Xavier
âXavier,â your voice cracked as you saw him clutching his chest. He collapsed onto the ground as you rushed over to him, grabbing his hand, âXavier!â you said it more forcefully. How were you supposed to know this would happen? One moment, you were fighting wanderers, trying to find clues on a possible Aethercore, and the nextâŚhow did this happen? You donât even remember how you got here; the only thing on your mind is Xavier right now.
âI-Iâm,â his voice cracked, and it almost sounded like a death rattle as you heard the sharp intake of air. It was almost like his lungs refused to allow anything inside of them right now. YOu couldnât even register the wetness on your cheeks as you tried cupping his cheeks.
He was so pale, so cold. How did this happen? How did this happen to him? Your heart beat erratically as you looked at him, his eyes already glazed over. You could see the shine of whatever collar was around his neck. You know you had seen it before, and he never told you why it was there, but now it was so much clearer. Another shaky intake of air, this time almost wet like his lungs were filling up with water.
âWhat can I do?â you said, trying to help him. Why was he glowing now? His body seemed brighter, almost like the light of his evol. It was unnatural as you looked at him. His temperature hadnât changed; he was still cold as ice, and his skin was now clammy. âXavier, please tell me thereâs something I can do.â You cried out.
Then you saw it, the paleness of his face as he looked up at you; those brilliant blue eyes now lacked the normal luster they always held. They were almost hollowed, ghosts of their former self, and completely unfocused as he tried looking directly at you, âItâll be okay?â he said, âI promise, itâll all be alright.â He tried to assure you, but his voice was so quiet and almost distant. It was like he was speaking so far away, his words echoing through a tunnel, and you realized now that it was because there was too much blood rushing in your ears. You were panicking; you were losing him.
âPlease, Xavier, donâtâŚâ you said, choking out a sob, âYou canât leave me, not like this. Thereâs still so much we have to do.â You cried out, holding onto him for dear life. Even as you held him, though, you could feel it. His body slowly became nothing, turning into the brilliant light that was normally a comfort to you. Now, it was mocking your naivety, thinking that things could stay the same as they always had. Thinking that in this lifetime you could find happiness with him.
ThisâŚlifetime.
âI promise, just look into the sky,â Xavier said, and through tears, you tried looking up, but it was overcast, âMy light, I promise, itâll always shine on you. Guide you. Itâll never be far.â He said, letting out a small cough. Then he was gone, and in an instant, your entire world crumbled. Your nails dug into the ground as you wailed into the night sky; the only thing left of Xavier was a singular star-shaped charm that you so often saw on his light blade.
He was gone, and you feltâŚso hollow. It was nothing like when Granny died or Caleb died. It was like a part of your soul was ripped out of your chest, and you could only stare at the ground, sobbing and letting your tears wet the dirt underneath you.
Then, there was a startled gasp from your throat. Your eyes snapping open to reveal nothing but darkness around you. As your eyes adjusted and you came to, you felt something warm around you, the brush of something soft on your wet cheeks and a voice that was so familiar and grounding it made you sob again.
Your eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, and you could finally hear it, âItâs okay, shhhh itâs alright,â Xavierâs voice was trying to get you out of whatever nightmare you had been having. You turned in his arms and wrapped your own around his torso, pressing your face into his chest. You couldnât help the sobs that escaped you, little hiccups leaving your throat as you cried into his chest. His hands never left you, one of them playing with your hair, the other rubbing along your upper back.
His words were soothing, letting you know he was there, he was with you, heâd protect you. But you couldnât protect him. It sent you spiraling again as you hugged him closer, and you felt his lips on your forehead now, his hand rubbing away some of your tears as he forced you to look at him.
âHey, come on, look at my little star,â he murmured, his voice calm despite your hysterics. You could hear his breathing for once, forcing your own to even out with his own as you felt your heart slowing down a bit, your body no longer in a complete panic despite how your mind still told you that you let him die.
âXavier,â you finally said, your voice wrecked and broken as you cupped his cheek. It was warm under your palm, soothing; his skin wasnât clammy, and he felt alive. His blue eyes shined down on you, and you realized then that he had used his evol to make speckles of yellow light engulf the entire room, creating a starry night scene around you.
âYes, Iâm here, itâs okay.â He said, taking your hand and kissing your knuckles, âIâm not going anywhere, so you can breathe.â He was soothing you, and you were melting into him. It was a nightmare, a bad dream, but it had felt so goddamn real.
âYouâre really not going to leave meâŚâ you began, biting your lower lip as you tried not to cry again, âYou wonât turn to stardust, right? You wonât die on me, right? Youâre gonna stay right here by my side.â You could see the way his eyes widened at your statement before taking on a more solemn look.
âI have never, and will never have any intention of leaving you,â he finally said, âMy place is by your side, and Iâll do everything I can to remain by it, to make sure youâre okay.â He promised you, and you nodded.
âAnd what about you?â your voice sounded so tired, âYouâll make sure weâre both okay, right?â you asked, needing to hear it. Something flashed in his eyes as he took in a shaky breath, then he nodded.
âIâll do everything I can to make sure weâre both okay.â He settled on. He was sitting up now, dragging you with him as he pulled you onto his lap and pressed his forehead against your own, âIâd never want to see you sad.â
âThen you have to stay alive, no matter what.â You spoke, knowing what you wanted, âBecause without youâŚIâŚâ he could see the tears welling up in your eyes again.
âI know, shhh, I know.â He was rocking you in his arms, âIâll do my best not to die, okay?â they werenât the words you needed to hear, but it was a little nice to hear his honesty. At least heâd put in the effort to stay alive for you.
âOkay,â you finally said, the word was barely a murmur as you closed your eyes, âOkayâŚâ

how about lando letting his girl be on top for the first time ??? luv u
đ you've made my inbox so happy â sending you kisses
it was perhaps the fourth, fifth, time you'd slept together before you swallowed your nerves and asked lando if you could be on top this time. almost immediately you felt a wave of embarrassment, the urge to bury your head in your hands and pretend you hadn't uttered a word became overwhelming as you tried to inspect how your newish boyfriend was going to react.
the position you were in had already formed that all-too familiar knot in your stomach â sat in his lap as his blunt fingernails dug into the bare flesh of your thighs. for a split second he thought he misheard you, only realising what exactly you'd proposed when you ducked your head to finish tracing your forefinger over his collarbones. you couldn't stop your babbling, even when you tried; "it's justâ i'd hate for you to think that you always have to do all the work, especially because i know how much you enjoy it andâ lando stop making this awkward!"
he'd only be able to shut you up by gripping your cheeks, squeezing them together gently as he raised his eyebrow in a manner of are you finished yet? and lando wasn't entirely sure on how to respond: simply catching your lips with his as you shuffled that little bit closer, whining almost pathetically into his mouth as he tilted his head back, letting your tongue slip further against his. it was a messy kiss, a heated one laced with urgency as he felt the blood rush to where your bodies were connected.
you were thankful that he was pressed against the headboard, the wooden piece offering leverage as you lifted your hips just enough for you to bunch his shirt up onto your waist and lando to kick his boxers between the sheets. he couldn't take his eyes off you, even if he tried, enthralled with the way you tucked your bottom lip between your teeth as you nudged yourself against his tip, "just go slow, yeah? don't want my girl to hurt herself."
his words offered solace as you strangled back a whimper, barely able to lift your chin from your chest as lando's hands cupped the back of your thighs for support. the angle was different â one that made your cunt stretch in a new way, the pounds of your heart drowning out any mewls that left your mouth as you pushed him further inside of you.
it was lando who stopped you halfway down his length, his forehead scrunched as his sight became impeded by a strand or two of his hair. it was picturesque: the way his biceps flexed as he held you tightly, a sheen of sweat coating his skin as he dropped his vision to where he had disappeared inside of you. his moans were incoherent, a mixture of fuck and your name as he guided your movements, only letting you sink deeper when he heard the way you drawled out your pleads.
mouths clashing he concealed your quiet whines of pain, his tip kissing your cervix in a way that you'd never felt before. his lips didn't leave your, hungrily attached as you languidly rocked your hips, hands clung onto the back of his head as you pulsated around him. lando's hands trailed from the curve of your ass to between your legs, the wetness that coated his fingers earning a groan as he thumbed at your clit â the pleasure surging through your veins as you listened to him groan, neither of you set on cumming anytime soon in fear the euphoria would end too quickly.

Hi Bunny! Could I request a croissant with a side of mocha coffee & champagne + Fernando please? đđť
bakery menu
want to suggest your own order? look at the menu for more information! i love getting requests in! please if you can reblog and comment! this bunny feeds off praise! as for this one, thank you lovely anon! i hope you love this! enjoy!
croissant ("i wonder if your father knows what happens during the off hours. if he knows you're here with me.") + mocha coffee (breeding kink) + champagne (sugar daddy au) served by fernando alonso (formula one)!
cw: smut/pwp, daddy issues, age gap (20s/40s), daddy kink, sugar daddy au, breeding kink, pregnancy, bimbo!reader, missionary, fingering
you'd go to visit 'friends' in spain during the off season of formula one, and you'd always come home with some kind of bruise. mostly on your face or knees, your father knew how clumsy you were, and didn't really bother him too much. his poor, simply daughter got another bump and bruise.
you were just happy that fernando's cum didn't stain the front of your shorts.
madrid was beautiful even in january. it wasn't particularly warm, but it wasn't freezing like your father's home across the atlantic. but that just gave you more of a chance to be closer to your lover, fernando alonso.
the much older formula one driver that was working with your father's marketing firm on a new collaboration. it meant you saw a fair bit of fernando when you were 'helping' your father around the office. (your father thought that since you couldn't get into post-secondary that some working experience would bridge the gap!). but, you were doing less organization of paper work and more having the formula one driver fuck you over top of the photocopier. (he even got a photocopy of your pretty tiddies out of it).
the world was such a big place, and you were just a simple girl.
but, you never did have to worry. not with fernando by your side, letting the older man keep you like a perfect little pet. and that meant spending your time in spain, letting the driver just make you feel like the most perfect princess in the world.
the house that fernando lived in was beautiful and gave you plenty of room to explore. you'd be by the pool or snuggled up in front of the large flat screen television.
you were a pretty live in toy that frenando enjoyed nothing more than to fuck the living daylights out of him. currently you were in the bedroom on your back with your sugar daddy crowding your space, with his fingers buried inside of you.
he said softly, "i wonder if your father knows what happens during the off hours. if he knows you're here with me." he knew it riled you up when he mentioned your asshole of a father.
you squirmed and said, "nando! c'mon! no fair?" your back arched a little when he rubbed against the perfect spot. your pretty pains dug into the covers as he continued to finger you.
he shook his head, "no, no. you are just too cute under my thumb. your father gave you your job to keep you busy, but i think that you work harder on your knees then in the office."
you whined, "i'm a good employee."
he leaned in and kissed you on the cheek, leaving a wet mark on your skin, "sure, beautiful. you're the employee of the month." he chuckled as he slipped a third finger in, which made your core throb.
you squirmed a little more and reached for your lover. he went in for a searing kiss which made you moan loudly. you felt your heart batter in your chest as he continued to sink his digits into your pussy. the wet sounds made him hot all over.
"you're so pretty like this." he said as his cock twitched in his boxers as he continued to pleasure you. he licked his lips, "such a dumb little thing, you think you get by because you look so cute. but, just know, you're all mine."
you squeaked and nodded, "yes, daddy."
he took his fingers out of you then slapped your pussy which made you almost cum right there. he got himself out of his underwear soon after and got between your legs. his cock was impressive in size and made your skin burn as you watched him get comfortable between your plush thighs.
you looked up at him and said, "please, daddy. i need you." then kept your eyes on him as he shifted your hips up to meet his cock. he sank into your pretty pussy with relative ease, the entire process made the hair stand up on the back of your neck.
"my pretty princess." he purred, "so beautiful. so good under me, you are so painfully sweet. and stupid." he said as he placed both hands on either side of your body and started to move up against you. he felt the thump of pleasure in his head with every hard thrust.
"i'm not dumb, daddy."
he chuckled and grabbed you by the face to look at him, as he moved against you. he grinned at you, "not when i'm done with you, princess."
fernando was a rough lover, he was the kind of daddy dom who kept you on a tight leash. he had to, you had a habit of getting into trouble. maybe next time he'd get you a collar to yank on when he fucked you.
when he bred you.
that was what this all boiled down to. fernando had to make sure that his special little princess didn't stray too far. it was hard to do that when a plump little baby in your belly. maybe it'll smarten you up to be a mother. your father would be happy that his dumb little daughter married rich.
you whined as he continued to move against you.
fernando felt the sweat drip down his back as he continued to rut into you. the painfully sweet thing that he managed to trap, to keep under his thumb while he reamed your sweet cunt. he could feel his heartbeat in the back of his throat as he moved against you.
"you're so perfect.' he said.
"thank you daddy." you whimpered as you felt hot all over.
he loved it, he loved the control he had over you. the sweet little girl that he found, the place to leave his seed. let it spit into the back of your womb. it all belonged to him.
you whimpered, "please daddy." most sugar daddy's would pay to keep a baby quiet, but not fernando. he'd pay for you to raise his little baby properly. be a good mother and wife. it was a roundabout way of making sure you'd marry him.
he was a possessive old bastard like that, make sure he nabbed himself a pretty young thing he can empty his balls in and watch care for his brats. it was quite a charmed idea.
and you had no idea what was going on. only that it felt good when fernando fucked your cunt with heavy thrusts that made your mind swim.
"so precious.' he said, "and all mine."
you felt the moan get stuck in your throat as you arched your back. you clung to the soft covers of your shared bed and clenched around his dick.
"fuck, pretty girl. my princess." he groaned as he continued his heavy thrusts. your cunt felt like a dream around his cock as he buried it to this hilt, made sure that every inch was snug inside of you. he continued to move you up and down the bed as he fucked you.
with one last heavy thrust, he finished inside of you. you gasped heavily as you felt his cock throb inside of you. he gave it a few more thrusts of his hips before he stopped and relaxed. his shoulders were curved over top of you and panted heavily.
you looked up at him, still feeling a little blissed out. you said softly, "thank you, daddy."
he looked down at you and took in the sight of you. he smiled briefly at you and said, "that's a good girl. remember to take all of it."
