ok i havent drawn a lot so ill do a big artdump of some stuff i abandoned or at the very least wont finish for a long while (id in alt and story/thoughts below the image)

In a server that I'm in, we briefly talked about Descole hypothetically returning in NWOS and somebody mentioned he should bring Keats along. Inspiration struck and I drew this. I was hoping I could use Blender to make the buildings and whatnot, but I was intimidated by the task and ultimately ended up dropping the entire thing.

The building that Keats and Descole are on is… Meant to be a rough placeholder, I didn't mind redoing the entire thing but I wanted to at least have a vague idea before the entire draft slipped from my mind.

Segments of a comic I drew for a friend in a super silly AU with dante from the limbus company hand on hip . Id get super embarrassed if i shared the details of the au because we kinda said "fuck it we ball" and made up stuff that shouldn't work at all lol. It's also why there's no text in the speech bubbles.

But the general gist of why I drew this is because we kept discussing a scenario where Descole has to fix up something in Dante's clockhead (vaguely inspired by that april fools episode) and i had a strong vision ab the comic. Also I had to make their head in blender because i was struggling with the perspective and wanted a flexible reference. First time drawing something not made out of flesh fur or fabric!! had a blast rendering the fire and the shine though. SUPER fun super recommend

I just like this little doodle,,, the expression vaguely reminds me of a ghibli villain and it scratches my brain. im expecting him to move on twos at 24 fps very subtly at any moment now.

And finally... um... yeah. "draw a character in this pose" sort of beat. sometimes I alternate using the sketchbook and marker pens in firealpaca and this is one of my rare marker doodles. Also this is pretty old afaik but i still think about it sometimes

anyway tho like. now that ive played the 1.2 story and sat on it a bit id say my overall thoughts are def mixed. i enjoyed a lot of it but theres some things that sorta just stick out or dont work and the pacing definitely worked against the story

(just a long rant/ramble upcoming its not coherent at all lol)

one thing that rly rubbed me the wrong way was like. while overall this story rly sold fu xuan as a character to me (i was a huge fan of her presence overall) the dan shu thing just felt? wrong? and like to be clear it wasnt just fu xuan the scenes writing was off in general but her role in being the one countering dan shus points just made her p central to the problem.

but like my issue is that dan shu is previously established as having very understandable reasons behind her resentment of lan that made her compelling as twist villain imo. Yet that resolve was nowhere in the scene in her rebuttal of the xianzhous ways?? when i think that shouldve been The moment of her calling out the xianzhou and actually challenging fu xuan properly. it wouldve been an even better opportunity to expand upon how fu xuan responds to being confronted with the xianzhous flaws and hypocrisy and problems. but somehow yassified dan shu really just. had a generic villain speech and thats it. the callback to their heritage as former followers of abundance was... fine? but like it wasnt that impactful. and fu xuan essentially calling her nothing but a power hungry villain when thats very much Not what dan shus motivation boils down to sucks and now players who didnt read her diary or play/pay attention to her side quest will think of her as just a generic bad guy and not a very tragic complex figure of her own

then the like. underutilization of blade was just like. ok what was the point. it IS funny to reference the tuxedo mask meme and how he skewers his ex yet immediately gangs up with him against yanqing and all but honestly he shouldve gotten to be more feral and present than he did like its just meh. ig its kafka keeping him from messing up elios script but cmon. i want more of him. yanqing also got done so dirty in that scene like. he shouldve gotten some more screentime and focus even if his job was p much to just get bodied. kid just watched jing yuan make deals with criminals no way he isnt affected by it

in general i was p shocked how inexistent the high cloud quintet was from the story. but ig w how rushed the pacing was for dan hengs backstory reveals at times already ig its better left for later (hopefully). i just rly hope this means that the topic get its time to shine properly in the future. esp since im p sure they never even named any of dan fengs crimes outright which is a curious choice.

