Olympic Chocolate Muffins! (since the recipe is paywalled on WaPo)
Cool the muffins and ganache completely before assembly, about 30-40 minutes
Makes 12 muffins
Muffin Ingredients:
¾ cup (180 ml) whole or reduced fat milk
¼ cup (60 ml) water
2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
½ cup (50 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tablespoons (56 grams) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
½ cup + 1/3 cup (145 total grams) bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chunks
2 cups (250 grams) AP flour
1 tablespoon baking powser
¼ teaspoon fine salt
½ cup (110 grams) packed dark brown sugar
½ cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
¼ cup (60 ml) neutral oil
2 large eggs, room temp
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup (60 grams) chopped milk chocolate, plus more for topping
Ganache Ingredients:
2/3 cup (115 grams) bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chunks
½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon fine salt
Directions
Position rack in the middle of the oven, preheat 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a regular sized muffin pan with liners.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, water, and instant coffee. Bring to a simmer, whisking occasionally.
Add cocoa powder and whisk.
Decrease heat to low, add ½ cup (85 grams) of the chocolate chunks and butter, whisk until melted and smooth.
Transfer to a large bowl and cool slightly
In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
To chocolate mixture, whisk in brown sugar, granulated sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
Add about 1/3 of the flour mixture, whisk until incorporated
Add remaining flour, folding with a spatula until no streaks remain.
Fold in remaining 1/3 cup (60 grams) chocolate chunks and chopped milk chocolate, until just combined. Do not overmix.
Using a ¼ cup scoop or measuring cup, divide batter among 12 muffin cups, filling to the top of the pan.
Sprinkle additional chocolate chunks on top.
Transfer pan to oven, and immediately reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bake for 22-24 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Start on ganache now
Let muffins cool in pan for 10 minutes, then use a knife or piping tip to cut an approximately ¾ inch wide hole in the center of each muffin. (use the centers as ice cream topping or eat now!)
Let muffins cool completely.
GANACHE: in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine chocolate chunks, heavy cream, and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Once muffins and ganache are completely cool, spoon or pipe ganache into the center of the muffin, until slightly overflowed. Serve immediately.

hockey player simon pt 03 // part of this plot // mlist
i swear it was just supposed to be a drabble w no plot
Tumblr media
jo heaves a sigh the moment you slide in front of her, and you would have been insulted if it wasn't for the gentle smile she gives right after. still, she's staring at you with that teasing tilt of her lips and her eyes narrowed in humour, one that you're not privy to.
"what?" you finally bite out, fiddling with your iced coffee, feeling self-conscious.
you fleet your eyes to yourself and, yeah, sure you're wearing the same pants as yesterday’s but c'mon? you didn't get to go back to your place after, well...
at least you didn't repeat your top, and is instead wearing a sweater you've stolen from simon's closet. cashmere, cream and soft, and the material comfortable, if not a little bit loose in the arms that droop past your fingers.
you thought you at least looked like those typical college students in the movies—effortlessly chic in a boyfriend sweater, if not a little haggard because who is not when in university?
she finally chuckles, the thrum of her voice easing up the frown that tugged your brows together. “don’t sweat it, superstar. it’s just that i’m still not used to seeing you be a sugar baby.”
you choke mid-sip, her words devouring you like an angry tide. you feel your eyes water in protest, the feeling burning as you sputter.
“i’m not–!”
“you’re not what?” tim asks, sliding into the seat beside yours.
you grumble, wagging a finger as you wipe your stained chin with your other hand. jo snorts and fills him in, chuckling all the while as she gestures at your sweater because she knows it couldn’t possibly have been yours.
tim’s smile turns cheeky, teasing, and he wiggles his brows at you.
“shut up, oh my god,” you whine, rolling your eyes at them, almost shyly, and you feel your cheeks warming. “i’m not– simon’s not my–”
“oh c’mon, babe,” jo says, playfully throwing her mechanical pencil at you. you huff before chucking it back at her, giggling to yourself when it bounces off her arm and rolls into the floor.
tim picks it up for her.
“he buys you expensive things—” her eyes flit to the new promise ring that you’re wearing. you unconsciously hide it behind your palm. “and pays for your tuition which i’m so, so jealous of.”
“doesn’t he fly you around too? in a private jet or something?” tim pipes up, shamelessly snagging away your iced coffee now that you’re too preoccupied to drink it.
“he doesn’t!”
twin brows quirk up in silent judgement.
“…he buys us first class tickets, not, like, a whole jet.”
see? they seemed to say with the way they cock their heads to the side.
you sniff. “it’s for work,” you mumble, remembering the first time simon flew you for his games.
“i mean, for him, maybe. but you? tell me what business do you have in winnipeg?” tim chirps and you almost want to jump him just to make him shut up.
“sugar baby,” jo finishes, singing. “but i mean, who can blame him, huh?” she grins, her voice dipping into a faux southern accent. “i’d spoil you too, sugar.”
“oh, you flirt,” you trill, taking the opening she offers to change the topic.
tim takes the bait and whines about how jo doesn’t do all those things for him, but jo is unmoved, eyeing you knowingly, but thankfully drops it too.
it’s just—
there’s a whole stigma to athlete’s girlfriends. for god’s sake, they even have a whole label—puck bunny—which is honestly just a dig made up by really shitty men who burn with jealousy . and you know that, but—
you can’t help but wonder if some, not all, of simon’s love for you is because of what you do to him. of what you give him in return. especially since he’s so busy all the time, either flying during the season and is rarely home, or packed with training and other physical regimen during the offseason.
so you wonder if this—flying you with him on the days the official WAGs are not being flown by the franchise, bringing you to vacation spots on the other side of the ocean, buying you everything you used to only dream of ever having—was his way of paying you back for your support and patience and care and love.
tim knocks his shoulder with yours, worry now lining his boyishly charming face.
“y’alright?”
“of course.” you lick your lips. “so did you ever get a copy of the lab sheet from rayan?”
.
you watch from the front seats as the team wrap up practice tonight, their coach looking pleased at their performance. it was still difficult to follow the game, but the players all look content too despite the sweat and their ragged breathing.
they never did know how to hold back even during a practice.
you say your goodbyes to the other people who came to watch, shooting simon a text that you’ll be waiting for him in the parking lot, and walk out.
the cashmere sweater, thankfully, is enough to fight off the cool air and the gentle breeze while you make your trek to simon’s distinct range rover, all sleek and pure black like he’s got the damn royals for a passenger.
it’s locked so you hover outside, stuffing your hands in the pockets of your pants, and entertained yourself with making puffs of air like you’re ten again. it’s honestly not too bad to be alone, if it weren’t for the sudden swarming of your doubts—the very same ones you thought you already shrugged off before taking the cab to the rink.
fuck.
“hey, love,” simon’s voice pierces through your thoughts and you jump, barely smothering the yelp that almost tore itself from the base of your throat.
you swivel, heart pounding, and simon’s beautiful face creases into one of concern.
“are you–”
“si!” you greet, jogging to him.
he laughs and opens his arms for a hug, one that you excitedly give him. you tuck your cold face in the crook of his neck, breathing him in, taking in the antiseptic scent of rink soap and the faint smell of his shampoo.
his body is so warm against yours, and you can’t help but melt in his hold, body relaxing at the comfort he brings you.
“you ready to go home?” he asks like the insinuation that his home is also yours is not heart-stopping and world-changing.
you nod, unable to trust your voice right now.
there’s something different whenever it’s just you and simon—your thoughts, for once, are quiet and your confidence in yourself peaking like simon is the only place in this world where you can truly be yourself. it’s not just indulgence, nor tolerance, but it’s pure unadulterated acceptance.
and maybe it’s because of that realization, that flipped switch, that in the lull of your conversation with simon, you bring it up.
“did you know? my friends think that you’re my sugar daddy.”
you feel him freeze, body going rigid as your words spill into the space between you two. you continue to hide your face away from, avoiding a serious conversation as regret begins to build, shame licking up from your fingertips to your ears.
stupid, you think to yourself. why the hell did i bring it up? fuck—
then, simon laughs, soft and sputtering, his whole body shaking as he giggles, choked wheezes uncontainable. you tip your head up just enough to catch his eyes, questions filling your tongue, waiting to be spilled, but simon cups your cheek so tenderly before you could doubt anything any more.
“do i need to be one to spoil you rotten?” he asks like he didn’t just shaken the foundations of your doubts.
do i need to be one to spoil you rotten, he said like spoiling you was the norm. like showering you with expensive gifts and booking you expensive flights and helping you with your expensive necessities was something that boyfriends typically do. like your friends are the odd ones for thinking he had to be anything other the man you’re dating to be able to splurge for you.
“no,” you say, dizzy with the weight of your affections.
simon’s smile droops, his eyes clearing. “was that something that honestly worried you?”
“i–”
the humour leaves him, and simon straightens up at seeing the gravity of the turmoil in your heart. his hands fall to your sides, thumbs hooked in the dip of your hips. he leans forward until his nose is brushing against yours.
“you know i love you, right?” simon asks, his voice quaking in desperation.
“yeah,” you sniffle, honest because god you mean it. “yeah, si. i know.”
“okay,” he says after a while, still intensely looking at you like you aren’t surely anything but a blob in his eyes with how close you two are pressed to each other.
then, his lips brush with yours, so faint, you almost missed it. you shudder at the feeling of it—how could a chaste kiss feel so intense?—your lips wobbling as something in your heart bloats.
you feel simon’s lips stretch into a grin from where they’re ghosting above yours, and then he’s kissing you again, this time deeper and longer. you curl your arms around his neck, feeling like you’re being swept off your feet all over again.
because simon is not good with words, truly, but he’s managed to swing an axe to the cornerstone of your self-doubt and made it crumble.
.
“oh god,” jo sobs in your arms, the two of you snuggled up under your sheets. “that was a joke! i promise!”
“i know,” you say, giggling. “i swear jo, it’s not you, it’s me.”
she looks up at you, eyes shimmering with tears. “are you sure?”
“yeah,” you croon, bumping foreheads with her. “...‘sides, simon’s taking me somewhere to make up for, and i quote, ‘making you doubt how serious i am about you’.”
she sniffs. “…permission to make a joke again?”
you grab your plushie from somewhere behind you and smack her ass with it.
“ow!”
“stop being dramatic—that didn’t hurt.”

SMILE FOR ME, DADDY.
Tumblr media
Chiron x BLACK!FEM!reader
WARNINGS:18+, pussy is being licked like ice cream on a hot country summer day!, no relation between reader and Chiron, y’all just bein nasty, Short.
SUMMARY:reader likes Chiron’s grillz and he shows her they look good on her too..*wink wink*
(Pt2)
✮✮✮✮
It all started with you askin’ him about those damn grillz.
“Pretty boy!”
“Smile for me, daddy!” You and your friends playfully yelled at the men across the parking lot, their attention landing on your entire group regardless of all the other people around them hooting and hollering about how nice their cars was.
They smiled nicely like it wasn’t nothing, the grillz in question gleaming in the streetlights. All grillz had different designs and colors. One was silver with diamonds riddling the top and bottom, one was gold with crosses engraved on it, one was in the shape of an AK on the man’s top row with the bottom slugged out with silver, and one just had simple gold, but that was all you had to see to make that kitty pur.
You all went silent, giggling amongst each other as the opposite group detached themselves from the hoods of their drop top rides, striding over to y’all. You got nervous with every step, your hands starting to shake. Each and every one of them picked a girl out for themselves to talk to, and you were last, the most intimidating one of them all approaching you. He was tall, nice beard, skin looked like glazed dark chocolate in all these lights, and his golden pendants and grillz only made all that pop. You could have fainted right then and there with how he was looking at you. Like he wanted to take a bite with those same golds.
“You said you want me to do what, ma?” He asked, licking his lips. You got a peak of the bright jewels in his mouth, your eyes twinkling with every sight of it.
“I- I said…I wanted to see them grillz”
✮✮✮
“FUCK! Ouuu, fuck!” You moaned, your hand gripping onto the velvet seats of the car that belonged to this man whose name you still didn’t know. How you went from asking to see his grillz to him sticking his entire tongue inside of you with no remorse for his seats? You had no idea, but you were damn sure gonna enjoy a handsome face being in your lap.
He wasn’t just kissing or sucking, he was making love to that pussy, like he actually loved the pussy. His tongue knew no limits, licking up and down from your throbbing clit all the way down to your ass. That’s how you knew he was a real freak, y’all only talked for about an hour. Your legs was lifted up so high you were sure a plane would think you were telling them to land right on top of y’all. Not to mention the top on the car was still down and y’all were still in the parking lot where the car meet took place. Thankfully, everyone had left, hearing about a street racing event that was happening downtown. You were too busy getting your soul sucked out through your clit to care about it.
He spread your lips with his thumbs and spat down onto your clit, watching it drip down to your entrance and spill on his seat. Sticking his tongue out, he only uses the tip to play with your bundle of nerves, flicking it back and forth as your stomach started to flip and cave in from the powerful orgasm you were about to have. Once again you caught a glimpse of those beautiful golds in his mouth, just shining at you, not to mention the feeling of the warm material sitting against your pussy every time he decides to put his entire mouth on you, collecting the juices that had attempted to fall.
“OH MY GOD!” You squealed, your pussy clenching and unclenching uncontrollably. Suddenly he closes his lips around your clit and begins to suck while sliding two of his fingers inside you, the sound of macaroni being stirred filling the car as he began thrusting his fingers at an angle inside of you while sucking. He felt your pussy contract around him, clamping down until you sprayed your juices all over him like a broken water pipe. “OH SHIT!” Was all you could say as you watched in awe, the force being so strong that you actually slammed your head back against the cars door. You continued to squirt through your surprise and confusion, wetting up his seats, beard, and white tee. And get this, the night still wasn’t over.
✮✮✮✮

coparenting!megumi with satoru where one of you gets lost after school supply shopping it's not the actual child that gets lost
Tumblr media
"megs, where's satoru?"
"i thought he was with you."
"that's a problem, then, because he hasn't been with me for the past ten minutes." you plop down next to him, sliding your sunglasses to the top of your head and taking in the busy park in front of you. the weather was comfortable today, cool enough that you weren't sweating but warm enough to have megumi's ice cream dripping down the cone toward his little fingers. you wordlessly hand him a napkin and he takes it without looking at you, continuing to observe the people throwing around a frisbee or having a picnic in the sunshine. there was a playground on the other side of the field and you could vaguely make out the blurry forms of children running about. "you can go play, if you want. i can stay and watch the stuff."
