rewatched sonic 3 last night, still gets me gripping my plushie's hand entire length. have some studies and doodles I forgot to include in the last art dump
#get yourself a partner that looks at you the same way this hedgehog looks at his sister#the movie redraws might not seem to have anything interesting in them at first but in fact i was blending the colors manually#like. going all around the color circle just to figure out how to blend colors myself without picking them from the screencaps lol#my favourite art activity#and i wasnt using any blending/soft brush tools#every. single. strand. of. fur. drawn. manually.#it felt like drawing an entire rendered picture with just dots. not very sane of me#i also messed around with ear positions because i swear they made them too stiff and expressionless#... or i like making them over-expressive. oh well#sonic#sonic 3#shadow the hedgehog#maria robotnik#intrigued by his fur having blue highlights in the movie#also im pretty sure both sonic and shadow have the ear tufts there??#that one posts only highlights shadows tufts but now i noticed sonics fur also forming ones so idk now#now onto checking polish dubbing again because i have no idea whether the 'ultimate lifeform' line drops there or not anymore#i was convinced they didnt call shadow an ultimate lifeform at all in the movie because i couldnt recall hearing it

I know the game had restrictions and restraints and couldnt focus on non plot stuff, but I really wish we got more on their relationship/alliance. And honestly just more for Sithe as well. They had a really cool thing going for her but she didn’t do much at all :((( I think she had the potential to be super interesting. But at least I can dream…
Anyways I do think the concept/idea of their relationship is really cool and I would’ve loved to see them interact more.

One of my fav gaming YouTubers recently started playing Curious Village after YEARSSSS of fans urging him to get into the series and yeah I kind of forgot how chill the story of that game is compared to everything that comes after. He said CV feels primarily like a puzzle game with a story just added in to tie it together which was kind of the original idea, but when I think back to Layton I’m like yeah, the games where each installment ends in major character death and everyone cries! But no they really do spend a long ass time chasing a runaway cat in the first game.

I’m hoping they’ll bring it back to the OG feel#which seems like what they’re going for!

#osc#object shows#tpot#twonut#tpot two#bfdi donut#Q-z art#couldn't find my old post of this my guess is cause i deleted it.#the distance of this drawing and what i draw now almost shows a huge shift in interest#and what kind of dynamics im inlove with now#this work still holds alot of value in my heart. because it reminds me of simpler times#admittedly i was alot happier than i am as of now#that damn pudding was my magnum opus#though im definitely the inventor and i feel no.1 fan of rootyshine (no competition ofc). it almost shows to any ogs who've followed my twt#- or tumblr. kinda got to see how much i grew as an artist. and how I'll continue to grow. even now im still learning#twonut was my start in loving rarepairs. and rootyshine is as if right now. my very favorite. my no.1 pick even#fun fact i used to switch around with hc two as tsmasc or tsfemme. really i was never consistent#theyre dynamic to me was something along the lines of. “god x some guy” kinda thing#it was funny. it was simple. and it was everything i could've ever needed at the time#quite alot. as seen in the pilot. she also seems like someone who can get very emotional in a sense. not in a way where she only cries#but generally shes very strong when it comes to expressing how she feels. and despite being someone who people rely on alot. aswell as#deeply look up to. shes flawed in how she carries herself#and that speaks to me alot. its what made me fall inlove with her character. even if it isnt something thats expressed in the pilot all much#as for shiny shes someone who almost parallels rooty in a way. shes also someone who holds herself to a high expectation.#almost to a point where she can feel diminished when she cant control how well she does. and can also be emotional with how she carries -#- herself. though she seems like someone who has a harder time really expressing it. shes has more restraint than rooty i feel#but that restraint comes with a consequence. she feels like someone. (even if the pilot showed she was just under pressure) -#that can have trouble when it comes to actually expressing certain emotions (maybe when it comes to apologizing or admitting her faults)#and with that. its one example of how they clash. and i could go on and on.#*first text i went one was about rooty. dunno what happened the part that specified it was abt might've gotten deleted. idk.

