hii im suuper late to my own week ik (i'll post the rest of the days from time to time, college applications were a pain </3 but i've got most of it down
This piece is a redraw of my very first post ! This has been a wip since the start of the year so my art style unsurprisingly changed a bunch as i tweaked the lines and colors. it's not the best but it's looking as good as it can be!
as for the zine, people are free to draw up pieces for the week up until the end of september and we can compile it all together! it's not really the usual zine format but who knows.. we can maybe try to figure out a way to formally start a more structured zine project for these two
Anyway! I've decided to dedicate my greenflower week posts to my headcanons I've made up for them from the past 4 years.. I figured you guys could take a peek into my brain since I haven't really been good at that unless you catch me in a vc :") there's a buncha hcs and old ass art i never posted finally unearthing under the cut if you wanna take a peek
So, first thing: Body headcanons..
i took super long getting what i want with this waay back when I started posting cause I was still figuring out a lot with my art. i couldn't get in good details/features that would properly differentiate them or make them fun to draw. I wasn't striving to be really innovative with the designs or anything, I just wanted them to feel like characters I like looking at and thinking about
finally, i'm somewhat able to settle on these as of right now! It will most likely update as the time passes and my art changes, but this is what I got!
basically the main idea is that i wanted Lloyd to be bulkier but sharper. grew up fast and has all these edges, but then you get to know him and he's just a big ol dork. Mostly wears loose-fitting clothes that hides his figure, but he's quite built underneath
Brad's a lil taller and pretty lanky. my art style may not be able to show that properly but lloyd can snap him in half <3 he also seems hella chill but that's probably cause he got balls of steel after living through a million ninjago invasions
This thing below is an old outfit concept I have for a project that I've been working on. does not reflect my current headcanons with his physical appearance but i do like his clothes
I think he loves his role as the green ninja, saving the world and such. it came with lots of baggage and reflection but i do promise that he enjoys it for the most part. I think him wearing green is kind of like wearing work clothes so he tends to avoid it on days when he's free to keep from being too ready to jump into ninja mode
i do tend to keep him in green though cause the fandom sure does love their color-coded ninja
anyway .. that's about most of what i've got for this that looks good enough to post, so here's a bunch of other doodles/sketches, both old and new ToT
oh and a quick comic too cause why not

What happened with Granted? It was my favorite comic to read but it suddenly stopped. Why??
Hey, it means a lot to me that it was your favorite, and I'm sorry it stopped updating so abruptly. Short answer is that I just became too busy. It took me an enormous amount of time to make. I could keep up with it while I was in school, but once I graduated I had to focus on paying jobs. Finding my career in sailing, which has virtually no free time/internet/electricity, didn't make it any easier.
At this point it's still very very dear to me, but it also feels like it was made by a completely different person - I started writing and drawing it in high school, half a lifetime ago. It would be hard to pick it up where I left off, after so long. If I go back to it (which I do still think about) it would have to be with a quicker, more sustainable art style, and probably redrawing/rewriting it from the beginning to make it something I was happier with as a whole. And I'd want to have everything roughly drafted before posting anything - I wouldn't restart it unless I knew I'd be able to finish it properly this time, with a quality I'd be happy with all the way through.
I'd still pick it up in a heartbeat if I could afford to take the winters off and do nothing but build up a buffer of pages to cover the year to come - it's a question of time and financial stability, not of interest. (The next few pages are still in my WIP folder, accusatorily) I just flat haven't been able to afford it, and what with the whole 'superyacht crushing the boat that was my sole source of income' thing, it's unlikely the next few years are going to give me the chance either. We'll see, I guess.

HOW DO YOU DRAW FACES??!?! seriously, everything about your art is pure eyecandy, I love it SO MUCH, but faces. YOUR FACES. the faces are perfect. they capture every detail. they feel so human. so expressive. i would love to know how you draw/structure your faces because it's the biggest thing i'd like to improve on with my art!
Art is a translation of how you perceive the world. Art is both extremely watered down and painfully vulnerable with emotions. The artist translates the world, and people translate the art. Lots of art gets lost in translation. My goal is to make people read my art regardless of my language. I want my art to speak louder than my simple cluttered words could.
How can you read a face with no words? You have to find your own way to do that, but here’s a very rough way of how I read people and attempt to translate their world into mine.
One practice is drawing straight from a reference. I've been watching TLOU, which has some of the best acting ever and is perfect for screenshotting specific moments to recreate. Pulling scenes from episode five, I stretch and amplify the facial features to properly read their emotions in my style, ex, making Ellie and Sam's eyes bigger to amplify their youth, smoothing out facial wrinkles for simplicity, and (my favorite) exaggerating the mouths so they emote louder.
Second method is feeling how your face moves. Ethan Becker on YouTube explains it better (go watch all his videos) of how to feel and observe how your face compresses and works with different features to properly express emotions. Using your own face as a stencil to understand how your muscle and jaw work is both simple, and always accessible for artist reference.
An example of how I break down bits of a chapter into chunks for each panel while still attempting for it to run smoothly like the writing. Honestly, a lot of this part rides on wanting to do the author justice for their fabulous work. You want to show them how much their work affected you and why it’s totally worth it to draw their stories.
Some examples of scenes from media (that almost made me cry) and how I translate and manipulate it into my style. This is why I redraw scenes from movies so often, not only is it fun and easy, but it’s a great way of studying the masters
But, to actually answer your question, I think the reason my drawings are so expressive to you is because I still follow somewhat typical human anatomy while still being cartoony enough to break the uncanny valley and create an aesthetically pleasing style. I’m still practicing and studying everyday to get better. You must work as much as possible to attempt to properly translate the world.

was thinking about Sanji and Boa at work the other day and part of my brain wanted to say that they would be friends, but then i thought about it for more than two seconds and they absolutely would not like each other (more like Boa does not like Sanji but he would listen to every word the says)

