s2e5 made me love Armand so much more! his feelings and the way he deals with them were put on full display and it was very raw. he was and is so sure that what he did was right, it’s amazing. and the fact that he erased this whole episode of him being the most real from Louis’s memory?? remarkable show of his character.

the things that Lestat did were at around the same level of fucked up, but Lestat didn’t fuck with Louis’s memory and owned them. and Louis hates him because of that. but also because of that Louis knows who Lestat is and when he loves him he loves him fully.

Armand can’t bear Louis hating him like he hates Lestat. he can’t bear being alone again. and since the real him is just as fucked up, then the only thing he has over Lestat is playing the role of the characterless boring wife that is healthier and more caring to Louis, even though he has centuries of trauma that warp his perception of what’s healthy.

in San Francisco Armand let himself go and express all his resentment, jealousy, insecurity, and cruelty, regardless of Louis’s pleas. only up until the moment that Louis gave him an ultimatum — our relationship lives only if the boy lives.

Armand removed the memory of this whole thing because if it stayed, it would rid him of the only trump card he had over Lestat. he chooses not being alone over being seen because being honestly seen and then not being chosen by Louis’s heart would be unbearable. and he’s so real for that 😔

(and i mean. Louis is also not in the right if he’s actually conscious of the fact that he’s bored and doesn’t want to be with him but still stays and just blames Armand for being boring instead of taking responsibility for his life and leaving. unless Armand has been wiping his memory every time he tries to break up, which is possible i guess)

i love all these eternal trainwreck vampires…. there’s so much love and pain in each of them……… they are lost and afraid and grasping at anything they can reach. and there’s no one in the world who can understand them better than each other precisely because they lived for so long and they’re so intertwined with the horrible things that they lived through and did to each other. and neither understanding nor love can prevent the suffering ❤️

genuine question bc I haven’t read the books since. Idk a long time, why do ppl hate nightcloud so much?? I have literally only ever heard of her as an afterthought. Like she’s the third choice for crow feather bc he needed to take a mate to not be seen suspicious and just picked her, there’s no love between them, and afaik he basically forced her to raise her son by herself, not counting the moments of attention he DID give which seemed to be overwhelmingly negative and even abusive. Isn’t she allowed to be bitter and that when he’s very clear abt his apathy and even resentment toward her and her son?? Or am I missing some context

People took Crowfeather passing the blame onto Nightcloud for Breezepelt's behavior at face value, despite two arcs worth of books proving that wasn't true at all. I'd argue the writing team ALSO believed this, as with how they characterized her in the subsequent Field Guides. Immediately, Nightcloud's past actions were re-contextualized to be negative, to further push this idea that she was this old coddling bitch mom who didn't let poor Crowfeather be involved with his son (look at the language of the field guides, they genuinely wrote "she should be glad to be alive").

Crowfeather was (and in some circles still is) a pretty popular character, and a lot of people were quick to latch onto the idea that he was blameless. I can't remember if CrowPool was or wasn't a popular ship, I lean towards yes, so take this line with the knowledge my memory is fuzzy, but I'd also argue that Nightcloud being the "replacement" mate was what made people even more hostile to her.

So, what is Nightcloud actually like? I'm only going to cover scenes where Nightcloud is either mentioned or actually appears, so no Outcast, click the first link for a better look at that. I'll only cover Po3 and OoTS for now.

Nightcloud's Appearances in the Power of Three

Our first meeting with her is in The Sight, where ThunderClan intervenes when they're being chased around by a dog. Her first piece of actual dialogue is her defending Breezepaw from Crowfeather, which is not coddling, especially when given the added context in Outcast that Crowfeather is verbally abusive towards his son. She also proceeds to lecture him about his manners towards a ThunderClan cat, so, she's not the one encouraging his rude streak.

She is then absent for most of the book until the end, when during one of the contests at the Daylight Gathering, Lionpaw and Breezepaw get hurt in a collapsed tunnel incident and she understandably is quite distressed. Then Leafpool drops the "i'd give every drop of my blood for you Crowfeather" line and Nightcloud just tries to divert attention from that, understandably uncomfortable with what's being said.

One of the scenes that's commonly used as "evidence" that Nightcloud stopped Crowfeather from bonding with Breezepelt is this one:

No hissing or swatting. She just doesn't let him help, and considering we now know Crowfeather has been absent from the beginning and isn't above hitting and screaming at his kid, I think it's understandable that she arguably isn't going to stop just so he can help. But that's my interpretation, I think this scene in itself proves nothing of the sort either way and people were reaching when trying to use it as evidence.