jing yuan got a rly solid characterization and i definitely enjoyed it!!! even if im a little miffed at how they didnt give dan heng enough breathing room to come to terms with the emotional impact of facing his past and memories thanks to the plot moving forward so fast and he was kinda the one leading that. but he was still great - i liked the scheming side to him and the arguably pretty ruthless way he leveraged dan hengs exile status to force his hand to cooperate a lot. his reasoning makes sense obvi but its still a very brutal and utilitarian approach and i like that energy for his character. his duty is to the luofu above all else even if thats far from all he is about. overall his and dan hengs interactions including dan heng very much emphasizing his desire to be seen as separate from dan feng were a highlight for sure. and jing yuans final showdown moment against phantylia slapped obviously

and then w dan heng im torn between like. really loving all the good stuff we got with the insane cutscenes and the vidyadhara echoes and then wishing that he got just that little bit more for his own realizations and inner conflict. and the part about not properly featuring blade also hurt his story too imo bc the anticlimactic nature of the scene where blade confronts him and forces the transformation and how he n kafka just... leave rly kinda flattens the impact of the reveal moment esp since thats when jing yuan just all but openly says ok time for the plot. but they still did a great job selling DHIL and i think im overall a fan of how they seem to have handled the dan feng vs dan heng thing (and its roughly what i was expecting). dan feng is dead but its never just that simple either. i hope theyll be exploring the exact nature of dan fengs sins and the sedition in the future

im so mad i spoiled myself the tingyun thing bc jfc the neck snap wouldve hit So hard if the reveal itself was also a complete surprise. and its sth that was genuinely well built up like i remember thinking her 1.0 dialogue was kinda sus but wouldve never imagined the actual truth. dont do leaks folks sometimes this happens and it sucks :/ but i have to say phantylia herself was kinda? underwhelming. i liked when she picked up jing yuan like a little bug she wanted to squish and the boss fight was cool but to be fair. this was like 50% bc of how bad the sound mixing was for all of her dialogue that overlapped w in game battle. she rly lacks the necessary menace and imposing energy when u can barely even make out what shes saying 😭 her voice shouldve been as loud and large as her..... Presence. jing yuan carried the boss fight and the final cutscene but man the fade to black rly didnt do the abrupt ending any favors like we just teleport to exalted sanctum and thats it???? maybe jing yuan dies maybe not!!!

overall my prime issue is p much just how like. it feels like they shoved 3-4 mini arcs worth of stuff into one speedrun when all of them deserved more focus and exploration and the pacing rly got rough at times. it wasnt like inazuma level bad but it does get me wondering if hoyos just bad at doing these big conclusions to prior build up and holding the story threads tightly together until the end.

this comes off as super negative helpp but like. by no means did i hate all of it so dont take it the wrong way lmao. its more that there was good stuff there but also wasted potential. for the most part i was having a blast but to be fair that was 40% just playing blade ridiculously underleveled through it all. i only got him to lvl 80 for the boss fight

Mikaelsons Black History Month

First off, I’m starting by saying that even though it is no longer Black history month it will always be melanin everyday and black people every day. And everything else under the sun, and if you don’t like it then the exit is to your left. Everything you own in the box to the left

Being part of the Mikaelsons is very fickle business and be some bs. Like really, you’re here with supernatural beings who are over 1000 years old. Who have traveled the world, gained endless knowledge, seen a lot of bloodshed, but you know what they haven’t seen? Their token human (black ofc) being ignant for black history month, I mean who even fully celebrates? How does one even celebrate?

Granted, they’re not racist. But with the writing Julie Pleck did she was playing honestly. That was the worst writing I've ever seen since who knows when. Maybe the nine lives of Chloe king or something? But in my originals universe they were probably racist in the beginning to an extent then grew out of it.

Anyways, they never met someone who celebrated until they met you!

Now…. picture this: A moderately quiet day in the Mikaelson household. im still working on the pattern for the existentialism sweater but im at a point where i need to make a choice about the front of this thing. bc the front panels are just rectangles and i plan on having the extinct animals presented like this but better:

i can either do each square as its own granny square or i can make them one big piece and im not sure which one id prefer. im also struggling a lot with how i want to do colors for the whole thing.

a more somber reddish brown and black and green color scheme that references these types of prints

would be fitting given the subject matter of nature, rot, and lonlieness. i could use my own handspun wool and natural dyes for it to make it very earthy. and that would also make it a bit longer wearing but A Lot more expensive and time consuming than the next option.

the dark purple with neon accents would be more wearable for me, someone who only wears purple and neons. it might also play up the sorta surealness of a the whole thing. "hey heres your dailey dose of depression but its all neon"

