My dad refused to let me even try ballet as a child because he said it would "deform" my body. So one (1) person thinks it's an issue for cis people 😂

But yeah my friend who did ballet most of her life told me about all the irreversible changes her and her peers had because they started ballet so young, and how that was actually necessary for them to even be kind of "good" at it, not even for professional reasons, just good enough to be in roles for like, their shows. She also ultimately could not make the cut to be a pro ballet dancer, despite dancing before kindergarten, going to boarding ballet dance camps every summer, and dancing year-round during school.

Apparently one of the girls my friend knew had her toe joints grow crooked. Lots of the ballet dancers had bow-legs. Many lost some of the nails on their feet. Also they had tons of eating disorders that were kind of just handwaved away because, well, that's what you do for ballet, especially if your body is not naturally the ideal ballet dancer shape (this goes for the guys too apparently).

An aunt of mine had a roommate who was a pro ballet dancer and every day she would have one meal: a blended concoction of onions and other strong tasting food. She'd drink it all and have zero appetite for eating anything the rest of the day. That is also apparently not too bizarre for a ballet dancer.

So yeah children are already well able to ruin their bodies with decisions they make and people kind of just go along with it. Tbh just using puberty blockers to delay puberty sounds super benign in comparison. Even surgery is like... honestly, by your teens I think you know enough. Every kid is different but definitely by late teens it's old enough to make these decisions. Kids make irreversible decisions all the time. It's not the irreversibility that's really the issue here.

This of course completely ignores the fact that puberty makes irreversible changes to your body. But let us just rephrase the question: “from what age do you gain bodily autonomy?” Now it gets very easy to answer: From the moment you’re fucking born.

I HAVENT BUT I DO KNOW!!! i made mary in a picrew but i can never find ones that have exactly what i want so i give up but . here ^_^

mary - long straight very light brown hair, green eyes, around 5'5-5'6. she wears lots of outdoorsy clothes and practical things so thick jackets, hking boots, anything with a lot of pockets, etc. wears her hair tied back most of the time and usually has some sort of hairband or scarf keeping it out of her eyes. she does like cardigans too though and she has a collection of skirts and resses she wears but they arent very good for ghosthunting. she doesnt wear makeup but she is good at it!! lots of earthy tones, nothing bright. she totally has a buzzcut at some point but i have no idea where in the timeline that goes considering the rest of the time its past her shoulders

cory - very short curly dark brown hair (hes naturally blond but hes got the aesthetic going on), more greyish-blue eyes, 5'8 or so but he slouches a lot. tends to wear darker clothes but he does own a lot of very bright shirts and such for contrast. he tries not to stand out as much as he can in school because without the upp and other deadwood kids he would be tormented by other students. i imagine bc of his strong Sight and a few quirks of how that works he wears sunglasses or something similar to those tinted lenses for colourblindness to hide how his eyes glaze over a lot if hes not focusing hard enough. got that kinda punk/skater look but a lot less cool and more trying to copy what other people wear that isnt high maintenance

dara - i have the most clear visual for him because hes based entirely off a guy in my year so while i unfortuantely cannot show pictures i can describe him. IRISH. VERY short almost military cut ginger hair some freckles but not as pale as he could bc bc hes a sports guy he gets out a lot more than anyone else. wears jerseys and halfzips and shorts in whatever their school colours would be sorry i dont know what american sports clothes are. other than that yeah he just dresses like a normal guy. around 6'1. probably more on the sweatpants and tshirt and jacket type of guy rather than jeans and hoodie though

abby - sterotypical american cheerleadergirl. 5'1, super long blonde hair that she has up in some sort of bun or braid most of the time, light brown eyes? very minimal makeup but she has that always perfect look to her. shes also a ballet dancer though so shes a lot stronger than anyone would expect from her (probably teaches some small things to mary in theiir spare time. i want them to bond). while in school shes always got that meangirls perfection colour-coordinated outfits vibe as Soon as she gets back to deadwood shes just Some Girl. doesnt want to get in trouble with her parents or her school friends for destroying her Approved Clothes she probably borrows a lot of mary and corys clothes for going out and has a special collection of practical clothes for those adventures. its not that she dislikes the way she dresses in school its just that deadwood is such a boring town that she'd look out of place like that. if the upp were just chilling together she'd wear her own clothes though

william - same as canon, probably? pretty much his getup from season1. i dont get to ave as much fun with him i think his hair is a lot longer back in deadwood though (it gets to that length again after the timeskip once he relaised he can make his hair grow as fast as he wants bc wisp powers or some shit, but when he'd started in the prime defenders it was suggested he cut his hair or tie it back in fights since longer hair can be dangerous), probably almost to his shoulders. lot of dark colours but unlike cory who does black and one bit of colour he just goes for any dark tones mixed together