Nightcloud's remaining appearances in The Sight is her watching over Breezepaw and Lionpaw as they recover:

That is the entirety of her appearance in The Sight. Onto Dark River! Where her first mention is Leafpool identifying her and Jaypaw sensing some jealousy from Leafpool, as the patrol is going to check in on WindClan and get information because of uh scents. you know usual warriors border bullshit. We then get Jaypaw noticing her breath, and finally him sensing jealousy from Nightcloud (that she does not act on). This is the entirety of her appearance in Dark River:

Cue Leafpool being polite to Crowfeather, and Crowfeather waving as many red flags as he possible can.

And onto the infamous Outcast! Where Nightcloud has *drumroll* one fucking appearance.

She also has one appearance in Eclipse where she's part of the patrol that attacks Lionpaw, but I'm not even going to mention it it's quite literally just him going "Nightcloud!" before the scene shifts to his and Heatherpaw's conflict. She is entirely absent in Long Shadows, there is no appearance of her beyond allegiances.

And finally in Sunrise, she is entirely absent until near the ending. She's first mentioned by Crowfeather when Jayfeather asks him if he knew the truth, then noticed at a gathering by Hollyleaf:

When the secret is revealed, Nightcloud stands with Crowfeather. No hissing or hitting or turning on him, here is the entirery of her appearance when Hollyleaf reveals everything:

This is it. This is the entirety of Nightcloud involvement in the story, she is barely mentioned and she is barely a character. Her appearances are dwarfed by Crowfeather and Breezepelt, and she is literally just a normal mom character throughout.

Nightcloud's Appearances in Omen of the Stars

Nightcloud is absent throughout the entirety of the Fourth Apprentice. She is only mentioned in the allegiances. She has one appearance in Fading Echoes:

Then there's Night Whispers, where her first appearance is her arguing with Crowfeather while Flametail goes "yikes!":

Her other appearance is the infamous grabbing scene that people latched onto as proof that Nightcloud was an abusive monster who was hurting poor Crowfeather and was forcing him to not bond with his son. Breezepelt and Lionblaze get into a border dispute and it escalates into a fight:

Leafpool intervenes and asks Crowfeather why he's not doing shit, he then proceeds to throw up multiple red flags in front of her and does the red flag dance:

We finally get Nightcloud where she comes in and pulls Crowfeather away from Leafpool. Despite using her claws, presumably because she does not have fucking THUMBS to grab onto him, no blood is drawn. She just pulls him away in an already emotionally charged and over dramatic situation. This is not comparable to Crowfeather's abuse of his son and with everything else I've presented, her grabbing him is not indicative of their relationship, ESPECIALLY given the circumstances of the action:

Her last appearance is her talking about shredding RC cats, it's not relevant but uh it's there. That the entirety of her appearances within the book.

She has no appearances in Sign of the Moon. She then has a two appearances in The Forgotten Warrior where she is hostile to Hollyleaf (which feels understandable to me considering what Hollyleaf did):

She has one onscreen appearance in The Last Hope where she defends Jayfeather from the Dark Forest attack with some other WindClan cats:

Her only other mention is Crowfeather blaming her for Breezepelt's behavior:

In canon, this never happens. We never see Nightcloud encourage Breezepelt to hate Crowfeather, but we instead see Crowfeather spending an entire book abusing Breezepaw when Nightcloud is away. This is bullshit, but the fandom took this as truth and immediately turned on Nightcloud despite no actual evidence.

There are three takeaways from this:

Crowfeather blaming Nightcloud is....false. It's false. We see no canon evidence of this, and in fact the books tell us another narrative.

Nightcloud is barely a character. She has so few actual appearances that calling her "complex" is a lie, she is a narrative tool that moreso supports Crowfeather and Breezepelt's conflict than any story of her own.

Even if Nightcloud did do all that offscreen, Crowfeather STILL abused his child and that is directly tied to Breezepelt's motivations within Omen of the Stars. Nightcloud's behavior does NOT negate the harm that Crowfeather did to his own son.

If you don't mind me asking- What is the dr*monies and the r*ylos thing about??

so the short of it is that people are selling physical copies of fics on etsy at an insane ($100+!!) cost without their writers permission, and in response to that violation, said writers are taking their fics down.