Ninjago Remastered Designs!
THEY'RE DONE! After months of work!!! They are DOOOOOOOOOOONE. WOOOOOOOOOOO! Lol! Welp, these are my Ninjago designs! Basically, this is my take on the Ninja if they were in a 2d animated cartoon! And yes! I will be drawing more characters. Tumblr butchered the quality, so close ups and design notes are below the cut. They're pretty detailed, so I highly recommend checking them out. Feel free to ask questions about the designs! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ - ✒️🐉
When designing these outfits, I tried to take inspiration from the ones in the show. And in terms of art style, drew inspiration from early 2000s cartoons, (Action Adventure ones specifically,) Anime inspired shows, and even a hint of traditional Disney animation. And while I designed them with a 2d cartoon in mind, most of the designs would most likely have to be simplified for them to be used in animation. So let's get started!
Kai: Kai was a pretty fun to work with. I actually didn't plan on giving him a sleeveless outfit. But it happened! And I like it! If you'll notice, the flame pattern on his vest mirrors the pattern on his sister Nya's outfit. I thought that would be a cool detail to include. It was inspired by their March of The Oni outfits. I also made sure to include his scar and bandaid. And gave him reddish brown eyes to signify his elemental power. Him and sister I imagine being Brazilian/Taiwanese. So I hope I captured their ethnicity properly. I'm pretty happy with this design. Especially his hair, which was hard to replicate.
Jay: Jay was a hard one for sure. I wasn't too sure how to vamp up his outfit. So I started by giving him some lightning patterns on his Gi. (At least I think that's what it's called?) And I decided to make it look a little baggy and soft. It just seemed to suit him. I tried something a little more form fitting and didn't look right. Also! A fun detail I included was his half the Yin Yang pendent around his neck! And of course Nya has her half. I imagine him having Irish ancestry, so I gave him pale, freckled skin. And gorgeous curly red hair. (As a fellow red head, I'm very proud.) Overall, I think he turned out pretty adorable. And his face is spot on.
Nya: Nya I pretty much got right on the first try! I just had a really clear vision of her in my head. I gave her a grey outfit with bright, vibrant blue details. The pattern on her Gi is inspired by Koi Scales. And she has her half of the Yin Yang pendent around her neck. I really like this one, because while it is simple, it's beautiful. And I think it reflects her element nicely. The only thing I missed was to give her a symbol like the rest. But overall, I love it! One more thing is that I wanted to give her and Pixal different hair. So when I finally release my Pixal design, you'll see that while they both have ponytails, I gave them different cut and styled ones. Should be neat!
Zane: Zane was the first one of the Ninjas I redesigned! I love how he turned out. I tried to give him a splintered ice effect on his outfit inspired by his Core minifigure and gave him his faithful falcon companion. Falcon has his old greyish purple feathers, but blue icy eyes to match his owner. I also wanted to give Zane flowing sleeves, that would look very majestic waving about in a blizzard wind. He is also incredibly tall. Taller than Cole even! I was inspired by the giant humanoid robots I'd seen in movies. In his cloaking disguise, I imagine him looking German. With blond hair, blue eyes, and light skin. I also like to think Dr Julian was German. (Was this influenced by my German ancestry? Who knows?)
Cole: You would not believe how many times I had to redraw this man's face. Haha! I just could find that sweet spot! That face that perfectly encapsulated his strong, but gentle personality. But I think I did it! His outfit is based on his Oni Trilogy Gi, with orange detailing. And he has his Island ponytail and bandana. I absolutely loved that hair style on him. So I had to use it! And if you'll notice, he has a beautiful tattoo on his right arm, with his symbol in the center. I imagine him being half Maori, from his mother's side. And the tattoo was inspired by Maori tattoos I saw pictures of. I'm not too sure how accurate those images were. But hopefully I hit the mark.
Lloyd: Finally! Our green Ninja Lloyd! His outfit was inspired by two things. Dragons, and his outfit from the Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu seasons. I gave him a beautiful golden dragon and cloud pattern on his clothes, a leather arm guard, and shoulder pads. If you look closer, you'll also see he has cat-like dragon eyes which pays homage to his dragon and Oni heritage. I like to think that depending on his emotions, his eyes will go from slits, to big and wide. So they are good indicators for his mood. I also imagine him being Japanese. But his powers give him his classic blond hair and green eyes. I'm very happy with this design. His hair, eyes, and face all look exactly how I see him in my head.

