i’m not excited for s3 of tua like i was for s2. like s1 was so new and original and exciting ! i’ve watched probably a hundred times (in the first week it came out i watched it on repeat basically and every few months i would rewatch bc i really liked it). then when s2 came out i was excited but i’ve only watched it twice. it wasn’t as compelling the second time around ? like individually i liked the stories and how things unfolded and i was shocked at the end but ... it’s like it wasn’t as good ? even though i still liked it i was overall unsatisfied compared to the way i felt after s1. also it felt like s2 went too many directions at once. like ik the siblings were separated, but i feel like separating them really hurt the season, focusing less on the family aspect and more on the individual arcs of the characters (while at the same time completely skipping over specific character issues such as klaus hiding ben, five in general, vanya and the end of the world). these arcs were all interesting and i think they all came together in the end but ultimately the show is abt the family and ... s2 didn’t feel like it and it doesn’t seem like s3 will either.

also while i’m here i’ve seen a lot of discourse abt vanya and how she should apologize better about the end of the world ... like ... did we not all watch the same show ? she was manipulated and gaslit by her “father” her entire life. she discovers she has powers and is still not respected or even trUSTED by her siblings... the only person who treats her like a person was also a manipulative shit who just wanted her for her powers and a sick obsession w her family. and then she finally lets her lifetime of rage boil over and she’s blamed for ending the world ? and let’s not forget that the chest beam that shot the moon was bc The Academy intervened and stopped the concert. like whos to say that she had just been allowed to finish the concert w her family in the audience supporting her that they wouldn’t have been able to apologize and talk her down ? like just bc she flew off the rails it doesn’t make the way her siblings and “dad” treated her okay. like hargreeves was afraid and literally drugged her her whole life but since she blew up the world it’s ok ? like maybe if he had made more of an effort to train her skills she wouldn’t have been so enraged and caused the apocalypse! like ik stories need conflict but i just don’t think this is the right conflict.

like i don’t think vanya set out to start the apocalypse. no i haven’t read the comics or really any meta or analysis of her and her powers but like. yes she destroyed the academy (in the process killing mom and pogo) and that makes sense. she’s just discovered the extent of her power and is majorly pissed off abt the events that led to her being locked up by her brother. but it doesn’t track to me that she would also try to end the whole world. she goes to her concert and performs normally (albeit w white eyes)! she smiles at allison ! if no one (luther and diego) had tried anything she wouldn’t have had a reason to get angry and force the other musicians back to their chairs and cause the audience (and later the musicians flee ik) to flee. after the concert the rest of the academy could’ve approached her calmly and talked to her instead of literally suggesting to kill her.

I enjoyed doing this last week so this is. a thing now I guess. click through for roundup of whatever media I’ve been into in the past week (will normally be on thursdays I think bc that’s the day I’m usually free but my schedule this week was weird) (inspired by the tuesday again thing that @girlfriendsofthegalaxy does)

listening: the new Mountain Goats album Getting Into Knives is very fun and full of bops, for a given value of both “fun” and “bops” because it’s The Mountain Goats so it does have that edge of depression but quite a few of the songs are a bit more. cheerful? than a lot of their other stuff, for lack of a better word

favorite track is probably The Rat Queen

listening (podcast edition): this very fun episode of Overinvested tearing apart the new movie adaptation of Rebecca which I have not seen and was not planning on seeing but I do enjoy people smartly analyzing why things aren’t good and also I do love discussions about Gothic romance

reading: The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea by Maggie Tokuda-Hall is probably a very good book that someone else will enjoy very much, as lots of people whose opinions I generally trust already have enjoyed it. and I possibly will enjoy more if I give it another chance, once I’ve gotten over being disappointed that it wasn’t what I was looking for right now. the premise is neat! the worldbuilding is cool! the characters are interesting! mermaids, witches, and seas are three of my favorite things and also there are pirates, my other fave thing!

the reason I bounced off of it so hard is that I kept seeing it hyped up as a trans/nonbinary book, and then felt kinda let down when I started reading it and realized that the main character whom I’ve seen described as genderqueer is 1) dressing as a guy because someone else suggested it for safety reasons and 2) this was several years before the story starts and this character still refers to herself exclusively (disclaimer that I didn’t read the full thing but. as far as I got and also I skimmed toward the ending) as she and by her feminine birthname. and those things are fine, that’s a valid gender story, nonbinary people can absolutely keep their old pronouns and names and it doesn’t make them any less nonbinary, but the way it was framed in the parts that I read felt to me more like the old classic ‘girl dresses as guy for plot reasons’ thing, which isn’t something I personally wanted to read more of right now, especially not when I went in expecting something that would resonate more with my gender experience

watching: I’ve been rewatching Leverage, since I only ever watched the first season many years ago because that’s what was free on hulu at the time, and the thing that’s really getting to me is how fundamentally hopeful it is. like, yeah, sure, the premise of it is about how capitalism is designed to fuck people over and there is A Lot about specifically health insurance being really really awful. so there are parts of it that are a lil bit too real, but then at the end of the day they always win and punish the rich capitalists and help their victims and it’s just. nice to see that kind of happy ending

the specific episode I’m having lots of thoughts about is the Mile High Job, which is about the team is trying to protect a potential corporate whistleblower from being murdered by her coworker while on an airplane. at first they’re not sure what’s going on because they weren’t expecting two people from the corporation to be on that flight, so they don’t know which person is the one they should be focusing on. one of them is an anxious younger woman and the other is an extremely generic man, and from the moment they decided that the woman was the one they had to protect I was dreading the plot twist of “no actually you just helped her take out her target and you should’ve been protecting the other guy” which would’ve felt just. so mean-spirited and cynical but it’s the kind of thing I expect from media I guess. and then once it was clear that nope, that twist wasn’t going to happen, I expected her to turn around at the end and be like “actually no I’m not gonna testify against the corporation because I’ve realized how dangerous it is.” and I kind of hate that I’ve become so jaded by both media and also the real world that I’m so ready to expect the most cynical option, because I’m not used to stories about how even though the system is corrupt and oppressive and exploitative, people can still help each and they do and sometimes they make things better

playing: got back into playing Dishonored after taking a couple weeks off because I got stuck and frustrated and also kept playing for too long at a time and giving myself headaches. Lady Boyle’s Last Party (which I am going to completely and entirely spoil so if you don’t want that this is your warning) is probably the mission that I have the strongest mixed feelings about. I love the approach to the party, I love the concept of sneaking into a masquerade ball, I love signing the guestbook with your actual legal wanted fugitive name while wearing the mask that you commit all of your crimes in, I love a good fancy party mission I cannot stress that enough it’s the sexiest possible setting

