Fantasy Tea WIP (Title TBD)

Summary:

A prohibition has been inacted on potions in the kingdom, forcing Krig Petalwort, a goblin alchemist, to close his shop. Meanwhile, Nedwyn Amberwood, an eager halfling entrepenuer, wants to open up a new tea house in town. She takes over the potion shop while the alchemist helps out around the shop garden. Later on, they discovers that their tea can give minor potion effects. Suddenly, their business is booming with customers and needy adventurers. Follow their stories as they try to maintain a low profile as a well-to-do cafe.

Characters:

Nedwyn Amberwood - She/Her, 26 years old, halfling, curly dark brown hair with pink highlights, thicker build, makes farming clothes look cute.

Theo - He/Him, border collie, white and brown, good boi

Krig Petalwort - He/Him, ?? years old, goblin, a bit on the skinny side, has immaculate fashion sense, likes big hats.

Vox can understand Velvette just fine. They don't necessarily need to get along all the time, but they have a mutually beneficial contract that guarantees her support in the most efficient way possible, just how they both like it, short and strict and to the point. Vox does not understand Valentino. It drives him unimaginably, disgustingly insane. He knows how to handle him, make no mistake. Valentino is a never-ending powerhouse that wrangles out content from his employees like there's no tomorrow. He's proven himself to be Vox's most lucrative investment yet. He is resourceful, well-connected and most importantly predictable enough to rein in. Because he listens to you, because he needs you.

He is also, undeniably, out of his goddamn mind. Yet you've already invested too much in the corporate empire you've built together and there is no point turning back now that you have him so close to your side. It's OK however! He couldn't possibly be stupid enough to throw away the best partnership deal he's ever had just for the sake of something petty cause -oh, wait - he genuinely might just be that stupid and you never would've guessed because he's so cocksure of his bullshit that 80% of the time it ends up working in his favor anyway.

Fuck his life indeed. The kicker for this of course is that Valentino, genuinely does believe he has struck gold with Vox. Valentino is a clingy, possessive, immature, perverted, sadistic, egotistical man-child with severe rage issues and zero impulse control. No he is not aware of this at all. No he does not know why nobody is able to tolerate him and why every single person he gets close to hates his guts with every inch of their burning rotting souls. All he knows is that hell has now given him a flat faced prince in shining liquid crystal armour, riding on a cash filled horse with promises of power and luxury, who's practically handing him success on a silver platter. Doesn't mean that Val trusts him, doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy seeing him lose his shit. But at the end of the day vox has his back, and as long as Val keeps calling for him, he'll eventually turn up and make everything better. Cause hey if Vox hasn't left him yet for this long he must be doing something right. Right?

I was watching a video about Roger Rabbit today and it reminded me of your Roger Rabbit AU and... in light of the "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way" line implying that toons aren't naturally born but made.... Takaaki as just the most haggard looking deadline-crunching animator of all time with his silly little bunnyboy.

YES. i had a similar idea about this after wondering how takaaki could possibly fit into the au. old man and his oc. just begging to be screwed over by the studio he works for and end up with no ownership over the character.

if i ever do make develop this au into a full-fledged story, i might just find a way to include takaaki. even if the original creator of roger was never a thing in the original movie, maybe the investigation could lead them to the original creator of taka to get some more information. what information?? hell if i know. i just know we’d get takaaki in on this.

also i was thinking. who’s mondo’s original creator?? it might just be takaaki wanting to give his creation a love interest. we could go the “parent” creating “child” route and have whoever the hell mondo’s dad is create him. or daiya. i feel like, in the case of daiya, it’s one of those situations where a closeted animator just wanted to create the most overtly queer character they could. and the character somehow got onto the screen. i mean, that idea doesn’t have to be exclusive to daiya, but still. fun to think about.

NEW FIONA BACKSTORY JUST DROPPED

Okay so in the book it says that she got chased out of her town bc they thought she was a witch bc of her peculiarity but that makes no sense bc this isn’t the Salem witch trials this is Ireland in the famine, there gonna want some food. (Also the supernatural isn’t exactly bad? Idk how to explain it w out making this post rly long) so basically around the age of 11 she got her peculiarity right smack dab in the middle of the famine so of course her family is like “you should help us and the town even more w gardening”. And her town flourishes despite the famine, so ofc the landlords (the brits🤮) are like « hold up wait a minute smthn ain’t right » and the landlord of Fiona’s family’s house eventually hears abt this girl who can grow plants w magic . For a few yrs he watches her family close until he sees her use her powers and he tells her family that he’s gonna evict them if they don’t give him Fiona (who’s around 14 rn) they don’t give him her ofc so they get evicted but when they aren’t looking he kidnaps Fiona anyway and takes her to the « big house » (the brits🤮 plantation)she works there for a few months but eventually escapes (idk how yet) then she runs away until she gets to Hugh farm and meets him in a field of flowers<3

Ive talked about these goobers before so some of ya’ll might already know I ship my oc Ace with Jack from Under The Devils Moon by @libras-interactives. Ace is generally a very physically affectation person. It comes very naturally to him, so anyone in a relationship with him should expect a lot of random hugs.I dont know if Jack can read but if he cant just imagine he's looking at the comics.