this is mostly contained to the dr*monies!! or at least it’s only them i’ve seen it affect. 🥹 i’ve seen outraged threads about it on twitter and devastated videos on tiktok (one of the authors is fairly popular, i think, and had a WIP going that now the readers of will never know the ending to 🥺) and—like, i’ve also seen people panic that this is going to kickstart a gutting of varying fandoms but tbh i think this is a very uniquely them problem LOL. like i said earlier, the dr*monies and the r*ylos occupy a really interesting space in fandom where they are so strictly straight—and it like, clearly resonates with the booktok crowd, the same readers who made smut in cartoon covers shoot to the top of best seller lists. so then you have videos about the single most popular dr*monie fanfic, manacled, taking off for it’s “dark romance” vibes, and making it viral within those circles—and then those readers, who maybe didn’t care for h*rry p*tter fanfic before but liked senlinyu’s dollhouse interpretation of these characters, go on to read and make super-popular other fics in the pairing. but that’s the problem, you’re introducing people who might be new to fandom and it’s conventions to a community they haven’t operated in before—and they’re coming from this like, really consumer-driven space where people post like… book hauls! bookstore vlogs (my personal fave lmao)! so then they see someone binding manacled out of love, for themselves or a friend who’s a big fan of it, and then they want a copy! so that creates a demand. and it just kinda—it snowballs from there.

it’s really interesting to watch, especially bc i do think the x reader community will be mostly safe from that flavour bullshit lmao. i feel for the writers involved, of course—like, senlinyu has announced that she’s going to pull manacled from ao3 within the next year, i think, because it’s being reworked into an original premise for publication. and while i have such an issue with both the dr*monie and r*ylo communities for basically inviting publishers to treat fanfic communities like untapped money making machines, there wasn’t much else sen could do to protect herself or her work. 🥺 like—she was the first target of all this nonsense! people were—are still, tbh—making money off of her work, without her seeing a dime and also opening her up to the possible legal action from the lawyers behind such a property.

tbh the real enemy in all of this is capitalism. 😩 fanfiction is one of the few, free things we still have that we can do whatever we want in it. there’s no censorship here, thanks to having archives like AO3. you can be as experimental or weird as you like, and there’s not going to be a studio or a publisher behind you going, “no, you can’t write that, it’s too risky, it won’t make money”. and idk!!! i think it’s a space worth protecting. and even though i think the fanfiction is in danger takes generally end up being alarmist, i do think it’s worth keeping our eyes and ears open—to keep up with what’s happening in adjacent communities. even if it’s just so we know what to watch out for, in our own.

Sorry if i'm bothering you but i really wanted to rant abt Johnny and Moz and hear some of your thoughts about these two certain topics that i can't get out of my head:  

I find it incredibly weird that Johnny and Morrissey (as far as we know) never became friends again or never tried to reconcile their relationship after the breakup - like how do you go from being best friends and hanging out with each other 24/7 to "We haven’t known each other for 35 years - which is many lifetimes ago." as Morrissey said on that letter. The strangest part to me is that, since the break up and to this day both Johnny and Moz never hesitate to mention again and again how much their relationship meant to them in the band and how much they loved each other during that period of their lives - i mean the way they describe each other and the words that they use come straight up from a romance novel. Also the fact that Morrissey continued to write songs abt how much Johnny meant to him and like Johnny getting that swallow tattoo on his neck and other weird stuff like why care to mention each other so much and make everything so dramatic when you - as you claim - haven't known each other for a lifetime? And idk on a personal level if it would be me in their situation i would at some point try to fix whatever we had if we obv meant that much to each other after all these years.

In all honestly when i read abt Marrissey Johnny sometimes just comes off as someone who suffered (and maybe still does) from internalised homophobia, when you read the way Moz talks abt him in his lyrics it definitely gives off that vibe "Though she needs you More than she loves you " , "Love is natural and real But not for such as you and I" or "I am born to hang but not to have kids and to never be wed - no, to someone whom I don't even love" and that interview when Moz said that "That perhaps Johnny Marr was in fact madly in love with me, but didn't feel he could act on that - or that he didn't have the courage to ever take it any further?'" And i don't want to seem like i'm trying to bash Angie or anything but i find they way the got married pretty weird and almost rushed in way like would they even get married if Joe Moss hadn't insisted that they do? Even Andy thought it was weird "They got married in some evangelical church. It was pretty bizarre. There were only about 10 of us there, including the crew. The ceremony only lasted about 15 minutes. I was a witness. Afterwards they hired a function room in the hotel and we had champagne and a buffet. It was a nice day, but it was just weird. It didn't seem real. You know what it's like in America - everything's plastic and phoney. It just didn't seem like a proper wedding. No relatives were there."

