psa about blog stuff

so, i've been considering some stuff about how i want to treat my blog going forward, and i want to put it all down so that people know what to expect out of me! i'm not bored of rp or anything like that, i just want to be a bit more organized and straightforward with how i handle everything. so!

this blog will permanently run on a queue. i know some people perceive that as lazy idk but for me it helps preserve my sanity. if that isn't your thing that's fine i'm not gonna force you stick around, but just know that even if replies are queue'd, it doesn't mean i'm less interested in our plots. sometimes i'll post / answer stuff in real time still, but at least for threads, it's easier on me if it's in a queue. also, since i'm putting more focus into streaming starting next week, it helps keep activity rolling on my blog even when i'm not able to be around due to said streaming or my irl job

asks are the best way to interact with me. i'm always open to asks and usually answer those the fastest. you can spam me with as many as you like i don't care, i love asks. also: if i ever answer an ask you want to turn into a thread, do it. i love it. seriously. if we write a lot together or talk a lot, you can expect i'll probably send frequent asks your way too ( with your permission ofc )

i probably won't post starter calls anymore. so yeah, again, asks are gonna be the best way to start things w/ me. i'll like starter calls from mutuals tho if i see them

i will be prioritizing pre-established / plotted stuff over all else. it's easier for me to respond to. ofc i'll still happily do spontaneous things, it just might not be as quick. if we talk a lot ooc or chat / plot frequently, it's likely i'll reply to our stuff quicker. i give pretty much the same kind of energy i receive :> but i'm also clinically insane so FDLAKJGHD

i will also be prioritizing shorter threads as well. i'm talking 4-5 small paragraphs or less. long stuff drains me a lot. i'm not saying i won't do longer things, but just know you will be waiting longer for responses to those. i'm sure that won't be a problem but yanno, just in case, it's important to be transparent about that stuff. i LOVE my 3k word threads but also it might take me 3 weeks to respond to it LMAO

if i write a specific character you're interested in, just tell me. likewise, if there's a ship of any kind you want, ( romantic, platonic, family, enemies, etc. ) you can say it. i'm not gonna bite you i promise. ♥ actually, doing that helps me gauge your interest and helps give me ideas for how we can interact

i might trim down my follower count. nothing personal, but if there's been little to no engagement on my posts then i'll take it as a lack of interest and probably sb. you're always free to refollow if i made a mistake! i've never really? had to hardblock anyone? except for a couple of weirdos, but those were far and few in between. if i decide to trim my following, i'll make a post to gauge interest for who wants to stay

i'm pretty much gonna keep writing when i feel like writing and not pressure myself so i don't get burnt out.

I know Andrew doesn't interfere with Kevin and Neil fighting because he has a crush on Neil but it's also a little funny yo assume that his pets can fight eachother butoneone can fight them (NOT like siblings, but also like siblings: I can make fun of my brother but a random does it and it's fight time)

I never quite got why Neil thought the happy birthday message was from Riko, even my first read I figured it was his dad/ his ppl

I can imagine that is reinforcing Andrew's low self esteem? (Idk) but also like kinda nice, like whether or not they will say the word friends they are and Andrew's crush didn't change that

I remember being confused and concerned my first read when Neil was kidnapped only 1/2 way through the boom (my kindle says 58%) - I mean I'm glad cuz then you actually get to see the fallout but I remember worrying how long was Neil going to be there? (I also remember being like oh fuck. He's really gonna die isn't he)

....I don't have any specific reading disabilities but any character with the same starting letter I sometimes confuse. Aaron and Andrew get mixed up sometimes but at least the shape of their names is different enough that it doesn't happen often. Nathan and Nathaniel tho.... ya I'm reading every sentence twice to make sure I'm reading the right name....

I do enjoy when we don't wait for the villain speech and just interpret them with violence (Page 266)

I imagine Nathaniel's manic laughing at the end looked and sounded a lot like medicated Andrew... (Page 268)

Idk why but the scene around Andrew prepping Neil for the shower always confuses me. Not in a "oooh what" but just in a "having a problem following the plot" way... (Page 307)

Andrew "I'm not taking in any more refugees." (Page 341) LOL actually doesn't he? (I haven't actually read most of the extra content but he takes in Robin, right?) Also could u imagine Andrew taking in all of Riko's "perfect court" It would be madness (Also kinda funny cuz Neil would flip between "mom" and "sibling" to Jean and Kevin depending on the situation)

I like the idea that post Nathaniel Neil is more like Andrew than anyone expected. Like, he's got more of a dead neutral face and doesn't pull punches when talking (or hide the violent thoughts he has)

I don't remember where I read it (maybe it was one of the extra bits or something?) But it said that Andrew hates women and I just don't think that's right. I think he generally hates everyone and doesn't trust anyone easily but I don't think that's gendered in anyway (his history would more likely say he hates men, I think, but I don't think he thinks of it that way)

So ages are: Jean (who is a current junior), Kevin and Riko ( who are sophomores? Maybe they are also juniors?) Then Neil (who is a freshman)

I actually haven't read this one before, some because I needed a break for the mafia vibes, some because I didn't realize that it was Jean's story and not Neil's (which is fine but when ur not expecting it...), and some because I read the first chapter and found Jean very annoying..... but based on some fanart I've seen maybe he will be less annoying and be more sad hurt boi (look internal angst is my jam)

Yeah we don't know a lot but here's what we do know:

Sarcean was an important member of the Sun Court

When in the parade he makes a snark commentary about how the Sun Court wins may be celebrated in the light but are all won in the dark (shady

The first time that Sarcean and the Lady met she's talking about the Dark General in third person but like let's be honest for a second here how many pale hot white guys with long dark heir in dark armour do you think there were walking around the Sun Palace?? Bet you she was playing dumb

When Sarcean was called back to the palace by the Lady there was mentions of a mob, I myself am very pro mob

In that same scene when she accuses him he says something like "is that what you were told?", well if that line doesn't make you believe that there's more to it I don't know what will

He wanted to be trapped and he's loyal to those who help him, but apparently his plan to getting out was being helped, bet he made it thinking anharion would be the one to do it

There's a collar that in theory takes alway anharion/james free will, even tho we were in his mind when it went on and it didn't go completely blank we have to assume it does something, what does it do??

Sarceans power is in theory control and death, and he used it the meanest way possible, or so we're told, but the Light did win and the winner always gets to write hystory so we don't actually know what's true and what isn't

He did kill everyone in the Sun Court but Visander and the Lady, even tho we don't know hes motive (I'm assuming he has one) it's still kinda drastic don't you think?

