Chapter 1: 1. A Suit of Armor

‘‘… “Slime,” Étoiles cuts him off just as he’s getting wound up about what Roy would be, “Turn towards me, I want to make sure this helmet fits.”

Slime keeps talking as he turns around, ranting still in full swing. Slime only stops the wild hand waving so Étoiles can step closer, but he still fidgets like it’s difficult to stay still. Étoiles has to hold in his laugh. He grabs the helmet and places it on Slime’s head, adjusting the strap under his chin until it’s snug.

“You can breathe?”

Slime nods, pausing his rant.

“Great!” Étoiles cheers before gripping Slime by the shoulders with both hands, shaking him aggressively back and forth. The helmet wiggles, knocking against Slime’s head because it’s still too loose. Damn. Étoiles tuts, letting go of the hybrid’s shoulders and undoing the strap. He takes the helmet off to look at the inside padding.

He hears Slime sulking in the background, “Warn a guy the next time you want to try out shaken baby syndrome… Did he raise you like that, Red?”

Étoiles looks up, confused because Slime isn’t talking to him and Bad is still talking to the eggs over the hill. He sees Slime standing by, oh, it’s Pomme, of course. She’s sleepily braiding blades of grass nearby but perks up a little when Slime comes over. Étoiles winces realizing how late it must be. They’ve been trying to fix her sleep schedule and here Pomme is, out way past her bedtime.

Baghera is going to kill him. …“

i hate how you get desensitized to the cool stuff in your WIP if you've been writing it for a long time so when you read back over it you're like "this isn't as cool as i thought :(" but it still is! you just read it too many times

I actually have not! Mostly bc I don’t have Netflix atm and also I don’t know if I can handle the heartache I’ve seen come from the show. Beautiful heartache

Now don’t think that means I haven’t had literally everything spoiled bc I couldn’t resist looking at pretty ladies (Mel… pitfighter Vi…. ponytail Cait…… SEVIKA..,..,,,,,,,). It’s fine, it was worth it and I’d do it again.

I’ll definitely sit down to watch it at some point, it’s inevitable, I just can’t take anything remotely sad right now. I’m such a baby

And yes, @mad-c1oud indoctrinated me into this ship and they are the reason for my first real fanart so you should definitely read immi.

Also I really like the idea from the fic: Am I strong enough that Chalie gets kinda drunk on potions and magic so this is heavily inspired by that scene in chapter 2.

I also have a version without the dark lighting, oh and I am horrible at posing and proportions so I had a reference for that, but I want to get better at it so I don’t have to constantly use others templates.

most important part of the writing process actually is when you loop a single song on max volume and stare at the word document and imagine the characters doing things for 14 hours. this is known as getting in the zone

Charlie and the 5+ times he gets caught under the mistletoe. He starts it, just becuase he can’t help it but then the islanders turn on him in a heartbeat and he gets more than he bargained for. Smooches from friends, family, more.