Ok there’s like, 2 ways you can possibly spin this:

1) Jordan has taught the values of discipline to Sydney verbally, throughout their time in the Temple. Sydney hangs on every word because they’re a follower through and through, and takes all of the Temple’s messaging to heart. They’re also a fairly disciplined person on appearance, in reality they’re hanging by a thread

2) Jordan may of? Done some punishments near Sydney? I have no proof of this but my god it feels interesting right?

didn’t give much context before but we’re going with that the egg was abandoned in winter horns and recovered by a group of waddle explorers

there wasn’t a lot of (known) writing on dedede’s species so figuring out what to do from there was kinda hard and they didn’t really know anything for certain, but between a little research, a gut feeling, and dedede and mk already used to Parenting, they passed the egg onto them to look after and well. yeah

it was definitely a rollercoaster for dedede, to be given hope that there were others like him after all - so it was only natural he’d take it very seriously. he spends a lot of time with them and they’re very clingy because of it. he says they’re like a duckling

being so big also comes with problems because as clingy as they are, they outgrew being able to be held by other people pretty fast lol

wait hang on. wait a second. I’m cooking okay so I was thinking about real life AU loop and. what if they were Siffrin’s older sibling?

like this lends itself to a complete au to make it work so here goes. hear me out

Loop and Siffrin are siblings in an abusive household. Loop is older by say, 3ish years

When Loop is a teenager, 15-16ish, they run away from home. They don’t take Siffrin with them

TIMESKIP. Siffrin is 17 and in foster care. He doesn’t remember anything from before then. He’s being matched with a new foster parent. Also they’re trans (this will be relevant) but haven’t really been able to go on hormones yet

It’s LOOP. 20 years old. Transitioned, looks completely different now. you wouldn’t even recognize them from the person who ran away from home. They also don’t remember much but they remember they ran away, and they remember they left a little sibling behind.

they meet. Loop doesn’t realize Siffrin is their sibling at first bc of the name change (and memory issues). Siffrin doesn’t recognize Loop at all. He doesn’t even remember he has a sibling

Loop soon realizes who Siffrin is, but… Siffrin doesn’t even remember they exist. What are they supposed to say? That they’re his older sibling? That they left them behind? What if they mess this up and siffrin hates them and this all falls apart?

The guilt and anxiety win out. They won’t tell Siffrin… yet. They’ll figure out the right time, the right way

And thus we obtain Loop, the knower, helping Siffrin, the unknowing. Loop, who ran away, blames themself for it, tasks themself with helping other people like them through fostering. Ends up helping someone far too similar to them for comfort.

I don’t even know how to tie in the rest of the family or the loops(??) yet. This was custom engineered solely to get the juicy Loop and Siffrin dynamic lmao I’ll think of more as I go

Voices and Video Games

Contrarian should play a game where you can annoy people. Untitled Goose Game, The Stanley Parable, Portal, all that good stuff. I think ones that allow the people to annoy you right back would be the funniest, through. Because he's never actually been in the position of being the one annoyed, and I don't even know how he would react. No matter if ge takes it really well or really horribly, there'd still be a brief whiplash moment and I'd pay to see his face during that mental bluescreen. (I also want to see his reaction over the Real Person ending in STP Ultra Deluxw, because Pain.)

Broken... I don't think he's in a mental state where "having fun" comes easily. But Contrarian taught him how to win the fighting games and it seems to make him slightly less miserable.

Smitten would probably thrive through trashy romance VNs. Sure, he would declare that his true affections lie with the princess, but that won't stop him from wooing each cardboard cutout love interest that digitally smiles at him. But do you know what would be really funny? Giving him a BL. A love interest rivals to lovers and watch him obssess over his "rival", see how quickly genuine intrest in the girl turns into one-uping the other guy. Or give him DDLC if you prefer your chaos with a side of pain. Tehehe...

Cheated deserves a two-player or multiplayer game. Actually winning against his opponents would be good for him. And even when he loses, he still has a chance of winning the next round. And I'll be nice to him and just leave it at that. He deserves nice things.

As I saw in another post (so sorry I didn't save it so I can't credit you but if you see this thank you for sparking this idea), Cold would probably ... can't say enjoy but ... he would be provided enrichment in his enclosure woth Undertale. I completely agree with you, he would deeply relate to Flowey as a character. But I have another thing I want to bring up. The genocide route. A route that Cold would definately at least attempt to see what happens. Would Papyrus's speech affect him? If not stop him, at least make him hesitate? And would he kill Flowey without hesitation? I'm curious. I am so unbelievable curious.