He can make weapons and use the mark but we never saw him wielding the shadows (he may be able, but also he may not be

Will has no acess to his power but he gets things done cause he's smart and charismatic, even tho they paint the dark king as someone who could only gets things done when controlling people I bet part of his powers came from those qualities as well, we've seen Will using the mark, it drains him, he couldn't possibly control everyone all the time

Sinclair presents the mark as a ceremony, as a reward, when it would be easier to just brand people by force what maybe tells us that it has to be willing

Anharion was the one to say "I will always find you" maybe the obsession goes both ways???? Besides james remember the feel of him and, as far as he let us know, it's not like bad

Now its just an hypothesis but sarcean may only be able to use his powers through objects (and yes I'm putting the reborns and the returners as objects to make a point sue me), that's the reason of the mark, and the cup, and the collar. I mean why make a fucking cup that turns people to shadow if you could just do it yk (here comes in the acceptance again, people have to be willing to drink), and like maybe, just maybe, the collar also allows james/anharion to use his magic (as in sarcean's) in a more weaponized way??? As in he can use it without draining himself, kinda borrowing it

We also know sarcean's fine as fuck, so far that has been very relevant to the plot since he fucked basically anyone of the old world we know by name

Something I keep forgetting is Will is Sarcean but hey Sarcean is also Will, and even tho we don't know a lot about the former we just spent two books in Will's head, that being said maybe Sarcean killed the whole Sun Court as some king of vengeance for someone he loved/was loyal too, that's like a super Will move

GOD I absolutely agree re:werewolf tropes, especially in romance. I want to read so many werewolf books, but So Many play into pack dynamics/violent werewolf bf/etc etc tropes that it feels nigh impossible to find something that will Hit for me specifically. Do you (or anyone who stumbles upon this) have any recs for werewolf media? Particularly that which is outside of romance as the main plot/genre? (Nothing against romance as a whole, I just don't tend to enjoy it when it's the main focus of a story)

god yeah im the exact same, its why i usually end up gravitating more towards horror werewolves cause at least then i dont normally have to worry about weird alpha boyfriend tropes lol. But that means i dont really have too many media recommendations! I'll put a couple thoughts under the read more, but if anyone has any recs, feel free to reply below 🙏

i don't have any book recommendations bc i havent read a real book in years so most of this will be movies/shows/comics

Being Human (US) is really good in a lot of places (one of my absolute favorite werewolf designs), but the last season really falls into a bunch of those werewolf bullshit tropes so i pretend it doesnt exist lol. i think the good bits outweigh the stupid though! I have also watched the UK version and its. not bad. i just didnt really get into it idk.

The Order 1886 barely feels like a werewolf game even though it is for sure a werewolf game lol. i would recommend just watching a playthru tho cause the gameplay is pretty much nothing but the plot and characters are very cool!!!!

Uhhhh everyone knows van helsing which is an objectively just an ok movie but the werewolves and vampires go so hard i have to like it. Dog Soldiers is also a fun campy flick, and i enjoyed werewolves within but thats more of a mystery than a genuine werewolf movie. Annndddd i did actually like the wolf man 2025 like. its gonna piss a lot of werewolf fans off i think and i know why people dont like it but i think the ideas and themes it presents are really interesting to me specifically! so idk if the individual werewolf enjoyer will like it in the same way i did but i will recommend it if u like werewolves that really lean into the disease/virus aspect of it.

Wilde Life is a webcomic that i really enjoy that is.... werewolf adjacent. I wouldnt really call Cliff a werewolf, more of a shapeshifter, but they sometimes call him a werewolf so its close enough for me to mention it and theres lots of other cool critters and scary bits to make the comic worth recommending.

I dont think Prague Race (webcomic) is officially available anymore but that also had some fun werewolves in it. You can probably find an archive of it if you google the name (the artist's new comic, 'tiger, tiger' is also very good but has nothing to do with werewolves lol)

How to be a werewolf is another webcomic that does do a bunch of the pack dynamic trope but the characters are charming and has some romance but it isn't the primary plot, its more about family than anything. and a female werewolf main character is always a plus!

ok literally this is so niche and i probably shouldnt even bother mentioning it but i have sat on this fic for literally 8 years now and it makes me so sad the author never finished it but. one of the only werewolf fanfics ive ever read that i really clicked with was an overwatch hanzo/cassidy fic called 'spurs don't pair with scare chords' and i need to put it here bc its the platonic ideal of a werewolf fic with a well paced romance that isn't the major intrigue point. its my white whale of a fanfic and it being unfinished haunts me. i wish overwatch was good

- Donnie is fluent in Japanese (from Splinter), but when he meets other people who speak other languages, he immediately wants to learn it for "research purposes."

- When Donnie noticed Leo getting into medical stuff when they were younger, he also did research on medical training and all that with him so he could assist him (and to be more independent when it came to his own injuries due to how often things go wrong in his lab)

- HUGE bug lover. Was a lot more chatty and open about it when he was younger. He would collect a few and just have a field day studying them. He doesn't show it often anymore, but he still likes bugs (let's be real, bro is one)

- He's pretty grumpy and sarcastic. He kind of always was a bit shy and distant, but that definitely grew into an 'interesting' personality when he got older. Some think it's due to lack of sleep. Some think it's just him going through one of those teenage phases. Some think it's from losing some old friends. No one really knows because he won't open up about his feelings and tell anyone. Not even Mikey has been able to break that wall down

- Has an ego as well, just isn't as annoying about it as Leo (though still can be a bit annoying about it)

- Has outbursts at times when frustrated or irritated. He tries not to, but it can get overwhelming at times

- Definitely has a bit of the tism. He's somewhere on the spectrum

- Not the biggest fan of physical touch. He does have a few exceptions, and there are a select few people, like April, who don't really need permission to initiate touch. (meeeee)

- He has his moments where he shows genuine care for someone but will most likely immediately brush it off like it's nothing

- Had a brief fictional crush on a male cartoon character when he was around 11 years old (bisexual awakening lol)

- LOVES when people show interest in the things he makes. Especially when it's from someone he's close to. He won't be open about his reaction, but he's giggling and clapping his hands on the inside

- Most of the things he drinks is caffeinated. He does drink water, but it's like 50/50

- Tries to rely on tech because he isn't confident in his ability to fight. He is a great fighter, but in some battles (depending on the enemy), he gets a little scared and doesn't think he'll be able to defeat whoever it is on his own (for example, mutants bigger and stronger than he is)

- May act emotionless, but sometimes his emotions peak through. Especially deeper into the plot, he tries to get more in touch with his feelings. He'll never fully be able to, but he tries

- A but insecure about his scar. The skin there is a bit rougher, and it can irk him a bit. He occasionally is seen itching at it when nervous or when the skin there just feels uncomfortable. He tries not to, and he never breaks skin (mostly), but he can't help it sometimes.

- Can also be insecure about his gap tooth. It's natural and he doesn't like it. He thinks it makes him look weird at times (I LOVE GAPS IN TEETH THO! THEY'RE SO CUTE)

- Occasionally feels useless when he can't do something right. In his mind, he's supposed to do everything right and know everything because he's the smart one of the group. He's often reassured by others, but those thoughts still stick with him

MORTAL KOMBAT 1 Thoughts Pt1.