BOBA AU - CHAPTER 1 EXTRAS
I had actually drawn a few more things than could fit within the 30-image-per-post limit. Here are the ones that didn't make the cut, with commentary!
(tw: mild animal abuse, n*zi mention, suggestive themes)
Zilch's animal companions. I named Carmina Burana and Tortellini, Gucci and Bosch were named by my friends - though Bosch was supposed to be called Hieronymus, it just didn't fit on the nametag lol
I wanted to illustrate some examples of Zilch casually mistreating/neglecting the animals but this was as far as I got. I don't think he would be a full on animal abuser, just... the type of person who likes having a bunch of pets to show off but doesn't really think about properly caring for them. He likes the aesthetics of animals much more than the logistics.
This was gonna be the chapter cover and I forgot. Oops.
This was just practice drawing the church characters from their sprites.
Zilch: I must say, it's an unexpected pleasure to run into another kindred spirit around here. I'm Zilch~
This scene was actually cut deliberately. I drew it before I decided exactly what the Nun's issue with Zilch would be and then once I did, I felt like it didn't fit anymore. Zilch is still excited to see someone else with ears and tail like him, but in the final version, he's a lot more derisive about it.
I imagine the Nun is, like, an actual animal-human hybrid whereas Zilch is a furry with a wallet that can afford bioengineered bodymods. (One day, my friends... one day...)
Zilch being flippant and Halara being dismissive/tsundere. Couldn't really find a place to put it but I still like the drawing - even if I did accidentally give Zilch human ears.
By the way, you might notice Zilch hasn't been wearing his cap. There are two reasons. One is to show off that his ears aren't actually connected to it. If I had the time to go back and redraw the prologue with him wearing it - so Halara's "holy fuck" reaction makes more sense here - I would. (Not really worth trying to fix though, not until the rest of the story is done.)
But the other reason is that upon looking closer at Zilch's original design, I thought it was a little too evocative of Nazi imagery and wasn't really comfortable with it. It's not really the same style of hat, sure, but combined with the swastikas in his eyes??? yeah no way is that not intentional. (I redesigned his eye symbols to be catlike slit pupils instead.)
I get he (or, the hitman, I guess) is supposed to be a villain, and a minor one, in the original game... but here I'm gonna flesh him out a bit more. So I guess in that sense the removal of the hat symbolizes his growth as a character beyond his terrible awful fascist upbringing lol (more on that in the Gumshoe Gabs soon)
If I were making this an actual game it would be fun to have Yuma get a fun little added gameplay element of using Zilch's Forte like he does with Halara's. He gets some little animal friends!!!
I imagined Zilch would ask to be carried, but Halara won't do it without getting paid an exorbitant amount. And then Zilch forks over the cash on the spot. Yuma screams internally. If he had that the whole time why were they even trying to negotiate over the coat???!? Why does he still have his own debt to pay if Zilch could just cover the whole thing up front????
Halara has to pretend not to be enthusiastic about this opportunity.
Shinigami is... there, I guess.

Was originally gonna have Seth say that out loud but then I remembered he doesn't want to lose his job. (It's okay, he loses it anyway.)
(Also yes this is pre-Vivia-DLC.)
And then the mystery is solved!
Zilch feels indebted to Halara for saving him from the Nail Man, and wants to follow their example, turn it around, treat his animals better... his act of goodwill here is extremely performative, though. But, hey, everyone's gotta start somewhere!
Ultimately I cut this scene after coming up with the cat bed idea. (Was very tempted to have Halara cruelly taking the coat from the boy, but just decided to skip it instead.)
So Zilch kinda idolizes Halara now... which is fine... but then the morning after he really lets his simp flag fly.
Congrats on your furry boyfriend, I guess?????