KH OC WEEK | DAY 3 - BATTLE & ABILITIES @khoc-week​

i genuinely had no idea what to do for some of these prompts, so today, tomorrow, and saturday will be alphabet prompts. for today i picked battle and abilities, so i’ll be going over holly’s fighting style and her nature manipulation abilities! i won’t be going over tiny in this post bc his fighting style is essentially fistfighting with knives for hands and his fury ability is rather straight forward (its like isa/saix’s berserk but a bit to the left).

first off, holly’s fighting style. her weapon is a spear, so i drew inspiration from the polearm users from genshin impact, particularly yunjin and zhongli.

yunjin is an opera singer, so her movements are floaty and elegant but still deliberate, like she’s performing instead of fighting. likewise, holly is a dancer, specially a ballet/contemporary dancer, so she’s also very floaty and elegant, a bit like a leaf or petal being carried by a wind current. yunjin’s fancy twirls work well with holly’s aesthetic.  

on the other end of things, zhongli’s n4, n5, and n6 moves are also very holly-like. he’s the geo archon, so his movement is sturdy and heavy like a rock. or in holly’s case, like a tree trunk. i like the idea of holly kicking her spear to hit opponents who are farther away, as well as just...kicking in general; again, she’s a dancer, so she’d be flexible, which means her kicks would be rather high.

this technically doesnt belong to fighting style but i didnt know where else to fit it. holly’s magic prowess is mostly in her nymph/nature powers, but she can do other spells. namely: cure, magnet, reflect, esuna, sleep, poison, and water. poison and sleep -> certain plants are poisonous and certain plants make it easier to sleep. the more elemental spells are tricky for her, especially fire magic.

so that’s her fighting style; floaty and elegant like a petal in the wind, but sturdy and hard like a tree trunk. but what about her abilities?

well, its stated on her ref sheet, but holly’s main, big ability is her lotus summon. the lotus acts like a dummy that diverts an opponents attention away from her to the lotus. it draws them in while also doing damage by cutting the opponents with razor sharp leaves. think of the razor leaf or leafage moves from pokemon.

in addition to that, if the lotus is hit with spells like firaga or thundaga, instead of razor leaves, it will hit the enemies with that specific spell. this can also be used with cure/curaga; instead of doing damage to enemies, it will instead heal whoever's in its range

if holly slams or even pierces the blade of nature’s vow into the ground, giant thorns will protrude out of the ground and pierce anyone whos too close.

holly can also briefly turn her body mass into a simple pile of leaves. this makes her a much harder target to hit when she dodges or sprints. think of, again, mona or ayaka’s sprint from genshin impact, just in the air.

holly has a general control over nature, whether it be manipulating moving vines or getting fruit trees to grow faster. when NOT in a battle and simply chilling at home in twilight town, she mostly uses her powers to maintain a little vegetable and fruit garden.

on top of that, being part nymph gives her an insane knowledge of plants. a majority of the time, she just has to look at a plant and she’ll instinctively know what it is, what it’s used for, and how to take care of it.

and now. a brief overview of nature’s vow. bc its very pretty and i like it.

nature’s vow is a spear that was originally made, rather crudely, out of scrap metal that holly found around traverse town. however, after a chance encounter (that i cant get into bc its spoilers for holly’s fic), the original nature’s vow shattered and a new one replaced it, born from inside holly’s heart due to her desire to find and save lea and isa. holly loves nature’s vow dearly, which is why she could never see herself becoming a keyblade wielder, despite how many times lea has begged her to.

What’s your take on the Abi Strafford situation? She’s always been an enigma to me, she doesnt show up on anyone’s social media, clearly had no relationship with her brother or his wife (both her longtime coworkers). I always thought she was a “shy nerd” who didn’t mix with the drama at work. This article makes her look like a middle school drama Queen (the depiction of her issues with her brother especially).

I don't know Stafford personally, and my opinion on her dispute with NYCB is based largely on the Times article.:

I think she comes across poorly in the article--self-centered and petty. Her complaint is that she was passed over for leading roles and relegated to “understudy roles in the back of the room,” as her lawyer put it. This began to happen, she says, after her brother became NYCB's artistic director.

Why didn't she say, "when Wendy Whelan began making casting decisions involving me?" Jonathan Stafford is forbidden by the terms of his contract from having any role in such decisions involving either Abi or his wife, soloist Brittany Pollack. So why mention him? Because the siblings have had a strained relationship for a number of years. In the article, Jonathan says it began when he was first promoted to principal, back in 2007.

AS (Abi) also complains that she resented her brother's decision to follow her lead when she took up ballet. “I wanted ballet to be my thing, even when I was 6,” she is quoted as saying. “I was just always very resentful of [him] encroaching on my activity.” She also holds a grudge against Jonathan because he announced his engagement on her 31st birthday--“I was like, OK, he’s literally trying to make my birthday about him.”