I've been waiting for this for such a long time and we finally got it. Now with MK1 being practically a full reboot, A LOT of changes are to follow. So here are my current thoughts in order how the story went:

Chapter 1

Kung Lao and Raiden being practically brothers is my fave thing in the world.

Half of the MK1 boys are full on babygirl and honestly? I love that for them. Except for Shang Tsung because that feels very much illegal.

That last scene with Madam Bo felt like a fcking fever dream.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN KUAI LIANG IS SCORPION? WHAT THE FCK DO YOU MEAN?? WHERE IS HANZO?? That feels very wrong. Only Hanzo is allowed to say "gET OVER HERE" that is HIS iconic line. I'm not sure if I like this change.

I KNEW the boys were pulling their punches. I KNEW IT. The entire fight felt so awkward and staged. For a short moment I legit thought NRS pushed down on their fighting animation.

Chapter 2

Sooo...Johnny is a failed Actor now? What happened to the glamour? That's not very Cage behavior.

Okay but I love love LOVED Liu Kang literally showing up in front at Johnny's Door all serious, and Johnny being Johnny.

What made NRS choose to paint Kenshi as a former Yakuza?? I mean the idea isn't too bad, because it would make sense for him to be searching for Sento to free his family. But I still prefer his revenge timeline more. Hell, even him being a cocky arse warrior trying to fight anyone and everyone made more sense.

Chapter 3

Idk why but I half expected Kano to show up in this chapter. The trailers made it look like he was at the Wu Shi academy

Liu Kang practically pathed the way for human Raiden to be champion and it shows. I'd like to think it's out of respect for former God Raiden from before, who practically raised Liu Kang and was a father figure to him.

General Shao is so fine, I can't. He was hot before, but now he's so....so..... y'know?

Liu Kang really wanted to give Kitana the loving Fam she deserved qwq

Everyone is so mean to Li Mei :(( I feel so bad for her

Chapter 4

Johnny and Sonya are forever iconic...but Johnny and Kenshi? I didn't know I needed it until I had it. Their bickering is GOLD. They're so married.

Props to Quan Chis new look. He looks like a clown escaped asylum. Very uncanny.

Are they...are they trying to redeem Shang Tsung? No,that would be way too obvious. Plus that intro scene with Krusty Kronika makes it super sus.

KENSHIS BLINDFOLD WAS PART OF JOHNNYS ARMOR. Y'all NRS knew what they were doing. I am eating this up

I adore Reptiles human form. Very baby girl, very cute.

So if Tarkat is transmitted via physical contact, wouldn't that mean that the guys would have it too when they fought the prisoners in this chapter? You even see Johnny react in Chapter 4 to that fact when Baraka told them. Could it be that it's not infectious since they're clones/experiments?

So help me out here... Baraka is strong enough to rip the cages open that seem to be made of the same metal as their cell door, but failed to open that? Plot, I know, but c'mon.

REPTILE IS EVEN MORE BABY OMGGGGG. Pls let me hold him,, poor baby boy,, his sadness is literally tugging at my heart strings.

I love how honorable Baraka is. This is great character improvement. For a beast (visually) to be showing mercy. It's like he accepts who he is now but still holds onto that human (edenian) side of him.

Stopping here for tonight, but will continue tomorrow. So far it's going great but I have a hard time remembering which of some stories in this timeline are kept the same as from the previous timeline.

I'm still pleasantly overwhelmed by the amount if babygirls.

So yesterday i was rambling to my friends about the graphic novel since I didn't want to spoiler anyone at first(i didn't know how to do the spoiler text here yet, I do now)

4. Vlad's redemption, He wants to be a better person now and that's evident throughout the novel, this isn't really without closure but they have all the ability to make a proper redemption arc, and give he and danny an arc to reconcile SOMETHING I LOVE IS HOW DANNY STILL HATES HIM EVEN THO HE WANTS TO CHANGE, ITS REALISTIC AND ISNT FORCING FORGIVENESS)

5. VALARIE. We now have 2 valaries, og valarie living outside of time, and clearly knows something's up with clockworks medallion, theres also 90% chance that she saw the interaction with team phantom and clockwork too, new villain arc(although i desperately want her to have an arc where she actually reconciles with danny)

6. Clockwork said he feels weaker, thats probably not gonna be wrapped up but i think its something they can definitely use for something

haha well, they are but they "aren't" ... mostly because of plot issues BUT technically speaking they are. its complicated lmao but basically they are but arden feels like they can't be because he's a prince. ANYWAY tho:

red has no real hard vetoes for any metamours, the only requirement that she has is that whoever hel is with (because she's entirely closed on her side) that they make hel happy and that hel seeks to prtect his happiness. she's very protective of him and she will sack anyone who makes him feel like shit. however, this poses an issue because unlike hel's other fuck buddies or nebulous people but he's in love with arden and arden makes him happy but arden's struggles with duty, honor and his own feelings makes hel sad, but red knows that hel would be sadder if arden wasn't in his life so she kind of deals with him. she doesn't really get jealous in a traditional way? when things first begin plot wise she does have some minor feelings of jealousy towards arden bc of how hel looks for his validation (hel and arden have known each other for longer technically) BUT it usually manifests in a lot of red's self-hating tendencies. after she and hel kind of establish their main qpr, all that jealousy melts because she trusts him. but she's still not keen on hel dealing with someone that makes him feel a way.

hel feels a bit selfish but he's honestly glad that red doesn't have any interest in anyone else because he kind of wouldn't be able to handle the idea of red having metamours on her side. he definitely chases arden and others to get that sexual gratification and traditional romantic sentiment (mostly with arden) but frfr if red was a romantic/sexual person then they'd honestly probably be mainly monogamous with hel having a free pass or two. he absolutely adores red and wants to keep her to himself LMAO but he never says that aloud-even though red would absolutely be fine with that. on the side of arden, he does have a difficult time accepting that he probably won't ever be an important or fundamental fixture in his life. unfortunately for himself, he's deeply in love with arden (not as much as he is with red to be fair but still). the only thing that he can handle mentally is arden having a wife because of the whole prince duty thing, not that he'd be happy about it but he understands that that would be the best case scenario for their relationship. they've had a few arguments regarding arden musing about having different sexual partners or trying women out to get used to the idea of "his duty" but hel doesn't like the idea of arden doing this out of obligation and not because it makes him happy. though arden always tells him to fuck off because of his whole vibe of being a free agent etc etc. hel isn't really a "jealous" person, he's just always been a bit insecure about where he and arden stand regarding their relationship so he's clingier than perhaps is warranted.

and after that entire explanation you'd think i'd say that arden isn't a jealous person? INCORRECT. he's the most jealous one out of the three of them and he feels it the most intensely. despite his knowing hel for longer, the fact that hel went and established a primary relationship with red and not him does hurt (and not that hel didn't try mind you, arden is just so hot and cold) and for a long time he was sort of unfairly jealous of red who was literally just vibing. he's also generally jealous of the fact that hel has the ability and privilege to just focus on himself and his own happiness. he doesn't have to think about what would be best for their country and how the nobility want him to behave whether it be as their pawn or their ruler, and because of that, arden is constantly at a crossroads of what to do and kind of takes it out on hel. that's partially why i put "queer at night" on his side of things because the only time he's honest with himself and when he and hel are anything of a semblance of a couple is under the cover of darkness. he isn't really in love with the fact that hel fucks other people either, but he feels like he can't butt in because he's already told hel to fuck off about his own exploits so how can he expect any different from him? he does eventually warm up to red and begrudgingly agrees that red does make hel a better person and in a perfect world where he wasn't a prince, he'd probably want their relationship to just be the three of them. so he keeps his opinions to himself mostly and is just grumpy a lot of the time.

