One of my favorite character moments (and the thing that immediately made me love him) for Apollo that I think is so intensely important to understanding him goes way back to Case 2 of Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice.

In that case, Trucy stages a “kidnapping” by using Mr. Hat to distract the court, and when Apollo rushes out into the lobby and sees her safe and sound…

He cries.

He’s so overcome with worry and relief that he cries for a girl he barely knows. A girl who, for all intents and purposes, almost cost him the badge he worked so hard to gain. A girl who focused most of the time they did know each other teasing him and not taking him seriously.

And yet, he cries for her anyway. He sobs, even.

It’s a throwaway moment, likely done for comedic effect, but it really hit me, and Trucy’s immediate earnest response telling Apollo not to cry and then him doubling down with protective rage on her behalf hit it home harder, y’know?

Apollo Justice, at his core, cares. Despite his surly attitude a lot of the time, this is nonetheless a defining trait of his. He cares, so much, and so easily, and we see it firsthand right there as he cries for a near stranger.

(And I also think it’s worth noting that the first time we really, truly see Trucy lower her performance mask and cry herself…it’s to Apollo.)

Y'know. The more I think about it, and this is hopefully the ONLY time ya'll will ever hear me agree with Heel!Balor, I really hope Damian's confrence was in the realm of Kayfabe and Monday Finn goes "🤨 Motherfucker, who said we were done?" and keeps shit going. Because as it stands right now as of me posting this

1) Compared to Liv and Rhea, and mind you I'm saying this as someone enjoying the Liv v Rhea story, the Finn and Damian rivalry got fuck all in the way of screentime? Several promos yes, but one match? I cannot think of any rivalry I've ever watched that ended after one match.

2) I mentioned this in a comment to someone else but it doesn't make sense to separate the Terror Twins if one is still in a Judgement Day rivalry. Like I get the whole "Yeah, we need to stand on our own" thing

But Creative really gonna have him sit here acting like Dom, Raquel, and Liv didn't jump his bestie's ass and will probably continue to do so??? After showcasing how close him and Rhea are and that they can and will do everything to protect each other?

Idk something about Damian's confrence isn't sitting right with me...

he was watching this one Prestige Drama on TV, about organized crime. and there's been multiple shots so far featuring a white horse riding through town on its lonesome, with an ominous music sting.

and I was like. "lol. gee i wonder what they're symbolising with him, huh?" because its fucking obviously symbolizing The Pale Horse. Symbolising both the literal death that the main character is actively participating in, and also the fact that he is both Antiquated and also In Charge of all this shit.

and my dad goes "no, they do something with him later"

and i go "that doesnt mean he can't still symbolize things?"

and he's like "yeah they just needed a random horse"

he doesnt even?? realize??? the symbolism exists??? and he doesn't understand subtext???

i thought this was a "i know writers who use subtext and theyre all cowards" moment because it was so obvious but he still didn't even acknowledge it was there??

hark makes the sun + stars

lythe and sar'kai make khetzal. sar'kai gives khetzal hunger

khetzal eats the sun. stars can now die. hark blames sar'kai

lythe forms planets from energy released from dead stars, including the mortal soil

hark creates life on the mortal soil, sar'kai creates death. hark holds a grudge

khetzal settles on mortal soil, lives among mortals as a prophet before withdrawing from society completely

hark tricks sar'kai, who is trapped in and corrupted by the mortal coil

sar'kai breaks shit. mortals call the trapped sar'kai noxa krov (destruction era begins)

noxa krov rampages, levels cities, empires and civilizations collapse

noxa krov destroys a town near a novice mage's hometown

the novice mage researches experimental magic, creates a spell to rend noxa krov asunder

spell goes wrong. noxa krov's soul is torn in two, novice is unmade, fallout levels surrounding area (including the novice's hometown)

novice looses most of their identity, coalesces as an almost-formless demon

sundogs begin to form due to power vacuum

trees are planet in formed crater, creating a monoculture forest

the two halves of noxa krov reform. one half forms underground (null) one half forms in the monoculture forest (nil)

some sundogs get word of the duo's possible existance, plans start to manipulate one of the halves in order to gain favor from sar'kai when restored

roach learns The Secret. fane and roach fight. roach seals self in creation-era crypt

panik + tyto find young nil, and tell nil that they need to find and kill their other half

the monoculture forest + cave system beneath floods. nil is driven from the forest, null is driven from the caves (start of cycle 1)

fane + bang find null. they do not tell null about being half of a god, but do tell null that nil and co are hunting them down

fane + bang + null go sight seeing. fane and bang obscure their whereabouts, sending nil and co on a wild goose chase

null eventually learns of their origins, tells fane + bang to stop hiding their movements

nil confronts null on a cliff overhanging the now-flooded crater where noxa krov died

after meeting their other half face to face, nil gets cold feet. tyto plans on supporting the decision, but panik causes nil to fall off the cliff and die

fane abandons duties of a sundog, decides to stand guard over null's petrified corpse. bang moves on

Khetzal, at this point convinced that the world is ending, has a bit of a breakdown and/or midlife crisis and suggests that the best course of action is for the four of them to go on a roadtrip together

Razar confronts Bailey and convinces her that indiscriminate murder is not the answer. Roach isnt as quickly convinced but is actually kind of sick of the whole death and entropy thing so goes along it eventually

Khetzal confronts the whalefall-esque corpse of the sun they ate.

The Sun tells khetzal [REDACTED] (end of cycle 4)

Heya, i wanted to ask that i am having a problem that when i start a project i find myself loosing interest in it on the next day.

Discipline is your friend. If i dont wanna work on something/im art blocked and things are just coming out shit, I’ll work on something related to it- if i’m writing, I’ll go write a different chapter or scene (i dont write in order half the time) or go finish whatever book im reading; if every drawing is just coming out bad I’ll do some traditional studies or colour picking studies instead. Or i’ll go gym and it’ll shake that weird ‘dont wanna work’ feeling off because ill start thinking scenes thru while i run or whatever. Im a creature of spite and force myself to work if im feeling lazy because my ancestors didnt get shot at and shit for me to not feel like drawing cats in my cosy Western home, so this advice is not applicable to all. I say this like i dont have 60 unfinished wips but eh. Try stick to one project at a time, i have a diary/journal where i write down what must be done each day- ie monday “line X piece” tues “do colours” to better see what must be done

watched uhh dorothy returns ro wizard of oz (2013) and i'd give it a 6.5/10 in general but entertainment wise i'd give it an 8.5 (tbf i was watching it with my brother idk how i'd rate it if i was alone) theres a part where they need a boat and dorothy snaps a piece of wood off a tree who yells in pain and then every tree there starts throwing rocks and acorns at her but then it cuts to a tree hunched over and hes like "take me... take me." and i csnt properly explain why it's so unbelievably funny. the line delivery makes him sound so accepting like he's really willing to die to help dorothy get a boat and i can't stop thinking about it