HOWEVER. trying to sneak around upstairs fucking sucks because the ceilings aren’t high enough for there to be places to hide, like convenient hanging lamps or pipes to blink up to. my least favorite room in this entire game is that art gallery because you can get on top of the cases and you think you’re safe because you’re Up but then the guards spot you instantly and sound the alarm and the entire party shuts down and then you let them kill you so that you can go back to your last save

ADDITIONALLY, fuck the nonlethal option for this one. I hate it so much and feel so incredibly gross about choosing it but I also feel extremely not great about tricking her into meeting me alone and then actually assassinating her. the conversation is so uncomfortable that I tried to be like “actually no nevermind” which causes her to think you’re weird and creepy and she has the guards ““throw you out”“ which apparently in Dunwall is just how you say that she’s gonna have the guards murder you. but anyway. she's a shitty rich lady but she doesn't deserve either of the things that could happen to her and she's only a target because she's sleeping w a guy who sucks. she hasn’t done anything! she isn’t actually responsible for what happened to Jessamine or Emily! which works on a narrative level in my opinion because this is the last mission before you go after the lord regent and it’s becoming clear that the loyalists are just using Corvo for their own agenda and don’t actually care about Jessamine. but it’s still unpleasant to be the one enacting it, y’know?

also on a narrative level, I really like the concept of doing a clean hands run except killing each of the actual targets, because I feel like that would be a cool inversion of the trope where the hero kills a bunch of mooks and then refuses to kill the big bad because murder is wrong. on a gameplay level, I’m still gonna do the nonlethal options because I refuse to risk getting the bad ending, and I’m proud of the fact that I haven’t killed anyone since getting out of prison. I do wanna do a high chaos playthrough at some point though just to see how it goes, since I went low chaos last time too

sorry for writing an entire essay about Dishonored but. the funniest thing from that mission is that apparently if you get spotted by one of the maids in the basement where you are not supposed to be (the guards will immediately attack if they see you) instead of raising the alarm she just says “welcome to the party.” love that solidarity.

making: none of my cosplay stuff is at an especially picture-worthy stage and I didn’t get pictures of the pesto I made for dinner last night so there’s not gonna be much that’s interesting here but I did go to Spirit Halloween after Halloween when everything was on clearance and got a bunch of stuff that I’m gonna use for cosplay eventually

writing: soon I will finish the Eddis/Attolia Queen’s Thief fic that’s been rattling around in my brain ever since I finished the last book. hopefully.

Doctor Who season overviews

My friend is embarking on the wonderful journey of watching of “Doctor Who” and asked me for a rundown of what episodes she absolutely has to watch, my favorites, and ones that can be skipped. I thought I’d share them here in case anyone else was interested. Also I’m curious what anyone else’s thoughts on some must-view episodes.

(Will be updating as my friend reaches each season.)

Series 1

Definitely watch 1 because it’s where everything starts and you start to get a vibe for how the show goes. A fantastic place to start, if you will.

2 is a fun one with a plethora of aliens. If you’ve seen gifs of the Doctor jamming to “Toxic” by Brittany Spears, this is where that’s from.

3 is the first “historical” episode of the revival. Ok episode overall. Has ghosts and a bit an unintentional easter egg for future episodes/series.

4-5 are a bit silly but also I think have some good characterization of the Doctor and why sometimes he needs a friend to keep him in check.

6 introduces you to a classic DW alien so you should watch it.

7 is good to watch because it sort of sets up some stuff for the finale but I also find the guest characters kinda annoying.

8 is good if you want to learn more about Rose and that becomes more important to later stories and the next season.

9-10 is an all around fan favorite (certainly one of mine) and introduces a re-occurring fan favorite character. The reason why gas masks will forever make me uneasy.

11 follows up after the events of 4-5 (all three could be skipped if you want to go along faster).

12-13 are the finale and should be watched.

Series 2

0 (the Christmas special) is the first one with David Tennant as the Doctor, a muse-watch in my books. (Also, some things happen that become very important in later stories but I won’t say more because spoilers.) Introduces a new important character and re-introduces something

1 has cat people.

2 is a fun one and has an easter egg of sorts for future stories/characters but isn't necessary for major plot line. It’s one of the ones I like to rewatch.

3 sees the return of an old fan favorite companion from Old Who (before this still ongoing revival).

4 is skippable unless you like some fancy French aesthetic or are into automatons.

5-6 you should watch. Re-introduction of another classic Who monster.

7 is kinda weird.

8-9 are a good, kinda creepy story. Sees the introduction of the Ood, which are one of my dad’s personal favorites, who will also pop up later.

10 is literally one of the dumbest eps ever.

11 I literally don’t remember at all but the internet tells me it involves a small child, and Doctor Who does have some good, creepy episodes playing on stereotypical childhood fears.

12-13 are the two part finale so you definitely have to watch those. Prepare for some serious emotions, though.

Series 3

0 (Christmas special) introduces Donna Noble. Must watch, but I won’t say why.

1 introduces the new companion. Also introduces a kind of goofy alien that will pop up again.

2 is a fun one with Shakespeare and witches.

3 sees a return to New New York on New Earth (same setting as 2x01). Should watch because of [spoilers redacted] at the end. (Hint: think of who mysteriously disappeared in that previous episode.)

4-5, as the titles suggest, feature Daleks and imo all Dalek episodes should be watched.

6 is ok. Honestly kind of predictable plot-line.

7 is also ok. Not particularly memorable, but it is the first episode written by Chris Chibnall, who took over as show-runner for Series 11 (first season with Jodie Whittaker, the first female Doctor).

8-9 is a two-parter and is a fan and personal favorite.

10 is unusual because the main characters are not actually the Doctor and Martha, but this is another much-loved episode. Also introduces one of my favorite and most scary (imo) aliens.

11, 12, and 13 all kind of go together. Sees the re-introduction of an important character from the show’s original run. All pretty memorable and Martha is a total badass.

Series 4 (tl;dr: watch all of this series)

0 (Christmas special; you get the drill) is a good one. Sometimes there are episodes where the Doctor meets someone where you just know they’d be a fantastic companion.

1 is a must-see because [spoilers redacted].

2 is another must-see. It’s a solid episode of Who, is yet another good example of why the Doctor shouldn’t travel alone, and as a fun fact, we see two actors who will pop up in later series.

