50$ to print 10 of the same skin has always been so insane to me. you're telling me it's 50$ to print....only 10.....of a single skin....and that's normal. And not only is that normal, that's what's required for a skin shop. where ppl may not even sign up for 10 runs. and then you're left in the shitter with at minimum 1-4 skins nobody wanted (not to mention if some people decide not to pay afterward) that you have to just pray someone finds & buys on the auction house. And it's 50$. Uhuh. And then that's just the artist's issue and fault and we're gonna blame them instead of the fact that a 10 print run costs as much as groceries.

The reactions to Miquella as a character is honestly so telling about the broader souls gaming community. I mostly mean on Reddit because I am like 90% straight cis Reddit guys couldn’t analyze a evil character with any sort of benefit of the doubt. TLDR at the bottom because I’m a hoe who loved to ramble…

I’m not gonna pretend that I have a perfect grasp on Elden ring lore, so if anyone notices anything like crazy wrong with this feel free to let me know. But, from what I have seen on YouTube and Reddit people are desperate to make miquella out to be the most evil mf to ever exist in a video game. In all of the analysis I’ve seen of him as a character. People don’t seem to want to acknowledge that he’s probably mentally stunted from his curse. Like be so for real 10-year-olds are the most evil motherfuckers to ever exist, being stuck like that for hundreds of years, would drive anyone to a little bit of mass genocide. People also don’t want to see that he had majority positive intentions, and if you’re looking at it in a way that acknowledges that he’s probably despite his actual age only thinking with the mental capacity of a young child, the sort of black-and-white morality that he used in his campaign is completely fitting for a kid of that age. I think dudes on Reddit just are all not allowed within 60 feet of school so they’ve never interacted with children before, but I think if I asked my cousins that are that age they would solve a corrupt world they would say they would force everyone to be nice if given the opportunity.

Also, please take a second to consider the situation he was raised in before you make judgments on him just being a completely morally black character. Marika is absolutely insane from what we know of her, and wouldn’t you know it? So much of what Miquella does is similar to his mom. But he also leads with intentions to be better than her and a more positive force broadly. anyone who has played Elden Ring can and should tell you that the setting of the game is absolutely grim dark. Most of the characters you meet want you dead and if they don’t want you dead, they will probably end up dying by the end of the game. Even in the games happiest endings, the end is still bittersweet and nothing is really fixed. particularly because that’s just what the souls like genre goes for in it’s messaging.

I don’t want to make baseless accusations of homophobia to an entire group of people and a fandom that is admittedly accepting for websites that tend to be cesspits of homophobia and transphobia. But I feel like despite They being similar intentions and results Rahni does not get as harsh of a reaction as Miquella does. I firmly believe that this is because he is one of the few queer characters that we see in any soul games. It’s of course not great that the one aspect of queer representation is an incest pairing where one of them is getting molested. But I would still categorize him as a queer character. I think with a het pairing people would be more willing to make the relationship seem less predatory, but because it’s a queer relationship and Miquella is admittedly a bad character, people don’t look at their relationship with any sort of nuance. Radahn and Miquella are not the only examples of incest in Elden ring, and I think it’s also very common for stories based on pantheons to have incest. That sure is weird as hell, not a good thing, and it’s weird as fuck in my opinion. But it’s common in these stories. This could just be me being naïve, but I have never seen such a harsh reaction to a couple in media even when discussing other similarly, toxic and abusive pairings within media.

TLDR: Miquella is an evil but well written character and his actions make sense in the story. Fandom should not regard him as harshly as they do. Especially on sites like YouTube and Reddit, which are adorably dominated by straight cis men. I think part of the reason fandom reguards him so harshly in these communities is because he is a canon queer character. It’s also two in the morning right now when I’m writing this so this probably makes no sense and I’ll delete it tomorrow.

because I'm from the US and the toy is from overseas, it took about a month to get here if my memory is serving me correctly.

there are three appearance options on the site, a polar bear, a red panda, and the puppy in the picture here. as I can tell, there are no internal differences. the puppy's body is notably a little bit longer and is said to be heavier than the other two on the site.

the texture of the plush is fairly similar to a squishmallow (free 🇵🇸 btw), but due to the machinery inside it's EXTREMELY heavy. i have to use both hands to carry it around or move it. it's kind of an awkward shape to cuddle with in a nonsexual way, but it can be done.

the dots on the pink panel are the spots for the magnetic charger (make sure not to get that part too wet bc it will rust and not work. the "toy" part of it is much lower though, so no worries). it comes with a small remote I can't read bc it's in chinese but it's easy to figure out.

obviously there's the pause and power buttons, but the ring is where you get thrusting and vibration. top/bottom increase and decrease thrusting, and right/left control vibration. you cannot turn on vibration without turning on thrusting. no idea what the middle button is meant to do. my package included condoms you can use on it, but I prefer to just clean the toy after use.