21 - How intense does each member feel compersion toward their partners and metamours?

red feels compersion pretty heavily whenever hel goes out on the town and fucks someone because whenever he's happy, she's happy. because she also does care for arden (kind of, when he's not being an ass) she is happy for him and hel as well because they do make each other happy when again. arden isn't being dumb and hel isn't being insecure.

hel WOULD feel compersion if arden did actually find a wife that made his princely duties bearable and if he actually sought out situations for his own happiness, but bc arden is mostly a man of self sabotage, he can't bring himself to be happy whenever arden is doing ridiculous shit.

arden feels it begrudgingly. he slowly warms up to hel being happy with red and red becomes important o him slowly. he actively hates whatever random people hel goes to fuck tho. they can die in a ditch for all he cares pff.

I DO!! AND SO DO YOU!! Waving at you, other Sekisei Inko fan (eh, it isn't quite famous over there indeed - but we do exist do not worry, other fans have to be somewhere, I even have a mutual who is!)

I read it, yup. I liked it a lot, and it's nice to see Wakui's progression as a writer and artist (I did it backward but still!). They were a lot of interesting plot points, some of which unfortunately led nowhere since for whatever reason Wakui had to end it quickly (I don't held it against him), I didn't expect the whole Rasputin thing though (not a bad thing, just - didn't see it coming). I don't think I missed or failed to understand the story but I didn't look at it as close as I did with TR so my understanding is not in-depth.

I love Memory sooo much - funky dude. Memory and Seven both. I wish we could've had more information on Hermes... And the day I find the time to focus on Youshichi he'll make me insane BECAUSE WHAT WAS THAT. The daddy issues are going through the roof with him and Seven holy molly

The ending was rushed, the built up to the last arc fell flat since it got wrapped up in a handful of chapters, the last few death couldn't be focused on since time and pages were lacking, I wish we could've seen more of Ren. I'm not totally bothered by it tho? Like yeah, it sucks but it is what it is. It's a really open ending, plot-wise who knows where it leads - it's a bit easier to guess about Seven's development? It looks hopeful, despite all the death around him - but he is used to death and has to be, knowing how old he technically is and the sole fact he cannot die. He's just doomed to lost and grief and to keep walking forward. We are as in the dark as he is when it comes to the story, which is a nice touch as much as it pains me not to know *vague gesture* what actually happened to Olga, who was Youshichi's mother, why didn't he stick around to raise his son, what will happen to Straf, ...

Memory, who has become detached and desensitized to everything, used bugs of all senses - [perception of] time (and thus, awareness(?) of time passing, creation of personal memories and development of a distinct personality) included - as a way to entertain himself without having to be the one interacting with the world. He tried it six times before Seven, all which failed because they couldn't handle 'not being real' - they erased their own memories and thus 'died' which is the only way to get rid of them (Sekisei Inko states that identity(/soul)=memories). But, since they've all developed an identity - Seven included - they were independent. Independent from their creator, even. Memory doesn't have full power over them, they have free will. When Memory says that he has no soul no more, it doesn't have to do with having memories (since it is literally all he made of himself) than the fact he feels disconnected from existence after having lived so long.

That's how I see it, perhaps I'd change my answer one day but for now.. that's how I understood it

Inspired by Full Company ideas, and the want for Uzi to have a real family. I like the idea of Uzi being morally gray/not caring for the death of drones, I want more of those stories out there.

Wants - Plot Ideas - AU

Story n01 - 731 words Draft

Uzi is angry at the world. Not just Humans - tho it's a major part - but at everything. If she could see it burn fully, she would gladly sit and watch. They always wanted her dead, every single one of them, so she'll gladly take them down with her.

She has always felt unwanted, hate always coming her way for seemingly no reasons but that she was born. Out of respect for her mother, she always bottled it down; kept it stored inside her to not explode and give the chance of the bullies any reactions or fuel. The Bunker has never been her home; as she is being reminded daily.

Her emotions towards Khan are obviously mixed. She's of course angry at him abandoning her. She understand that he want through grief as well, and that his distancing could be explained with how she reminds him so much of her mother. But still, he should had been there! He understood that she lost Nori as well. He shouldn't have erased her out of his life! If something like episode 1 happens here, where Khan leaves her for dead, it would be the final straw, the last nail to confirm that to her he has died the same day her mother did.

Everything changes after an accident. It really wasn't her fault! Somebody just wasn't at the right place at the right time. May it be by one of Uzi's invention, or by their own mistakes, a drone was harmed while alone with Uzi. Their scream was so loud, too fucking loud to even let Uzi think. Could she bring them down to the medical wing in time? Maybe. Yet maybe she could try to fix it herself. But would they really care? Would anyone care? Would anyone believe that it wasn't her fault? No, they would just add it to the fire. Call her a monster or simply say that she is bad luck. Will you fucking Stop screaming!! Nobody else is here! Stop! Stop! STOP!

It was so easy. Way easier then it should had been for her to make them stop. To snuff out the life out of their eyes and end it. Without their screams, it all felt so quiet even in her own head. Pure silence as the dark hallway was illuminated in red by the dead drone's visor displaying it's "Fetal Error". No voices screaming at her that what she did was bad. Nothing. She felt nothing for the drone. There was no need for justifications or overthinking; she simply felt nothing even if she understand that a life - which has done so many things and could have a long future - was simply ended under her own hands.

What to do? She needed to hide the body obviously. Tho could she really leave abandoned a body? So many useful parts that were hard to come by inside the bunker. She knew of some abandoned rooms near. That's why she was even working around here; normally nobody to bother or check on her.

Cameras. The thought came to her mind, she needed to make sure she wasn't recorded here nor in her way to dispose of the body. The action was too simple. A normal drone would hesitate, wouldn't it? Getting up, going to the security and dispose of any evidences even if it meant another victim. She tried not to think about how she still felt nothing as her tool came down onto the head of the sleeping drone; caving in in a sickly sweet crack. She didn't even care that they never had the chance to feel their own death; she was simply happy that they didn't scream and give her an headache.