-
your new years was in spain then became spring in spain, then summer in spain. now you were expecting a baby girl in october and you had a nice ring on your finger.
you spent most of your time around the house, mostly tending to things around it. you rubbed your lower back and soon felt the arms of your husband around your middle.
fernando came closer to kiss you on the cheek, he cupped your swollen middle and said, "how is my beautiful princess?" he melted against you, love the feeling of his child in your womb. he sighed contently as he said, "the most perfect woman." <3

five hargreeves x reader
word count: 2.4k
part one. part two. part three.
summary: you head back to the academy with your timeline's five in order to save the world, in hopes that once this is all over, you can run back to max's delicatessan.
author's note: i tried to post this on oct 1st for five's birthday but i'm an hour late lol. but that's it for across the universe! thank you to everyone who left a comment or reblogged i appreciate it so much :) please let me know some more fic ideas in the comments or in my inbox
You heard the bell reverberate as the door shut firmly behind you, yet it was still welcoming as you looked back through the deli windows as all the Fives waved you farewell.Â
The Five that was still technically your husband held a harsh grip around your wrist as he pulled you away from the warm lighting of the deli and back into the cool chill of the time-traveling subway station.Â
Once the two of you reached the top of the stairs onto the platform, you dug your nails and bitterly as possible into the veiny flesh of his hand.Â
He grabbed your other hand to separate your sharp manicure from him. You snatched your hands back and took a step away from him with a sneer.Â
He looked down at you as if you were an animal cowering in defense. He sighed with a heavy chest, weighed with guilt, as he said, âLook, I donât want to upset you anymore than I already have. Can we save the world and then discuss this?âÂ
As you glared at him, a subway train pulled into the station, whirring loudly as its strong gust blew your hair past your face. It screeched horrendously as it halted, the door alighting with your stances.Â
You simply nodded with a furrowed brow as you walked past, hitting him with your shoulder, and boarding the subway car.Â
As you sat down with folded arms and a firm stare at the floor, you ignored him as he sat directly across from you, holding his face in his hands.Â
He took the time to memorize your face, this time in the privacy of the train car rather than watching a more deserving Five hold you close.Â
He wanted to save the world for you. So you could be happy. Yet there was a lingering part of him that wished the world would cease to exist, knowing there was no chance youâd be happy with him ever again.Â
You felt his gaze on you burning your cheeks. It felt like ages since he had looked at you with such care.Â
You had always known how much he loved you. Even though public displays of affection were quite rare he had always made you feel seen and heard. You were life partners. You did everything together, you shared everything with the other. You thought you were so lucky to find such a soulmate, believing the two of you being the only people in the world left alive was such a test of fate that there wasnât a doubt in the universe your names were written in the stars.Â
You were so sure. So confident and secure.Â
Yet, you were also sure he wouldâve never considered breaking your heart the way he did today. He wouldâve never considered Lila of all people.Â
Your head throbbed from the confusion and the flickering lights from above. You were so tired from dealing with the Cleanse, Reginald, Jean and Gene. You wondered if youâd ever catch a break.Â
You thought you already had. Six years of domestic bliss which included sharing an apartment with your lover and frequent date nights. You thought you finally got the rest you both deserved after years of endless struggle for survival.Â
You let out a breath you didnât realize was trapped in your lungs as you sat up straight and met his stare.Â
He didnât say a word so you decided to speak the only one that was on your mind.Â
âWhy?âÂ
His jaw tensed as he tried to find the words. He had been trying to justify himself to you in his head ever since the moment he kissed Lila in that greenhouse, yet now it was hard for him to come up with an explanation.Â
After a moment, he spoke, âI didnât think weâd make it back.âÂ
Your eyes narrowed, âYou were gone for 7 years Five. You mean to tell me you just gave up?âÂ
âI,â he cut himself off, not wanting to admit his first instinct of a response.Â
âYou what?â you pressured.Â
âI wanted to stay.âÂ
He looked down at the grimy floor which contrasted with the shine of his dress shoes. You felt as if barbed wire was slowly being pulled around your throat as you held back tears. He didnât seriously just admit that to your face. He couldnât have. The Five you grew old with would never have done this to you. After visiting the deli, you knew those Fiveâs had given up on their timelines, but their reason was that they lost you. They lost their spark that ignited their call to action. They lost their love, the one person who kept them strong enough to endure hell just to save the world for.Â
You were speechless.Â
Luckily the train slowly came to a screeching stop at your timeline. An unintelligible announcement was made in the overhead speakers as you rushed to stand up and make your way out the train.Â
Your Five didnât immediately follow you. He hung his head and sat for a few seconds before slipping through the closing doors.Â
You quickly made your way through the dimly lit station as Five jogged to catch up with you. He took your arm and blinked you up both to the academy in a flash of pink light.Â
He let go of your arm as you took a pause to calm your dizziness. You had gotten used to his old blink fairly quickly but this new power messed with your head which already suffered an ache.Â
The group quickly acknowledged your presence as the two of you walked into the living room where they were all consulting with each other. Lilaâs family and Claire were huddled closeby.Â
Five immediately greets Lila as she whispers his name in return. You side-eye them with a scoff, hoping to get this done as soon as possible so you never have to see them again.Â
With his hands on his hips, Luther says, âWhyâd you two come back? Things are pretty bleak here.âÂ
âTrust me, we werenât planning on it,â Five explains.Â
You step in, âFortunately, we had a very informative conversation with an alternate version of him which led us to form a plan that could stop all of this.âÂ
You began explaining everything to them. You told them that the marigold inside each of you was what caused the destruction of the timeline and how the timelines were bleeding into each other which provided evidence for those like Jean and Gene to believe in the Umbrella effect. You explained that if Viktor could remove the marigold from you all and combine it with the durango inside the Cleanse, the timeline would go back to its original, unbroken state.Â
Viktor interrupted your explanation, âThat would work, but Iâm not entirely sure I have enough power to do that.âÂ
âI can help,â Lila stepped in, âIâll copy your power.âÂ
âWhat happens if they canât get the marigolds out of us?â Klaus questioned.
âWe will have to merge with the Cleanse with the marigold still inside us,â Five paused before continuing, âwhich will make us cease to exist.âÂ
Klaus didnât exactly like this answer as he responded, âOld Klaus might have been down for some recreational hara-kiri, but it turns out that Iâm really not into killing myself.âÂ
Five explained that if Viktor didnât remove our marigold and you all had to merge with the Cleanse then none of you would have ever existed, erasing you all from history and the memories of your loved ones.Â
They group went silent, tearing up at the thought of that fate.Â
âOkay,â Viktor said firmly, not wanting to think about that outcome, âLetâs do this before the Cleanse finds us.âÂ
Him and Lila met in the center of the room, chests and eyes glowing as they brought forth their powers. The rest of you met around them, preparing yourself for the extraction.Â
A glow of orange and blue lights illuminated the room as they began to swirl around all of you, whirring by your ears as they surrounded your body. You could feel the power rushing through you, feeling similarly to doing a cannonball in a hot tub: an initial burn from the impact but soothing more and more as you relax. Your eyes were squeezed tight as you felt a pressure lift from your chest. Before you know it, the wind has stopped and the lights that shined past your eyelids had left, returning your sight to eigengrau.Â
You opened your eyes to find your marigolds huddled together, swirling in a warm glow which resembled fireflies on a summer night.Â
âWhat do we do now?â Luther let out.Â
Five put his hands in his pockets as he responded, âWe wait.âÂ
Everyone avoided contact with the marigolds as they left the living room. Allison returned to Claire and Lila made her way to her family who engulfed her in a loving hug.Â
You watched them have their moments. You were glad Lila had such a loving family after living under the Handlerâs manipulation for so long, yet you wondered how it would be now that Five had homewrecked her relationship with Diego. How would this situation affect their kids? Would they see their mom any differently?Â
You didnât realize someone was watching you as you contemplated your inner monologue until your shoulders were turned and a pair of arms were wrapped around you. You refocused your eyes as you looked up to see Diego, understanding he must feel the same pain, wondering what would become of the family heâs made over the last six years. You brought your arms up to return his hug as your squeezed your eyes shut as a dam to not allow any tears to pass through.Â
A crumbling noise grew louder and louder as you two broke apart. An orange hue penetrated through the makeshift curtains as Klaus went up to the window to peel them back, allowing you all to see the Cleanse was destructively making its way towards the marigolds.Â
Fiveâs face hardened as he watched the monster grow nearer. He turned to Lila and held her arms, instructing her to take her family and Claire into the subway until the Cleanse took the marigolds to ensure their safety. She looked into his eyes and nodded before breaking away to round everyone up and mimic his power, blinking them away.Â
The rest of you took cover as the Cleanse broke through the windows and entered the academy. You watched as it reached out and collected the bundle of marigolds, letting out a fearsome screech and glowing brighter. The light became so intense it was all you could see until you blacked out.Â
You awoke on the floor of the academy, your face sticking to the shining tiles. As you sat up, you noticed everything was pristine, unlike the abandoned academy you were just occupying. Sunlight shone through the windows as you looked around, noticing all the others adjusting to the light and new surroundings. You all looked around, thankfully seeing no sign of the Cleanse. No destruction. No glow.Â
As you all stood up, Five rounded you together as he blinked everyone into the subway.Â
Allison immediately ran over to Claire, crying happily as she held her daughter. Lila and her children ran over to Diego, tackling him with a loving hug. You saw Five in the corner of your eye, looking on at the scene with a stone face yet with hurt in his eyes.Â
As the family regrouped, you remembered what the offer that waited for you back at the deli. You remembered the Five who was waiting for you to save the world so he could see you once again. You ran between Klaus and Luther as you made your way towards a train that was waiting to take you back to Maxâs Delicatessen. You never looked back as you boarded and sat down. Surely youâd see them again, but you didnât want to watch your Five look like a lost puppy following Lila any longer.Â
You wanted to find a certain Five that reminded you of your husband before he got stuck in the subway. A Five who had his eye on your and only you. Luckily, you had already found one.Â
You didnât even wait for the train to fully come to a stop as you jumped up from your seat and anxiously waited in front of the door for it to open. Once it did you bolted through the station to the stairwell that led to the deli. As you ascended, you didnât see the warm, welcoming glow.Â
You stopped in front of the deli, dropping your shoulders as you lost all hope.Â
The space where the deli once occupied was gone. In its place was a wall of tile. You finally let the tears you had been holding all day stream down your face as you realized your mistake.Â
Saving the world meant saving the original timeline, the timeline where the only Five Hargreeves that exists is the one that broke your heart.
âď¸
bonus ending cause i can:Â
You dropped to your knees as the weight of everything thatâs happened crashed upon you, and the fear of not knowing what to do next ate up rational.Â
A whoosh was heard from behind you, echoing off the tile surrounding you. The last thing you wanted at this moment was the comfort of your Five. You didnât want him anywhere near you, yet you wanted him to see how miserable his stupid delusions and actions made you. As you turned your face to look at him with a teary face, you saw Five standing there, making no move toward you.Â
You wanted to berate him until you looked closer, there was something different about him.Â
You couldnât point it out until he smiled slightly and said, âYou saved the world.âÂ
A look of shock painted your face until your tears flooded back, this time of utter happiness as you ran into his chest, his arms enveloping you, his chin on your head. You didnât question how this could even be possible, what this meant for the timeline, you got just what you wanted.

PLS PLS CAN YOU DO THAT CHAT THING WITH KAISER, NESS, SAE AND NAGI WHERE READER TEXTS THEM SAYING âyour face is so pretty I just wanna sit on itâ AND THEIR REACTIONSđđ
author note: Idk how to use fake sms app so I went for an ol' classic gif reaction.
Michael Kaiser:
-What is he looking at? At his reflex on the mirror obviously. -A laughter starts to blossom from his chest, already pushed out like a proud rooster. -He slicks his hair back, blue eyes shining with joy. Michael licks his teeth, perfect as he is. Damn, anybody would like to sit on his face; he is so fucking handsome. -He picks his phone up ready to message you something along the lines of "C'mere. I'll give you the ride of your life." Michael smirks, proud of coming up with such a hot line(it isn't). -But the message you sent got deleted. -His eyes bulge out almost cartoon style. Did he dream about it? Was the message from someone else? Michael checks the other chats, but nobody messaged him. -He doesn't want to message you about that, he isn't desperate! But a voice in the back of Michael's mind screams at him. -"?" He sends back. "Did you need something?" "No, Michael. Thanks for worrying." You reply immediately. -His heart picks a worryingly fast beat. You replied way too fast. A lightbulb turn on in his head, but the idea he comes up with is pretty risky. Michael feels blood running to his ears when he finally presses send. -"If you are free wanna come over? I need help choosing the new bed covers."
Alexis Ness:
-He is mind-numbing happy. After all, it is a pretty nice compliment to read from his crush. -If Alexis had a tail it would be wagging left and right now. A dumb smile is plastered on his face while he keeps looking at his phone. -"What are you looking at, Ness?" It's Michael's voice calling him back to work, mildly annoyed that the other boy's attention wasn't fully on him. "Oh- It's nothing, Kaiser! Let's go back to training." Alexis hides his cell phone under the last layer of his gym bag. Michael doesn't dig further for once. -When Alexis opens his phone back the sun already left his place for the moon. He obviously forgot about your message 'till he reads the new ones. "Have I crossed any boundary, Alexis? I'm sorry if it happened." "Please I don't want our friendship to be ruined by this." His heart sunk to his ass and climbed back into his throat in a matter of seconds. -Alexis calls you, clearly worried. You pick up fast for Alexis' heart health. "I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner! I had practice and I had to go then-" he keeps blabbering "I'll do anything for your forgiveness." "âŚAnything Alexis?" "Yes." "I wasn't joking when I sent you that messageâŚmy or your place?" "Yours. It will be my pleasure." He says, voice finally calm. -He wasn't joking.
Sae Itoshi:
-"I must have forgotten the part where I asked your opinion." -HE IS RUDE. -Sae knows it is a joke. A stupid one to try to tease him. He may not be the brightest mind, but he understands what you are trying to do. -He goes back to training like nothing happened. Then he showers and all of sudden Sae has the urge to add another line to the previous message he sent. -Meanwhile, you replied with a ton of sad emojis and other dumb blabbering Sae's mind doesn't even register. -"Anyway I prefer to eat it from the back." Sae smiles thinking he has just sent the king of the comebacks, an earth-shattering line. Soon he gets a reply, that makes his smile drop. "I must have forgotten the part where I asked about your opinion." -Maybe you are really made for each other.
Seishiro Nagi:
-What a nice message to receive. Not. -You are hundreds of kilometres of distance what is supposed to happen? Honestly thinking is tiring him out. -Seishiri sends you the thumb-up emoji and throws his phone somewhere on his bed, pc already turned on to play the newest game. -But now a worm dug a hole in his head, making Seishiro thinks about the message and not at his ranking flopping; such a noob behavior. -He thinks about your soft thighs pressing his ears, your warmth enveloping his face⌠-Seishiro facepalms, fingers messaging his temples before brushing away some of his snow white hair strands away from his forehead. -He doesn't even notice he already dialed your number. -"Talk dirty." "What? Muddy pants? Sweaty shirts?" "Don't play dumb. It's all your fault if I can't concentrate now. And don't let me explain, it's bothersome." You chuckle at the other end. He can feel the mirth in your voice. "Sorry angel. You'll have to work if you want the prize." -He groans in annoyance, head thrown back. -It seems like Seishiro will have to break his "5 days doing nothing useful" streak.

