Okay… this gives beauty and the beast vibes. And I’m telling you, every time I see that movie (one of my favorite Disney movies, btw) I just imagine Logan just adoringly gazing at you like the Beast looked at Belle as she read. And Logan WILL beg you to read to him (in a casual way though, cause he still has that gruff reputation to maintain) more so before bed. Maybe his mom, or even Victor, read to him when he was sick? I just want a fic where Ida affectionately blackmails the Waynes to help Team Phantom.

She and Alfred have been in a long-term and long-distance relationship

Ida definitely knows the Waynes are the Bats but has maintained plausible deniability up to this point

I think it would be out of character if Alfred didn't know that she knows, therefore he does

The Bats don't know that Ida knows and might not even know she's anything more than a distant friend of Alfred's

I'm torn on whether Sam's parents know that Ida has a relationship with Alfred

Ot1h, it would be hilarious that she kept it hidden from them. Maybe Sam knows and relishes in the rebellious nature of her grandma

Otoh, there is potential for Alfred being Sam's bio grandpa, either legitimate or scandalous, as well as potential family drama of hiding an affair with a butler

It could also color the Mansons' perception of the Waynes, too. Instead of the cliche of constantly throwing Sam at one of the Wayne kids to "marry up," they despise the Waynes because their butler defiled poor innocent Ida, or potentially dont want media attention digging into family history and finding that one of Sam's parents is the child of a butler, an affair, or a butler-affair.

If the Martha/Yhomas/Alfred threesome is invoked, things could get messy if Ida was actually part of a foursome, and one of the Manson parents is potentially an illigitimate wayne. Bruce's kids would potentially be Sam's cousins.

The cliche that Sam hates the wWaynes because her parents keep throwing her at them? Hilariously reversed. They're constantly telling Sam not to associate with the Waynes but never explain why. Rebellious Sam is gonna do the opposite, do her research, and demand to know why her parents hate the Waynes who run a meticulously clean company and dozens of legitimate charities that do some actual real good. Why can't you be more like Bruce?!

Enter Danny's accident and the sudden influx of ghosts. Ida sees the signs and requests that Alfred sends the Waynes over to appraise the situation. Could be extremely early on, or the team has had several months to establish themselves.

Suddenly, Sam is informed that Uncle (literal, socially adopted, or affectionate, use of the title is still up to interpretation at this point, but Ida is the only one that gives him that title to Sam) Bruce and his family will be visiting. She's delighted to meet *the* Bruce Wayne, may or may not be confused about him having a familial title. ("What do you mean we're possibly related? I've had a crush on Jason Todd since before he faked his death!" "You confessed your undying love for him when you were nine, Sammykins. We figured it was a phase." "I almost ran away to attend his funeral!" "You WHAT?")

Anyways, canonically, Sam is the one most interested in Danny becoming a hero, so she's going to be ecstatic to learn that her uncle/"uncle" is Batman and he's offering to personally train her. It'll be another massive point against her parents for not liking Bruce, regardless of the fact that they don't actually know that he's secretly a superhero.

I got a ton more points to add about how introducing the batfam like this, and so early in the timeline, could deviate the story, but this was initially about Ida and Alfred. So I'll just finish off by mentioning that any such fic is contractually required to have both the Waynes and Team Phantom utterly grossed out by the "old people romance" going on between Ida and Alfred.

Ida is "norwegian-like" one but I swear this model is the closest one to image in my head so she's is my personal dreamcast.

2. Fashion

In the summer season, Ida likes to wear cute dresses with bows and ribbons, and closer to autumn or winter time, Ida wears cozy warm sweaters and overalls. She has a weakness for knitwear and cute handmade jewelry, so there's no doubt that at least some of her wardrobe was handmade, by her or her close friends.

3. Choice of weapon

Mentally, Ida doesn't cope well with direct confrontation. She rarely resorts to fighting and tends to do her own thing secretly if she believes that her decision can also save the enemy. She can easily be accused of meanness, despite her desire for honesty, and her weapons are nothing more than a desperate last resort. At first glance, she's is harmless and "aesthetic girl", but she can be a dangerous opponent. Therefore, a comb poisoned with a temporarily paralyzing poison suits her personality well.

4. Flower

Ida's flower is gypsophila. Gypsophila symbolizes beauty, innocent love and childish affection. These are the few flowers that retain their shape even after withering.

Well, if we're sticking to the characters in PostmasterWIP they're all from different cultures and backgrounds so they all celebrate things a bit differently.

Ida, Renia, and Bolek are all Theden, so would celebrate with dancing, drinking and singing, but Ida is from Eathel while Renia and Bolek are from Goria, so they have their own traditions from back home too.