Hi anon! don't worry you're not bothering me at all, i'm always down to talk abt marrissey haha i'll just have to reply w/2 separate parts bc there's so much i want to say lmao 1. i've been chatting to @loathsome-tonight abt this (comparing notes, so to speak) and both of us agree that the "no-contact" situation after The Smiths' breakup is essentially bullshit, and for quite a few reasons: - first of all, there's proof they were exchanging notes around the time Morrissey was recording Viva Hate - when Johnny Rogan first published his book Morrissey and Marr: The Severed Alliance Morrissey predictably wanted no part in it, and Johnny only got involved bc he felt pressured by the author getting a bit too close to his friends and family. however, once the book came out Johnny apparently felt compelled to call Morrissey and reassure him abt the extent and the reasons of his involvement - when Morrissey released The Last of the Famous International Playboys, Johnny apparently sent him a note to congratulate him on its success - if you've read Morrissey's Autobio, you'll know he sent Johnny a letter in 1992, to which Johnny replied telling him he was sorry for everything that happened and taking "full responsibility". they then met each other and went for a drive on the moors - after that meeting, their relationship seemed to improve. in a 1993 interview for Select, Johnny said: "the relationship between me and Morrissey is the best in the group, of the four of us. i still see him now. i called him last night. last time i saw him was a couple of days before he went to do his recent album. we let a bored media get the better of us, but there's always been a certain telepathy between us even when we didn't see each other. we played a game with the press and they played with us, but it's not true life. no, we're friends." - then, the trial happened. and that's when things went south again between them. being interviewed with Bernard Sumner for The Face in july 1996, and being asked if he and Morrissey were still friends, Johnny said: "not... hmmm, i gotta admit i haven’t paid them too much mind. and since i, regrettably, still haven’t had the chance to read the book i don’t know much about Daeron or Joffrey for that matter (only what’s on the show and he’s a bb).

but let’s see, what do we think…

[According to info of the book Daeron was supposed to be Jacaerys’ age, but we all know that they switched and changed their ages on the show so we will go with that, and since Daeron is not in the show yet I’ll just run with it.]

So, they must probably be around an age— Daeron not growing up in King’s Landing and Joffrey also not growing up there, I feel like they have missed A LOT of the drama that’s going on and that surrounded their older siblings. Daeron also growing up away from Alicent, only receiving ravens and once in a lifetime visits, helps him not being as poisoned by her anxieties and extremist beliefs, (that’s to say, idk how he’s being raised in Old Town but he’s probably having a better time than Aemond, Helaena and Aegon ever had) so here, in my opinion, I’d like to think that when he gets there he’s like “wtf” with all the drama between his families. He knows who they are but he doesn’t really know them, none of both sides for that matter. He didn’t grow up around his brothers, mother and sister and he’s never seen Rhaenyra and her kids before, (that’s to say, perhaps he might have been present in Aegon and Helaena’s wedding).

He’s a green, but he’s probably neutral about the whole thing bc of his lack of attachment to everyone involved.

As for Joffrey, well he does love his side of the family to the core, he grew up in Dragonstone surrounded by dragons and his brothers and so much love. But about King’s Landing and his uncles and aunt he doesn’t know much. He’s seen them in the scarse visits there, but that’s about it. He got less of the ‘bastard’ treatment than Luke and Jace did by not being there. He was the third son, after all, plus he was just a new born when shit started to hit the fan, he was spared from a lot.

So yeah, idk, I think they’re more layback that everybody else. And let’s say the dance didn’t happen so soon and they’ve been older, in a scenario like the last supper in ep8, I like the idea of everyone being at each other’s throats and Daeron and Joffrey in the back like—

Daeron standing casually besides Joffrey, sipping on his wife while they watch their brothers beat the shit out of each other.

“So you’re one of the bastards?”

Joffrey snorts, popping a grape inside his mouth, “Fuck off.”

And it’s all actually kinda lighthearted. It’s not said with malice, it’s just casual banter. “Grape?” Joffrey offers, and Daeron shrugs, accepting it and chewing it slowly.

“Do you know what’s going on?” Daeron asks.

“Mm, it’s all years of tension and rivalry, actually. See that one over there? That’s my brother Luke, he took your brother Aemond’s eye when they were little.”

“Oh, yeah, I heard of that. Aemond won’t ever shut up about it, he always find a way to mention it and make it everyone’s problem.”

“Yeah well, Aemond stole my step-sister’s mother’s dragon the day of her funeral and then got into a fight with all of them—”

Joffrey and Daeron then get immersed into a deep conversation in the back as everything unfolds, and he catches him up with everything he knows of the rivalry between the families. They hit it off after that. They spend the entire night close, talking about everything and anything the other know while their families carry on with their bullshit. They even make bets on them.

They become close friends after that and are the only ones who don’t let any of the shit that’s about to get crazy come between them, even when they’re forced to be against each other in enemies sides. They’re the only ones who keep their bond till the end.

This is a tough convo 😬😬😬 and I’m honestly still working through what separating art from the artist means to me! But here’s sort of what I think.

I have always refused to watch Woody Allen movies or support Chris Brown’s music. And would 100% stop respecting anyone who preaches anti-vaxx or anti-choice bullshit. I’d never listen to Kanye West on purpose either. I think these dangerous narratives pushed out by ppl whose moral compass are clearly different than mine just totally water down the art they make. Kanye being a fucking weirdo antisemite automatically discredits any good music he makes, to me.