Imagine Beetlejuice Helping You Through A Bad Day
Beetlejuice X FemReader
Rating: T
Warnings: Mentions of gross stuffs, dead things, Beej being Beej, suggestive themes
Word Count: 1k
(A/N:) I got a little gross with this one guys! But it's Beetlejuice what do you expect?! Consider this my second Halloween fic of the season! Happy reading and hauntings! ~Countess
Your apartment door felt so far away as you trudged up the stairs. Work had been awful, you woke up exhausted, all your chores were piling up, and you didn't know how you were going to get enough energy to make dinner tonight. You decided to order out, though it would be the third time this week. Biting your lip you fought back the tears as several people elbowed you while passing you on the stairs. You were an emotional wreck and you refused to break down until you entered into your apartment where you could be yourself. As soon as your bag hit the floor and your shoes went flying, you broke. Tears rolling down your cheeks, you let out all the frustrations of the day. You never let yourself break in front of anyone, you always waited until you made it home. But there was one person you felt comfortable enough to show your real emotions to. He had a knack for making you feel better, no matter your mood and he could be by your side in seconds. Sniffing loudly and wiping your nose on your sleeve you said the word that could bring your best friend to you.
"Beetlejuice."
The air grew still.
"Beetlejuice."
The temperature began to drop.
"Beetlejuice."
A evil cackle rang through your ears as your apartment began to shake.
Immediately the atmosphere changed and you could feel yourself getting better.
"What's up babes," that deep rough voice sounded behind you.
You turned looking up at Beetlejuice. He had the usual smirk on his face but it fell instantly the moment he noticed the tear tracks down your cheeks and how you seemed paler than normal. He was pale all the time so it didn't matter what he looked like. Normally he didn't concern himself with the matters of living flesh bags but you were different. You made him feel wanted and he didn't like when you weren't feeling your best.
"Rough day," he asked.
You nodded, trying to fight the tears again but it didn't work. The waterworks broke through and you mushed your face into his cold, stripe suited chest. Stunned Beetlejuice stood there, his undead heart dropping into his stomach. You hung on to him tightly until you were able to control your emotions a little better.
"You have no idea," you hiccupped. He dug around in the liner pocket of his suit jacket. All sorts of bugs and critters leapt from Beej's searching dirty fingers. Bits of unidentified things fell to the floor before skittering away, the ghost constantly muttering to himself as he searched for whatever he wanted in his pocket.
He pulled one piece out that looked like a centipede, "Saving that one for later." He winked and went back to digging. Finally he pulled a soiled handkerchief from the pocket and offered it to you with a slight flourish. You shook your head and went to grab a tissue from your bathroom counter.
"It's bad if you're desperate enough to summon me."
"You're my best friend Beej. Unlike the jerks I work with."
"That's a little sad there babes."
"Beej!"
"Hey I'm sorry," throwing his hands up. "I make your world go round huh?!" That time his head began to spin and you couldn't help but laugh. "You make my head spin around apparently too. C'mon over here and give me a hug."
You snorted but went to him anyway, "You're such an idiot Beej."
"I'm your idiot though."
You sighed before leaning back a little bit, "You smell like death."
Beetlejuice preened, "Only the best for you babe. It's a new cologne Eau De Dead Opossum. Main fragrant notes of bloated opossum, with a hint of maggot swill, and ending notes of sun baked dog vomit."
"Mmmm no wonder you smell like an atrocity to mankind," you snickered and tried to pull away.
"Don't run baby! Let Beej take all those bad vibes away and replace them with nightmares beyond your wildest dreams. Need me to bio-exercise someone? Possess them? Make their life a living nightmare? Makes my heart beat in excitement. Y'know if it still beat in there."
This time you couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks Beetlejuice."
"Ah ah watch it. Don't make me disappear too soon. The fun is just startin'! You get me all hot and bothered babe."
"Beej you're dead how can you get hot?"
"Trust me," he grinned, suggestively waggling his eyebrows.
"Gross."
"Now how about me and you go out and do whatever you living people enjoy doing! Kicking puppies? Robbing graves? Arson?"
You shook your head, "How about I order pizza and you watch a movie with me."
"Only if I get to sit in your lap," Beetlejuice picked at his teeth and wrapped an arm around your shoulders.
"You can lay your head in my lap," you retorted.
"Fine take all the fun out of my life will ya!"
"I could just send you back," you threatened. Though your tone of voice was anything but threatening.
"I'll be good I promise," Beej exclaimed.
"Your fingers are crossed behind your back," you glared.
"Curses caught again!"
He took your hand leading directly to the little living room, his fingers interlacing with yours. He kissed the back of your hand and waited for you to order pizza for delivery. It wasn't lost on you how the living made your life an absolute nightmare but you found a great friendship with the most obnoxious ghost imaginable. But he could be more real than anyone you came face to face with. That's why you felt like you could trust Beetlejuice more than others. And he made you laugh. He always seemed to be there for you and it was more than anything you could ever ask for from a person. As you sat by his side waiting for the pizza and discussing what you both wanted to watch, you completely forgot of all the horrors that had happened today. It was just you and Beetlejuice and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Good Luck
Chapter # 6 Foggy Fears
Platonic Yandere Dc x reincarnated Reader
Wattpad
Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6 (You are here)
I realized at that moment that there are some whose dread of human beings is so morbid they yearn to see monsters of ever more horrible shapes.
- Junji Ito
(Once again, this chapter was changed quite a bit.)
!!TW!! Death, Blood, Car accident, Sudden switch from first person to second person.
*.¡:¡.⧠⌠â§.¡:¡.*
'Dinner was too quiet.' Louis thought as she picked up the plates from the table, slowly bringing them to the sink.
'How could I have missed it?' She thought as she began to scrub the plate in her hand. 'She's my daughter. How could I have not seen it?'
Her grip tightened on the plate, her acrylic nails painfully dug into the plate. 'Am I such a horrible mother that I couldn't even notice my daughter âââ âââââ ââ?'
Snap
Louis looks down at her broken nail, a stinging pain accompanying the sudden loss of her red nail.
"Mom?"
Louis jumps, quickly turning her head and letting out a sigh of relief when she sees Jon. Placing a hand on her chest, she gives Jon a shaky smile, "Oh, Jon, be careful you almost gave your mother a heart attack."
Jon simply nods, as if not hearing his mother, "Um, Conner is... here." He muttered.
Louis's smile drops briefly before returning with a strained one, "Oh? Really? Well invite him in, it's been forever since he's come to visit."
Giving his mother a concerned look, Jon makes his way back out of the kitchen.
Louis sighs as soon as Jon leaves, running a hand through her hair.
"It's all my fault," She whispered, "It's all my fault..."
âââââââ
The movie had ended, though Y/n barely noticed. All she could think about was how... ŃłĐ§Ň Ńłf ŇŃÓĐÓŇŇĐĐ Clark had acted during the car ride. This wasn't the calm, happy-go-lucky superhero Y/n grew up with in the comics, he seemed so different. More stressed and less stable the Clark Kent from the comics. It all led to one thought;
If he's like this, how would he react if he found out about her reincarnation?
'I just want to go home.' Y/n ran a hand through her hair, her thoughts made her feel guilty, was she being ungrateful? Was Y/n even really Y/n? What if she just took over this Y/n's body? Was it her fault Clark's 'daughter' was gone?
What if he found out-
"Y/n? Are you ok? The credits ended a while ago." Clark's hand on Y/n's shoulder felt like fire. "Let's get going, okay?" Clark said softly, dipping his head down to look into Y/n's eyes. "I'm sure Bruce (the prick) is anxious to have you back at the manor."
With a hesitant nod, Y/n stands up slowly. "Yeah... You're right, we should go." Clark smiles warmly, complete 180 from earlier. "Before that, I was hoping we could stop by the store on our way back." Clark rubs the back of his neck bashfully, "I might have promised your mother to get groceries while I was out, and the market is on the way to Bruces Mansion." His eyes seem to light up, "Oh! They might even have that snack you like so much! We can pick it up as well."
Y/n nods, "Yeah, I don't mind,"
Clark's smile widens, "Great! Let's get going then!"
Sighing, Y/n follows Clark to his car,Â
'DC has Walmarts?' Y/n thought as she followed Clark into the supermarket.
The Walmart looked normal for the most part, there didn't seem to be too many people (probably because it was relatively late and this was still Gotham). Clark grabs a cart before heading into the supermarket, Y/n following closely behind, immediately he heads over to the dairy section browsing the milk and cream aisle.
"What's your favorite creamer?"
Looking over to Clark, Y/n raises a bow "Hmm?" she hums confused. Clark smiles, "I figured I could get some while we're here for when you go back to Bruce."Â
An 'ooh' escapes Y/n's mouth before turning to get a better look at the creamers. In Y/n old life, she honestly preferred sweet things and would often put way too much creamer in her coffee, but as of late she's been enjoying less sweet things.Â
"Mmm, I think I'm good for now,"Â Y/n responded, not missing the way Clark frowned.
"Oh."
Clark grabs a few things before leaving, and you awkwardly follow behind him.
The rest of the shopping trip continues like this, Y/n felt like tearing her hair out, it was just so awkward and uncomfortable. Eventually, the pair ended up in the electronic section of the store.
"- game you really like!" Clark's voice bleeds into existence, breaking Y/n's train of thought. Glancing over, Y/n sees Clark holding a bootleg version of Minecraft. "Y/n? Did you hear me?" Clark frowns a bit, his eye's losing that spark again. "Y/n. I know you have a lot on your mind, but you-"
"AAHHHHHHH!!!"
You and Clark jump at the sudden scream, Clark's eyes quickly scan the store for the source of the screaming.
"OH GOD-"
"GET AWAY FROM ME!"
"THEY'RE IN MY HEAD, MAKE THEM STOP!"
More and more screams start popping up, Clark quickly pulls you close to him and you can feel your heart pounding. What was going on??
"MY SKINÂ IS BURNING, I'MÂ BURNING ALIVE!"
"I'M FALLING, I CAN'T STOP FALLING!"
"SPIDERS!"
A mist seems to slowly cover the ground, screams of desperation continue to fill the air, only growing more and more unsettling.
"Shit," Clark mutters, he grips your shoulders and swiftly turns you around to face him.Â
"Y/n. You need you listen to me." His voice was serious, "No matter what you see, it's not real. Do you understand? It's. Not. Real."Â
Y/n's eyes widen, Fear Gas, the mist was fear gas! This was bad! Very very bad! Unlike Clark, Y/n wasn't immune which meant Y/n was about to experience the full effect of the gas.
"Y/n! Y/n just remember! It's not real- it- ot- rea-"
The world seems to blur as a burning sensation enters Y/n's lungs.
__
You sigh tiredly as you walk along the worn-down sidewalk, comic book in hand. It had been a long day, and all you wanted to do was go home and rest. Stopping at the crosswalk, you take a few glances from side to side, you never know when a truck could just barrel through you because you didn't look.Â
You step onto the asphalt road.
Your heart was pounding for some strange reason, it suddenly became really hard to breathe. A loud honk rings in the air. Looking to your left, you see a dark blue truck heading towards you, its headlights illuminating a path where you were dead center.
The vehicle's driving was so erratic, you didn't know which way to run. Ultimately, whichever direction you chose didn't matter. The result would undoubtedly have been the same.
The impact was fast, you didn't feel anything at first.
It didn't last very long, though.
You lay on the asphalt road, gasping for air, trying to gain back all the air knocked out of you. That didn't do so well for your broken ribs, of course. The taste of blood indicates that some of your teeth might be missing, based on your guess.
You can't see much of your surroundings either. Aside from that dark blue truck's headlights blinding you, your vision was growing dark.
For a brief moment, you could see the man step out of his truck and go over to you. Then, everything in the world went dark.
__
"-waking up! She's waking up!" a boyish voice rings in Y/n's ear. A pounding headache seems to accompany her as she slowly sits up in her bed.
A few seconds after Clark enters her room. He looked around until he spotted the suitcase next to her closet, he went over and started to put her belongings in it.
"We are leaving." Clark states firmly, "And tomorrow you and I will be having a talk about what you saw." He seemed upset, extremely upset.
Clark... where are we going?" Y/n asked, though she already knew his answer.
"It's dad, not Clark, Y/n." That was all Clark said as he dragged you downstairs towards the manor's doors.Â
Bruce was standing by the door with a perplexed look on his face. He seemed stressed and a bit frustrated. Looking over, Bruce glared at Clark, quickly walking in front of him as if to intercept him, but Clark just pushed him aside.
"Clark put her down, we need to talk about this! Her condition could get worse!" Clark ignored him and walked out the door to his car, Bruce hot on his tail.
"I don't need a man who puts his children through hell and back to lecture me or tell me how to parent my kid Bruce." Clark and put you in the car with the suitcase. Then he got in himself and started the car.
"How about you start focusing on how not to kill your own kids before you start worrying about mine"
âââââââ
Jon gasps. This... this couldn't be right. It was... no it was impossible! But... it was, it was here and it was possible. This changes everything...

KĂśnig w/ his S/O during a Panic Attack
Warnings: Mentions of panic attacks, in-depth detail of panic attack, angst, comfort, FLUFF, KĂśnig being the most considerate man on the planet, no pronouns used for Reader except for 'You', words of affirmation, pet names
KĂśnig was...confused upon your initial request for him to lay atop you like a weighted blanket.
Why would you want a 250 lbs man to effectively crush you? Especially at a time like this??
KĂśnig has social anxiety, so panic and anxiety attacks are not unknown to him.
Far from it.
They were the only entity to keep him company whenever he left the house, whenever he thought about how he'd spoken to people that day (if at all), whenever he just existed.
That was before he met you, though.
You'd staved away and starved that monster, keeping it on a short leash and choking it whenever it tried to run away with KĂśnig.
And he knew that the least you deserved was for him to do the same for you.
He just thought that maybe there was a safer way to go about it?
He was conscious of his mammoth proportions, and how little you were compared to him. He just didn't want to hurt you any more than you already were.
"I just- I--" your words were muddled, you shook your hands as if trying to dry them, trying to shake off the leech-like pinches of anxiety prickling your skin.
Your breathing was short, shallow, your own unique vision of the end of your world, social, physical and mental, playing through your head, shooting a reactor's worth of adrenaline straight into your chest.
You felt as if you were going to pass out and so took a hesitant seat on the edge of your shared bed, knee bouncing the second it was able to.
Tears pricked your throat and eyes, warning you.
You sniffed, trying to keep them at bay, tying to keep the dam within from overflowing.
"I just need this right now." You looked up at him, eyes pleading. "Please."
KĂśnig needed no more persuasion after that.
Though, he did have some questions.
"Won't I hurt you?" he asked, voice gentle, coaxing you out from the hole you'd dug yourself into. He stroked your hair, handling you like the delicacy you were.
You gave a weak, watery smile, a laugh wanting to break its way through.
"No, no you won't," you promised. You cupped KĂśnig's cheek with a shaking hand. "I trust you."