3, as the title implies, sees the return of the Ood! Watch this for some foreshadowing.

4-5 we see a new-to-New-Who alien who is another one that will come to pop up again over time. Honestly the plot and guest characters follow some predictable tropes BUT we also get to see some of [redacted]’s family, which is always good fun.

6 I think is only an okay episode. But meeting the “Doctor’s daughter” (not a spoilers bc its the episode title) is kinda fun. And I think it gives us some interesting insight into companions post their travels with the Doctor.

Also, weird DW fun fact: David Tennant and the actress who plays his daughter is the real-life daughter of actor Peter Davison, who played the Fifth Doctor back in Classic Who, are now married with kids.

7 isn’t integral to any major plot lines, but it’s no doubt a fun one, especially if you like murder mysteries or Agatha Christie.

8-9 are another must-see two fan and personal favorites for many reasons why, but I can’t go into because spoilers! Some good spooky eps that are really downright chilling at times, but not completely without some good comic bits. Love watching this with friends who are watching it for the first time.

10 does an excellent job of being creepy, which is good if you’re into it, but you can skip it if not.

11 is a good one with a timey-wimey plot. Also yay because [spoilers]!

12-13 are an excellent two-part series finale and that’s all I can say.

The Specials (mini series between Series 4 & 5)

1 is good if you like Cybermen

2 has a spunky one-off companion who is a lot of fun

3 is creepy af

4-5 are a must-watch two-parter. If you liked the Series 4 finale (and let’s be real, how could you not), you’ll enjoy this. Also, it’s the last episodes with Russel T. Davies as show-runner.

Series 5

1 introduces the new Eleventh Doctor and their companion, so definitely have to watch that. (Side note: fish fingers and custard is a weird combination but, speaking from personal experience, it’s not terrible.)

2 is a good one with debatable ethical questions and some good insight into the Doctor.

3 is another Dalek episode, but it’s only okay as far as Dalek episodes go. It’s a historical one, if you like those. Fun fact: it’s written by Mark Gatiss, a collaborator of new show-runner Stephen Moffat and guest star from “The Lazarus Experiment.”

4-5 you have to see because spoilers. But it’s very good. Also, has some plot points that are related to the overall story of the Ponds.

6 you get the gist from the title and honestly it’s not terribly exciting. Some fun bits about the new group’s dynamic.

7 is a pretty weird one tbh but should be watched we get companion character development.

8-9 introduces some fun characters that will pop up again every now and then and has a very important plot point. (Fun fact: this one takes place in the year 2020!)

10 is one of the more emotionally-driven episodes and deals with mental health. One of many fan favorites.

11 is lighter fanfare after some honestly pretty heavy episodes that precede it. Not really important to the overall plot, but it’s a fun comedic one.

12-13 are the finale, so obviously definitely watch that. Gets a little timey-wimey.

Series 6

0 is fine, as the Christmas specials go. I’m a little tired of the “man makes it his purpose in life to save his dying love who is kind of helpless in her own story” but the ending’s alright.

1-2 set the stage for the whole series, so those have to be watched.

3 has pirates, which is fun but not necessary to the main story line.

4 has such an intriguing title, so how could you not watch it? Will we finally find out if River and the Doctor are married? Spoilers.

5-6 are key plot points. Love a good doppelgänger.

7 follows immediately after 6, so I can’t say much about it.

8 is a pretty weird one but hold on to your butts for a wild ride.

9 is a properly spooky one. Like, actually low-key terrifying. But not related to the main plot line.

10 is emotionally painful but in a good way.

11 is another creepy one that plays on common fears. Inspired by some Greek mythology, which is fun.

12-13 are the two-part finale, so you know the drill.

Series 7, part I

0 is another only-okay Christmas special. They’re just not as fun as they once were, in my opinion.

1 you have to watch for plot reasons. It’s a good one because [spoilers redacted].

2 is pretty much what it sounds like. We are now also accompanied by Rory’s father, which is pretty amusing. Sees the return of a previously-met alien species. (Fun fact: one of the guest stars is David Bradley from, among other things, the Harry Potter movies.)

3 has some fun moral quandaries.

4 is fun because we see the Doctor having a go at normal Earth life, as well as thee return of some familiar arguably badass faces.

5 is a must-see for plot reasons (and the return of one of my favorite on-again-off-again companions).

Series 7, part II (don’t read below if you haven’t finished part I)

5.5 you have to watch and is a sort of mid-season Christmas special. Sees the return of an Old Who monster as well as several New Who faces.

6 follows up the events of the above special, so you have to see that, too.

7 is good because gives some backstory to Clara.

8 sees the return of another Old Who alien, whose species will pop up later in New Who. I didn’t particularly like nor dislike this one.

9 is a ghost story, which we haven’t really seen in Who for a while. It’s ok.

10 is also only ok but you should watch it for overall plot points.

11 we see the return of the Paternoster Gang, who I find quite amusing, but otherwise I didn’t really like this episode. It’s a little gross.

12 is written by Neil Gaiman so you should watch it. It’s also only fine, but better in my opinion than most of the other episodes in this part of the series.

13 is the series finale and has a rather intriguing title and wraps up this half of the series’ major story arc. Honestly I’m not a fan but you should watch it anyway.

Series 8

1 sees the return of the Paternoster Gang and more dinosaurs, but is also the first episode of the new Doctor and as such should be watched. Also have to keep an eye out at the end for some important scenes.

2 introduces a friend of Clara’s and reintroduces the Daleks but with a bit of a weird twist. Not super key to any main plot lines.

3 is pretty much what the title says it is. “Robot of Sherwood.” It’s meh.

4 is a little timey-wimey and develops some intercharacter relationships but overall isn’t exactly mandatory viewing.

5 is a robbery heist with some sci-fi twists. It’s alright.

In 6 we see Clara trying (and failing) to compartmentalize her life with the Doctor and her regular human on Earth life. It’s decent and there’s a snippet at the end that hints at some overarching plots.

7 tries to make some arguments about ethics but isn’t too convincing. The plot’s kinda fun, though.

8 is another one where the title, “Mummy on the Orient Express” pretty much sums it up. It does have a couple small throwbacks to older New Who seasons.

9 isn’t key to major plot lines but it’s a decent and kind of spooky episode.

10′s kinda dumb but has some weak environmental messaging.

11-12 wrap up the season’s major plot lines.

Series 9

0 is like a Christmas-themed reworking of a previous episode but I won’t say which one because spoilers.