"i don't really want to," he replies. "i like sitting here with you." the corner of your mouth turns up into a smile. he was barely big enough for his legs to touch the ground and he absentmindedly kicked his feet back and forth under the bench. "do we need to go anywhere else today?"
"i don't think so, no. i think we got everything that you'll need for next week." he nods in assent and the toes of his shoes brush against the plastic grocery bags holding his new school supplies.
you could tell megumi was excited, in his own quiet way, when the car pulled into the parking lot of the store. as much as he acted as the bane of satoru's existence, you knew he liked spending time with both of you. you stopped satoru with a gentle hand on his shoulder when his lanky legs ran for a cart, gesturing toward megumi heading down the first aisle, basket in hand. you barely had to do anything for most of the trip; at most, you'd remind the boy of a specific type of pencil or notebook he needed and provide feedback if he was split between two different designs. any additions by satoru were pointedly ignored by the boy unless they were reiterated by you. "if you need anything else, just let satoru know and he'll bring it to your school."
"you can't drop it off instead?"
"i know i usually do, but i have an assignment that's sending me out of town. you'll have to make do with your esteemed mentor for a bit." you smirk and nudge his shoulder with your elbow, chuckling softly when he frowns. it was a little funny, seeing a child have the expression of a businessman desperately waiting for retirement. "what is it, megs?"
"he scares all my teachers." you choke on the sip you take from your bottle, jolting forward and laugh-coughing your way to normal breathing again. it didn't surprise you, what megumi said; it was the incredibly straightforward, slightly amused note in his voice that had water going down the wrong pipes. "i'm serious. whenever you're visiting, people always gush about how well you take care of me."
"and when satoru comes around?"
"they hide." a prideful noise escapes your throat and the two of you have identical smirks as you sit on the bench. your eyes carefreely scan the field for any bright white hair or screams of commotion that could indicate your boyfriend's presence, but there are no such things. nonetheless, you're not worried. he always found his way back to you somehow.
at least, that's what you think.
you feel the telltale buzz-buzz-buzz of your phone in your back pocket and roll your eyes when you see the caller id.
"hello?"
"i'm lost."
"mmm, poor baby," you deadpan, glancing at megumi to see a small smile on his face.
"aren't you going to come find me?" his voice is teasingly playful, implying that he disappeared on purpose just for the hell of it.
"i'm not playing hide and seek with you, satoru. just come back to the ice cream cart."
"but it's so much more fun if you come get me instead," he argues, his voice slightly too insistent for you to think that he's joking. he better be kidding.
"satoru."
"okay, fine. i actually don't know where the hell i am." he is not kidding.
you sigh, standing and taking megumi's hand. "just retrace your steps, sweetheart." you stand and walk a random direction in hopes that your navigationally-challenged boyfriend would find his way to you. the plastic handle of the store bag digs into the crook of your elbow as you continue to hold the phone up to your ear. "can you describe your surroundings?"
"uh, trees."
"those are everywhere, satoru. we're in a park." you can't help the giggle that escapes your lips towards the tail end of your sentence. the irony of the most powerful human on earth being lost in a park was priceless. "any specific monuments or something that i can head to?"
"there's a big field-"
"again, baby, this is a park. look, i'm just gonna do the thing. if you can't find us from that, you might need to rethink your career choice." megumi stifles a snicker from next to you and you abruptly hang up, cutting off the distorted protests blaring from your phone. you have a seat on the grass and megumi mirrors your position, taking your hand when you offer it to him. "just like we practiced, okay?" he sighs impatiently, but you knew it wasn't you he was irritated with. "alright, i'll go first and then you add on to me, yeah?"
stretching your neck from side to side, you close your eyes and slowly channel more cursed energy until it engulfs your entire body. soon, you feel megumi's faint but determined aura bump against yours. after less than a minute, instinct tells you that satoru received your beacon and you look over your shoulder to see him strolling casually across the lawn. he's tall enough that, when he finally stands above you and megumi, he blocks out most of the sun. you can barely see his eyes, but you know he can see the exasperation on your face. he merely beams at you like you produced the oxygen he was breathing.
"found you."
"took you long enough." he effortlessly pulls you up from the ground and you stumble, nearly slamming into his chest. "where did you end up going, anyway?"
"there's an old daycare center towards the back of the park. sensed something there and wanted to kill it before it bothered us," he explains, humming when you brush your fingers over the fabric covering his eyes. he delicately takes your hand and presses light kisses to your knuckles, so dotingly you'd think either of you had just come back from war. you're about to kiss him properly when a small voice clears its throat some ways below you. your face heats, suddenly remembering megumi is still there.
"are we ready to go, or should i give you two a few minutes?" satoru's jaw drops in indignancy.
"watch it, megs, or i'm gonna have satoru be the one dropping off all of your things during the school year." your hand ruffles the black spikes of his hair and he pouts.
"please don't."
"wait, what's wrong with me bringing your things?" megumi exhales tiredly like he'd clocked out of his 9-5 and walks ahead to the parking lot. you and satoru lag behind, his arm wrapped around your waist and matching his steps with yours.
"i'll explain in the car. will you be able to find it okay, lost child?" you raise your eyebrows patronizingly, putting on your best doe-eyed gaze. he scoffs, but you're not done making fun of him just yet. "whatever shall i do if you were to suddenly disappear? i may be forced to find another...suitor." you bat your eyelashes dramatically and you can see his eyes rolling behind his blindfold.
"ha, ha. very funny." his hands ever so slightly squeeze the flesh around your hip and you jump. "now i know how it feels when i start reciting shakespeare over minor inconveniences." you laugh and melt a little when his thumb draws apologetic little circles on your waist. god, he's so in love with you.
"i'm surprised you didn't start monologuing on the phone. it worried me."
"you don't ever need to worry about finding me because i'll always come back."
"you promise?"
"on the moon and the stars."

prompt is from @youneedsomeprompts because coparenting megumi inspiration comes and goes from my mind like an endangered species :))

It’s always been you - Kim Mingyu
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They had always been little rivals, secretly liking each other much more than they would ever admit – they just didn’t realize it yet.
From this, love would bloom.
content: non Idol Mingyu x non Idol reader, fight, angst, happy end, fluff, smut, drama, romcom, enemies to lovers, childhood rivals
wc: 1.5 k
a/n: I love the concept from enemies to lovers.
Tumblr media
You had always loved the summer – when the weather was perfect, and you could visit the beach, hang out at the ice cream parlour, or lose yourself in a new book by the pool. Summer in Busan was incredible, and growing up there was the best.
But there was one part of your childhood that you didn’t miss.
Kim Mingyu.
Kim Mingyu was the neighbor’s son, and since our moms were best friends, we practically grew up together. Whenever our moms had their coffee dates, we’d be dragged along to play, which usually meant Mingyu teasing and annoying me endlessly.
At first, we got along well enough. But everything changed when we started school, and Mingyu met Jungkook.
Jungkook had been your first crush, and Mingyu knew it because he overheard a conversation between you and your best friend. From that moment on, Mingyu made it his mission to embarrass you. He told Jungkook that you still wet the bed sometimes, and after that, Jungkook wanted nothing to do with you.
Every day, you’d greet Jungkook sweetly, but over time, you gave up.
The three of you grew apart, and whenever your mom asked if you wanted to join their get-togethers, you found an excuse to avoid them.
When you moved to Seoul, you rarely heard about Jungkook or Mingyu anymore. You still followed each other on social media, but that was about it.
Now, as you sat on the train heading back to Busan, you realized you’d be seeing them again. Your mom was turning 50, and you couldn’t miss the party. Mingyu’s mom, Minjae, was hosting the event.
It was a surprise for your mom – she had no idea you’d be there.
When you knocked on the door, shifting nervously from one foot to the other under the scorching sun, Minjae opened it with a gasp. “Y/N! You look like you’re about to pass out. Come in, come in!” She hurriedly took your suitcase. “Where’s my son? Did you walk all the way here?”
You nodded while taking a sip of the water she handed you. “I waited for Mingyu, but he didn’t show up.”
Before you could explain further, the door swung open, and Mingyu walked in, clearly annoyed. “Mom, I waited for an hour. Y/N didn’t show up.”
“I didn’t show up?” You glared at him. “You idiot, you left me waiting in the heat!”
Mingyu scoffed. “My mom told me to pick you up from the South station.”
“South? I was waiting at the West station!” You shot back, incredulous.
Minjae gasped. “Oh dear, I’m so sorry! I must’ve mixed up the stations. That’s completely my fault.”
You sighed, laughing it off. “It happens. I’ll just get changed and head to the pool.”
As you picked up your suitcase, Minjae added, “By the way, you’ll have to share a room with Mingyu. His sister’s room had a pipe leak, so it’s unusable.”
You groaned internally but forced a smile. “That’s fine, we’ve shared a room before.”
In reality, it was far from fine. You’d rather sleep outside than share a room with him. But what choice did you have?
As you unpacked your things, Mingyu casually strolled in, acting as if nothing had changed between you two. “So, still mad about the station mix-up?” he asked with a grin.
You shot him a look. “Let’s just say you owe me a lot of ice cream.”
Mingyu chuckled, leaning against the doorframe. “Deal. But don’t think I’ll let you off easy. You still owe me for all those times you ditched us back in high school.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips. Maybe this weekend wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Tumblr media
At your mom’s birthday party, the tension only grew.
You wore a beautiful dress, one that hugged you in all the right places and shimmered softly under the evening lights. You felt confident, graceful even, as you moved through the crowd of guests. It was a special night, after all – your mother’s 50th.
Mingyu was there too, looking unexpectedly sharp in a fitted suit. He was talking with some family friends, laughing along with the group, but every now and then, his gaze drifted toward you. He tried to act like he didn’t notice, but the way his eyes lingered whenever you passed by made it clear – he thought you looked beautiful.
And you had noticed him too, though you’d never admit it. He’d grown into someone strikingly handsome, his presence more confident than before, but there was still something about him that annoyed you.
The party went on, with laughter and music filling the night air. Every now and then, Mingyu would find a reason to talk to you. He’d make small talk, ask if you needed anything, or simply stand next to you when there was no one else around. It was subtle, but enough for you to realize that avoiding him wasn’t working as well as you’d hoped.
Later in the evening, as the celebrations began to wind down, you found yourself sitting outside on the terrace, taking a break from the noise inside. Mingyu joined you a few moments later, holding two glasses of wine.
“Here,” he said, handing you one. “Thought you might need this after the long day.”
You accepted it with a small nod, unsure of what to say. The silence between you was thick, and for a moment, it seemed like neither of you would break it. Then, his voice cut through the quiet.
“You look… really nice tonight,” Mingyu admitted, his voice softer than usual, eyes focused on the stars above.
You glanced at him, caught off guard by his honesty. “Thanks,” you replied, your heart unexpectedly skipping a beat.
Before you could say more, your mom’s laughter echoed from the doorway, followed by Mingyu’s mom, Minjae. They were standing together, arms linked, watching the two of you from afar.
“Oh, look at them,” your mom said playfully, nudging Minjae. “I swear, those two are secretly in love with each other.”
Minjae giggled in agreement. “I’ve always thought so too. They just need to realize it themselves.”
You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment, and you noticed Mingyu shift awkwardly beside you, pretending not to hear their teasing. You both exchanged an uncomfortable glance, but neither of you said a word.
Maybe your moms were right. Or maybe they were just caught up in their own hopes and memories of your childhood. Either way, the idea lingered in the air between you, impossible to ignore.
The evening was in full swing, with soft music playing in the background and the sound of laughter filling the room. You tried to keep your attention elsewhere, but it was impossible to ignore Mingyu – especially when you saw him flirting with a stunning blonde across the room.
She laughed at something he said, leaning in a little closer, and you felt a sharp pang of jealousy rise in your chest. You hated the feeling. Why did it bother you so much?
As if sensing your gaze, Mingyu glanced in your direction, catching your eye for a split second. Panic surged through you, and before he could see the frustration written all over your face, you quickly made your way upstairs, needing a moment to breathe.
Once in your room, you leaned against the door, your heart racing. You hated how easily he could get under your skin. Just when you thought you had your emotions in check, there he was, messing it all up again.
A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door, followed by the sound of it creaking open. “Y/N?” Mingyu’s voice cut through the silence, his steps soft as he entered the room.
You didn’t turn to face him, not trusting yourself to stay calm. “What do you want, Mingyu?”
He sighed, walking closer until he was standing just a few feet away. “What’s going on with you? You’ve been acting strange all night.”
“I’m fine,” you muttered, crossing your arms in an attempt to shut him out.
“Doesn’t seem like it,” he persisted, his tone stubborn. “You ran off the moment I looked at you.”
You swallowed hard, trying to keep your voice steady. “I just needed some air. That’s all.”
Mingyu wasn’t buying it. He stepped closer, his eyes narrowing slightly. “You sure it doesn’t have something to do with the blonde downstairs?”
You froze, your heart thudding in your chest. “I don’t care who you flirt with, Mingyu.”
He smirked, clearly not believing you. “You’re jealous.”
“I am not jealous,” you snapped, but your voice betrayed you, a hint of frustration slipping through.
Mingyu’s smirk only grew wider as he took another step forward. The air between you felt charged, heavy with tension neither of you could ignore. Before you could process what was happening, he leaned in, his face inches from yours.
“You are,” he whispered softly, his breath warm against your skin. “And I think you’ve had a little too much to drink.”
Your heart raced as the scent of him filled your senses, the tension pulling you closer despite your better judgment. “So have you,” you replied, barely above a whisper, your body betraying you as you found yourself leaning in.
Suddenly, his lips were on yours, and any hesitation you’d felt evaporated in an instant. The kiss was electric, years of unspoken emotions pouring out all at once. Mingyu’s hands found your waist, pulling you against him as your fingers tangled in his hair.
Before you knew it, he lifted you effortlessly, carrying you over to the bed as your lips never left his. The room spun slightly, a combination of the alcohol and the heat between you, but none of it mattered. Nothing mattered except him in that moment.
He laid you down gently, his body hovering over yours as he kissed you deeper, his touch igniting every nerve in your body. You knew this was reckless, fueled by too many drinks and years of suppressed feelings, but you couldn’t stop. Neither could he.
The night blurred around you as you gave in to the moment, to the desire that had been building between you for so long.
