I. Merlin (2008-2012)

one of the first shows i ever watched from a streaming site (aka illegally online haha), tho i did start watching it while it was airing on our tv. i adore the atmosphere, the world, the characters, and the whole journey throughout all five seasons. it feels whole. the fandom here is also amazing, even if i mostly watch it from afar ♥

II. Theory of Love (2019)

am not really sure when exactly i watched this for the first time, but i have vague memories of the last ep or the special ep only having just aired. it was one of my first introductions to bls - to good and more thoughtful bls - and i loved it with my whole chest. after rewatching it a year ago, i can still say it’s one of those shows that has rearranged something permanently in me. 

III. Sense8 (2015-2018)

the show that feels like it was made for me. it’s just so full of things i love: fantasy, mysteries, action, character bonds, found family, love, acceptance, understanding, and even psychological themes. i love each of the characters very dearly and enjoyed all of their relationships with each other. i also loved what this show did with intimacy, both the emotional and physical kind, by showing how it can be a source of great comfort. 

IV. The Untamed (2019)

my first ever cdrama that opened up a whole new world for me. it became one of my first ever big hyperfixations, one of my great loves. it let me dive into the world of other cdramas and so even more great shows. and it brought me to many new things and ppl here on tumblr after leading me into editing and so to the mdzs network ♥

V. The Lost Tomb 2 / Explore With The Note (2019)

i cannot really pack dmbj into only one show bc each of the adaptations has given me something to chew on, but tlt2 is always my baby. it is the show that made me love pingxie, the show that made me insane about their story, and the show i would die for. it gave me serious brainrot for such a long time, and even if it’s not the best one of the adaptations, it’s still very, very dear to me.

VI. You’re My Glory (2021) 

i never thought a romance show would get to me but this one did in so many ways. it taught me some precious lessons and i think it changed how i see accomplishments, dreams, and working hard to reach personal goals. it gave me hope and strength, and it just made me believe in love that is comfortable and adjusts to your needs. 

VII. Bad Buddy (2021)

the show that changed me about a year ago. the show that somehow opened up a lock inside of me, that allowed me to feel new things, that comforted me and understood me. idk if any bl can ever feel as much home as bb does. little did i know that when i started watching this silly bl during the christmas it was still airing, it would consume me, heart and soul, and then lead me here, wrapped up in this bl world. 

VIII. Vice Versa (2022)

if there’s one show to define me right now, to define me for the past year, it’s vice versa. it’s everything to me in every sense. it’s a show i go to when i want to cry, or smile, or feel warm, or happy, or sad, or delighted, or comforted, or loved. it’s a show that feels like a hug, a show that heals me in all the ways i need to be healed. it means so much to me. and it doesn’t hurt that it’s still one of the most beautiful bls i’ve ever seen ♥ (i could write essays of vv, tho at the same time it feels like the jane austen quote, “if i loved you less, i might be able to talk about it more”)

As soon as you walked into the great hall at the start of breakfast, you could feel the tension radiating from the Slytherin table. The Slytherins, all more on edge than usual, eyed you as you entered, silently begging you with their eyes to help them with the invisible struggle they all were facing.

Deciding to bypass your own house table, you head straight for your boyfriend who seems to be the cause for the stress filling the grand room. You walk to his table, the rest of the students watching with baited breaths to see if you can resolve the newest cause of anger in the platinum blonde. Even as you approach him, he doesn’t look up at you from the far off grimace he holds on his tight face.

You call his name softly as you sit next to him on the bench. The only sign you receive that he had heard your call is the slight head tilt he does in your direction. If you didn’t know him as much as you do, you wouldn’t have picked up on the temporary relax of his shoulders that comes from simply hearing your voice. Even with this momentary action, you can tell whatever is bothering is more serious than your everyday stress.

The second call of his name caused him to turn his head toward you, the realization of where he is and who he is with flooding his face. The sight of him being so put out by whatever is making him feel this burdened makes your heart ache, but nevertheless you give him a small smile as a greeting.

“What’s goin’ on?”

The concern laced in your voice startles him, but he quickly covers it up with his usual smirk. “Worried about me, darling?”

You know the quip is a mask to hide the gratitude of knowing you care about him and are genuinely concerned on the reason he is so down. The foreign feeling of someone doting on him to make him feel better causes you to decide to drag him off the bench out of the room. Only away from the hungry eyes of watchers will he be truly comfortable telling you his cause of pain.

You exit the Great Hall with your boyfriend in tow, not stopping until you reach a secluded hallway a floor up. You turn after you stop to look up at Draco, a frown taking over your face when he refused to meet your eyesight.

“Draco?” He flinches when you reach for his face, grasping it and turning it in your direction. “Hey, look at me, please. Can you tell me what’s wrong?”

His eyes finally meet yours and you can see the distress filling the irises along with the need to let it out.

“I-“ He stutters then stops, you can see the anxiety flood through him with the way he fidgets his fingers. You move to grab his hands, intertwining your fingers together and loosening the noose he’s stretched over himself. “Father wrote me. He-” Another pause follows and you squeeze his hand in reassurance.

“You don’t need to tell me if you don’t want to. Just know I’m here if you need me to be. I understand things are rough between you and your father, you don’t need to hide anything from me. If you want, I could help you take your mind off things? We could go down to the lake, take a walk around the grounds. Or we could just relax in your dorm. Whatever you need, ok? If you need to be alone that’s fine, too.”

“No, I need-“ He stops once again and brings his hands to your shoulders, rubbing them to help get his point across. “I need you right now.” Suddenly, he takes a quick look around the hall, confirming the absence of the rest of the school before continuing, “can we, um, cuddle? In my dorm, please?”

The question surprises you, to say the least. The nervous look on his face makes you wonder if this is something that he’s wanted in the past or if this is a one-time circumstance. Regardless of the answer, you quickly nod and confirm to him that, if this truly is his wish, who are you to deny him.

With dinner still in process, you and Draco easily made your way to the Slytherin common room, slipping into the dungeon without detection. The main room, usually filled with both noisy and quiet Slytherins alike, was eerily silent, seeming to taunt the situation at hand. The usually crackling fire is talking softer than normal, almost like it’s trying to listen in to the conversation.

Making your way into his dorm, you take a moment to analyze your boyfriend of 18 months. The typical emotionless facade he constructed for the presence of others slipped away from his features when exclusively with you. The pleasant satisfaction of knowing, even in moments like this, he still trusts you enough to let his guard down.

Once you reach his bed, he pulls you down on top of it, immediately curling his arms around you. Surprised from his sudden actions, you relax into his chest where you feel him rest his head in the crook of your neck, relishing in the comfort your company gives him. You brush your fingers through his hair and squeeze him closer to his body, realizing how much this letter from his father must have impacted him without needing to know the contents.

“Draco, you know I love you, right?” You wait for him to look up at you as a sign of him listening before continuing, “and no matter what your father or anyone else says about you that will never change, ok?”

The small smile he gives you after hearing your promise makes every little bump and doubt on your side worth it. Every fight and miscommunication and resolution no longer seemed like a struggle but a journey. Your own personal love story.

Favorite Bob's Burgers Valentines day Episodes

I love reading nonsensical listicles so here is mine in honor of the newest valentines day episode!!

7: Bed, Bob, and Beyond s9ep13 I have no strong opinions about this episode that's why it's last on my list. it's fine but for me it's not very interesting but it's still a nice episode to have on in the background.