KĂśnig's heart jumped, melted.
He positioned himself above you as you lay flat on your back, caging you. Or protecting you from all that could hurt you.
Slowly, carefully, very carefully, he lowered himself onto you, making sure to avoid any sensitive areas.
His chest was pressed against yours, his legs either side of yours, and his bulking arms lay at either side of your head.
He nestled his face into the crook of your neck, nuzzling you.
You could both feel your heart pounding against his chest, and having something there to almost absorb the anxiety pulsing from it made you feel calmer.
You tried grounding yourself, focusing only on KĂśnig's warmth encompassing you, his steady breathing against your slim, shaking breaths.
It felt as if he were projecting his calmness onto you, into you. Healing you from the inside out.
"My sweet (Y/N)," KĂśnig whispered, "Whatever has you in its dastardly grip will have to answer to me before it can reach you."
You knew he was serious; there was nothing KĂśnig wouldn't or couldn't do for you.
Your happiness was his top and only priority, as his had been yours.
"I'll always be here for you. Even if you feel alone and scared, I'll be there, one way or another."
His voice was soft, silken. He swaddled you in it, cradling you in a rhythm that soothed you.
You burrowed further into KĂśnig, wanting to be as close to him as physically possible (as if you weren't already).
The longer you remained attached, the less frequent the the tightness in your chest contracted, the slower your breathing became.
You began to feel drowsy, the post-panic attack high - the relief of the ordeal becoming only a memory - tailing off into a lulling low.
KĂśnig could sense you were growing tired, you nuzzling your nose into his neck, a habit you'd formed when you were ready for bed.
"Thank you, KĂśnig," you said between sleep.
KĂśnig couldn't see your face, but he knew you were smiling, he could feel it brushing against his skin.
He smiled, too, and brushed his fingers across your scalp.
"Anything for you, maus." His voice was low. He wasn't long for the world of the conscious, either.
"You will never come to harm as long as I breathe," he whispered. He could tell by your breathing that you were just entering the realms of sleep.
He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.
"I promise you that."

He's My Man (Part 4)
Summary: The reader and Russell's flirting finally boils over as they come to a decision about what path they want to go down together. But their happy bubble is about to burst...
Masterlist
Pairing: Russell Shaw x reader
Word Count: 3,900ish
Warnings: language, gun shot injury mention, angst, fluff, smut, stalker
A/N: Ahhh! đ
__________
Russell Shaw growling against the column of your throat was enough to make anyone spread their legs in your defense. You didnât mean for things to get so heated so fast. You were only supposed to do this if you were the real deal, right?
Well, that thought went out the window when Russell dropped to his knees and unceremoniously yanked your pants and underwear clean off. Large hands splayed on your thighs, Russell smirking up through his lashes at you.Â
âY-You just going to kneel there all pretty or what?â you asked, voice more than a few octaves higher than normal.Â
âOh, I can do a lot on my knees,â he teased. He slid his hands under your thighs, slipping around the tops of them. His fingertips dug into the flesh harshly and then he was pulling you forward so fast you nearly fell off the top of the counter. You heart nearly lept from your chest when he buried his head between your legs, an ungodly yelping sound escaping your lips.
You could fucking feel him wearing that damn smirk as he devoured you.Â
âRuss,â you breathed out, hands shooting to his hair, his tongue toying with your clit in wonderfully torturous circles. He encouraged you, gripping your legs harder, bring you closer, practically suffocating him.Â
A deep coil of pressure was building in your core, Russell leaving your clit for only the briefest moment to taste between your folds.
âFucking f-fuck, Shaw. D-donât tease,â you shuddered when his tongue returned to your clit, more pressure behind it. You could feel yourself building faster, skin flush. You tugged on his strands, Russell groaning against you. The sound made your toes curl and you did it again, Russell tightening his hold on you. Your skin would be littered with his touch for days and god, that made you want it all the more.
He zeroed in your clit with a ferocity that had you on the edge of orgasm, the sharp peak of pleasure right there. You felt that smirk again and with a singular flick of his tongue, you were coming. Hard. And he didnât fucking stop. Your orgasm went on and on and on, your legs squeezing him, determined to rip every ounce of pleasure this man could deliver out.
But Russell still didnât stop torturing you. He just kept going, tongue swiping circles over your sensitive clit until your felt a fast build and were exploding again, your jaw dropping in a silent scream. You were shaking when he licked a final line through your folds, skin covered in a thin layer of sweat. Russell easily pulled your legs away from him so he could sit back on his heels, staring up at you as he licked his lips.
He smirked when he rose, watching your chest rise and fall quickly. He leaned in close and held up your soaked lilac underwear, dangling it off one finger.Â
âHowâs my queen of darkness doing?â Your heart was still hammering in your chest, Russell smiling as usual when he brushed his lips to your ear. âYou think youâre speechless now? Just wait until I get a chance properly worship you.â
âJesus fuck, Russell.â You stared up at him with big, satisfied, scared as hell eyes. But Russell was more than pleased with that reaction it seemed since he landed a sweetly possessive kiss against your lips. He grasped your chin with his thumb, turning you into it before letting you have a fleeting taste of control. He pulled back and winked, gently setting the underwear in your lap.
âIâm going to buy you that matching bra. Lilac is so your color,â he grinned, licking his lips as he looked down to where you were exposed to the room, slowly dragging his eyes back up. He whistles as he went over to the fridge and took out a bag of tomatoes. âIâm going to get started on the soup.â
âT-The soup?â you asked, shakily planting your feet on the ground, one hand on the counter, the other gripping the underwear.
âI was going to make you grilled cheese, remember? Tomato soup is a given. Always better from scratch.â You blinked slowly, Russell chuckling and ruffling your hair. âWhy donât you go take care of yourself and Iâll be here when youâre all done. Alright?â
âYou donât want me toâŚâ you glanced down at the tent in his sweats, Russell frowning.
âThis ainât a quid pro quo household. We have all the time in the world for that and right now, all I want to do is continue making this the best damn lunch of your life.â He slipped past and turned on a small radio on the counter, taking his phone out and tapping a few times before Taylor Swift started playing through the speakers. You spun around, Russell staring back. âYes?â
âNothing. Iâll be back.â You scurried out of the kitchen, shaking your head as Russell turned the volume up. With one last glance over your shoulder, you watched him bopping along, back to you as he started to dice up the tomatoes.
Who the fuck was this guy?
Ten minutes later, you were exiting the shower after rinsing the sweat off your skin. You stood wrapped in a bath sheet in Russellâs master suite, finding a door to a walk in closet after a moment. Youâd grabbed a new pair of underwear before washing up, this one a deep green that matched Russellâs eyes. But you needed some new clothes and, well, you were pretty sure he wouldnât mind.Â
It was easy enough to find some joggers on a shelf cubby but Russell had an obnoxious amount of shirts for a guy. Dress shirts. Flannels. Henleys. Sweaters. Yeah, Russell was a fucking cable knit sweater guy and you were really struggling with why the hell he was single at this point.Â
But in his band shirts, specifically the tour ones because this manâs organizational skills rivaled Martha Stewart, you found one that made you grin.
You threw it on, sans bra, and exited back to the kitchen. Russell was working over a pot on the stove, stirring something delicious smelling with a wooden spoon. Unfortunately, he wasnât shirtless or wearing that zip up anymore.Â
But the tight white t shirt made his shoulders and biceps look massive. Yeah, you were okay with this look.
âIs there anything you canât do?â you teased, walking around the island and joining him at his side. You hummed your approval at the creamy looking soup that was simmering.Â
âAh, ah,â he said, pushing on your forehead with a single finger, his concentration on the soup as he stirred it. âDonât bribe me with compliments. I thought I told you to relax.â
âYes, sir,â you said, patting his ass as you went past. Russell stifled a groan as you sat at one of the stools at the island, criss crossing your legs. âYou like that, Russ? When I do what you say? Sir?â
âSirâs going to spank your ass later for that.â You laughed lightly, Russell debating something it seemed before he added more salt and then nodded. He gave it one last stir and then put the spoon down, turning to you with a smile. âYou into that kind of thing, Qark?â
âQark?â you asked. He shrugged as he left the kitchen for the bar cart nearby, picking up a decanter and pouring two glasses.
âSee, I love your nickname but queen of darkness doesnât roll off the tongue all the time. Therefore, Qark for short.â You raised your eyebrows when he handed you the drink. âIf you donât like it-â
âYouâre sweet.â You smiled, taking hold of his free hand with yours. âI like it. The nickname and whiskey.â
âFigured you would.â He set his glass on the counter, cocking his head. âMy Eras tour shirt. Interesting choice.â
âDid you actually go to the tour?â He grinned, taking his glass and going to the other side of the island. âReally? On a date or something?â
âOne of my friends had floor tickets, invited a few of us guys after his wife and friends got sick. Not ashamed to admit Iâm a swiftie now.âÂ
âYouâre really something else, arenât you.â Russell cocked his head. You grasped your drink with both hands. âI just meanâŚyouâre ex-special ops. You do black ops now. You grew up in the middle of nowhere with a dad that taught you how to survive. Youâre not supposed to be soâŚnot toxic.â
âIâll admit Iâve spent some time in the dark corners of life.â He took a long drink and swallowed, his eyes full of softness and wonder when he met yours. âYou know why I call you the queen of darkness?â
âMy cheery personality?â you joked. Russell smiled, leaning his forearms against the counter over at you.Â
âQueenâs run shit. Yeah, your life was fucked but you were soâŚbright.â You laughed, sipping from your glass. âIâm serious. You with your fucked up life loved your coffee. Did you know you savor every sip and smile after each one? You love your danishes like itâs the best thing on earth. You worked for a mob and wore yellow imported pajamas that are the softest thing Iâve ever touched. Your house was so warm and cozy. Soft lights. Candles. You had a romcom on and were having a pizza and beer for dinner like a date night for yourself. Youâre the queen of darkness because it could have ruined you. It could have destroyed you. But you owned it, you ran that shit into the ground and you fucking glowed through it all.â
A response caught in your throat, Russell reaching out, resting his hand over yours.Â
âI canât imagine how bright youâre going to shine now that youâre free of all of that my little Qark.âÂ
âWhy me?â you whispered, letting him lace your fingers together.Â
âA king needs a queen,â he whispered, squeezing your hand. âMy dark corners are a bit brighter since I met you.â
âWe barely know each other,â you whispered.
âTo be fair, most couples donât know each other when they starts out so weâre ahead of the game if you think about it.â You lowered your head with a tiny smile. âWe know the important bits.â
âI suppose we do.â You squeezed his hand in return, Russell nodding with a smile. âLook at you. Got a freeloading unemployed girlfriend living in your house. You really got it going on.â
âHell yeah I do.â He lifted your hand, kissing the back of it. âWeâll go slow. Let you get some faith in me first.â
âThank you, Russell,â you said.Â
âDonât have to thank me for that,â he said before standing tall and clapping his hands together. âAlright. Letâs make some of those sandwiches.â
You had to admit Russell hadnât been bragging about making your lunch the best of your life. He cooked a damn good grilled cheese and his homemade soup was worthy of a restaurant. After he packed away the leftovers, you settled outside on the porch near the fire, Russell tucking you in under his arm.
âHave you ever killed anyone?â he asked. You turned your head up, shaking your head.Â
âIâve lost a few patients before but I know itâs not the same. Have youâŚâ you asked. Russell hummed, gaze on the continued downpour surrounding you. âDo you want to talk about it?â
âIâm not proud of taking lives but I never took one I didnât absolutely need to if that makes sense.âÂ
âYou were a soldier. You doing bad things kept a lot of people safe. You protected them.â He was quiet, his thumb absently rubbing your arm. âBad guys donât do what you did for me. You and Colter went out of your way for me. Youâre not the monsters you hunt.â
âI know. Sometimes I just worry Iâm a black hole for crap. I donât want you feeling like youâre trading one bad life for another.âÂ
âBlack holes donât go to Taylor Swift concerts or wear sweaters or do extremely dangerous things for strangers because itâs the right thing to do.â He rested his head on your shoulder with a satisfied hum. âYouâre good, got it?â
âYeah. I need to sort out work on Monday. Put in my notice. We both need fresh starts.â
You wrapped an arm around his waist, Russell snuggling closer. âAnd you cuddle? Come on, thereâs got to be something wrong with you.â
âThe whole killer thing?â he chuckled.Â
âNo, weâre not doing that shit.â You gripped his chin the same way he had to you earlier, forcing him to look at you. âUnderstand?â
âOkay,â he said quietly. âI mean there is something Iâm not good at if you really want to know.â
âYeah?â He nodded.
âItâs kind of embarrassing,â he sighed. You ran a hand through his hair, tilting your head.
âIâm sure only you think that. Come on. Couples share secrets and stuff, right?â
âWellâŚalright,â he sighed, looking up at you with a long drawn out inhale. âIâm really not good at not being perfect at everything. Itâs a struggle really to interact with you common folk.â
You lightly punched his bicep as he fell to the side with a fit of giggles. âRussell Shaw!â
âOh, come on. You lobbed that one up in the air and it was just waiting for me,â he laughed. You flopped yourself on top of him. Meanwhile, Russell only started to giggle again. âOh no. Iâm trapped. Whatever shall I do?â
âYou know, Colter donât talk a whole lot but you get a few beers in the guy and he loosens up,â you said, rolling your head, side to side. You stretched out your arms in front of you, Russell grinning up at you as you straddled his hips. âApparently, you were incredibly ticklish as a child. Letâs see if that still holds up.â
âWait! Truce!â he said, holding up his hands, your own just inches from his underarms. You narrowed your eyes, waiting for an explanation.Â
Approximately two and a half seconds later, you were flat on your back on the couch, staring up at him, Russell smirking as he pinned your wrists down by your head.