1-2 are a pretty strong two-part season opener, I think. We see the return of some of the Doctor’s oldest friends/enemies.

3-4 are a properly timey-wimey, fairly creepy story. It’s a good one that honestly I wouldn’t want to watch by myself late at night with the house to myself.

5-6 are also timey-wimey AND introduce a character played by Maisie Williams (of “Game of Thrones” fame) who is actually pretty complex for a female character created by Stephen Moffat.

7-8 sees the return of, no surprise here, the Zygones. And also UNIT and Osgood, who is fan service personified but I’m ok with that.

9, in a way, is about the evils of capitalism but in space!

10 is important for plot. (Sees the return of some new old friends.)

11-12 has some good timey-wimeyness and a healthy dose of angst. (Also, the ending is gay and you can’t convince me otherwise.) It’s frustrating, but in an understandable way? I guess?

5. If you could pick any companion to travel with any Doctor, who would it be

this question is literally like an essay prompt to me 😔 but i’ll try to keep it as short as possible.

i really really really would love to see leela with the fifth doctor because !!! their energies!!! idk im just !!! about them as a concept... they’re like the “someone will die” “of fun!” meme personified..

i am legally obligated to say jamie and the sixth doctor because of those big finish audios.. literally they.... they played off each other really well and jamie has a humbling effect on 6 that makes him sort of soft and sweet (but still self righteous of course) that’s just kinda nice to see

i simply gotta say c’rizz and the twelfth doctor... literally just thinking about this made me tear up one night. it’s about self acceptance and the concept of what constitutes unforgivable actions and forgiveness of the self through forgiveness of others....... AAA

9. NOTP?

i hate to say it but a lot of the relationships in seasons 5-7 because those seasons were written with such a normalizing/romanticizing of unhealthy dynamics/such little respect for the women in those relationships mainly this is about 11/river that relationship was hhh dare i say it abusive.. however i can’t speak to river/other doctors because i know she does some big finish stuff that i haven’t heard that apparently is very cute and sweet and i’ll hold out hope for that...

16. Favourite TARDIS interior?

i love the original first doctor interior bc it feels a lot like a home in there? like he has sculptures and hatstands and just like. stuff that shows he and susan actually live in there which makes me :’) also i LOVED the eleventh doctor’s tardis interior it’s so warm and coppery and aaaa good vibes from that interior

17. How much classic who have you seen

all of it 😳 i watched it when i was little/growing up though so there are whole chunks of it that i haven’t rewatched since then that i just have little to no memory of. rip

21.) Tell us a funny Sonic-related story.

This one comes from the depths of my very first months as a Sonic fan. Basically, I had watched Sonic X upon its first Italian release as a very very smol bean. By the time I got obsessed again in middle school, though, I had forgotten everything about it except a few shots from the Italian opening theme and ONE scene from a season three episode, where Sonic and Knuckles played chess on a spaceship and then Sonic began running around and fell into space.

The “friend” that had introduced me to the show again (not a nice person and source of about 25% of my trauma, I’m glad to say I haven’t seen her in years) didn’t believe me and accused me of lying. Repeatedly. Unkindly. For months. How could such a stupid scene be in such an amazing cartoon? I must be trying to fuck with her.

Fast forward to the end of the year. I’m minding my business and I see a Facebook message from this friend, and another, and another. I click on it wondering what she’d be going ham over, and BAM. This girl had been watching Sonic AMVs on Youtube and had caught a glimpse of that scene at the beginning of a video and was fucking losing it over the fact that WOW, I HAD BEEN TELLING THE TRUTH ALL ALONG?!

Now, you have to understand that I wasn’t the kind of kid that swore, back then. I had been brought up to think that swear words would send you to hell straight away. And while not a delicate little flower, I was much, much cuter and more proper than I am now because I couldn’t live out my butch dreams quite yet. But I needed to express all the frustration gathered in those months.

So please imagine this baby-faced, straight A student 13yo wait for her friend in front of their school and bellow at the top of her lungs “BITCH, WHAT DID I FUCKING TELL YOU?”

I still remember that scene fondly, though.

31.) Tell us a Sonic-related story that will give us feels.

Related to the experience I just mentioned, the problem I had in my first years in this fandom was that this person who had dragged me into it was obsessed with the thought that people would mock us for it. She said it was for kids, and when she got over it she gave me shit for clinging to my passion while she’d “grown up”, and she had me enjoy Sonic in secret and yelled at me for saying anything even vaguely related out loud where other people could hear us.

It got into my head so much that for a long long time I didn’t dare share anything Sonic-adjacent on any social media, long past when I’d broke away from her. I thought no one would ever take me seriously again. I felt ashamed a lot.

It got better, though. Slowly, I broke out of my shell and started interacting with this amazing fandom, and I found lots of people who didn’t give a damn about what the world thought of their passion. And I know tons of wonderful people outside the fandom, too, friends who encourage me to talk about Sonic even though they don’t know anything about it. Chats where any mention of Sonic has someone saying “wait we must tag naivesilver into this she’ll love it”. It’s - it warms my heart every day. Tumblr is a shithole, but it helped me in feeling free to do what I love in the fandom that I love most.

Thank you. To everyone that got me through that, thank you. You have no idea how helpful you’ve been to me.

None I think???? There are some I don't listen to much, either because I haven't played the game or I just don't vibe with them, but there isn't any song that I particularly dislike. Almost all of them are genuine bops.

FOUND FAMILY!!! Adoptive parents, siblings, friends taking care of each other, I want a shitton of fluff in my life. And kid!fic. I could read (and write!) kid!fic every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. That's why I enjoy Chaotix and Sonic Movie fics so much. Let's raise them boys well.

As for hating...I don't like high school AUs lmao I wrote one when I was younger but I never dared touch it again and I haven't read any Sonic one since 2014 at most. And most time travel fics. Sorry, Silver, I love you a fucking lot but time travel shenanigans are only funny in the two or three specific settings my mind lets me enjoy.

I only finished my Sonic X rewatch yesterday and I’ve been meaning to make some final comments about it (tho it’d probably be me rambling at thin air bc I doubt I can say anything that hasn’t been already said over and over and over) but the most compelling thing for me is and always will be the music.

Don’t get me wrong, what I’ve seen of the OG Japanese version had wonderful, heartfelt music, but the upbeat themes I grew up with still have me vibing day in and day out. I can dance to the Italian opening sequence at any given moment - no, you know what, here it is. Watch it and feel the serotonin drip into your veins.