6: My fuzzy Valentine s3ep13

This is a cute episode. I love the "buckle it up" song it's my favorite. I sing it all the time when i'm running errands. I don't love Linda in this episode. I get a lot of second hand anxiety when Linda steals Basco's gun. Other than that it's cute but there are definitely better valentine's day episodes imo.

5: Can't buy me math s5ep11

for me this is a pretty good episode. pros: love daryl's song what a banger, "it's the romance of the century and it has nothing to do with yogurt" (idk why i love that quote so much), and my favorite part is Linda and Bob's advent calendar plot. I find it so cute and funny. the stripping scene is the best part of the episode. My only con is the second hand embarrassment i get from Tina when she admits it's all fake. I just skip that part when i'm rewatching.

4: Gene and Courtney Show s6ep7

I love when will forte voice acts in BB. I love the drama of all the teachers it's ridiculous and extra and i love it. I really love Courtney's development as a character in BB. i'm glad she's friends with gene in this and later episodes. Idk why but i like her presence. Gene and Courtney were really cute in this ep. Tina and Louise's plot was fun but not my favorite B plot. Bob and teddy are cute but i hate when bob has to spend a lot of money it stresses me out. gene's song at the end is the highlight. I tear up every-time "your heart's not broken it's only growing" like i love that

3: Romancing the beef s11ep11

i really liked this new episode. Maybe it's so high on the list because it's new idk. I just love episodes where the belcher's get a win. I thought jimmy pesto's exclamation of pride was really nice. I feel like in the last few episodes we are seeing that he really does think highly of bob and he wants him to succeed he's just a dick about it. I saw a headcannon where jimmy and bob teamed up and became really successful because jimmy is pretty good at business and bob is a great cook and i'm so into it. Tina's subplot was alright but i really loved the text she got. i don't love jj but i do like their nice moments together.

2: V for Valentine-detta s8ep8

I love this episode it's so cute. I love Nat as a character i'm so glad she's in other eps. I definitely wanna be Louise in her face makeup one halloween . there were no cons for me. i'm not a huge jimmy J and tina shipper so i didn't mind that he was a dick in this ep. i love linda and tina especially when linda says, "i'm not giving up tina" it's such a tender moment. I love quality bob and gene time and i got that in this episode. highlight of the ep was when bob tries to carry tina to her room. Never fails to crack me up.

1: Bob Actually s7ep9

classic bob's episode. this is one of my favorite episodes of all time. i just loved the vibe. the opening scene with the "stupid cupid" song creates such a valentines day vibe. I like how almost every character has their own little valentines day plot. there are just so many good things for me about this episode. por ejemplo, gene's fantasty life when he eats the chocolate, bob and teddy in a hip hop class, the roller skate dude and the mermaid girl, and of course Rudy and Louise. I'm not a huge Rudy and Louise shipper but they were really cute in this episode. i just love their dynamic Rudy is amazing i want him in every episode. even tina and jimmy junior were cute. like i said i just enjoy their nice moments together even if i like zeke more. oh tina's diarrhea walk was hilarious and too relatable. i have 100% done that no shame tina.

covering taeyong’s parts

tldr: i don’t usually do stuff like this but i’m highly caffeinated and have nothing better to do so prepare for a (very convoluted and long) rant cause omg im so fucking mad. 

so for those of you who don’t know, nct 2020 had a resonance vlive/concert last night (dec 26/27) and taeyong and jisung were unable to perform due to a back injury (herniated disk) and knee injury respectively.

I’ll mainly be talking about taeyong in this just due to his extrEmely large presence within NCT and also jisung was there to vocally cover his parts.

(also not to take anything away from jisung, however in the sheer amount of screentime and tracks ty is in, him missing is much harder to disguise within a performance with or without vocals) 

in order these are the members that covered ty’s parts in each song (tbh i may be forgetting some, but the point is look at how hard they had to work to even fill ty’s dance position within the concert, the boy is in like 50% of their performed tracks)

I’m not suggesting that he is replaceable in any way, shape or form. however as a person with two parents in the performance industry - and im sure that many of u understand just from general life experience -- the show mUst go on. when you have a presence as large as ty missing, it is undoubtedly going to take a toll on the overall energy and performance but i personally think that the boys fucking killed it -- especially with such a short turnaround from learning that ty would not be performing. (jaemin said that jeno legit had one HOUR to practice the beginning of maw (and by proxy the beginning of resonance) and that amount of talent and skill is unfuckingbelievable) but I digress. 

// there is nothing wrong with being disappointed that taeyong cannot perform. (get well soon ty!) he is an incredible performer and human being. there is nothing wrong with seeing (and understanding) that another member filling ty’s part is going to FEEL different, even if they do a phenomenal job. there is nothing wrong with feeling the difference in energy and performance -- there is obviously ANOTHER PERSON doing the part that we are accustomed to. there is nothing wrong with having a conversation and discourse about the performance. however... there IS something wrong with putting down members and harshly criticizing their performance in a malicious way. constructive criticism is one thing, but a lot (not all but an overwhelming amount) of what I have seen in the comments and the little bit of twitter i have been on has just been bashing members (one in particular) about their performance.

// let me get the easy part out of the way here. jaemin and jeno killed it during maw. yuta’s dance break, mark’s center time, jaehyun covering ty’s rap, and johnny stepping up to get stepped on (hehe i’ll stop now don’t mind me) were all surprisingly refreshing. yangyang covering lightbulb was (imo) one of highlights of the concert. for a rapper who often doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves he did a PHENOMENAL job covering the entirety of ty’s parts in his own way and conveying his emotions. yes, the members weren’t the same as taeyong, however, they added their own twist and their own personalities to it. it is in fact BETTER to do this and be remembered for their own style than attempt to emulate someone else’s performance. it is the sign of a great artist to take something and make it your own. 

// now, onto the two newest members. i will be candid about this. the biggest difference I felt within the performance was when sungchan and shotaro were covering ty’s parts. tbh this is to be expected (?). i’m not trying to put down the boys but the reality is that they debuted 2-3 MONTHS ago? all of the other members covering ty’s parts have had significantly more experience in every aspect of performing. jaemin and jeno may be about the same age as chan and shotaro but they have upwards of 4 years more experience (debuted anyway, and anyone can tell u that practicing vs the real thing can be a very daunting change) than the other two. the other members have performed in front of a live crowd, they have had time to deal with criticism and learn from it. they are just in every way more experienced, and although we expect great things out of all the members, it is simply unrealistic to expect the same level of performance out of members with 2 years less experience than anyone else on the stage.

shotaro covered one of the hardest parts in nct history - taeyong’s 7th sense. in every way - the rap, the technicality of the dance, the sheer charisma ty brings - this was a daunting task. him being a rookie DID show in the performance. this isn’t a bad thing. the tone of his rap did sometimes lack nuance and the level of sophistication that we know taeyong to have. however, i do think shotaro was the right choice for this song. you have to give rookies experience for them to grow, and a concert like this (even without a live crowd) is a great time to do it. (i’ll get into logistics later but bear with me)

the sad reality is that we’re probably not going to have large in person concerts for at least the next year and it will be a long time til travel, concerts, and simply life return to what they were before covid. it will be a very long til the boys get to perform on a stage with the energy of a crowd in the same way they have up til now. 

