Beauty placements in Astrology🌸💄 Part 1
(I am mostly talking about physical beauty in face and body but attractive/seductive placement are completely different topic) These are just the basic common ones.
🌠Neptune, Venus or Moon aspecting ascendant or in the first house. -
Neptune =Their aura is intresting and different. They can be like mirrors to other people and are idolized easily. People with this placement can be invisible if they want to but suddenly have everyone staring at them. They can be bit cartoonish. This can be difficult placement but it can give so much creativity and miracles to a person.
Looks: Can have looks that people deem as iconic. You can see their faces at peoples houses , public places and in paintings and in clothes. Unique but classic at the same time. They look dazzling in photos.
Archetype: Siren that lures you with gentle lullaby and turns into a monster. No one can resist the urge that they bring up.
Celebrity examples-->

Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are magical, mysterious and etherial.
🎇 Venus= They are just gorgeous and have such a balanced body and face. People enjoy their company and they can become popular easily. Good placement in every aspect but vanity can occur so it's good to have something where to use that visual/artistic gift even as just a hobby.
Looks: They are very aesthetic and are often used as wallpapers for that reason.
Archetype: Aphrodite who bring pleasure and beauty that you can't get enough of. The senses are overwhelmed and lured you in.

[ID: old comic book of a red haired guy with freckles standing on a bike with his arms crossed saying "just a matter of skill that's all" near him is a young blonde girl in a white shirt and red skirt, across the street is a dog looking towards them. the word Archie is in big bold red letters on top END ID]
Today's Public Domain Character: Archie Andrews
Archie and the rest of the gang are public domain as the copyright for early Pep Comics which they made their debut in was not renewed and therefore wouldve had their copyright lapsed around 1970.
Now the more iconic look of the characters are under copyright but the basics of those characters are still public domain, the premise of archie vying for the attention of both betty cooper and veronica lodge is still there.
Jughead, Reggie, Katy Keene, the gang's all here for the most part and they didnt really change much personality wise with the redesigns that came way later on.
Characters such as Sabrina or Cheryl Blossom that were introduced way later are not in the public domain.
Sidenote: People who claim public domain produces nothing but horror versions of beloved characters, i mean...Archie Comics been doing horror versions of Archie characters for a long time, thats like half their lineup.
Plus Riverdale is...certainly a thing...

i don't know if this is a hot take or not but like season 5 was like the worst but best season at the same time:
-we got to see a lot of character development from cooper
-franklin also made more of an appearance so thats nice
-a TON of cooliver moments
-cooper dad reveal
BUT ALSO
-anna kat recast :( (do NOT get me wrong the new actor is such a great actor, just not fit enough for anna kat)
-different second breakfast people (i feel like its doris and angela , but swapped in a way i don't know how to describe it, and also doris and angela were so iconic so having angela leave in this season and doris's appearances less present was kinda sad)
-left us at the BIGGEST cliffhanger (katie having another kid when she didn't want more kids, taylor+trip and anna kat+franklin engagement, and oliver going back on his lifelong plan of going to harvard)
there's probably more that i'm forgetting to add to this list but im STILL UPSET ABOUT THIS EVEN THO ITS BEEN TWO YEARS

