My main sona, I realized that theming my sonas around my @ was a stupid idea so I made something that I felt would truly represent me

Finished watching the dub of Dandadan twice so I'm checking out the sub to see how it compares... And after watching the intro like 80 times I noticed that Okarun has the Golden Record behind him here

The Golden Record was sent with the Voyager into space as a 'bottle' for aliens to find so that they could use it to decipher our languages and understand what our planet might have been like.

In other words... It's included on the probe with the hope that it might be discovered by aliens!

I wonder who else noticed this...

I've been thinking about it for a bit (and it's probably obvious) but did you notice the giant frog and the tentacles are basically clown fish and anemones? I only realized once someone pointed out to me that the giant frogs have clown fish colors.

And then I realized the tentacles are also classified as "anthozoa" in the AB which is the the class anemones are a part of

The comment about nematocysts is also how it works for anemones, Kui draws a pretty cool graph of how it works too (a little different real ones but conveys the idea well)

I just always thought that was a pretty cool detail that I missed for a while! It's very cool how inspired by real animals Ryoko Kui's monsters are, I'm always amazed by how much sense they make.

like louis SAUGHT HIM OUT after FIFTY YEARS he FOUND HIS BOY, this horrible infant who DID NOT UNDERSTAND A THING HE TOLD HIM, who saw his raw, decades-old pain and wanted in on it, AND HE GOES BACK FOR HIM BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE’S CHANGED. he can understand now. he can help him find the truth.

and like, they’re both absolutely terrified by each other because they’re both uniquely skilled at getting under each other’s skin and finding that truth (and also because… louis could just up and eat daniel anytime but shhhh…) and it’s because they UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER. louis’s interviewing daniel as much as daniel’s interviewing him, just. pulling teeth from each other’s head, trying to pull out all the rot with such violence and cruelty (from both of them!! daniel is a cockwallop!!) but they want to help each other they CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER.