now sungchan. my poor bb sungchan :(

sungchan covered ty’s part is boss (and a little bit in misfit but johnny covered the first part and its more of a hype rap song than one with designated dance moves and centre parts). the dance (in boss) may not be the most technical but this is an unfORGETTABLE song when it comes to taeyong’s part. the beginning “nct leggo?” *chefs kiss*. from what i’ve seen sungchan is the one receiving  the most criticism (read hate) about his performance. look, i’m not going to argue that out of all the members who filled ty’s part he was the weakest. (im not trying to hate, but imo his performance was the weakest, u can disagree with me). he definitely less comfortable with covering taeyong’s part than anyone else was - including shotaro. i think most of the criticism is coming from the fact that he just looked anxious and unable to throw himself into the choreo and when comparing him to taeyong (who again just -- idk he’s unexplainable) his performance does fall a little flat. imo the rap was okay, his tone is actually somewhat similar to ty. i really think that most of the hate is stemming from the execution of the choreo rather than the rap. HOWEVER... calling him “stiff as a board” and commenting “cap” emojis does absolutely nothing except spread unnecessary hate. sungchans position is NOT as a dancer. he is only listed as a rapper. shotaro, however, is listed as both a dancer and a rapper. not to say that these listings are the end all be all of a member’s position, but because they are so new they are a decent representation of what SM thought their strengths were. we would love our idols to be aces at everything, but they are human and humans have their strengths and weaknesses. compared to taeyong, and also shotaro, sungchan does not have the technical ability nor the confidence while dancing. I’d like to believe that anyone who analyzes their performances and takes an objective view can understand where i am coming from. 

tldr: you are placing unrealistic expectations on a rookie who’s main position is NOT main dancer. you are asking him to fill the shoes of arguably one of the most charismatic and talented rappers, leaders, and centers of 4th gen kpop... as a ROOKIE. his performance is most likely going to show cracks of being relatively new to the stage. its okay to acknowledge that, but don’t be fucking rude when discussing his performance.

// when you are a performer you do open yourself up to criticism, it is part of the job. but criticism and hate are two very different things. to get where nct is today, every single member has to be humble enough to accept guidance AND constructive criticism. we all know how much the boys value nctizens opinions and take them into account when performing. when you are a performer like that you also have to criticize your own work. no matter what profession you are in, no matter what you do, you analyze ur own work and attempt to make it better. i can all but assure u that shotaro and sungchan (and all the boys) know their strengths and weaknesses, know when a specific move, performance, or other area of their ability is not up to par (or they just want to improve which is imperative to success in the music industry)

just be a decent human being. put urself in all of the boy’s shoes and think “hmm how would i feel if some stranger on the internet said this about me” before you make hateful statements. 

again, there is nothing wrong with having a discussion and understanding that humans have strengths and weaknesses, but don’t just put someone down because u feel like it.

(think about how many other songs the rest of rap line has to perform, logistically, who else are you going have cover the entierty of boss and 7th sense.)

rap line is: taeyong, mark, lucas, hendery, jeno, jaemin, yangyang, shotaro, sungchan, and jisung (?).  

everyone except lucas and hendery (and jisung but bb was injured :( ) covered ty’s part in some aspect. in fact, people not in the friggin rap line helped cover some of ty’s rap (johnny, jaehyun, haechan im looking at you) and other members covered dancing and center parts when they were asked to.

mark is in just as many tracks as ty and was RUNNING around to get to the next song this entire concert. you can legit see his outfit change with jackets and hats. he filled in for ty in kick it (group effort but u get the point) but in 7th sense just to the way that the song works and the dance etc etc, you can’t have mark doing his part as well as ty’s without it falling flat and taking a huge toll on mark. same with boss, marks filling just as big a role as ty and like, legit how do u give this boy mOre lines than he already has. (u can see that sm did a similar thing with jeno and jaemin in the beginning of maw, jeno covers the first part and then jaemin the rest of the song because jaemin can’t leave an open space at the vEry beginning of the song) (10/21 total performances)

lucas isn’t in as many as say mark but he is in boss and make a wish (boss being very hard for him to cover ty’s part, and jeno and jaemin covered maw. if i’m being completely honest i don’t think lucas has the same tone or technical ability to fit into ty’s parts in the songs as much as say - sungchan on a pure technical and tone pov (6/21 total performances)

hendery, similar to lucas isn’t in an absurd amount of tracks but still enough to tire a guy out lol. because of him performing full choreos in other songs it doesn’t make sense for him to learn a completely new choreo while simultaneously having to memorize and practice the others songs. also, in a similar vein of lucas, i just don’t think hendery is the first choice when choosing someone to cover ty’s parts (dont kill me hendery and lucas stans lol) (6/21 total performances)

jeno while jeno isn’t in the sheer number of performances as other members, he does end up covering ty’s starting part in maw (see reasoning for jaemin above). this by proxy means he covers the maw part in resonance. while he does a fantastic job covering the starting part, asking him to learn the entirety of boss or 7th sense would be a fuckton of work. u can legit see him yEEt himself out of camera view after his part - not to mention again that he had an hour to practice lol (6/21 total performances) 7/21 covering

jaemin - first off u can literally see jaemin’s energy fall throughout the final song the boy is so tired by aneyway... it makes total sense for him to cover maw as he already knows the choreo and it take less effort than learning an entirely new song. also, when ur comparing popularity/center time between jeno and jaemin vs. hendery (even lucas sometimes) they simply have more, and when u aRe in the center u have to expend more energy becAuse u are holding the performance together (6/21 performances)

yangyang let me get my yangyang simping out of the way, but this boy is so fucking talented and his rap deserves more praise. lightbulb compared to other songs ty is in, is a more melodic and emotional based song. there is no choreo, therefore the person covering the rap just has to focus on the rap itself rather than the rap AND the choreo. imo this was the best possible choice for someone to cover ty’s part in lightbulb (6/21 total) 7/21 covering ty’s part

shotaro shotaro is only in 4/21 performances. it simply makes sense for the rap line member with the fewest songs to perform to learn a a full choreo. as stated above, 7th sense is the more technically difficult of the songs that required learning and covering a full part. assigning shotaro (the dance line member) to the more challenging choreo is just the easy choice -- especially if ya’ll gonna come for sungchan’s dancing skills, give the damn song to shotaro smh (4/21 performances) 5 when covering 7th sense

sungchan tied with shotaro for the fewest performances (just by nature of being the newest members) in the same way that it makes sense for shotaro to learn a full choreo, it makes sense for sungchan. reasoning for the assigned songs above. (4/21 total performacnes) 5 with boss

// the songs where they didn’t have a designated member cover most/all of taeyong’s parts were in the 127 songs as well as in baby don’t stop (ten and taeyong duet). 127 is the most veteran of the nct subgroups, and is in general just more accustomed to filling in parts (ie winwin - screw u sm lol). they have johnny who trained as a rapper who can fill in, jaehyun, haechan, and yuta have all proven that they can cover rap with more a sing-rap style and mark can take/cover parts when it is logistically possible.

also: because 127 is a fixed unit all the boys know the choreo and have consistently performed it at concerts allowing for member to step in where they know they are comfortable without the amount of discussion it might otherwise take in a rotational group

// take a second to think about a certain performance without taeyong in it. it may just be me, but i think 127 fare much better without their leader than any rotational group without taeyong very (firmly ?) bolstering the performance in the center. (taeyong doesn’t hold all these titles for nothing, he is truly another breed)

// in baby don’t stop they didn’t even attempt to cover taeyong’s absence. idk if that was ten putting his foot down and saying that he didn’t want someone covering the part or if it was more of a choice based on marketing and fanservice. baby don’t stop is truly ten and taeyong’s song and idk if even pairing 10 with a dancer with ty’s vocal in the backtrack would have received positive feedback.

tldr: just be a decent human being. everyone in nct is human. a talented, multifaceted, human with strengths and weaknesses. being a nctizen doesn’t mean not being proud, disappointed, happy, or any other emotion about the boys. but it does mean treating the boys and other fans with respect.

fanfic reader/ writer that got you into reading? and writing? who got you into writing and/or reading? first fic you read and/or wrote? last fic you read and/or wrote? 

