OK SO IM GOING TO WRITE SOME BACKSTORY THEN CLICK THE CUT TO SEE THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE WITH NO EDITING.

OK SO BASICALLY. At this point in the series, (season 1 had been out and season 2 kept getting hints dropped) every main love square ship had gotten their "scene", except for marichat. Marichat, argueably, was the (and still is) most popular ship on the show. Suddenly a still frame (or concept art?) was released of marinette and chat sitting on her balcony together looking out at the stars. This was quickly dubbed the "balcony scene" and many many many ficwriters quickly made fics of the scene, people made art for it, and people were overall, generally super f/cking hyped for it. Then, glaciator dropped, and reviews were... mixed to say the least. So here, presented in its full, unedited glory, was my hot 2016 take.

Yes. I will be talking about THIS episode. The episode so anticipated by shippers everywhere. The episode that was supposed to finally give marichat shippers a chance, and we ended up with this.

I hate this episode, for many many reasons, but do not worry. The balcony scene isn't one of them.

Here is my summary, (which is very long, so if you would rather just rewatch the episode feel free to do so)

The episode starts out, with chat asking lady out. Nothing out of the ordinary. She says no, but chat takes it as a maybe. (Which is already really stupid, but I'll let it slide)

After they wrap up the escapade, Mari goes to Andre the sweetheart ice cream man, and becomes disappointed when Adrian says he can't go. (Which is not his fault, so I'm letting this slide as well)

Mari feels like a third wheel and declines Andres ice cream because she's heartbroken? (You can get ice cream any day? And it wasn't Adrian's choice either, she should know this by now?)

Andres feelings are hurt.

Cut to chat, who is waiting for ladybug, and lady isn't showing.

Cut to hawkmoth who akumatizes Andre, and then cut to mari, who feels bad about the who ordeal.

Chat blows out candles angstily (even though lady clearly said no, AND thought he was joking) and decides that lady doesn't love him.

Mari is sad about Adrian and goes out to her balcony, balcony scene happens and chat brings Mari to his date he had planned.

Mari is surprised that chat hadn't been joking this entire time (ehh it makes enough sense) and now she feels double as bad.

Andre attacks.

Chat leaps into action and ladybug comes right after. Chat is angsty, and ladybug doesn't show any kind of remorse (what?)

She says sorry, but with no meaning. (maybe bad voice acting, so I'll let this one slide as well) chat is still mad. They soon make the discovery that he doesn't hurt couples, so lady asks if they could pretend to be a couple and chat says no. (Which makes sense) then lady like 1 minute later asks the same thing and chat says yes. (What why would he say yes? ) And they pretend to be a couple but it doesn't do anything to help them?

It helps them escape but they could have done that without pretending to be a couple? Anyways, they save the day and then lady comes to go see chats surprise. He offers her a rose, and lady says she only wants to be friends.

(Chat should have still been mad at her, since she never even said sorry properly, I mean I know I would have,) and chat smiles and says that's fine, then he blasts off.

We follow chat to his room and he's smiling in his bed. Plagg tells him it's ok to be heartbroken, and that a little cheese can help, but Adrian says he isn't heartbroken, and that he's glad she sees him as a friend.

Oof that summary was longer than expected, but it was hopefully shorter than the episode.

Ok, so now that we are all refreshed, I will now list m problems with the episode, in order to make it easier to fix.

First problem, Marinette is heartbroken over the ice cream.

We can easily fix this by making it a special day, like maybe it's a blue moon that night, and Mari wanted to see it with Adrien. It could be the same for Chat with Ladybug, they wanted to see the blue moon together. He takes the, "maybe, I have plans" as a, "sure I'll make it a plan" because he really really wants it to happen, maybe even have plagg mention it, say something along the lines of, "She said she had plans," and Adrien says, "She said maybe!" (I know they already say this, but it isn't portrayed very well in my opinion.

Problem two, Ladybug never says sorry, and chat doesn't care.

Honestly, throughout the entire episode, I was waiting for ladybug to give chat a hug and just say sorry properly. Throughout most of the episode, chat looks on the brink of tears, and lady acts like she can't see it, and chat forgives her almost instantly. It would have been much more interesting to see a chat begrudgingly doing as he's told, just to save Paris, and go home.