Summary: Yeah, so your twin tried to kill Caraxes and now you have to convince his rider, the mother fucking Prince, that it was all a misunderstanding (it was not).
Word Count: 2k+
Warnings: THE ONLY INCEST IN THIS IS THE CANON TARGARYEN INCEST ALRD IN HOTD OTHERWISE MISS ME WITH THAT BULLSHIT, fem!reader, witcher!twins, reader is kinda a witcher lol, I describe reader's hair and eye color, crack fic, typos, etc.
A/N: I JUST GOT A BUNCH OF IDEAS FOR THESE BLONDES AND OTHER FICTIONAL BLONDES PLEASE IM SO EXCITED TO WRITE THIS ??? SERIES???? (dont quote me on that, idk what it is) ASKFL:AFHALS:F. Geralt had smelt it in the air before anything else. He had his bow in his hand, drawn and ready. His stance was low. The steps he took against the leaf covered ground barely made a sound.
He straightened himself up when he saw an opening and pulled his arrow all the way.
When a gust of wind blew, he inhaled deeply, now certain of his opponent. A dragon.
Geralt inhaled deeply as the beast shifted in the spot it was laying. He saw the saddle on it, scoffing. Suddenly things were clearer as to why a dragon would be out in the open, so exposed. It was also clear that whoever the rider was did not care about how their ride had ravaged the nearby farm and village.
He knew his arrow would barely injure the creature, if it could pierce its skin at all, and yet he shot at its curled neck anyway.
No avail. The thing didn't even flinch.
Geralt purses his lips as he redraws his weapon. The dragon shifts again and this time, Geralt's golden eyes see an opening, quite literally an opening by the rib, just below the saddle.
The sound of the string tensing fills the witcher's ears. He narrows his eyes as he adjusts in his spot to further assess the wound, as well as to properly get an opening.
He notes how the injury was a not new, and yet it was still healing. He tries to listen in on the heartbeat, but even with how large it was, it was still too far for him to hear anything.
He withdraws a bit of tension from his bow, enough for it to still reach the dragon, but only to cause it discomfort, not really to reopen its wound, to rile the beast up enough for it to want to leave with its rider.
Geralt draws in a deep breath and releases it along with his arrow.
The dragon roars and rises from its place once the arrow hits its side.
Dramatic, if you asked him. Geralt was certain it didn't hurt as much as the thing was making it out to be.
As the dragon whined, Geralt unsheathed his blade and surveyed the area, listening in on the rider that would inevitably come next.
He inches closer to the dragon, by its tail, and soon enough he hears quick footsteps and frantic breathing.
When he turns over his shoulder to the source of the sound, the wound tension in his shoulders relaxes a fraction, then tenses again at the shrill whisper-yell.
"What the fuck did you just do?" I demand, throwing the severed head I had in my grip off to the side as I readied my sword in my hand as I went into a defensive stance, "we came for the monster I already slain."
"This thing is the reason why the village burned."
"And you think you can kill it!?"
"No, but its rider will get the message."
I lower my sword, in utter disbelief of what I was hearing, "you think it has a rider?!"
Geralt narrows his eyes, "It has a rider," he corrects, "I shot at its open wound below its saddle."
"THEN YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!" I seethe, gritting my teeth, raising my sword again. Geralt watches me as I stalk closer to the dragon. I catch the way he knit his brows, and it makes my eyes twitch, "you don't know what it means."
Geralt nears me and I elbow him to the chest, "motherfucker."
All at once, the dragon is alerted by our presence.
The massive creature stands on its legs and growls at us.
I feel him, the dragon. I feel his regality, his tie to his rider, and his distress over the arrow. He knows it was one of us that caused it. He draws in a deep breath, ready to burn us both, along with the entire forest.
I drop my sword and I raise my hand, speaking in the dragon's tongue, "calm yourself."
Geralt measures my reaction and is unconvinced by both the language I am speaking, and the fact I disarmed myself.
"We mean you no harm, your grace," I call out, slowly walking over to the dragon.
He screeches and shakes his head.
"You think it can understand you?" Geralt grunts, tensing his jaw as he brings his weapon higher.
The dragon does not appreciate this one bit.
"Just because you don't doesn't mean he doesn't," I quip.
Geralt does not care and pulls out an elixir from his pocket, quickly downing it.
"You fucking idiot! We are not-"
All at once, a command is shouted, "DRACARYS!"
Without thinking, before fire could leave his jowls, Geralt shoots chaos, causing the dragon's head to shoot up and his fire to burn above overhead.
"LYKIRI!" I repeat the same High Valyrian command to the dragon. As his head downturns, the flames he breathed ceases.
Before I realize what is happening, I hear a man shout out as he charges, "WITCH!"
Geralt blocks my view of the incoming assaulter as well as his sword that was sword meant to slay me, "Witcher."
Their weapons skid against the other's. They are upon each other, attacking aggressively, as though their lives depended on it. The dragon grows, restless in the background.
"GERALT, STOP!" I scream as my brother's silver hair swooshes in the air, as does his equally blonde opponent's. My stomach drops at the sight of him, at the sight of the man who bore all indications of a Targaryen prince.
They charge at each other, stepping forward and back, metal crashing against metal. And for a moment, the long haired prince' anger gave him the upper hand, but I knew how Geralt was evading him; he was pulling his punches, but not for long.
I decide to divert my attention to the distressed dragon, finally seeing his saddle, and the arrow stuck to his side like a thorn he could not get out.
He does not like the fact I am quickly nearing him and snaps his teeth at me.
"Do not be insolent," I quip in High Valyrian at the creature, lifting my head up to him with his hand, "I am here to help you."
I could feel my pulse quicken as I make my way to his side.
I decide it's enough that he has not yet killed me for getting this close to him.
"Calm yourself, boy," I mutter under my breath, as I reach up to the arrow on his side. The dragon does a clicking noise, and I do not have time whether to debate it is a warning or a cry for help.
Without another thought, I pull out the arrow with a grunt. The beast whines then withdraws a long breath. I turn to him as it cranes it neck to do the same to me I drop the arrow coated with his blood in front of him. I raise my hands, "it is done."
"CARAXES, DR-"
"Shut the fuck up."
So that's his name. Now who would be his rider?
I turn to Geralt, whimpering in annoyance and dread. I watch him dig his knee on the man's back as he pulls his arm behind him, causing him to yelp. Caraxes rises at the sight of his overcome rider, screeching just as the prince pants beneath my brother on the ground.
Geralt makes a face and shuts his eyes when dragon spit splatters on his face. He clenches his jaw and mutters, "lyriki, beast."
"You do not even know what that means," I retort, "and get off him."
"You do understand that the only reason why that thing hasn't killed us is because its rider is under my knee."
"FUCK OFF!" the said rider growls.
Caraxes responds to this with yet another ear piercing cry.