My best friend and I were fairly obsessed with the percy jackson series as middle schoolers, so I think around sixth or seventh grade she introduced me to a few pjo stories on ff dot net, but my enjoyment of fanfic didn’t really stick at that point, for multiple reasons:

ff.net's formatting makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out. even at that age, not having any other sites or archives to compare it to, i couldn’t stand it.

(prepare yourselves) halfway through seventh grade, one of our other best friends started lying to us about anything and everything, culminating in her creating a fake email account and sending us hurtful, accusatory messages from this fake person’s perspective. in order to prove that a) this person was fake and b) she was writing the emails herself, i found her ff dot net account and started reading her stories/author’s notes, the young sleuth i was. i then pulled snippets of her writing to compare to the prose in the emails, definitively proved she was lying/gaslighting us, and broke our friendship. i think ff, in my mind, was associated with her after that.

i was more into reading original novels at that time in my life, idk

I got back into fic when I was sixteen, during the first season of Riverdale, when I would watch the episode in clips on YouTube after it aired live (because pirate when u can, bb) while doing homework at my desk. I really loved Bughead starting episode 3 and was absolutely shocked by episode 6 (i watched their first kiss scene on repeat for at least an hour, and i’ve mentioned before that i start crying any time i hear that song). I would watch clip compilations and episode reviews/murder-mystery-theory videos on YouTube at night, and some google searching eventually lead me to Bughead fanfic on AO3. I really can’t remember what the first Bughead fic I read was. If I had to guess, it was either Fall in Light by @sylwrites or Something to Tell You by @findingbetty. honestly, though, i might just be misremembering, and those two aren’t the first fics i read but rather fics from that time that left a huge impression on me.

after, i want to say, a year of purely reading and commenting on fic, I decided to try my hand at writing my own multi-chapter (it’s still up, actually, and surprisingly has a higher hit count than a lot of my better works, lol). there was a period of time in which i’d given up writing this fic (and writing fic in general), but then I decided to finally make a tumblr and start writing again, and now we’re here. 

The last fic I wrote is the newest update of Pride and Publishing, and I honestly can’t remember what I last read. I kind of gave up reading Bughead fanfiction in the last year (a complete 180 from that first year of just reading fanfic when i would refresh the AO3 tag every day and read pretty much everything). I guess I don’t feel as much of a need to connect to these characters that way anymore? Idk. but if I come across a fic/update post on tumblr by an author i love then I’ll definitely read it (s/o to @ithoughtyoulikedmereckless, @heartunsettledsoul, @iconic-ponytail, @sullypants, @imreallyloveleee, and a ton of other authors i’m forgetting).

babe i have plenty of stories!! this is my fourth year as a waitress. this is my third waitressing gig.

the drink runner boy hasn’t needed to learn how to take food orders bc he’s on bar! a lot of the girls there now are going to uni in october and tbh three out of the six hired new starters are going to uni in october too. so basically the staff is gonna drop down sooner or later (some of them were actually leaving this week and last but the manager keeps putting them on thé rota? i think she’s pushing her luck tbh) so i guess he has a reason to learn so he’s ready when the staff drops down. ALSO. one of the ladies asked me where i was from and after i told her she goes ‘oh i thought i recognised you!’ and she told me the road she lived on and i told her i went to the highschool at the bottom of it and... god. she told me the drinks runner lives on the same road and i’m trying to figure out if i recognise him or not. bc i felt like i did right at the beginning and she set me off after telling me that but... man, idk.

my dog’s name is summer, she’s a labrador x springer spaniel. her mum was a fox lab (colour) so her springer spaniel freckles are this lovely goldeny brown colour. i say she’s ginger and my dad tells me off and pets her 😭 i took her off her lead today for the first time and she ate sumn 🤢 it’s too vulgar to tell you honestly.

i had a two hour break at work on monday so i went to the shops and bc where i work is kind of posh i felt like i had to buy something (also there’s two of the posh-er superstores so take that with a pinch of salt) so i bought a plant 🪴 lmao self control is out the window tbh.

and today i bought the dessert thingies the food runner lady let me try! they didn’t do a ‘selection’ multipack only multipacks of just one flavour (does that make sense?) so i got a pack of lychee, a pack of mango and a pack of strawberry (all the flavours they had) and am praying im on a lunch shift next week so i can give it to her when it’s not busy. or at least open them when it’s not busy and share (which is what i wanted to do today but i was planning to kill two birds with one stone and offer the drinks runner one too 😎 big brain. and the kitchen staff if they want some. i believe they’re thai dessert treats and it took me forever to find them (i ended up going to a warehouse for asian foods) but i’m happy i did).

What are all your Kingdom Hearts pairings?

I am so sorry I never answered this:( I kept meaning to, but every time I’d get distracted with family being over for the holidays.

I used to have a ton of KH ships, but I’ve kind of cooled down on a lot of them now (for some reason. IDK why I think I’m just not as interested in romance as I used to be. I still love it, of course, but now I value other kinds of relationships in series, too.) So for the most part, I’m really only going to tell you the ones I search for in the tags every day and maybe a few others.

SoKai is my ultimate OTP forever and ever. It always has been and it probably always will be. I don’t really ever see that changing. I should maybe mention that I also like the fandom’s invention (that I helped to create;)) of dark Sora and Kairi. And, yes: that even includes the rare dark Kairi… that I should really finish my fic of.

I love RokuShi a lot, but I’ve even cooled down on them a little. They used to be one of my ultimate OTPs��and to be fair, they still kind of are–and were my second favorite KH pairing (heck, there was a hot second where I even liked them more than SoKai. Weird, I know), but now they’re probably more equal with my other ships and most don’t even come close to reaching SoKai level for me.

Namiku. I love it a lot and mostly always have. RokuShi and Namiku are my ideal pairings when it comes to shipping Roxas, Xion, Riku, and Naminé with people. Though I do love RokuNami now, and have for a while.

Speaking of: RokuNami.

Terqua. But maybe not as much as the above. IDK. I’ve kind of flip-flopped on this one over the years. And KHIII really made me love them again… but at the same time, I’m okay with them being platonic and like siblings… which is apparently what their relationship in canon is, along with their relationships to Ven and vice versa. (According to the KHIII Journal and Ultimania).

RiKai. I ship RiKai a lot. And because this pairing is made up of tropes people usually love, so I don’t get why it’s not more popular. And sometimes Vennami). Then, it’s probably RiKai and SoRiKai at this point? With some of these others thrown in there? So, Star Wars Resistance... I saw the premiere and the subsequent two episodes that Disney put online. I’ll discuss my thoughts under the cut (expect lots of Autistic feelings on Neeku :V).

