partially agree with you on one thing, he would stick up for any women that was hurt in front of him, but he would only go feral for reader, so yeah, he'd protect a damsel in distress but to that extent, just if she were reader, because he truly loves her. Javi's problem isn't lack of love, he loves a lot, he just doesn't know what to do with it.

And yes, I like Manu too, don't worry I won't turn him into an asshole, he's s nice guy and he will remain that way until he either stays with reader or breaks up with her when he sees she loves someone else.

I've been looking for a long and really good felix fic for so long (i feel there's a high chance that i already read all of them pls help) and this like exactly what ive been looking for!! It had me hooked the moment i saw the masterlist! Your writing is exceptionally amazing, i really cant put into words just how much and i genuinely enjoy reading this story a, like so mich so that i reread it quite often.

Kinda went off the rail, but the question is, how many chapters do you presume there'll be? It doesn't have to be an exact number, just how much you expect! Amestris was now a destroyed country, buried under a bigger city after thousands of years. Every person that once survived the Promised Day, grew old had their descendants, moved out and left the country to die.

(btw, the timeline stablishes before the Liberation battle, focusing on the time before Kurogiri was captured by the heroes and they had to leave near the mountains for some time.)

It all starts with an accident where Keigo was involved, a lot of people died and he became the only survivor of it by being induced in a coma.

In that time, he regained not only his memories as Greed, the homonculus who once fought his own father and was killed for it, but in return he absorbed the souls of the ones who died in that accident.

Keigo is confused and terrified. He is Hawks, but now he was also Greed, with the souls of innocent civilians inside of him, screaming in familiar agony and endless pain.

Before succumbing into despair, Keigo just accepts his fate. He didn't want to kick the bucket again just yet, but he couldn't go become a underground mafia boss or something like he was in Amestris. He lives with the momentary goal of discovering himself once again, meditation and some more things like that.

Long story short, the Comission gives him time to recover, a month vacation. Thing he gladly accepts without further question, without telling anyone, Keigo travels to the farthest forrest of Japan, near mountains and less civilization.

In there, Keigo learns that he can summon his ultimate shield at will, but his wings and feathers would become ash the moment he extends his carbonization to his torso (he can re grow his wings once he turns it off but it will take hours for his feathers to grow back).

He can also heal as quickly as he did back then, his stamina and physical force too. Just like when he was a complete homunculus.

So far, he didn't try dying, call him a coward, but he wasn't going to risk dying again just for an experiment where he know that the possibilities are 50/50. So, no thanks.

What he does with all that information? He trains. His balance is off whenever he doesn't have his heavy wings, his bones become more solid too, and now that he wouldn't have any feathers as swords, he has to train with his claws like before.

He didn't expect to find the League of Villains in that kind of place, and neither to be discovered by them. Before he could even escape, he gets cornered by them, Shigaraki tries to desintegrate him without question, but getting surprised by seeing that his quirk doesn't work on him?! And not even his teammates attacks affect him at all...

Dabi is as surprised as his boss by seeing how the man in front of him doesnt melt or burn with his cremation fire, which lead him to ask him the motive of his presence there.

'Kill first and ask later? Motherfucker.'

Keigo, would absolutely lie about that without a blink, but now that he was Greed... He couldn't do it.

So he tells them that he escaped from a death life situation and he was there to train himself; that wasn't lying, he was just hiding and molding the truth.

Keigo comes with the brightest idea for the moment... He knew that the Comission would send his feathery ass to the League to become a double agent and most likely die while doing it. So, by not revealing his new power, Kei- GREED, asks to join them.