Chapter One: The Dry Spell. 

“God, yes, Y/N!” Rei shouts from above you, his hips grinding against yours as he pistons in and out of you. 

The bedsprings to your bed creak in time with his movements which are relentless as he approaches his orgasm. “You feel so good!” he moans, eyes closed and a smile on his face. “Are you feelin’ it too?” 

You stare at him from underneath his body, barely making a peep. “Yeah,” you mumble. “I’m definitely feelin’ something.” Instead of looking at how much ecstasy your boyfriend is in above you from the completely dry and unsatisfying sex, you look off to the window where the warm summer night air blows in.

You found yourself working alongside him at your first agency (which you’re still at now) shortly after graduating UA when you were just eighteen. Word around the office was that he was crushing on you, but you never had a chance to investigate because he was transferred to a new agency that paid him a lot more four years later.

Time passed and at the age of twenty-six, you found yourself crossing his path again a year ago during a mission that involved a bank robbery and a villain with a gas quirk. You knew Rei the moment you saw him once you got a look at his hero’s fit and those coils of black hair that reached his shoulders. After an arrest and a job well done, Rei had asked you out for coffee and that was all she wrote. 

Now here you are, about to rip your hair out over a possible future of doomed sex and no orgasms. This is truly a tragic tale for you both. After a few more minutes of moping and regretting your life choices, you splash some cold water on your face from the sink and walk back into your bedroom to find Rei getting dressed. “What’s up?” you ask as he pulls on his briefs and then his jeans.

You feel a twinge of guilt in your gut. Here you are, neglecting him and acting distant, and he’s so concerned about spending more time with you because of your work. You feel like the worst girlfriend and person in the world.

You go to him, wrapping your arms around his neck. “It’s fine. The work of a pro is never done, ya know.” You peck him on the lips, nuzzling your nose with his. “Go, and be careful. I don’t need to see you on the news tomorrow all bruised up.” 

Rei scoffs, rolling his pine-tree green eyes at you. “Please. Like that’d be possible with my speed.” You stand back and watch him put his shirt and shoes on before he presses another kiss to your lips, holding onto your waist. “I love you,” he whispers against your lips. 

“I love you too,” you reply, which is definitely something you say to someone who loves you. At least that’s what you tell yourself. But even as the words leave your lips, you don’t feel like you truly mean them–yet another reason you’re a horrible girlfriend and person. You’re lying right through your teeth. 

Rei smiles adoringly at you before he leaves your bedroom and minutes later, exits your apartment. As soon as he’s gone and you hear his car pull out of your driveway, you sit down on the edge of your bed and run your hands over your face, trying to fight back the tears threatening to push through and make your night even worse. 

“Fuck, I thought he’d never leave.” 

A very familiar (and sexy, according to some people) voice coming from your window makes you jump right out of your skin and nearly use your quirk to fend off the “threat” you believe they are. However, when a familiar mess of unruly blonde locks and goggles peers around the corner to look into your bedroom, you sigh in relief and irritation. “Keigo!” you scold him as he sneaks through your bedroom window, decked out in his hero’s gear too. 

He gives you his signature dazzling, white-toothed grin as he climbs through your window that even the burn scare that stretched from his jawline down to his neck can distract you from. “What’s poppin’, b?” he asks, using that greeting only he and Dabi use to make you and Rumi cringe. 

“You can’t just sneak up on me like that or come to my bedroom window, especially when Rei is here,” you criticize. “How many times do I have to tell you this shit?” 

Keigo huffs, now standing in your bedroom in the late hours of the night, which is a normal occurrence for the pro hero no. 2 aka Hawks. He’s been crawling through your bedroom window for late-night adventures since middle school when it was just you and him. Rumi aka Mirko, the Rabbit Hero, came later while you attended UA.