My designs aren't really specific breeds per se, but Holzmann is certainly inspired by Oriental Shorthairs. They just feel very him
#the kingmaker histories#klaus holzmann#margot engels#my art#primarily my designs aren't specific breeds because i find breed standards so limiting in terms of colors proportions and personalities#(though cat breed personalities are Very vague compared to dogs)#too many colors stuck within certain breeds. so many limitations in facial feature and body and coat type combinations#since cat breeds have only existed in the last ~200 years the number of breeds and their diversity is verrry limited#dog breeds are wayy more interesting and meaningful. the sheer quantity of them and their extensive diversity and variety of mixed breeds#means there's plenty of options. though i havent done my research about them (esp. with personalities)#so you won't see an anthro dog AU from me unfortunately...#tho absolutely my designs are Based on certain breeds. idk the breed standard so maybe he's off in some way but from an amateur perspective#telsie might as well be a purebred british shorthair (factoring out being an alien lol)#and colette was originally based on oriental longhairs but i normified her sooo hard in the head department IDEK what she's closest to now#that concludes the first part of my tag essay. second part:#(danny don't read any further! there's spoilers!)#MARGOT. i wanted to draw her but wasn't really sure how she'd look... so this is just a first pass (and of course catified)#(yes i sketched out her human face first to figure out how to catify it no you may not see it) (yet?)#i decided to hc for now that she did get herself fleshcrafted to look less like holzmann. that seems like a reasonable assumption#so yeah her og cat facial features fur texture etc. were a lot more similar to holzmann#as for her pattern: she's a black mackerel tabby sepia here#(rare phenotype but some australian mists are similar if you want an irl ref. they aren't mackerel tho)#i imagine originally she was a black mackerel tabby and white. and had blue eyes#(probably with more white on her than holzmann. it's quite unlikely for him to have blue eyes with such little white spotting on his face)#but yea this all may be subject to change if we get a canon hair/eye color for her#damn holzmann... why are you so ears!!! 😂#(he could be earsier. i showed restraint)

I keep thinking that this Gojo is just like Sukuna. I truly don't see much of a difference between them beyond the human/curse point of view
#If not Sukuna then some other more palatable special degree curses like the one he just killed that talked about the new humanity#It truly looks like that I don't know#Trying to be unbiased about the pretty concepts I take personally#and trying to ignore the silly fact that Sukuna's domain is literally called temple of evil or something (makes one want to ask#so many things like why the hell does he call it such? isn't evil good for you? Isn't a species kind of thing?#Why are you adhering to human notions and conceptualisations if you seem so beyond them and think nothing of them?)#Gojo is quite terrifying from a curse point of view. He is cruel and merciless. He can't be reasoned with and he is playful. He has his fun#His powers are not much different in structure from those of a curse and he said that the power capacity of a sorcerer comes from birth#So it's ontological. It's not just skill. It's an essential differentiation. Just like curses#It's just... I don't know. It's almost as if he were a curse himself. He talks about emotions being the source of curses?#Maybe that's the difference? Was Sukuna born that way too?#I don't know. I keep thinking that he is quite idk monstrous in a very Sukuna way. He isn't terrible like Sukuna is like with the kids#But he is human after all. He does adhere to human categories. Sukuna is something else#And yet Gojo uses the kids. He draws lines and he is caring and gentle and sweet in his way#but he very much uses the kids and is a bit flippant about it. And he is human#I don't know. It seems completely intentional this similarity between Gojo and the curses and Gojo and Sukuna in particular#Sukuna seems interested in Megumi while Gojo seems interested in Itadori and idk I just keep thinking#but I'm not even know about what or how#I find this man very hard to trust haha the parallels are intriguing#I think this piece of worldbuilding has potential as well as their characterisations#I hope the author will do something with all this#I talk too much#Jujutsu Kaisen#Gojo Satoru#Sukuna

I don’t want anything to do with it#and I think I realized that being a storyteller means having lessons to tell people or experiences to share#I don’t have either of those things. my life is uninteresting and I don’t learn from my mistakes. my mistakes themselves are boring#all my issues are boring and privileged. no one needs a story or lesson from me. what the fuck can I say that hasn’t been said#and even if I did have a story to tell I don’t want to? I don’t care to teach people or share my experience. that’s never been what art-#-was about for me. art is a selfish escape for me. nothing more. nothing artsy feely or intellectual. ‘why do you draw’ idk it’s fun#I remember old classes where people answered why theyre artists. everyone had interesting answers and here i was-#- I said because it’s fun. like a fucking childish moron. never should have pursued art as a job. you have to want to be an artist to make-#a living from it.