But I’ve also never been connected to any of it. I don’t care for his music, or Chris Brown’s, and I can live without Woody Allen movies. So it’s easy for me to boycott it all. With The 1975’s music—it shaped my teen years. It makes important statements, it breaks boundaries, I feel it so much more deeply than other music makes me feel. So as embarrassing or hypocritical it may be, it would probably take a lot for me to stop listening to it and supporting the band🥲

Matty’s issue is that he thinks ‘teenage boy peepee poopoo make me a sandwich humor’ is funny. Which is really immature and can be damaging to project. But then he turns around and says profound and very intelligent shit about important issues and builds this super leftist radical progressive political stance…… so what the fuck dude! Pick a fucking side! This is why I’m still here…. holding out hope that if he really cares about these issues then he’ll speak out.

Idk I’m rambling at this point but bottom line we just have to stop putting these celebs on pedestals. all the neal stephenson novels ive read at least part of, ranked

because ive read probably too much neal stephenson for any normal person and CERTAINLY too much for anyone who doesn’t actively work in the tech industry

the diamond age: MY BELOVED. this one goes bonkers crazy. kind of steampunk adjacent but also heavily implied to take place in the same (cyberpunk) world as snow crash. it’s about a little girl coming of age in a horrifyingly cynical dystopia and all the people who try to help her along the way both directly and indirectly. also REALLY interesting commentary on the effect of access to resources on life outcomes as well as philosophies based on idolizing the past. such a good book CANNOT emphasize this one enough. its one of my favorites ever

seveneves: MY BELOVED PART 2. personally i think this is probably objectively the best neal stephenson novel. basically at the start there’s 1 year (or something; i cant remember the exact time limit lol) until the moon breaks up completely and obliterates all life on earth. part 1 is about humanity’s attempts to preserve itself, part 2 follows the struggles of the remnants of humanity after most of the species is wiped out, and part 3 takes place like thousands of years later when earth is habitable again and humanity is returning. it’s seriously SO good oh my god. the diamond age is my personal favorite of neal’s but if you pick one book on this list to read pick seveneves fr

the rise and fall of DODO: also very very good. time travel plus magic shenanigans plus secret government organization. ties itself up VERY neatly for such a chaotic story lol. i do have one problem with it which is that it sets up a will-they-won’t-they kind of romance as the emotional core of the book but the payoff kinda falls flat to me even though i was invested. but otherwise i loved it, i would say this is the “fun” one in neal’s canon if you don’t want to have to wade through a lot of lectures about science and philosophy (which why wouldn’t you)(that’s the interesting part)

anathem: pretty good and interesting imo, but it was also very very slow-paced and philosophical so if you’re not into that you will not enjoy. basically goes ‘what if math was religion and also the many-worlds interpretation was 100% true’ and unfolds from there.

snow crash: good, obviously. i mean it kind of both defined and skewered an entire genre at the same time, is one of the more influential works of science fiction period, launched the idea of the Metaverse/a VR Internet into popular consciousness, et cetera. i just personally dont like it nearly as much as some of neal’s other work. it’s very.. chaotic in a way that’s harder to follow than the more meticulously written books i guess? hiro protagonist is an iconic name though

the big u: satire of american college life. im sort of on indefinite hold on reading this one bc my copy is at my parents’ house but it’s funny so far, if roughly as sexist as you might expect a book written by a cis man in the 80s to be. it’s supposed to get really fucking weird by the end which is why i haven’t officially quit reading it

zodiac: deeply boring. lots of interminable scenes of a guy going around on an inflatable paddleboat. i quit like 1/3 of the way through

cryptonomicon: the parts set during the 90s are pretty interesting, but i ended up noping out in the middle of Generic White Man Character #85′s endless war flashback about getting pinned down in guadalcanal. i know a lot of people really like this one though so idk maybe give it a shot if you have a higher tolerance for world war II bullshit than me

ivx is a bad book with a very badly written emma but imo death of x is a pretty okay continuation of the revolution and mission to protect mutants for both scott and emma? idk i don’t think emma’s actions ruin his legacy at all. he dies asking her to not let it end and while she herself is distraught with grief i think what everyone else sees in her projection of scott is a pretty accurate picture of him and his goals and methods which shows how well they knew each other. getting rid of the terrigen was for the best for mutants and the demonization that scott faces afterwards is the same way everyone was talking about scott post avx anyways. curious about how you think death of x specifically diverges from the revolutionary figure built up across bendis uncanny?

