💜 Lavender 💜 MY LAST COLOUR COLLAGE POST?! Is it really true?! I’ve been posting these since November of last year... when your perception of time blows your mind hole for the umptenth time since the pandemic started 🤦🏻‍♀️ Nevertheless, when I started planning for posting my colour collage series, I knew pretty early on it might not pull a lot of audience and/or engagement. I decided despite that to go through with it, because it is an important part of who I am as an artist. Just the fact that I want to say that I also just like how they look in my gallery — is in and of itself an important, and pretty telling, part of who I am as an artist (and person). My mom has told me countless of stories of me organizing things by colour, already at only a couple of years old. Yellow. Good ol’, plain yellow. I LOVE yellow. However, I’ve found that I am very partial to it being used minimalistically together with black, white, and/or grey. What’s your favourite ice cream flavour? I couldn’t decide so I’m calling this colour Vanilla cream/orange sorbet. Maybe it’s an orange sorbet vanilla cream? Nevertheless, I’ve realized that I use it quite a lot in my work. I like using it as the lightest colour of the piece instead of for example pure white, which can make the overall feel a little warmer and softer, something I’m quite fond of. . . Hunter’s Green. One of my last winter colours of the year! I love this deep, slightly muted green. Being a Simmer as I am (❇️), I’ve found this is my new favourite colour to decorate with — especially together with light, dusty pinks. #nerdygirl . . Did you know that green is the colour of healing? I’ve found that when I’m down, I enjoy the company of green more than usual. Both in the shape of plants and nature as well as simple artificial hues. Last colour post I made is nothing compared to this deep, luxurious and mysterious Emerald green, if you ask me. What would you call this colour? To me this is simply a ”warm purple”. The “warm” part is crucial as you will see in my next colour palette post where I am planning on showing its cooler equivalent — I in fact see a great difference in the two; their uses and their emotional connotations.