Not much has changed since then, except now, instead of your childhood home, Keigo crawls through the window of the condo across the city that you share with Rumi. 

“Oh, relaaax, baby bird,” he chides you. “After the last time I showed up and got a flash of your man’s dick, I learned my lesson. Plus, you act like I’ve never seen you naked before.” He raises an eyebrow at you. “Remember that time in middle school I snuck into the girls’ locker room?” 

You laugh at the memory, remembering the big ass knot he walked around with for days after that you gave him. “Yeah, and I believe that’s when we first met. Shit, that was a long time ago. Weren’t we in fifth grade?” 

“Sixth,” he corrects you, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. “But we can reminisce more over our decades-long friendship over some wings, shots, and karaoke at Hoshi’s now that I’m off the clock.” 

You sigh, already exhausted from the idea of going out tonight. Especially with Keigo. The man is like a damn kid with candy once he’s got some alcohol in him. “As much as I’d love to hear your drunk ass attempt at singing,” you sarcastically say, “I’m not really in the mood for all that, Kei.” 

By the look Keigo gives you, with his head tilted to the side like a puppy, he can tell this has to do with Rei. He doesn’t even have to ask, which you also hate. The guy can read you like an open book, but you’d expect nothing less from someone you’ve been friends with for years now. 

Instead of saying anything, he just takes his wallet out of his back pocket and flashes it to you, an eyebrow raised: ‘I’m paying.’ You groan, not being able to turn down free wings, booze, and endless karaoke. “Alright, fine,” you sigh, defeated. “Get out so I can change and don’t wake Rumi.” 

Keigo flashes you a prideful grin at his success. “I never wake cottontail,” he scoffs before turning to the window and climbing back out, laughing into the night as he does. 

You sigh and walk to your bedroom closet, readying yourself for a night of total chaos.

This game is like a fucked up version of wobbledogs but I gotta say I like the "feed this creature shit and see what happens" gameplay. The "fuck around and find out" genre if you will.

for inspo tho (and an info dump),

i was considering several types of video game formats before trying this one. after tobaiblog (which is still on backburner i just gotta do some assets i just dont wanna do rn smh) i realised something like that is fun but can be overwhelming with how many options you had and a character who is unwilling to give any hints. i wanted something more simple and intuitive, and i think giving very limited ways to interact w the game provides a more authentic video game vibe while also being more intuitive.

initially i was messing w a labyrinth game concept and ill likely try it later down the line, w an rpg aspect to it and an end goal. but i felt that it was still complicated to interact with. i started thinking about other video game formats, like a visual novel, or pet care games. those things are simple in options for interaction, but i wanted some kind of horror undertone or element that would give more interest than just interact w the characters.

i decided on the idea of the pet care game but focused entirely on the feeding, it was simplified, there wasn't a lot of things to keep track of, and it allows users to be creative with the limitations given to them.

i was partly inspired by Can Your Pet (if u dont know anything abt it and like this blog, please try it, it's like a 10 or so min game iirc. dont look at spoilers if u want to play it cuz it has a twist at the end. idk if its still free but when it was popular it was hosted online for free on many game sites) and Happy Tree Friends to an extent, but also some analog horror content. subverting expectation of something cute into something weird or creepy as things progressed was primarily what i wanted to pull from these

the diary option was mulled over a lot as i wanted a way for users to interact directly w the characters made and i had a number of ideas for this at first. then i remembered in town of salem, you have a death note (haha) you can write in that will be shown if you die, and i was like oh an in game note system would be perfect to manipulate and also fit into the whole pet care sim vibe.

the death list was conceptualised as i needed a goal for players, and the cosmetic unlocks were also a fun reward. tho i think people at this point aren't going for looking for specific deaths but rather seeing how the character reacts to things (which is fair cuz i also figured half the appeal would be the character reaction to things, which is why i draw unique reactions to food 99% of the time~)

yes, and probably sam wilson/harry potter, honestly, I really still adore that one, it worked, I swearm, harry was older and fucked up with ptsd, and sam was awesome, as usual

honestly, i try not to do it anymore, cuz I don't like making it harder for readers in anyway to consume, so unless I can keep it short and clear enough that you can still gather what they are saying without knowing the language, then I leave it out. I will try hard to find other ways, and i'm not super into translations posted after the text, looks clunky, and not super into translations at the end, but yeah, to each their own

actually, y'know, idek when was the last time I talked about ygo abridged

like if I happen to be on tumblr when an ep comes out I'm like *O* and I'll post about it cause to me tumblr was always a "get your feelings out in the moment" site so in those moments I'm like aaaah new ep!