She could never care less about a single drone here, and it all confirmed it to herself. This isn't her home. She didn't need to prove herself to anyone. She needed out, and the first impasse came from the murder drones roaming outside. If she could fight her way through them, she would be free. She had nothing to lose but her chains. If she died, she died. At least she had tried. There would be nobody to mourn her, and so if she had to go out, she would with a bang. She has always been smarter and stronger than all those toasters, and she will fucking prove it to herself.

I often get a lot of ideas and wants out of stories about Murder Drones, yet I kinda never do anything with them outside of ranting about them to friends.

So you know what? I'll just fucking put them down in posts for everyone to see.

lately ive been seeing some ppl on sunny tumblr/twitter spreading the agenda of ryan reynolds dating mac n dee n also dennis banging him and it reminds me of this fic idea i had for a while but i dont think i'm ever gonna make it so i might as well just say it

dee brags about having a date with this really hot guy who's at the bar n mac immediately feels smth between them the guy starts making eye contact and he just knows there's smth there so later he comes up to dennis n asks him for help to steal him from dee. he wants him to help sabotage their date thats happening tomorrow n dennis says yes bc he doesnt care if mac wants to bang ppl, dennis does it himself n he knows it doesnt mean anything plus pissing off dee is a bonus. so the next day he goes to dee's apartment pretending he wanted to hang out, puts some laxative in her drink n she obviously doesnt go to the date. ryan reynolds goes to the bar to meet dee n surprise whos there? mac. so they go out n dennis is "fine" with it. until he notices for weeks how mac is always with his phone n won't stop smiling n not coming home until the next morning so dennis asks him whats this all about n mac tells him "remember that guy dee had a date with but he was obviously more attracted to me? so we've been seeing each other all this time n i think we're going steady. i think i might actually like this guy" dennis is shaking n almost throwing up n then mac says "i wanted to thank you bc if u hadn't helped me sabotage their date we wouldn't be together so yeah thanks dude". then dennis has his kendall roy breakdown in the bathroom. then he does everything in his power to break them up he inserts himself in their dates he takes macs phone to delete their texts making them miscommunicate n mac is pretty oblivious about it but his bf isn't n dennis feels he kinda asked mac to distance himself a little from dennis and now hes going insane he has no resources anymore. so he does the only thing he can think of: hits on ryan reynolds who ends up being a cheater n they fuck. dennis tells mac like it was the most natural thing in the world saying he got suspicious about him being a cheater n just wanted to check, hoping mac will accept it, breakup w him, move on n everything would go back to normal. but he doesnt. he gets rlly upset n goes "what the fuck is wrong with u??? u're not even attracted to men n u banged him just to ruin my first long term relationship" he obviously wouldn't put 2+2 together that dennis wasn't straight n not even cross his mind that he might be jealous. dennis tells him he did him a favor that he was looking out for him and says "now that i clarified everything will u just breakup n we all move on from this? bc its starting to annoy me". but for dennis' surprise mac doesnt let it go n gets to the conclusion that dennis wanted to break them up just bc he wasnt a priority in macs life anymore n wasnt doing stuff for him like he used to n that he couldnt control mac anymore. he gets rlly hurt about this but deep down also bc dennis had gay sex and it wasn't with him. dennis wants to tell him the truth that he was just jealous bc he loved him n it was supposed to be him dating mac not ryan, that no one could understand mac better than he did n that everything was so clear to him now but he doesn't. he doesnt say anything n just lets mac think that bc he doesnt have the guts, bc its easier to let mac hate him. mac walks out the door and now the cliffhanger n angst is settled. dennis has to do the ultimate big romantic gesture to get him back

Wait, what Nessian hike scene? I quit reading after acomaf…

Oh God so this is going to be long but it makes zero sense without the bonkers context: in the Nessian book (book 4, Court of Silver Flames) there is this bass ackwards subplot invented to make sure Feyre can't solve the plot - SJM says, "Oh, Feyre - the 22 year old who learned to read last year - is pregnant by her 530 year old husband and so she can't fight!! 🥰💕🥰😌😌 Isn't this lovely?"

Except - and I am not joking this is all explained in EXCRUICIATING DETAIL - Feyre and Rhysand were having sex while Feyre was shape-shifting into an Illyrian and now the baby has wings. Apparently shape-shifting changes your entire DNA. And Illyrian women have pelvic bones shaped to carry winged babies but High Fae dont. Because Feyre and Rhys had wings while they banged, the baby has wings. And this is VERY DANGEROUS. So dangerous that Feyre cannot use any of her powers - cant shift back to the appropriate bone structure for the baby. The pregnancy could rip Feyre apart from the inside. They CANNOT do a c-section - they are extremely firm and insistent on this. Feyre is absolutely going to die if she continues the pregnancy to full term. The birth will be SUPER DANGEROUS.

And Rhysand just decides that Feyre doesn't need to worry her pretty little head about this information. He tells the details to every single person in the Inner Circle because he is just so SO worried about his darling Feyre...

But yeah she definitely doesn't need to know medical information about her pregnancy so that she can make informed desicions and choices of her own!! Who needs to make choices of your own free will when you have Rhysand amiright!?!?

Anyway Rhys and the whole Inner Circle have been treating Nesta like absolute scum and garbage because she has PTSD and isn't grieving in a nice, pretty way like Feyre or Elain. Nesta is self medicating with casual sex and copious amounts of booze and doesn't want to spend time with people who hate her (ie, the Inner Circle) so they get super salty and decide to tear down the apartment where Nesta is living, force her to move to the House of Wind with Cassian, who at this point has nothing positive to say abut Nesta except that she looks hot when she's starving herself, and order her to train as a warrior even tho Nesta has repeatedly expressed that she has zero interest in fighting as a soldier. They explain that she's EMBARRASSING to the Night Court and Feyre exclaims, "How can I have any right to rule if I can't control my own sister?"

Yeah.

So anyway Nesta is pissed as fuck about this after several hundred pages of MacGuffin Hunting and decides that it's wrong for Rhysand to be such a manipulative fucking control freak about their lives so she tells Feyre (correctly) that Rhysand doesn't really respect her because if he respected her, he'd tell her how dangerous her pregnancy really is.

Now we get to the hiking scene. Brace yourself because it's about to be gnarly as fuck:

So Nesta has spilled the beans. Feyre gets very sad and starts to cry like a little girl - which, for all intents and purposes, she is because SJM chose this book to make Feyre weirdly "pure" and innocent and a beacon of goodness and light. Weird choice given that Feyre is canonically willing to murder literally anyone who gets in the way of what she wants for her future, but whatever.