Problem 3, Chat isn't heartbroken.

As stated in the show, we don't ever see the sensitive side of chat noir, and the show seems to want to avoid the subject. Chat got friendzoned. He says he's happy to be lady's friend, but he always was, from the start. All of this buildup, only for it to be knocked down in a single episode. Adrien should have been devistated, but then again, this is one of those "reset" type of shows, where everything must resolve before the credits roll, and it becomes very obvious with the awkward transition. You can tell that they were planning to have him heartbroken in bed, mad at ladybug, but someone said, "kids don't want meaningful character exploration, they want happy endings!"

Ok, so now I write my script doctored version of this episode. Warning, it's pretty long.

Ladybug and chat are talking it up as they help the people get off the bus.

"So, you heard about the blue moon tonight chat noir?" Lady asks.

"Yeah, when there is a full moon twice in a month? It's very rare!" Chat says, explaining to all the kids what a blue moon is. "Well, m'lady, can you visit me tonight? You know, to see it together?" Lady shakes her head.

"I have plans," lady thinks it over for a bit however, "but maybe I can come." Chat looks at the time on his baton, and realizes he has to go back home, his piano practice is almost over.

"Gotta go, see you later ladybug!" He says, as he runs off. Lady goes home and realizes that's she's almost late to go meet her friends. She runs out the door and we cut to Adrien, who is texting Nino.

"Sorry nino, father said I can't come" he's talking as he's texting. Plagg flies by and says, "you didn't even ask your dad, how do you know he'd say no?"

Adrien responds, "I have plans with ladybug remember?"

Plagg rolls his eyes. "She said that she had plans."

Adrien looks at plagg and says, "she said maybe."

We cut away from Adrien and we now see a heartbroken Mari.

"It's the blue moon, the most magical night of all, and we were going to eat Andre's ice cream, the most magical ice cream in Paris!" Mari sighs sadly as she sits down on a bench. Nino shows her the text and says, "It's never adrien's fault, so don't blaim him for not being able to show."

"I know, I know." Mari stands up and they all start looking for the ice cream cart.

Cut to chat, who's has just finished setting up the date.

"I really hope she comes." Chat says this with certainty, showing his trust in ladybug. Without having to OUTRIGHT SAY IT. (cough cough episode 12 cough cough)

Cut back to mari, who is exhausted from the chase to find the cart, and salty about Adrien. She sees alya and nino holding hands as they get their ice cream, and looks at the ground while she sits on the bench, not wanting to see it. "We can never be like them" She says, salty. Andre notices this and gives her the ice cream.

"Perfect, just like your love!" Andre says, with a smile. Mari's twisted salty head decides that she doesn't love him, because she and adrien will never be like alya and nino, so when Andre is passing the icecream to Mari, she doesn't grab it, and it falls to the ground.

"I don't love anyone." Mari says, as she stares at the fallen ice cream. Under her breath Mari says, "because no body loves me." Mari looks up at Andre who looks very sad. She realizes what happened and runs to her house. Cut to chat, who is doing the candle thing he did before because that was a really good and powerful scene and I don't want to change it. Start balcony scene, and everything is the same up until the "reveal" of the surprise to ladybug. This time, she hugs him, and you see chats eyes tearing up as she friendzones him. He lets go of the hug prematurely, and smiles, putting the rose in lady's hair. He goes back home and no more cuts to chat or Adrien so we can let the viewers draw their own conclusions. Everything is the same up until when Adrien gets the ice cream. This time, Adrien looks a little happy/sad when Andre prepares him the ladybug ice cream. Happy because he knows he still loves ladybug, but also sad because he knows she will never love him in the same way.

I'm sorry for making you read that entire thing. If you made it through, please, tell me below, which version you like more, and I really want to see your criticism of both. I'd love to have a conversation about it.

I do hope I'm not a burden with my theory. From Soul Master dream nail,we can see PK strongly opposed soul experiments and his actions.Yet,in vessels we see ability to manipulate souls on SM level.SM was affected by Radi at that point,he was not at fault.PK wouldn't create vessels if he was not desperate.Moths,according to Seer,were fickle,they deflected peacefully to PK,he didn't steal them.Radi,on other hand is stealing Unns followers-Mosskin.PK might care about people more than Radi.