âYou dirty dog,â you said, Russell brushing his lips against yours. âThat is the last time I ever fall for that. You know Iâm going to torture you with tickles now. Youâve sealed your fate.â
âIâd rather be tortured in a moreâŚpleasurable way by you. Iâll be a very good boy for you,â he murmured, kissing under your jaw. âI take my punishments very well.â
âRussell,â you groaned. âDo not turn me on again. I wear to god Iâm not taking another shower today.â
âWeâll take a raincheck on my punishment,â he said, nipping lightly at your neck. Then he was sitting up and releasing you, holding up his hands. You propped yourself up on your elbows, licking your lips. âYes, my queen?â
âWhy donât we cool things down for a beat so we can actually take this slow like we mean to.â He sat back further, allowing your space to sit up. âHow about I run to the store for a few hours, buy some clothes that actually fit me and you can get some rest too. I know youâve barely slept in days.â
âI wonât say no to a nap.â He scratched his bandage, pulling it away when you tsked him.Â
âDonât rip your stitches. Itâs still too early for them to be out. Iâll pick you up some supplies since I doubt you remembered to bring those with you.â
âThanks,â he said, thunder crackling overhead. âTake my raincoat from the front closet. And be careful driving. Just wait in the store if itâs coming down too hard. And hit the outdoor store for a jacket and-â
âIâll be fine, Russ. Sâjust a little rain.â You got up with a stretch and cupped his cheek, tired green eyes softly looking up. âSleep. Iâll stop by the grocery store on the way back, make us some pasta for dinner later, nice and warm on a chilly night.â
âYes, mam,â he hummed, turning into your touch before letting you go. âAll the big box stores and grocery store are next town over, you drove through it to get here.â
âGot it. Iâll be back soon, Russell.â
âDonât be too long.â
Three Hours Later
You were happily humming to yourself in the aisle of a semi-busy grocery store. Apparently bad weather didnât stop the locals from being out and about. Youâd hit a clothing store, an outdoor one and had at least a weekâs worth of clothing to get you through until you could figure out how to get stuff from back in Virgina to here. Youâd ditched Russellâs sweats and jacket for a pair of dark wash jeans and a black rain coat that you werenât drowning in as you walked the aisles of the large grocery store in search of the pasta section. Your next black rainboots squeaked against the linoleum but as youâd noticed, most everyone you saw out was in a pair.Â
After a few minutes you found it and started to debate what kind of pasta to make. Was Russell a wine sauce kind of guy? Probably. Mushrooms might be a bit too much for a first meal. People had strong opinions on mushrooms. Maybe something more palatable like some chicken and a few vegetables in a white wine sauce.Â
âStill talk out loud to yourself I see.â Your heart jumped into your throat when you heard that voice. You turned to the man by your side with a basket in hand, his dark gaze locked on you. âY/N.â
âOwen,â you breathed out. He looked like shit. His baseball cap and hood did nothing to hide the black eye and split lip. The broken nose and dark bruises under his eyes. The side of his face was littered with deep red, blotchy marks that hadnât been properly tended to and would leave nasty scars behind. Owen was a creep yet he had been attractive. But the handsome playboy was gone. This Owen was marked and you could feel his new levels of rage radiating off of him under that thin layer of ease.
âYou seem surprised to see me.â He reached out and, shockingly, gently tucked your damp hair behind your ear. But his touch gave you no comfort like Russellâs. If there werenât so many people around, you would have already been running for it. âDonât worry. Youâre safe now.â
âSafe?â you whispered, spotting the gash that hadnât been stitched near his hairline. He nodded, pressing in close.
âI know Elpine wormed his way into our crew and everything got fucked. I know he had you kidnapped before it all went down so he could keep you after it was all over. Heâs dead, baby. They all are. His crew. Ours. Thereâs no one else left. We can start over out west, maybe even here if you like it. Itâll be different but maybe we needed a change. I was so busy with work and trying to live up to my dadâs memory, Iâve been ignoring you. I wasnât there for you and Iâm sorry. Itâll be different this time.â
You took a step back but Owenâs hand was on your arm, mistaking the fear in your eyes.Â
âI know, Baby. Change is hard but weâll get through it. Is the man that took you here? Or did you escape?âÂ
Fuck. You needed to get out of here and back to Russell now.Â
âIâŚkilled him,â you said quietly, piecing it together as Owen stared right through you. âHe was keeping me nearby. In a house. I thought I was all alone and knew I couldnât go to the police cause of who we are andâŚso heâs there. He said it was some vacation house so it was abandoned. I was going to lie low there until I figured out my next move. Itâs safe.â
âOkay,â he said, nodding a few times. âOkay, good plan. Weâll grab some food and crash there a few days until I can get my hands on my money.â
âHowâd you find me?â you braved, Owen tossing the cheapest box of elbows he could find in his basket.Â
âOh. I put a tracker in your phone and car years ago just in case someone grabbed you. Hey,â he said, making you flinch. âI know you like to go to your little cafe bakery shit on Saturday mornings so weâll find a place where you can, alright?â
âY-Youâve been following me?â you asked, Owen tossing in some off brand spaghetti sauce.Â
âHey,â he said with a smile that you assumed was meant to be reassuring but made your stomach turn. âYou didnât want any guys with you so I had to keep tabs on you another way, right? It was a good thing too.â
âRight,â you said, turning around, praying Russell would somehow magically appear at the end of the aisle.
âWhere the fuck is the kraft mac and cheeseâŚâ he muttered.Â
âUh, down the aisle,â you said, forcing yourself to turn around with a smile like he was your savior. âIâm so happy youâre here. Iâm going to pop in the baking supplies and get some stuff to make your favorite cookies for my hero.â
âHell, yeah! Just donât take too long,â he said. You hummed as you quickly walked past and down a few aisles. You ripped out your phone, dialing fast.
âWell hello, queen of-â
âOwen. Is. Here,â you grit out, looking behind you for any sign of him. âHeâs fucked up but heâs alive and he thinks I killed you. Iâm taking him back to your place where he thinks we can hide out.â
âHe didnât hurt you did he?â he asked. You closed your eyes, heart relaxing for a beat. That was the difference between the two men right there. One actually cared and the other only about what he thought belonged to him. Owen didnât even ask if you were okay.
âIâm fine, just shook up at seeing him. I figured if I can get him there, you can get the jump on him?â
âDamn straight I will, my smart girl. Just get him in the house and then make an excuse to go back out to the car. Donât come in and run if things get sketchy between now and then. Donât let him see you on the phone.â
âI know. Iâm sor-â
âDonât apologize. Itâll be okay, Qark.â WIth that he hung up and you quickly put your phone away. You barely looked at the box mixes and threw one in the cart before you met up with Owen in the center aisle. He frowned.
âBoxed? Youâre not going to make them from scratch?â You resisted the urge to slap him into the next century and spun around, picking out ingredients. Owen wrapped an arm around your waist, keeping you tucked into his side. âThatâs more like it.â
God, youâd never wanted Russell Shaw more in your life than that moment. You just prayed when you met up with him again, he got the drop on Owen before he got hurt. Or worse.

Your fate had been decided when you were 5 years old. It hung over your head like a halo, but it was nowhere close to holy. It was placed by your father, who was among the many servants of Voldemort, which made your role very important. You were not here for yourself, you were brought into this world for one purpose only. When he sat you down and told you this, it was hard to comprehend, your 5 year old brain not quite wrapping around the concept, but it became more and more real as you grew older. It went as followed: You would grow up, and at 20 years old you would marry the dark lordâs son, Mattheo Riddle. It would add power and influence to your family name. Your older brother, Alexander, would carry the family business along with the new generation, that âbusinessâ would be working as the right hand man to the dark lord, his own private assassin. It was all set in stone, an unwavering commitment.
ââââ
The first time you met your future husband was on the first day of your first year. He was gentler then, a mischievous but likable boy, before he turned bitter. He recognized you, having also being told his decided fate since day one, and came up to you. While you expected a handshake, maybe a hug, he instead pushed you to the hard ground before running away. The concrete dug into your soft skin, tearing your skin mercilessly. Your knees, palms, and elbows took the most damage, but his apparent dislike of you almost hurt more. You avoided him as much as possible, knowing you and him had an inevitable lifetime to spend with each other when you graduated. That, however, was hard, since you were both in the same house and had many classes together.
As the time passed, your disdain for him only grew. As he got older, his physical bullying turned to mental and emotional, plus he had earned himself the reputation as a manwhore, his ego growing too large for your liking. He was cocky, arrogant, irrational, and just a fucking dick. His attractiveness only made everything worse. You were conflicted; he clearly wasnât attracted to you, from what you could tell, and you realized he would be a terrible husband. But god, was he handsome.
One night, you were hanging out with your friend group, which just so happened to contain Mattheo, at this moment. No one could tell where he was or would be at any given time. You all had gathered in a circle, playing truth or dare. Theodore Nott, being the annoying prick he was, picked Mattheo. He chose truth.
Theoâs exact words, âAre you happy to marry (Y/n)?â You all held your breath, his question echoed around the room as all the side conversations went silent. Everyone wondered the same question, but no one was brave enough to ask. Anticipation hung in the air, and you had a bad feeling he was going to say no.
âNot at all. Iâd rather be with anyone else, but I have to be stuck with her, of all fucking people.â He said, looking at Theo as he spoke your worst fear. He made eye contact with you before continuing, âYouâre the reason Iâm miserable, youâve ruined my life.â You held eye contact with him, an evil smile on his face, trying to maintain a stoic expression on your own. Your heart tensed, feeling heavy in your chest. You broke eye contact with him and stood up, waking away as calmly as you could. No one tried to stop you, or call out your name to come back. They all watched you as your feet carried you back to your room faithfully. Your vision swirled as tears brimmed in your eyes, but you wouldnât let them fall until you were out of sight. A shaky breath of relief exited your lungs as you shut the door behind you, locking it and holding yourself as you let your body slide down to the floor against the door. The tears finally fell, a seemingly endless stream of them flowing down your cheeks, past your chin, settling on your lips. After what felt like hours, you stood up and walked towards your desk. You opened the top drawer and sorted around the various distractions you kept for moments just like these. To stay numb, you kept a small selection of drugs, small blades, a lighter and pack of cigarettes, and a few small bottles of various alcohol. You decided on a bag of fine white powder and a cigarette.
Later that night there was a knock at your door, as there usually was. You didnât feel like opening it, satisfied to stay sitting on the windowsill blowing smoke into the night sky. But, unfortunately for you, you forgot to lock the door. As the door swung open, you didnât even turn to look at him, already knowing who he was.
You blew out the smoke from your lungs. âWhat do you want?â You could hear his footsteps getting closer to you, but you still couldnât find the energy to turn your head and look at him. His cold hand gently placed itself on your shoulder, turning you around to face him. You stared into his eyes, which looked like deep pools of honey if the sun shines just right. Now, in the darkness, they almost looked black, a probable reflection of his soul.
He held your gaze, an almost sorry look in his eyes. âYou know what I say isnât true, right?â He asks in a whisper. You nod, taking another drag of the cigarette between your fingers, looking back outside the window. His sighed, not content with your response. He took the cigarette from your hand and put it out on the ashtray next to you on the window. âLet me make it up to you.â He proposed, waiting for you to say yes.
A small smile graced your lips, âYou better.â He laughed softly before picking you up and walking you towards your bed. He gently laid you down, your back on the soft mattress, taking off your clothes and throwing them down on the floor. His kisses started on your neck, your soft whines fueling his desire to please you. He moved down your body inch by inch, slowly placing his lips over your body, your collarbones, chest, breasts, torso, hips, and thighs receiving equal attention from him. He laid between your legs, slowly dragging a finger through your folds.
âMy pretty girl, so wet for me.â He said, gathering some of your wetness on his fingertip before bringing it to your clit, keeping it still. Your body jolted at the stimulation, moaning for him to just move, do something. He quietly laughed at your desperation, finally moving his finger in small circles around your little bundle of nerves. âI love this perfect pussy so much.â You jumped at his actions, a whiny groan slipping past your lips. Taking his finger away from your clit, he brought it down to your entrance, slowly pushing it in as your inner walls gladly sucked him in. You grumbled at the loss of attention on your puffy clit before he replaced his finger with his mouth. He started with soft licks with the tip of his tongue, letting you relax into him, before he harshly sucked on your pearl, wrapping his lips around it. You nearly screamed from how good it felt, your legs moving around, switching between squeezing his head and opening wider, the stimulation almost too much. He laughed against you, sending delicious vibrations to your core before taking his finger out of you and pushing your legs apart. You moaned his name along with curses over and over again, almost sounding like you were worshipping him. How could you not when he made you feel so good? He switched between harsh sucks, gentle licks, and grazing his teeth against your sensitive clit, every now and then teasing your hole by pushing his tongue into it. It took almost no time before you were cumming against his mouth, breathing heavily as he drank up every last drop of your release. As you came down from your high, he pulled his body up until he was hovering right above you. His lips met yours with so much passion, so much love, you could almost believe he felt even a fraction of what you felt for him. After a moment, he pulled away.
âYouâre so fucking good at that.â You told him breathlessly, savoring his chuckle. Oh how you wished he would love you. A silence settled between you, whether it was comfortable to awkward, you couldnât tell. You just stared at each other, and you would have given anything to know what he was thinking about.
That was 2 weeks before your life would change, for better or for worse, you would find out. It was also the last time you would let him hurt you with his words. This change would start with an unexpected letter from your father:

At first, it didnât feel real. This had to have been some kind of joke, right? Alexander was so excited to take on his role, or so it seemed. As reality settled in, you started to distance yourself from everyone. You blew off your friends, preferring to stay in your dorm and wallow in self pity. It wasnât fair. Your brother had his fate, you had yours. It was set in stone. You had almost looked forward to it at times. But not anymore. You had to suppress your emotions, adapt to this new world. You would train to become an assassin for the Dark Lord, you would destroy what you loved, everything you touched would break. For this, you had to sacrifice your feelings, tears, and longing for a life you could no longer have. You counted down the days until graduation, the time in between was hell. You left all your friends, replacing them with drugs. The time seemed to tick by slower and slower, like staring at a clockâs hands tick tick tick as they seemed to hesitate to go where you wanted.
A soft knock sounded from you door, and you had a sneaking suspicion of who it was. You didnât know why he even bothered knocking. You never opened the door for him, nor anyone as of late. As the door slowly opened and his frame emerged from it, looking around for you. His eyes landed on your desk, slowly walking towards you to investigate. You slowly blinked at him as he watched you, clearly intoxicated. The evidence sat right behind you, the little white pills contrasting with the dark wood of your desk.
âOh, angel,â he whispered, placing his hand on the back of your head and stroking your hair as you stared up at him. âWhy?â
He was surprised when you laughed. It was mocking, cold. You didnât feel anything for him anymore. You couldnât. âWhy are you here?â You asked him, clumsily pulling his hand from your head. Everything felt fuzzy, and you couldnât stop chasing the feeling.
âJust wanted to check on you. You havenât been coming to meals and your friends said you dropped them.â He answered, a seemingly genuine look of concern in his eyes.
âHavenât you heard?â You asked him, referring to your cancelled marriage and your new role to fill.
âHeard what?â He was confused, his brows furrowed together as he anticipated your answer. You laughed again, thinking he must be joking.
âYour daddy didnât tell you? My brother ran away so I have to take his place. And our arranged marriage is cancelled.â You state. You laugh again, everything seems so funny. Now he looks even more confused. Shock, horror, and despair run through his features as he takes it all in. Then he laughs, a nervous-sounding forced laugh.
âYou finally get what you want. Lucky you.â You add, bitterly. Now, heâs silent. As you stare at his face, a sudden rage floods your veins. You stand up, facing him, and push him, your hands pressing against his muscular chest. Again, again, and again, you push him until heâs standing before your door, letting you move him. As you move to push him one final time out of your dorm, he stops moving at your will.