(Some people will come at me for this, but I didn’t watch this show in 2019-2020 to make an in-depth analysis about it. I did it to have a dance off while Knuckles beat up some robots.)

However there was something about Sonic and the Black Knight that just felt...new? Peculiar? I know jack shit about the technical side of gaming but I remember being extremely pumped every time I logged in to see more of it. I'd like to feel that again, when a new game drops.

Because as a JxH shipper that was spoiled both the ship and the ending, I'm always curious how ppl that didn't know what to expect react to it, regardless if they ship it themselves or not. Also, tell me your fave character, ship, fave season/episode, stuff like that. I love hearing what ppl think of this show lol

i knew some things but not how or when they happened (except eric leaving in s7, i knew about that and still UGLY CRIED)!! i honestly loved jackie and hyde together, they’re definitely one of my favorite couples, if not my favorite couple. i thought they balanced each other out so well and hate how s8 ruined their bond, it was almost as if their relationship never happened and seeing them hate each other again made me so sad. when they were together, watching hyde soften a little bit was so nice to see. jackie and kelso definitely were better friends in my opinion, they understood each other in ways no one else in the group did (probably because of past history), but despite their relationship failing i think their friendship was so sweet. jackie and fez made literally no sense and was way too rushed, but if they’re happy together i guess i can’t stay too mad at it (especially since it was only for like an episode). hyde and samantha was also a strange relationship, i feel like sam’s only purpose was to put hyde x jackie to rest for good. if they were going to keep sam in the show they shouldn’t have written her off the way they did. also idk if this is an unpopular opinion but kelso x fez low key should have happened but no one was ready for that conversation at the time. fez always seemed to worship kelso in a way he never did w eric or hyde, it would have been interesting to see them pursue something but after the buddy write off i wouldn’t have expected it. speaking of buddy, he definitely should have been a guest star more than once bc he would have gotten on so well with the gang. bi eric forman also should have been canon but anyway-

eric and donna had their issues, but at the end of the day i feel like it was expected they would be together. boy and girl next door fall in love, i mean.... it was always happening. they were cute in the beginning, but i do wish donna didn’t give up everything to stay with eric in point place just to have a complete 180 and have him leave when she was the one who always had plans to do things and he wanted her to stay to save their relationship. they kind of did eric dirty by making him seem like such a jerk by breaking up with donna OFF SCREEN and really without warning, that made me :/. but seeing them reunite made me cry despite them ending their relationship on weird terms. PLEASE DON’T GET ME STARTED ON RANDY HE’S THE ABSOLUTE WORST. he wasn’t a bad person he was just.... so annoying and served absolutely no purpose to the show except to annoy the living heck out of me.

i honestly can’t choose a favorite character!! even the characters who i didn’t really care for much still hold a special place in my heart (except randy, this is a randy hate club). i love hyde, he’s always been the man and has the best taste in music (also would love to work in the record store with him?). donna is so cool, she stands up for herself and doesn’t really conform to society’s standards and i find her so likable (also laura prepon.... gorgeous). i hate kelso for cheating but i feel like he grew up throughout the show, as much as kelso can (like seeing him step up for brooke with betsy melted my heart), and he makes me laugh so incredibly hard. although jackie was a little annoying in the beginning, seeing everything she went through like her dad going to prison and her mom leaving her, and how she sort of unlearned some of her Not So Great qualities made me appreciate her more (also mila kunis.... very gorgeous). eric is.... well, he’s the heart of the show whether you love or hate him; i like him even though he was a little annoying at times, but i think his redeeming qualities outweighed the negatives. i feel for fez, they played a little too much on the ‘foreign’ thing and after a while i felt that it was :/ especially since he’d been in the country for so long (red always calling him the wrong name just.... ehhhh), he’s quirky and adorable and i love him. even though red was.... yeah.... i still loved the one liners and he and kitty were adorable, kitty is the cutest mom and the way she treated everyone like they were her own kid was just so precious. leo.... i don’t have any words, he’s simply the funniest person and whenever he speaks i lose my mind. bob was alright, he was good to donna but midge deserved better (like when bob was mad at her for taking the feminist classes??).

everyone changed so much from the beginning of the show and i loved seeing the development even if it wasn’t what i expected initially. i can’t really choose a favorite season, i definitely need to watch one more time to figure that out. i love all the circle moments though. uhhh i don’t really know what else to say. i’m emotionally drained from crying over finishing this show. even though s8 was a bit of a mess i loved every second of consuming that 70s show and i can’t wait for my rewatch🥺🥺 let me know some of your opinions anon !! i could talk about this show all day

Includes: Zoe Monroe x Grounder!Reader Request: * Hi, I don't know if you are taking requests but is it okay if I ask for a monroe imagine where the reader is like the right hand to lexa and the reader is quite upset with the sky people as she was like a sister to Anya, being with her through the first war and mad about the 300 along with the village perhaps. Though the reader saves Monroe from Reapers, maybe, and takes care of their wounds with like a stoic romance. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, I just never see any monroe imagines.

Note: I'm going to need to rewatch The 100 at some point, from season 1 bc I can't remember shit

The snarls and incoherent yelling came to a halt the moment your blade slashed through its throat, causing it to only gargle and drop to its knees, convulsing wildly for only a few seconds before its heavily-armoured body slumped forwards, face first, into the now blood-soaked pile of dry leaves. As you crouched down next to the body, Monroe let out a shuddered breath, backing up to the trunk of the tree while you eyed her, slowly wiping the blood off the blade on the fur that the Reaper was cloaked in. The area of the woods was now silent, only a few deep breaths and sniffs came from Monroe before you stood back up and tucked the knife back in the sheath by your hip. Thin trails of blood rolled down her cheeks and down her neck before being absorbed into the material of her coat and shirt. There was also a cut along her forehead, one on her chin, a few cuts and grazes on her hands, and her trousers were torn at her left thigh were the Reaper had managed to cut her, slightly deeper than her facial wounds.

"Why did you do that?" She asked quietly, staring at the Reaper in fear, despite it being dead.

"Well, I wasn't going to put a bloodied blade back into my sheath, it ruins the blade."

"No," she shuddered at the lack of tone in your voice, or, perhaps, the small gust of wind that circulated in the area that you stood in, "I mean, why did you save me?"

"He was dead the moment the Mountain Men made him into a mindless, numbed monster. You're still one of the living, sadly."

"Are you going to kill me?"

"If I wanted you dead, I would have let the Reaper finish you off before I killed it," you answered her, looking down at her leg before looking back up at her face. "You need to clean those wounds."