I don’t know if I’m just getting older and would’ve felt the same about Ahsoka and Ezra’s first appearances, but I’m kinda finding Kaz annoying for now. I’m sure he’s going to develop and get better at... everything, but for now I’m finding him kinda grating. Like, he’s got the immaturity those characters had, but he’s more obnoxious about it especially since he’s such a try hard and his awkwardness with everything got annoying for me quickly. But of course, the massive idiot always ends up being right or fixes the problem of the episode. Makes me wonder how he even is a good pilot and flying T-85 X-wings in the New Republic navy. :P The most interesting thing about him so far is how sheltered he seems with his parents doing everything for him until now.

Oh yeah, Kaz saying the New Republic is all he’s ever known and he wants to fight for it... can’t wait to see how he’s going six months later. :P

We got a little bit of information about the Republic and Resistance relationship actually stated in visual media, namely how they weren’t allowed to engage Vonreg and Kaz had to get rid of them, and how the New Republic isn’t a fan of the Resistance even if they’re kind of necessary to keep an eye on the First Order. I can’t help but wonder if Kaz’s dad is secretly a First Order sympathiser, given the novel Bloodline indicates a lot of the “centrist” (as in, they want to centralise power) senators were secretly FO sympathisers. We don’t know much about Kaz’s dad besides him being a wealthy senator, heck we didn’t even see him when he talked with Kaz.

Besides Kaz being too much of a doofus for my liking, my other big issue was... Neeku. I’ve discussed before that his Autistic coding is pretty blatant, and these episodes pretty much confirmed he’s quite stereotypical there. I want to like him, but I feel really uncomfortable watching him. I’m not sure if it’s just me being overly weary and internalised ableism talking, but the whole literal minded thing got old fast. Like, if the character had more nuance at this point I might find it funny and relatable (think PnF or MML in this regard), but Neeku is so stereotypical (right down to the fucking Sheldon style voice - wait what do you mean his voice actor was also on The Big Bang Theory) that it just leaves me feeling second hand embarrassment. I thought they were going to be more introspective when he gets upset and talks about how he finds it hard to get others... but nah. Speaking of which, I kinda feel really weirded out at how they basically used his literal mind and naivete to basically get Kaz into conflict with everyone by taking his boast literally? Like great job guys, I sure feel so much better about myself right there. :/ I also feel weird because they make him seem really childlike and really emphasise it, and people talk about how cute and adorable he is. It’s just uncomfortable. Also, Kaz taking advantage of his literal mind to deceive him and sneak off from work? I literally said “you dick!” out loud to Kaz there. So yeah, Neeku isn’t really working for now. I hope they develop him more because my gosh I don’t want to watch Star Wars Sheldon every episode.

Yeager is probably the best character so far. I like how he’s a wise old mentor type but he also already showing his more flawed side in how he’s trying to avoid any of the First Order conflict. I also want to know more about his time in the Rebellion, how he knows Poe and what happened to his family (don’t you DARE tell me his kid was kidnapped by the First Order). Also, him being more grounded I think really helps in the face of doofus pilot and space Sheldon.

Tam is good. They haven’t really done much with her yet, but I’m sure that will change eventually since she has expressed her own ambitions. Also I definitely feel bad for her since she’s genuinely hardworking and committed to her jobs only for that doofus Kaz to show up and fuck up everything. I kinda get vibes of the whole “loser male protagonist overshadows actually competent female supporting character” thing here, to be honest. Like obviously Kaz has to grow as the protagonist but wow, I feel bad for Tam (though I guess we’re supposed to).

BB-8 is cool I guess, always there to pull off nifty stuff to help. I guess Poe is using Kaz’s astromech for now while BB-8 has Kaz on the mission? Bucket is okay I guess, nothing too special yet, his intro felt very Chopper though.

Haven’t seen much of the aces yet besides Torra, she seems nice and I’m definitely curious to see how her relationship with Kaz develops as they become friends. Also wow Kaz, you definitely underestimated her, just because she’s the youngest and newest doesn’t mean she’s easy, she’s an ace for a reason you ding dong. :P

The other denizens of the colossus are fine, at least the location is well thought out and the world building is there. Nobody I’ve really gravitated towards yet.

Torra’s father seems creepy. I can’t help but wonder if he’s a First Order sympathiser, or will at least be a total pushover in the face of them. I think I heard something about taking control of the Colossus but I’m not sure if it was about him or I misheard, I doubt it would be so vague though.

Dammit, I wanted a sympathetic Neimoidian, but the dude has to be in league with pirates and by extension the First Order. Also why does he have to be so fat, why do the villains have to be fat (yeah you know why but meh)?

Elijah Wood’s character was something for sure. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him, I won’t be surprised if he ends up being a thorn in Kaz’s side in racing and mechanics or even works with the First Order.

The racing parts were pretty good, actually.

I want more of Vonreg. Of course we have to start small with those pirates being hired to do shit for the First Order, but he seems interesting. Also he’s got a cool voice, but it’s Lex Lang, of course I’m happy to see Dr Neo Cortex as the First Order’s top pilot.

Phasma is here, woo! Hope she is able to satisfy her fans here where she couldn’t in the movies. :P Also Commander Pyre is the gold stormtrooper, I wonder where he sits among the First Order if Phasma is always around for the important stuff?

Poe was cool, and Leia’s appearance was nice.

Why do the First Order want control of the Colossus? It seems pretty insignificant, but I guess we’re going to find out why it’s so strategically important with time. Definitely curious to the strategy at play.

OH YEAH also the racial diversity among the humans is pretty good too from what I can tell.

Overall, I’d say it was an okay start. It hasn’t got me fully into it like The Clone Wars movie or Rebel’s Spark of Rebellion did when they first came out, but IDK if it’s because I’m older or Resistance is aiming slightly younger. It has a lot of promise and I’m curious to see where it goes especially in regards to Yeager and the First Order’s plotting, but my gosh do Kaz and Neeku need development. I’m sure it will come since these Star Wars animated shows do show that patience pays off, but yeah. For now, not too into Kaz’s goofy antics. :P

Summary: The reader is a small hero from the city of San Diego called Taboo. When Bruce Wayne hears of Taboo and her powers, he attempts to recruit her for the Justice League. 

Warnings: Language, I wrote this in like an hour so there must be some warning there, a really lame attempt at a reference to Avengers: Age of Ultron, hopefully nothing else? References to the Justice League trailers? Idk, let me know if i forgot something.

A/N: So I thought of this and wanted to design a sort of hero anyways. She is kinda like Scarlet Witch with her powers, but more like Spider-Man in nature (If you couldn’t tell, I tend to lean more towards the Marvel sides of Superhero stories, but I still love the DCEU so when I re-watched the Justice League trailers, I had to). I will probably turn this into a series, and if I do it will still be mainly Justice League x Reader, however I might throw in some Barry Allen x Reader because not only did I already love the character, but Ezra Miller as Barry has me SHOOK and i love my little bb so much. Hope you enjoy!

Walking back to your Southern California apartment after a late night of crime fighting, you weren't expecting to see what you had.

You were a metahuman from San Diego, and when you finally gained complete control of your powers, you stayed living where you were, “why should New York have all the fun? There are plenty of other at risk places that need help, and I don't know if you noticed, I'm only good for stopping little things like robberies anyways,” you had told your best friend, (Y/F/N), at the time.