(Per the Lost Boys post bc this got too long) I'm sure there's a certain amount of confirmation bias when saying that a lot of movies Dean references are queer and I'm also curious about how it actually breaks down. But Dean makes so many pop culture references that I don't have the energy to try and do that during my rewatch lol. However I think also there are movies that he references that aren't not-straight (for lack of a better term) but the way they are referenced feels decidedly not-straight. Like your post about Porky's II is a great example of that! Another that comes to mind is him talking about Black Swan which was insane! The same episode with the cursed ballet slippers! The movie is about ego vs id and hidden desires! Dark vs light! Innocence vs ambition! "Purity" vs sexuality! Claiming he watched it for the actress was just ?? especially when coupled with the flipping ballet slippers. (Also it's super not a "chick flick" and it's not a macho movie either but like... the director also did Requiem for a Dream and Mother. Arronofsky is also.... yeah.) I still cannot get over the Black Swan reference given the themes of the movie/Swan Lake and at that point in the show I think the queercoding of Dean has become much more intentional by some of the writers. I have so many Thoughts about that episode.

I have so many questions about which other movies they watched together. Black Swan isn't exactly "art house" but it's also not Terminator or Star Wars. The fact that he has canonically watched movies ranging from high brow-ish psychological horror to popcorn flicks just makes him feel so Real which feeds even more into the idea that the character contains multitudes and isn't just a super macho one dimensional character which then reinforces the queercoding and characterization of him as a repressed/closeted bisexual man. Which is a completely different massive essay that other people have written better but I'm late to the party here and just rambling at this point.