Hey bro I’m all for theories so never feel burded.

With Pk being apposed with the experiments I think it’s not so much the ise of soul itself but waste of reasorces for something that wouldn’t work.

Soulmaster blaims Pk’s jealously for him stoping it in his Soul Tyrant version. While Soul Tyrant isn’t in his best mind I would imagine he would say something like his “fear” if Pk stopped it out of dislike of the experimants themselves.

For the vessels being able to use soul I don’t think it’s something he did on purpose either way. Vessels being the kids of higher beings, who have special powers with soul, can use it.

The moths going peacefully to Pk I think is because they forgot Radiance existence for the most part. The whole reason the Radiance is pissed is because Pk made eveyone forget her and took over what was once her kingdom. For the moths then where else would a bunch of scentiant bugs go? Most are peaceful so bot the mantice tribe of course. Deepnest? Spiders eat moths! The hive is a bunch of bees I doubt they are taking anyone in. Maybe Greenpath with Unn? Ya I can see actually.

But I’m not sure they really intergrated very well with Hollownest anyway. There is a specific tribe of moths and moths alone. I’m sure they were apart of Hollownest but not as well meshed with other bugs because while they still have this unique area.

Radiance though? Ya I totally agree she stole followers afterwards. She not only stole some from the mosskin but also from the mantis tribe when the infection go going. And you need to remember these are those who are willingly infected. Nearly every bug you fight are people who’s lives were destroyed and stolen by the Radiance. No matter which side of the good or evil side you believe Pk to be on you cannot change the fact that Radiance desimated an entire Kingdom and the people without thought. It’s stated in game that the more you fight the infection the worse it is. You become infected no matter your individual choice.

Pk needed to do something about this. His kingdom was in ruins and none of his solutions so far were working. Soulmasters plans kept failing and his response was he needed more soul, sealing of the City of Tears didn’t work, putting the Radiance in the dream realm didn’t even work. He needs to do something or everyone will die.

Void eats and destroys life. He sees this in the bugs who die in the abyss and he has learned to harness it in his gaurds. But if he makes a mistake this is something that would have horrible consequences. And he can’t exactly just chuck her into the abyss so the best he has is making a vessel. A perfect vessel because remember, anything goes wrong and hundreds will die.

He uses his own children. Maybe not the moral thing but of he just used a Kingsmold they aren’t really powerful. Plus, with the collector it’s entirely likey they have a mind of their own. They could be infected too. Probably not easy but if the entire Radiance is trapped then she has all of her attention on just one thing. And what else would he use? His people are already becoming infected, using the last of his people wouldn’t be very ideal since if they all die what kingdom will he have left? No survivors then and it was all kinda pointless since the people he wanted to save are all kinda dead and/or void creatures.

Hundreds of thousands of his children die. It a tragic loss of life but the alternative of letting a Kingdom doe isn’t good either. No cost to great because if he doesn’t pay it he’ll lose everything he worked so hard. All of his people will die and everything he worked so hard to make will be gone. It’s even effecting un realated parties such as Deepnest and The Hive. How far will this infection spread if nothing stops it?

A perfect vessel is finally made. The people may not know who this Hollow Knight is but they are still alive because of it. Pk could take all the credit of curing this infection but he doesn’t. He decides to errect a statue for all to see of not just the knight but the dreamers to. They may not know who this knight is but they are reminded of their sacrifice in the center of the most magnificent city in Hollownest.

But the vessel isn’t pure and the Radiance seeps out. The infection is spreading once again and eventually leaves. We don’t know why. Maybe out of guilt for all he has done, fear of the Radiance, hope that if the source of her anger leaves she will leave too? We just don’t know because it’s never said in game.

With so many ways to interpret things and so much left unknown there is no definite way to see Pk.

I personally believe he had a deep love for his Kingdom and it’s people for a variety of reasons. He made it so of course there is pride of his creation but also because this is a Kingdom of unique bugs with free will.

Saying he’s an evil egotistical person who murdered his kids for no reason is such a disservice to what he could be and outright ignores the gravity of the situation he was in. He could be such an interesting and complex character yet he’s so often reduced to “#1 worst dad” at best in the fandom.

