Besides feeling afraid it could genuinely really fuck with my own perception bc like "if this guy who I trust says he's not a bad person maybe I'm just overreacting?" is. Again unfortunately understandable.

And again I'll say that Anya fully breaks down when the news breaks that pony express is fucked and like. 1. I think that's related to her own finances (and also. Literally just realized the way an abortion could interact badly with "no savings" like I Just Processed that fact. Like I knew "oh if she couldn't abort having to support a child wouldn't just be traumatic but also fucking nightmarish finance wise" but even having an abortion could make things so much harder.) 2. Jimmy LASHES OUT at Curly OPENLY. again based on my interpretation of Mildly In Denial To Cope this would. Like. Really fuck with that because it goes from "I trust the captain and I don't want to be afraid of my crewmate for a year" to "oh he is willing to verbally abuse the captain, who is his friend" and realizing I wasn't overreacting.

I also wanna point to the dead pixel conversation and obv it's symbolic but idk if it's meant as "there's a dead pixel that Anya noticed and she's using the topic to like test the waters" or if it's "anya is literally just trying to figure out Curly's thought process" which isn't like super important but like. Focusing on the way she starts the conversation by saying that she "Likes the illusion the screen has". (I don't remember the exact words sorry) But that's really interesting to me bc obviously you can read into Curly not seeing the dead pixel and instead focusing on the bigger picture (and how the dead pixel "doesn't ruin the illusion") but I think it's really interesting that Anya starts by talking Positively about the screen even though the dead pixel is there (and she can't stop thinking about it)

Like thinking through implications option 1: she's talking about the screen and uses the dead pixel to get a feel for how Curly responds to her bringing up issues

2: she's being entirely metaphorical and still trying to sort of self soothe- seeking external validation that the dead pixel Isn't Actually That Big A Deal (and therefore she's just overthinking)

3: idk how to phrase this exactly but ppl have talked Abt the way she talks to Jimmy, how it indicates a sort of "Fawn" response where she tries to keep him calm with compliments and stuff, and her talking about "enjoying the illusion" is her trying to do something similar with Curly- essentially starting the metaphor by downplaying the issue

Anyway. I don't know if I have a full conclusion but another thing is I think ppl need to acknowledge that while Curly fucked up and harmed Anya (mainly thru inaction). He's not uniquely shitty. Most people will be in a situation where they act similarly, and that DOES NOT JUSTIFY HIS ACTIONS. I AM NOT SAYING CURLY IS ANY BETTER. I am saying that you need to be able to recognize your capacity for harm thru inaction and understand that like. He's not uniquely terrible he's just Normal Levels Of Unhelpful, which in a situation like Anya's is Dangerous

It wasn't immediate and must have built over time but I believe there was some ambiguity between them at some point. If it was Rui maybe he didn't even realised how he felt back then. If it was Mizuki she must have panicked so bad. If both then... The comedic potential of that situation is endless.

Also they lost likely kiss once on that rooftop and never broight it back again. Until today they never discussed it they both have a silent agreement to bury that memory in the depths of their mind and treat it like confidential information that can be leaked or it'll cause the end of the world.

My perception of them aside I just love how. How they exist in canon they drive me insane since I know they know eachother. Yeah because I didn't knew at first and the first time I saw them interact was an area conversation so I stayed confused for a good minute before I understood and then it was over.

I love how they don't really talk often anymore but you can feel in every of their conversation or mention of eachother how strong their relationship still is. Idk, they just give me that sense of comfort. They care for eachother and they'll support the other the best they can (I'm thinking of Rui during picnic event or in his side sorry, or Mizuki during sports festival, or Mizuki Hermit side story, or-) and it's so wholesome I gonna explode. To answer your question about what I feel when I'm attracted to a woman. Well, it usually starts out with me thinking she's pretty or cute. I usually feel a desire to talk to her but can't always find out what to say because I don't want to embarrass myself. I can tell a crush is forming when I overthink everything I want to potentially say. When I was in high school, I actually used to look up conversation starters because I was so terrified of winging the convo. I'd memorize a few of them so I didn't have to worry about our conversation dying. Also, being very aware of how I look is a sign that I'm into a woman. ... they r supposed to be identical twins except I cannot draw the same person twice for the LIFE of me so just imagine ok hehe Red (right, he/him) is technically the courier, BUT he was disabled in the Divide, so now Beck (left, also he/him) usually carries out his deliveries for him. most people wouldn't be able to really tell them apart, so it's not a problem—until Benny shoots Beck in the head. now, Red is usually very friendly and outgoing, but when the "death" of his brother reaches him, he changes. the need for revenge consumes him. Beck, on the other hand, wakes up with NO memory of his past. in fact, due to the delivery note on him, he thinks *he's* Red. unfortunately, everyone else also thinks they're the same person and it gets really confusing and really silly. and also really sad.

I have no idea why it took me so long to answer this ask because kajfndkj this is the easiest one I got asked for this game. I love both these ships so much!! but kasjbdfkj better late than never!!

What made you ship it? Honestly, I can't entirely remember? I never was much into rare pairs before the ml fandom but this one just seemed fun--it's the first one I think I read in the fandom. I love the vibes. I think I probably just saw people talking about it so I clicked a few fics and quickly went 👀👀👀. But writing I Don't Believe In Umbrellas is what made me head over heels, kicking and screaming and giggling obsessed with them.