She thought you needed to move to New York and fight super villains just because you could use your mind to stop a few thieves. She was planning on moving to New York for a while now, attend college there and live out her dream of being an actress or whatever, and she thought you would join her. Use your powers to save all the tired New Yorkers like you had seen The Batman and Superman do on the news a few months back and all that. But you weren’t that kind of girl. You didn’t want to deal with villains, and you couldn’t stand the fact that those heroes thought that they were better than everyone else. It was obnoxious. You just wanted to be (Y/N), the girl from San Diego who liked art and cartoons, who just happened to have a side job of being the revered Taboo.

Taboo, of course, was your hero name. You didn’t really have to pleasure of coming up with your own name like a lot of the heroes nowadays did. You just woke up one morning to find that a picture of you fighting a group a thieves had been posted in the local paper and all over the local news channels, heroes like you not being big enough to ever hit the national news. Your black suit in great contrast to the light teal that came out of your fingertips, controlling the men who lined up to fight you with ease, your mask creased on your forehead, mimicking the way your face creased up in concentration. The silver of their knives glinted against the flash of the camera that took the picture, as one of the thieves was pictured flying backward, the knife leaving his hand. The titles read “Will the Taboo against heroes in San Diego fade with the coming of a new savior?”, “The newest hero, savior or Taboo?”, or your personal favorite, “Is it really Taboo to want someone to save you?” You didn’t know where the name came from, someone probably overhearing the word and thinking it was cool, and relaying it to the papers as if they knew you personally.

You sighed when you realized how cheesy your new name was, but you left it. As you got ready for your day, you headed out, your suit in your backpack as usual, and went for coffee.

You couldn’t help but overhear the chatter around you, most of it about yourself. You heard good and bad responses, those who seemed to like you, really liked you, and those who didn’t, really didn’t. You couldn’t help but travel through the mind of one of the men nearby who was very vocal about his opinion against you. As you sifted through his thoughts you found that he didn’t truly hate the idea of a hero in the city, but he was scared that a hero meant a villain. You knew that wasn’t true however, and as the line cleared in front of you, you left the man’s mind, ordering your favorite drink and a breakfast sandwich.

The barista offered slight conversation as he normally did, “Nice seeing you again (Y/N),” he started off with, as usual.

“I mean, I’m here every day, Cedrick,” you offered with a shrug and a smile, as he typed in your usual order.

“You hear about that new hero, Taboo? A lot of people don’t like her, but I think she’s good for the city, gives us a little edge.”

“Yeah, I think it’s definitely a good thing to have someone watching over us. She’s definitely no Batman or Superman though, I can already tell,” you responded. Finding your spot next to (Y/F/N), she brought her voice down to a whisper.

“(Y/N)! You’re all over the news!”

“This is not a conversation we can have in public, (Y/F/N). Half the people in here are scared of me, and a quarter of them hate me,” you said lowly through clenched teeth.

“I know, but it’s crazy, you’re finally like the heroes we always saw on the news.”

“No, I’m not, and if you want to keep talking about this, we have to go somewhere else. I’ll walk you to work.” As the two of you walked, she continued to try and convince you to move to New York with her. The more she asked, the more you declined. It really just “wasn’t your thing.” You loved the west coast, some powers and newfound attention weren’t going to change that. “I’m not going. The people of San Diego are already warming up to the idea of having a hero watch over them. This place is my home, and that hero is going to be me.”

“Fine, but when the people here are ungrateful and you need to go to New York to fight some stupid villain anyways, don’t come crying back to me.” She left for New York the next day, and that was the last time you two talked.

One year later, you still hadn’t made it to national news, a fact that you relished. You woke up every day, went to work, and patrolled the streets at night, finding a few crimes to stop every night. You rarely even made it to your local news lately.

As you finished for the night, around 3:00 AM, you opened the door to your apartment, turning on the light, and jumping in shock.

“(Y/N) (Y/L/N), Bruce Wayne, pleasure to meet you.”

“Bruce Wayne, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you’re the Bruce Wayne who owns Wayne Enterprises?” you said, the uptick in your voice indicating that it was a question.

“The one and only.”

“Cool, cool, but that doesn’t explain why the fuck you’re in my house. So you better give me an explanation real quick or I’m calling the cops. You don’t have any jurisdiction here like you do over in Gotham, Mr. Wayne.”

“Well, my reason for being here depends on who you are. I’m looking for a very specific person, who has some abilities I think will help me in my ventures.”

“Well, I don’t know who you’re looking for, but it’s not me, and your time for explanation is getting shorter and shorter,” you stated, reaching into the back pocket of your jeans for your cell phone.

“Are you or are you not, Taboo?”

You froze, slowly looking up at him. Quickly recovering your facade, you tilted your head, feigning confusion. “Taboo, the hero? Nope, you’ve got the wrong gal, not get the fuck ou-” You were cut of by the throwing of a weapon at you, you quickly lifted your right hand and encased the metal object with an orb of teal energy, the color perfectly matching the accents on the suit stuffed in the backpack you still had on your back. You brought the orb closer and picked the Batarang out of it with your left hand, inspecting it for only a second.

“You’re weird,” he stated, eyes transfixed on the orb now floating between the two of you.

“Batman, huh? I should have guessed that one,” you simply responded, looking up at him.

“I’m putting together a team. A team of people with special abilities. You see, I believe enemies are coming. Otherworldly beings, and we need to stop them. The fate of the world rests in our hands.”

“Yeah, um. No?”

“No? No what? You’re not going to help us? With all due respect, Ms. (Y/L/N), there are monsters, dangerous creatures, among us now. I’ve seen what you can do. To have those powers and sit idly by when the world could very well be destroyed is not something easily done.”

“No,” you stated again, with a slight shake of your head.

“Ms. (Y/L/N), I don’t think you understand the severity of the situation.” “No, Mr. Wayne. I don’t think you quite understand. I don't have training like you. I don't have the physical capabilities that you or the others do, let alone the mental ones. I'm a kid, I'm nineteen. I'm not some superhero like you. I stop robberies and bar fights, not super villains. The closest thing I have to a villain is the crazy guy on the corner of H and Third who gets too drunk and punches innocent people every once in awhile. I can't agree to join your little super team, because I'm not super.” You were angry that this man wanted to bring you into a fight that wasn’t your own. As you calculated your next move, you slipped into his brain, the concentration on his brain weaving teal into your irises. He seemed to catch on to what you were doing, and so he thought of what was happening. What he had seen that made him realize that he needed to get this team together in the first place.

That’s when  you saw it. You saw the horrors that he did, a gasp leaving your lips. You saw the destruction that was to come if the team didn’t stop it. You saw everything he had, and then you realized. He wasn’t bringing you into the fight because he was reckless, because he didn’t care about people like you. He was bringing you into this because he needed you. He needed you to help stop it. You saw the other people on the team, their names flashing into your brain along with images of them. Bruce Wayne: Batman, Diana Prince: Wonder Woman, Arthur Curry: Aquaman, Victor Stone: Cyborg, Barry Allen: The Flash, and (Y/N) (Y/L/N): Taboo. You saw clips of the others, agreeing to join the team, a man with long hair, angrily saying no, before re-thinking his decision, a boy, not much older than you, coolly saying yes, and another young boy, maybe two years older than the last, excitedly stating his acceptance. And finally, you saw yourself, through Bruce’s eyes, an orb of teal wisps at your fingertips, a Batarang inside it. You saw the power he saw, and you realized. Stopping robberies wasn’t truly what you were meant to do. You were meant to help save the world, with this team by your side.

“Fine, I’ll do it,” you stated simply, looking at the ground.

“Really? After that speech, you’re changing your mind?”