Paranoid should be given the most relaxing games possible. His blood pressure is high enough without the additional stress. Cute farming games, petting puppies, styling hair, just give this poor guy a break. He deserves it.

Stubborn would probably prefer real fighting to the online stuff, but still go to fighting games if there's no way to beat up real people. He would also absolutely suck at them at first, which would be pretty funny to watch. Even funnier if someone managed to teach Broken how to play the game beforehand (wink). I would pay to see Stubborn's face if that happened. He would probably mope for days. He would also probably like the trashy romance games too, but only if they have someone who could beat him up. Managed to start an arguement with Smitten about the better love intrest that quickly decends into a month of warfare between the two.

I... can't really think of anything for Hunted. Even if there was a game the suited him, I'm not sure he would even play it. He would probably be super helpful if there's some kind of trivia game about wildness survival.

Skeptic would love any detective/mystery games. But he either would be brilliant at them or completely hopeless, with absolutely no in between. Multiplayer deduction games with the other voices would be just as fun to watch, the sheer chaos of them being forced into potentially unfamiliar roles. Now I want to write a whole story about the voices playing mafia so badly...

Hero honestly deserves a break from moral dilemas and all the stuff the Narrator forced on his shoulders. Cut and dry good fights evil or no-stakes games. Just let the guy rest. He's dealy with enough world-ending side choosing for one lifetime.

Opportunist would probably lie about his favourite to anyone who asks, but enjoy games where you play as the villian or generally do immoral things and actually get rewarded by the game. I just think those games really cater to his world view. But what would be really interesting is one of the games were you are forced to realise that you are the villian, that what you are doing is wrong. Just for the funzies.

Phew, I really am deeply sucked into this fandom. Don't think I've ever written so many posts about the same thing before. I should do this more often with my other fandoms...

if i had the power to make any show real, i would make a film-length crossover where the leverage crew is doing a very involved con in new york and the NYPD (gregson and bell working with joan and sherlock from elementary) and the FBI (peter burke working with neal caffrey from white collar) have to team up to solve the case. halfway through, the consultants all agree that the leverage crew is in the right here and they have to figure out how to seem like they're solving the case without actually solving the case. various groups get to talk about their interests - diana and hardison talk hacking, neal and elizabeth talk food with elliot, parker and sherlock talk lock-picking.

i’m so curious to know how the first scene in ch3 will start. will everyone stay together, or will we have to go find susie and toriel? what happens when the police shows up? we’ve never been in a dark world when someone new falls into it. how long will it take ralsei to “sense a dark presence” and get to the dreemurr house? presumably pretty quickly, but the dreemurr house is much farther from the school than the librarby. will the new darkners know kris opened their fountain? will the lightners? also, how far away will we be from the dark fountain when we enter the new dark world, since we opened it? will kris get up to anything weird before we as the player enter the dark world? i’m just so excited for that first scene. it’s gonna be so good, but i have a nagging feeling all it will do is raise more questions than answers, lol.

So the actual emotional plot between Grian and Scar is currently in heavy development, because I have So Many Feelings about this duo (/pos) and I want to make sure to fit in as much of my thoughts on them as possible in, while also making everything make sense narratively ^-^;;

(But if you want an idea of the headspace I've been in while thinking about these two specifically, here's the song I've been listening to on repeat as I think about Them: Born Without A Heart by Faouzia)

In my plot, they're both haphazardly trying to both recreate and process the memories they have of their other selves' relationships, while coming at it from completely different angles, and holding a lot of resentment towards each other based on the half-remembered wrongs done against their counterparts by the other person's counterparts.

They also forget an incredibly important point, which is that those things may have been done by versions of the other person, but the other Trials did happen in... Different Universes. Different Worlds. Those versions of them are alternate iterations of them. Not them exactly!

So Scar isn't processing that just because he has memories of DL!Grian being a cheater doesn't mean that this Grian is a cheater (he isn't! and wouldn't be!). Meanwhile, Grian hasn't connected that just because 3L!Scar betrayed him without warning doesn't inherently mean that this Scar is fickle, or untrustworthy, or any of the nasty things Grian has thought about 3L!Scar when overwhelmed by that hurt so great is passed through dimensions

And all of that, in addition to them trying to prove to themselves that they somehow have value by "getting this person who didn't want them anymore to actually want them, and stay", means that for the first part of all of this, they're going to have a messy, on-again-off-again, chaotic relationship where they're saying the same thing but they just can't hear it

And it will be a gradual shift from that trashfire of a situation to them actually understanding who these versions of Grian and Scar are as people, and settling into a much less chaotic or toxic relationship

They will get there! But the how is slightly in flux ^-^;;