She sounds like she can't bear to be anything other than the sole focus of attention. With an attitude like that, it's not surprising that she would be unhappy with anything less than prima ballerina roles. NYCB has some of them, but AS danced them mainly at the beginning of her career. In recent years, she danced more often in ballets with multiple principals, like Divertimento #15 and Emeralds, to name just two of the Balanchine ballets.

She also claims that she was scratched from the first performance in the Fall 2021 season of Ratmansky's Russian Seasons because of her weight. In fact, Whelan told her that the choreographer didn't think she was strong enough or ready for the first performance. After AS texted Ratmansky, he replied, “But please understand. There is a lot of partnering in the piece and it should look effortless. The men were struggling.” AS jumped on that and claimed that he was calling her fat and "body shaming" her. It sounds to me like she seized the opportunity to turn her gripe into a political issue, one that the media loves to harp on.

When she told the company of her decision to retire she demanded "a release from her contract so she could dance elsewhere" and three years' severance pay, to which she later tacked on $200,000 for "intense emotional distress." If she wanted to retire and practice law, why would she want to dance elsewhere? And why severance pay, which is usually given when an employer terminates an employee, not when an employee elects to retire?

My recollection of AS as a dancer is that she was first put forth as a prima-to-be, being cast in Theme & Variations while still in the corps, but after her promotion was mainly used as a utility ballerina, even before her brother took over as AD. She was never as prominent as other ballerinas who have retired recently, like Maria Kowroski, Lauren Lovette, and Tess Reichlen--none of whom, to my knowledge, made such exorbitant financial demands.

I wish her luck in her legal career.

OMG I CAN’T TELL YOU THE CONTEXT OF HOW THIS CROSSED MY MIND BUT:

MMA athlete falls for professional Ballet dancer AU.

Cass is the ballet dancer, Steph is the MMA fighter.

Steph’s athlete name is “Spoiler” because she is famous for knocking out people quickly, “spoiling” the fight by ending it too early.

In every other aspect, however, she’s a showgirl, smiling, dancing and playfighting before she climbs on the ring. A lot of competitors think she’s annoying because of that, but she’s never disrespectful, always bowing to her competitors before and after the fight, no matter the result. She gathers a lot of fans quickly because of her charm.

Cass is a very disciplined dancer. Very serious about her art, practicing all the time.

Adopted by the Wayne family, she had a tough past and has selective mutism. She can sometimes talk to Bruce, Dick, Alfred, Tim, and Babs if she feels comfortable. Other than that, she communicates with sign language.

She is in Gotham’s ballet company. (Maybe she dreams about going abroad, maybe she doesn’t, depends on what’s the main point of the fic really) She seems intimidating to anyone who doesn’t talk to her, but the few dancers that made an effort to know her quickly realized that she’s really sweet and helpful, always happy to help others improve their dance skills

Steph is dragged to a ballet presentation by her friends, Tim and Jason, because their sister is going to be performing and they are endlessly proud of her. It’s an original play from Gotham’s ballet academy, and she thinks she’ll be bored out of her mind, but when the presentations starts and the character called “Black Bat” comes on the stage, she has her eyes glued on the dancer, and when she steps out of the stage she keeps expecting her return.

Tim notices this, of course. He’s smart and he’s known this girl for some time now. He also knows that Steph has never met Cass and can’t wait to see her reaction when she finds out the dancer she’s already head over heels for is his sister.

Of course, Tim insists she meets Cass after the show, and she chokes on her spit when she sees Cass for the first time, in her Black Bat outfit.

She tries to be confident, but she’s a bit of a gay mess tm.

Cass finds her odly endearing.

Steph, upon learning that Cass uses ASL to communicate begs Tim for lessons.

She doesn’t even tries to hide her crush from him, she knows she won’t be able to.

She dedicates herself so much to the lessons that she picks it up surprisingly quickly.

Cass is surprised with how quickly she’s able to have full conversations with her in ASL, even if she has to take it slow and sometimes needs to pause and say things out loud that she still can’t quite translate.

All through this, Steph takes Cass to all kinds of amazing places that Bruce doesn’t let her go to in Gotham, because he’s afraid something bad will happen to her. Steph isn’t afraid of those places, because she grew up in worse ones, and now she can activey protect herself and Cass, so she takes her behind his back.

Steph teaches Cass how to throw punches and some more basic self-defence moves, and she’s too great at it. Cass tries to teach Steph some basic ballet moves, but she’s a complete disaster when it comes to dance, her body too stiff and used to the short and calculated jiu-jitsu moves, or the thightness and rapid moves from boxing.

Cass finds her attempts adorable.

It doesn’t take long for Steph to figure out that Cass can read her body language. She doesn’t think that even Cass fully knows what she’s doing, she just knows that she can always tell how everyone is feeling. Steph spends some time trying to find out why does she have such a skill, and doesn’t realize something very important.