“ especially after today. ” you still have your friends , glenn is back too , please remember to look after yourself without me , can you say ‘ i love you ’ one more time ? , ask sylvain to make your gratin today , thoughts spill & she finds no words to say it , heart hammering & knuckles white. “ i love you , ” she says instead , & she tries her best to smile.

i’m sorry , she thinks , when she leans up onto her toes to give him a gentle kiss. chaste , sweet ; one would think it was only a brief parting , a ‘ see you later ’ & nothing else. it would be much easier for the boy who has lost so much already , & that urges her to give him another.

& another , & another. let her last moments be an act of love , & nothing else.

The situation with him happened two years ago. Yes, I was hurt too, but personally, I've forgiven Milo, and it's just stupid to me that one would leave a fandom for one members' mistake. Any thoughts?

While reading you message, I stumbled across your words “I’m scared”, and that’s something I’d like to discuss before answering your question. I think nowadays we all are getting more and more scared of making anyone feel offended, hurt or even uncomfortable, of receiving backlash from them that will hurt us. I believe that fear to be desctructive as it makes you change your wording, your message and eventually your thoughts in an attempt to please everyone. That fear changes you and gets you far from your true self. Please, don’t give in to it! Be polite, have your point of view and stand by it.

Now let’s move on to your question. As you asked, I will present my take and will go hard, but I’ll try to understand all sides and have no intention of offending Korean fans, Korean culture or any side in this situation.

What was Minhak’s mistake? He got close with a Japanese girl, which hurt feelings of some of Korean fans. He wrote cheeky messages to her, which hurt feelings of fans who were possessive over Minhak. The messages were provocative enough to hurt feelings of people who believed that to be indecent for an idol. Finally, subtle suspicion that the girl might be underaged was enough for the bomb to explode. Every person decided whether they belonged to any of the groups above and whether those arguments were strong enough for them to leave the fandom. I didn’t see anything bad in the situation itself, and I must say that I did way “worse” things when I was in that age and hell knows what things I wrote to people I flirted with.

Being an idol, Minhak should definitely have been more cautious, but let’s try to look at it from his perspective. For many years, instead of hanging out with friends, you go to the agency and practice till your body hurts. You’re mostly locked in a small world, and there are times when you feel lonely. Proper communication with girls isn’t possible, and in search for warmth and affection you get close with a girl from another country. Minhak is a very responsible guy, and, coming from a less wealthy household than the other members, he knew how much was at stake. Still, his loneliness pushed him into a relationship that lead to a scandal. He is partly responsible for what happened, but I think he’s got punished way more than he deserved.

Who got away in that situation is the agency, that had no guts to defend their idol and failed in educating him how to prevent such cases from happening. You can’t control your artists’ phones and personal lives, but you can explain again and again that there are idol hunters, they will be persistent, they will try to use their contact and provide perfect screenshots for a sensation. CThunus failed in preparing their idols for possible risks and in handling the situation with Minhak. It was the worst scenario possible, and now we all have lost an amazing dancer and Romeo’s vitamin.

However, let’s think why the agency decided it would better cut Minhak off than handle reputation damage. Who were they scared of? They thought fans would be so aggressive that they would destroy the group like it was with their former group Block B. We, fans, tend to be possessive over our idols, we sexualize them, we write fiction, but we dare judge them for any step we see as wrong. That’s most hypocritical of us, and we are also to blaim in this situation. What makes us think that idols mustn’t have personal life and belong to their fans? How selfish is that! As long as fans behave like that, agencies will be getting rid of problematic artists. I’m not blaiming anyone, I’m just trying to bring awareness to the reasons why we get what we get.

Anyway, Minhak is eliminated, and there’s nothing we can do about that. Fans who left the fandom aren’t going back. We all have made up our minds, and the division has happened.