Tumblr media
The next morning, you woke up with the sunlight streaming in, blinking away sleep as you glanced around the room. Your heart dropped when you spotted Mingyu lying naked beside you, the sheets barely covering him. Panic surged through you, and you quickly bolted from the bed, rushing into the bathroom.
Once inside, you turned on the shower, letting the hot water wash over you. You stood there for what felt like an eternity, trying to forget everything that had happened the night before. The warmth enveloped you, but it couldn’t erase the memory of your impulsive decision.
After what felt like ages, you finally stepped out, wrapping a bathrobe around yourself tightly. Taking a deep breath to steady your racing heart, you opened the bathroom door and stepped back into the room.
Mingyu was awake, scrolling through his phone. He looked up at you, a playful grin spreading across his face as he caught sight of you. The only thing covering his lower body was the blanket, but that didn’t make it any less distracting.
“Morning, sleeping beauty,” he said, his voice teasing but warm.
You tried to maintain your composure, feeling heat rise to your cheeks. “Don’t… don’t look at me like that,” you stammered, feeling flustered.
He chuckled, clearly enjoying your embarrassment. “Why not? You’re the one who made things interesting last night.”
You shot him an incredulous look. “Interesting? You mean reckless!”
He leaned back against the headboard, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I’d say it was a lot of fun. But I guess you don’t remember all of it?”
Your stomach flipped at the implication. “I remember enough,” you replied defensively, crossing your arms.
Mingyu’s expression softened slightly. “Hey, it’s okay. We’re both adults here. It doesn’t have to change anything… unless you want it to.”
You hesitated, your mind racing. What did you want? The night had been exhilarating, but it also complicated everything. “I just need some time to think,” you said finally.
“Fair enough,” he replied, his grin fading a bit. “But just know, I’m not going anywhere.”
With that, he turned back to his phone, and you felt the weight of the moment hang in the air. You needed to sort through your feelings and decide what this all meant, but for now, all you could do was breathe and try to regain your composure.
Tumblr media
Later that evening, as you sat on the terrace, Mingyu finally found you. He leaned against the railing, his expression serious yet relaxed. “Y/N,” he began, “I’ve been thinking about last night.”
You tensed, your heart pounding. “What about it?”
He took a deep breath. “I thought it was… nice. Maybe we could make it a thing? Like a friends-with-benefits situation.”
Your stomach fluttered at his suggestion. It was reckless, but the thrill of it tempted you. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” you asked, trying to mask your curiosity.
Mingyu smirked. “Why not? We both know there’s chemistry between us. No strings attached, just fun.”
You weighed the options, knowing it could complicate things further. But the excitement of being close to him again was hard to resist. After a moment of hesitation, you nodded. “Okay, let’s do it.”
His grin returned, a mix of relief and mischief. “Great. Let’s keep it casual.”
That night, you found yourselves tangled together once more, the boundaries of friendship blurred in the heat of the moment. The chemistry was undeniable, and as you lost yourselves in each other, you realized this new arrangement might just lead to more than either of you had anticipated.
Thinking about him even when you weren’t together, feeling a connection that went beyond physical attraction.
Tumblr media
One fateful night, however, everything changed. You returned to his room unexpectedly and walked in on Mingyu in bed with the blonde from the party. The sight hit you like a punch to the gut, and tears instantly welled in your eyes. You felt as if the ground had vanished beneath you.
Panicking, you turned and bolted downstairs, your heart racing and emotions spiraling. Mingyu called out after you, his voice echoing in the quiet house, but you didn’t stop. You couldn’t face him.
When you reached the living room, you spun around, breathless and trembling. Mingyu followed, completely naked, the shock on his face shifting to concern. “Y/N, wait!” he urged, desperation creeping into his voice.
As the tension in the room thickened, your emotions spilled over. “Just go back to her, Mingyu!” you shouted, your voice shaking with hurt.
He stepped closer, confusion mingling with defensiveness. “What are you talking about? It was just a bit of fun!”
“Fun? You think this is all just a game?” You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. “I thought we had something more!”
He crossed his arms, his expression hardening. “We agreed it was casual, Y/N. You knew that.”
“Casual?” you repeated, disbelief washing over you. “So I was just a fling? Just someone to pass the time?”
“Honestly, yeah,” he said, his words cutting like a knife. “It was nothing special.”
You felt your heart drop at his admission. “So, I mean nothing to you?” Tears stung your eyes as you struggled to comprehend his coldness.
“Don’t make this complicated,” he shot back, frustration evident in his voice. “You knew what this was. I never promised you anything.”
“Clearly,” you replied bitterly. “I thought we could be more than just a hookup. I thought you cared!”
“I didn’t owe you anything,” he said, shaking his head dismissively. “It was just supposed to be fun for both of us.”
The weight of his words pressed down on you. “So I’m just another girl to you? Nothing special at all?”
“Exactly,” he replied, his tone blunt. “That’s how it is.”
In that moment, you felt the reality of your situation crash down around you. You turned away, tears streaming down your face. “I can’t believe this. I deserve more than that.” With that, you grabbed your things and stormed out, the anger and heartbreak coursing through you as you realized you had to leave this behind.
Tumblr media
You decided not to tell anyone about what happened with Mingyu. The pain was too fresh, and you weren’t ready to share it. Instead, you focused on avoiding him as much as possible. Whenever your friends planned gatherings, you found excuses to skip out.
But then came the Thanksgiving parade, a local tradition you couldn’t ignore. The streets were filled with laughter, floats, and colorful decorations, but you felt a heaviness in your heart as you walked among the crowds.
As you turned a corner, you unexpectedly ran into Mingyu. The moment your eyes met, a wave of tension washed over you. You quickly looked away, ignoring him completely. He stood there, hands shoved in his pockets, his expression a mix of regret and frustration.
“Y/N,” he called out, taking a step toward you. “Can we talk?”
You didn’t respond, your heart racing as you turned and walked away. You could feel him following, his footsteps echoing behind you.
“Please, just wait!” he urged, desperation creeping into his voice. “I know I messed up. Just give me a chance to explain!”
But you didn’t want to hear it. The memories of that night flooded back, and you quickened your pace, weaving through the crowd. You needed to escape the reminders of everything that had gone wrong between you two.
“Y/N!” he shouted, his voice rising above the noise of the parade. “Don’t just run away from this!”
You felt a mix of anger and hurt, but you didn’t stop. The last thing you wanted was to relive the pain. You pushed through the throngs of people, determined to put as much distance between you and Mingyu as possible.
In that moment, you knew you were doing what you needed to protect yourself, even if it meant facing the day alone.
Tumblr media
Mingyu and his sister Minseo arrived with their mom for a visit, and the atmosphere was lively. You greeted them politely, trying to mask your feelings as you engaged in conversation. Minseo was friendly and easy to talk to, and you found yourself chatting with her more than you expected.
As the evening went on, you noticed Mingyu watching you from a distance, a mix of concern and uncertainty in his eyes. Eventually, he approached, attempting to break the tension.
“Hey, Y/N,” he said, his voice softer than usual. “How have you been?”
You felt your stomach twist. “I’ve been… okay,” you replied, keeping your tone brief.
He frowned slightly, sensing something was off. “Are you sure? You don’t look well.”
You didn’t want to get into it, so you shrugged. “I just haven’t been feeling great lately. I think I need to rest.”
Before he could respond, you excused yourself, feeling the weight of his gaze on your back as you headed upstairs. Once in your room, you closed the door and leaned against it, taking a deep breath. The last thing you wanted was to confront the feelings swirling inside you, especially with Mingyu so close. You needed some time to gather your thoughts.
You took a moment to collect yourself, trying to push aside the emotions that had been bubbling up since Mingyu’s arrival. The walls of your room felt both comforting and suffocating, a stark contrast to the laughter and chatter you had left behind.
After a few minutes of silence, you lay down on your bed, staring at the ceiling. Your mind raced with thoughts of Mingyu, the unresolved tension between you two, and the feelings you had tried to bury. Just as you were beginning to calm down, you heard a light knock on the door.
“Y/N?” It was Mingyu’s voice, gentle and tentative. “Can I come in?”
You hesitated, not wanting to face him just yet, but something in his tone made you nod. “Yeah, sure.”
He opened the door slowly, stepping inside with an uncertain look. “I’m sorry if I made things awkward earlier. I just wanted to check on you.”
“It’s fine,” you replied, sitting up and forcing a smile. “I just needed a moment.”
He studied your face, concern etched across his features. “You really don’t look fine. Is there anything I can do?”
The sincerity in his voice caught you off guard. You felt a flicker of the connection you once had, but you quickly reminded yourself of everything that had happened. “Honestly, I just need some space.”
Mingyu nodded, looking disappointed but understanding. “Okay. I just… I care about you, you know?”
Those words hit hard, stirring emotions you thought you had under control. You looked away, unable to meet his gaze. “I know. But things are complicated.”
“I get that,” he said softly. “But I want to fix this, Y/N. Can’t we at least talk about it?”
You sighed, feeling torn. Part of you wanted to open up, but another part was terrified of where that conversation might lead. “Maybe another time,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper.
“Alright,” he replied, though you could see the disappointment in his eyes. “Just… take care of yourself, okay?”
With that, he turned and left the room, closing the door softly behind him. You lay back on the bed, feeling the weight of everything settle heavily on your chest. You needed to sort through your feelings, but for now, all you could do was think about the choices ahead.
Tumblr media
While helping your mom prepare for Thanksgiving dinner, you felt a knot of emotions building inside you. After a moment of hesitation, you finally said, “Mom, I think I might have deeper feelings for Mingyu.”
She looked up from chopping vegetables, her eyes brightening with interest. “Really? I’ve noticed how he looks at you. I think he feels the same way.”
You shook your head, brushing her off. “No, it’s not that simple. He’s with someone else, and I can’t just assume.”
“Just because he’s talking to someone doesn’t mean it’s over between you two,” she suggested. “You should talk to him about how you feel.”
Before you could respond, the doorbell rang, signaling Mingyu and his family’s arrival. You quickly set aside your swirling thoughts, shifting your focus to being a good host.
As everyone gathered around the table, the atmosphere buzzed with warmth and laughter. Mingyu sat directly across from you, and you felt the weight of his gaze more than once. Despite the underlying tension, there was a spark of connection that neither of you could ignore.
During dinner, Mingyu’s mom casually brought up Leona, the blonde from the party. “Mingyu and Leona are getting to know each other more seriously,” she said with a bright smile. The mention of her name sent a pang of jealousy through you, and you could see Mingyu nodding, though his expression was hard to read.
Suddenly, you felt a lump form in your throat, and panic set in. Before you could process it, you started to cough, choking on a piece of food. The room fell silent as everyone turned to look at you.
“Y/N!” your mom exclaimed, rushing to your side. Mingyu was right behind her, his eyes wide with concern.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice laced with worry. He leaned closer, his presence both comforting and overwhelming.
You managed to cough up the food and take a deep breath, feeling the heat of embarrassment wash over you. “Yeah, I’m fine,” you replied a little too quickly, trying to brush it off.
Everyone continued to look at you, concern etched on their faces. “Just a little too excited about the food, I guess,” you added, forcing a laugh, but the tension remained thick in the air.
Mingyu didn’t take his eyes off you, the worry still apparent. You could sense the underlying questions in his gaze, but you couldn’t bear to let him see how deeply his words about Leona affected you.
As the dinner continued, you tried to focus on the conversations around you, but the weight of the moment lingered in your chest. You felt torn between wanting to confront your feelings for Mingyu and the painful reality of his growing relationship with someone else.
That evening, as everyone mingled after dinner, you did your best to avoid Mingyu. You chatted with his sister and your mom, trying to distract yourself from the tension that hung in the air.
But then, as you retreated to your room for a moment of solitude, Mingyu quietly followed you inside. The door clicked shut behind him, and the moment felt charged.
“Y/N,” he said softly, his eyes searching yours. “I’ve missed you. I’ve really missed this.” He stepped closer, the sincerity in his voice making your heart race.
Before you could respond, he leaned in and kissed you gently. The warmth of his lips sent a shiver through you, and for a fleeting moment, you melted into the kiss, feeling the connection you had tried to deny.
But then, as reality hit, thoughts of Leona flooded your mind. You pulled back, your breath quickening. “Mingyu, wait,” you said, your voice trembling. “What about Leona?”
His expression faltered, confusion clouding his features. “What about her? We’ve talked, but it’s not like that with her.”
“Not like what?” you pressed, trying to hold onto your resolve. “You’re getting to know her seriously. I can’t just pretend that doesn’t matter.”
He stepped back, running a hand through his hair in frustration. “I thought we had something special, Y/N. I thought you felt it too.”
“I do,” you admitted, the honesty escaping before you could filter it. “But it’s complicated. I don’t want to be a rebound or a distraction.”
He took a deep breath, his eyes softening. “You’re not a distraction. I care about you. I thought maybe we could figure this out together.”
The conflicting emotions swirled inside you. You wanted to believe him, to step into the moment and embrace what you felt. But the thought of Leona lingered, casting a shadow over your heart.
“I need time,” you finally said, your voice barely above a whisper. “I can’t just jump back in without knowing where we stand.”
Mingyu nodded, understanding but clearly disappointed. “Okay. I’ll give you space. But know that I’m here, and I want to talk whenever you’re ready.”
With that, he stepped back, leaving you alone with your thoughts, the tension still heavy in the air. You sat on your bed, feeling the weight of the choices ahead.
You sat on your bed, the silence of the room settling around you. Mingyu’s words echoed in your mind, mixing with the confusion and uncertainty that had taken root in your heart.
You took a deep breath, trying to process everything. Part of you longed to run after him, to tell him that you felt the same way, but the reality of Leona’s presence kept you anchored in your doubts.
Later that night, you tossed and turned in bed, sleep eluding you. Thoughts of Mingyu and his kiss played on repeat, but so did the image of him with Leona, laughing and sharing intimate moments. You felt trapped between desire and self-preservation.
Eventually, you got up and made your way to the kitchen, hoping to distract yourself with a late-night snack. As you rummaged through the pantry, you heard footsteps behind you. It was Minseo, looking for a late-night treat as well.
“Can’t sleep?” she asked, her tone light.
You shrugged, forcing a smile. “Just thinking.”
“About Mingyu?” she probed, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.
You hesitated but decided to be honest. “Yeah, it’s just complicated. I’m not sure where we stand.”
Minseo nodded, leaning against the counter. “I know he cares about you. He’s been a bit different since the party. You two have a connection.”
“I thought so too,” you said, feeling the weight of your uncertainty. “But then there’s Leona. I don’t want to get caught in a messy situation.”