A few days later she wakes up in the middle of the night when the realization hits her

“OH FUCK, SHE KNOWS”

She freaks out about it with Tim, who is just... “Why don’t you confess then?” - “NO I CANT WHAT IF SHE DOESNT LIKE ME” - “If she didn’t like you then she wouldn’t go on dates with you” - “Those weren’t dates?”  “They were to her.” - “Oh. OH.”

She runs after Cass, who’s training in her studio, thinking of this beautiful speech she’s gonna recite to her, but when she gets there she just... Blinks. Stay still, watching this beautiful girl pour her spirit into her art, allowing her to see this piece of her soul, and suddely nothing she could ever say would compare to that. So when Cass is done she goes up to her, placing a hand on her shoulder

“I love you.”

Cass signs to her “I know. Me too.”

“I’m gonna kiss you now.”

Cass nods

And holy shit, it feels like the world is exploding and rebuilding slowly.

After that, whenever she wins a fight Steph yells “This is for you, my Black Bat!” and throws a kiss at the camera or into the crowd.

Every one is confused as fuck, because they’re not out for the general public yet. They just assume she has a boyfriend with that nickname.

When asked about it by the local news, she just says “You really think I’m straight? With all of the effort I’ve put in all this? Kind of offended now, not gonna lie.”

And when Cass is finally ready to come out, everyone is like “Ooooh, that makes sense”

I don’t even ship those two all that much tbh, I even like to headcannon Cass as aro/ace (Although this would work super well for ace Cass too, I guess?) But they are the pairing that fits this the most in my mind. (Although Dickbabs could work too, or even Robinstar (Dick is the ballet dancer, ofc), and maybe even TimKon? Or Damijon? it could work with many ships if you really want to)

 Your home is the beautiful hidden city of Leira a haven for the wood elves to hide away from the cruelty of the outside world, each house was made from the wood of a different tree and the city was warded away from the rest of the world by a magical forest that never let anyone through its majestic depths, life in Leira was peaceful as it had been for a thousand years

you fucking hate it

ok maybe not the peace, the peace was nice everyone can agree that peace was if a little boring generally a good thing but.... well.... ok first of all that magical forest thing works two way no one can leave. ever. this didnt stop you trying when you were little you used to take off into the forest determined to see what was at the other side but no matter how hard you tried or how you navigated or how long you were walking or anything you always ended up back in Leira it was always the same you would end up right back at home and your mother would brush the twigs out of your hair and say how “silly” you were to get lost in the forest it made you indescribably angry but you didnt even understand why

growing up in this place was a nightmare, Leira was created by melora the goddess of nature so as you can imagine the culture of leira was pretty heavily dedicated to sucking her metaphysical dick, everyone’s a vegetarian and natures roams free throughout the city which is nice and all but when your late for school and you get stuck behind a 20 ton bear it easy to loose your fucking patience and it not like you want to kill an animal or anything but your desperately curious to know what meat tastes like. one night there was a big wild fire and a bunch of birds got roasted in the flames and yeah it was sad and all that but my god the SMELL! it was amazing and theres no way you can ever get any kind of meat since theres no privacy anywhere in the god damn city, you live with your family and streets are ALWAYS busy with people and even in the rare moment when theres no other elves around theres always some kind of nature around and since most of the elves if the city can speak to animals your pretty sure if you did anything too sacrilegious it would be reported before you could say “barbecue”. and the people ugh the FUCKING PEOPLE you mother keeps nagging you and telling you off for regecting all your sutiors but in fairness your not really regecting 8 or 9 suitors your regecting one because EVERYONE HERE IS THE FUCKING SAME THEYVE GOT LONG FLOWING HAIR THEYRE SLIM AND DELICATE LOOKING THEY WRITE POTRY ABOUT NATURE AND THEY PROBABLY PLAY THE FUCKING PAN FLUTE.

ok what the fuck is up with pan flutes theyre anoying to play and they dont even sound good why cant we just bang some fucking sticks together and make some real noise!

and the worst thing about it is that everyone you have ever met god damn loves it here if you go to a town elder to ask about if people can get through the forest he just pats you on the head and says some shit like “dont worry little one no outsiders will ever get in” and you have to fight back the urge to scream beacause NO LORENCE YOU DONT GET IT but you just nod and smile because if you say anything than you get branded as even more of a fucking outsider than when you decided to tie up your hair for the first time.I mean by the GODS what is wrong with tying up your hair? ugh you know whats wrong with it in Leria elves belive that hair should flow out beautifuly and naturally its common for full adults to have hair that reaches the floor and some elders employ neighbourhood kids to pick up their hair after them when they walk so it doesn't trail behind them on the ground but whoever decided that elvish hair was contantly elegant never seemed to be able to get your hair to obey. your hair constantly got caught on buttons and jackets and even door handles! your hair is only down to your waist and its already the biggest nuisance in your life you cant imagine it reaching the floor and always getting stepped on so one day you had had enough, you got some twine and tied up your hair you thought it looked pretty good but when your mother saw it for the first time my god it was like you were dying she asked what was wrong if you needed some kind of help and after she hear that your hair was getting in the way she decided to spend three hour THREE FUCKING HOURS brushing it which is not only fucking painfull but its the kind of stupid bullshit you were trying to avoid when you tied it up in the fucking first place. eventually people got a little more used to you tying up your hair there was always a limit there was always a “oh honey grannies coming round for dinner so dont you think you should take down your hair?” and its like ..... why? but becuase theyre your family you dont question it and let your hair down but secretly you think that maybe granny wouldnt mind it if you could eat without accidentally getting stray hairs in your mouth every....single...time you took a bite to eat.

