Rating all Daisy ships I stanned at some point:

Skyward - 4/10

The year before I knew the truth was some of the best times I had as a fangirl. Shipped them while I was watching the show on TV. I was obsessed with them. But I missed the final few episodes. Oops. What could go wrong. So one time I googled the show to see if they got together, and that's how I found out Ward was Hydra. Looking back at it, it was an incredible reveal. Still, it broke my 14 year old heart. The pain of finding out the truth almost made me never wanna watch it again. (for 5 min) I'll admit I was hooked on the Framework storyline too.

But wanna know why I started watching it again? Luke Mitchell. I was uninterested that "Skye" had another dude, but when I checked the character out, he was played by WILL from H20? It was the greatest thing I ever found out. I'll never forget you Lincoln. I almost passed out when he died. He loved her so much. In later seasons when everyone was paired off but Daisy had no one, I kept thinking of him. He was one of the only characters who selflessly always put her first. He deserved better. And I gotta go higher than 10 cause he literally died for her.

Quakerider - 9/10

I was stuck on this ship for 4 years, and I was working off of maybe 8 episodes of content. I was obsessed, with all capital letters. I should have tattooed it on my forehead. And they left me hanging. They had so much chemistry, it was insane. This man was looking at her like she was his lifeline. But they pulled Gabriel Luna away from the show for the unreleased spinoff and, we never saw Robbie again. RIP to the most iconic romance I never got to experience.

Dousy - 100/10

Whoever decided to pull this man from the past to get him together with our girl, deserves an Emmy. There is nothing like a proper-looking, nerdy man who's down for every criminal offense you want to pull. But also they had a great flirt-to-roast ratio.

Just that pure devotion was fire. Also when you realize they are actually what the other always wanted in a partner? Daisy goes from Miles, Ward to Lincoln looking for stability and solid partnership, and manages to find it super unconventionally. I'll never stop yapping about them. No second of their screen time was wasted, which is why I think this worked so well.

imagine John Tate as the Shape

Josh Hartnett played Laurie Strode's son, John Tate, in Halloween H20 (1998). So, hear me out. Halloween - H20 timeline, ignoring anything after it, but drawing some inspiration.

Some years after Laurie kills him, Michael Myers becomes an icon and sex symbol. The carnage is commercialized by retailers, influencers, and tourist attractions.

Over the years, Laurie Strode struggles with substance abuse and paranoia, always looking over her shoulder, even after killing Michael. Unlike Karen in Halloween 2018, John never enforces boundaries or forms a family of his own. He yearns to have a life, but he spends most of his days taking care of Laurie and watching her decline.

When Laurie dies tragically, John snaps. It's almost Halloween, and the Michael Myers fanfare is too much. John goes to Haddonfield, the epicenter of it. John goes to a local Halloween store, wears a forced smile as he chats up the profiteering owner who confirms business is booming. He buys a mask. As he turns to leave, his smile evaporates, and his eyes darken.

Horror is Queer

Horror has always had queer creators behind and infront of it.

F.W. Murnau directed Nosferatu (1922)

James Whale directed Frankenstein (1931), The Bride of Frankenstein (1935), The Invisible Man (1933), The Old Dark House (1932).

Clive Barker is a well known horror writer, I know Stephen King isn't the only one shocking. He's also directed some of his own work, notably, Hellraiser (1987), Nightbreed (1990), and Lord of Illusions (1995).

Kevin Williamson is the creator of Dawson's Creek, as well as, the screenwriter of Scream (1996), I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), The Faculty (1998), and Sick (2022). He also did a treatment for and produced Halloween: H20 (1998).

Don Mancini is responsible for the Child's Play/Chucky franchise. He also wrote the screenplay for Dweller Celler (1998).

Eliva is a goth, camp, queen, ICON! She's a horror host, and lifestyle.

Christopher Landon wrote the screenplays for Disturbia (2007), Paranormal Activity 2, 3, 4, Next of Kin, and the Marked Ones which he also directed. He wrote and directed Scouts Guide to Zombie Apocalypse (2015), Happy Death Day (2017) and it's sequel (2019), Freaky (2020), oh and he's slated to direct Scream 7!

Bryan Fuller was the showrunner of NBC's Hannibal and is now working on the Friday the 13th prequel series, Crystal Lake.

Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstien.

Daphne Du Maurier wrote Rebecca and a short story that would become The Birds. Hitchcock was clearly a fan.

Joel Schumacher directed The Lost Boys. Meanwhile Tom Holland made Fright Night which might be the queerest vampire movie ever made... huh.

Gus Van Sant... well he directed the Psycho remake... so that happened...

Carter Smith directed Ruins (2008), Swallowed (2022), The Passenger (2023), and a few others. OH and Swallowed has Mark Patton from Nightmare On Elm Street II: Freddy's Revenge.

