Demo Update(?) 7/4/24

This probably deserves its own special post, but I've been meaning to post it all week and I keep forgetting! So behold, the original TLOTG demo up to chapter six, which was originally posted to Patreon and now serves as special little extra content.

Key things to note: this demo is obsolete because the Naturalist is not in it. This demo is also important because it still has the Seer's storyline, even though I'm adding things in as I go. I'm picking apart both their stories in my free time and it's going really well!

Also, I'm no longer posting on Ich.io, and will return to my roots on CSIDE because the language is easier for me to just shut up and write without fussing over code. I'm not publishing through CoG, but I am playing in their sandbox. TLOTG will be free when it's finished.

Anything else? I don't remember. My job is all-consuming at the moment and it's been hard for me to write more than a few sentences a night. My brain is mush. I just wanted to give you all something new because you all deserve it! Thank you for being patient and kind and supportive. I am always thinking about this game, and I'm excited to update soon.

anyway im almost done compiling all my pixel pride flags into a folder (had to redo all the upscaled versions because there was antialiasing)

Hello and welcome to the Devil's Minion minizine project! This is intended to be a trilogy of simple 8-pages, 1-sheet zines spread over 2025 focusing on (show) Armand and Daniel in matching outfits according to the seasons. The themes will go as follow:

February: Valentine's Day date

June: Pride fits

October: Halloween costumes

There will be 8 artists recruited for each zine, with a possibility of stacking up participations; the application form linked below will require a short summary of the idea you wish to use for the zine, so we can make sure we have a variety of outfits represented.

You will also have to submit a portfolio of your work, three to four pieces that best represent the style you would like to use for this project. The presence of IWTV fanarts is not required but strongly encouraged.

The final product will be a free zine available for download on ich.io on release day; the artists will be free to post their piece wherever they chose a week after.

Communication and coordination will happen through a Discord server, so make sure to have an account :)

Timeline for the Valentine's Day zine:

Friday 3rd of January: applications open

Friday 10th of January: applications close, invites sent out

Friday 31st of January: finished pieces submitted for page setting

Friday 7th of February: zine ready for publication, last corrections possible over the weekend after artists' feedback

Friday 14th of February: Valentine's Day 🌹 publication of the zine

Hey did you know I make games?

Specifically, you play a member of an organization who works to protect, preserve, and reclaim magic, monsters, and mystical artifacts as a part of living culture on behalf of the cultures they belong to by their terms.

You're there as a resource who can punch nazis, build museums, face a dangerous temple made from a manifestation of a spiritual sickness, and repatriate ancestor's remains. And you have cool magic powers that draw from your own connections to culture to do it.

To make a character, you answer open ended questions to give you tags, giving you narrative permission to do thing and mechanical advantage if it's relevant (much like another game of mine, Exceptionals https://bramblewolfgames.itch.io/exceptionals)

But in this game, I wanted to continue that spirit of narrative control. You define what your culture means and what your connection looks like, you choose your approach, you choose how exactly you pass or fail given your resources. I wanted to really flex as a designer. What is Zine City?

Short explanation: A creative space to make zines together!

Long explanation: It's a community, where we can all gather and share a number of personal artworks (recipes, drawings, photography, whatever really!) under a collective deadline for motivation! Then it all gets compiled as as a Zine of The Month, which will be posted either at the end or near the start of the next month!

How do I participate?

Join our discord to see what the theme of the month is, and submit your art there.

Awhile back i found this game on ich.io called "date with death" and it was fairly basic but it had an MSPaint feature so have all that i drew on there bc honestly that's all i remembered about the game

i started a project like yours at one point, but mine weren't near as nice (no outline + dimensions were maybe worse) and i gave up on it 😭

theyre sorta public i guess? theyre all on my toyhouse but i dont really want people looking through my profile rn, especially with how heated the trans discourse is rn

might make a folder with all of them and put it on ich.io i guess? free with an option of leaving a tip like other pixel flag resources ive seen up on that site