buuuuuut theres some hope theres a legend of a warrior with a great connection to nature who must leave the safty of the city and defeat a great evil in the outside world and your determined that that person will be you you got to the libary at noght and read books on the outside world and FUCK it sounds so fucking interesting so different  so god damn DIFFERENT you read about beings who live between dimensions and every single member of there race is completly different to each other every single one is entirly unique some are good some are evil some have physical forms some are made of gas and some of them are just a mad pile of limbs I mean can you imagine? the very idea of beings like that sets you mind ablaze and your determined to meet one but the fucking problem with that is the the legendary hero is suppose to be able to connect with nature and you... struggle with that. you call out to the trees to obey your commands you try to connect with the animals and you appeal to the elements but nothing ever works its so fucking frustrating this is your only chance of leaving the city and you can even begin to make progress everyone in the city at least has SOME connection to nature there are toddlers that can make flowers bloom and you cant even bend a branch. everyone teacher youve ever had tells you not to give up and to keep trying and that you just need to look deep down withing yourslef and find the connection you dont know is there but that just bullshit the reason you can connect with the trees is because deep down you dont WANT to connect with the trees you know it and the trees know it why cant anyone see?everyone in the world from your teacher to your parents tyo the town elders to the fucking animals seemed to think that your just one attitude adjustment away from being a perfect happy elf “keep trying” they say “you’ll get it eventually” all your fucking life youve been hearing that but you know what? you dont want to be a perfect elf with long hair and a dozy smile you dont want to be the hero who connects with nature and is celebrated as the perfect figure you dont want to be here anymore! you want to eat meat and wear clothes that dont make me look like a plant obsessed ballet dancer and fight people with your bare hands and play the drums and do whatever you want with my hair and be FUCKING FREE

you sneak into the library the books your looking for is old and worn but within it is the ritual that you need. The great one Uthuctarr is surprised to be contacted by an elf but you get along like a house on fire. soon the terms of the pact are agreed you have the pentagram scrawled onto the library floor in chalk all you need to seal the pact is a part of your self, most people use blood but you have a better idea, you take out the dagger you stole, its carved out of bone it was used by ancient elves to hunt in the days when the world was new, functionally the bone dagger is everything the elves of Leira stand against but they couldnt destroy it without discrediting their precious history. its perfect, you undo the twine holding your hair and let the blond mass fall forward over your face. with your left and you grab a clump of long blond hair near the base and with your right you take the blunt bone dagger and cut. you hand is not steady and your hair is thick but that doesnt stop you and soon a huge chunk of blond mess falls away into the centre of the pentagram. you pause for a moment thinking about what youve just dont and you realise you can feel the night hair against your ears and in all you life youve never felt anything more divine you begin to laugh, truly laugh. not at a joke or out of politeness but out of pure unfiltered joy. quickly you grab another clump and get back to work. after a few more minutes of frenzied cutting your finally free of you long messy STUPID hair, you gather the hair into the centre of the pentagram and step back. suddenly all on its own the hair bursts into dark blue flames, the small is awful, you love it, from the fire a tiny thread of blue flame pushes out of the flame and begins to weave its way out of the library though the city and into the forest the locals are mystified but you know whats happening after all these years you are finally being shown the path out of Leira.

ABOUT NAT //

because im very upset about what the mceu did to my poor baby,,,, they did her DIRTY guys,,,,, my nat is much more heavily influenced by the comics

this means shes much more of a hardened, elite super spy, more cold and callous, etc... 

so here’s a brief recap of my version of nat’s backstory that i’ll be using: 

it’s sort of a combination of both origin stories. 

so i imagine. 

shes related to the last ruling czars of russian

when the place she was living in caught fire, her mother tossed her out the window and ivan caught her. he raised her as his foster daughter. he turned her over to the red room and she was raised & trained by them

she has false memories conditioned into her mind through psychoactive drugs, conditioning videos, hypnosis, and torture, of her cover story outside of the red room. aka as a dancer for bolshoi theatre. but she also learned ballet in the red room. 