She considered this for a moment. “You have to do what feels right for you. But if you want to pursue something with him, don’t let someone else’s presence stop you. Talk to him.”
Her words struck a chord within you. You knew deep down that avoiding the situation wouldn’t help. You needed clarity, and the only way to get it was to confront your feelings head-on.
The next morning, you resolved to find Mingyu and have that conversation. After breakfast, you sought him out, finding him outside, leaning against the porch railing, lost in thought.
“Mingyu,” you called, your heart pounding as he turned to face you.
“Hey,” he said, his expression cautious but hopeful.
“I think we need to talk,” you said, feeling a surge of determination. “Can we sit down?”
He nodded, and you both settled on a nearby bench. The air was thick with anticipation as you searched for the right words.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about us,” you began. “About what happened the other night and what I really want.”
Mingyu listened intently, his eyes focused on you. “I want to hear it all.”
Taking a deep breath, you continued. “I can’t deny that I have feelings for you, but I also need to know what you want. I don’t want to be just a fling.”
He leaned in closer, his expression earnest. “You’re not a fling to me. I want to explore this—whatever ‘this’ is—together. But I need you to be honest with me too.”
“I am,” you replied, your heart racing. “I just need to know if you’re willing to put in the effort, especially with Leona around.”
Mingyu nodded, determination in his voice. “I’ll figure it out. I want to prioritize what we have.”
In that moment, a glimmer of hope sparked within you. It was a small step, but it felt like the beginning of something real. The road ahead was still uncertain, but at least now you were both willing to navigate it together.
You took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over you. “I want to explore this too, Mingyu. But I need reassurance that you’re committed to making it work.”
He nodded, his expression serious. “I promise you, I’ll figure things out with Leona. I don’t want to lose what we have.”
A wave of emotion surged through you. “It’s just hard seeing you with her, knowing you’re getting to know her better. I want to feel like I matter.”
“You do matter,” he insisted, reaching for your hand. “You’re not just another girl to me. You’re someone I really care about.”
His touch sent a warmth through you, grounding you in the moment. “I guess I just need some time to process everything.”
“Take all the time you need,” he said, squeezing your hand gently. “Just know I’m here when you’re ready.”
After a moment of silence, you both exchanged smiles, the tension easing between you. The conversation had lifted a weight off your shoulders, and you felt a flicker of hope for what could be.
As the days passed, you and Mingyu began to reconnect. You spent more time together, laughing and sharing stories, gradually rebuilding the bond that had felt strained. Each moment together reminded you of why you cared for him in the first place.
Tumblr media
One evening, while watching the sunset, Mingyu turned to you, his eyes reflecting the vibrant colors of the sky. “You know, I can’t stop thinking about how lucky I am to have you in my life.”
A shy smile crept onto your face. “Really? It feels nice to hear that.”
“I mean it,” he said, his voice sincere. “You’ve always been special to me. I want to make this work, no matter what.”
You felt your heart flutter. “I want that too, Mingyu. But I still need to know you’re serious about it.”
“I am,” he said, leaning closer. “Let’s take this one step at a time. No rush. Just you and me figuring things out.”
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow around you, you leaned in and kissed him gently. It felt right, the world around you fading away as you focused on the connection you both shared. In that moment, you knew you were ready to embrace whatever came next, together.
One afternoon, as you were sitting on a park bench, you couldn’t help but voice your concerns. “Mingyu, do you think you’ve really moved on from Leona?”
He paused, looking thoughtful. “I’ve talked to her, and I made it clear that I’m not interested in pursuing anything serious.”
Your heart raced at his honesty. “What did she say?”
“She understood. I think she felt the same way, but it was hard for both of us to admit. It just… wasn’t what I want,” he replied, meeting your gaze.
You nodded, feeling a mixture of relief and lingering apprehension. “I just want to make sure we’re both on the same page. I don’t want to get hurt again.”
“Neither do I,” he said, reaching for your hand. “That’s why I’m here. I want to make this work.”
As you walked hand in hand, a sense of calm washed over you. With every step, it felt as if the past was slowly fading away, making room for something new and hopeful.
Tumblr media
Then, one evening, Mingyu surprised you with a picnic under the stars. He laid out a blanket in a quiet spot, complete with your favorite snacks and drinks. The atmosphere was magical, the moonlight dancing on the surface of the lake nearby.
“This is perfect,” you said, smiling as you settled down on the blanket.
Mingyu grinned. “I wanted to do something special for us. I know it hasn’t been easy, and I just want you to know how much you mean to me.”
You felt your heart swell. “You have no idea how much this means to me.”
As the night went on, you shared stories and dreams, and the conversation flowed effortlessly. Eventually, the topic shifted to relationships, and you both found yourselves discussing your pasts, your fears, and your hopes for the future.
“I never thought I’d feel this way again,” Mingyu admitted, looking at you with earnest eyes. “You’ve changed everything for me.”
The sincerity in his voice sent butterflies fluttering in your stomach. “I feel the same way. I didn’t expect to care so much, but here we are.”
He moved a little closer, his gaze locked on yours. “I want to be more than just friends. I want us to be something real.”
Your heart raced as he leaned in, his lips brushing against yours in a soft, lingering kiss. In that moment, everything felt right. The world around you faded, leaving just the two of you wrapped in the warmth of your connection.
When you finally pulled back, you felt a sense of clarity wash over you. “I want that too, Mingyu.”
“Absolutely,” he replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “I’m all in."
As the night deepened, you both sat in comfortable silence, the sounds of the night surrounding you. Suddenly, Mingyu turned to you, his expression serious.
“Y/N, there’s something I need to tell you,” he began, his voice steady but filled with emotion.
Your heart raced, sensing the weight of his words. “What is it?”
He took a deep breath, his gaze unwavering. “I’ve loved you for a long time. Ever since we were kids. I just didn’t realize it until recently.”
You blinked, processing his confession. “You loved me? Even back then?”
He nodded, a soft smile appearing on his face. “Yeah. I remember those summers in Busan, all those moments we spent together. You’ve always meant something special to me, even when I was too young to understand it fully.”
Tears pricked your eyes as you reflected on those memories, the playful rivalry, and the undeniable connection. “I never knew. I thought it was just childish feelings.”
“It was more than that,” he insisted. “You were always the one I felt drawn to, and it’s only grown stronger over the years.”
You felt a mix of emotions—joy, disbelief, and vulnerability. “Mingyu, I never knew you felt that way. I thought I was just another friend.”
He shook his head. “You were never just a friend to me. I’ve tried to push those feelings aside, but seeing you again made me realize how much I want you in my life.”
Moved by his honesty, you reached for his hand. “I’ve developed feelings for you too, but it’s hard to shake off the past.”
“I understand,” he replied softly. “But I want to be with you. I want to explore this, no matter how complicated it gets. I’m willing to fight for us.”
Tears welled in your eyes as his words sank in. The weight of your shared history, combined with this new revelation, felt overwhelming. “I want that too, Mingyu.”
He nodded, squeezing your hand gently. “I’ve always been here for you, and I always will be.”
In that moment, surrounded by the quiet of the night, you felt a shift within yourself. The barriers you’d built began to crumble, making way for the love that had always lingered just beneath the surface. You knew this was just the beginning of something beautiful.

OK NOTES OVER!! LOVE YOU E-KITTENS!!!! IM GOING HOMEEEE AND SEEING MY DOG!!!
-
How the hell did you get here?
Your thighs twitched as you struggled to clamp them shut, but the assured little hushes of Sloan’s voice and their large fingers prying your legs apart strayed you away from doing so.
You opened your mouth and closed it, akin to a fish out of water. Forgetting what you were going to say, your words died on your tongue, shifting into small little whimpers as Sloan rolled their thumb over your swollen clit.
“Doing so good, cariño.” They murmured, tenderly kissing your earlobe. “Mierda. Always dreamed of seein’ you like this.”
-
“Sloan!” You bounded up to your brother’s best friend as they plopped down the couch of your living room.
“Hey!” They gave you that gorgeous, million dollar grin with their chipped tooth that you’d grown to find so attractive. Sloan instinctually opened their arms for you to leap into, giving you a small affectionate hug. “¿Qué onda? How’s it hangin’?”
“It’s good!” You cheerily piped. Your brother groaned at the sight of you unceremoniously interrupting his time with his best friend, but you ignored it— perhaps you stuck out a tongue at him and gave him a little side eye, but in Sloan’s eyes, you weren’t doing anything wrong! They’d defend you!
Your brother’s best friend. Sloan Cameron. The two had been friends for a while, so it was common for them to come over to your house to chill with your brother. Naturally, you found yourself acquainted with them, popping in to occasionally annoy your brother or include yourself in their conversations. While your brother was most irked by it, Sloan didn’t seem to mind in the slightest, instead treating you like a little sibling, often fondly smiling at you and ruffling your hair.
Oh, how you longed for those eyes to gaze at you with a different kind of affection.
You had the biggest crush on your brother’s best friend. You couldn’t help it— Sloan was so darn attractive with their messy brown hair and skin decorated in the occasional freckle, large frame walking around your house in shirts with the sleeves sloppily cut off, highlighting their muscle, and baggy cargo pants. You soaked up all the attention they’d give you like a sponge, eagerly awaiting them to come over to your house and hang out with your brother so you could brush your fingers with their larger ones while handing them snacks under the guise of showing them hospitality.
But they never seemed to notice. So you kept your pining for sweet Sloan a secret, tucked away in the corners of your heart for your silly little crush to never come to fruition.
“I’m going to the store to get some beer,” your brother announced, grabbing his keys and slipping on his shoes. “Need anything?”
“Hook me up with some ice cream!” Sloan yelled as your brother opened the door.
Your brother left the house and it was eerily quiet, Sloan and you being the only presences in the home. You pulled yourself out of Sloan’s arms, suddenly flustered by the proximity— but, of course, missing their warmth.
“We have ice cream. I bought some recently.” You piped up, hopping off the couch to skitter to the kitchen.
Over your dead body would you admit you’d bought the ice cream with Sloan in mind.
“Ooh, sweet! Haha. Pun intended. What flavor?” Sloan asked, eyeing you as you opened the freezer. They let out a little breath as they watched you bend over to find the sweet treat.
“Vanilla.” You answered, taking out the tub of ice cream, opening it, and sticking a spoon in it. It wasn’t like you’d documented Sloan’s favorite flavor in the archives of your mind… not at all.
You eagerly took the tub and ran over to Sloan on the couch.
“It might be a little bit melted because it sat out but—“
You let out a yelp as you stumbled, the ice cream going flying. Panic set in as you realized you were falling.
“Whoa, whoa! Hey there.” Sloan’s arms wrapped around you.
You swore all the oxygen left your body. Their arms were so big, so warm— you gulped, not daring to meet their eyes in fear of the chipped shit-eating grin they might be wearing on their stupidly gorgeous face.
What you did look at, however, was their shirt.
A mess of ice cream coated their body, and you internally screamed.
Mortified, your heart dropped. “Oh my gosh, I’m so so sorry— I didn’t mean to drop it at all oh no no—“ Hot tears of frustration pooled in your eyes as your lips tugged into a frown.
“Hey, hey!” Their voice cut you out of your rant and meltdown-in-progress. “It’s okay. Everything’s fine. It’s just a little ice cream.”
That was a TOTAL lie. They were practically drenched in vanilla.
You wailed in embarrassment.
“Ay, está bien. Don’t worry! I can just take it off.”
You gulped. You punched yourself in your mind for the lewd thoughts running rampant in your brain, searching for anything to distract yourself with, anything to reply with—
“Y-Yeah?” Fuck. You stuttered. “If you give it to me I can wash it—“
Stupid! Stupid! You were totally feeding into this! Thoughts of Sloan shirtless attacked your mind, and suddenly the room was way hotter than you’d recalled a minute ago.
Sloan chuckled and your soul left your body as you watched them peel their shirt off, showcasing their toned body. They made a show of it, too, confidently lifting their shirt off their body. Holy fuck. Their body was no joke. Accompanied with a bit of chub, they proudly displayed a set of prominent abs. Tattoos of runes, sigils, and ancient gibberish you couldn’t understand (or maybe your head was too clouded to read) were scattered across their body. Their bellybutton had a little piercing and a line of hair trailed down their chest to a place you quickly looked away from before your eyes could meet.
“Like what you see?” They chuckled. You cursed yourself internally. You were practically drooling over them!
“No— I mean yes— I mean—“ You were so close to slamming your head against the wall.
They handed you their shirt and you shakily took it, nervously clutching it like a lifeline to ground you to your surroundings. Thank GOD you were washing it, because you were practically sweating buckets into the fabric from your clammy hands.
“So..? You gonna get off my lap, or..?”
Oh, just kill me already, you thought. Bury me alive and don’t let anybody see my body. Especially my brother. He’d probably laugh his ass off.
You mustered the courage to stare at Sloan. They were so close to you, almost brushing their nose with you and—
Oh.
“There’s something.. poking me..?”
It was Sloan’s turn to be flustered. Heat rose to their cheeks as they gazed down, met with their little “problem”.
“Dios mio,” they gasped. “Don’t pay any attention to that. Lo siento, I am sooo soo sorry—“
You gulped. Was this really happening? No, but— what the hell? Had Sloan really gotten turned on from you sitting in their lap?
Gods. And they were big. Their hardness pressing against you— it wasn’t a joke. You struggled to pick up the pieces of your mind as thoughts flitted about— what would it feel like— what would it be like inside you—
“..Do you need help with that?” You squeaked out before you could even register the words in your mind.
Oh, you’ve really done it now.
Sloan stared at you with wide eyes, cheeks heated.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so fucking sor—“
“You mean that?”
Your hands unconsciously curled further into their shirt. You wanted so desperately for a distraction, to leave this awkward situation, but a tinge of hope and an indescribable pull left you staring helplessly into their eyes.
You nodded. A small nod, but a nod nonetheless.
“…You don’t want this.” Sloan laughed nervously. So you weren’t the only horribly mortified one here. It was almost relieving. Almost. “Do you..?”
Fuck it.
“..I like you. I want this with you. I always have. I mean, I want not just this.. I want you as a whole, I want Sloan Cameron—“ You squeezed your eyes shut as you spoke, too afraid to see their expression. Every moment they didn’t respond to you felt like a century. Your heart dropped with each passing second, wholly terrified of their response.