Hey, I'm working on my Cooliver fic. Do you have a list of episodes that are best to rewatch to get their personalities and dynamics?
okay first of all i’m honored that you thought to ask me. second of all, i’m sorry i took forever to reply but i realized i didn’t have a list so i put one together lol
the otto motto (s1 e18) is the first time the idea of oliver being gay is mentioned
the walk (s1 e 20) is sooo important for cooper. first time we see his real personality instead of just his cool kid facade. also iirc this is the first appearance of “move on to your next point”
boo-who? (s2 e5) is pretty good for early oliver. it’s got his sass, some insecurities, a touch of scheming and ofc his iconic scream. cooper’s not in it tho.
blondetourage (s2 e11) is so iconic for them. the sneakers, the phone scheme. “i’m already riding bitch on your vespa.”
all coupled up (s2 e17) is their first big fight, so if you’re writing a fight/argument this is a good one. also some good cooper & katie moments.
it’s hard to say goodbye (s2 e19) is another one without cooper, but if you’re writing sad oliver this is such a good reference; he’s really well written and acted in this episode. the cgi tears take me out tho 😭
here we go again (s3 e2) has them work through conflicts and like resolve a fight without intervention from katie/greg. i love them <3. absolutely banger episode for each of them individually, and them as a duo.
enemies: an otto story (s3 e4) has a good oliver scheme, and he gets cooper in on it. cooper talking about tagging along to boarding school with him makes me feel things.
trust me (s3 e5) is the absolutely iconic scooby-doo halloween costumes/making out practice episode that every cooliver writer has written about. i think it’s the first time cooper is seriously brought into the whole “oliver might be gay” bit, but i might be wrong about that (i know cooper’s mentioned the first time it’s ever brought up, but i think this is the first time he really seems like a piece of the puzzle)
body image (s3 e6) again, no cooper, but very good for insecure oliver
mo’ money, mo’ problems (s3 e13) is also so iconic in my brain. idk how genuinely important it is to either of their development, but it means a lot to me. i can’t remember who it was, but someone on here posted a really good analysis of cooper in this episode and how he’s lying to try to get oliver to not go to the party, which could be useful depending what you’re writing. also this is the first time cooper calls katie and greg mom and dad :(
insta-friends (s3 e16) is another big fight for them, and also some serious cooper daddy/mommy issues. this one isn’t super helpful for individual oliver, but it’s great for individual cooper and their dynamic when they’re mad at each other
field trippin’ (s3 e20) is a much sillier, fluffier episode than a lot of what i have on this list. silly lil scheme gone wrong. cooper’s really only in the first like half of this one tho
a mom’s parade (s3 e22) ok so hot take i don’t really like this episode that much… you can do you is very queer coded tho so it’s going on the list lol
girls’ night out (s4 e6) is just so awesome. oliver’s really sweet towards the end, and it’s bcuz of cooper. cooliver/triplor double date mention!!! tiny touch of cooper angst. greg implying that cooper holds a similar role in the family to trip. just all of it is so perfectly cooliver. this is one of their best episodes imo
hip to be square (s4 e9) is the i love you episode!!!!!!!!!!!! them fighting and then saying they love each other!!!!!!!!!!! so interesting for their dynamic!!!
a very english scandal (s4 e14) is the one where the whole school thinks oliver is gay. the one time cooper denies being oliver’s boyfriend. overall very gay episode.
all is fair in love and war reenactment (s4 e17) is a good one for them supporting each other, but not enabling each other’s shitty behavior. really good for their dynamic, and cooper’s got some good layers in this episode
senior prank (s4 e18) ohhhhh they’re such big brothers in this one i love it so much. if you wanna write them as parents this might be a decent reference. also, not cooliver related but franklin is just so iconic in this.
vacation! (s4 e19) i’ve said it before and ill say it again: this episode feels more like a cooliver fic than an actual episode. so good for both of them as individuals, their dynamic as a couple, and how cooper fits into the otto family as a whole.
prom (s4 e20) is another one that i think is good for oliver as an individual and their relationship as a pair. also big brother cooper crumbs!! (they’re very small but they’re there and they’re important to me 😌)
graduation (s5 e1) is ofc so good if you’re writing some angst. seeing how they deal with issues involving them that seem out of their control. also more cooper fitting into the family as a whole <3
psych (s5 e2) is really good for later-seasons oliver and his need for validation. also supportive bf cooper :)
coupling (s5 e3) is the episode i show ppl if i want to get them into the show bcuz it gives such a good overview of all of the characters and their relationships with each other. more cooliver fighting if you need references for that. the couple coding in this episode is so intense.
kids these days (s5 e5) is sooooo good for their dynamic bcuz it really shows how they support each other without enabling each other. i love cooper so much in this episode. “our family” <3
mother’s little helper (s5 e6) is pretty good. shows off that no matter how much they’ve grown, they’re still just dumb teenage boys.
encourage, discourage (s5 e8) is soooo good for cooper fitting into the family as a whole.
the heist (s5 e9) chef cooper origin!!!!! oliver being a supportive bf!!! i love them!!!
getting frank with the ottos (s5 e10) is a big turning point in their relationship. once again, supportive bf oliver!! they’re so cute.
the election (s5 e13) i feel like their dynamic is a little bit weird in this episode (oliver’s like weirdly chill abt once again being confronted w the idea of cooper moving, but ig it’s bcuz he has his own stuff going on) but it’s so good for sad cooper/daddy issues cooper. this is definitely a huge one for cooper angst references
okok so this is a really big list. obvs i don’t know what the plot of your fic is or when it’s set, so some of these might be much more helpful than others depending what you’re writing. these are just my suggestions of the ones that stand out as important for them as individuals and as a duo. hope this is helpful!!!! i’m excited to read your fic if/when you post it :)