2 meeeee scott’s journey through uncanny was about losing his friends and family bc of his mental breakdown/ months long panic attack post xavier dying and him working through the trauma . and all the weird matthew malloy stuff was a huge wake up call in terms of endangering those he was meant to protect and he wanted to turn away from violence in #600 with his big speech you see multiple relationships he’d lost (storm kurt and i think bobby and then later magneto) turning around and idk rethinking their opinion of him and his methodology? it kind of mirrors hank’s intervention in how hank refused to change when his friends confronted him while scott needed that eye awakening moment to see he’s “on the wrong path”

and then i skipped secret wars sorry <3 but at the beginning of death of x you see him working on the same team as bobby iceman again . and bobby was one of The Most vocal scott haters throughout uncanny so that demonstrates to me a general change of opinion of scott and his whole deal. the general public was divided on him already so i don’t know how much his speech would change but based on him being back on the xmen roster by death of x. if the public still hated scott they probably just hated the xmen in totality

i think how emma handles the terrigen was a little extreme i mean scott would’ve stopped the most at all costs but announcing to the Entire Planet that terrigen mist will likely kill you all! is not a very rational act lmao. i also just hate the inhumans so i hate being reminded they exist and i loved when emma’s idea of scott comforting a dying man is to tell him he’s a Good Solider and that guys dying words were “i’m not a soldier?”

I just finished the book and I want to talk about it, so -- obviously -- spoilers ahead.

First I want to talk about the fact that this writing was AMAZING for me.

I used to get the feeling that sjm had one type of writing with tog and another with acotar (tog being my fav and ccity I have to reread to get into a bigger understand) but this book OMG.

I'm not talking exactly about the way she did it (though I loved the small chapters) but the things she decided that were important.... We got so many good stories about the courts, history, THE ILLYANS history, that was fucking amazing.

The second thing: how she handled the girls. They found each other,they loved each other even not knowing what """" they've done"""", Gwyn, Emerie and Nes are EVERYTHING and YES their stories ARE worth telling.... Sarah made their growing really good, made them take their time and that last scene when they tell each other everything, I cried SO MUCH, it was really well done for me.

I'm gonna talk about nessian first, then Nesta.

Nessian... Their development, the fact that Sarah made them already know about the bond (BITCHES WE WERE RIGHT) but " not act upon it" and Cassian making mistakes (because that's how it works) and Nesta even when he did kinda "understanding" and the scene when she tells him everything they indeed found healing in each others arms.

And the sex... Guys..... THE FUCKING SEX... I knew it would be 😳😳, but I was NOT expecting both of them enjoying a little pain, saying stuff like " think of you. Of your cock." or “I love being so covered in your seed that it leaks out of me for ages afterward. I love feeling it slide down my thighs and knowing you left your mark in me.” THAT WAS BRUTAL.

Anyway... Nesta Archeon.

There were a lot of quotes and things that Nesta has said that made my heart cry, the thing about selling herself for food, the way Nesta said she hated herself and the thing with Thomas and her mother omg, Nesta deserves love.

She is definitely one of the best characters I've ever read. Her journey.... We've learned A LOT from her past (stuff that we've missed it because it has been Feyre's pov and feyre herself never knew), we have her dacing, her love for music (that music box, I cried), we have her confessing many times that -unfortunately- she pushed away "bc didn't want to hurt anyone "and then saying to herself stuff like "she would do it again" about Cassian... AND THE STEPS.

That was AMAZING to read. The ideal behind it...Nesta going and going and everything something went wrong she went again and through the book you can see the change of "I'm doing to get down there and drink " to "I'm doing to put myself together"... Personally it was an amazing way of showing that even though, idk, she fucked cassian, the fact that any priest had signed to train with her still bothered her and brought everything back, because that's how life works triggers and stuff.... And then Amren doesn't believe in her and she finally gets down, I honestly thought that she was going to the first tavern she would find but NO she goes to Amren and Feyre is there and Nesta does something that crushes her spirit.. And the "trip"... Him giving her the space until she finally says everything -- she feels totally comfortable around him to say it.. That scene made my heart so sad and worm omg.

The Valkyrie thing... Nesta is going to LEAD...SHE BASICALLY WON THAT FUCKING THING, SHE IS A POWERFUL AND BRAVE WARRIOR AND I'M SO HAPPY FOR HER THAT OMG... I loved it.. She found a purpose and when she talks about leading the priests and cassian is on board omg, she is a fucking general and well, in the next war they will be leading armies together...

Az and Nesta... I saw it coming, they are PERFECT...When she hugged him I felt hugged as well.

RHYSAND AND NESTA "HER BROTHER" that's all I'm going to say.

Feyre and Nesta.... nes's first I love you was towards her sister, she gave her power away for her sister, she loved feyre very much, that's it.