What are your favorite things about the ship? I think the way they balance each other out. Marinette is chaotic and warm and brings Kagami out of her shell. Kagami isn't afraid to tell her when she's being ridiculous but she also goes along with her shenanigans because Marinette makes her soft and kajefbkdjf. It's just such a fun dynamic.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? Idk if this counts as an unpopular opinion but I'm really picky about the Marigami I'll read--and I don't consider myself a picky reader normally. A lot of people just miss the mark for me on characterizing Kagami and I have high expectations 😂

What are your favorite things about the ship? Hands down the way they are both each other's heroes. Like, Marinette couldn't be Ladybug if Alya hadn't inspired her. But Alya looks up to Ladybug so much. (And I like to think in some ways even more once she realizes it's Marinette.)

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? Again, not so much an unpopular opinion maybe, but kajfdkjsb I struggle writing them romantically. It's the one ship I love love love reading content for but when I sit down to write it I always overthink. It's the opposite for me as Marigami, tbh. I think other people write Alyanette better than me.

HMMM OKAY WHERE TO START

so, on a most basic level K is a defective and rebel who really REALLY hates Red and Purple, and really likes Zim, she's clever and that trait is usually clear to others, but she's also pretty goofy and extremely unpredictable, I made her so that she could be flexible and be thrown into a whole bunch of situations easily and have her backstory be easily changeable without changing her overall character, THAT BEING SAID I have a favourite version of her past... which actually happens to be the only version that is fleshed out and that is this:

as a young smeet K was like, insanely tall, so much that I guess she was like... bumped up in her age group that she ended up being around Zim nd Red and Purple and everyone, and for a long time she either exceeded or matched Red and Purple in height... and then one day she just stopped growing, which already made her resent R&P for passing her in height, which was made worse by them making fun of her, I don't really have any details for her early life past that, but when Red and Purple became the Tallest she just kinda snapped and decided that she would refuse to follow them and rebel, so that's what she did, she ended up on a planet as a regular soldier and kinda, blew everyone up I guess, she sabotaged that battle (and her having that thought is probably when she self appointed herself the title Sabotager-K) and talked to whoever the Empire was fighting to like, tell them her whole deal I guess, her rebellion is at first just a result of her grudge against Red and Purple but the more she travels the more she like, enjoys seeing other species and what they create and starts to gain more compassion, even if she looks down on most individuals and considers herself superior, though that starts to fade into less of a trait she has regarding her being Irken and moreso regarding her being herself as she starts to also look down on her own species

so she eventually ends up on earth somehow, I usually think of it as an accident, like she got list or her ships coordinates got messed up and she ended up near this planet that she detected Irken technology on, so she goes to investigate. I feel like she finds Tak's ship first since like it's been stated that its more powerful and detectable than Zim's base haha, she probably suspects Dib is an Invader maybe, but probably only gathers the information that he goes to Skool and then just decides she'll infiltrate that place nd confront him somehow? idk but she comes up with her lil cat hologram disguise, mostly cause she thinks humans are ugly, and a backstory that she was made in this lab or something and successfully joins Dib and Zim's class posing as a weirdly tall cat child, ofc when shes there she's like 'oh, I was wrong about Dib but WOAH Zim's here' but she's like, not really sure what to do, she's successfully fooled everyone with her disguise tho, like her being a cat person is SO distracting that not even Dib suspects her to be an alien, Dib does talk to her abt Zim tho and she says she believes him, and that she thinks she might be able to help expose or defeat him or something, and so later her and Dib and Zim face off in like the woods or smth where K does make a dramatic and theatrical reveal that HA SHE IS AN IRKEN but she still hates the Empire and while she won't help Dib hurt Zim or expose him she'll generally help if it looks like the earth IS in trouble and she wants to take down the Empire, hijinks ensue

K and Zim really start out as enemies I guess, nd K at first really doesn't think much of him, but I guess as her loneliness and feelings of isolation hit her the more she realizes that they have similarities and also, man if anything Zim did was purposeful he'd be a way better rebel than she is, and she just starts enjoying his company and develops feelings for him, which she really doesn't understand or have many words for, but yea, she likes GIR a lot and has a guardian type affection towards him, which she is not hesitant to show, as far as Dib goes she cares about him and is a friend, she thinks he's smart for a child, and since they're on what she perceives as the same 'side' she'll look for confirmation that her actions are 'good' from him, she respects but is a little scared of Gaz and doesn't talk to her much, and she just, doesn't trust Professor Membrane, she can't pinpoint why tho

I've not come up with a whole bunch beyond that, she's incredibly stubborn and won't let go of ANYTHING unless she loses interest in it, she's chaotic and while she's empathetic for an Irken because of her defective nature, she really doesn't have a moral compass and tends to mostly care about herself and the people or things she's come to like, her behaviour and movements are theatrical, or intended to be usually, she's kinda clumsy, she overthinks things A LOT, and she wants those she likes or admires to respect her, and those she doesn't like to fear her

Matssun looks intimidating but he’s really just an idiot + funny person!! He would be a big tease, will initiate PDA but will get really bashful when you try to do it. Matssun is funny and will always pull pranks on you with Makki, and you could turn into a prankster yourself (heh) Although Matssun isn’t big fan of reading or classical music and it shows, maybe it’s good to date your polar opposite (he’d be a Gryffindor) he’s not loud but he can be if he wants. Occasionally you may find him being loud around you (he likes attention from his S/O) but you will grow to love that side of him! Matssun usually shows that he cares by joking around (he just wants you to smile) but he’s quite the observant one so he wouldn’t go too far with his jokes. He’s very clear about boundaries. Matssun is generally a very good natured and fun person to be around, he’s great at supporting people, he knows how to pull your confidence levels up, and will give amazing advice. He’s also amazing at encouragement (although he shows it in his own unique way).