Summary:
When Jen keeps going back and forth between the past and the future, Wes is met with elation, belief that things could always get better, and then the reality of a depression so strong and fierce that sometimes he can't even get out of bed in the morning.
(Eric quietly hates Jen for this. She's a good woman and Wes deserves someone like her; but their relationship is always on borrowed time.) When Taylor keeps making flirtations with Eric on her visits with the Silver Guardians by way of the Air Force, making offers to go out for drinks or dinner that Eric can't find a reason to ever say no to; he does enjoy and don't regret it the way most people regret things come morning with the walk of shame that is always him doing the walk away. (Wes is happy for Eric. He's always happy for any little bit of happiness that Eric lets into his life and can smile about for a good week afterwards.) When the world is in danger and they have to take up being the only two Rangers amongst good men and women that don't quite carry the same burden...it's different. They feel much more with each other than they ever do with anyone else--including Jen and Taylor.

O Combóio Apitou Três Vezes
EUA, 1952
Fred Zinnemann
8/10
Duel at Noon
High Noon is one of the most iconic westerns in North American cinema. To a large extent because it combines the classic elements of the Western with the psychological thriller, which was beginning to gain expression in the 1950s, after film noir had reigned in the previous decade.
It is a tense film, from beginning to end, where the spectator, as well as Marshall Kane and the other residents of the city, anxiously wait for a fatal outcome, while waiting for the midday train to arrive, and see Kane's expectations dashed, in gathering support to face the fearsome and vengeful Miller's band, who awaits him, also impatiently, at the station.
Everyone runs away or hides, except Kane and also, at the last moment, his young wife Amy, who ends up playing an essential role, in the final outcome of the duel.
A stellar cast stands out, starting with Gary Cooper (already in his fifties, but imposing in the lead role), Grace Kelly, Lloyd Bridges, the beautiful Mexican star Katy Jurado, even the future spaghetti western star, Lee Van Cleef.
A simple story, even elementary, but from which a cinematic myth was built.
In the future, Sergio Leone's heroes, like Clint Eastwood or Van Cleef himself, would have no difficulty getting rid of four fugitives, no matter how good gunmen they were. The myth was already installed. Clint Eastwood is not Will Kane, who has to face real villains and suffer the consequences of his bravery. He is a true superhero, who, with cunning and infallible aim, takes on dozens of opponents, without suffering a scratch.
In High Noon the fear is real, the tension tremendous, danger lurks around every corner and every bullet takes death with it.
It's the clay that made the western heroes. Others would use them to build the myth.

independent & selective rebekah mikaelson from the cw's tvd universe. primarily focused around the originals + legacies. est. 2019. re 2024. loved by katy. (she/her. 30+/est.) those under 18? dni. medium to low activity
i'm just getting back into tumblr rp after being on a different platform. so please bear with me while i re-understand how to use this site & figure everything out!
rules under the cut!
01. i am selective, which means i prefer interacting with mutuals only. while i do not follow for follow, there's a high probability that i will follow back. the only reason i wouldn't follow back, is if i can't see our muses interacting or you're an oc and i can't find your about/rules page.
02. given the themes of tvd (and the supernatural genre as a whole), darker tones will be presented throughout this blog. please follow at your own leisure. this said, i will not be tagging blood, gore, language or violence. if these themes trigger you, please keep yourself safe and don't follow. i will do my best to tag the more important things though.
03. i am a turtle at replying. either you get a response in 24 hours or it takes me 3-6 business days or once every year. there's no helping it. sometimes the muse doesn't want to cooperate and i listen. i also do not have a particular order of how i respond. i am notorious for drafting literally everything. chances are, it's sitting there waiting for muse to strike. i promise, i'm not ignoring you.
04. i accept any length. i am a firm believer in quality over quantity. give me what you feel like writing. as long as you give me something to work with? i'm fine with it. i do prefer lengthier things (multi para, i very rarely do novella but i can). but i will accept para responses.
05. i am oc, duplicate and multimuse friendly. if you're an oc? please have an about somewhere i can easily find. if you're a multi? please try to specify muse. i know it can be difficult, but i'm an indecisive bitch, so i would appreciate it if you could help me out!
06. i ship chemistry and i am multiship. i don't often go out of my way to seek romance in threads. if it happens, it happens. i tend to focus more on the character development and the storyline. but if you're interested in shipping? please feel free to reach out. i would also prefer if we've interacted prior to asking.
07. i use small text and icons. i will occasionally bold and italicize words to emphasize what my muse is saying. you do not have to match my writing style. if you need me to fix my formatting to make it easier to read? please let me know in advance.
08. callout culture or drama is not welcome here. same goes for anon hate. i'm in my 30's, i've been rpin' for over a decade and i've seen it all. if it's something of utmost importants? such as warning the community of someone dangerous? and receipts are included? i will reblog. but i will not partake in petty he said/she said drama. please keep me out of it. there's too much negativity in the world already and i want this to be a nice, positive space for myself and my mutuals. if you have a problem with me? either unfollow me if you can't be civil? or come approach me and we can work it out.