A little bit more of nessian now (lol)... The fact that in the entire book we have so many beautiful things being "thought" from both, and then she just says everything...That he is good and brave and she thinks she doesn't deserve him but we know that he was the one who thought that and the EVER OMG THE E V E R . (HE CRIED, I TOLD YOU GUYS HE WOULD).

And then... the talk about them being mates.

They both knew it, they both felted but she was afraid and he didn't wanted to pushed into her so he left and omg the struggle and then “Because my mate taught me well.” I SCREAMED... Nesta saying many times that from the moment they've met she couldn't stop thinking about him and it drove her insane and scared but we know it was kinda a of a "good scared" and if you think about it and look back, when feyre asked cassian "why do you bother" HE KNEW ALREADY and in the beginning of the book Nesta asks him the same thing and he just “Why did you stay at my side when we went up against the King of Hybern during that last battle?” DUDE THEY KNEW!!!!

And a cute fact that I cannot left unsaid: she also named his poses/faces :")

I think Az may be in a bad place rn so that whole "the cauldron may have made a mistake" was really "Hey ho, hold up" (I'm nut exactly okay with how rhys handle it... He wasn't wrong I guess but idk, the scene felt weird)..

I haven't read the feysand scene :(

To summon: I loved the book, a lot of amazing things to say... I can say that the similarly with feysand in a particular scene made me go a little "it could have been different" but still a powerful scene after all and I don't think besides that I have actual complaings... Only that I wanted a scene where Cassian looked at Nessian's tattoo and talked about it.... And since we are mentioning him... He has the biggest wingspan... There's no way that a bigger cock exists :)

sighs so i’m one of the leads in this 3 act show, it’s a small cast of characters and our first act is naturally the Longest but we haven’t ran it in like... weeks lmao and not since our soft off book week started, so running it today was like.. lowkey a bit rough 

we have a student director and a stage manager, the stage manager is supposed to be on book to give lines as per norm etc etc, but the stage manager has been like.. gone for the past few weeks for w/e personal reasonings, so our director has been givin lines n stuff and today was SM’s first time doin that instead.... and Oh boy 

like as a person she’s already kinda [offputting] and [cold], and i remember before she had her leave she was like... weirdly adamant in knowing the script better than the actors did?? which like for things like [set] and [blocking] sure ig whatever, but she was trying to tell us things about the like.. story and reasoning behind actions we were supposed to make as if we haven’t been the ones studying this script for the past like over a month 

anyway, she was being like... really rude whenever me and my scene partner called line today? and wouldn’t just give us the line, she’d give us some fuckin offhanded comment like “ *making a big deal out of not knowing where we were at* .. well [name of my character] skipped this whole part at the bottom of pg 54 lol” and id have to repeat like ‘‘,, okay well can you just give me the line at [wherever] then’’ which like is just frustrating and already takes me more out of character than just calling line does.. and naturally her being a way everytime we tried to call line just made me and the scene partner uncomfortable calling line so we’d stand there for longer and fuck up lines we did know and i made eye contact with one of the other actresses sitting in the audience several times every time SM said anything to me because she was just being like Vehemently rude and it was very clearly not just a me being sensitive thing lol 

said actress told me she was gonna say something to the director when i came to sit down for a five, and then immediately pulled her aside, and then the director came back to pull the SM aside and i like immediately started ~sobbing~ bc it’s not that deep i know it’s mostly bc the actress saw me like [on the verge of tears] on stage several times that things had to be said and :’^) the director came back and like gave us the natural “you guys are doing great this is a long and hard act im proud of all of you” speech and then asked if it’d be more productive to keep going or to shotgun lines instead or to just call rehearsal and i ended up just opting to leave bc continuing to run the act was Going to give me problems 

i learned later (as of the last like half hour actually) that the SM was bragging to one of my mutual friends that she like.. learned the entire show in just a week and just like i’m so Upset bc for 1 that is just like.... Bullshit lmfao like i refuse to believe you know every single person’s lines in a 3 act show i Saw that you were reading the script.... but also like weird flex?? good for you i guess ???

i know it’s very much Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things and im disproportionally upset about it, but like.... idk college theatre has been sort of a [safe spot i’ve been working on] given the events of like how fucking bad and toxic people were to me when i did theatre in hs, i’ve only Just Now been getting back into the hang of things and starting to be comfortable acting and ive been making a lot of good process and then shit like this happens and it’s just so.... weirdly triggering :’^) something about being the only person crying with everyone looking at me reassuring me that i can indeed Act like makes me really fucking sick to my stomach

My grandma made her transition

ot like the bullshit fake woke companies from the late George Floyd. I got a chick I been with for almost 2 years now but when I tell you this broad will test my patience. Sometimes I be wondering if I should be like the og who came to barber school when I was locked up talking bout all his trips with the boys with his wife at home but smashing side chicks all over but keeping his wife straight finally.. lol what more can they ask for. 