after her red room training was complete, natasha worked for the KGB and was set up in an arranged marriage with her first late husband, alexi

she was told her husband died in a rocket crash, and donned for herself the alias black widow

it’s later revealed that all this happened when she was very young, natasha left at some point and married her second husband on a battlefield at war. where she confessed to being pregnant. she gave birth to her baby on the battlefield, rose, who was born a stillborn because of the serum and experiments that altered natashas physiology and rendered her incapable of having children 

her life’s been a constant string of. getting Fuckt Over by people. ivan at some point attempts to seduce her, plants nanites in her that spread to every person she touched, then every person they touched, and turned them into merciless monsters who started beating each other to death. shes been brainwashed by her masters countless times. and i mean,,, her entire training as a child revolved around her growing up to be a seductress and assassin which,,, okay nat. my poor baby. 

she tries very hard to be better. but at the same time she’s still,,, she does really shady shit sometimes i mean,,, she surgically removed her face and swapped it with yelena belovas,,, to give the woman a mental breakdown and convince her that shes natasha,,,,

soooooo here’s more about where i see her personality wise and where shes at in life rn:

if anyones read the 2019 Black Widow series, thats a pretty good indication of the kind of natasha romanoff i’ll be writing 

i listed her as cisfemale but ive always headcanoned that natasha would love the opportunity to explore gender in a more diverse way, ideally as a more genderfluid character, since she’s constantly had femininity shoved down her throat and was forced to weaponize it. but it’d take being around the right people and being in the right environment where she was comfortable to let down those walls. aka. might take a hella long time so it’s probably something i’ll explore with her in the future 

canonically natashas gone off to fight rebels in wars when she’s needed someplace to get out her black widow training and conditioning and murder impulse. i hc that she probably falls off the grid and goes to war every now and then to fight. it’s hard to have a family when she’s constantly fighting her conditioning and trying to repress her innate instincts to kill. between nat and maria, nat was,,, oddly enough probably the more absent parent of the two 

nat loves motorcycles. and guns. she also has a bad habit of stealing everyones clothes because she rarely wears anything of her own 

she has an issue with attachment. to the point she literally refused to admit she was adopting her cat, liho. but she’s started making an effort for maria and her family’s sake -- though she hates feeling like she has attachments to things/things that can be used against her. so she gets kind of. weird about it sometimes. 

no one knows about rose or her marriage save for a handful of people -- aka someone who had found out about it and blackmailed her with it. aka the daughter of the person who helped her deliver the baby on the battlefield. nat is also really weird with babies for this reason. 

my nat is an alcoholic. she’ll never admit it though. in the comics she drinks,,, every day. every time that she comes home from an assignment, she drinks. usually its wine but she’ll often go for harder stuff (typically russian stuff) when wine isn’t enough. 

it’s very rarely depicted in the comics (likely because she covers it up with sfx makeup) but nat has a red room tattoo on her left shoulder. she cant bring herself to remove it, because she wears her black widow name also like a badge of pride. she’s reclaimed everything that’s happened to her -- that tattoo is no different 

nat very rarely wears jackets. she doesnt need to. she got used to training in the bitter russian winter wearing next to nothing -- she’s very acclimated to the cold. 

she has flashbacks, particularly pregnancy related. also canon in the comics -- when she got injured in her stomach she had a ptsd episode of her stillbirth 

similar to my hc about her gender tho natasha hates bra shopping and hates bras in general. unless theyre sports bras. she finds them so uncomfortable and will only really wear them with the intention of seducing someone

i think the most important aspect of my nat tho is that she never does anything for just one reason. it could be the most simple action like. eating eggs for breakfast. but theres going to be a million and one explanations for why she specifically to eat x amount of eggs cooked x way on x day at x time for x meal. this is even more evident in relationships. sure, she does things out of the “goodness of her heart” but there’s always going to be ulterior (not necessarily malicious tho) motives to it, too. nothing is ever just. surface level with her. 

oh yeah shes also the worst person (or best depending on your perspective) person to bring to a party i mean,,, playing truth or dare? ur Fuckt. playing card games? look at that Poker Face n her ability to read people. playing board games? say hello to a master tactician who also happens to be a perfectionist overachiever and one of the most competitive ppl in the world thx

anyways thanks for reading all my rambles about my little murder baby aka the actual love of my life. i’ll probably remember more headcanons as time goes on. but thats all i can think of at the moment!! so yesss i cant wait to bring my murder baby to you to awkwardly and anti-socially love you all in her own way.

First lets talk about what first attracted me to him: his smile. It really is one of a kind. Its so wide and happy and his really nice teeth dont make it any easier for me. And he often scronches when he smiles, which is really really endearing and cute :( Oh and the eyesmile that appears. My legs go weak whenever I see it. 