Song Suggestions Wanted
My 16yr old (they/he) is currently in a youth residential treatment program after a psycotic break, planning to kill himself, and a stay in a psych ward. While they still can't have their phone they are now able to have a mp3 player. I'm putting together some playlists to put on the one I bought that's being delivered later today.
They asked for music I'm into as well as stuff I know they like but going through my & their liked songs a lot of it is too angst ridden and/or depressing. (It's almost like depression runs in the family.)
So I ask ~ what songs have helped you get through hard times? He's got an eclectic music taste so any genre is welcome.

I watched High Noon (1952)
At some point in my childhood I watched High Noon, but my memories of the film are long gone. My only memories of it are really hearing other people discuss it, so I sat down with my father to watch it.
On the day of his wedding, A town Marshal learns that, not only is a criminal from his past returning to gun him down, but the town he once saved isn't willing to stand by his side.
Fred Zinnemann, director of From Here To Eternity, directs this classic western written by Carl Foreman. Getting a little behind the scenes info, you find out that the film would eventually be protested against by groups like the KKK and anti-communist groups because of the connections foreman made between his story and the era of McCarthy witch-hunts. The film actually has quite a fascinating history in this way, which I hope to dig into more. But, for now I'm here to discuss the film as just a film and not a political statement.
High Noon takes place in real time. When the clock starts ticking, we have about an hour and a half before the noon train will arrive in town, and bring with it the deadly outlaw come to kill our hero.
Unlike many westerns of the time, we don't see a confident sheriff prepared for whatever comes his way. We see a man doing what's right, despite the fact that he's terrified. As our hero character travels the small town during what's left of his morning, desperately seeking help, we begin to learn the backstory of many of the townsfolk. We learn of their relationships, their histories and their flaws. We see some who are too afraid to help and others who are too jealous and hard headed. Some who preferred the town before the Marshal made the streets safe and others looking to place profit before honor.
This is something else which makes High Noon different from most other westerns. We are getting characters, no matter how big or small, with real depth to their choices and actions. The outlaw villains are a simple threat on the outskirts of town. The true villains are the townspeople who are unwilling to do the right thing. Willing to leave a man to die or demanding he run away and take the threat with him.
High Noon is a a black and white film in every sense of the term. It leaves out any room to think romantic of the old west. The skies are an empty grey mass and from there the colors are darker shades of grey until Gary Cooper's deep black vest seems to jump off the screen.
The acting is excellent all around, with Cooper's facial expressions spelling out each emotion in each moment.
The script, so well written, is filled with moments that allow us to read into the thoughts of the characters. And it's ticking clock plotline leaves one hoping that at least one person will stand with the Marshal, all the way up to the final showdown in the streets. If you're looking to learn pacing, this film is where to start.
There is no doubt that High Noon is one of the greatest westerns to ever be made. It bucks tradition and tells its own story in its own way. It makes us question our own courage and our own ability to face up to what's coming.
Several characters here are iconic and Katy Jurado's character of Helen Ramirez could carry a whole film of her own.
When discussing the greats of all time, this should be on the list. From beginning to end it captivates and surprises the audience with an intelligent and tense bit of filmmaking and storytelling.
If you haven't seen it, it's a classic that can't be missed.