"I'm fine," she replied quickly.

"No, you're not. I may not like you, or your people, but Lexa is my Commander and she still holds an alliance with your people. You need to clean those wounds," you told her again. Monroe nodded faintly and slowly began to stand up, but she quickly leaned back against the tree with a sharp hiss, clutching her thigh. Her eyes were squeezed shut, tightly, while her teeth were gritted as she tried to get over the pain. With the slight roll of your eyes, you stepped over to her and placed her left arm around your shoulders.

Quickly, Monroe opened her eyes and looked at you, panicked. "W-What are you doing?"

"You need help to walk, so, I'm helping you. Are all of Skaikru this stupid?" Monroe stayed quiet and, instead, let some of her weight fall onto you and she limped forwards, letting you guide her through the woods and back to the safety of Polis, where you took her inside the building and up to your room where you would clean her wounds.

The moment you placed Monroe down on the chair, she hissed and bit her bottom lip, whimpering quietly while you moved away and took off your armour and weapons, dropping them at the foot of your bed before you walked off to grab a bowl of warm water, a cloth, and some bandages. While you were out of Monroe's sight, she looked around your room, before looking to see what was on the table that she was sat next to. There was a small wooden box that caught her attention, which you noticed when you walked back into the room, pausing when you saw her pulling it closer to herself. Silently, you watched as she slowly opened it and frowned. Monroe gently reached into the box and pulled out a chunk of braided hair, that had a feather entwined in the slightly blonde strands. Her thumb softly ran along the hair before she put it back and pulled out a small, sheathed blade. Not wanting to waste any more time, you made your way over to the table and placed the bowl of water down.

She jumped in shock and quickly put the blade back in the box, slamming the lid shut. "I-I'm sorry."

"For what?" You replied once more with no noticeable tone in your voice, which seemed to unnerve her, while you placed the bandages down on the table and pulled a stool, that was at the side of the table, over to where you were standing, with your boot.

Monroe paused for a moment, thinking over her words before she pushed the box back over to where it was before, noticing your eyes following the box before you looked back down to the bowl and dipped the piece of cloth in it. "Everything." She looked away from your face and to the bowl. "For the war, for Mount Weather, for Ton DC… for Anya." When she looked back up at your face, she expected some sort of reaction, but she found none. "Clarke mentioned that you two were close, family, even."

"That's in the past now, it's time to get over it."

"There's never a time to get over the death of someone you cared about, of someone that you loved. I get that your people have to pretend that none of it ever affects you, especially you and Lexa, but it's alright to be affected."

"Allowing your emotions to control you gets you killed, haven't your people realised that?" You sat down on the stool and squeezed some of the water from the cloth.

"I guess not," she mumbled, allowing you to clean the blood from her face, once she realised that you aren't likely to open up to her like she thought you would.

It remained silent between the two of you as you worked on her leg, cutting the fabric of her trousers to get to the wound before you wrapped it. Monroe glanced at the bowl, that now had slightly tinted water from her blood before she hissed out in pain once you pressed the cloth to her bloodied, cut-up, knuckles. Her eyes darted to your face, catching the look on your face as you looked up at her from her hand. She quickly averted her gaze from your eyes when she realised how close the two of you were, and, instead, looked down at her hand that was still held by yours, feeling her face heat up slightly from the long contact between the two of you.

- and continuing on that note: apparently they’ve had a machine that can manipulate the rift in the hub......... the entire goddamn time. but no one thought to MENTION it i guess!!!!!!!! pfft, why would THAT be important??? right???? right?????

this plot bullshit almost makes me feel bad for how harsh i was about “cyberwoman” but, i will admit.... despite this Absolute Fucking Nonsense, i do find the jack and tosh storyline in this episode really fun and interesting. its just unfortunate that all the stuff arrrrround that is some kind of fic scrawled in the back of a kid’s math book.

- also the size of owen’s fucking NADS in this episode!!!!!!!! “Don’t compare yourself to me.” SAYS MAN CRYING OVER THE GIRL HE KNEW FOR ONE (1!) (SINGULAR) WEEK!!!! as opposed to ianto’s longterm girlfriend being turned into a monster and eventually murdered by his own team!!!! Like, i understand that’s owen’s problem actually goes beyond that, and its not so much about diane herself but about the fact that he let himself feel close to someone again after his fiancee died but for us, The Audience, watching this as it airs... we haven’t unlocked owen’s tragic backstory yet. and without knowing all that it just makes owen look really bad and like a huge fucking tool lmfao.

- NEVERMIND THE END IS GAY AND SAD AND Y’KNOW!!!!!! i am a man of simple pleasures, at heart, and so... i’ll let it slide. jack meeting his namesake knowing that he’s going to die and them having a moment is more of the kind of emotional content we would get in episodes of doctor who, and its Just Right

- in honesty, theres a bunch of stuff about this ep that i DO like. that tosh gets a prominant role for a change, while gwen gets to do fuck all. the whole Real Jack story. owen gets shot and pops a tit out at the end. its just unfortunate thats its all wrapped up in this rift thing thats been wheeled out last minute for a Big Season Finale with no real foreshadowing or build up to it at all lmao. but, moving on...............................................................................................

halsey is!!! i remember hearing badlands when it came out but i only really got into her mid 2018? i listened to hopeless fountain kingdom then and realized that badlands and hfk where both from the same person!! folklore is @/keepyourlife's fault, annika reblogged a bunch of things and just went crazy over it, so i listened to it. i don't listen to much else from taylor, i like getaway car a lot tho tbh. i saw mystery of love in a wangxian edit on youtube and went !!!!!! over that song, so now i'm obsessed with it.

1. i've got a bunch of favorite fics but _none of them are finished _and ajdkskks i do have some that are finished but i can't remember for the life of me what they're called. so here are five of my favorites: love, in fire and blood by cicer (which i'm recommending to all of my mutuals always) which is a 212K wip of immortal/yp!wwx + war prize au with no rpe/noncon but in the first two chapters lwj is afraid of that happening. it doesn't. then there is this time/universe/dimension travel fic called a song to bring you home by neoserenity, where basically canon!lwj who mourns wwx meets a modern!sick wwx and apparently there is no modern equivalent of lwj? or at least wwx doesn't seem to know one. the updates are sparse but i reread this so often in hopes that updates will appear. an arrow through time by syrus_jones is a young!lwj time traveling to post canon mdzs and pining after "husband" and wwx at the same time and feeling guilty over it bcs he doesn't know wwx is "husband" and then there is the murder of crows by cerbykerby which is a yilingwei sect au. here is a modern office au: hello, IT. have you tried turning it off and on again?* **by overmountainandmeadow, which us just really funny so i've been reading this for stress relief. i actually quote like time travel aus? also just wangxian meeting other versions of themselves is fun!! i have a bunch of modern college au tabs open but i don't actually seek them out, if i see one and like the plot then i'll read it. there are a lot of good time travel aus in this fandom!! also i like it when people get wangxian together earlier than in canon, it's just really fun to see how that would go. i don't remember the name but i think there was one fic where lwj tried to flirt with wwx and wwx just didn't notice? until somebody pointed it out to him i think? that was fun to read because lwj was just so frustrated!!