In conclusion, I’d like to encourage you to write what you like and present it in the way you see it. If you have forgiven Minhak, go ahead and show it. It’s your point of view, don’t let fear distort your creation. And please, be an angel, send me a link when you finish, I’ll be more than happy to read what you come up with~

Help Chihiro to receive her annual vaccines

See this beautiful dirty angel on the picture? Her name’s Chihiro. She was the pet of some neighbors of mine who left her on MY roof when they decided to move out, even though they told my father that they had have her with them since she was just a kitten. Listen, I’m no one to judge any decisions other people made, specially when I don’t know for sure the reasons behind said decisions, but leaving a member of your family on someone else’s house -a faithful and perfectly loving pet, actually- is something I can’t forgive that easily. Specially when it became clear that they didn’t even had the decency to sterilize their cat.

Anyway, at first we didn’t want to get involve with Chihiro because what if her owners decided to come back for her later on and then accuse us of theft? Also, we own lots of pets (3 cats, 3 dogs and 1 turtle) so we were -and still are- at our limit financially and space wise. But this cat prove to be stubborn and everytime she heard our cats meowing us for food she would start begging for some too from where she was hidden. I love animals, and I must admit I was the first one to gave in. Something that started as simply as feeding a stray animal out of pity, soon became a mission to restore this cat with a new responsible family. For she stole our hearts and turned out to be one of the most sweetest souls we came to encounter.

At first we tried enter in contact with local animal shelters, and the people working there told us that she first needed to be sterilized, dewormed and count with at least the antirabique vaccine before becoming a good candidate to be accepted on their facilities. We took care of the last two, unfortunately we learn on the way that she was already preggo by that time. The same person we resort to for help, asked us to serve as a foster home for the soon to became mother and her unborn litter. Which we tried, but our home was crowded and Chihiro was stressed out and ended up having her babies on our roof.

The kitties, actually, were good publicity! Lots of potential adopters showed interest in Chihiro and her kittens and everyone found a home... except Chihiro. She went with at least three different people, and all three returned her to me claiming damaged property. At this point it became clear that Chihiro had grown wilder within the months she expended outside and soon the interest died when her last son was out of the picture. After that, shelters seemed to not have room for her no more. I don’t blaime them, in my country animal shelters survive only from charity most of the time, so we understood there weren’t enough resources for them to take care of another animal until notice. But they still offered us to promote her on their social networks and that was the end of it, for we still don’t hear from anyone new who is willing to adopt her.

Everything is ups and downs from this point. We give her food two-three times a day, she has clean water everyday and is smart enough to wait until dark (when everything is still and quiet) to come down of the roof and explore the neighberhood. As I said before, we don’t really count with the money or the space to adopt her "officially" and, actually, medically speaking we’re terrified of the idea of her getting sick, since we can’t pay for her medicines and so.

Trying to prevent this sceneary I made a fundraiser on youcaring speacially for her and I started taking pictures of Chihiro and posting them on instagram to drawn attention to her story and campaign. Until now we haven’t received any donations, since a stray cat is no stranger’s top priority (which, again, I understand). But time’s ticking and already a year has passed since the last time she went to the vet.

With each month that passes, she grows dirtier, a fang and other dental pieces are going missing and she still hasn’t been able to recieve her annual vaccines (which is very important since it prevents several dangerous diseases). My worst fear is the possibility of her contracting a virus and spread it between the neighboring cats, causing all sorts of fatalities that could have been prevented if only she had got her vaccines on time. If this doesn’t ring any bells to you yet, making things worse, I recently found out that youcaring has been bought by gofundme, a platform that doesn’t support my country and prevents me to get international help. My campaign is still up, but now I have a time limit (another one) to reach my goal before they close it.

I know times are hard for everyone, and if you don’t want or can’t give money in change of nothing, let me tell you that my sister’s also helping out with this. She’s an illustrator and has offered to made a head sketch to anyone who donates through her Ko-fi doesn’t matter the quantity you donate. I'm wondering something about car insurance. I am a 17 year old male, (turning 18 in 1 month) and have been driving a 2001 Hyundai accent since October. I am insured with esurance, and have liability only. I have a clean driving record. My monthly insurance is $197. I am on my parents policy. When I first called to get a quote, (cheapest company for me) it was around 120 a month, but then they got the VIN number and of course it went up because it knew exactly what car it was. Just because they presume that since your a lad/guy your very likely to crash. And girls won't? Its not the Victorian era there's a lot of young women that are into cars & are racers.