but never like talk talked about it, last time would be over 10 years ago defo

honestly? its special to me. Ive a great memory but I defo struggle with this not knowing the order, so it was either a) I decided to finally watch AN ANIME for the first time ever and put on inuyasha, THEN got curious about returning to yugioh and discovered season 0 and THEN watched the abridged or b) I randomly remembered I'd never seen the end of ygo and so looked up amvs of it on youtube thus discovering ygo season 0 came first and then found the abridged through that and THEN realised I wanted to welcome anime into my life and so I started Inuyasha and sooooo on down I went, the anime road from then on

so, ygo abridged is at the beginning of that journey

at that time in my life, I was heavily struggling with ocd. and I was ditching school a lot. if I wasn't hiding in the town library for 6 hours, I was at a friends who decided to ditch with me. I had my two reliables. and we always watched the abridged together. quoted it non-stop. eventually I was dating a lad for a month, and when we broke up (he had the same friends as me), HE started quoting the abridged with them as well cause they showed it to him. made me MAD! lmao

it was also something I watched every time we went on a ride to look at houses during the recession in 2009-2010. those long drives. abridged kept me and my brother sane lol

and then cut to being online with online friends, and tumblr, we all shared the abridged love with each other.

it was just unfortunate the episodes were rarer at that point but definitely... more frequent than they are now. they were coming out prob around 4.... times a year. maybe? whereas they used to be weekly. so that was a big change.

and now they're once a year. you're lucky if there's 2.

but here's the thing.

yeah its a parody. but idk... the fact that you can just pick up where you left off every time and not be a confused mess makes me happy. the fact that the characters are so distinctive and you never forget their personality traits is amazing to me.

I'm just proud of LK bc he could have dropped it a long time ago. I've seen youtube channels have their hype years and then fans disappear CONSTANTLY. video views going from 2.5 mill to maybe 30k. it happens.

but a good chunk of people who have been watching the abridged now for 15 years now or more still get excited when a new once a year ep drops. you just pick it up, have a giggle fest, wipe away a tear and then move on. never sitting there in anticipation for the next cause you know it'll be a while. just... happy to go on youtube and see one randomly there on a random day when you're not looking for it.

my ONLY con here is that, bruh, season 5 to me is the best ygo arc. I been wanting to see that shit abridged for soooooooooo fucking long. there's so many scenes that I wanna know what he does with. I want to see Bakura without Marik, cause LK's flaw with Bakura was that he knew how to write Marik on his own but not Bakura on his own. so I wanna see that more. I wanna see what he does with Set and Kisara, what direction he goes. I love Joey's ghost moments in the main show so I I'm hyped for that.

So I’m having another… let’s call it an internet crisis. A thing that typically happens when I have Big Problems I can’t do fuck all about which means now it’s time to get Really Upset about problems that are comparatively small but do affect my daily routine (sorry again for no cut, I still can’t remember how to do it on mobile and I fucking hate hate hate the desktop post editor as much as someone can hate a piece of code)

It’s… getting harder to use tumblr. This isn’t about the sidebar, I don’t actually hate the sidebar cause we used to have a sidebar on the other side and I’ve missed it every since it left, but it’s about other things. A lot of things, but I won’t get into them all right now. For me, the new post editor is just. Really fucking difficult to use. If you’re just doing an unformatted, unplanned ramble (like this) or a little shitpost, it’s fine, especially if you’re on mobile (somehow the shitty mobile editor is now less shitty than the desktop editor, how tf did that happen), but if you’ve got multiple paragraphs and literally any formatting is needed? Well, you’re fucked, quite frankly, it is the most dense and convoluted post editor I’ve seen in like roughly 2 decades spent online. I’ve never seen anything more counterintuitive and difficult to use

And I’m sitting here with all these twitter posts I want to move. Some are little and would be easy. Others are a lot longer and more complicated and would shove me into that formatting hell I despise so much (and given how much feedback and unanswered asks to wip I’ve sent with no improvements, I’ve given up hope of it ever being made better). Like god I really, really want to save those posts but is it even worth it to do it here? But where else would I do it?