“I know everything you do now, you guys are powerful but not powerful enough to stop whatever that is on your own. You’ll need all the help you can get, now get out of my apartment before I change my mind.”

“Okay, great,” he said, a sigh of relief leaving him, “We leave for New York tomorrow.”

You smirked, lifting up the hand that still held the Batarang, “Now do you want this back, or can I keep it?”

hi Sunny. first of all i'm gonna say i love your story and your editing style so much! your blog is goals like literally. i need an advice if you don't mind. you always find such amazing angles for your pictures while mine are so boring. any tips or tricks you can share?

HI thank you so much ;-; sooooo i’ve been thinking about this question the past couple of times i went in game, trying to figure out how to describe how i take pictures. for one thing i live in tab mode lmao. meaning you press the tab button on your keyboard to go into camera mode and get all these sexy angles and super zoom and stufffff. i almost always zoom in super far idk why. so there’s one tip. i honestly just play around with going up and down with the q and e keys (i think?) until i find angles i like. i take a lottttt of pictures with so many different angles just so i have a lot to choose from. basically i try to focus on different things in each picture in order to get a mix of the most diverse and dynamic shots possible. you just need to experiment and get creative. i know that’s the most vague advice ever but really just try a new angle that you’ve never considered before and i bet you’ll get cool results. an interesting setting is also the biggest factor, because certain objects and their placements will give you interesting results. 

i honestly want to print out your reaction pic to that one post and just hang it on my wall, put it in my heart locket necklace, stamp it on people's faces, start an email thread with it. i love it.

how do you get your sims' facial expressions to line up with your scenes? I feel like my sims' faces are never right :(

tbh i just use a lot of the same neutral poses...my go-to’s are @helgatisha‘s poses lol. they’re the easiest to work with when i do just plain talking scenes, and often i tweak my sims’ eyebrows and mouths with the liquify tool if i want them to look a bit more concerned, sad, mad, happy, etc., it works like a charm!! i also tend to play around with angles, you’d be surprised how much a different angle can enhance a scene.

Ask 11 year old me this and the answer would’ve been Demyx in an instant. But as all mortals, I have grown and my skills have evolved, so for me it’s honestly probably Ursula the FIRST time (when you have to fire magic at her damn cauldron) or Hook in BBS. Oh Eraqus was a bitch too. Those three for me are the hardest story ones by far.

march: week 1

feb27: i felt good going to work this morning! i love going into the office. cole gave me sass when i got in and he bought doughnuts this week for all of us. yay (: my faves so far are the honey dipped and apple fritter. i worked on the non-recording parts of the videos while chatting about pokemon showdown with charles and cole. then the rest of the afternoon consisted of meetings. after my second to last meeting, i packed up and commuted home to wfh and wait for the 5:30 meeting i had. i waited 15 minutes for the train though so idk if it was worth it. as soon as i got home, i went back to work and then went straight into the meeting. after my meeting, i had the worst headache, my sinus was plugged, and my stomach hurt. i tried prepping for dinner but i stopped after putting away the dishes and took a nap. kevin woke me up when he got back from climbing and then i went back to sleep. then i woke up after he was done showering. i still felt like shat so i spent a good amount of time in bed while kevin made loco moco for dinner/lunch. i couldn’t eat because i kept spitting up mucus/stomach acid so i just showered. after my shower, i felt a lot better though. i went to bed and watched some youtube videos before going to sleep at like 11 pm or 12 am. kevin takes good care of me when i feel ill. i really wanted to exercise though...

feb28: i woke up a bit late and just took my time getting to work. i felt better-ish. i felt good enough to commute and work in the office. i got there at 9:30 am, which is not that late (i usually get to the office at 9:10 - 9:15 am). today was a packed day with meetings so i buckled down and did some work with ux360. hmm i’ve hit a wall on my project but i just need some time to think about solving this problem i’m having. it’ll work out -- i just gotta keep trying out things and keep doing rather than sitting and thinking. the rest of the day was packed with meetings and training. i got back home after falling over this elderly man. he had to switch spots with me and make the other people holding onto the pole move so i could hold on to it. i thanked him profusely. when i got home, i ate an apple hand pie and some chips. then i washed dishes and prepped for the one pot spring pasta recipe we were making for dinner/lunch today. :) it was surprisingly easy. i chopped us mushrooms, snapped asparagus, minced garlic, and then took the skin off the chicken thigh and cut it into pieces.

kevin came back later than expected because the barbershop was packed. he got us lemonade boba (they were out of green tea again) and they were alright. i disliked the blueberry one though. we finished cooking the pasta together (super easy) and then we microwaved leftovers and watched izombie while eating. we got to watch 3 episodes before he went to game and i exercised. i did a regular / ab toning workout today for 60 minutes. i did 30 minutes of hip hop cardio and 30 minutes of abs. i went to shower right after kevin and then i packed lunch for tomorrow and went to sleep later than usual at 1:15 am or something like that. we still haven’t had time to talk about our one week vacation in the spring/summer but we will get to it!

01: as i was crossing the street, my lunch box fell out of my bag? whut. did i not zip the bottom compartment this morning? LOL. someone scurried and helped me. i was very thankful. lol what’s wrong with me this week? it’s probably lack of sleep. anyway, i got to work and spent an hour or so doing personal errands online such as adding money to my charlie card, adjusting bank alerts, and shipping out goodies for two of my favorite people ;D so excited. then i got to work and then it was 12 pm... the rest of the day was just working. i left a bit early to catch an emptier train. when i got back home, i snacked again and then watched jane the virgin while washing the dishes and washing the rice. i finished watching and then decided to work out. kevin got back when i had about 8 minutes left and then he showered. after my workout, i cooked two over easy eggs perfectly ;D for our loco moco. then i took a real quick shower and ate dinner while watching izombie with kevin. kevin went to game and then i kind of dozed off while on my phone. i was really annoyed by the people upstairs. they were playing loud af music? stomping? dancing? and playing live music? i was so confused. you could feel the vibrations even in the hallway. i got real tired so i went to bed at around 11 pm, played some pokemon, and then went to sleep. i forget when.

02: i dressed like a bum today, but i was comfy. the office was so full. stephen was back and then matthew was here and yeah. it was nice. i did some work in the morning while chatting with charles and cole about macross LOL. then they had their tech thursdays with pizza. we were all teasing cole about picking up the pizza and forgetting the beverages. :P it was my first time experiencing it because they rolled the screen out. i had my lunch and watched a youtube video and then right after, experienced an interesting development in my work life. i think someone (also cole and kevin thinks) a now previous co-worker hit on me? not sure. i’m still confused but it was via linkedin and it was interesting. charles just gave me a shrug LOL. then we hopped on a call with all the new peeps to understand t7′s ux methodology and cole was panicking because he kind of forgot and didn’t have the go-to app downloaded and he was having technical difficulties. lol, cole. my work life is much fuller with him in it hahahahaha.

then i went back to work and got on the standup. oh, i messaged with jeanne and kevin a bit before and during lunch. i can’t wait to go to new yorkkkk. i was pretty antsy the rest of the day. i got cole to go to the kitchen area with me to get a free half a turkey sandwich. then we left a bit early to go to “au chocolat” and get some chocolate because cole went to get donuts in the morning without me :( there was so much to choose from but i got a turtle pattie (for kevin because he likes nutty chocolate) and a vegan, non-dairy, gluten free, etc version of peanut cups (pea not cups). then we split at the train station and i met up with kevin. the pea not cup tasted like sweet sunflower seeds and a bit like peanut butter? kinda not worth. we got home and then fell into a nap...until 8 or something. i woke up grumpy because i wanted to be productive this evening lol. we ate our minimal leftovers and then kevin made himself a quesadilla and then we watched izombie. then i exercised and kevin gamed. i think we went to sleep at our regular time...?