Seeing her sister cry makes Nesta extremely upset and triggers her to start having an absolute breakdown. The book so far has been full of passages describing Nesta's feelings of worthlessness, her lack of self-esteem, and the way she desperately needs to control some aspect of her life (drinking, having as much sex as possible with complete strangers, having rituals to lock her door and take baths because these things are insanely triggering for her) because all of her choices and autonomy are constantly being stripped from her. She fears now that Feyre will hate her, because she was angry when she revealed the truth - so Feyre won't hear the truth, but will hear Nesta's fury, and at last, her little sister will hate her for good. Their relationship may now be ruined.

However, instead of Feyre and Nesta having a heart to heart a la ACOTAR and instead of them collecting Elain and fucking off from the Night Court for good - Feyre runs crying to Rhysand, who gets so incredibly fucking angry with Nesta for... revealing the fact that he lied to his wife about her own pregnancy.

Rhysand orders Cassian to get Nesta out of Velaris, "Or I'll fucking kill her."

Actual line. From the text.

Now, idk if you've guessed by now, but Cassian is actually Nesta's love interest for this book! Spoiler alert, but they turn out to be mates!!! So what is Cassian, the most alpha of all the very alpha very sexy Bat Boys, going to do when some random ass guy who is smaller than him threatens his mate?

Nothing.

Actually, I lied - Cassian obeys Rhysand unquestioningly. Zero instincts with regards to protecting his mate, whom he is supposed to be falling in love with, whom he is supposed to respect. He takes Nesta out of the city and thinks about how fucking angry he is with her, how mean and awful and cruel she is for... telling Feyre - again, correctly!!!!! - that Rhysand doesn't respect her as an equal and that her pregnancy is dangerous. He decides that he's going to punish Nesta by forcing her to hike across the mountains! He and Rhysand have a good little mental chuckle about this. Haha, Nesta hates hiking and being in nature, she'll be so miserable, but she totally deserves this for being a nasty evil person who we dislike. :)

During this conversation when Cassian decides to physically punish Nesta for acting out, also, it's revealed that Feyre is TOTALLY fine with the fact that Rhysand kept details about pregnancy secret from her. It totally doesn't matter that he lied to her and removed her agency and her ability to make informed decisions about her own life and body. He always has good intentions and just overreacted out of his overwhelming love for her, and who is Tamlin, again? What was the issue with him supposed to be? Anyway, I forget! Who cares!? Feysand baby is a go, they're going to name him Nyx <3

Cassian and Nesta are now hiking. Nesta is neither eating nor drinking, even though they are literally marching up and down multiple mountain peaks. For days, Cassian does not speak to Nesta except to bark orders at her about where to stop for the night, and to wake her up in the morning. Nesta rapidly spirals, thinking about how she's in pain and how much she deserves this, since she's a hateful person who has ruined every relationship she's ever had, so it's fine if she dies.

Cassian thinks, "Huh, Nesta's awfully quiet. Weird. She's probably preparing to yell at me again, she's such a bitch."

But then he notices how little she's eating, and how hard she's pushing herself despite her being much physically weaker than him, and he wonders if she's trying to kill herself.

He doesn't react to this insight, and continues marching her across the mountains until Nesta quite literally passes out from exhaustion.

Cassian is now somewhat worried - he's still angry at her, though, and yells at her that she should have been drinking more water.

Soulmates, everybody!

Anyway, once Nesta is revived, they have a heart-to-heart... sort of. Nesta tells him how worthless she feels, and how she genuinely believes she deserves what is happening to her. She thinks that she deserves cruelty, and is completely un-loveable, because she couldn't forgive her father for neglecting them as children and he still went out to die for them. Cassian... replies that he once burned down a village because that was where his mom was from and his mom was mistreated. No reaction to any of Nesta's insecurities. He doesn't reassure her, or tell her that he loves her no matter what, or that her pain doesn't define her worth as a person. He tells her that the best time to be a nice person was yesterday, and the second best time is today. Then he gives her a sword and tells her to start her training up. They have sex by a lake.

Ta-da! Nesta is now cured of her PTSD.

That's the hiking chapter! And while I'm at it -

At the end of the book, Cassian has never once admitted to liking Nesta as a person on the page - oh, he loves having crazy sex with her and her huge boobs, but he still kinda thinks she's an unreasonable bitch - and Nesta has gotten on her knees to apologize to the Inner Circle for being inconvenient and mean to them. Nobody ever apologies for calling Nesta worthless, or telling her she ought to be thrown into a dungeon in the Court of Nightmares, or for tearing down her house, or chasing her out of Velaris. Nesta sacrifices her vaguely defined powers to save the Feysand baby. And they all live happily ever after.

I rarely call out authors directly but I hope this long ass post explains my very deep and special personal hatred for SJM. She wrote a "healing arc" for Nesta which involved her being physically beaten into submission and molded into a "nicer" person for the Inner Circle's convenience. I have never read anything more fucking disgusting than Court of Silver Flames.

Tldr: You quit while you were head anon, and I'm proud of you.

aaaahh no i'm so honored to be asked something like this!! these are REALLY hard questions tho LMAO like holy shit i STRUGGLED. i ended up choosing the series/moments that left me with the greatest emotional impact or were really formative during my younger years. this turned into a really long and wordy post so uhhh sorry about that, I would have added more pics but they couldn't all be the same size so i gave up LMAO. Anyways let's get into it!!

TOP 10 ANIMANGA SERIES/MOVIES (in no particular order)

I. HAIKYUU!!

I wouldn't be much of a Haikyuu!! fan if this wasn't number one on the list (even though I said they were in no particular order, haha). With how the anime adaptation is coming along, I do absolutely recommend reading the manga. Aside from the fact that the art is just gorgeous, I love how Furudate puts so much care into the characters and story. The symbolism and poetic one-liners that have no business being in a sports manga are fucking fantastic, the development is great, everyone gets a happy and fulfilling ending, and it all wraps up like an emotional sucker punch to the stomach. I also LOVE that there's so much canon material for fans to play around with, and that there's so much left to the imagination. Haikyuu!! really is just a master class in storytelling and a total dream to analyze.

It has an anime series and live-action movie adaptation, which I haven't watched, but I've heard that they don't really do the manga justice. Now, I wouldn't really recommend this one to kids, which I guess can be pretty broad or specific based on your definition? Strictly speaking there aren't any NSFW explicit scenes - nobody even gets naked at any point nor is it the hated ecchi style with random underwear/breast shots or whatever - but the two main characters are pretty euphemistic in, say, the first quarter or so of the series.

(Hiyakawa borrows power from Mikado and when that happens the feelings mirror the pleasure of intercourse, to put it bluntly, but that's not something that actually ever happens. Mostly we, the audience, just see Mikado get red and flustered, although Hiyakawa says/does shit to go along with it sometimes. It gets milder -> nonexistent as the plot progresses because that's not really the focus of the story.