This is honestly just copied and pasted from a yt comment I made on an older vid and I figured I'd share it here bc tumblr loves this shit I guess lol. God damn I've been questioning my gender for so long and ik rn im prob not still in the best position to be thinking about deep life shit like where I am mentally and im dealing with a lot in my life and also very insecure about potentially being trans bc a lot of my friends don't seem like they would be very accepting and my bf is only really into girls. I asked him how he would feel if I was nonbinary or looked like a boy and he just said he wasn't totally sure but he's only attracted to girls :c he's the sweetest bf in existence and im honestly so afraid of losing him, so aside from obviously not wanting to deal with all the other trans shit, I definitely hope im not trans bc I don't wanna lose him. Anyways, ill start with my childhood I guess. I was always super tomboyish. My older sisters (im the youngest sibling btw) were always p tomboyish so maybe I kinda got it from them but I kinda felt like I was more tomboyish than them? I felt like I was the most boyish girl I knew, like even meeting other tomboy girls in elementary school I felt like I couldn't really relate to them or like they couldnt relate to me enough idk. I also remember once making up a song about being like so tomboyish that I was basically a boy or something along those lines and sang it to my best friend at the time who I copied like all the fkin time (it honestly wasnt healthy lmao I didn't have good parents, also I think I started making up songs bc she did that and I wanted to like impress her), but she thought it was stupid and weird so I just forgot about it and moved on. I was embarrassed to even enjoy playing with dolls or play dress up games online and was determined to play masculine games like runescape (even tho I ended up doing girly shit in runescape anyways lmao) and considered myself one of the guys. In 5th grade when I started needing to wear a bra I absolutely didn't want to, tho some girls in my class thought it was weird I didn't wear a bra when they found out and that made me more insecure about it, but since then I've p much only worn sports bras. I have bought some more normal bras bc I wanted to look attractive in them for my SO or whatever but I still highly prefer my sports bras and can't stand wearing the other ones unless I have to bc my sports bras aren't clean lmfao. I always hated talking about genitalia and breasts n shit but that could just be bc of how I was raised and how my family was always so strict and such radical Christians and anything sex related was a sin, idk if its dysphoria or not. I've never rlly liked my chest and hated showing cleavage like so god damn much and still do but maybe that's the same thing or maybe I just want smaller boobs and that's it idk??? I once had a dream that i was, well, a male dog like,,, ya know, with a female dog, and not to sound weird af (hey we were both dogs ok) but I think i kinda enjoyed it? I don't really remember any other dreams where I remember actually having a dick or feeling it but I've had several dreams as a male person, but p much all of them were like, I was seeing through a character's eyes or smth, not really that I was a guy, so idk if that's normal. I have the same dreams about being other girl characters, I'd say its split about 50/50. Because of this game community im in, a lot of ppl assume im a guy, and a lot of people still think im a guy and I haven't really bothered to correct them but idk if I find it more enjoyable bc its funny or if I enjoy not being referred to as female for once. I'll admit I feel most comfortable referred to as they/them, like without a doubt, if I could go by only 1 set of pronouns for the rest of my life it would be they/them. But ik that's not enough to call myself trans. I definitely wouldn't want to be 100% male. Like if I imagine myself as a grown man vs a grown woman id prob choose to be a woman. I don't like my voice but I think that's mostly just bc I sound 10 years younger than I actually am, and wouldn't really want a deep/masculine voice. Like a "tomboy" voice would be fine if that makes sense? I don't want facial hair or want to have a masculine body, I like that I have curves and soft skin and small hands. Personally I like my hair long bc its soft and people love it, but sometimes I kinda wish I had short hair and could pass as a boy. Like I'd wanna be a typical cute kpop boy ngl lmfao. I like the whole cute androgynous/feminine boy look and wish I could pull it off. Tho I also like really girly things sometimes and am okay being seen as a girl, i just want to be cute and attractive. Ik whether im trans or not I like being a mix of feminine and masculine, tho I admit in the past I've been kinda insecure bc I used to be super sure I was nb and thought me liking girly things and wanting to still havd long hair and wear girly clothes made me seem like "not trans enough" or whatever. But i guess here I am questioning myself again anyways. If I am nb, it sucks that ill never really be able to be openly myself and all but I've accepted by now that I kinda have to pick a binary and choose what I want to be seen as for the rest of my life, and im ok with being female. There are some things I dont like about my body whether they're really gender related or not but I can't afford to transition and wouldn't like most of the effects of T and am afraid of surgery and not sure I want top surgery enough to ever get it anyways, but I think if we lived in a perfect world and I could magically change my body at will and I wasnt afraid of judgment or being unattractive or whatever, I'd probably want to look androgynous and itd be cool to be able to change my genitalia at will lmao. If I had to choose 1 genitalia over the over I honestly have no idea what I'd choose but I have no desire to ever get bottom surgery, at the same time tho I honestly wanna someday get surgery or w/e to never be able to get pregnant. I just could not handle pregnancy or giving birth and I don't even like babies and breast feeding sounds awful so if I ever have kids they will be adopted 100% and most likely be older and like not newborn babies lmfao, babies are honestly so weird to me and they stink and cry and they're so fragile and im so afraid of like dropping them when I hold them lmao. But I like my nieces and nephews and I like being the cool aunt (is there a gender neutral version of aunt/uncle?) who lets them use my art supplies and helps them do fun stuff even if I get tired of them sometimes lol. Idk if that's gender related either but yeah I guess. This if kind of a more recent thing but I often say I'd make a great bf kinda as a joke bc of how I am in relationships like being the stereotypical sweet bf type who makes things for their partner a lot and wants to be their knight in shining armor and their protector and all that, but again prob not rlly trans related lmao just thought I'd throw that out there I guess. So when I was 17 was when I really started getting into trans stuff, prior to that I mostly just learned from my parents that trans ppl were "against god" and all that bs, and eventually started realizing lgbt+ isn't as bad as my family said and later realized I was bi. But anyways I met an agender person online when i was 17ish and I'd never heard it before and thought it was really interesting and asked them how you know you're agender bc after hearing their explanation of it i thought it described how I felt, but ofc they weren't transmed and just described it as being like a deep feeling or whatever and since then i started calling myself agender (and switched between a few labels but basically nonbinary) until my transmed friend told me I was ridiculous and that I wasn't trans, and honestly he was a huge dick but im a huge pushover lmao and I thought well he's trans so he must know what he's talking about, and though I felt discouraged about it I stopped calling myself nonbinary. Then I began questioning it again after not too long and basically since then I've been questioning my gender off and on. I'm now 22 and god I fucking hope im cis but also I feel like a part of me doesn't want to be cis if that makes sense?? Idk if that's because I don't like being a girl for some weird deep reason I don't know about despite being pretty sure I've gotten a lot of my feelings and their reasons behind them figured out, or if it's because I am trans and dont want to force myself to pretend im a girl 100% forever. At the very least, whatever the fuck my gender is, I want to continue going by they\them wherever I can and pretending to be a boy to strangers online and I'd love to cosplay male characters and bind and occasionally just dress masculine for the hell of it and probably wear sports bras for the rest of my life. I feel like in a way I cang possibly be trans because I can live with all of those things and be fairly comfortable still being seen as female for the rest of my life. But idk, I have bpd and other mental shit so sometimes im not great with my feelings (tho I do try really hard to identify all of my feelings/emotions and stuff) but at the same time bpd can cause weird identity shit so maybe its just a weird mix of a bunch of crap and im not actually trans but just weird and tomboyish enough to question my gender for 5 years and still be unsure. First of all, it’s already an established fact that Taeyong is very goodlooking. Like… here if you don’t agree although i don’t know why you wouldnt agree with me

