i know we make fun of aatwt here but it is legitimately so fucking funny how SCANDLIZED them and their tiktok friends get about shingou. theyre like THATS SUCH A FUCKED UP SHIP WAAAAHHHH WHY WOULD YOU LIKE THAT and its like hello? hello??? defense/prosecution? the thing we do here? doomed lovers? one of them literally fucking killed the other? what is more homoerotic than watching the fucking life fade from the eyes of your nemesis? watching his blood spill onto his lapel and stain his clothes and know it was your hand that did it? the fucking shoulder bullet? the physical weight of your dead lover, who you killed, staying there behind flesh and bone for fifteen years, until your own demise? haunting you? paining you? poisoning you?

all right, let's talk about some rejected* ideas from boba au's chapter 4. (big spoilers ofc)

yakou, as we know, is a very sad man. secretly plotting to unalive himself for revenge.

but in this au, pucci catches him, right?

she can't wrap her head around his selfish motivations. sure, his wife was important to him when she was alive, but now she's not, so why is she still important? pucci doesn't think the revenge would be worth the suicide. but yakou is a firm believer in the Core Tenets Of Marriage (and considers seppuku to be one of them)

*this is for not what will end up happening in the actual boba au ch4. but from here on out... i will probably still use some of the ideas below, so if you want to be totally surprised when i post the whole thing this summer, turn back now.

after the gang reunites, yuma interrogates yakou, who confesses everything, even the extent of his murderous rage.

mystery labyrinth happens in which yuma uses whatever leftover evidence he can to prove dl6 dr huesca was responsible for yakou's wife's death. yuma reaps huesca's soul... and when he leaves the labyrinth, yakou is still alive!

AND AFTER ALL THAT HARD WORK THEY PUT INTO SAVING HIM HE DIES ANYWAY

i would love an ace attorney game that's like various assorted cases that either have characters we know already or have heard about. i'd love to play through the dl-6 trial. i'd love to see more of mia's trials. perhaps a trial or two with diego as the lead defense attorney. i know a number of these (especially dl6) happened before the thing where it was like "surprise, idiot! you have three days!" but they did is-7 right. i dont know if they showed the first half of the trial (in 2000) in game but.

maybe a kazuma mock trial? i dont know. he can be there. as a treat. i know he never actually got the chance to do a real trial as a defense attorney but

anyway phoenix should be mia's weird little girl and mia should be diego's actual legal counsel

hi here are some thoughts about no-dl6, lets hope i have all my facts right

if dl6 never happened then misty wouldve never gone missing because gregory couldn’t be channeled considering he was alive, which means misty would’ve never gone missing, which means mia wouldve never tried to search for her mother. in this scenario we’ll say she never became a defense attorney. in that case, phoenix would be under some other defense attorney, probably miles. miles would be a defense attorney also lol. Phoenix gets aquited, etc etc. 

In the meanwhile, franziska would turn out more arrogant considering she never fought for attention with miles. though she would’ve also never had a brother and thus someone to relate to. Godot would still be diego in this scenario because he was never involved with mia and never shadowed her in the terry fawles case. Klavier would be largely unchanged I believe. Simon would be the only component to the dark age of the law considering phoenix was never disbarred. idk about nayuta im not that far yet.

Apollo would still be under kristoph, and never work under phoenix. I’m not sure what athena would be doing, but shes probably still be in europe. Trucy would never be adopted by phoenix. Zak gramerye would likely have still disappeared to avoid a sentence, and trucy would be in a orphanage or something. 

dahlia would be off killing other people because mia and diego were never involved. Probably. also kay and sebastian wouldve never met miles :( probably lol. Thats all i can think of i hope you enjoyed lol <3

Rough ideas for depressed feenies story

-edgeworth came back much later in the timeline which makes it so he was never accused of murder and as such that case never happened

-since Phoenix was living with Edgeworth and Gregory at the time of the dl6 incident Phoenix witnessed it instead of Edgeworth