Okay so some of my favs:

Insidious (iconic), Insidious 3 (solidly scary, Elise is the protag yayyy)

The Fourth Kind (that movie truly messed me up on my first watch)

Smile (Can get kinda intense & graphic but still so good)

Pearl (Golden age technicolor inspired horror is...inspired.)

Cloverfield (if it counts, found footage)

Paranormal Activity 3 (it's the best in the series IMHO)

The Others (More of a drama but SO INSANE- the ending is...like otherworldly good)

Halloween H20 (hot take, unpopular opinion, H20 is the best Halloween film)

Best horror I've ever seen, though is not actually in film, it's on TV.

AHS: Asylum, Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, AHS: Roanoke are some examples of top fuckin tier horror.

@countlessrealities sent; Since his counterpart had had no qualms to show up in his headquarters, unannounced and unexpected, Rick had decided that he should return the favour. Besides, it was about time that his other self realised that he could break into his hideout just as easily. He couldn't have the motherfucker believe that he was ahead of him when it came to something so trivial.

Unlike his mirror image, he didn't come carrying him anything odd or confusing like that giant bird cage had been, but he hadn't come empty-handed. With him, he had a nice bottle of rhum, even if he would have denied choosing it with care. Why would have he? He was visiting the guy he hated, after all.

"I'd say that your place is cool, but I'd be fucking lying, so I won't bother," he claimed in a casual tone, as he stepped out of the portal he had opened, making a show of looking around. "Honestly? You need to add some character to it, I feel like I could die of boredom if I stayed here for too long. I can give you a few tips, if you..."

His voice trailed off as he realised that his counterpart hadn't even acknowledged his arrival. Instead, he was staring at whatever movie was playing on the hi-tech screen set in front of the couch. Rick could tell that the other wasn't truly seeing the images, though. He knew his own expression too well not to be able to tell.

Something was wrong. Dreadfully so.

Both the look in his eyes and his body language instantly sobered as he quietly made his way to where his mirror image was sitting. Without a word, he let himself fall on the couch and tore the bottle open, taking a swing from it before offering it to the other, his other arm wrapping around the edge of the cushions, close to his counterpart's shoulders, but without touching him.

He didn't speak, didn't try to offer a non-verbal hint. If his other self had decided to take advantage of his physical presence, in any way, he could have done it.

Nothing could really distract Rick from the mindlessness of watching a movie. It wasn't any movie. He put on a comfort one. Something that he watched almost any time he felt bad. Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. A film that he considered blasphemous to the entire franchise. Even if there were some that made him more puzzled than that one.

He had made himself cozy on the couch. So sunken in deep that he could barely be seen from the other side. Both of his feet were kicked up on the ottoman in front of him. His jacket wasn't on, wearing only his red long sleeved shirt and dark black jeans.

It was safe to say that he wasn't going anywhere at all today.

The sound of a portal opening could be vaguely heard, but the iconic Michael Myers theme song kept him more occupied on the screen. A shrill tune followed by the beating of drums. And just as the victim screamed from the killer's presence, that's when he felt the couch cushion beside him become occupied.

Side-eyeing his counterpart, he watched the other's actions carefully. He wasn't in the mood to put on one of his facades. That usual one where he pretended that his dislike for the other wasn't confusing. How he acted as if he couldn't stand the other. When, in reality, the guy's presence didn't bother him all that much.

Deep down, in his core, he didn't really trust him all that much. Though, he wanted to get to know him. To become something more than just preconceived enemies. Maybe a friend.

His eyes widened when the bottle was passed to him. Silence seeped in between them. Yet, something told him that his counterpart knew how to read a room. A lot better than he knew how. Or, perhaps, the other cared and was subconsciously showing it.

The implication of that caused his chest to tighten. So he took the bottle a bit too quickly. Desperate for a drink to numb it down.

Knocking his head back, he let the liquor warm his throat and his insides, burning away any feelings that dared to come up. Dripping down the side of his mouth, he placed the bottle in between his legs, wiping away at the excess from his chin.

"Alright, I'll bite, Mr. Silent Guy,"

Oh, he would take advantage of his closeness, but not in the way one would think. His body began to move, legs shifting from the ottoman over towards his counterpart's lap, laid across in a way that trapped the other there. Upper body twisted more towards the other, slotting perfectly into the other's side. His chin rested on that shoulder.

"Why the fuck are you here? Came to watch the worst movie in existence with me?" The words came out humorless. That usual cheery tone gone. Instead, replaced by a softened, harsh voice. One that didn't even sound angry. "Because, if you did, you forgot the popcorn."

Due to the dimmed lights of the living room, it was hard to see the expression in those bright blue eyes of his, but if looked at closely, one could see something sparkling within them. An emotion that displayed admiration, adoration, and a certain, deep kind of sadness. All mixed into one.

Though, that was the least of his worries. Right now, he had a distraction and he would jump on it; in the figurative sense. Literal, too, if that's what his counterpart wanted.
