what pisses me off most seeing the new bill in NZ parliament designed to destabilise its treaty with the Maori people is that no government in the history of Australia has even attempted to offer or put into place the same legal respect or cooperation to its Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island constituents. like knowing that even after all that progress, those in power will still rally to continue the genocide of a colonised people as a means to retain and consolidate that power. and it will ultimately achieve nothing that will improve the lives of its countrymen. its a meaningless power play that seeks to restore the self-obsessed "sovereignty" of the white man, of the pakeha, of the European or the Aryan or the Anglo-Saxon. pathetic

renly and loras are both tall imo but while loras stands at like 6'0-6'1, renly has that Baratheon Height thing going, like he's almost as tall as robert. while we're talking about baratheon height i absolutely like to think this includes stannis; he stands tall and spindly like jack skellington (but less exaggerated proportions ofc). shireen's also quite tall for her age

meanwhile i think mace and alerie are like. short stocky man + tall elegant woman tm. most of the tyrell kids are closer to mace in height but even marg is taller than him. loras is the only one who inherited alerie's height, though garlan isn't far behind him. willas imo is a short king and i love him for it

Man, I’m starting to really wonder where the “guys are less drama” thing came from, because it is so far from true.

Of my two friend groups, one is mostly boys and the other is made up of girls+enbys. And there’s hardly any drama in the second one? I can’t think of a time we’ve ever really fought with each other. The mostly boy group does, though. It’s honestly much more emotionally draining, because they do playful fights with each other a lot, which, I sometimes do with my girls+enbys friends, but it doesn’t feel the same??

I think it might be because in the girl+enby friend group, most of the time is spent hyping each other up, so when we have banter/play fighting, we know we still love each other? And that’s just something I don’t really get with the guy friends I have. It’s mostly (jokingly?) beating each other down, and there very little being genuinely nice.

I think its a combination of fandom only caring about guys (so when it comes time to pass out trans hcs, its all characters who are guys in canon) and of this strange habit of fandom seeing trans women as only existing theoretically? Like its always "estrogen could have saved her", always past and never in the present tense. It's like people see transfems as all pre-E, pre-op, never socially transitioning. As if hrt and such isn't life saving care for most trans people (not for everyone and not required, but I feel like it should be pointed out more)

It's something that's not like strictly a bad thing and I don't think people are bad for doing this or anything but I guess I just have a pet peeve on how often I see characters that are canonically men get headcanon'd as transfem instead of any female characters..?

Like I can think of like. One time off the top of my head I can think of someone HC'ing a female character as transfem, shout-out to transfem Hamuko, but i constantly see male characters get HC'd as such like all the time even in stuff I'm not even active in. I dunno, like I said it's not necessarily a bad thing but it bugs me for some reason.