Next theres his dancing. I dont really talk about this on this blog but he has a VERY unique style of dancing. Anyone who first sees it may think its odd or over the top but ?????? I literally can’t keep my eyes off him??? He puts so much passion into his dancing (probably his aries moon lol) and it really shows, both in his moves and in his facial expressions. He really knows how to snap his god damn neck back when he needs to and how to angle his head o and dont even get me started on his popping. And as a ballet dancer, seeing him incorporate modern dance moves into his style is so pleasing (Ive taken modern and trust me its really fun) Its so smooth but also very strong. idk how to describe it its just mesmerizing. 

Third, his b u s a n a c c e n t. I REALLY,,,,, its so fucking cute. Whenever I hear it my heart does flips and my pulse goes up. Its so cute. He just lets it slip. Like it almost seems like he doesnt even try to keep it in. Its REALLY prominent in flower snacc and though he still lets it out sometimes, its less often now. Probably bc he uses his seoul accent more. Have i mentioned how cute his accent is? It usually comes out when hes excited (eg the nyukyuhwall vlive) but it also shows up when hes calm and those moments,,,,, precious,,,, i lov him :(

Anyway Willa Holland's mother has been calling out olicity fans on Twitter because they were insulting Katie for no reason, and she called Katie a "wonderful actress". She then went on to state how she's well aware that the fandom "attack anyone who doesn't share their views".

She was accused of body shaming when she wasn't, because she used the word "stocky" which is used often to mean strong/muscle bound, and as a ballet dancer it's used a lot in her work. But oliciters were just applying negative connotations to the word because they had nothing else to use against her.

She said that "delighted doesnt begin to describe" how she feels about Willa's decision to leave the show. She heavily implied that there was behind the scenes drama that may have prompted her exit. When one of the oliciters tried to slander Willa for unfollowing both Stephen AND Emily on Instagram, Willa's mother stated that it wasn't her place to say what happened but it was far from what any oliciter was trying to imply. She then even sarcastically told an oliciter to "ask your good friends Stephen and Emily since they seem to practically be family." And even somewhat mocked a fan who was trying to form and twist a narrative by pointing out that the fan in question doesn't know the people involved at all, and has no real concept of how these people behave in their day to day lives.

(This is actually a viewpoint I've always held tbh. Celebrities are actually characters in their own way, I guess? I mean, you have the human being. The person they are behind close doors and the mannerisms and beliefs they don't share with the public. Then theres the public persona that they broadcast, which is how they present themselves, and is a version of them that is edited to some degree in order to market themselves. And then you have the role they play. So for these people to argue that they know Stephen and Emily better than Willa's mother is hilarious. They only know the public personas of both Stephen and Emily, whilst Willa's mother has first hand accounts from her daughter who knows them both personally.)

When asked to elaborate she said that it wasn't her place, but if she were to do so then it would "shatter [oliciters] narrative" completely.

She was then accused of not knowing "these people" at all. As if her own daughter hasn't been working on this show for nearly 7 years with these people, starting when she was a teenager. But clearly random fans on Twitter would have more superior knowledge! Yikes.

Oliciters then slandered Katie by claiming she had "family members to help her get her foot in the door" and doesn't have to rely on talent.

Willa's mum defended Katie again and said "Having family in the industry doesn't help you get work unless they are producers. End of story." And then elaborated with "My youngest daughter's father is a very famous film director, and he never lifted a finger to help his daughter or his step-daughter [Willa]."

So clearly, Katie's dad being an actor-singer (who was a deadbeat and wasn't around for most of her life and wrote her out of his will when she was only 17), is clearly not someone who had a hand in Katie's career either.

Anyway, the fact LITERALLY EVERYONE knows this fandom is toxic af and they STILL try to play the victim is hilarious.

I'll tell you a story, my mom was a dancer, as a kid she practiced with an oplympic trainer to ice skate and all but mastered ballet. At 60 this woman had moves most people will never have.

When she was younger, in her 30s, she was working at a club with a bunch of girls 10 years younger than her and she stole all their work and regulars. She went to leave one night and they were all so jealous they jumped her and mutilated her face. To this day you can see its not quite even and that was 40 years ago.

She didn't call the cops, she didn't go to the hospital. She got someone to help bandage her up, took 2 weeks to heal, which wasn't near enough time, went back in their with her face still all fucked up and stole all their work again just to prove a point and then quit. This woman is/was a savage beast. 🤣 💯

Things i want more of in sanders sides fics. (Im writing this with human au's in mind but this isnt limited to human au's)

Roman singing dancing (ballet hip hop tap any kind of dance really) acting voice acting/doing impressions playing instuments,specifically piano and harmonica. ALSO ROMAN STEPPING BECAUSE STEPPING IS LOUD AND DRAMATIC AF AND THE BEST THING EVER. And writing he's always writing. Stories,songs,poems,monologues from characters whose names he hadnt even thought of yet. He has multiple notebooks dedicated to his ideas and when he doesnt have any ideas,old or new,he gets exteremly frustrated.

patton playing precussions. Any and all. Patton throwing a ball for his dog and the ball going really far like too far ("i was always more of a thrower than a catcher" also patton with really strong arms just because). Patton the GYMNIST/CHEERLEADER. (Just patton doing flips and splits with a big bright smile on his face). Also patton singing things you'd never expect from him like songs by set it off and psychostick. Bonus points if the others hear it and are shocked.