it’s not debatable ok (id also like to take this time to point out that he’s a king of working all hair colors) BUT ANYWAYS, THERE’S SO SO SO MUCH MORE TO HIM THAN JUST HIS FACE 

1. he’s absolutely talented 

he participated, alongside mark, in writing the lyrics of many songs in nct’s albums you can refer to this from his wikipedia page

my personal favorite song from him in which he wrote the lyrics for is piece of mind, if you haven’t listened to it yet i really recommend it because the lyrics are so raw and straight from his heart; i feel it just shows how thoughtful he is and how passionate he is about what he does. also its a song he said that helped when he was down 

beside from that, he’s also a dancing god? alright not to be extra but i get goosebumps whenever i see him dance because he puts his whole soul into it. taeyong is someone made for the stage: he shines there, he belongs there… each move is so sharp, and so carefully executed. he can put so much power into every step and every movement but at the same time he’s so graceful that it takes your breath away. idk how to explain it tbh just watch this 

2. now onto his personality, he’s now 22 yrs old but don’t let that fool you… he could honestly be a part of nct dream bc he’s such a kid

despite his super fierce stage persona, taeyong loves to play around and he’s so silly. if you’ve watched any of the nct life seasons you know what i mean! he’s so energetic all the time and always ready to joke around with the boys. he dances out of the blue a lot, and he hates the dentist although he enjoys sweets esp chocolate and likes studio ghibli movies. he plays overwatch too hah. he rlly rlly likes the minions lol refer to nct life in osaka ep 9 he was legit having the time of his life dancing with them even singing the lil tune and hugging them ahaha

OK BUT TAEYONG DOES THIS THING WHERE HE PUTS HIS ARM UP IN THE AIR ITS SO ADORABLE 

3. super super affectionate with his members and also fans

if anyone loves nct more than nctzens its taeyong ok. (refer to this) he’s the softest around his members like he’s always thinking of his members, even over himself. like he kisses mark on live tv, he makes sure the members are all seated before him and gives up his seat too, he is the official mother of the nct dream members, and he always compliments the boys its great. he loves to shower everyone with love i mean tae buys winwin icecream whenever he wants for gods sake

taeyong absolutely adores his fans, his eyes legit shine at fansigns. he never forgets his fans, he always thinks about fans from all over the world and never leaves them out :’((( he’s so so considerate he said nct decided to stop accept gifts from fans because us listening to their music and supporting them and loving them was enough. when asked whats different about nct fans he said: “they are different, they are the best. its a gathering of angels. they are really nice, also beautiful, have a warm heart, and passionate” are you cryin g bc i am? 

4. totally random but he’s very clean 

the boys talk about this a lot, he keeps his dorm clean and organized. if there’s a mess he’ll clean it up right away and he washes his hands a lot apparently. he even has a nickname taebreeze because he likes febreeze and will spray it around lol. OH and also he’s great at cooking he does a lot of the cooking in nct life (tbh taeyong is the full package tho?? talented, affectionate, kindhearted, clean, and a great cook)

I could go on and on, but this post is such a mess and its getting a bit lengthy already. hopefully this gives you an idea about our beautiful angel Taeyong!!