“..Que lindo..” They softly murmured. Their hand reached under your shirt to gently stroke your hip with their thumb, and you shuddered at the sensation. Their hand was big. And warm. You’d spent too much time staring at it, wondering how it would truly feel against you.
“I’ve always thought you were cute.” They finally said. You opened an eye to peek at them. They were looking away, expression unreadable. “Your excited little smile.. the way you always greet me whenever I come here..” They chuckled anxiously. “Heck, it’d be a lie to say I just come here to hang out with your brother.” They were flustered. You could see it. It was your first time seeing this expression on Sloan, but you prayed to whatever deity that existed that it wouldn’t be the last. You held your breath, hanging onto their every word. “Why do you think I choose your house to hang out with him..? I like.. seeing you.. ah,
demonios, I can’t do this at all..”
Their shirt dropped from your grasp and onto the couch as you stared at them, agape. Were you dreaming?
“So.. are you gonna get off my lap, or are we gonna.. canoodle? Ah, that was stupid of me.. idiot Sloan.. who even says canoodle..” You laughed with a mix of bewilderment and adoration as Sloan spoke, wiggling their eyebrows at you.
Before you knew it, you were kissing them. Kissing them like there was no tomorrow. Savoring their lips. Like this would be the last time you’d ever experience their lips at all. Oh, but you knew it wouldn’t be. You knew you’d have so many more moments like this with them.
Sloan’s hands roamed aimlessly over your body, slipping under your shirt. You let out a soft whimper at the sensation, noting the way goosebumps appeared on Sloan’s skin at the sound and the way they were touching you got more possessive; the way they were touching you got greedier.
“Sloan.” A kiss. “My room is much—“ Another one, this time they missed, landing their lips on the corner of yours. “—Comfier than this—“ You threw your head back like a drowning person gasping for air.
Sloan’s brain was too fuzzy to fully comprehend your words, but they seemed to understand the notion, hoisting you up in their arms by your thighs. You let out a yelp at the sudden sensation of being lifted off the ground. Their discarded shirt covered in ice cream that was probably melted by now (with the help of your ever-growing body heat) was long forgotten on the couch as Sloan mapped a course to your room, their lips never leaving your face.
“Abre la boca.” They ordered. You looked up at them, dazed eyes confused by the sudden Spanish. “Ah.. I mean, open your mouth.” You obediently complied, allowing them to greedily shove their tongue into your mouth. You surely would’ve fallen if it weren’t for their big arms keeping you up.
Their energetic tongue seemed to have a will of its own, messily dancing with yours, rolling over your teeth and mixing their saliva with yours. It was like they were trying to explore every inch of your mouth, charting all the places that had never been reached by anyone else. It was unlike anything you’d ever experienced— if there was one thing you knew for sure tonight, it was that Sloan Cameron’s tongue game was insane.
You only understood you were in your room when the sheets hit your back, Sloan atop of you. Their kissing never ceased; your mouth was starting to cramp, but hell, your mind was full of joyful delirium. You’d kiss them for eternity if you could.
You whined as their chipped tooth caught on your lip, the slight stinging sensation surprisingly pleasant. Sloan apologetically sucked on your lip, leaning back to stare at you.
Your lips were a mess. Drool leaked everywhere, and they weren’t too sure if it was from you or them— maybe both— but they were too aroused to care. You made them feel like a horny teen all over again. You, splayed out on your bed, legs quivering, shirt slightly riding up from the sensation of being practically thrown down by Sloan; you looked like a cute little  present, one Sloan was itching to unwrap.
“Can I take this off?” Sloan was too impatient for you to answer the question that they themself had asked, fingers eagerly working to strip you of your clothes. You would’ve laughed at their eagerness if it wasn’t for the burning need you felt for them in the moment, instead opting to gaze up at them dumbly.
Sloan sucked in a breath as they gazed at your shirtless figure. You were even more stunning than they’d imagined. Those nights of rubbing one out to the thoughts of their best friend’s cute sibling faded away as they registered that you were truly real and there, under them.
They wanted to ravish you.
They nearly whined, large fingers palming your bra-clad breasts. With shaky hands, they clumsily took your bra off. It took Sloan longer than it should have, them constantly kissing you like they couldn’t be away from your lips for two seconds and them fumbling with the bra strap and trying to stop themself from ripping it off entirely. But damn, if it wasn’t worth it. You looked absolutely beautiful. Sloan’s eyes roved over your body like a hawk to its prey. You shivered, entertaining the possibility of being swallowed up by them.
Their cock pulsed with need at the sight of your bare chest, aching to be relieved. It was almost painful, but Sloan was determined to make this pleasant for you, even in their lust-clouded haze.
“Mierda. So pretty.. I want you. I need you.” They moved their mouth down to greedily attack your breasts, rolling their tongue around your left nipple. They occupied the other with their hand, alternating between gently scratching the bud, flicking it with their thumb and forefinger, and cupping your breast. You squirmed in their hold and they let out a gentle hum of comfort to try and still your movements, which, admittedly, did nothing but make you wetter than you already were.
“Sloan..” They momentarily stopped their ministrations to soak up that heavenly noise, but quickly resumed when you let out a whine of protest.
“Mm?” They mumbled against your breast, stopping their sucking and tongue-prodding to dot kisses down your stomach. “What is it, cariño?”
You shakily sighed, fingers tangling in their hair as you watched them with glazed eyes.
“‘S not enough, I need more.” You protested softly. Sloan’s eyes softened at the sensation. A hint of their teasing nature sparked up and they thought about making you wait for the reprieve you so desperately desired, but they squashed the whim, deciding instead there was plenty of time for that later. Later, when you two were more prepared.
They pulled away from you and groping your tits and you groaned with disappointment, to which they chuckled softly at.
“C’mere.” They shifted on the bed so they were laying down. “Take your pants off.”
That sounded appealing. You gulped, scooting over to them, and obediently stripped yourself to your panties, to which Sloan let out a low whistle at.
Your panties were so cute. Did you doll yourself up in the hopes they’d see you like this and fuck you silly? Sloan sighed dreamily at the thought.
They pulled you onto their lap with ease, and you prayed that your wetness wasn’t soaking through your underwear and onto them. You bit your lip as Sloan hooked their fingers in your panties, slowly pulling them down. They let out a breathy sigh as they stared at the wetness coating your panties. It was them that you were so drenched for. Them. Sloan Cameron.
Fuck, they were so lucky. You were just the cutest.
“On my face.” They said softly, staring at you with love.
“What?” You sputtered. Sloan tossed your panties aside (as much as they enjoyed them) to who-knows-where in your bedroom, occupying their hands with grabbing your thighs. They marveled at the sensation, squeezing gently.
“On my face.” They repeated. “Sit on it.”
You stared at them incredulously. “You want me to sit on your face? But what if I’m too heavy?”
They chuckled, the sound rippling through your body.
“I think I have more than enough strength to handle you sitting on my face.” They said, a bit cockily. You gulped at their brazenness, casting a gaze to the muscles you’d been ogling over earlier.
The offer did seem tempting…
“But what if you, I don’t know, lose air? What if I suffocate you?”
“Suffocating between your thighs sounds like an honorable death.” They flashed that chipped tooth grin at you that you had grown to adore so much. “Sloan Cameron— died because they were too devoted to eating some pussy.” You snorted at their inability to stay serious even when extremely horny, knowing arguing with them was useless.
You shakily clambered atop them. They licked their lips as your sopping wet cunt entered their vision. You hovered over their face apprehensively, but Sloan wasn’t having any of it— you squeaked as they pulled you down onto their face.
You felt your brain turning to mush as you felt Sloan’s face between your legs. Their nose brushed your clit just perfectly, tingling your spine; it was like their face was made for you to sit on— a.. rather odd way of saying you were meant for each other. You gripped their hair in an attempt to steady yourself, but all hopes of regaining some sense of clarity were dashed as you felt them inhale you.
“You smell so good,” they moaned out. “I wanna taste you, I wanna taste you.. amor, oh, mi amor..”
You let out a keen as they ran their tongue along your folds, lapping up your wetness. They sighed like they were in heaven at its taste; You were everything they imagined and more, so much more.
You squealed as they traced your tongue around your entrance prodded their tongue at it.
“C’mon.” They shakily breathed out. “Move for me. You can do it.”
You gulped, knowing nothing but the feeling of their mouth buried in your cunt. The vestiges of embarrassment faded away as you first grinded on their face, replaced by a wave of overwhelming white-hot pleasure.
It was too quick, how you lost yourself in the sensations of their mouth. You let out soft sobs of ecstasy as Sloan ate you out like a starved human. They made no move to stop you from tugging on their hair as you ground yourself against their face, basking in your enjoyment and rather enjoying the pain.
“Sloan, oh, oh, I’m so clo—“
“I’m home! I brought your dumb ice cream!” Yelled the familiar voice of your brother. You immediately snapped out of your lusty trance, eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. You stared at Sloan like you’d been caught stealing from a cookie jar— they looked back with the same ‘oh shit’ gaze.
Your brother made his presence known in the living room, setting down the spoils from his trip to the grocery store with a loud, annoyed grunt.
“Where are you two?! Why the hell is Sloan’s shirt on the couch..? And is that ice cream??”
Fuck. You’d forgotten the shirt.
Sloan looked up at you. You looked back, face full of embarrassment, looking to them for help.
“Say something!” They urged you.
“What do I even say??”
“I don’t know!” They whisper-yelled, panic palpable.
You groaned in annoyance. It took every inch of your willpower not to squeeze their face from where it was with your thighs, but they’d probably enjoy that.
“Sloan went home!!” You yelled quickly, trying to sound normal— as if you hadn’t just been given the best damn head of your life.
“Without their shirt?” Your brother yelled back.
You looked at them for an answer. They pursed their lips and creased their eyebrows at you to as if to say “I don’t know!”, but all it did was send ripples of ecstasy through your body. You managed to silence a moan at the sensation of their pursed lips on you, and their eyes tinged with a rekindled fire.
“T-Turns out we had ice cream!!” You yelled back. “They spilled it and just went home without it! Th-they said they were tired!”
Your brother groaned in annoyance, mumbling a “That sounds like something Sloan would do”. You sighed in relief, though it was short lived as Sloan’s lips closed around your clit. Your eyes nearly rolled into the back of your head and you had to stifle the loudest whine— with limited success, as it came out like a little grunt. You slapped them from where you were, though it was light, your head too consumed with pleasure to truly do any damage.
“Keep moving,” Sloan murmured against you. You moaned softly at their breath against the sensitive bundle of nerves.
“Are you crazy?” You whimpered.
They raised an eyebrow at you, as if asking you to really answer that question. Yes. Yes, Sloan Cameron was batshit insane. And yes. You loved them. And the idea was turning you on far too much for you to admit.
You slowly continued rolling your hips across their face, gasping quietly at the sensation.
“Yo, are you sick up there?! You sound awful! Like, more than usual!” Your brother yelled. You cursed under your breath. Of all the times your brother had to show a semblance of care (even if it was backhanded), why now?
You gripped Sloan’s hair tighter, trembling with each roll of your hips. Drool fell from your mouth and onto the bed.
“Yeah, I’m fine! I’m- uh- I’m naked-!” You screamed. You cursed softly under your breath. Your tone was far too shaky to even sound believable.
Sloan giggled against your skin. You squealed, kicking what you could of their body lightly with your foot. They let out a quiet “oomph”, which did little to help you, as it blew air against your swollen clit. You threw your head forward, nearly burying your face in the bed. You really dug yourself a hole with anything you did.
“Ew!” Your brother blanched from the living room. “So I bought all this beer for nothing?”
Please leave, please leave, please leave-
“I’m not gonna waste this. And I definitely don’t wanna see you naked! I’m gonna go to a friend’s house and drink this!!” You sighed in extreme relief. “I’ll probably stay over! Don’t burn down the house! And clean up that shirt and fucking ice cream!” Even better. He’d be gone the whole night. You felt almost giddy at the thought.
You halted your movements, which Sloan pouted at, until you heard the door click shut. You almost burst into tears in relief.
“Thank goodne—“ You trailed off into a loud yelp as Sloan flattened their tongue against your clit. Any possible words escaped you, torn from your mind as Sloan endlessly abused the sensitive bud.
Their hands squeezed your thighs, nails gently scratching small marks into it, heightening your pleasure.
“Close— I think ‘m— Sloan— Sloan!!” You shrieked, clenching their hair and tugging. They moaned into you at the feeling, speeding up their movements to help you reach your peak. You assisted, grinding faster against their face, your imminent release the only thing in your mind.
You cried as you felt yourself cum, digging your heels into the sheets. Your whole body seized up in the most intense orgasm you’d ever experienced, and you collapsed on them, exhausted. Your thighs ached, but you couldn’t imagine how Sloan felt.
..actually, you could. They were beaming, licking off the traces off wetness you’d left on their face like it was fine dining. You were thoroughly embarrassed by the picture, but it was so addicting to stare at.
You panted softly, burrowing your face in their neck. You could feel yourself sweating, the heat in your body doing little in terms of leaving.
“Good?”
“Way too good.. What ab’t you?” You murmured into their neck. They blinked, as if the thought hadn’t even crossed their mind.
“What about me?” They looked just like a clueless puppy. You wrapped your arms around their waist, absentmindedly squeezing their stomach.
“This whole thing started ‘cuz you were hard.” You mumbled, gently raking your nails across their body.
They groaned in embarrassment. “Oh, right.. umm.. don’t worry about it.”
You pouted up at them. They cooed internally at the sight; you were just the cutest!
“No. You pleased me.. I should please you back..”
They sighed with a soft little chuckle. “I pleased you, and by pleasing you, I was pleased. Wait, does that even make any sense?” They hummed, thinking.
You still weren’t satisfied, fingers tugging at the band of their pants. Sloan gulped nervously, feeling heat spread through their body again. Their large, clammy hands covered yours, dwarfing them.
“Honestly, cariño, you really don’t have to—“
“But what if I wanna?” You asked softly.
Sloan let out a sigh.
“I can’t argue with that.”
You eagerly slipped their pants down along with their boxers decorated with assortments of puppies on them, admiring their built legs. You traced the trail of hair from the bellybutton piercing on their stomach down to where their pubes peeked out. You mewled softly, taking in the sight of them.
Your eyes trailed down.
“Oh.” You mumbled.
Sloan laughed nervously. Was that a good “Oh” or a bad “Oh”?
You were taken aback. By no means was it not long, but what you were impressed by was.. the girth. Sloan’s cock was thick. You gulped at the size, but were determined not to let yourself be intimidated.