Through all this, I suddenly remember the name I was looking for, "Aemon! Aemon. Caraxes' rider is Aemon."
Geralt makes a face, realizing what I meant, "you're telling me this is Aemon Targaryen?"
"Well, do you see anyone else commanding the dra-"
"CARAXES-" breaks into a yelp.
"We are having a discussion," Geralt leans down as he growls.
"Geralt," I quip tightly, "get off him," I step closer to the both of them, "now."
The black of Geralt's eyes begin to fade once I am directly in front of him. I kneel down on his side and meet the telltale violet of the eyes of the prince. They narrow when they meet the violet hue of my own.
"You must forgive my younger brother for his insolence, my prince," I mutter as I swat Geralt by his thigh.
He rolls his eyes and finally gets of his captive, "ah yes, older sister," he mocks.
"Time is time and blood is blood," I retort as I eye him before helping the prince from where he laid.
"I remember," the Witcher mutters, "High Valyrian. An elective."
I smirk as I turn back at him, "one you did not take."
"Yes," he sighs as he stands, motioning to his side, "language of the dragons."
"Old Valyria," I correct as I help the prince, who was catching his breath, rolls over, "the Tar-
"Targaryen," he says, heaving, as he falls to his back. He reaches his hand out to me. I knit my brows at him as his fingers find my cheek.
Geralt looks down at him with contempt, lips curling in disgust, "watch your fingers, prince, or you might lose them."
I grunt, "I've quite had enough of you," I snap, rising to my feet. "You have been insufferable since we got here-"
"You're one to talk, little girl," Geralt eyes me darkly.
I crane towards his, "you do understand the consequences of-" I cut myself off when the prince stands to his feet. I change languages, "he is the prince of the seven kingdoms, heir to the throne."
"You whisper this to me as if I have ever cared, sister," he replies in Elder Speech.
"You should," Aemon responds as he looks between us.
We turn to him.
"You know Elder Speech?" I question, narrowing my brows.
He smirks at me, as he brushes his shoulder off, "an elective," he offers, "though I admit I only understood the word prince and guessed what you were saying." He tilts his head, "it seems my intuition has not failed me yet."
Geralt hums deeply and steps forward, "but it did when you misjudged me and allowed me an opening to strike you."
Aemon lifts his gaze upon my brother, whatever smirk that was on his face fades away.
"Enough!" I grunt, pushing them away with chaos.
A gush of wind rips between them.
My brother, who is used to it, steps back once, but the prince reels back and falls to his hind. I quickly extend my hand out to him and flash a guilty look, "apologies."
He looks at me for a moment before taking my hand, "Daemon."
"What?"
I pull him up as he repeats, "Prince Daemon, son of Prince Baelon, brother of Prince Aemon."
"Ah," I nod as I pull away from him. He steps forward when I do and watches me as I respond, "you are Aemon's nephew. His second rider. I will do well to remember, Prince Daemon."
"Indeed," he mutters with a soft smile.
I am pulled back by my arm and wind up crashing against Geralt's armor.
I look up at him he roughly swats the white streaks of my black hair away from my face that consequently was flying up to his because of the wind. He warns me in Nilfgaardian, "focus."
"Do not speak to me as though it is you who has a plan to get us out of this mess," I quip back in the same tongue.
"It would be easy to kill him and make it look like an accident."
I roll my eyes and shake my head.
"So, you are a witch," Daemon cuts in, making both of us turn to him.
"Witcher."
"Sorceress," I correct as I pull away from my brother.
"And what house do you belong to?" the prince asks, tenting his hands before him.
Just then, the dragon who we seemed to have forgotten, makes himself known and cries out to his master.
Daemon raises a dismissive hand and swats his away, sparing him only a second's glace. My brother and I watch as Caraxes huffs and rolls into himself, closing his eyes without another care.
Interesting.
"Kaer Morhen," I say, although questioningly, as I turn to my brother, "perhaps for me, I suppose, Aretuza."
"But Vesemir gave you your name as well."
"Yes, well, in that case, I do su-"
"And who are your parents?" Daemon interjects, tone less curious, and more impatient.
"Now that is the question indeed," Geralt grunts, then once again when I elbow him roughly.
"He's being serious."
"I know he's being serious, look at him."
"Why do you ask, prince?" I shake my head, stepping towards the said man.
Daemon examines me intently, so much so that, had I not been used to such scrutiny, I would have broken eye contact in discomfort. "Your eyes," he trails off as he peers down upon me, "are Targaryen's."
"Ah," my jaw drops. I find a chuckle leave me. "Much like his white hair is," I say, pointing to Geralt. I snort and slap a hand on his arm, "brother, you never told me we were secretly royalty."
He hums, nostrils flaring, "slipped my mind."
I chuckle to myself as I turn back to the prince. I watch as his jaw clenches and will my amusement to evaporate with my sigh, "tis not royalty that made our features so, prince Daemon, but the cruelty of magic. My own hair burns with white streaks because of his," I say.
"And what good is that knowledge to him?" Geralt makes a face as he turns to me.
"Well," I turn back to him, "he asked, did he not?"
"He did not ask you about your hair, any more than his dragon did."
"This is exactly why you have no friends."
"And you say that as though it is a bad thing."
"And you two are blood siblings?" Daemon cuts yet again.
We turn to him.
A moment passes.
The insinuation of the idea we could be anything else with our dynamic brings the familiar shiver down our spines.
"It gets no less revolting through time," Geralt mutters, "much less, knowing the traditions of his house."
I ignore his comment as I clear my throat, "twins, your grace, and I the el-."
Daemon ignores me, averting his attention to Geralt now, "you mention the traditions my house, and yet it seems you are unaware of how it is in my nature to seek satisfaction."
"Hmm," Geralt's brows quirk, "I would too, if my arse got handed to me."
I step in between them before Daemon could lunge. Because of this, I am trapped between the chests of the two hot headed blondes.
"Move," Geralt warns me, although his eyes do not leave Daemon.
"My prince," I ignore him, grabbing onto the fabric Daemon's arms, "you must forgive my baby brother."
Daemon dryly scoffs, eyes not leaving Geralt, "he'll have to get on his knees, my dear."
"You mean my soft belly-"
I shut him up with a gesture and heave, "it is a misunderstanding that we find ourselves in."
Daemon watches as Geralt struggles; he is unable to open his lips.
The prince's eyes finally turn back to me, they glimmer with mischief, "a misunderstanding, you say."
"I should like to treat you to a pint, if you would allow me the honor, so that I may... explain our predicament," I offer a soft smile. I feel my brother move from behind me, and so I shove him away with chaos, lest he shove me away to batter the prince in silence.
Daemon watches as Geralt propels back and hits a tree. By then, my incantation is lifted and so a string of curses leave his lips.
"That depends on whether or not your twin will be joining us."
"If you would prefer only one of us to drink with you, then I shall make it happen."
"Like hell, you would!"
"Then I will hear your explanation for this terrible altercation."