Idk.. fucking covid-19 literally changed the way the world functions, prices have gone up and people are affected by mass hysteria and tricked into doing shit they normally wouldn’t. 

Imma continue to skip the group think and think for myself but it’s getting pretty wild out here, not gonna lie. My day one broski is getting married in Hawaii with the bachelors trip and wedding in the coming months. Vegas and then Hawaii.. I used to dream about shit like this. I’m definitely FAR from rich but I’m def not having to whip the civic around the city making deliveries, thrifting, flipping phones, taking shifts at the baba and all the other shit to make ends meet. I can use pto and fuck off with the boys in Vegas.. I think at this point, I just wanna make sure my mom and dad are good and try to nurture my relationship the best I can from my end. Seems like it won’t last.

 But I’m not tripping, life goes on, as they say. Can stress on what isn’t meant for me. It’s hard to let go though, for a multitude of reasons I haven’t pulled the trigger on quitting for good.  I’m also thankful as fuck to be alive rip to all those lose during Covid it just in a daily basis. Every day we wake up is a gift and a blessing.. I be trying to be more giving/thankful/able to show/give gratitude when I can. 

My thoughts on this are so fucking random, sometimes i wonder if I have so undiagnosed mental illness from that but then again I smoke all day everyday legit, and can get ALOT of shit done. I just got promoted at my new job and have expectations within myself to perform and reach my next promotion within 6 months. We will see if that actually happened but I feel like if I continue to get better at it everyday and always be open to learning the potential is limitless. On some super random shit crypto’s and nfts are the wave and a lot of people will get left behind.. I actually need to do more research on nfts and start making moves bc they’re here to stay!!! 

 Travis Scott concert incident was contrived and evil in every sense. Demonic music and sacrifice most def. I am boycotting his music along with Drake. That shit is disgusting. i would love to see companions like fenris, merrill, and zevran return as well!!! and i feel like dorian is a given return bc, post-trespasser, he's back in tevinter. this is also much more random but i just have a feeling that josephine will make a cameo as well

(my theories for dorian and josephine's return is also bc, at the end of trespasser, their end is Always the same like dorian is Always back in tevinter and josephine is Always back in antiva, unlike other characters who have multiple endings depending on your choices) (so it's like...... if there's a consistent ending, maybe it means that they're gonna return?) (it's probably not a strong theory, and i don't think they're the only characters with a more determined ending, but it's just a thought!!)

i want elf companions that get along and don't hate the dalish

i do hope that the inq returns for da4 like. as an advisor or like the role hawke took in dai. do i trust bioware to handle my most favored hero? absolutely not. but i want to see him.

i also have a theory that, depending on whether or not the inq drank from the well of sorrows, you will either have an ally in the inquisitor or a possessed enemy in the inquisitor and....... listen if i have to fight my Most Favored Hero, i will cry my eyes out, but it would be narratively fitting because solas can control the inq through the well

in a perfect world, the warden would return as well, but i've just accepted that bioware will probably never touch the wardens again (which like to a degree makes sense bc some wardens Do Die in origins but.... still...............)

and then some more serious things that i am really hoping that bioware follows through on under the cut bc this is getting long:

i really hope da4 isn't just "elves bad everyone else good" bc the ending of trespasser implied that solas is already recruiting elves and i just. really hope that da4 doesn't become "we were right to treat the elves poorly because look! they want the world to end!" and like? i'm torn as to whether or not i have hope. ik there's been a large turnover of writers for dragon age and tbh i'm kinda hoping that that brings about some fresh ideas

^^ my worries for that one come from all the bullshit dai spewed about the dalish

i'm also hoping that bioware just. handles tevinter correctly. like yes tevinter is the most magically advanced place and i'm excited to see that but also tevinter is. morally abhorrent. and honestly i'm so terrified that da4 is gonna pull "well is slavery really that bad?" solely bc the game is taking place in tevinter. like, idk if i'm wording this correctly at all but just....... idk if i trust bioware to follow through on criticizing tevinter when the game is based in tevinter.

on that same note, i want to see the lucerni (dorian and maevaris's faction) and see if bioware will actually follow through on the lucerni's motives to change tevinter or if they're just going to be 1) not even mentioned, 2) fall to bioware's shitty grey morality, or 3) have no effect on the game

^^ i have mixed feelings on the above two points However i have heard that some of the comics/books have given people scraps of hope (specifically tevinter nights w/ how dorian's views have changed and then the comics that [i think] fenris has been in seem to delve into some stuff as well?) (but still i haven't read any of the comics/books so i'm only going off of what people have said) (though i do want to read some!! so if anyone has any recs....)