And the secondary layer too is… there’s no fucking posts here. No engagement on posts either most of the time. 90% of my posts come from my archive cause the kylux and Kylo (plus a few others I check less regularly) tags have very few daily posts and there’s hardly anything on my dash anymore. My original posts maybe get 10 notes on average, and these posts are ones that sometimes got near triple digit rts alone on twitter. Just seems there’s exceptionally few people here to enjoy them

And I’m still on twitter. It’s slowly dwindling but it’s still slightly more active than here. I’m on pillowfort and bsky too and they are truly dead (unless you’re a furry, good on the furries for populating every site in existence). There’s just. Nothing anymore. Maybe my fandoms are just dead but it feels like the meme about passing around the same $20 among friends cause capitalism is destroying us except with posts and likes

Idk. I feel like I don’t have an online home anymore. 90% of my socializing is online and 100% of my creativity is expressed through fandom and. I don’t know where to do that anymore. I have friends I chat with on discord and I love them but it’s… it’s not the same as a whole community, you know? And now that our homes are falling apart with every sign pointing towards imminent foreclosure like. What do I do. I know I’ve been through site losses before but. It feels different. Something new and shiny always came along before the end. I fear that’s not coming and we’ll all just be lost

Idk. I don’t have a conclusion. Twitter is doomed. I hate how the new owners are running on tumblr and I’m still posting here more out of a desperate desire to remember what community felt like than any real actual want to do so. The new sites have nothing going on. Idk. I feel lost. And maybe it’s the 15 other problems I have going on right now and hormones and shit but. For another, I know a lot of people won't comment at all if they see that the comments don't get replies. Alas, I am human and often forget. Recently I've replied to some comments years after they were left. I should do another replies sprint soon...

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably this one: Trust (Free Guy (2021)) (7,755 words) It's a non-con/abusive relationship fic and the end has Keys sort of realizing just how fucked up everything is and realizing he can't even really remember his old friends' faces and yeah. Angsty!

Hmm, I've got quite a few happy endings under my belt despite how difficult they are... Wow this was so hard I had to consult a friend. I have fewer happy endings than originally thought. Going with this one, though! a place where I feel at home (Stranger Things) (34,455 words)

Not on them, no, which sort of surprises me considering what I've posted the last year or more. But also I'm blocked by like half of the fandom so I imagine I wouldn't see much of it myself anyway

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do! One of my goals a few years ago was to get more comfortable writing it and I like to think I've managed that. I've even joined the smut4smut exchange multiple times now! As for what kind, um... Non-con is where I'm most comfortable, so quite a bit of that. But also surprisingly some totally consensual stuff, too. A lot more m/f these days, which is NOT easy when you are squicked by basically all the words for lady parts but I do my best to work around it. There's a sprinkling of m/m in there as well, though less so recently!

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I do! Not often, although I think of them a lot. It's not really "crazy", but I think it's a little more out there than my other posted one. can hardly feel the cold with you (1,808 words) It's a Stranger Things/Until Dawn crossover featuring Steve/Mike/Jessica because I hardcore ship Steve/Jessica and Jessica and Mike are soulmates so I couldn't leave him out.

I'm pretty sure my fics ended up on that one... Idk was it a Russian site? Some site was stealing a bunch of fics and I think I found some of mine there

I started on one with @urisarang but never quite got past the first part. I'd still like to continue that fic someday but it's hard?? And I like to think our Free Guy series of fics set in the same universe should count!

It's really hard to say. All time? I don't think I have one. Maybe a Harry Potter ship or two since that's the only fandom I go back to on a regular basis for reading. To write? I guess it's Stoncy. Feels hard to say for sure because I'm really bummed out about the fandom and season 4 and it's made it harder for me to enjoy writing them. But I still love them.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

More than I could list here. I have so many, I even found one I forgot existed at all the other day. But for this one, I'll say probably the WIP set after Steve and Nancy were stuck in the Entity's Realm (where they are in Dead by Daylight the game). They're home and safe but Steve is isolating himself because he and Nancy were sleeping together while trapped and he "knows" it never meant anything except finding comfort in the familiar so he needs to stay away so Nancy can be with Jonathan and her family. It also features them both having trouble remembering to eat bc eating wasn't necessary while they were trapped in the other universe. I just reread what I've got last night and love it. But I don't think I'll ever figure out how to continue or finish it :(

Introspection. I am most comfortable writing what's going on in someone's head and like to think I'm good at it.