Strange, I have always thought it was spelled as Wasayago. But recently I've realized, I can't read very well.
I want to send appreciation today, to you.
You've taught me a lot about art. You've taught me a lot how to draw certain things, and you have opened my eyes to new perspective of art, ever since I started following you. Colours are brighter, I experiment more, I can see a specter of visuals that was previously hidden from me. It's like gaining shrimp colors.
Your art feels like an art classroom. There's sun pouring in from the windows, and there's tree leaves in front of them. Every time you come in you see different art projects. Paints add on to the tables, that will never scrub off again. There's dirty cups with paint water, and brushes, in the sink. It's lunch break, and there's people here. Some are just doing their math homework right before class, some are working on their sculpture, some are picking out paints, some are working on their new piece, on a fresh canvas. And it is so alive.
Your art feels so alive. Like the leaves, the people, the stains. It's really nice to see, every single time you post, how lovingly you bring a character into the world (My favorite so far is that one doodle of Modern au Gillion eating noodles, I have it in my favorites gallery).
I would like to see some unfinished, maybe forever to be so, doodles that you weren't especially proud of. We'll love it all.

im happy to know that you feel this way about my art, and im glad i could help you with some advice! it feels a bit weird to show unfinished or scrapped art under such a nice message, but yeah why not. and its funny that you mentioned the gillion eating noodles one, because its also one of the pieces that i really didn't like and didn't want to post hdgsh. i dont have that many unfinished drawings left because i delete or redraw most of them, but i have a couple that might be fun to share... and i guess it's gonna be a long post bc i wanna tell a little about each one or at least name them.
there's this art of chip, the first time i properly tried to figure out a way to draw him back when i just started listening. redrew this piece later, kept the sketch on the left, but the right one i changed completely because i didn't like the vibe this one has.
there's this attempt at redesigning caspian after i found out he was a water genasi, plus the first version of that art of caspian, pretzel and gill. this design didn't feel "caspian" enough, it looked too soft and kind where i wanted him to be more layed back and chill and sarcastic and with a bit of an edge. redrew both pieces later. the underwater drawing also has an unfinished background in this version, i added some fishies later so it didn't feel that empty.
some random sketch of gillion to show off how the lightning scars look on his face and neck. i quite like it, but it didn't really fit in the post with three proper drawings and one sketch so i decided to scrap it.
there's this drawing where i tried to figure out how the capital of the undersea looked like. i really didn't know where i was going with it and didn't have a good idea when i started drawing, so its a mess of things with nothing to really focus on. i tried to add a character on it later to breathe some life into it, but it didn't work out since i didn't focus it on the character from the beginning. plus i don't like how the colors turned out, and the entire concept of the environment feels weak and boring to me. i still want to draw more concepts of the undersea and try a couple other ideas, but probably at a later date...
the first version of whatever try it was to design gill's armor. (fun fact, i have more armor designs scheduled for tomorrow). this one i redrew almost immediately, i really didn't like how it turned out and how the legs were cut off and it looked so messy with no real accent point or personality. plus the smaller copy of the drawing in the corner just didn't look good. im not exactly proud of the redrawn version either (that's why i did another one yesterday lol), but im glad i redrew it anyway, it looks a lot better than this one.
the first sketch of that one gillion drawing. i couldn't figure out the colors for it for so long and wanted to drop the idea entirely. but i left it to sit for a couple hours and eventually got the motivation to come back to it and finish it. for most of the illustration pieces i did for jrwi there were multiple versions, where i just didn't like the first one and redrew the whole thing with a different composition and colors. didn't save any of those drawings tho...
this drawing of jay but with green wings and a slightly different color shirt. it was actually the first version of this drawing, and i changed the colors to blue later. wanted to post both of them side by side but then decided against it. that's why this drawing survived and was properly saved and not just deleted.
more recent attempts at designing the chaingel. i like the concept, and the pose in the second sketch is pretty badass, but the execution is just not there. it doesn't feel right, doesn't have the right kind of vibe that this character gives off. so im sure i will try and draw her later when i figure out what's missing and how to show her personality in the way it feels in my head. but these two sketches were never going to see the light of day, so now they're here.
aand this is it, this is everything that wasn't deleted in the past month for one or another reason. i feel like im more chill with deleting and redrawing things, so a lot of initial sketches and concepts never get saved or seen by anyone. im also on mobile so i can attach only ten files lol. not that it matters, the last two were just random figure drawings for warm up, not much to talk about.

I understand what you mean; your past experiences could make you very hesitant to do things even if you really want to do them and they are not harmful to anyone, or to have bad associations and even triggers. Figuring out your level of comfort also could be more difficult if you are still influenced by the consequences of those past experiences… Still, I think it’s wonderful that you want to work on that and to make yourself feel better and more comfortable, to clear things up for yourself – I don’t doubt for a moment that you will be able to handle it, even if it takes time.
Starting with little steps is great I think, it’s like dipping your toes before diving in.
I wish you all the luck and patience in the world.

Bittersweetness + disappointment, the feeling of tiredness, of cheating death, “a winner but at what cost” type of feeling. I could be completely wrong, of course.
Once again, I am not the best person to tie songs with characters, or at least I never dive too deep into it and don’t usually analyse lyrics, just do the “well if you squint” thing.

i honestly don't have a workspace LOLL all of my art is done on my ipad, so i just work on my lap on the couch or wherever. but no, my living room as a whole is not neat. i wish my sister and i were neat and organized people but alas we had no upbringing and function much like wild bears.
21. what do you think your art style would taste like?
maybe something that looks fancy at first glance but then you get into it and realize it's just domino's pizza with a side of cheetos and dr. pepper that was plated in a way to make it look like fine dining. but domino's, cheetos, and dr. pepper still taste good so it's fine, albeit a strange deceit.

i have a drawing from 2004 that i already redrew once in 2020, and i would love to paint once more because i have come a longass way since then. it'd be fun to compare two very anime styled drawings to a super realistic one.
i would also love to redo some of my old ink self-portraits because so many of them have been stolen, damaged, etc over the years and that kind of breaks my heart. i think i could make them look significantly better now anyway tho

