I know some dickheads have now decided that Judaism is the "bad, violent, terrorist religion" and Islam is the "good, peaceful" one, which is only to be expected of white people, but how much of an issue is it currently? Like I've seen some USAmericans sharing how the Islamic faith shapes Gazans values and perseverance (good) except with that distinct white hippie "I'm about to imprint on this like the world's most racist duck" vibe (bad), but I didn't think they're already turning on Judaism in numbers.
Do they realize that Christianity is also the same kind of comfort to Christian minorities in Asia and Africa? That it was Buddhists that genocided the Rohingyas in Myanmar and Tamils in Sri Lanka? That Hindu fundamentalists are even now trying to ethnically cleanse Muslims in India? How Hindus and Christians are terrorized and persecuted in Pakistan? That Muslims have a history of persecuting and ethnically cleansing Jews too?
Really tired of asking y'all to be normal about people's religions man. There's no religion that's inherently violent or exceptionally peaceful. It's just like any other ideology that becomes a weapon in the hands of ethnic power. Interrogate power, not religion, and respect people's belief systems insofar as they aren't in your business.
Edit: I've amended the "long history" of Muslim persecution of Jews because it might be misleading in the current political climate. Zionism and antisemitic Arab nationalism are twin births resulting directly from Christian colonization, and Islamic empires tended to actually be more tolerant of other religions compared to Christianity, especially Judaism, which was considered a sibling religion. Antisemitism wasn't ideologically entrenched in Islamic tradition. It's simply that ethno-religious power will lead to ethno religious domination and intermittent cleansing of minorities, and Islam is no exception. Humans be humaning always.

anyways when i was a tween i was also a farm boy and lived in a village (i think population 200~300) and there was a guy that was fucking everybody's wife. not an exaggeration & everyone knew
We were fairly new and got invited to a party at his farm and my mother discovered that not only the guy was serial cheating on his wife, he was horrible to her. I'm talking public humiliation, turning all of their 10 children against her, the whole works. AND THEN during the party the guy started hitting on my mother, right in front of me and his wife.
Aside from occasional internalized sexism, my mom is a girl's girl. She was livid, started screaming at the guy and we left the party. I thought we were about to become social pariahs (and we would be. for three months) but things changed quite fast.
My mother, and our sweet old lady neighbour put the lady in contact with another lady that was recently divorced (for the sake of the story she is woodworking lady) hoping that it would help her see separation as a viable option.
It works well, and soon she's moving out of her house to crash at sweet old neighbour's place. I'm not too clear on the details but her absence from the house is quickly noticed, as her children realised how much weight she put on the farm/house compared to their father. On top of that, Their neighbour found out that she was the one making great cheese, not scumbag husband and turns out people forgive you less for fucking everybody's wife if you don't have tasty cheese.
Additionally, living at my neighbour's place meant that recently divorced lady was frequently meeting woodworking lady and my neighbour's son. aka our landlord (the only good one in my lifetime god bless him) . aka the faggiest faggot I've ever met.
Well two months later and woodworking lady is moving in the barn as well, and the two start a woodshop in there as the village's sweet lesbians. They ended up making a wood sign for my mother as thanks for the meet-cute.
We ended up moving out to another country, but when we came back for a visit we were updated that none of the children were talking to their father anymore and that, without too much details, the divorce basically ruined his life since apparently if you have 100+ people attesting to your serial cheating divorce courts are not super kind to you. lol

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).
He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.
And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.
No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.
Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)
He needs to be quick.
Efficient.
Perfect.
And so he comes and goes like the wind.
Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.
Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.
He'd rather he never be late ever again.
It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...
.
.
.
" Come on, let's get moving, traveler. We're not frozen in place after all. " Kaeya teasingly says. He stiffles a giggle at the traveler's exhasperated sigh.
"Yeah yeah, we've heard enough of you calling us a slacker. Can't you be a bit more patient?" Paimon whines at him.
Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.
He imagines hearing a clock ticking.
Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?
Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

Alright I'm going feral but let me explain when cannon era Javid hits, you gotta write about it
David dressing Jacks wounds and him pulling back and sucking in a breath, "Jackie you need to hold still."
"It hurts when you do that Dave."
"Well, I gotta clean it, Jack."
Jack rolls his eyes but lets David clean the wound. Jack lets his mind race with feelings as he feels bad for making David worry about him. "I'm sorry." He says quietly
David looks up at him, "Don't be sorry."
"But I can't keep you worrying over me." He bites his lip
"Jack I will never stop worrying about you!" David holds his hand in his "
"No you can't David, I'm not perfect and I can't give you anything back and-"
"Jack stop it! Don't say that about yourself, I don't care that you can't give anything back and I don't care if you're not perfect neither am I or even my parents, I love you, Jack, you gotta know that."
Jack's eyes glisten, "Are you sure?"
David locks eyes with his,"More than sure Jackie, I love you not matter what."
"I love you too," Jack whispers and feels a tear go down his cheek.
David kissed him gently and continued with dressing his wounds. After finishing and putting supplies away David leads Jack to bed and wraps him into a hug while saying "I love you". Jack looks up at him one more time and, "I love you too. Thank you."
"Of course Jackie, anytime."