Also, if you're sensitive to dubious consent then this probably isn't for you, since a big part of Hiyakawa's arc is learning how to be less fucked-up than he is and he often uses Mikado's power while Mikado tells him to wait or slow down - not because he wants to hurt Mikado or make him suffer, but because Hiyakawa just genuinely doesn't know that it's the wrong thing to do due to his upbringing. I won't go into why for spoiler reasons, but it becomes really clear by the end of the story. For those of you who are willing to look, I'm going to show a couple pics of this in action down below - otherwise, please skip over it and just scroll down to the parenthesis.

I wasn't really expecting to to go as in-depth as I did about this, and I do love this series, but I also want to give fair warning since the way the dialogue and Mikado's expressions are depicted give off a very real sense of urgency that I would hate for anyone to be caught off guard/be triggered by. I'd love to talk more about it if anyone wants to ask, but I've already diverged enough from the original question.

I don't want you thinking that they have an imbalanced toxic relationship in which Hiyakawa has all the power and Mikado is subservient to him, though, because that's not what it is either. Mikado has always been his own person, and Hiyakawa never tries to control him in any way besides from his own misunderstanding of consent. They help each other on equal grounds, but apparently the anime does a terrible job of showing that.

So, why do I love this series? Well, it's modern paranormal/supernatural, which I'm a HUGE fan of. Apparently Gege Akutami (Jujutsu Kaisen author) named it as one of their own favorites, and once you read it you can really see a LOT of similarities. There's a character just like Okkotsu in that they've done REALLY shitty things and don't know whether they deserve to live or not. There's also a lot of learning how to be brave when you've been running scared your entire life and taking back your own control/power through it. And, other than the heavy stuff, it's actually quite funny. There was one moment I wasn't expecting where I actually laughed out loud.

Also, the characters are really compelling! Aside from everything I said about Hiyakawa earlier, he's one of those nonsensical types who says the most ridiculous things with the utmost sincerity and with a straight face. Mikado acts as his opposite - he easily freaks out and is very expressive. Also, the villain? Like holy SHIT. I could go on about them forever. Like. Holy fucking shit. Top-tier how they handled the boss battle because hoooolyyyyyy shiiiiiiit. But I don't want to spoil, so I'll leave it at that.

Also, the background stories for the characters - once you get to them - will break your heart. Yamashita draws really simply, sure, but they have such a powerful way with storytelling that the emotions just hit you like a brick through the window.

Mostly, though, it is a story about healing, and I'm a sucker when a bunch of people who need to heal in different ways because of the same thing all come together and help each other. I can also guarantee a happy ending, so look forward to that!

III. SNOW WHITE WITH THE RED HAIR

Oh, how I love this series. I know the anime hasn't adapted to its current point, so I def encourage you to read the manga even though it's not complete yet either (and I started in like middle school LMAO). Shirayuki was honestly such a huge role model for me growing up - she was smart and pretty and determined and, even when she wasn't so sure of herself, she always wanted to do the right thing. All the characters in the main squad are so lovely and feel like a real family altogether, and I adore every single one of them. It's sweet and romantic and nails nonmagical fantasy worlds right on the head, and I'd LOVE for more people to get on board with it.

(If you need more convincing, there's pirates and festivals and assassins and a character to love for every single person out there. I know Kiki and Mitsuhide are enough to cause a crisis.)

IV. BOYS RUN THE RIOT

OKAY Y'ALL. LISTEN UP. YOU WANT MORE LOUD AND PROUD QUEER REP IN MANGA?? HERE'S YOUR QUEER REP COME AND GET IT.

It doesn't have an anime adaptation so you can't really watch anything and be done with it, but there's only four volumes so it's easy to collect. it's a story about a transgender teenage boy named Ryo who expresses himself through fashion and GOD I love everything about this series. Jin is the BEST ally. It feels like such a warm hug to see something so proudly represented in manga. ALSO Boys Run the Riot started as a prototype one-shot that the author entered into a contest, and in THAT one of the first characters prototype-Ryo comes out to actually reveals to him that he's Korean!! He kept it hidden and changed his name to protect his identity!! Do you know how fucking REAL Keito Gaku was for that!! Like there is a whoooole conversation to be had about that topic but that is not for now!!

Anyways yes Boys Run the Riot makes you want to cheer and scream when everything comes together in the end because it felt like an uphill battle you were holding your breath through the entire time and I LOVE that they get a hopeful ending. Give it a try, I'm BEGGING.

V. CARDCAPTOR SAKURA

Okay, I'm going to be honest: this is pretty much the only series that has a manga AND an anime in which I've only ever seen the anime. I hear it does a pretty good job of adapting, though, so I'm not too concerned about it. (I do plan on reading the manga to catch up to the Clear Card arc.) I'll also admit upfront that since CCS is a kids' series, there were quite a few problems in it that I didn't realize until I was much older and went back to it.

I like that Sakura feels like a very real protagonist. She was scared and wimpy quite often, and as a kid it was really empowering to watch her develop into someone confident of herself and her abilities. She's got such a great supporting crew behind her, too! I especially loved that CLAMP brought in Syaoran and Meilin from Hong Kong - even nowadays, a lot of non-Japanese foreigner animanga characters fall into the American or European category.

Also, Yuki and Touya. Just do it for them. Seriously. You can watch CCS for them and ignore everything else.

Mostly CCS, for me, was fun and magical and a great escape for a little kid who wanted to get lost in a world not too far from their own. Also, it's got that 90s-drawn aesthetic we all know and love.

VI. PLAY IT COOL, GUYS!

Honestly, I love all of Kokone Nata's works so far. She's one of the more modern authors who got picked up on Pixiv, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where she's going. Play It Cool, Guys! is one of my favorites. It's actually a manga in color, and Kokone Nata utilizes it beautifully. She has so many fun characters and makes normal, everyday life seem so bright and fun. And not to sound like a main character, but I'm also a very clumsy, accident-prone person, so it's really nice to be able to see the crew do everything that I do and do their best to overcome them.

I also love how naturally their relationships develop. Like, seriously - how would a high school kid, two entirely separate and totally opposite college students, a late-20s office employee, and a semi-famous author all fall in together?? Everything is up to fate but Kokone Nata has a way of never making it feel forced. It's not at all unreasonable to bump into each other at the bookstore or in the park - especially when we see that they actually DO interact as strangers first who all happen to hang out/live near each other, and they just drift closer when they finally recognize each other. It's so subtle but so amazing to watch in action.

Also, it's very soothing and fluffy and healing and you absolutely do not have to put the amount of analysis I do into it LMAO, so if you ever need a pick-me-up I absolutely encourage this series or any of Kokone Nata's works!

VII. POKÉMON

Yeah, yeah I know. But I couldn't not include another childhood fave!! It was one of the very first I watched and Ash is honestly such a great protagonist and role model for younger kids. Sure, he can be an annoying brat in the ten-year-old way, but he takes losing like a champ and he always tries to do what's right. He was incredibly selfless, kind, and considerate for a character of that age and growing up alongside that really taught me a lot about what I wanted to put out into the world. Watching any episode just makes me feel comforted and like I'm paying an old friend a visit and it will always be in my favorites list. Plus the dub actually has some HILARIOUS lines LMAO.