yo! sure, yeah, id love to help ^^
i have made some progress, yeah. there's a lot of stylistic variations, but here's what's been most helpful to me :)
0. a lot of these mention speed - if you get too caught on something, it's likely to sap your motivation. also, i use frame-by-frame, not rigging, so some of these might not be helpful if you use rigging.
1. learn to accept mistakes.
perfectionism will slow you down. it's a little each frame, but that *adds up*. in a few second long animation, it may be fine. but if you're going for 15+ seconds, even into minutes, that can cost you hours to days to even months of progress, depending on the length. learn to accept minor mistakes, if you haven't already. you can always fix them later.
2. you dont have to redraw every single frame.
first, you can cut up an individual frame and move the parts of it. i draw characters art, and i cut up different bits of the arm when i wanna move it. second, you can warp a frame - stretch it, slant it, squish it, lots of things. you can also slide them around on the screen. third, you can reuse a frame. that's one you have to experiment with a bit, seeing where it's helpful for you and where it isn't.
3. do one thing at a time.
if you've just sketched a frame, dont move onto lining it, sketch the next one. if you get bored with one step but still wanna work on the animation, that's when you switch to the next. getting into a rhythem can help you enjoy the work more and let it go by faster.
4. stretch!
if you wanna animate, you have to take care of your body. it's fairly easy to find stretches online, look up "stretches for artists/animators" or "stretches to avoid carpel tunnel", and walk around a couple minutes every hour you've been seated. if you don't, that strain will add up, and you can cause or worsen chronic pain in yourself.
5. check your progress every so often.
if you ever wanna see your current progress, go for it! it can help you stay motivated and show you want you like and dislike about your animation so far. to do this, put in a few frames of your animation and time them properly. put them together like they should be in the final piece. watch this back whenever you like :) it's a great way to give yourself a little reward for all your hard work!
6. watch videos on animation from other artists.
plenty of people share their tips. i've learned a lot by going on youtube and searching "animaton tips". you can also play this in the background while you animate, if you'd like. i always like having something to listen to, myself, and it can help me a lot to have it be related to the art i'm making.
i reccomend doodley and lavendertowne, personally :)
7. animate for you.
remember, if there's anything you don't wanna do, you don't have to. make what you enjoy making, not just what you think others would wanna see. if you end up sharing your animations, which you don't have to do, you will find your audience. do what you enjoy, skill will come to you along the way. :)

2023 art review!
Even if this year wasn't the biggest on art, due to my physical condition (especially in last couple of months), it would still be nice to look back on what i did as an artist throughout it!
This is gonna be a fun ride...
So, let's dive straight into it, shall we?
Continuation under the cut
January
2023 started on a high note, with me just having finished the King piece, and moving on to the next big thing, being an AvA3/5 double piece.
Sadly, during the process i messed up big time which led to me being unable to finish the piece the way i wanted to, rendering this project an eternal WIP. However, i still cherish the idea and do wish to either redraw, or complete it.
February
Doing 2 big projects one after another did end up affecting my overall drive, so i spent majority of that month just making sketches.
First one is a little redraw/redesign of my old character - Derek, whom i used for a roleplay with my friends like 3 or 4 years ago, and second one is Deach, a character from my fantasy setting.
Also, back then i joined a new fandom, people in which have reminded me of my admiration for SCP, after which me and my friends proceeded to make OCs for it. Was a fun time! (Also this access card was sold by me as a YCH, sadly i couldn't really find buyers, so yikes)
March
By march is slowly started recovering from january's disappointement and was a bit more productive already. One of my friends really helped with it too.
A musician friend of mine reached out to me, asking to develop a design for a villain character in the plot he was working on. After listening to the theme song i couldn't resist. This ended up being one of my favorite designs so far, and i adore its look in neon.
In the meantime, i kept working on my fantasy setting, refining more minor details of designs and stories, yet having to reserve only to making sketches as i was too busy with college and other projects. Characters you see on screen are Ian and Lanfor respectfully. One is a strong yet troubled mage and other is a great Emperor, and even better person.
April
I'd say april was one of the most productive months of this year, mostly because i managed to snatch some time for myself and my setting, which allowed me to complete two full pieces and achieve some extreme progress with my story.
This piece is an illustration to a scene i wrote for two of the characters, Lanfor and Emile, called "Night Visitor". This was a scene of a reunion of two old friends. A bittersweet, yet a lovely work. Love both the written one as well as the illustration.
This one was more of a... Proof of concept. Needed to test out the expresiveness of the design for one or a relatively new characters - Covlar. Was originally a simple sketch on paper, but i couldn't resist the urge of making it into a complete illustration. I then proceeded to make a few notes for this scene. Both want to write it properly and avoid it at all cost... Best to avoid it, for my own sanity.
May
May was a bit of trainwreck, because i got a brand new laptop, which took me quite some time to get used to and even more time to reassure myself that it is in fact alright for me to draw on this suspicioiusly thin piece of tech.
Ironically enough, the only vomplete piece i drew that month was drawn on my old laptop. This screenshot redraw was to made to honour the premiere of AvA6 ep.1. Sadly, i did it a bit late because fo technical issues, but i still had a ton of fun doing it.
June
June was... Chaotic, to say the least. Mostly because i finally got comfortable with the new laptop and could now draw a lot more freely due to it being a lot more compact than the original one, which worked almost like a PC. Besides, i got a ton more free time because semester finals ended up being a breeze.
Ended up making a ton sketches and doodles, that i didn't actually plan to finish, but still enjoyed a ton. Here are some of them
Then, ofc, the memes and the gand redesign, because AvA6 just had to break all of my portrayals. But, i mean, after AvM s3 my original designs did become a bit dated.
The biggest pride and saddest of failures was this picnic piece, however. I still plan on finishing it, but it is hard doing so, when i have changed quite a bit of my artstyle by now.
July
July was quite lazy. Semester ended and i spent that entire month out of the city. It was a great time, very peaceul indeed.
And again, that musician friend from before came into clutch, asking me to develop another design for his other project. And again a villain. He said he really liked how i draw bastard type of characters.
August
Well this is where fun began. End of summer break means i have just this much time to actually draw something i would never have time to draw normally.
For me to draw something to commemorate a new episode is almost like a tradition at this point. And, given how long it's been since i made anything that would require effort, no wonder i have chosen arguably the most complex piece to pull off energy-wise. Yet i did and now i simply adore this piece, even if it did render me disabled. (I crunched through all of this piece, pulling off 40+ hours of work in just 4 days, so naturaly it ended up worsening my condition by a lot)
Then i also proceeded to do all of these tiny side projects, like Victim ask, which i couldn't last long at due to my condition, and working on a design for my favourite streamer. (Which i cannot show as the work is not complete an it's best if i avoid spoilers)
September and October
These two months i spent being unable to draw at all via a doctor's advice. Arguably, these two were the hardest months for me to handle.
I assume you can imagine how hard it is to suddenly stop being able to do what you love, regardless of how much you wish to do it.
Novemer
*Nervous laughter* I... actually still wasn't allowed to use my hand, but that didn't stop me and i ended up making an entire series of sketches to celebrate AvA6 ep2.