âWait,â he starts. âI-.â
You interrupt him. âGET OUT!â You scream at him, balling your hands into fists and beating his chest as hard as you can, but he doesnât seem to feel it. A cold bucket of water seems to fall on your head, everything youâve bottled for the past weeks suddenly bursting from its cage. Tears flow freely down your face, you finally stop hitting and screaming at him, placing your palms flat on his chest and resting your head between your hands, crying into him. He gently strokes your back, holding you against him. He rests his cheek on the top of your head, comforting you.
âIâm sorry, my love,â he says. âLet it all out.â Heâs so gentle, holding you, speaking comforting words, trying to make you feel better. This might be the only time youâve ever felt truly safe and loved, and that scares you. Just as you feel the warmth in your chest, you push him away one final time, so the cold can settle in again. You slam the door and lock it, sliding down it onto the floor as he bangs against it a few times.
âPlease, baby, let me in.â He says, you can tell heâs right outside. Youâre tempted to open it, let him in, let him hold you and make you feel loved for the last time. But as your hand hesitantly reaches up, you stop it. It will hurt more if you let him again. The tears still fall, an added weight on your shoulders. You slowly crawl from the door to your bed, exhaustedly tucking yourself in, curling into a ball as he continues to try to convince you to open the door from the outside.
ââââ
How did I get here? You wonder as you stood before the dark lord himself, his son standing a little farther behind him. Your fatherâs instructions had been rather clear: tell him what he wants to hear, donât talk back, be respectful. You fidget with your fingers behind your back, subtly wiping your sweaty palms against your pants. Your heart was beating fast inside your chest, your head pounding.
âIt was such a shame that your brother ran away. Now you must take his place, revise any plans you thought you had for a life you never imagined.â He said, walking in tight circles around you. You stared at the floor in front of you.
âHe made his decision, however selfish it was. The show must go on.â You curtly replied, a tone in your voice that you didnât intend. You brought your hands back to your sides, pressing your palms to the sides of your thighs, brushing the fabric of your pants. You could feel his presence behind you, radiating a cold sort of energy that contrasted with the hot room.
âYes, you are correct. I must inform you that your first assignment will be to hunt him down and kill him. Will that be a problem?â He asked, now standing a foot away from you to your left. You had suspected something like this.
âNot at all. My duty will always come before emotion.â You answered, hoping that would satisfy him. You still looked down, following a crack on the concrete floor with your eyes. You could feel your palms sweating again.
âGood answer, my dear.â He said, now standing directly in front of you. You brought your eyes up to meet his. âThereâs one last thing I will do, then youâre official.â He finished. Mattheo stayed completely still, not a single word from him as he stood watching you. So much hung between you, there were so many emotions, words, and tension you wanted to share, say, and break.
âAnything.â You calmly replied, ready to face whatever he had for you. From his robes he pulled a dagger with a jagged blade, spurring your curiosity. As he reached for your right hand, he pulled it towards himself, facing your palm upwards. He inspected the dark mark inked on your wrist before bringing his attention back to whatever he was doing. You held your breath, waiting for him to place the knife in your hand. Several seconds passed as the both of you just stood there, his cold hand grasping your wrist as you nearly shook from anticipation. He briskly pulled his hand up, and as you stared at your reflection, you felt a wave of some emotion you couldnât name flood your bones. As you began to prepare to be pierced by his blade, he instead rested it in your hand. Just as you breathe your sigh of relief, he rotates the blade slightly and slices right through your palm, a deep and forceful cut. The blade must have been very sharp; It seemed to glide through your skin with little effort. The pain hits you all at once, a stinging sensation emitted from the wound. You gasp, sucking in a sharp breath, and bite your lip hard enough to pierce the delicate skin, now bleeding.
Blood poured from the wound like a fountain as you took it all in. All the pain, all the feeling, all the blood, flowing down your wrist and soaking the ground below you. You couldnât close your eyes. That was the moment you knew this would suit you. The sight of your blood flowing from you satisfied an itch deep inside. You craved it, again and again, ready to devote your life to the craft assigned to you by cruel karma, god, the universe, or whatever you want to call it. Although, it was right. This is what you were born for. This is what you will die for. In fateâs eyes, you watch yourself. âThis is me.â Is all your reflection seems to say.
This is me.

@croptopjames happy birthday to the one and only jfp <3
jegulus | 933 words | trans reg & themes of gender identity and transition
Regulus felt his cheeks heat up as he snapped out of his daze and met James' eyes. He was wearing a knowing look, "Oh, I'm definitely keeping this," James declared, his smirk widening. "Especially if it gets this kind of reaction from you every time."
Regulusâ room was a disaster. James had finally coaxed him into sorting through his old clothes, only managing after he bribed him with promises of kisses and takeout afterwards. The closet had all but exploded, leaving piles of clothes scattered all across the room. With âyesâs,â and ânoâs,â and âmaybesâ occupying every available flat surface, Regulus was sure he hadn't seen the darkened wood of his floor in hours.Â
Sat on his bed, he watched as James dug through his dresser for another shirt. He let out a thoughtful hum as he grabbed two, throwing one over his shoulder and holding up the other: an awful plum-colored blouse. His mother had bought it for himâform-fitting, smothered in ruffles, and, in her words, âthe perfect blouse for a sophisticated young woman.âÂ
Regulus thought it was the ugliest fucking shirt he had ever seen.
âUgh,â Regulus wrinkled his nose in distaste. âAbsolutely not, that thing is a monstrosity.âÂ
James barked out a laugh, amused at the disgust evident on Regulus' face, before flinging the shirt into the rapidly growing ânoâ pile. He grabbed at the one resting on his shoulder.
âAnd this one?âÂ
It was worn, fabric soft from years of wear. The dark green and gray had dulled, now just muted shadows of their original hues. The words printed on the front, cracked and creased, read âHogwarts Women's Rowingâ. It had been his favorite shirt for a long time. His parents had always been on him to join somethingâ a club, a team, an honor society. If he was honest, he only chose rowing because it kept him out of the house the longest.
And he's so grateful he did, because it brought him Pandora. He suffered through early morning rows and long race days, soreness in his body and blisters on his hands. But every discomfort was worth it for the times he and Pandora would steal an extra hour to lie in the sun by the Great Lake, laughing until their bellies felt as sore as their arms. Worth it for the times Evan would cram them into his shitty jeep and drive them to their races so they didn't have to take the bus. Worth it, most of all, for giving him the first people with whom he could be honestâreally, truly honest.
"I don't want to get rid of it," Regulus admitted, a hint of reluctance in his voice. "It was my favorite, butâIâm not ready to wear anything that might make people mistake me for a woman. Not for a while, at least.â
James nodded. He turned the shirt around, head tilting slightly as he considered it. âHow about I hold onto it for you? That way it's not gone, just... repurposed.â He looked up at Regulus with a wicked grin. âI bet I could pull it off.â
Regulus couldnât help but scoff as James began to pull on the shirt. âIâd like to see you try," he challenged, amusement evident in his voice.Â
But as James stretched out his arms and did a little spin, Regulus wasn't laughing. Instead, he felt his heart swoop. A familiar mixture of fondness and arousal swirled in his gut at the sight of James. Glasses knocked a little lopsided from pulling the shirt on, pajama pants hanging low on his hips and socked feetâ it was a picture that made Regulus go warm with affection. But, it was the shirt that really kept his attention. Visibly too small, the letters strained as they stretched across the width of his chest. The hem of it hitting right below his navel, exposing his hip bones and the trail of hair leading down from his belly button. Regulus felt all the breath leave his chest. âC'mere,â he said softly.
James shuffled over to him. âGood?â He asked, a hint of uncertainty in his tone.
Regulus shook his head, he was in awe of James. âBetter than good. It suits you much better than it ever did me,â he mumbled, voice low and distracted. Reaching out to place his hands on James' waist, he absentmindedly dragged his thumbs back and forth over his hipbones, eyes stuck to the sliver of skin peeking out from beneath the shirt.Â
âMy eyes are up here, love,â James gently teased, his voice laced with amusement.Â
Regulus felt his cheeks heat up as he snapped out of his daze and met James' eyes. He was wearing a knowing look, "Oh, I'm definitely keeping this," James declared, his smirk widening. "Especially if it gets this kind of reaction from you every time."
âI lied,â Regulus deadpanned, âyou actually look ridiculous.â But his face was betraying him, unable to fight the smile spreading across it.Â
James hummed in response, the smugness in his tone unmistakable. He was clearly enjoying every moment of this.
"Oh, shut up," Regulus groaned playfully, his hands gripping the exposed skin at his waist to pull him down. James yelped in surprise before their lips were meeting in a kiss filled more with laughter than anything else. But then James was deepening it, and Regulus let himself be kissed breathless. After a moment, he gently pulled back, hand tenderly stroking through Jamesâ hair.
"Thank you," he whispered, his hand tracing a path down James' neck, over his shoulder, and along the length of his arm until their fingers intertwined. "For being here, forâeverything. Everything that you do for me."
James responded with a gentle squeeze of their hands, his eyes meeting Regulusâ. "Always, love." His voice was soft but firm in promise. And there it was again, his heart swooping in his chest as James pressed a kiss to his temple. "Always."
#i initially had other plans for my submission#but i went in a diff direction thanks to the transphobe in my dm's. enjoy the fluff of jamie and his trans bf!#also literally dont ask me why i picked rowing i have no idea LMFAO#jegulus#regulus black#james potter#croptopjames#jegulus fic#jegulus microfic#marauders#starchaser

And Comes Dawn pt 9
Pairing: sauron/halbrand x reader, isildur x reader, sauron/halbrand x reader
Word count: 2k.
Summary: dudes just gotta stop deceiving people.
Tags: angst, insecurities, isil being a Good Dude, Galadriel and the reader still hate each other
Notes: I'm very tired (two sick kiddos will do that to a mom) and not too happy with this one. But it's a filler part. As always love yall and the feedback
You stood in silence as Halbrand left. His revelation of his past with his father and uncle had broken your resolve in your anger towards him. Confusion still sat in your chest and itched the back of your mind, but you had forgiven him. He seemed so passionate in his intention to earn you, but you had no idea what he meant by that. His deeds had already shown his character. He had saved you so many times it would be useless to count. You could only wonder what had plagued him so that he felt he still felt as if he was too tainted for you.
You thought this over, getting lost in your thoughts and thoughts of what had transpired the night before. You had never felt anything like that. Sure, you'd had desires that crossed your mind late at night. Youâd had a rather large crush on one of the local farm hands, and he had entered your dreams many times. However, nothing compared to the heat that burned through you at Halbrands touch, the gruff sound of his voice, the feel of his hot breath. You had to close your eyes, and your teeth dug into your bottom lip as you willed the thoughts that filled your mind to go away.
Soon, though, you found yourself wishing for the sound of the waves and smell of the ocean air, so you made the venture outside the inn. You watched the hustle and bustle of the locals, the sound of children's laughter. You never wanted to leave this place. It was so different from your home.
The sound of your name being called made you stand straight and tall. Soon, Isildur was running up to you, breathing heavily. âI donât have much time, I have to be at the beach inâŚwell, very soon,â He looked at you with a smile, placing his hands on your shoulders. âI came here to apologize for making a scene and for putting your honor to question. That was never my intention, and if you wanted to, I would completely understand if you wanted to slap me in the face a time or two. I have more than earned that.â
You couldnât help but smile, shaking your head, âI donât think that will be needed.â
He laughed, âI am relieved, I was not looking forward to explaining that black eye to my father.â
His smile faltered for a moment as he searched for words, âIf your heart belongs to another, I hope you know that I would find contentment in your friendship as well. Perhaps it would not be my first choice, but being your friend would be an honor beyond measure.â
You nodded, reaching out and squeezing his hand, âI would be content with that too. I hope that I did not lead you to believe there was more.â
Isildur shook his head, âYou did not. You are simply beautiful and kind and funny, and I am but a man. I still would like to show you more of my city's culture. There is a massive library and halls of art and food better than what we were treated to last night. That is, if you are indeed interested in that.â
âOf course,â you grinned, excitement bubbling in your belly.
âYes? Yes! Well, then I shall see you later this evening? Right before sun down. Iâll meet you here?â
You nodded, your lips parted to answer when you heard one of his friends call his name, and he simply smiled at you before running off. You remembered what Halbrand said. He wanted you to have friends, and so you would. Isildur was kind. He was respectful, and you had no reason not to trust him.
~
âWhere is Halbrand?â
You looked from your lunch of rice and fish, your spirits dropping at the sound of the elf's voice. You had avoided her as best as you could, and it had been successful for the most part. You knew she hated you, and while you did your best to understand her hatred, there was part of you that blamed elves as well. If it werenât for them, your mother would still be alive, and youâd have the baby sibling you had been so excited for. But you knew it was unfair to blame Galadriel for that. You just wish she would understand the same for you.
âWhere is Halbrand?â She repeated, sounding annoyed. You noticed that in her hand, she held what appeared to be a scroll.
âI do not know. I have not seen him since this morning.â
âDid he give you any idea to where he was going?â
You shook your head, turning back to your food. You did not want this conversation to last longer than it needed to.
âYou seem rather content to sit and do nothing, to feast on the food of a people who have earned prosperity. I seek to fix the wound your ancestors and your family caused. Do you not seek redemption?â
You stared at the rice on your plate, your expression hardening as you tried to keep your tongue. A fight would solve nothing. You knew she was hurting as were you but the smugness in which she carried herself, the arrogance that radiated from her, it was fueling an anger in you.
âI have committed no crime to be redeemed for.â You spoke softly, not bothering to look up at her.
âDo you not feel guilty for the 37 elven souls your father, brother, and uncle took. Are they not worth redemption? Are they not worth trying to right your fathers wrongs?â
âAnd what of the families in the Southlands that your kind oppresses for a sin none of us committed. Crops die, money is scarce and yet we have to give a portion to the great elves who want not for food or medicine.â
âIt is a reminderâŚâ
âA reminder that to elves, we will always be less than. You act as if the Numenorians were bestowed greatness by your kind as if man can not achieve that on his own. You act as if children are responsible for the sins of their fathers as if the elves have committed none.â
âYou speak of which you know little,â Your raised voices were beginning to draw a crowd. âDo you feel no guilt or remorse for what was done?â
âI feel remorse every day. Do you forget I was a child? Do you feel no remorse for your people making me watch as your people executed my only family.â
âIt was what had to be done.â She replied, coldly staring you down.
âYou are but a petulant child. Your callousness and arrogance will leave you without friend or affection, and I can not imagine what a lonely existence that will be for someone who does not die.â You stood up and pushed past her, walking fast to escape the eyes following you.
`
It was after Isildur took you to the grand library and to get dinner that you had learned of Halbrands fate from the whispers of locals as you walked past. You had enjoyed your time, feeling a true bond of friendship between the two of you. You were falling more and more in love with this island and hoped upon hope that you would be able to stay here. There was nothing for you at home. Orcs had burned down the only home you knew, but this seemed so far away from that. As if evil could not touch it.