In Eathel Ida would spend New Year's Eve in the town square, drinking wine and eating honeyed fruit cakes. It's a night for getting dressed up in your finest clothes, getting your fortune told by little old ladies pouring melted wax into buckets of water and interpreting the shapes it makes, but most importantly at the stroke of midnight everyone would have to scream and shout and bang drums and shake rattles to scare misfortune away from the coming year. The louder the celebration, the better the new year would be. Ida particularly looked forward to the noise-making because the child who made the most noise would be rewarded by the mayor with their own single Copper Crow (the second smallest denomination of imperial currency) while the head of the family would be given a single Silver Rook (the second largest denomination of imperial currency) and Ida's family were very good at making noise.

In Gorian tradition on New Year's Eve everyone in the town or village would gather on the shore of the nearest lake or river, build a large bonfire, roast a whole pig, and drink and dance until the bell is rung to announce that midnight has arrived, at which point everyone strips off their clothes and runs fully naked into the freezing water, (a superstition for washing off the bad luck of the old year and cleansing themselves for the coming one). The tradition of communal public nudity fell out of favour with the Gorian upper classes, so Renia and Bolek would likely have had a private bonfire and ice bath with other members of the aristocracy in a controlled and civilised environment (though both secretly prefer the idea of running off into the dark with a hundred strangers to cleanse themselves in the icy water of some natural lake or river).

Luus, Til, Neer, and Nol are all Favalan from the Weterlands, and tend to have slightly less raucous celebrations involving cleaning their houses top to bottom, burning herbs, eating a large dinner with extended family, and kissing each and every person in the room at the stroke of midnight.

The Delvish and Muin are longer lived than Thedenfolk, and don't keep the same calendar, so New Year isn't as much of a big deal for Aarna and Fannan, but Fannan celebrates the passing of the shortest day of the year with Muin traditions; offerings to the eldest member of their community, crowning the youngest with a wreath and making them King for the night, and feasting on dried mushrooms and honey wine until the first light of the sun that beckons the coming lighter days.

If they were all spending New Year together, they would likely mix all of their traditions, all singing and dancing and drinking, making noise at midnight, kissing one another, then jumping into the nearest body of water before warming themselves by the fire with honey wine until they see the first light of the new year.

Sure! Here’s something thoughts. ||. I think Gale wouldn’t be so shocked…between what he himself had to see with Sanchez (it was not a “complicit” integration tactic yet still) and what he’s going through currently with practically having to allow his men to barter parts of themselves for supplies, he’s more in a bit of horror that everything that has been bad ? Is about to get worse under the SS and what Ida went through could be him next. And he wants a game plan. But what the fuck is there to do?

So I can see him being pissed at Bucky who is in a rage over past things.

If it doesn’t help right now? Gale doesn’t want energy expended on it and Bucky sure expends some energy on “how could you’s?” aimed at Ida which Gale feels in his soul since he’s secretly having to make her same choices in other ways.

None of it encourages any of them to share secrets with each other. Ida feels moderately judged for one of the most awful things she ever sat through, Gale feels confirmed he could never tell Bucky what he’s already doing, and Bucky feels very out of the fuckin’ loop but then expected to behave seamlessly.

In the end. The fact they’re fracturing just like the SS wanted helps snap them back into some semblance of unity, even if the trust is bruised and the harmony is skin deep.

and one of those characters is nezumi who is ironically a cat boy (well not literally but effectively) who tatsumi almost kills on accident by hitting him with his fricking car and ditched by his old unit (one that's unnamed and otherwise not plot relevant) because quite frankly they didin't think he was going to live and even if he did he wasn't likely to be able to dance again.

Poor, poor Nezumi then is thankfully welcomed into Critical Hit a unit based on dungeons and dragons. And it was only while typing this out to chatter about them...that I realized It was pretty FRICKING MEAN to name it CRITICAL HIT considering he most certainly took a CRITICAL FREAKING HIT from Tatsumi, sincerely, we did not think of the implications.

the pink girl is the healer of the group and no one knows her *real* name. adoptive sister to green hair. Secretly she's actually got the same asthetic sense as undead but she doesn't want anyone to know she's NOT cutesy pink and fluffy all the time, she has an unwanted collection of cute plushes she has tea parties with when guests are over so they believe she really loves them. She has actual medical knowledge to some degree. the leader is the purple one (he's also the dm) he was kicked out of switch within .5 seconds of joining and now they put up wards to protect themselves against him. he's very sorry about that. red and blue haired boi is their fighter, and he's got a sort of knightly persona, despite this, he is terrified of everything and despite his stoic expression and tough guy vibes, he will cry if you leave him alone in a dark room. green boi was a little too helpful to Eichi during the war and now Shu (a childhood friend of his) despises him (rightfully so) and he has been placed for cruelty reasons, directly into the nightmare dorm. thankfully he loves camping, because he will do ANYTHING to avoid going back to his dorm.

and then we have the inventor, the yellow haired one. He thinks its really funny to make terrible, terrible things and then give them to questionable people at the school so they can wreak havoc with them. He also likes using the dm as a test rat. The dm tests magic spells on him too. both are equally wretched at their chosen craft, and everyone wishes they'd stop but they simply will not.