It's a very self-indulgent stoncy fic where Steve is desperate enough to stay with Nancy that when he proposes that she date them both and she thinks he wants to also date Jonathan, he doesn't correct her. I know I wrote it but man, I love the angst of Steve forcing himself into situations he is super uncomfortable with. Dub-conning himself in a way both Nancy and Jonathan would be very upset about if they knew but for totally different reasons than Steve's convinced himself over.

the devil on my shoulder (The Babysitter (Movies - McG)) (2,740 words)

Years ago, I was determined to write as many words as possible for NaNo. I asked ppl on tumblr to send me prompts to write for them so I would have ideas to work from. This fic came from me taking the chance at tagging my plea with The Babysitter and I'm so glad they sent me the prompt because this might be the fic of mine that I have reread the most maybe aside from the one mentioned above. It started out as a fic where Bee encourages Cole to break the rules to manipulate him into being on her side, but it turned into something a little different than that. I don't know how to put it into words but I just really love it. (Too bad there is not much of a fandom out there for those movies haha)

"incorrect [fandom] quotes" - good. The Right Way. This is the tag you bring home to your mother

"[Fandom] incorrect quotes" - you are letting their tits hang out, bro. Clunky. Weird. But also one of the most popular variations

"incorrect [fandom]" - this is only good for searching, not for posting. Incomplete

"incorrect quotes [fandom]" - what the actual fuck

Capital letters in tags - only for DIRE situations or yelling/emphasis

"fanart" - a classic. Fantastic. The only problem is when you wanna reblog official art but don't have an art tag. Tumblr should catch it under "art" as well tho, so you could have an "official art" and "fanart" tag but idk

Capitalizing the first letter of a tag - it can be an honest mistake

"queue" - kinda useless tbh. It's a nice tidbit, but no one searches up queued posts specifically. Plus, it doesn't really fit anywhere except as the last tag, which a lot of ppl don't read

"reblog" - also a bit useless but less so than "queue." Can be good if you wanna find more blogs

"Source: [XYZ]" - HAS to go 1st to look right, and so ppl will read it, which is annoying bc it takes up one of the 1st five tags that are actually picked up by Tumblr dashboard searches

Content/Trigger Warnings - important but confusing (for me specifically), especially with less common triggers. Is it "death," "death mention," "death tw," "death cw," "death ment," or "death ment tw?" (In art/images) is that blood or just a visual choice? Does "animal mention" accurately prevent ppl triggered or bothered by snakes, bugs, or other specific animals? If the word is in the post itself, will most people have it blocked in their settings?

"long post" - is this actually a long post that can be difficult to scroll by, or was there just a lot of words? Do both count?

"[fandom]" / "[shipname]" - sexy. Great for when the brainrot kicks in (and for finding posts via dashboard)

"not [blog's theme] - really funny but rare; I wish I saw it more

"my posts" - good to find original posts, but I don’t use it correctly. It feels wrong to use for "incorrect quotes" even though it makes sense

"incorrect quotes" - one of my fav tags bc I can just. Find incorrect quotes I want to use. Is it ethical? Idk, but thank you for your service (I do usually link back tho)

Tags where someone was just referencing smth that got caught by the Tumblr search - this is agony. This happened to me once with Liu Qingge when I wrote smth thinking about his character but not actually about him (and mentioned him in the tags), and that's the reason I use 10 billion slashes Just in Case. It's also kinda annoying when you're searching for smth and get random shit; I understand the OP's pain. We're all unwilling victims to this site sometimes

The Godfather (‘review’/notes)

"Family Values"

Screenplay: FFC, Mario Puzo

Based on a book of the same name (also written by Puzo), apparently, The Godfather's legacy is practically undying. While watching, I kept in mind the quote, "It insists upon itself" a la, Peter Griffin, but the only insisting I found was that of other people upon it, rather than The Godfather upon itself. In sane person speech, I mean that the culture surrounding The Godfather is much more masturbatory than the actual contents of the movie.