Also, the Special Adventures manga series by Hidenori Kusaka is a total gem and was my first introduction to fandom, so if you're a Pokémon fan who hasn't read it then I really encourage you to check it out!

(I would like to make a note that I got stuck after this and was kind of fishing around in my head for the last three LMAO)

VII. HIBI CHOUCHOU

This one is one of my favorite high school romance series - it's sweet and fluffy and might be a little cheesy, but the characters are all so lovely and you can't help but want to cheer them on! The plot is kind of ridiculous when you first start it - "all guys instantly fall in love with the super pretty MC who hates the attention and has been declared 'unattainable' because of her distant attitude towards them and ends up falling for the one guy who didn't act crazy-in-love with her from the start" - but it's really heartwarming to see the growth Suiren and Taichi go through. I also really love Taichi because he feels so different and refreshing from a lot of high school romance manga male lead/love interests that I've seen. (Maybe because of the glasses? I can't name any other male lead/love interest with glasses LMAO.) It's such a gentle series and feels like a warm hug, and watching two quiet people find their way together really did wonders for shy high school me.

IX. FADED FIRST LOVE

Oh gosh, this one is SUCH a gem! You know how sometimes people want representation as a sweet story that's not about an identity crisis but just having fun and in love? That's what Faded First Love feels like. It's genuinely funny and sweet, and while Aoki DOES encounter a couple homophobic problems here and there, it's mostly lighthearted and nothing he can't handle with the help of his friends. He and Iida are both learning and doing their best, and it's one of the series I go back to whenever I want a pick-me-up.

X. JUJUTSU KAISEN

I did say before that I was a huge fan of mixing paranormal phenomena with modern settings, and Jujutsu Kaisen is a great example of that. It's crazy how much thought was put into the technical aspects of that world - every time I think about Gojo explaining to Itadori how to channel cursed energy, it makes my head hurt. The monster designs are so creative and the characters are all such a great bunch. I tear up whenever I remember Miwa listening to Mechamaru's voice recording on the plane. What really nailed it as a Top 10 for me was JJK Volume 0, because hooolyyy shiiiit. Okkotsu's growth was FANTASTIC to watch and I LOVE how confident he is now and how he follows the philosophy of "the people I care about care about you" when it comes to Itadori.

Okay Tetsuo from Akira is a shit in the movie for sure, like he does not handle his newfound powers very responsibly (tho who can rly blame him imho). But Tetsuo in the manga is a whole different level of Shit, he's the same unhinged mess of hormonal teenage.. machismo bullshit.. mixed with 'whoops I have godlike powers I didn't ask for nor can I comprehend without my mind shattering, guess I'll proclaim myself GodKing/Drug Lord/Bike Gang Ruler/Harem Owner/whatever strikes my fancy bc im the biggest strongest toughest man around💪 and i do!!!! what i want!!!!!' and then he sits there on his throne just fuckin. FUMING and unhappy and man.. idk.. that's just such a relatable vibe to me. A teenaged me surely would've been just as wild and angsty about my newfound powers (and maybe even a present day me, who knows) tho I like to think I'd be uhhhh 😏💅 a bit better at it tbfhhhhh.. like I contemplate. thr world. and thr horrors. Ruth from Ancient Magus Bride is literally just a doggo, he wants to do a good job and protect the ppl he cares about and Bite anyone who threatens them. And um. Yah😒 v easy to see how thats relatable ig. I'm protective of the ppl who are important me, holy shit🤯 (this is sarcasm) But also like.. I'm kind of a directionless wet blanket of a person on my own??? I need a s/o or a friend to be like 'okay it's time for Outside, you wanna go outside???' so there's uh. There's also that:)

Kisame Hoshigaki is 100% 'idk I just work here' vibes, for the majority of his screen time he's the absolute least fanatical-acting Akatsuki member. It's this air of mystery around him.. like he's doing all these dangerous fights with the same emotional gravitas as a blue collar worker punching in for another shift at the ol paper mill or whatever. Does this mean he's just ridiculously strong and has no reason to be concerned? Or is he secretly the MOST fanatically devoted member, he just is rly good at hiding it??? I'm not gonna plot spoil lol. But I fuck very heavily with those vibes, more as an aspiration than a relatable thing tbfh (I have zero chill smh)

I think that Mayuri's character is largely up for interpretation- how much of his personality is an act, wtf happened in his past, why is he so uhhhh (insert weird and off-putting trait) - and that's a big reason why I was drawn to him. Him being a villain (or at least villainous) only makes him better for all the negative shit I air out in my ff. Like believe me, I have Cursed this man lol

On a lighter note (and sorry for the repeating, I've said all this before in SO many other posts) the mad scientist part of him, specifically the 'constantly modifies his own body' part, has helped me work thru being - and coming out as - trans. Sometimes I wish I had a cooler coping mechanism bc 'yah this uhhhh weird anime guy helped me transition' isn't very fun to say outside of very limited circles dhdgdvdvdv but I appreciate him just as much as ever and Need to get back to writing my ffs about him😭

okay sooo- uhm- I usually don't like self-promoting but I'm kinda- sad- atm-

so, um, on october 30th, like right before Halloween, I posted a fully complete, 6 chapter halloween kfp fic! it isn't my best work as I understand it probably doesn't hit all the good writing plot points but I was REALLY working hard on this fic for like- months- and though it's, again, not my best work, I am still really proud of the character I created for this fic, the way I analysed the characters of the furious five and just the fact that I- well- did something and completed it! and it turned out moderately decent!

there is one problem tho... my BF said with all the halloween craze, the readers won't be coming in right away- and I understood that! so I waited... and waited... and waited. and so far only 2 people have reviewed my story (with one of them being my bf which I absolutely love ; w ; precious boi I tell you), 4 people have favorited it and 3 people followed. and that's just on fanfiction.net at least I got a bit of growth in views on wattpad, being 153, but I'm pretty sure it's just people clicking on the fic, getting bored and leaving. and even still... no comments, no favorites.

guys... please don't do this to young writers. it's fine if you don't like our works, but at least let us know so that we can improve on our writing and actually MAKE something that people want to see! We crave reviews, feedback and validation as we put a lot of time and effort into what we create, ESPECIALLY FOR FREE and with VERY LIMITED TIMING.

I'm not mad at anyone, I'm not disappointed in anyone- but I'm mostly disappointed with myself. I don't want to make this into a pity party but I feel like I made something that's so bad, no one other than a few small amount of people will actually take the time of day to read it and give notes on it. I'm not expecting anyone to validate me but, this fic was a literal passion project that I've been wanting to do for a YEAR. I've been working on this for a YEAR. and though at first I was proud of how it came out, seeing that no one wants to even see it just immediately crushed my remaining confidence for this.

what's the point of sharing something your proud of with others if they're going to crush that pride?