The Police were called early one October 7th morning to a suburban neighborhood, a quiet Cul-de-sac where all the people living there soon gathered around aghast to see kindly old Abe Herzog bloodied and being rushed away in an Ambulance. Their statements of disdain and horror mirrored each other. Their daughter whose name was Anne, had become his incestuous plaything from as early age or as long as she could remember. Shockingly it turned out she also became an invaluable source of information in revealing the underlying motive of the"crime"on that day. She had been home schooled on Abe's cautious insistence, unknown to him her mother had secretly supplied her with diaries as gifts over the years, so she would have a hobby to fill her lonely hours of isolation. My Hero Academia's Most Popular Hero Was Supposed To Be a Villain

Kohei Horikoshi initially conceived one hero student to be hated by fans, but he instead turned out to be the most popular My Hero Academia character.

As the My Hero Academia franchise boasts a plethora of characters, it only makes sense that not everyone would be equally popular, but it's surprising to learn that the one character who always comes out on top in the popularity polls was actually designed by author Kohei Horikoshi to be a villain.

In a class full of students with unique powers, personalities, and journeys, some of them are bound to stand out more than others. Additionally, fans are likely to be swayed by what information is revealed or how much screen time and attention each character receives. One might expect that the creator of a series knows how their fans are going to react to a character, but it turns out that Kohei Horikoshi completely missed the mark in regards to Bakugo, as stated in an interview for SDCC 2018.

Horikoshi Never Expected Bakugo To Become So Popular

Bakugo from My Hero Academia

The one character whose popularity surprised Horikoshi is Katsuki Bakugo, the fiery bomb hero of UA High School. According to Horikoshi, "Bakugo has been a bit of a surprise. I assumed everyone would hate him, but it's been the opposite". Surely enough, in the character popularity polls periodically made for My Hero Academia, Bakugo consistently comes out on top. Horikoshi, instead, expected the audience to hate Bakugo, given his history of constantly mocking and bullying Deku. He had assumed that people would be unable to look beyond his actions, criticizing Bakugo for his attitude and behavior, as he is often more negative and seemingly aggressive compared to his peers. However, even though Horikoshi went as far as to include a scene wherein Deku and Bakugo were fighting, its consequences seem to have been the opposite of what he expected.

Bakugo has always been the bully, and he ends up going to school with Deku. So I had them in a big fight pretty early on, but through that fight you were able to see Bakugo's humanity, that he was just a short-tempered kid.

Thankfully, fans were able to empathize with and relate to Bakugo in spite of everything he did. They understood that his bullying and teasing never came from a place of anger or hate, but rather one of weakness. Bakugo is short-tempered, a trait that is seemingly inspired by and reflected in his hero design and abilities. But even behind this theme lies a deeper meaning. Even though others may see him as arrogant or overconfident, he struggles with personal issues and insecurities too. He may act like he's superior to his peers, but Bakugo secretly always admired Deku's strength and perseverance, at times even feeling intimidated by his willpower.

Bakugo's Actions Speak Louder Than His Words

Moreover, in spite of everything he says, Bakugo's arrogance is almost always surface-level at best. In truth, he was never one to abandon his friends or give up on someone he could save. He fought relentlessly because he genuinely believed in his own strength, and sometimes ran ahead of others because he didn't want to be burdened by them or to put them in danger unnecessarily. And while fans were already fond of Bakugo from the very beginning, his character development and growth have been impressive as well. A particularly memorable moment would be Bakugo's new hero name reveal, through which he re-affirmed his identity.

is easy to assume that a creator can decide and predict what characters are to be liked or disliked. After all, they have complete control over the thoughts, deeds, and screen time of these characters. However, what creators don't have control over is the reaction of the fans. Even when a message has an intended reading, the audience can instead perceive and accept a different meaning as truth. At the end of the day, empathy and personal experiences can never be calculated, or disregarded. This is a fact that Horikoshi learned when he found out that Bakugo, rather than being perceived as a villain, had become My Hero Academia's most popular character.
