wait hang on. wait a second. I’m cooking okay so I was thinking about real life AU loop and. what if they were Siffrin’s older sibling?

like this lends itself to a complete au to make it work so here goes. hear me out

Loop and Siffrin are siblings in an abusive household. Loop is older by say, 3ish years

When Loop is a teenager, 15-16ish, they run away from home. They don’t take Siffrin with them

TIMESKIP. Siffrin is 17 and in foster care. He doesn’t remember anything from before then. He’s being matched with a new foster parent. Also they’re trans (this will be relevant) but haven’t really been able to go on hormones yet

It’s LOOP. 20 years old. Transitioned, looks completely different now. you wouldn’t even recognize them from the person who ran away from home. They also don’t remember much but they remember they ran away, and they remember they left a little sibling behind.

they meet. Loop doesn’t realize Siffrin is their sibling at first bc of the name change (and memory issues). Siffrin doesn’t recognize Loop at all. He doesn’t even remember he has a sibling

Loop soon realizes who Siffrin is, but… Siffrin doesn’t even remember they exist. What are they supposed to say? That they’re his older sibling? That they left them behind? What if they mess this up and siffrin hates them and this all falls apart?

The guilt and anxiety win out. They won’t tell Siffrin… yet. They’ll figure out the right time, the right way

And thus we obtain Loop, the knower, helping Siffrin, the unknowing. Loop, who ran away, blames themself for it, tasks themself with helping other people like them through fostering. Ends up helping someone far too similar to them for comfort.

I don’t even know how to tie in the rest of the family or the loops(??) yet. This was custom engineered solely to get the juicy Loop and Siffrin dynamic lmao I’ll think of more as I go

Character Introduction

Beatrix Elora Peg’asi

Beatrix is the youngest daughter of King Fenris, and one of the two main characters in Binary Stars.

Growing up in the palace, she was closest to Nerissa, eventually Vexx, and Sorenn (before he joined the guard)

Because of the near constant torment from some of her siblings, she became a very defensive, aggressive person, and that carried into adulthood, causing problems in many of her relationships. Her thoughts and judgement can be easily clouded by anger or other strong emotions.

Her and people closest to her, especially any love interests, tend to bicker quite a bit, since she won’t ever admit to being wrong, even when she knows it. The difference, however, between friends and love interests is that the fights between lovers can and will get ugly, and fast.

The thing that can uncloud her mind the best, is when she spends some time quietly staring up at the stars. They remind her that she’s never really alone in the universe.

When Vexx started working for her, she felt he was a bother, until Nerissa advised that she should at least try to befriend him, since he was going to be there regardless. Eventually, they did grow to be very close friends, breaking all sorts of rules together, finally giving Beatrix more reign over her own life.

Give me Octavian who is now forced to reside in the Apollo cabin, forced to get know the Greeks. Give me Octavian having to slowly win their approval. Give me Octavian messing up and ending up back at square one.

And give me Octavian having to deal with Lester. The guilt, of knowing that someone you looked up to is now being punished because of something you did.

most celestial bodies have avatars/incarnations, typically mobians, with the one exception of the sun, who would cycle through human avatars. the last was Maria.

Shadow was created to take the mantle and hopefully save not just Maria, but the entire solar system. Instead, upon his creation a second sun was born. Shadow's star was quickly burning up, threatening to supernova, so he was put into stasis. His star cooled, and later, Maria's star/the sun died, leaving the Earth hopeless in the cold and dark. (Although Amy [Earth] and Knuckles [moon] are doing their best to keep its inhabitants alive.)

A short while after Maria's star dies, a new sun begins to form in it's wake, with Sonic born as the new sun, although Shadow's star still exists, it is cold and not visible from Earth.

50 years later, Shadow is woken and meets Sonic.

Character Introduction

Dalia Violet Hawthorne

Dalia is a 24 year old half-Kitalphan woman, who seems to come across as cold and uncaring to those who first meet her. Get closer and they’d realize just how caring, maternal, and loyal she is, even if she tries to hide or deny that she cares about anything.

She hides her freckles with makeup, gills with chokers, and naturally brown hair with black and white hair dye.

Two of the four pre-game chapters in Binary Stars are from Dalia’s perspective. She is also seen in chapters that take place during episode 2, as the bartender serving the crew. Other than that, she is only mentioned here and there, only showing up in side stories.

She is a bartender in Nos Vega, working for Oppo out of mostly obligation and necessity.

Pre-game, she lives with two “part time roommates” which are just her closest friends who crash at her place more than they’re at their own houses. One, Daxton, she met when he was a baby, and she was a young child, as their parents were family friends. Were.

During the events of the story, her other roommate moves away, leaving her a wreck, feeling helpless and unneeded, especially since Dax is almost fully grown and doesn’t need her looking after him as much anymore.

As both of her birth parents are no longer around, her mother passing away in child birth, and her father passing not long after, she was placed in the care of her mother’s step brother as a baby.

He was a cold, emotionally neglectful dad to Dalia, who seemingly only cared about perfection, and had no time for her emotions or wishes.

She since struggles with her self worth being tied to success or usefulness.

She plays the guitar as a way to unwind, and she was once in a band. It didn’t end very well. (covered in upcoming side story)

For @waffletrex 's request of seeing a crossover of Drifting Stars and Get Better Children! In this spin on the AU, both Mabel and Dipper get pulled through the portal, and end up getting seperated in the panic. Dipper gets grabbed by Bill, while Mabel is taken through a rift by Ford.

Dipper, being Bill's adopted brother, is named Prince of the Nightmare Realm, and is mostly seen with Bill himself, since he knows that if anyone finds out that Dipper is important to Bill (well, he tells himself that Dipper really only matters to his parents and not him, but this triangular POS is hella lonely inside and definitely gets attached to his star-marked sibling), then he'll be a huge target. Dipper often has to wear a blindfold because Bill remembers how badly McGucket was traumatized by what he saw for a few seconds, and he doesn't want to deal with a broken Pinetree while he searches for Shooting Star and Sixer.

Mabel, on the other hand, has been burdened with the herculean task of surviving in the Multiverse while also trying to get Ford to believe that Bill wont hurt them. She's quickly becoming a very wanted little lady: not because of her being an accomplice to her multidimensional criminal grunkle, but because Bill has used his influence to make her a priority target. She misses her brother and the rest of her family dearly, and she takes Dipper's hat with her everywhere.