I find this to be the case with many iconic 'films for the ages'. For example, The 400 Blows. I think it's generally considered one of the greatest (or I suppose at least most influential) films of all time, but personally, I wasn't so moved by it, even though I consider it to be great. Of course it was the 60s and yada yada it'll feel unoriginal because I've already seen everything derived from it, Citizen Kane style idk, but anyways, my diagnosis is that The Godfather is quite good.

I put off watching it for a while actually. Because it's three hours long, and I rarely have the attention span for movies that long lol. But in all seriousness, in one of my first attempts to watch it, I ended up falling asleep, so I only got tiny little vignettes, and I had no clue what was happening. In all of my attempts following that (up until now), I tried to watch it on the same pirate streaming sites, and I just couldn't get into it because of the unfavorable quality. But this time! I torrented it. Because it's on paramount plus and it's one of the only streaming services we don't have, and I'm not going to bother getting a free trial because fuck that, anyways. This time I was watching a version that didn't sound like it was recorded on a toaster, and I was fully ready to stay invested for the full three hours. And I did! It was very compelling to say the least. Very suspenseful, and after an hour and a half I started sweating whenever someone got into a car.

I do have to say though, that it's not my kind of movie. As in I watch it and I don't feel the desire to imitate its artistry, only its prestige. As in I want to make someone people like as much as The Godfather because other people like it a lot, not because I like it lot. Anyways, I digress, plus I doubt you get what I'm talking about. X_X.

Anyways, it kind of made me feel like I want to have a big loving family of my own, but without the mafia parts of course. Spoilers for a movie that came out 50 years ago; I thought it was stupid how Michael married that one Sicilian girl, and then just went right back to Kay after she died. This seems like a weird thing to focus on, I know, but it kind of ruined their relationship for me. Why did he go back to Kay when he had no intention of ever seeing her again until Wife-1 died? It didn't seem like he actually wanted Kay, but like he was just like "fuck it, whatever", which isn't fair to Kay, you know?

Well, those are my thoughts on The Godfather. 9/10

Also I feel like if you put Sylvester Salone, Al Pacino, and Robert Deniro in a line up, I wouldn’t be able to guess who was who x_x

It's really scary and sad how some people just completely disregard the safety rule when it comes to their ship. Newflash: they have been in a band for over 10 years now, of course they hang out together. Them enjoying each others company and going on dates (=as in: 2 people only but not romantically but idk how you call that in english other than a date) does not prove that said members actually hate the others. That's so fucking stupid but we are still here every single fucking day, fighting people on the internet who literally zero on in one thing and never let that go. And even if someone goes on a date-date (like a romantical one)? That's also none of our fucking business. How about we start treating the boys as actual human beings and not like items. We do not have ANY right to interfere in their personal lives. We do not have the right to see into it unless they actually want to share something. And we certainly do not have the right to leak pictures of them and spread them around like they are mere zoo animals. It infuriates me.

And you know what's the other fucked up thing? Someone I follow quoted a tweet for report and it was literally an account made for posting what Seokjin eats in the military daily. WHY and WHO THE FUCK needs that kind of information. NOBODY. Nobody should have access to that. His training location is not public. We should NOT have ANY information on how he is doing unless HE HIMSELF or one of the other MEMBERS share something with us. And it's really fucked up how some people try to gaslight others and claim it's okay because it's a public site and the military shares it. Who the fuck cares. Seokjin did not consent to this. He is basically owned by the military right now (not literally but i hope you know what i mean). And he's the most well-known person who has ever served in that country, the military >WILL< exploit him and he can't do anything in order to stop that. And people who just disregard these things and claim it's okay to know these things because the military made it public are the fucking problem. And they are the reason the rest of the boys will be exploited too. Military service is already a fucking stressful thing to do. Seokjin doesn't need another reason to be stalked and talked about and be stressed. And neither do the other boys. Their military outpost/training centre is literally contributing to this stalking... It's fucking disgusting.

The saddest thing is that this is all about them, about feeling that they "won", about feeling that they were right. People who do that only care about feeling that they know everything but they don't care about the members. They are just the protagonists of their fantasies. That's why a lot in the subgroup for example, they get upset when Tae but especially Jungkook, don't behave the way they want to.