I will admit, i still adore all of these sketches and each of them deserves to become a fully fledged piece in it's own right, but i really better keep them as they are. For my own safety.
December
As you way have expected, this month will stay without a single thing from me. It's not because i don't want to, but because i can't. And, given the circumstance, it better stay that way.
Afterword
I finally got my diagnosis and soon enough i will start active treatment for my condition. It would be a shame to make this worse than it already is with impulses like those that happened in november, so i am making this post as a way to draw a line for myself.
It is still kinda crazy to realize that there are quite a few people interested in what i make, so i will make sure to take my recovery as responcible as possible, and then come back to you with even more art in the upcoming year! Let's be positive about it.

1. When did you start creating art?
For as long as I can remember! I think I was scribbling stuff since I was as young as 3, I remember my parents putting my Sailor Moon fanart (if you could even call it that) up on the wall LOL. I have memories of sitting on the floor in the living room and drawing while the adults talked. Though later on I took many long breaks because life happened, sometimes as long as months to years. Thankfully I'm regaining my love & motivation for it this year so I'm hoping to keep it up! (Thank you Jamil Viper 😌)
3. What are your favorite subjects to draw? (OCs, your fan faves, etc.)
I love drawing OCs! Not just my own but other people's as well because I love the creativity & heart that goes into them. Fanart was actually a difficult thing to bring myself to draw for a long time, because I struggled with feeling like I could never capture my faves' properly (basically placing too many expectations on myself OTL). In general I really enjoy drawing faces/expressions for any character I get my hands on www
8. How would you describe your art style?
In terms of vibes I think mine's like... soft and gentle, I've had friends describe it to taste like cake or like soda. I'd also consider it "deceptively simple" because I have a simple colouring style, but I invest a lot of effort into studying the character down to the smallest detail, making sure the anatomy is correct, redrawing things until I'm satisfied, etc. which is why I'm so horribly slow to make anything 💀. It's the curse of being a perfectionist but I.. I think it pays off...? 😭

Not on good terms already (SBP au) (Kintokugo district arc) (KNY s4 redraw)
Uhhhhh, actually, if we're talking chronologically, he's too young for Tamayo XDDD This is obviously not a ship, BTW
Wow, been a while since I touched up on this au, huh? Don't worry, it's still going strong! I just only have so many ideas for it RN
Would ya'll believe me if I told you this was my first ever time drawing Yushiro? & he actually turned out so fucking good
So, this moment takes place at the very, VERY end of the Kintokugo district arc in the au. Zero is already dead & defeated properly, & Astaroth, Kokushibo, & Taro all head to Tamayo's to explain what happened. During this, Taro brought Minato with him & explained how he would want him to stay there until he finds a new home for his father to stay in out of that stupid district. Mostly due to that concealment spell adding an extra layer of protection since he can only do so much for his age Tamayo thinks it's a great idea, much to Minato's embarrassment & Yushiro's chagrin
Minato, obviously being a split copy of his son, is all flustered from someone as beautiful & generous as Tamayo & Yushiro is staring holes into him, hence the moment of this redraw Hey, Taro had to get it from one of his parents. Might as well be his father, since his mother was more brash & stubborn than Minato, but that's an entire story in of it itself

Software Pūmanawa Object Creation
Today I am working on creating an object for my homework task. I chose to create my favourite Pokemon: Oshawott.

I chose this character because its shape includes a lot of curves, which is something i wanted to work on.
Here is the original image I want to recreate:
I began by drawing and perfecting its shape:

I began with drawing the outline of the character's head using the Pen tool and bezier curves (I forgot to document much of this as I was too focused)

I then smoothed out the lines and this was the first full body outline:

I then went on to fill the body when I encountered my first issue, I had too many broken points in my shape, and no matter how I joined them later on, they would not join properly, leaving my fill to look like this:

I was enraged. I realised that this was the case for many of the lines I had drawn and decided it was easier to redraw the shape and put it behind the outline for colouring. This way it would be easier later on for me to add gradients and more shapes for highlights. (I am not sure if this was the case, I think I overcomplicated it, but at the time I thought it was easier that way).
Here are examples of me redrawing many areas of my character.

Here was my finished man body colour tucked away behind the outline layer:

I then began adding details to my character on the shell to make the character look more 3d:

Then using the ellipse shape tool, I added the eyes and nose of the character:
I added in extra points to get the exact warped oval I was going for

I then drew the mouth and freckles of my character. I rounded off the corner using the corner tool to give it a softer mouth shape.

My character now looked like this:
I then added feet details of the toes:

Then I started to add gradient colouring details to my character as I was happy with the base of the drawing. I started by adding a shadow shape to the belly:

I played around with the gradient tool and found out how I could create a natural looking gradient that did not have a sharp edge to it. I turned down the transparency so the shape would blend with the body colour. This was a new tool I was experimenting with.

I then played around with gradients of the actual shape instead of adding an extra shape for the shadow, I created a singular gradient which I dragged onto my swatch board, then applied it to the tail, feet and ears at slightly different angles using the angle settings.

I then moved onto the detailing of the face. I explored Feathering options and Blur options for my shapes, as I wanted a softer feel on the eyes and nose. I eventually decided on using the Gaussian Blur tool to create a "cuter" and softer look for my character. I also used the transparency options to create a more natural blend of the shape into the character. These were new tools that I used and discovered.

I added extra blush to the cheeks by creating an ellipse using the shape tool, then blurring the shape using the same Gaussian Blur tool.

I then wanted to add a shadow to my character's face, I did so using the gradient tool again, this time creating another softer light blue gradient to create a 3D rounded effect.