03: i thought it was going to be a chill wfh day but things changed and i had a lot of work to do. i didn’t get up early to exercise because i thought i could sneak in some of it in between video tutorials so i was a bit upset i didn’t because we were going to be on a bus for 5 hours T__T anyway, i worked my butt off taking minimal breaks and then kevin had a super chill day (literally) -- he went to work and had nothing to do and then came back and gamed. so i got pretty frustrated at him because here i am working and he’s kind of not helping pack and etc? yeah, he left to go to south station earlier than me to pick up food and to get away from my grouchy pants. i worked up until i had to leave. then i rushed to curl my hair, pack everything kevin didn’t get and my other stuff, wash the dishes, and leave. i got to the bus terminal probably 10 minutes before we left. at that point i lost track of time and i was just like ‘i’m gonna get there when i get there.’

we didn’t talk to each other for a bit and then we did. we’re going to spend 5 hours together on this train so it was pointless being mad. i ate my dinner right away and then we both napped. kevin napped for like 3 hours (wtf) and i woke up after 1 hr and 30 minutes... i listened to music, browsed the web, etc. then kevin got up, we listened to music together, he played pokemon, and we watched the newest episode of supernatural together (he got the stream at home and then we watched it on the bus). then we were delayed by like 40 minutes or something because of traffic but kevin said this happened to him last time. i guess don’t megabus after work on a friday. jeanne tried waiting for us which delayed her dinner time so i felt real bad T__T i’m sorry bb. it was also hella cold outside. when we got to our stop, we commuted to jeanne’s and had to walk through horrendous winds to get there. we were greeted by a slightly disgruntled jeanne but i was so happy to see her :)

we caught up a bit and i was amazed at her apartment because there is a fake wall separator for florence’s room that looks like a real wall. it’s so amazing. i met jisoo and florence toooo. we talked and then we retired after jisoo told us that she was trying to sleep haha. it was nice talking to friends in person again LOLLL. i’m so socially deprived, but i’m ok with it (sometimes i’m not). so then kevin and i stayed up a bit longer looking at rugs and bathroom mats on society6. then i charged everything and showered and brushed my teeth. i looked up a brunch place to eat tomorrow as well. we inhaled a ton of water. x__x my skin and my body was super dehydrated after the bus. maybe the bus brought it out because i was having trouble with my dry af skin these past couple of weeks. my face was so dry. anyway, i ko’d on the couch after i showered and i don’t remember kevin ever finishing his shower x___x i think it was 2 or 3 am.

04: i woke up at 10:30 am and it was dark...that’s because the living room is separated LOL. i saw peeks of sun coming through jeanne’s room so i knew it was actually 10 am. i tried waking up kevin but he was still sleepy so i just brushed my teeth and put on an aloe mask and then did some internet errands. then kevin got up and we tried getting brunch with jeanne but she was still commuting back home. so kevin and i walked to cafe henri in the blistering cold. my ears were throbbing by the time we got there, but the food was so good. we got a citron chaud (actually i just drank kevin’s) and i got a le poulet ratatouille sandwich and a honey crepe. kevin got their signature eggs benedict. so yummmm. we’ll definitely be back. after eating, we were warm and our bellies were full. we stopped by the chase nearby, stopped by a health store and i ended up buying tea for my stomach and pms, and then stopped by moma ps1. we were instantly drawn to the gift shop and then went inside to pee and look at all of the contemporary art. it was uhhh interesting -- i still do not like contemporary art. it was nice seeing artwork and walking around though.

we stopped by the gift shop again and got really into the cook books. there were so many and they were all so beautiful! we walked back to jeanne’s and chatted with her while she woke from her nap. then we got ready to head out to eat at momofuku! jisoo joined us and we took an uber. the wait was going to be about 1 hr and 30 minute and we had a party of 7 (jeanne’s friend with other friends). so we rq’d and found another ramen place called ‘minca.’ we had to separate because they didn’t have seating for 7 (almost nowhere in ny has seating for 7). anyway, it was delicious and we got the shrimp gyoza and i got the chicken ramen with veggies. kevin got the signature minca sio ramen. we all ate and then we chatted with john (jeanne’s friend), frederick, and jason (john’s friends). we all walked to kung fu tea and then got bubble tea and sat and chatted. everyone was so funny and nice (:

frederick went home when we all ubered back to jeanne’s. jenny, john (flo’s bf), and flo were waiting for us to play board games! we played a round of bang and i dominated ;D i won it for the outlaws hahaha. then jeanne and i went to the fitness center to do my 45 minute 500 calorie burner workout. we could only get halfway because they close the fitness center at 11 pm. -__-” i got jeanne to sweat though haha. we went back up and got everyone to do face masks. my skin is burning from the cold and also peeling T_T same with jeanne’s skin. then we played spot it and it was so much fun. i got kicked from my high pedestal after a while and got placed last. x__x then jeanne went to shower and we just sat and talked for a bit. the others played exploding kittens and then i just talked with jeanne and john. then i talked with jeanne for a bit before showering and then ko’d after talking with jeanne in bed. zzzzz. it was around 3 am when we ko’d.

05: i woke up before the alarm went off at 9:00 am. i woke kevin up, we packed up, and then we left. thanks for hosting us, flo, jeanne, and jisoo! it was a lot of fun even though it was a super short trip x( kevin and i hopped on the subway and then stopped by mcdonald’s to get breakfast and then stopped at subway to get lunch for the megabus. the megabus location was so cold because it wasn’t the terminal -- it was just a line outside. we hopped on the bus hoping to get the front seats but they were reserved. we still got pretty good seats near the stairs and the bus was pretty empty. kevin fell asleep right away, i fell asleep listening to edm LOL and then we both woke up and i watched youtube videos, read my new love unknown book and then listened to some more music. kevin played pokemon and i eventually ate half of my subway sandwich. i got a very healthy turkey breast with veggies on multigrain bread sub huhuhu. i dozed off a bit and then decided to put on a face mask. kevin checked our location and realized that we were gonna get to south station 40 minutes before our estimated time of arrival?! we apparently got on the 11 am boston bus instead of the 11:40 am LOL.

we took the train home and then kevin went to shower right away, i put on the latest episode of reign and unpacked. then we meal planned and i showered and then we went to get groceries. it was a super fast grocery trip because we’re eating out a lot this upcoming week. we came back and then made ketchup spaghetti and it is delicious! i ate the other half of my subway and then ate a bit of the spaghetti. my appetite is messed up again? i’m eating and snacking a lot for some reason. we also got a good amount of snacks: pepero, pineapple cake, baked asian cracker chips, and yeah...mmm. kevin went to meet up with priya and then i chilled for a bit before cleaning the kitchen and bathroom thoroughly. then i did my 45 minute 500 calorie blaster workout, showered, and finished laundry. oh, i started two loads of laundry and then folded everything and then put everything away and made the bed before ko’ing before 1 am in the bed. i was too tired to wait for kevin to get back lol. he did get back and i woke up because i had to pee and my legs were cold. then i ko’d again. :)