-the dl6 incident happened later than it did in the original time line but instead of Gregory dying he was accused of the murder of yani yogi and put in jail

-later in life Phoenix tells mia that he witnessed von karma kill yani yogi and mia gets him put in jail and Gregory is released

-ray shields took care of Phoenix during those years since Phoenixs family was dead murdered right in front of him and Gregory was in jail

-edgeworth and Phoenix stayed in touch for a bit while Edgeworth was in Germany but quickly lost contact

-phoenix never became a defense attorney instead he's a court room artist

-larry died in an accident during high school

-phoenix adopted two twin boys that were apparently left there by a german prostitute who'd had a fling with Edgeworth

-drake wright has ADHD

-Gregory wright is autistic

-phoenix crushes on Edgeworth hardcore and wishes Edgeworth would fuck him like he did the German prostitute

-phoenix has Gregory hide his grey hair so he isn't reminded of Edgeworth so much in the day he cries constantly

-edgeworth only returns to the us after Phoenix had worked in the court for two years

-gumshoe loses his badge as a detective after Damen gant was proven guilty of murder

-gumshoe often fills in a baby sitter role for phoenix when its needed since the guys a big loveable teddy bear

-gumshoe also protects those kids with his life

-phoenix has a soft spot for all kids and used to volunteer with orphanages

-phoenix got his emotional support cat a year after it was learned he was suicidal which was a year before the dl6 incident

-gregory and drake came into Phoenixs life 2 years after the dl6 incident

-dl6 happened when Phoenix was fifteen

-edgeworth sent phoenix a blue sweater which he now wears constantly as a gift for Christmas

-larry gave phoenix a steam punk bunny mask that larry had made himself for Christmas that year and now phoenix wears it constantly

-phoenix dyed some of his hair light blue when he was in his first year of depression

-absentee edgeworth misses phoenix a lot but he fears that phoenix won't want to see him at all

-absentee edgeworth wishes he could fuck phoenix like he did that German prostitute

-phoenix is still a virgin when Edgeworth returns because phoenix only wanted edgeworth

-most of the people who know both Gregory Edgeworth and Gregory wright call the young one greg or by his middle name Laurence

-drakes full name is drake steel wright

-phoenix is a little emotionally unstable

-phoenix has a sister who lives in germany who he's never met

-von karma was two minutes away from being shot by phoenix after calling the twins ugly

-phoenix sometimes when he has trouble getting through one more day will snuggle with the twins in an effort to comfort himself

-phoenix has tried to kill himself a few times once by cutting, once by hanging, and once by overdose

-phoenix has trouble remembering that people outside his kids love him

You guys know DL6 incident right?

Well...

What if instead of Shooting Gregory, Von Karma took the opportunity to take something from him just like he took his perfect record?

That's right, what if Manfred Von Karma shot Miles?

Gregory would never forgive himself, more over, he would turn into a Prosecutor, why? The guy that was with him that was supposedly innocent took away his son, his pride and joy, the one thing he valued the most in his life.

But wait! You ask, how would Phoenix get into this? How does he fit?

No problem for i have a solution.

I have a headcanon that Phoenix wasn't that close with his parents compared to Miles and his own father, so when Turnabout Goodbye happens where Gregory is finally found innocent for both the murder of Robert Hammond and of his own son, finally unmasking Von Karma's true colors, Gregory would see his own son in Phoenix, think about it, Miles would always say he wanted to be a defense attorney like his dad, so seeing such young and energetic Defense Attorney would reminded him of his son, thus he "adopts" Phoenix and treats him as his own child, filling the hole in Nick's heart where his parents should be.

That would mean that Gregory wouldn't fake his own death, maybe he would just leave and assist Phoenix in some cases like Mia did and only come back in the final case.

That would also mean that Ace Attorney investigations would be all about Gregory and Raymond, maybe he would be the one that meets Kay and all of that, but i don't know at this point.

Anyway, what do you guys think?