You spat in your hand, slowly wrapping a hand around them. Awed by the way one hand barely fit around their length, you slowly pumped your hand. It was like you were entranced.
Sloan was weak. They were on the verge of crumbling. You looked so adorable, so fucking innocent, staring at their cock oozing precum with fascination, quickly looking up at them with each stroke to gage their reaction. You were so, so, eager to please them, and they felt like they were going to cum embarrassingly quick.
They felt like they were in some porn— except nothing they were feeling was an act— you were really there, with them, their skin was on fire, oh, they loved you so much. Oh, they felt depraved. Your hand on them was bliss. Pure bliss.
When you licked the tip of their cock, they almost came immediately. They cursed and willed themself to hold out a little longer.
You were thoroughly enjoying their reactions; Every shake, every shiver, every keen was addicting to you. You wanted to draw more from Sloan, discover more, feel more. With them.
You gave a vein a little kitten lick and they pulled on your hair. You gasped in surprise, sending more of their length down your throat. You gagged on it, hot tears forming in your eyes, but oh, seeing them keel over was so worth it.
You absentmindedly cupped their balls, giving them a soft squeeze. Sloan grunted. They were so, so close.
“Mierda, mierda.. te quiero, ah..”
You understood the gist of what they were saying, and let out a muffled “wuvvvyoutoo” against their cock, to which they finally threw their head back with a loud groan.
They came. Hard.
You gulped down a bit, pondering the salty taste. You pulled back, the rest coating your mouth. Sloan looked at you.
You were absolutely filthy, their cum coating your face. They reached out a thumb to wipe your mouth, but you licked it off your lips, just like they’d done when they ate you out.
Sloan gulped.
Yeah, you would never be their best friend’s sibling again.
Just you.
You plopped into their lap, too exhausted to say anything. They sighed, absolutely lovesick, caging you in their arms. They peppered your face with much more innocent kisses.
“I love you.” They mumbled softly.
“Mm.” You tiredly leaned into them, finding entertainment in tracing your hands along their tattoos. “..love you too..”
They smiled softly, nuzzling into your neck.
Sloan was whipped.

Never Too Late
Tumblr media
Buck x Eddie x fem!reader
summary: you and Eddie are in a relationship only to realize that you both are also harboring romantic feelings for Buck. Little do all three of you know that you're all actually in love with each other. Maybe you'll all find out before it's too late.
word count: 3k
Based on a comment on this post by @unknown-2505
The spot on the beach where you were sitting was nothing but great as you had amazing view of your boyfriend, Eddie tossing a football back and forth by the water with Buck. You always wondered how you had gotten so lucky as to have ended up someone like him. Someone so sweet and caring. Someone who was always there for you no matter what you needed.
You turned to look at Buck and couldn’t help but feel guilty for being slightly attracted to him. He was hot. It wasn’t your idea to spend a day at the beach and it certainly wasn’t your fault that he wasn’t wearing a shirt. That was just a bonus. You could see his tattoos perfectly and wondered what it would have been like to run your hands over them in the dark of your bedroom.
The thing was, you still very much loved Eddie. In fact, every scenario you imagined with Buck always had Eddie in it. It was always the three of you and there was always an attraction between the three of you. But maybe that was just your imagination. Something that you would dream about falling asleep, but something that would never actually happen.
You knew that Eddie had liked men. Actually, you were the first person he had come out as bisexual. And you accepted him, telling him that it didn’t change a single thing between the two of you. That you’d still love him no matter what he identified as. Eddie was still Eddie and nothing would change that.
But you couldn’t get yourself to admit it to him. Even though Eddie was also interested in men, that didn’t mean that he was interested in entering a polyamorous relationship with his girlfriend and best friend. You knew it sounded crazy and didn’t even think it was in the realm of possibility.
What you didn’t know, though, was that Eddie was actually very much crushing on his best friend. What he was feeling was definitely no longer friendly and absolutely crossing into the romantic category. He wanted to take the both of you on dates and shower you with affection, telling you just how much the both of you meant to him.
He was thinking the same thing that you were. That the whole thing was a pipe dream, something that would never happen. But that didn’t stop himself from dreaming about it. When he would cuddle you in bed, he would think about Buck on the other side of him, holding onto his waist as Eddie was in the middle of the both of you, Buck’s hands laying on top of yours as the three of you fell asleep peacefully.
“Did you hear me?” Buck asked and Eddie was pulled out of his thoughts, being thrown back into reality.
“Huh?” Eddie asked, feeling completely out of it and completely guilty. He shouldn’t have been having t those thoughts. Especially not about his best friend and especially not when he was in a committed relationship. Oh god, he was a cheater, wasn’t he?
“Y/n was asking if we wanted to get some ice cream,” Buck pointed over at you and Eddie turned, seeing you standing further up the beach with your phone and wallet in your hand.
“Yeah, sure,” Eddie nodded, suddenly feeling a little lightheaded. He wasn’t sure what was going on with him, but it needed to stop.
He began to walk towards you, but it was as if his legs had a mind of their own, heading towards Buck instead of you. Buck grabbed hold of his shoulders and steered him straight, heading in your direction. You reached for his hand and he took it, giving you the best smile he would muster.
“I think he needs some water,” Buck chuckled.
You handed Eddie your water bottle and he chugged it, thinking that if he kept his mouth occupied, he wouldn’t say something stupid.
“Thirsty, honey?” You laughed and Eddie just rolled his eyes before closing the lid and holding the thing in his free hand.
The three of you headed to the little ice cream stand on the pier and Buck ordered first, knowing exactly what he wanted. He received his order and began to lick it as both you and Eddie tried not to stare. Watching his tongue swipe along the frozen treat almost seemed like he was doing in on purpose. Like he was purposely trying to drive the two of you absolutely mad.
You turned towards each other and you gave Eddie a soft kiss, the two of you completely unaware that Buck was watching. He’d never admit it, but he wanted what the two of you had. Someone to go home to every night after work and snuggle with as he fell asleep.
What had started out as jealousy of the two of you quickly turned into attraction. Realistically, he had always been attracted to Eddie. From the second he showed up to the 118, Buck was absolutely fucked. He was jealous as Eddie dated countless women, but then you came along. For whatever reason, Buck didn’t see you as a threat. If anything, seeing you and Eddie together only sent him into a bi panic.
Buck was so attracted to you both that he found himself imagining what it would have been like to be part of your relationship. Why, he didn’t know, but he thought about it often. More than he’d ever care to admit.
Maybe it was just because he was lonely in that department and the two of you were always quick to invite him to hang out with you. You were completely unaware of how much of a third wheel he felt, but he would have never admitted that to you. He just didn’t want you to feel bad.
Buck could feel you staring at him with a giggle and he immediately turned around, trying to figure out what you were laughing at. You then stood in front of him, grabbing him by the shoulder. You wiped the ice cream from the corner of his mouth with your thumb then pulled away, Buck immediately missed your touch. God, he was becoming pathetic. Pathetically in love with his best friend and his girlfriend.
“Oh, thanks,” he chuckled nervously and you didn’t like how heat pooled in your stomach when you touched him. You had to get away from him, and immediately.
“No problem,” you turned to Eddie. “Honey, don’t we have that thing?”
“What-”
“C’mon,” you grabbed Eddie’s hand and pulled him down the boardwalk, feeling your heartbeat thud in your chest. He kept calling your name to get your attention, but you weren’t listening, your sole focus being to get to the car. And then you’d tell him the truth. Maybe.
You got to Eddie’s truck and he helped you inside before getting into the driver’s seat. You thought he was going to start it up, but he didn’t. He just sat there, his hands on the steering wheel as he stared out the windshield.
Eddie took a deep breath before turning to you, his eyebrows furrowed. His hand reached for yours, looking you in the eyes. You almost didn’t want to, but you knew you could never resist the almost golden color that came along when the sun shone into them.
“What’s going on mi amor?” He asked, his thumb rubbing along your knuckle. You couldn’t tell him. You just couldn’t. That would have ruined everything and there was no way that you were going to screw up the best relationship of your life because of a silly crush.
“It’s nothing, Eddie, seriously,” you turned to look out the windshield but he grabbed hold of your chin with his free hand and forced you to really look at him, his eyes boring into yours.
“What’s going on with you? You’ve been weird all day.”
“I have not.”
“You have. What the fuck is going on?”
“Fine,” you sighed, feeling your hands shake as you looked him in the eyes. “But this stays between you and me, alright?”
“Always.”
“I just want to preface that I love you and I love what we have. But…I-I think I may have feelings for Buck as well.” Eddie’s eyes widened as soon as the words left your mouth. For the first time in months, Eddie finally felt like he could breathe. Knowing that his girlfriend felt the same exact way actually made him feel seen.
His lips parted to say something, but he immediately shut it, unsure of how he should have responded, considering that there was so much swirling around in his head. So many things he wanted to say, but none of them felt right.
“Me too,” he blurted, immediately covering his mouth afterwards. You stared at each other with wide eyes, realizing that the both of you had felt the same way the entire time. That was something that you swore you were going to have to bury deep. Eddie too. But now that it was out in the open, you both felt like a huge weight was lifted.
“Well…what should we do?”
“Should we tell him?”
“I feel like that’s the right thing to do, right? Put the ball in his court.”
“Right,” you nodded, suddenly feeling more nervous now that you were going to have to actually tell Buck how you were feeling. There was a lot riding on it and you were suddenly afraid that he wasn’t going to be friends with either of you anymore.
“How about we invite him over for dinner tomorrow night and lay everything on the table?”
“That sounds good,” you nodded and Eddie put the truck in drive before pulling out of his space. Whatever happened with Buck, the one thing you knew was that you’d always have each other.
-
You stared down at the table that you had just set with all of your fancy dishes, feeling your heart pound in your chest. Buck was going to be there any minute and you were getting even more nervous than before. You weren’t sure why, but Eddie was super calm about the whole thing, as if he wasn’t about to tell his best friend that he and his girlfriend were in love with him.
“Mi amor,” Eddie spoke, resting his hands on your shoulder. “Let’s take some deep breaths, alright?” He breathed with you, the two of you, breathing in air and letting it out until you felt a bit better.
“What if we’re making a mistake?” You asked, chewing on your bottom lip.
“Do you think it’s a mistake?”
“No.”
“Then it’s not one. How about you sit down and I’ll finish up here, alright?” He pressed a gentle kiss to your lips before moving you in the direction of the living room. You sat on the couch and picked at the skin around your finger nails as you heard dishes clinking together as Eddie finished setting the table.
There was a knock on the door and you swore your heart was going to explode from how hard it was beating. You met Eddie at the door and he opened to reveal Buck standing on the other side. He was holding a bottle of your favorite wine and you were so close to pulling him for a kiss right there because of the sweet gesture.
He entered the apartment and you took the wine before pulling him to a quick hug and Eddie did the same, both of you trying to keep it quick so as to not make it awkward. Buck looked around, seemingly trying to look for something that didn’t seem to be there.
“Where’s Chris?” He asked.
“He’s at a friend’s house so I’m afraid it’s just the adults tonight. I hope that’s okay.” It was always okay. But that meant that he was going to be a third wheel and he didn’t need another reminder of how perfect the two of you were together and that there was no place for him in your relationship.
“Yeah,” Buck nodded. “Totally okay.”
You led him over to the table while Eddie opened the wine, knowing that the three of you were going to need a drink (or two) to be able to discuss the matter. Buck sat down across from you and began to serve himself as Eddie poured the wine then headed over to the table with the glasses.
You all ate and drank in silence for most of the meal, the tension between the three of you rising. You all usually spoke so loud with each other, but not tonight. All that could be heard was the sound of your forks scraping against plates and the occasional sound of your glasses being set down on the table.
“Well,” Eddie started, looking at your for approval to start the conversation and you nodded. “I guess we should discuss why we brought you here.”
“Wait,” Buck responded, his eyebrows furrowing. “This isn’t just a dinner? Oh my god,” his eyes widened, turning to you. “You’re pregnant.”
“No, Buck,” you chuckled. “I’m not pregnant.”
“Then what is this about?” He was suddenly afraid that you could hear his heart racing in his chest. Maybe you both had finally found out how he felt about the two of you and were sitting him down to reject him. Well, wasn’t that embarrassing?
“I guess we should start off by telling you that you’re our best friend,” you rested your hand on top of his. Yep, you were definitely rejecting him.
“And we love you,” Eddie added, resting his hand on Buck’s free one. “As…more than a friend.”
“Basically, what we’re saying is that we want to become a throuple.” Buck’s eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head as soon as the words left your mouth. He was dreaming. He had to be right? That would have been the only reason as to why you would have been asking him the question he had been fantasizing about for months.
“Hold on,” he closed his eyes, shaking his head, trying to get himself back to reality. “You want to be in a romantic relationship with me?” His eyes opened. “Both of you?”
“Yes,” you replied in unison, the three of you suddenly grinning at each other.
“I accept.” His words came out rushed that you almost didn’t understand him, but both Eddie and Buck were standing from the table so you felt the need to follow. You all rounded the table and gathered in a group, your excitement utterings overlapping each other. The apartment was finally filled with life again as your laughs rang through it.
The three of you shared looks, feeling nothing but excitement as you thought about your future with each other. It seemed nothing but bright and filled with happiness, the three of you finally getting what you had wanted for months. It was finally happening, no longer a figment of your imaginations or something you only dreamed about while falling asleep.
“Should we…seal it with a kiss?” You asked and the two of them nodded enthusiastically.
“Absolutely,” Eddie responded.
“I think it would be wrong if we didn’t,” Buck added. You turned to Buck and slowly stepped forward, throwing your arms over his shoulders. His hands went to your waist as his eyes moved to your lips, they were covered in a pretty red lipstick that he almost didn’t want to mess up.
You slowly leaned forward, capturing Buck’s top lip between your two, this kiss quickly becoming more desperate and hungry than you had intended. Your hands moved to his hair and his arms wrapped around your waist tightly. It was even better than he could have ever imagined and now he knew exactly why Eddie was kissing you any chance he got. Your lips were addictive and now he could kiss you any time he wanted.
You had been fantasizing about Buck’s lips for months and they definitely lived up to the hype. They were soft and tasted like the wine you both had been drinking. He knew what to do, somehow knowing exactly what you liked even though you hadn’t done that with each other before. You definitely could’ve gotten used to it.
You licked into his mouth and Eddie stood there watching, suddenly becoming concerned about how turned on he was by his girlfriend making out with best friend. The whole thing was so hot and he couldn’t wait for his turn. He was getting desperate, but also perfectly content just standing there and watching, seeing your tongues tangling together turning him on.