Halbrand wasnât evil, but he may be ruining your chances of being here with his antics. You had come to the realization that wherever you went, he was likely to follow. It was a strange sentiment to have in such a short time, but you knew youâd follow him too. No matter where his temper might land him. It was for this reason you had found some food and skin of wine and were down to the dungeons.
It seemed you werenât the only visitor he had. You heard the elves' voice before you saw her and waited in the shadows, listening to the conversation unseen. Perhaps you shouldnât but your curiosity got the better of you. A dispute about a woman? You could tell from the way he was speaking that it was about her.
Of course it was.
You wanted greatly to believe all that he had told you that morning, that he had shared something personal with you and that was a sign of how he trusted you but here he was so freely telling her of his past. The heir to the throne of the Southlands, how his ancestor was who swore a blood oath to Morgoth. All of those had been lacking from the story he had told you. You didnât think him a liar, but you didnât know what to think as it seemed he so easily opened himself up to the elf.
You heard as the elf mentioned fate bringing them together, of him going to Middle Earth with her, and he did not argue against any of it. If his intentions were truly with you, why then did he not make that known to her? You were able to see his expression as she ascended the stairs. He watched after her as if she was some grand prize with a twinkle to his eyes and a smirk playing at his lips. She was a prize, you supposed, she was an elf. Truly unattainable, with beauty that men merely dreamed of finding. She was mysterious and strong.
And what were you?
You had nothing to your name. Your only talent was in what your mother and the family kept you as a ward taught you - healing and gardening. You didnât suppose you were all that beautiful. No one had attempted to court you. You were not mysterious or battle hardened or the daughter of a noble bloodline.
You were just you.
Of course, she would be the prize.
Quietly, you slipped from the shadows and made your way to where Halbrand stood. You saw his smile, and perhaps if you hadnât been so caught in your insecurities youâd see how he looked at you as if you were the dawn itself. But his smile faded slightly when he saw your face.
âSweet one?â His hands reached through the bars for your hand, which you simply pulled away from him. His brows furrowed in confusion.
âI brought this for you,â You slipped him the cloth full of bread, fish, fruits, and cheese along with the skin full of wine.
His eyes never left yours, sitting it all behind him on the bench as your eyes looked at the ground. âWill you not look at me? Are you upset about this? It was simply aâŚâ
âDispute about a woman,â you repeated his words back to him. You saw his expression shift. He knew you heard his conversation.
âSweet oneâŚâ He started.
âI could find contentment in a friendship with you. That would be an honor,â Your words echoed what you were told mere hours before.
âFriendship?â He laughed softly in disbelief, looking at you as if you grew two heads, âI told you of my intentions, and I meant it.â
âI do not know if you did. I do not know if you know what it is you want. I do not want to fight in a competition with the elf when I know I would lose it.â
âWhat are you talking about?â He breathed the words out.
âI see how it is you look at her. I hear how you two talk. I am not stupid enough to think that you do not want for her as she does for you. In talks of what your future holds, you never mentioned me.â
He scoffed, âYou are reading too much into it.â
âI do not think that I am.â
âDo not reduce this to mere friendship. Please, sweet one.â He looked at you as if his heart was breaking, his eyes frantically searching your face for an answer.
âI need to go,â you backed away from the cell.
His fingers reached for you, but you pulled away, âPlease, sweet one, please do not go when I can not follow.â
You spoke no more words, turning on your heels and wiping at the hot tears that were spilling from your eyes. You ignored the desperate calls of your name as you ascended the stairs. The only thing you could see was the way his face lit up when he saw Galadriel.

Husk/Reader
WARNING: Dead Dove: Do Not Eat
Includes Cheating/Infidelity, Heartbreak, Mental Breakdown, Betrayal, Despair, Alcoholism/Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms, Hurt No Comfort, Angst and Tragedy, Not Huskerdust Friendly, Pretentious Title
(I kinda lost motivation to finish the ending, apologies. Oh also I cried.)
You stood there in silence.
The cool mahogany of the door and its frame held you in place. The doorjamb dug into your side, the only thing grounding you. It was a minor discomfort that kept you fixed to the floor of the hotel rather than sinking through it the way your heart had sunk down from your chest.Â
Husk and Angel seemed none the wiser to your accidental voyeurism, so caught up in the moment were they. You mightâve expected as much, given how unapologetically loud the spider demon was being. His vocalizations were what led you to this room.Â
To listen at the door.
Huskâs expression was one of concentration, eyes closed as he took the pornstar from behind, almost punishingly.Â
The doorstop.Â
Digging into you.
It couldnât have been more than 30 seconds that you stood there. Less than that. Maybe less than 20 seconds with your whole world crashing down around you.Â
The door closed without a sound before you walked away.Â
-*-Â
You took the elevator down to the lobby of the Hazbin Hotel in a trance. Everything was eerily quiet as the normally raucous area proved to be vacant when you arrived.Â
It was so quiet. The lobby, yes, but also inside of you. There was no rush of thought or pounding heart to remind you that you still existed. You walked through space and time without feeling.Â
A gentle susurration of whispers stopped you, and your eyes slid to Alastor materializing from his living shadow to greet you.Â
His ever-present smile did not waver, but his claret eyes were knowing. The cluck of his tongue was the closest signal to pity that he seemed capable of, though the sincerity behind it was suspect.Â
âIâm so sorry, my dear.â He said. The words were sticky with overly-exaggerated compassion. âItâs unfortunate that you had to find out this way.âÂ
The Overlordâs words caused not so much as a twinge of surprise. It slotted into place in your mind the way pieces of a puzzle did. If anyone knew Huskâs deepest, darkest secrets, it would be Alastor.Â
ââŚDo you know⌠for how long?â You asked, emotionless.Â
âI wouldnât waste my time keeping a record of how my pets carry on outside of their duties.â Alastorâs tone curdled with disgust. âBut, I think the time for playing pretend is over my dear. You know very well that this isnât the first time heâs betrayed you.â
You looked past Alastor, taken by an instant of dismay â Husk had been cutting back on the booze for you. He hadnât done it as a grand gesture or even verbalized it, but the gradual change wasnât unnoticeable.Â
It made you proud. Happy. To have that effect on someone, especially someone you cared for so dearly. Someone you loved.Â
A month ago youâd felt a flash of concern as he emptied a second party-sized bottle of hard liquor. It had been a long time since heâd needed more than one to get through the day since you and he had started dating. At the time, you hadnât said anything. There were numerous possibilities as to why he might need another pick-me-up. And youâd convinced yourself that pushing him on the subject would only inspire an argument.Â
You hated to argue. So you kept your worries to yourself as that instance turned into multiple.Â
âYes.â You said softly. âI do.âÂ
Alastorâs head cocked to the side as he studied you.Â
He sighed.Â
âNaturally I detest meddling with affairs of the heart.â He informed you. âBut, if youâre willing to make a deal with me, I may be able to help you. Memory charms arenât as difficult as you may think and Iââ
âThank you, Alastor.â You cut him off. â⌠For your honesty.âÂ
Numbly, you turned your back on him and continued your journey out of the hotel.Â
-*-
Tangled up in warm fur, face pressed into the white stripe of his chest. You breathed in the scent of vodka and faded cherrywood that had become such a staple in your afterlife. You couldnât imagine going a day without it now.Â
It was absurd to say in Hell, but you swore to yourself that youâd never felt safer than you did here. In Huskâs arms.Â
You peered up at him, meeting his luminous yellow gaze before you pulled away briefly.Â
âI love you.âÂ
-*-
Angel took a deep drag of his cigarette, eyes scanning the room for the hundredth time. It was an exact copy of the room that he and Husk had used last time on the 3rd floor, and the time before that on the 10th floor.Â
âWould it kill Charlie to use a different theme for these rooms once in a while?â Angel Dust thought aloud. âAll that remodelinâ just to get Deja vĂş no mattah where ya go...âÂ
He inhaled another before glancing at Husk. The cat demon was facing away from Angel while he sat on the edge of the bed, a bottle of nondescript alcohol clutched like a lifeline at his side. His head was hung so low it nearly disappeared behind his slumped shoulders, ears peeled back in shame.
âAw, come on babe.â The spider quipped. âYa beinâ too hard on yaâself again. I told ya, what she doesnât know wonât hurt âer.âÂ
Not even a grunt to acknowledge what Angel said. Husk didnât move, just sat with his wings tucked against his back tightly.Â
The pornstar frowned, finally crushing the cig on the nightstand. âYou ainât the first guy that had somethinâ on the side while he was already spoken for, ya know. Lotta people donât got it in âem to be faithful, dead or alive.âÂ
Angel Dust sat up straight, knees pulled up from beneath the covers. The urge to stroke Huskâs feathers as his wings quivered just the slightest bit went untouched.Â
ââSpecially in Hell. All the stuff that goes on down here; this is like nothinâ. Bet even Y/N would agree witâ me.â
Husk flinched at the mention of you, and internally Angel Dust swore. He was babbling and breaking the rules (Donât talk about the Missus) like some kinda hourly amateur, but he couldnât stop.
âYouâre not a bad guyââ
âYeah.â Husk replied brusquely.Â
The mattress sprung back into place as Husk stood up and began to gather up his things from the floor. Â
-*-
You were a shivering mess when you arrived at the Hazbin Hotel, but you still responded amiably as Charlie offered you an enthusiastic hand in greeting.Â
The bar, and subsequently the bartender, was one of the highlights of the tour that new residents received. You had been perfectly polite â warm, even, when you greeted him. And if Husk had given a shit, he mightâve been suspicious of your sugary front.Â
Instead he muttered a âhelloâ and went to bed that night with the image of your eyes looking up at him through damp locks, and the curve of your lips when you gifted him with a small smile.
-*-
He headed for the bar as soon as he was done showering, and settled in with an inaudible sigh.Â
Niffty was pitter-pattering around with a dustpan, eye to the ground as she searched for insects to torture. A few newer residents milled around as well, putting the time at or around early noon. The bartender noticed that all of them were glued to the screens of their phones.Â
Husker grabbed his own, stuffed in his pocket. Heâd forgotten to turn it off Airplane mode (one of the weirder pointless things that Hell had to offer, since commercial air travel didnât exist here).Â
The mix of joy and dread that filled him at seeing a notification from you left him mildly nauseous. Previous messages from you lit up his screen:Â
âSorry I forgot to say good morning!â
                                                             âYou just did.â
âI meant in person sourpuss.â
                                                        âđ I resent that.âÂ
âAwww, poor baby youâre proving my point.â
âHere i'll make it betterâ
ââ¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ Good Morning â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â
The cat demon smiled as he reread them.Â
âFeel better now?âÂ
âYeah, yeah, like a million bucks. Thanks kid.â
ââşď¸ yayâÂ
Husk scrolled, smile waning at himself from just a few hours ago.Â
âHow long you gonna be gone for?â
âBleh, probably all morning. Charlie gave me a list. A LIST!â
                                                      âIâm sorry baby.â
âNo sorries. I volunteered. Just gotta get it over with. Iâll let you know when Iâm almost home!âÂ
âLove you!âÂ
                                                                           ââ¤ď¸â
His own cowardice staring back at him, Husk scrubbed a hand down his face. You hadnât messaged him since that morning and the notification was merely you âheart-ingâ his reply. Like it was worth a damn.Â
What he wouldnât give to go back to bed and never wake up.Â
-*-Â
âYou can do a lot better than me.â Husk told you one night, nonchalantly.Â
You perked up from where you sat, blinking rapidly to dispel the sleep from your eyes. âHuh?â
The bartenderâs maw quirked up into a smirk as he watched you from the corner of your eye. The ice in your drink had already melted, barely touched since youâd hopped up onto a stool and ordered it.Â
The pretense was adorable. You were a sweet kid with a crush, thinking Husk didnât notice how you stared and sighed in his direction everyday.Â
ââSaid you can do better âan me. Unless you got a Daddy youâre lookinâ to piss off by bringinâ an older guy home with you.âÂ
Your eyes crinkled with your grin. âNoooo. No daddy.âÂ
âBut if youâre offering, I might be in the market for one.âÂ
Husk turned to you fully, brows raised as you giggled.Â
-*-Â
The afternoon passed slowly, ramping up only slightly as it got later. Heâd made himself more than a few drinks, and it did nothing to dull the prickling at his spine. Residents trickled in and out, Charlie and Vaggie had returned from whatever outing theyâd planned that morning, Angel Dust had just left for work (not a word, not even a shared look, like it never happened), and Alastor was â well who fucking cared where that asshole was. Husk sure didnât.Â
But you hadnât texted or called. You were nowhere to be found.Â
Husk had tried messaging you a couple times, holding off on a call because⌠becauseâŚÂ
Paranoia had its claws deep inside the old cat, eating him up to the point of hissing with his hackles raised as Charlie appeared on the other side of the bar.Â
âOh my god, Iâm so sorry Husk!â The Princess exclaimed. âI didnât mean to startle you!âÂ
Husk patted his fur back down, shaking his head. ââS fine! Itâs fine. What can I do for you Princess?âÂ
Charlieâs expression changed from remorseful back to peppy so fast it gave Husk whiplash.Â
âOh right! Yeah, I was gonna ask if you knew where Y/N was!â The blonde said, âShe was helping me out big time this morning, but I havenât heard from her so I was just coming by to checkâŚâÂ
Charlie paused, her words trailing away at the look on Huskâs face. His fur was raising again along his arms as he leaned heavily against the tabletop.Â
âYou havenât heard from her?â He asked, a lump rising in his throat.Â
âUm, no⌠not-not since this morningâŚâ Charlieâs brow furrowed. âUh⌠and Iâm getting the feeling that you havenât eitherâŚ?â
Husk swallowed, staring at the polished wood beneath his claws. âNo.â
Vaggie had appeared by Charlieâs side in time to listen to the tail-end of their exchange. She looked from her girlfriend to Husk with a frown.Â
âWe can call her again.â Vaggie stated. âIf one of you wants to try that, I can round up our other patrons and ask if anybodyâs seen her.âÂ
âGood idea!â Charlie said, plucking her phone from her coat pocket. âIâm sure everything is fine! Maybe the FMV requires people to turn off their phones!â
-*-
âI donât think itâs possible to âlose the ability to loveâ.â You sighed with your head on his shoulders.Â
You could almost see the other side of the Pride Ring with this view. Husk hadnât been lying when he carried you up to the very top of the hotel on sure wings.Â
His arm had wrapped around your waist and pulled you in closer. You laid your head on his shoulder contentedly.Â
âYouâd be surprised how much you can lose when you live long enough, babydoll.â Husk said.Â
There was something about the silence after that that made you hold your breath. The air between you two felt oddly electric, buzzing with something on the tip of the tongue.Â
âI used to be an Overlord, ya know.âÂ
-*-Â
Huskâs eyes bore into his phone. The flurry of activity around him had become a dull roar as he stayed frozen.Â
All the messages heâd sent you simply showed as âdeliveredâ. You hadnât read any of them.Â
Heâd called you.Â
And called you.