I miss Secret Horses

I started this project in a mood of hostility towards ai art, but I really liked the Secret Horses phase of machine learning images about, like what, three, four years ago? The delicious soft, dreamlike slurry of form and colour, it was beautiful.

I gather they were produced by slow models only capable of small, low-res images and that was one of the reasons that style died out, faster, higher resolution models outcompeted them--plus a lot of very boring people just prefer photoreal hypertiddies over Secret Horses. Couldn't be me. She's too gorgeous.

Anyway that's what this Fishbone is about. It's not a Creature, it's just a eulogy to a more interesting time in ai art, as I'm sure this entire project will become in time as the models get better and fuck up less. It's also kind of a eulogy to blockmounted airbrush posters of the 1980s and 90s. 10 layers, 5 source images.

I did notice that machine learning has a problem with horse muzzles. It frequently gets them so wrong that it's actually kind of charming (to me at least). I now have a folder full of nothing but fucked up horse noses and no idea what I'm going to do with them yet but watch out for that.

I've been musing on how the conversation here seems very focused on the alleged Midjourney deal to the exclusion of the alleged OpenAI deal. Text-based LLMs need continuous training in a way that image models don't, because they need up-to-date information about idk news and science and whatever so they're not stuck in 2022 forever. Realistically we were probably already mass-indexed years ago but relatively clean sources of new real-language text are swiftly becoming scarce as LLM output floods the web, and both structurally and culturally tumblr is inhospitable to the kinds of marketing and engagement bots taking over other sites (we have other more different horrible problems). So a deal with OpenAI actually going through is marginally more plausible (in my opinion) than one with Midjourney--and also much funnier.

Like, full respect to everyone who started posting nonsense and gibberish when the 404 piece dropped, but we've been posting nonsense and gibberish on this site for 17 years, it is the song of our people. The tumblr accent is real and ChatGPT developing it would be the funniest thing ever. Like, tell me this would not be objectively hilarious;

But to be serious for a moment, the various flavours of fascists are probably a bigger hazard to any potential value of this site's text data. I would suggest Matt "please notice me Elon" Photo fix moderation and kick out the trash if he actually wants a real deal to happen but it'll be funnier to watch him get led down the garden path.

Fanfic Writers Deserve Better…

Hey guys so lately things in Fandom Communities specifically, F.F. Communities, have been going on and I don’t want to get into it because I’ll end up ranting but it’s something that needs to be said. Idk how or why, but recently when doing my personal narrative for English I realized that plot structure is basically insignificant. This may vary for some of you based upon how you write, but for me it’s completely complicated and it just messes with my flow. It always annoys me when I read and even more so when I write, which caused me to develop a hatred for it. I lied just now about reading… books that is. As I said, I don’t read books and me being here giving you full access to my posts, likes and dislikes, even to those who I follow proves that I don’t read books. You may have access to my likes and the people who I follow but I can’t tell you how much it pisses me off when someone cannot tell the difference between an book and a work, just like an author and a writer. Sure they may seem like same thing, but there’s a difference, and I mean a BIG difference when comparing the two. To make things clear, I’m comparing real world writing to F.F. Writing!

Authors get their support and product and sometimes funding through their readers. Readers buy, keyword here is buy, the author’s book. You see they make money off of their writings; we don’t and when we do it’s more difficult since the amount of money we get is very little. F.F. Writers you may or may not what I’m talking about and that’s ok. I’m mostly a reader, I haven’t written anything for fun in over 3 years; and if I had written anything, it was an apology for not writing other than that everything I’ve written was for school. (most likely 95% was made up if was personal narrative.🤣)

If anything I rewrote this post about 10 times just trying to remember grammar structures, spelling, and etc but I just remembered while writing this F.F. Writers don’t give a rats fuck about dialogue, grammatical, plot, and you name it structure

We write because we want to write and provide our readers an ending or a source of entertainment that we know that we’re not going to get from the original creators themselves

Sadly not everyone sees it our way a few months back Ao3 was victim of a DDoS terror attack by Anonymous Sudan and they’re reasoning really pissed me off I’m not apart of LGBTQ+ as well as NSFW community But shutting down a site because it apparently filled with FF that go “against all forms of degeneracy” and “disgusting smuts” well then…