Buck moaned into your mouth and you took that as a sign to pull away, not wanting the thing to get too heated. You pulled away and tried your best to hold back the urge to laugh at your lipstick smudged all over Buck’s face.
You wiped the lipstick off of your face as Buck turned to Eddie, his eyes filling with fire. Eddie grabbed him by the back of his head and pressed his lips to Buck’s roughly, taking no time to stick his tongue into his mouth, letting their tongues scrape together. He wanted to taste him for himself and now he understood the hype. It was perfect, like the two of them fit together like puzzle pieces.
Eddie pulled away before Buck was ready, but he supposed that it was getting late and that he should’ve gone home since he and Eddie had to be at work early in the morning. Before he could speak, though, both you and Eddie reached up and wiped the lipstick away from his face. You both look so concentrated and he thought it was cute how you both were always so quick to take care of him.
“I should…head out,” he jerked his thumb to the front door.
“Do you have to?” You asked, a pout forming on your lips.
“Yeah, you could stay the night,” Eddie suggested. God, that sounded so inviting, but Buck didn’t have any of the stuff he needed, especially his uniform.
“I really can’t. Next time, though.” He took each of your hands and led you to the door as slowly as possible, stalling as much as he could. He pressed a peck to Eddie’s lips then yours before opening the door slowly, giving you each one last chance to get one more kiss before he left.
He puckered his lips and you jumped at the chance, this one longer and your lips lingered on his. Eddie did the same and before the both of you knew it, he was gone and the two of you were leaning against the door. You turned to each other as giggles escaped your lips as you both knew you’d go to sleep peacefully that night, knowing that you both finally had the man you each had been pining for for months.

TALK.
— swimming... fountains?
summary : the two of you had been best friends since god knows when. maybe things turn out differently when you pull him in.
not proofread !
Tumblr media
for as long as he could remember, dick grayson was utterly in love with you. from the way you held yourself, to the way you smiled at him, and down to the jokes you teased him with that he wouldn't let anyone else slide with.
ever since you were kids, you consumed his every thought. but what he didn't realise, was that you felt the same.
of course, it was a situation of miscommunication; simply just being too afraid to bring it up to the other, and not being able to read the hidden feelings of one another.
as nightwing, trained detective, dick knew how to read people. he could match a villain to their alter ego by simply passing them in the street on his way to grab a sub sandwich for lunch, but with you it was just different. maybe because it was a matter involving himself, as opposed to simply onlooking others. he felt conscious of his role in your life, and didn't want to manipulate things to follow his wishes.
put simply, he respected you immensely, and didn't want to force you into a situation he was scared you didn't want to be in. perhaps that was why you were better off as best friends.
on days neither of you had anything to do, you walked through the various parks of gotham, usually talking about how the past week had gone, or how the how many days that had passed between seeing each other had gone.
today, the two of you did just that. it was normal, nothing to be thought of it... right?
"i dunno, bruce has been stricter on us recently," dick chimed up in response to your question about his recent patrols. "so i don't really know what's going on."
pursing your lips, you gave a shrug. "even from when i've met him, he doesn't seem too lively. maybe he's just going through something."
"that's what i'm worried about."
and dick gave a sigh, one that held more weight than he was letting on. clearly this was something bigger than either of you two knew.
for a moment, you sized him up, watching as his eyes trained on the pebbly ground ahead. with the back of your hand, you nudged his arm, causing him to perk up.
"hey, how about we get some ice cream? maybe even sundaes from that shop on fourth?"
at this, his eyes lit up, stormy skies clearing with the reemergence of the sun, along with his charming smile. you knew he would be more than happy to, even if he didn't say so.
before you, the water fountain was approaching, with each step the two of you took. as it came up, you brought your foot onto the ledge, and began to walk along it.
as if like clockwork – because of the amount of times he had been with you as you walked along the fountain – dick held his hand out to your, soft palm up to the sky. in his field of work, it was a miracle he could keep his hands from getting calloused.
without having to think about it, you placed your hand in his, fitting like a puzzle piece; like a glove; lock and key.
"i already know what i'm going to get," dick piped up once again, his other hand snug in the pocket of his jeans. "rocky road, vanilla, and strawberry. maybe some butterscotch and marshmallows. i might gain a few, but i'll work it off tonight, anyway."
a laugh brushed past your lips, and you opened your mouth to reply. but any words about to escape slipped past without a sound, for your foot slipped. the fountain's ledge was slightly wet, probably from where a bird wanted a quick bath, or someone playing fetch with their dog actually threw the ball in and water splashed everywhere.
whatever it was that had happened, you were falling, no birds or dog toys could change that. and when you looked over at dick, mouth agape and eyebrows raised in shock, he was falling, too.
with a deafening splash! the two of you were splayed out in the water fountain, gasping at the chill, trying to push yourselves to sit up.
"oh my god!" you gasped, pushing your soaked hair out of your eyes, which were wide as they looked over at dick, who seemed just as shocked as you. "are you okay? i'm so sorry!"
"no, no, i'm fine," dick replied, running a hand through his raven hair, looking around at the situation as if not truly believing he was sitting in a water fountain, where literally anybody could walk past and find him. if he found any front pages with his photo on them, he would not be too happy.
on his knees, he waded over to you, and your eyes noticed the way his white shirt grew translucent in the water.
"you," he began. "are you okay? you're not hurt, are you?"
for a moment, you were worried maybe you were, but the adrenaline coursing through your body had deafened the pain, and you frantically moved to inspect if you still had all limbs.
opposite you, a chuckle brushed past dick's lips. "you look fine," he hummed. and when you looked up, his expression was soft; almost more stripped, more genuine, with the droplets of water lingering on his cheek and eyelashes.
"fine?" you repeated airily, the ghost of a disbelieving laugh running out with your breath. "like, i'm fine, or i don't look damaged?"
if you blinked, you would miss it. dick's blue eyes roamed your appearance briefly, the smile lingering at his lips. "yeah, you're fine," he replied casually.
he sat on his knees before you, not seeming to mind the cold water seeping through his clothes – which were probably more expensive than your rent – just smiling up at you, the chill causing a light flush to creep onto his cheeks. after a moment, his smile faltered, and he seemed to grow self-conscious.
"i want to talk to you about something."
you gave a laugh. "really? is this really the right time for that?" you questioned with a half-chuckle, eyes glancing around at the situation the two of you had found yourselves in; sitting pretty in a water fountain, where people were beginning to take notice. but hey ho, it was gotham; stranger things have happened.
dick paused, and, passing over a few beats, gave a bashful shrug. "i don't know. it might be. i don't think there would ever be a right time for this."
with a furrow of your brow, you narrowed your eyes at him. "what's up?" you hummed, repositioning yourself to sit more comfortably on your knees, the water rippling around you.
his mouth opened, readying to speak, but he looked away, seemingly thinking over his words, judging by that inquisitive glint in his eye. but he finally looked back at you.
"you know how much i appreciate you, right?"
at his words, the corner of your mouth twitched, aching to hold back a smile. "yeah, of course. i appreciate you too, dick."
"like," he continued, chuckling softly, "i'm not even mad that you ruined my clothes by pulling me into a fountain in the middle of the park. seriously. not even mad at all. if you were tim, i would be holding your head under the water right now."
you gave a nod, eyes flickering to the side. "where is this going?"
dick exhaled through his nose, expression hardening as he looked over at you. "i think you're great. i think you're great when you fall into a water fountain and bring me with you; i think you're great when you send me a text before i go on patrol telling me to 'keep safe'. i think you're great when we go on walks, and when we go share an ice cream sundae, and when you remember my subway order—"
"how am i supposed to forget that you like your subway melts with way too many pickles to even be normal?"
and he laughed, that softness that you just adored shining through once more, causing you to crack a grin as well.
"what i'm saying..." dick began once his chuckle had trailed off, eyes gazing into the trickling stream pooling from the statue in the centre of the fountain. "i guess... maybe i wish we weren't friends."
almost as soon as the words left his mouth, your eyebrows creased and your jaw dropped. "what– that doesn't make sense—"
"i'm in love with you, (y/n)," he finished, cutting off your confusion with barely a full sentence, his lips trembling. "okay? is that okay?"
how could you even reply to that?
noting your lack of response, dick continued to talk, trailing off awkwardly. he was ready for your years of friendship to be over.
"i just suppose we tell each other everything, and i kind of felt – i don't know – guilty that i was leaving this out. especially since it involves you. i know if you ever had a problem with me you would tell me, and the same for me with you, but i could never have a problem with you, i just thought it was the same sort of principle, i dunno—"
warmth clashing against the chill of the water, soft skin meeting soft skin. only for a moment. and it was over.
you pulled away, eyelids fluttering open to look at your best friend expectantly. best friends can't be best friends after this.
he felt for you the way you felt for him.
after every patrol, no matter how tired, he always made an effort to knock on the window of your bedroom, and bring by one of your favourite snacks, or even just to tell you about how it had gone; you adored it, the way he was so thoughtful. you thought he was just doing it because that's what best friends do.
he used to help you study for tests, and make sure you knew the content back to front before you went in.
some nights you would dance in the kitchen to your favourite oldies whilst cooking a dinner to watch in front of a good film; and it was those moments that you felt really connected him to you. but you thought it was just what best friends did.
as you looked up at him, lips thinning anxiously, dick's face softened, eyebrows upturning, the corners of his mouth pulling down.
"you just... kissed me," he breathed, his breath fanning your tingling lips. "why did you just kiss me?"
"why do you think, doofus?" you scoffed playfully, bringing a hand to softly nudge his shoulder, despite the bashfulness evident on your face. "i think i'm in love with you, too."

"That's nice, but I think I need more muscle,"
Wrecker x F!Reader One Shot
Summary:
Its a late night and lonely shift at the loading hanger, just you and your oversized help for the evening. Upon finding out the boys might be breaking contact with Cid, it only takes a flash of puppy dog eyes to convince you to blow off some steam.
WC: 3831 - Read on Ao3

*this is just my general "mature rating" specifics:
Content Warning:
Smut. Brief Angst. Wrecker is loaded. Oral (f receiving), fingering, Mirror sex, Thigh use, Cum cover, brief alcohol, casual sex, Mando'a, Ice Cream. Wrecker's name is actually Wreck-her.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
“Oh, what the varp…”
You eyed the sparking frigate that chugged into your docking bay.
“They're late.”
You spun at the gruff voice, weathered from an age of death sticks and drink, to look down at the scaly woman that sauntered in.
Cid stood arms folded following where your eyes had been as the wrecked ship came to a stop with a shriek and a rush of steam.
“If they weren't so cute-”
You didn't catch the rest of it, but you smirked amused as you watched her wander over to the men hopping out of the cargo doors. It didn't linger on you though, as you glanced back at the clock over the cluttered switchboard in the office.
Late is karken right…
There was no way you were gonna offload this ship on your own and get to go home tonight. Your fingers found their way to your temples and gave them a soothing rub before you followed Cid to address the vagabonds cluttering your dock.
They were laughing jovially as you approached, recounting their recent escapade to an amused set of claws and scales. The little girl, Omega, hopped down after them and you bristled. They brought the child with them again. You tried to smother the indignant feeling as she waved at you with her usual exuberance.
Hunter caught your expression and raised his eyebrows. You glared back and he clapped his hand to his chest, exaggerating like he’d been struck. It was stupid and you chuckled while the one called Tech rolled his eyes.
“Don't encourage him, he's been unhealthily drawn to dramatic antics lately and I fear he’ll start trying to make me laugh,”
Cid turned back to address you,
“My usual hangar, the account should be up to date.”
She turned to go and the boys turned to follow.
“Um, excuse me!”
They turned back.
“Do you know what time it is? Everyone else has gone home for the day.”
Cid made a face like it wasn't her problem, that wasn't gonna fly with you though.
“If you want this done tonight, someones gonna have to stay and help,”
Omega piped up,
“I can help,”
“That's nice, but I think I need more muscle, sweetie…”
There was silence, the boys looking between themselves, obviously wanting to touch base with Cid to get going again.
“I'll stay behind.”
You jumped at the deep, gravelly voice behind you,
“Maker! Wrecker, don't sneak up on me like that!”
“I wasn't sneakin’,”
You weren't sure why he looked so hurt, but he disappeared back into the shadows of the cargo hold and the rest of the squad shrugged and continued on their way.
“Great… the two of us then,”
You stomped up the ramp, ready to get to work and maybe steal an hour nap before the morning crew got here.
At least they had the sense to leave me the strong one…
Wrecker was already working as you entered the hold, casually throwing crates ten times your weight onto a hover pallet. You walked over to the load and started checking the box numbers against a dossier Cid had forwarded to your datapad.
The two of you worked like that quietly for about an hour; You giving directions and him following obediently.
“Take a break and get some water big guy,”
You casually swatted his hip and he jumped, hesitating but eventually going to the dispenser to fetch a cup. Leaning against a box you checked the crates that had been registered versus what was left and sighed. There was a sharp snap followed by a large clunk and you looked up to catch Wrecker tossing his gauntlets onto the discarded breast plate on the floor. He caught you staring as he unzipped the thick tan under coat to dab at the beaded sweat on his neck.
“It's hot,”
“Yeah… uh, do what you have to,”
But you were distracted, light glinting off the exposed muscle of his neck. He splashed water on his face and it dropped into the v of his chest, catching in the wispy hair that covered it. You felt your face flush and your eyes shot back to the data pad on your lap.
I need to get out more…
You stiffened as he came up beside you, bending to lift the crate you were standing by… but he stopped, a look of irritation on his usually bright features as he took in your tense posture.
“Do I make you uncomfortable or somethin’?”
“What? No!... No, I'm just tired… sorry, Wrecker,”
He moved the crate, stacking it onto the hover pad; stopping to roll his sleeves over his elbows.
“It's not just tonight.”
“Hmm,”
He turned,
“You're always like this. Quiet, but just around me… did I do something?”
“That's not true…”
“It is,”
You sank your weight back on your heel and thought about it…
“Shyte… I'm sorry, Wrecker… no, you didn't do anything.”
He shifted uncomfortably.
“You sure?”
“Yeah, I'm sure,”
“What is it then?”
You looked at him more directly, his brow was pinched and his jaw flexed subtly causing his temple to bulge in an anxious rhythm. He was tense, but still had that air of lost puppy that always made your heart pinch.