And called you.Â
Adrenaline would coarse through him before each attempt, heart hammering at the chance to hear you finally pick up. Every single one had gone straight to voicemail.Â
-*-Â
âWhatâsâa matter?â Huskâs smooth voice, and the way he lifted your face up to his own, soothed your soul.Â
âItâs stupid.â You shook your head. âAngel Dust snapped at me today and I just⌠still feel bad about it. I wish I knew why he didnât like me.âÂ
-*-
âNow whatâs all the hullabaloo about?â Alastor manifested without warning, surveying the lobby as a small but determined search party began to file out of the hotel.
Night had fallen, and Husk was still trapped by his phone. The screen remained dark.Â
-*-
Your whimper was swallowed up by Husk as he darted forward to kiss you. He lifted your leg to hook it around his waist, feathers tickling your knee as they fluttered excitedly. The move allowed him to go deeper, to crush you against him until you moved in-sync as one being.Â
Heat pulsed inside, prompting an involuntary squeeze from you that elicited cries and long, drawn-out moans. You were left spent, head lolling in bliss.
Husk refused to let you go, face buried in your neck as he shuddered. You didnât question it.Â
-*-
Husk made the drink for Alastor robotically. Half-formed thoughts of how he should be the one leading the search party for you, not Charlie, wouldnât develop properly.Â
The cat demonâs hatred for the ghoul that owned his soul felt like a drop in a bucket compared to the fear that had been growing steadily throughout the day.Â
Husk gripped the latticework at his knees, tips of his claws clinking against the good liquor bottles tucked inside.
âYou seen Y/N today?â He asked hesitantly.Â
âAh,â Alastor chimed. âYes, I did in fact. We crossed paths earlier today in the lobby.âÂ
âThis morning?â Husk said.
Alastor tipped his glass back and let the drink spill over his tongue. He took his time appreciating the taste before setting it back down and returning Huskâs gaze, his hands folded beneath his chin.Â
Ruby red eyes glittered. âNot quite. Iâd say it was nearly noon when I found her coming down the elevator. She was a tad green around the gills, but I thought it impolite to mention.â

giving him the papers // matt murdock x age gap!reader
summary: out of everything you'd planned for your future with matt, divorce wasn't one of them.
warnings: none? i don't think? matthew is the warning? idk?
series masterlist || main masterlist || add yourself to my taglist!
when matt walked into the loft and you weren't there, he'd just about lost his mind. he thought you were gone forever, and he wouldn't blame you for that. he couldn't. he'd dug his own grave. he hadn't bothered unpacking his bags, he just sat on the couch, waiting. hoping and praying harder than he'd ever hoped and prayed that you'd walk through those doors and come home.
home, he'd thought.
what a home you'd created for him.
a home filled with love and comfort and warmth. and then he'd ruined it in a matter of moments, like the desecration of the holiest of churches. now he'd be forced to kneel to prayer on the roughest of hardwood floors. the god he'd begged to grant him the grace of your love would turn his back to the mortal man now begging and pleading for your grace and love and forgiveness once more, yet his eyes turned only to watch you. he watched as you sat there, deflated, on your knees and entirely unsure of wether you should be praying to the god that would ever let this happen to you. unsure of what you'd even be praying for if you were to pray at all.
for a husband who would always be half there? a husband who'd so easily forgotten the woman he'd married and loved the moment he took one step out of your grasp? for a marriage that would always have foundational cracks. you knew you couldn't build a home on cracked foundation, but dear god did you want to.
matthew was everything you'd ever wanted.
was. is.
you werenât sure anymore. you had no idea what your relationship stood for now. youâd always had trust issues always had each other. always had honesty. and now you had nothing. you were scrambling to pick up any crumb of hope that mightâve sprinkled itself between the cracks in the broken tile on your best friends bathroom floor. and youâd come up empty handed.
a big part of you was angry. so angry at him. you couldnât understand why heâd do this to you? why heâd let everything fall apart and destroy the beautiful life you two had created with each other? but no one ever asks the snake why it bit them. they tend to the wound.
so thatâs what you decided to do. you decided to tend to the wound. it will always be the nature of the snake to bite. thereâs no reason in asking redundant questions like âwhy?â
you picked yourself up off the floor. you took your shower. you did your hair. you put on your outfit. and you went to work.
and that's what you kept doing. day after day. week after week.
and while you carried on, matt waited. waited for divorce papers in the mail. waited for you to come home. waited for you to show up in his office, screaming and shouting at him and trashing his entire office. he waited for anything from you. but nothing came.
until the fourth week.
your heart was pounding and thumping in your chest and you started to feel woozy. you weren't really sure what to do in this moment. this wasn't how you wanted it all to happen, but this is how it was happening. and before anything, you knew you had to tell him before he found out otherwise. because despite what he'd done, it was only right that you told him yourself. he deserved that much.
your hands were shaking as they hovered above the door to the loft. matt could hear you, of course. you figured he could. but he just waited patiently behind the door. he'd never been so nervous in his entire life. he could hear the envelope shifting in your hand, and he had a feeling that he knew what they were. he was waiting for the moment they'd come, but he was happy that you'd brought them to him yourself. happy that he had the opportunity to salvage your love from the mess he'd made.
when you finally gathered the courage to knock, matt waited a moment. hoping that maybe you wouldn't notice that he'd been waiting behind the door this entire time.
"i appreciate the patience and letting me keep my dignity, but i can see your shadow under the door, matt."
matt swore he'd never heard something as beautiful as your voice in that very moment.
you sounded congested. and your voice was hoarse. like you had a cold.
or like you'd spent the morning crying.
"hi" he let out, as he opened the door.
"hi matthew" you nodded, walking past him and into the apartment.
your heart was beating so hard in your chest that he was sure it was about to fall out.
when you'd walked in, you just stood at the end of the hallway for a moment. the memories of the place you once called home bringing a sinking feeling into your chest. and in that sunken pit began a burning fire of rage and disgust.
"so um...h-how are you?" he stutters out
matt wasn't sure he'd ever been this nervous for anything before in his life
"good" you nodded, taking a seat on the couch
matt sat down across from you on the arm chair and you'd both sat in silence for a moment. neither of you knowing how to approach the conversation.
"i'm sor-"
"please don't." you quickly interrupted, shaking your head.
you didn't want him to beg on his knees in front of you. you didn't want him to bow at your feet like he was attending sunday worship and you were the statue of his goddess that he was required to bow in submission to.
"i just...i can't just give in and roll over and give up on us without a fight. i can't do that. i messed up, i know. i really messed up. i took what we had and rubbed it into the ground like a finished cigarette under my foot. you deserved so much more than that. and i'll do whatever i have to do to fix this. to fix us." he pleaded, coming over to you and sitting on his knees in front of you, desperately clutching his hands in yours.
he could hear the envelope that you were still clutching in your hands crumpling beneath his grip. it encouraged him to tighten his hold in hopes that it would destroy the papers you were holding in your hands.
you weren't really sure what to say, and you weren't even sure you could remember how to speak in this moment. you barely knew how to approach this when the man you married wasn't on his knees groveling in front of you, let alone when he is. so you let the papers do the talking.
you pulled one of your hands from his and handed him the envelope, not saying anything.
"baby please-"
"just...please?" your voice quivered and matt could feel you shaking. but he had a sliver of hope that because you hadn't entirely let go of his hands, that maybe this was reparable.
he refused to let go of your other hand while he grabbed the envelope. the envelope wasn't sealed, so he'd just reached in and grabbed the papers. there was only two pages, which made him furrow his eyebrows. divorce papers were never this thin.
"what-"
"can you just...read it please"
he took his hand from yours and reached out to the paper, only to not feel any raised braille, and he chuckled for a moment.
"i know it's been a while but i'm still blind."
shit. you'd forgotten to translate the papers into braille. which means you were forced to tell him. to speak it out loud. to make it real. it was already real, but like...really real. very very real.
"it's okay....you don't have to tell me." matt attempted to console you after hearing how your heartbeat ticked up.
you shook your head, taking a deep breath in and looking down at the papers in his hand.
"no i...i need to. you...it um. i am..."you tried to sputter out, but then you just sighed, tears welling in your eyes.
this wasn't how you wanted this to happen, and it started to make you angry.
"this wasn't how i wanted this to happen." you cried, attempting to control your breathing but not doing a very good job.
matthew got up from the floor in front of you and sat down next to you on the couch as you let yourself sob. let yourself feel it.
"i know baby. i'm so sorry. i want to fix this, please let me fix it." he pleaded softly, reaching out to wipe the tears from your face.
"i want to be angry at you. and i want to hate you. but i don't and i don't think that i can. and when i thought about how our life was going to play out, this wasn't part of the plan. and now i don't know how to do this. i don't know how to tell you. this was never how i wanted this to happen."
"you can tell me baby. it's okay." he nods, wrapping his arm around your waist and wiping the tears from your face with the sleeve of his hoodie.
you reached down, grabbing the papers, staring at them as your tears dripped slowly onto the pages. you couldn't tell him.
so you didn't.
you stood up and grabbed his laptop that was connected to his printer and you printed out the pages from your email. you were determined to do this the way you planned. because you couldn't bring yourself to do it any other way.
matt sat there listening to the pages printing, and listened to you walk back over to the couch, taking a seat next to him.
"here..." you said softly, placing the papers in his lap.
he raised his shaky hands onto the page and began to read, and then his hands stopped.
"what...what is this?"
"please don't...make me say it. please."
his eyebrows furrowed as he kept reading, and then he stopped. his fingers hovering over the words.
"we....it- what?" he breathed out.
"i'm...pregnant."

đšwith a Yandere Original Character? A surprise please! And the reader can be GN or female anything you want!
Thank you oh and please take care of yourself
Title: Locked in another realm
Character(s): Kitsune (Unnamed character/original work) Summary: You were in love, so in love, till you found out who he really was. Warnings/tags: Fem!reader, (monster) male yandere, general yandere themes, imprisonment
[ - A little present~! Event - Closed - ]
Trapped in the yokai realm you looked at the sky. Water flowing down from clouds something you thought that you would never see in your life now as you watched the birds a little too big fly around it. Houses far away from here you watched floating out of thin air in small islands you wondered how free they certainly looked.
Standing up from the grass floor, cleaning up your yukata (a disgusting gift from him but it was far better than draping in gold) from the dirt. You stared at the vast field in front of you. So close you thought taking a step towards it away from the house you were trapped in. Raising your hands you tried to reach for the fields till your hand touched an invisible barrier.
You were trapped in his domain.
In his home in the spirit realm, he placed a barrier just for you. Proven and needed by the multiple times you tried to run away from his hold. "You shouldn't run away like that from your dear husband. What if others misunderstand? Though they never did care, busy with their own lives to care about a human being in this realm." You were too naughty, he told you waving his finger right in from of your face at your after your last attempt from running away.
"Oh dear, your lovely hands had been bruised from banging the wall. Really you shouldn't do that after all that wall was made for your safety. I don't understand why you are so determined to go out."
He knew why you wanted to get out. The sly look on his face as he placed your palm on his lips kissing it as you watched your injuries heal.
It was disgusting in your eyes, everything was.
How his long nails dug into your leg when he finally had enough of this when you tried to get away from having a meal with him. As you tried to leave the room only for him to grab your leg and tell you to sit. When it started to get a little boring, he started to grow ever more impatient. It was only so much time when his patience would run out.
The sounds of wind hitting the grass makes you relax a little. It was fake and an illusion made by him as you were taken away from the human world a long time ago. But it was better than staying in a room that looked just like the house you once lived in. What was once lovely now felt suffocating.
You wished you could turn back time. Time long ago before you meet him. Before you fell in love, if you could you will run. Run far away from him but now it seems that it is too late.
Back when you were innocent and naive, when you fell in love first with his beauty you didn't believe that a man like him would fall for you... would notice you. It was every girl's fantasy after all that a kind young man, rich and smart would look at them and they would both fall in love and make a family.
But you also thought somewhere in your heart that him ever loving you was too good to be true.
But he did.
"Hello." You looked up and your heart felt like it had leaped out from your chest the moment you recognized his face. Seeing your flustered reaction, the man can't help but smile.
Taking the time to get to know you and then court you. You were delighted at first but soon you fell in love, crush to love, so in love with his affections and care. So in love with his touch, and his words of adoration.
An innocent love it seems, something so shallow when you accepted his courtship. Your parents were also happy for you delighted of finding such a fine man who could care for you.
Soon you married and found a home with him. The heart in your eyes was still so obvious yet many say that it was your husband who loves you more. You thought you were lucky for it not knowing that in the future it would only become shackles.
There were a few things or habits that made you question him sometimes when you looked at his sometimes sharp nails, thicker than humans but also sharper. Or how he always knew where you were as if he could sniff you out from the crowd or how his eyes were always on you no matter what you were doing, he was always staring. Sometimes you thought his eyes were like that of a canine animal instead of a circular shape, his pupils would look more like slits of a fox with a golden shine. Or how you thought you would see a fox tail on his shadow even though he himself didn't have one. You were never sure because when you tried to look again they were normal again.
As if they were never there in the first place.
You thought that this would last forever. Maybe you would grow up with him old and wrinkled but still in love and that every single tribulation has been or will be overcome with him and by his side.
You shouldn't have woke up that day and just stayed in your bed than maybe you could have stayed in ignorant bliss. Late at night following your husband when he suddenly left to the forest, you should have just closed your eyes till the sun reaches the sky. When you saw his fingers longer and sharper than before.
Looking back to see so much fur, tails that look like a fox. Your heart dropped when you counted 9 all swaying slowly. The long ears on his head flinching made you frightened as you look at them, taking a step back you didn't see the twig that snapped right under your foot notifying him of your presence.
Your heart dropped when you saw his eyes staring at you, first surprised and feral which quickly changed into shock and understanding. His eyes that you used to love to look at now were gold and pupils slit like that of a fox.
You ran. You ran as fast as you could. You have to get away from here, away from him, away from everything. You ignored how your night clothes get caught up in small bushes, ignored the small puddles you splashed while running dirtying your clothes even more. Tears were in your eyes, was it caused by fear, or was it caused by a broken heart you weren't sure. You were still too confused. Confused about everything.
But all you knew is that you need to get out right now.
But you were nowhere near fast enough.
He caught up to you too soon, flying into the high trees he grabbed your waist and then your hands when you tried to hit him but failed to. You screamed but you were silenced, tears flowing even more from your face as you begged and begged him not to kill you. You kept your eyes shut scared of the pain and you chanted not to be killed but maybe it was better to die. The sly smile he had as he looked at you was both familiar and not, he was not the man you love. Not anymore.
The purring in his body as his tails warp around you to protect you from the cold. It didn't give any comfort at all.
"My dear, you know I would never kill." He told you as he wiped out your tears. No matter how much you moved, how much you struggled it was no use. He had you in his arms.
That night you had to say goodbye to the human realm as the monster took you away leaving nothing.
"Not when it took so long to finally have you."