Logan rapping and writing poetry,the poems he shares with the others are really deep and meaningfull and the ones he doesnt are also deep and meaningfull but also really cheesy and about his feelings which he has trouble sharing with the others anyway so theres no way he's ever gonna let them see those poems. ALSO LOGAN THE ADRENALINE JUNKIE like in that one shot from the uni au by @virgilsjourney i think,correct me if im wrong,where he retrives patton's picture and roman is filming the whole thing? That. More of that plz. ("Make no mistake,im the epitome of a mess" is my favorite line ever.) Also logan playing string instuments. Big and small. Any and all. Just whatever you think suits logan best. Tho i'd love to see him play the guitar or the ukelele or a mandoline or well you get it.

Virgil being a really good ice skater,(he's been taking lessons and practicing ever since he was a child,just because he wanted an excuse to buy and wear the "knife shoes". In the process he actually started really enjoying ice skating,he finds it really relaxing. As long as he's alone,of course.) Virgil playing the theremin cuz its spooky and weird like him. Also cuz its fUCKING AMAZING.

VIRGIL BONEBREAKING. In case you dont know what that is,you know breakdancing? Yea so like that,but on a whole other level. Its insane. As the name would suggest,the dancer seems to have no bones in any part of his body when dancing,and can twist and bend and contort their body in impossible and inhuman ways. (My sister has a friend that can do this,its honestly insane and can be kinda creepy but mostly its awsome). Virgil bonebreaking is just an extention of the flexable virgil headcannon that i absolutely adore.

Also here are some ways to combine some of these things in the same story:

Patton and virgil doing their warm ups together,streching and practicing new dance/cheer moves together,giving each other tips on how to improve and words of encourgement,logan and roman writing poems and sometimes even raps together,sometimes logan helps roman focus on certai ideas that need more atention and development. For example,logan read a monolouge and started asking roman questions about who is saying these things and why,guiding roman's train of thought in the right direction,preventing it from wondering off to new ideas. Roman always gives him credit for the stories and characters that these brainstorming sessions help create,but logan says the ideas are all roman's and refuses to take credit for them. He simply helped him focus. Roman tries to argue that without him he wouldnt even know where to start and they always agree to disagree over who deserves credit. roman and virgil having friendly dance competitions that get really intense,its the only times virgil feels comfortable dancing in front of anyone else. (The first time romab ever saw him dance was an accident. Virgil thought he was alone and put on some music and started bonebreaking and roman walked in on him and just said softly but in his naturaly loud voice "holy shit". Virgil tensed up. He was used to insults and even horiffied screams that one time but that was a reaction he never got before and he didnt know what to make if it. "Well dont stop on my account!" Roman smiled brightly at him,his voice enthusiastic and reassuring. "Unless you prefer i leave so you can dance in private." His voice sounded hesitent but he tried to cover it up with a wider smile. Virgil blushed and chuckled lightly and wordlessly continued dancing.) logan and roman giving each other crazy dangerous dares and neither one is willing to back out,sometimes patton and/or virgil have to step in and put their foot down when it goes too far,patton teaching roman how to do some flips and splits and other acrobatic stunts so he can incorporate them into his step routine,virgil using his theremin to make background music for logan when he reads his poems. It always sounds amazing and adds a whole new layer to the poems,virgil also using his theremin to play spooky music on halloween when the gang is all together inside the house and roman is telling scary stories. (Also here's a weird one) patton and logan like watching rwby together. They listen to the songs and notice that a lot of the songs have a rap verse in them. They never really agree to do this,it just happens one day when patton starts singing quietly to himself while only he and logan are home. "Come at me and you'll see,im more than meets the eye" he keeps singing,allowing himself to sing a little louder at some point,by then logan had already noticed him and was listening,he recignized the song was "burn" and smiled as patton was nearing the rap verse,and he got an idea. "I get what i want so dont bother and just watch me burn" before he could talk himself out of it,logan jumped in and started rapping. "Hotter than the sun,feel my fire,pyromaniac,my desire" the huge smile on patton's face was worth the discomfort sone of the lyrics brought him. Ever since then they like to sing a lot of the songs together. If there isnt a rap verse logan will usually just listen to patton sing,save for one time,where he couldnt help but sing along,the lyrics spoke to him,especially in patton's company. That song was "not fall in love you".

Thats a lot of shit. Maybe i should write my own damn fanfic.