2. i feel like i forget what shows i watched after i watched them? movies too, though i like to stick to rewatching movies i already know. but here are some shows: dark on netflix, if you have netflix it should be there, it's a german netflix show about time travel and fate and things being really fucked up. basically there is this endless loop of the world apocalypse happening in 2019? 2020? i'm not that sure of the timeline rn but it's either 2019 or 2020!! and jonas, the male lead, wants to prevent it but this shit gets complicated because this is a time loop, everything he has done has been done before him. there are some really great quotes in the show about things, there is a wangxian gifset that actually uses a quote from dark, and that's the one about having three deaths. (i'll probably add a link to the gifset when i find it) also martha, the female lead, seems not that important in the first season but don't be fooled by that. the ending is.... complex and cool and holy shit there is still one thing we don't know and ahdkksks it's a surprise tho so 👀👀. i recommend watching it in german if possible and with subtitles. i've watched a few scenes in english and idk the voice actors don't seen to fit, but i don't know about other languages. the 100 is also a pretty good show but it's.... it has queerbaiting. and to be honest, the queerbaiting is probably the only reason the show made it to a seventh season. lexa, a lesbian, dies and they use her death for the queerbaiting since she gets together with clarke, the lead character. clarke is a character that gets a lot of hate from both fandom and the characters, a lot of unfair hate if you ask me. she has to do a lot of decisions that are just not meant to be for a single human being, @/solntserises and i and a lot of arguements over placing the blame on her or placing the blame on society and the situation itself. clarke basically does what she needs to do, what she needs to do in order to protect her people, her friends, her family. she often just doesn't have good options, and if she has then she deems the risk too high or something too good to be true (which, she often is right about???). after s1 her friends push her into situations where she has to make the hard choice, but if it doesn't work out how they want it to work out they get mad at her. which is not fair. i remember hearing that raven finally understands what clarke goes through in s7? but i haven't watched the season. i gave up the moment lexa died and didn't want to watch past it, but when @/solntserises started we watched the other seasons together.

there is also shadowhunters which is an okay show ig, i've watched vikings until s5 too and i quite liked it, prison break has a lot of cool stuff to offer but i'd be careful watching it in case of any triggers you might have. i don't remember 100% of the plot but enough to say that one of the characters is a pervert and an awful person, so lots of murder, a lot of blood and yeah. the two main characters are brothers and mostly innocent in this but yeah. they break out of a prison y'know.

lucifer is !!! i think it goes after dc comics? so ig it's somehow part of the dceu but they're like.... never mentioned so idk. it's really fun tho!! you probably have heard from the vampire diaries right? yeah well, there is a spin off called the origianls and it's actually really good. it had some times where i was going to call it off but it's fine, legacies is both tvd's and to's spinoff and from the quality it can't really compare, it's still fun to watch and seeing the new generation grow up. (also a lot more canon gays)

for some movies: i don't really watch many but i've watched every movie in the mcu so far, i have the extended special editions for both the lord of the rings and the hobbit trilogy, the half of it is about ellie chu, an asian girl living in a small town with her depressed dad and falling in love with aster flores, and just.... finding herself, finding out what she wants, who she is and trying to figure out where life takes her. the movie is great!! the romance process is really slow and not that much of the main focus, but more of ellie finding her place in the world? the old guard is a fantastic movie that i watched because of @/keiraknigthly, it's really fun to watch!!

I KNOW! i’m rewatching s8 of grey’s like “ahhhh such a shame the show ended on this season. but at least they all got a happy ending!”. every time callie appears my heart hurts bc she deserved so much better

I haven’t brought myself to rewatch a Grey’s episode yet, to be honest. I just…I realize it’s a TV show and people move on, but I feel I’ve been cheated way too many times. To begin with, not only did I have to give up on Callica and whom was one of my favorite characters just because she wasn’t ‘likable enough’. I’m not going to deny I was able to ‘forget’ or try not to think about how much it bothered me (because I had finally found a character and storyline I could relate to)…and anyone who knows me knows that I loved (and still do lol) Calzona and Arizona.

Callie moved on and so it felt that all the pain had been worth it (in a very twisted way lol). But yes, I was able to move on. To forget like you do a movie or a book that upsets you. It was still the same character, but I tried to allow her to have a fresh start in my mind. Because I loved her.

And then, the same story all over again. Hey, this person isn’t pretty enough, let’s get rid of her. Hey, we need more viewers, bring on the DRAMA AND THRILLS.l * rolls eyes* Who cares if we ruin the character so many people have loved for years and years. I’m all for drama when it’s JUSTIFIED, when characters don’t act out of character for an entire season. I’m up for drama when it makes some goddam sense. I loved s8 season finale, I’ll admit that. Heck, I loved how they found each other again in s9, but it wasn’t priceless. I put up with people saying how abusive Callie was. ABUSIVE!? Then I put up with the cheating storyline, just because that’s what happens in real life, right? And last but not least, the custody battle, Penny and all the sex/love connections for Arizona. And you know what? I can’t put up with anything else.

Well, Shonda, no. I realize this is real life and shit happens. I know it too well. But I refuse to believe that it happens in every story. I want to believe real love doesn’t end when one person loses a leg and needs to sleep with someone else to feel attractive or wanted again. I realize not all couples work things out. But look: you wanted to stay true to reality by having a cheating storyline (when you knew it would destroy Callie since it was the second time but ok) but you refuse to admit some people do forgive their partners. Isn’t that what love is about? Admitting mistakes and learning to forgive. Hell, sometimes stories can have a good end. Or should I say SHOULD. Because this story should have ended differently.