Yo! I was thinking of something similar to your idea about knocking a song off each album. If you could make one song the title track that's not the title track on each album, which songs would you choose? And if you wouldn't change the title track defend why

okay lets go !! this is fun !!!! also get ready for a monstrously long essay. im going to do them out of order probably sdkjfsdf so this wont be organized But. well first off, on 1of1 i would pick u need me and Maybe this is bc im biased towards it bc its my favorite song but listen… i feel like they could have continued the 90s aesthetic w the song as well. it would have been a Different 90s aesthetic rather than the cheerful bright one they were going for But that song to me feels like playing a cyberpunk-y arcade game  and that is Very 90s so. i would have loved to see them 90s video game aesthetics in music video form i think it would have been interesting. 

i would definitely leave dream girl as the title track for misconceptions of you. not necessarily bc its my favorite song off the album in this case, bc its not, but bc i think thematically it works best. especially bc my Ideal title track from misconceptions of you would have been nightmare. so going from dream girl -> nightmare works Perfectly in a thematic sense and it definitely ties those two albums together even wore. especially bc moy’s sound was more upbeat/had a Brighter aesthetic, while misconceptions of me was darker Both in the aesthetic/packaging of the album and in the songs themselves. which makes sense bc its going from a happy dream to a nightmare. this is really my favorite concept and im going to be on my deathbed wishing nightmare was the title track bc i love this idea so much its so Perfect.

for odd i find it really difficult to say. the other day i was talking about shinee albums w someone (and we were comparing 1of1 to odd) and they said that 1of1 was definitely a more cohesive album w better flow, however it could have been intentional that odd didnt rly have a cohesive Vibe bc it was called well… odd. like an odd jumble of songs together. i think thats rly brilliant btw and true so!! see initially i would say ‘well keep view’ bc i got this whole dreamy summer roadtrip vibe from the teasers/pictures and all that But if you were to pick a different song then the teasers/pictures would reflect that. its harder to tackle bc theres not a Theme like there is 1of1 or the misconceptions albums. and i like the whole dreamy roadtrip aesthetic where everything seems floaty and is if youre seeing it through a filter. i really enjoy that. but i think odd eye would have made for a very interesting mv and an entirely different concept all together Which is cool,, i also think it does work in that it references something not matching and being Odd™ just like the songs on the album itself which is a good summary of the “theme” of that album, if there would be any. i think view is probably a better title track in terms of marketability and all that But thats besides the point. so yeah after reflection,,  i do think i would pick odd eye

for mttm theres zero question i would keep mttm as the title track its literally their best mv and its So unique and stand out. its an amazing concept that is just on an entirely different level. also i loved the rocky horror teasers stuff that was great !! and again the mv itself is the most unique one that shinee has done Ever so changing the title track is not a good idea here

now that we get 2 sherlock i start to find this difficult bc i just cant imagine any other song being the title track. this is the same for lucifer. both those songs are so Iconique and one of the most well known songs shinee has ever put out. they are legitimately iconic. i mean lucifer is straight up shinees most well known and universally adored song tbh. they are such mainstays in shinees overall Image that a timeline where theyre not the title tracks seem so different. this goes for ring ding dong as well there is No way i would ever change the title track to be anything but rdd ring ding dong has birthed us so many memes for like 8 fuckign years straight. and Also for replay (although thats a debut not a title track so),,, its their debut song i cannot change that Dude its such a defining moment for them and they perform it to this day. these are less “objective” answers probably but nonetheless my answers.

for everybody,, while my favorite song is destination as everyone should Know at this point i would pick queen of new york. like in fact No i would not chose symptoms to be title track although thats the most well liked from that album. i dont have a super strong for reason except for the fact that i think queen of new york would make for an interesting mv. for some reason i always imagine some of kind of retro futuristic vibe from that song. actually the very specific aesthetic i imagine is the one in this picture or this one. i dont rly know Why but i think of something really colorful and maybe slightly surreal looking but not in a dramatic way,, i think this aesthetic is interesting for a mv. and ok who am i fooling of course id also say destination. destination could have Amazing choreo and itd be so fun  i imagine a very fast paced mv where they go around zooming through like 20 dimensions and fight ppl or something. it could work in their military uniforms which queen of new york couldnt rly skjfskfd.