Maybe I’m supposed to be thankful because they finally gave bisexuality some visibility, but Callie was so much more than a bisexual character (and I’m saying this being bi myself). I realize I may sound stupid whining about the treatment she got, that she and Arizona got, even if Jessica still puts up with it or if things have gotten better. Was all the crappy writing, the terrible storylines, the very few scenes we got of them being in the same fucking room enough? Well, maybe for them and other millions of viewers it was, but not for me.

I realize Grey’s (as any other kind of business) is about money (among other things). And they don’t care as long as people keep watching. I even saw somewhere they’re doing a spin-off. Like seriously? lol Does anybody even care about that? But, as I’ve said many other times, it’s about milking the cow…so as long as there’re people who watch it and accept crap without demanding more, the carousel will continue spinning.

I cannot finish without mentioning Cristina and Sandra Oh. OH my god, if only Callie and Sara had received the same treatment. But you know what? I think it happened because Sandra knew exactly what she wanted, and she “stopped accepting crap and demanded something more”, a good exit, one that matched how big a character Cristina was.

I don’t know what happened with Sara. I do remember people saying they had to change the last episode on short notice. Maybe she got tired of the crap as well, and I cannot blame her. I’m just sad. Sad to see one of my fav characters ever leave like that, and to have been treated like that for years.

I love Sara and I still say I love Grey’s for everything it’s ever given me. But, as I said, I feel cheated. And I feel the price was too high, you know, to put my feelings into something that would sooner or later disappoint me. But hey, it’s like Callie Torres never existed now. People move on and the carousel never stops turning. And I’m just sad, or maybe angry, or probably both.

I’ve been reflecting

I’m not angry or sad anymore (i am a little sad im ngl), i’m genuinely confused at how d&d chose to end the series. All jokes aside, these men are not stupid, I mean they created the most successful show ever and did it gracefully for the most part. I have had issues with it ever since s5, but the GA seemed to love it MORE every year. Each year the show grew larger, more ambitious, more successful. And welp, by s8 it was a full blown cultural phenomenon that we haven’t seen in a while. And honestly, the story was right there, fleshed out for them, esp bc the mainstream audience doesn’t spend hours analyzing every detail of foreshadowing, and lbr, GoT has been more spectacle than substance for a while now. Why not have the long-awaited NK-jon confrontation, and some grand sacrifice by dany in order to win the war which leaves the throne free for jon (IK ITS GROSS BUT DO U THINK MOST CASUAL FANS WOULDN’T SCREECH WITH JOY? DANY DIES A HERO AND JON GETS THE THRONE, OR HAVE IT BE THE OTHER WAY) and there u have your bittersweet ending. It’s quick, it’s easy to follow, most people would be happy.

why on god’s green earth would these two men who were clearly tired of the show go out of their way to create this needlessly contrived plotline that, ultimately, left everyone unsatissfied in some way? d&d aren’t the best writers out there, but whenever thay changed martin’s plotlines they simplified things, they never made it more complex.

and the actual ending. god the actual ending. did anyone get closure? there was no closure. it all felt so hollow (maybe daenerys was the heart of the show hmmmm)

so yeah idk, im just so confused by their choices. listen im ngl and say that I now despise GoT and that I regret watching it bc it isn’t the case. I’m very easy to please lmao, and I made peace with the show being a totally different thing than the books a while ago, and I also made peace with the fact that ever since season 5-6 the show’s been mere spectacle, and I didn’t really mind bc I still loved those characters, I was invested in whatever story they were trying to tell, and as long as it was somewhat believable and was compelling I didn’t have a problem... but I, for the life of me, cannot comprehend how they thought that what they did this season was compelling. Do they really think audiences are stupid? Did they believe no one would question why euron greyjoy (OF ALL PEOPLE) shot down a DRAGON? also, what’s up with all the things they chose NOT to show? arya and sansa’s reaction to jon’s parentage? The actual aftermath of the Long Night (which rly just lasted one singular night I-)? SOME OF DAENERYS’ SUPPOSED DESCENT INTO MADNESS? how missandei got captured? what happened after jon killed dany? why did greyworm let him live? where are the dothraki? what do the lords and ladies of westeros think of the events in KL? WHO REPAIRED THE WALL? that’s just the tip of the iceberg, there are so many unanswered questions, and that’s just plain bad stoy-telling :/

and lbr, the storytelling has been bad for some time now, but this was their final season!! they had to go out with a bang!!! and they didnt!!! it’s literally the worst ending i have ever seen!!! of any show!!! (granted i dont watch many shows but eh) and that makes me incredibly sad, bc up until last episode I was willing to justify MANY things, to suspend disbelief as much as I could, but there’s a limit u know?:/ when your finale leaves more questions than answers, you know you did something terribly wrong.

And I, for the life of me, cannot wrap my head around the fact that a whole writing team came up with that and said “ah yes! perfect!” like these men were comparing it to the BB finale (THE DISRESPECT) I- I don’t have words.

Maybe this is Martin’s ending, but if it is then I hate the fact that they followed it. That doesn’t mean that I will hate his ending, but GoT parted ways with ASOIAF since like season 3; they should have known they wouldn’t be able to deliver the same ending in a satisfying way, simply because it is a different story. The characters are different, so many plotlines have been merged, simplified or just completely ignored, and that’s okay, but don’t try to copy an ending and force it onto a storyline that you haven’t been following. I love both for different reasons, GoT became its own thing (for better or for worse), and it should have continued to be its own thing till the very end.

my blog is a stark blog rn bc that’s the one thing that I didn’t LOATHE tbh. sansa’s ending mostlty. bc arya, jon and bran got mediocre endings for such amazing characters. but they are still alive, which is something that cannot be said for the female protagonist of the series (a big YIKES). i love dark!dany, if we get to see the creation of a villain while being in her head and rooting for her that’d be incredible, but jesus did they butcher it on the show. my poor girl couldn’t even die with dignity, she couldn’t get a proper burial, she never got a trial, she wasn’t avenged, she didn’t fight, she just DIED. and she died a fucking boring death like at least let her embrace her “madness” and take the world down with her.

so yeah, idk where im going with this, im just very confused atm bc they complicated a very simple story (GoT became fairly simple last season) RIGHT AT THE END..... Y I K E S

In fact, the stoy became so simple that I was worried abt a cliche ending...u know, all the supposedly good guys were at WF ready to fight ice zombies!!! and big ol’ bad cersei was at KL!!! there weren’t many ways to finish that story... god what i would give rn for a cliche ending lmao

don’t get me wrong, I still like GoT, I am rewatching the entire series and it will always hold a place in my heart, but I can’t help but feel cheated