Shyte.
“No… Wrecker, it's not you… it's me. Sometimes I see those bright smiles on that handsome face and… I dunno, feel kind of… bad.”
You finished lamely, realizing you'd have to do better as his face slacked in confusion.
“Bad about being such a bitter asshole all the time?... Omega talks a lot, about what you boys deal with…”
You weren't sure if any of this was helping but he wasn't stopping you. Without realizing your palms had started to sweat and you tucked them into your pants pockets.
“Just, if you can go through what you guys do and still be so nice and sweet, well… whats that say about the rest of us… about me… and then yeah, I guess I get uncomfortable…”
“You're not an asshole.”
You snorted,
“Thanks.”
But you had said too much and turned back to your data pad, flushing and a little grumpy.
A shadow fell over you and you looked up to find Wrecker leaning over you.
“Uh… what's up, big guy?”
“You really think I'm handsome?”
Huh… I guess I did say that…
“Well… sure, you're a looker, Wrecker,’
You patted the chest boxing you in against the stack of crates.
“I like big guys with scars and goofy smiles though, so consider that a biased review.”
You pushed out from under him pacing back to scan the warehouse and formulate a plan of attack. You were overshadowed again and you turned back to the tall clone looming over you raising your eyebrows in question.
“Go out with me,”
“What?”
“Go out with me. You and me, on a date.”
You stepped back, considering his eager expression and softened.
“Sure, why not… next time you boys are free?”
His brow pinched, confusing you,
“What about tonight?”
He countered, looking hopeful.
“Ah…”
You glanced about the hold still mostly full of crates.
“I’d love too, Wrecker, but we're less than halfway through and by the time we're done-”
“What about now then?”
“...now?”
“Just a quick break for a twisty treat, I'm buying… I know a stand nearby,”
You hesitated, glancing about the rig again but he persisted.
“It'll take all night anyways… what would a little snack break cost us?”
He was leaning over you again, hitting you with sad puppy looks.
“Besides, I'm starving’,”
You closed your eyes, exhaling sharply in amusement before meeting his gaze. Without much thought you reached up to cup his cheek, stroking his pouty lip lightly with your thumb.
“Sure, what the varp…”
~~~
You perched on the back of a stone bench watching the tall clone navigate his way back to you from a crowded stall. It sat in the middle of an alcove of one of the many slums adjacent to the shipping district. It was a nice corner of the community; the laundry hanging from lines all the way up the circular thoroughfare added a colorful motif against the bare bulb strands haphazardly hanging about.
“Hope you like berries,”
A cold cone was popped into your hand, white whipped treat piled high and topped with a syrupy reduction of local berries. It looked wonderful, and far too fancy for this corner of the world. You darted your tongue out to catch a drip from the already melting desert while Wrecker dropped onto the bench seat by your legs, bouncing you slightly.
“Mm, it's good!”
“I know, it's the best I've found down here…”
“How'd you find it?”
You had started to work at the cone with more enthusiasm. It had been forever since you treated yourself and you made a resolution to get out more often again.
“Omega found it actually… kids seem to have a nose for this kind of thing, it's been awesome!”
You made a note to thank Omega, taking another lick of the sweet berry syrup.
“I won't lie, I worry about that girl, Wrecker…”
His face fell for a second, and he focused on his own desert before finally,
“It's not lost on us… that this isn't the kind of life she should have,”
You nodded solemnly, regretting bringing the mood down.
“We're not gonna bring her here anymore.”
“You found somewhere for her to stay while you work?”
That uncharacteristic pinch to his brow again.
Oh,
“None of you are coming back, huh?”
“Not if we can help it…”
You remembered the antsy way Hunter and Tech were hurrying to wrap up with Cid. It must be true… and you sighed. You were gonna miss the odd band of clones. Especially- now that you thought about it,
“Is that why you stayed behind tonight? Clearing things up with me?”
“Yeah… I don't know, I thought I might've upset you and I… It didn't feel right, leaving for good without setting it straight,”
“So tonight's it then?”
“...yeah,”
You sighed, then swore as you noticed the melting creme drip down the back of your hand. You let out a small whine as it got between your fingers, already making you feel sticky. You reached for a napkin, noticing Wrecker had already finished his cone and was eyeing your movements as you made to wipe the syrupy mess away.
You struggled, licking the melting side as you switched the cone to your other hand… but now that was the one holding the napkin and-
Without much warning Wrecker snatched your wrist.
“It's best not to waste it!”
He licked your hand and your breath caught in your throat, eyes snapping to the peevish expression coloring his scarred features. His wide tongue slid between your fingers to get at the sweet creme and he pulled your hand closer, finishing by sucking at the soft, webbed flesh between your pointer and middle digits; he flicked his eyes to yours with a wink as he did so and your thighs clamped shut with a sudden rush of heat.
It's best not to waste it…
You felt flames crawl over your face as you became suddenly aware of how crowded and public the little plaza was. By Kark, there were younglings present…
“I think…”
He planted little kisses to the back of your hand, up your forearm.
“... We should get back to the hangar… fast.”
You felt him smile against your skin before you were forcefully pulled up from the bench.
~~~
Your back hit your office door with another hard thump and you pulled your already swollen lips away from his hungry kissing,
“Wait, I need to unlock it…”
It had taken longer to get back from the snack stand than to get there and you weren't sure you hadn't left a few you-sized dents in the side streets on the way. Your jumpsuit was already unbuttoned down to the waist and you're sure the buttons were left with the dents. Even with his obvious exercise of control the man was strong and your legs wobbled as he set you down by the keypad.
You impatiently punched the code in and the door swished open.
His hands found your hips again, dragging you into the small office and lifting you to sit on the desk. Flimsi crinkled under your ass as you rocked from the force of his lips finding yours, pulling your thighs to grind against you. You gasped as the bulge you felt fighting the fabric of his trousers.
“Holy Maker…”
He chuckled at your muttered oath,
“How'd you think I got the name?”
You squinted quizzically up at his sloppy grin,
“That can't be why…”
“Nah… but that's what I told the GAR”
You snickered, gasping when he brought your attention back to the sizable challenge pressing between your legs with a quick hump, shaking the desk and your resolve. He leaned in kissing you, softer than before, mouth moving more carefully to feel the shape of yours sucking slowly on your bottom lip.
“We don' have'ta go that far… but I could make it good for you…”
You tilted your head to look down again, tentatively reaching to feel the taught fabric, trying to gauge the actual size of him. The small groan that rumbled through him as you stroked his hardened cock settled things.
“Do what you have to, Wrecker.”
He grinned, shoving his thumbs into the open neckline of your jumper to slip it from your shoulders. An arm wrapped around your waist and he gave your body a little hop as he tugged the gathered fabric past your ass. He assessed the boots and the loose legs of the jumper and decided to pull the clothes over your shoes, leaving you in your scruffy work boots and practical underthings.
He kissed back up your thigh, tugging at the waist band of your panties with his teeth before those too were yanked down with a cascade of flimsi.
You pulled the bra off as he looked between your legs, his tongue darted over his lips and he hesitated, coming back up to kiss you more; hands roaming up your hips to grab at your exposed breasts.
You were tugging at the zipper of his top, the sound satisfying as the coat fell open exposing his chest to you. You ran your fingers over the map of muscle, tight abs and bulging pectorals littered with healed burns and cuts. He sighed at your touch, leaning into you so you could feel his skin pressed to yours.
You kissed him again, slipping your tongue between his lips to deepen the need growing between you. Your fingers scratched into chest hair, a gentle, circular motion that brushed the soft strands and sent a wave of ease through him as the coat slipped off his arms. Then you were held to him, thick arms pressing you into his broad chest.
You felt his hands wandering, strong fingers finding their way between your legs. He groaned against your lips as he felt how slick you were for him, a small wet spot forming on the desk from the heat of your arousal.
He wasn't quite satisfied apparently, breaking the kiss to gently lay you back over the desk. His mass leaning over you made you feel helpless as he pressed more kisses against your neck,
“I need you more relaxed,”
It was mumbled low against your skin and you took a deep breath, catching the tension that tried to coil from where his lips pressed against you; first your collar bone, then exploratively down forming a cool trail across your breasts and down to your navel.
His hands followed, pressing your breasts, rolling your nipples with his palms, thumbs pressing the skin of your stomach, following the path of your belly button as he sank between your legs.
You gasped as you felt his tongue against your folds, a long, firm lap over the spread petals. He continued at that pace, slow, even licks; pressing into your clit but not focusing on it. Wide, rough hands were slowly rubbing your thighs, massaging the muscle with his thumbs, up your belly, then back down again. He wanted you to uncoil, coaxing you into a hazy, limp state.
Eventually a thick finger probed your entrance, carefully penetrating into you, gently pulling at the ring of muscle as he withdrew. You mewled at the ministrations, feeling him stretch you gradually, gasping as a second finger joined the first.
He started licking harder, moving his fingers in and out of you. Ragged pants started to pour from your throat. You were getting tense despite your attempts to stay calm and relaxed. His fingers would dip into you, then spread as he withdrew them, working the muscle looser while rubbing across the nerve endings to light sparks through you. You felt warmth wash over your senses, melting into your muscles with a breathy sigh as he gently brought you to climax.
He made a pleased noise as you grew wetter around his fingers, his deep voice rumbling through your bones. His hand left you, fingers disappearing between his lips as he sucked them clean. Then his firm grip was around your hips, rolling you carefully to lay flat on your stomach.
Your breath caught at his palms squeezing your ass, spreading you, taking you in from this angle. You looked over your shoulder, catching his eye as he looked over you and the corner of his mouth twitched. He stood, hands making for the clasps of his pants. The breath you were holding came out in a small whine as you felt the weight of his cock fall across your rump. It was large enough to feel twitching against the small of your back and a shudder went through you.
He moved his hips, a few test thrusts between the round cheeks of your ass before handling himself to angle to your opening. You bit your lip as you felt him pressing against your folds. Still staring over your own back you watched as he spit on his own length, smoothing the saliva over his head before adding pressure to your entrance, coaxing your lips around him.
“You sure you want this, mesh’la?”
Good question…
You reached over the desk to yank a drawer open, pulling out a hidden bottle and taking a swig. You felt the ease seep into you and you braced yourself.
“I'm ready Wrecker…”
He pushed, pressure increasing to something almost white hot and painful, but never going over that edge as he eased back, then pressure again. You felt yourself stretch and let out a whimper as his head finally popped past the tight muscle of your opening. More spit landed where his flesh met yours, feeling almost cold on your heated skin. Slowly, he inched inside of you; taking his time and crooning soft little praises at the gasps you made.
You took what you could, gripping the edge of the desk, feeling full as he ground against your limit. You both groaned as he withdrew, pressing back again to pin you to the desktop. Ecstasy ripped through you as he stroked against the nerves pressed so tightly to his girth. You cried out, eyes rolling back slightly at the overwhelming sensation. The desk shook with his next thrust and he grabbed your hips as you went limp, surrendering to the current that was setting your synapses ablaze. The rattle of the desk was loud as he worked himself in and out of you leaving you dazed and dancing on a pleasurable edge.
The room pitched and you felt yourself lifted, strong arms wrapping under your thighs to lean you back against his chest. You lifted your arms back around his neck, cradling his head behind yours. He carried you perched on his shaft to the fresher, hitting the light and door switches with his elbow. Positioning you in front of the sink he spread your legs in front of the mirror.
“Look how good you take me,”
He was nuzzling into your neck, forearms taught as iron bars lifted you then slid you back down. You watched your stomach ripple as he pushed against your insides. He wasn't even fully sheathed and you moaned pathetically at the sight of him inside you.
Swinging his hips and arms in unison he brought you down on him. Fast, controlled, thumping into you with rough groans against your neck.
You let yourself get lost in the crashing sensations; his chest flexing against your back, breath hot against your nape, his voice a persistent rumble through your core. There was no room for thoughts, your brain filled with nothing but whirring electricity that became louder, more frantic with every thrust.
“Wrecker, I- I can’t-”
Before you could finish the thought, orgasm tore through your senses. Strong hands held you tight as you writhed in his grasp, shuddering around the cock snugged firmly inside of you.
He kissed the back of your shoulder as you came down before he withdrew from you, turning you to sit on the counter. He tugged your hips to the edge, laying his cock on your belly and closing your thighs around his shaft. Hugging your knees tight he thrust against your legs, massaging his length against your clit and inner thighs.
You limply watched him hammer against you, harder than he would've dared inside. He grunted in satisfaction as your hands found his head against your belly, teasing the ridge as it moved back and forth over you. The friction of his cock against your folds was forcing ragged gasps from your throat and you moved with him, chasing one last high.
Your thighs flexed, clamping over him as you came again and Wrecker let out a low moan, thrusting till his hips were against your thighs. Cum shot from him in ropes to splatter against your breasts and belly.
He leaned more into the counter, bracing himself over your glazed torso to kiss your forehead, then nose, then lips.
“Thank you, mesh’la,”
You were trying to catch your breath,
“No problem, big guy,”
“Can I call you?”
“My coms are always open,”
“Where is everyone?”
A small voice drifted in through the hanger,
“Maybe they took a break,”
Hunter and Omega had come back looking for their squad mate.
“I'll check the office!”
No! Omega,
The door to the office swished open and you both tensed.
“Ah-uh, maybe they went to get something to eat… you know how Wrecker is.”
The door swished shut, and you breathed again, silently thanking Hunter for the save. Omega prattled on unawares,
“You're probably right! There's a twisty treat stand we found near here, I bet he went there!”
“Yeah, uh, let's go check,”
The voices drifted away and warm soft kisses found your lips again.
“Let's get you cleaned up,”
“Please.”

This idea popped into my head while making my coffee this morning. How do the batboys like their coffee? Do they like the specialty drinks or just a good cup of coffee?
I could honestly go both ways. Like some morning I just want a cup of coffee with some cream and sugar but some days I want a specialty drink that will give you a cavity by just looking at it lol
OH MY GOD!!! I LOVE THIS!!!
Coffee/Latte Orders of the Bat Boys and Vanserra Bros
Rhysand
I think it depends on the day but Rhys gives me Cold Brew vibes. He needs the espresso for sure with all his high lord activities! But he absolutely adds oat milk to it, because he does not want plain black coffee.
I don't think he likes the actual flavor of the cold brew, he def drinks it in the morning because he needs it to function, but later he would drink homemade caramel cappuccino.
And I think he wakes before you, so he will make you a cappuccino as well. He always sits himself at the edge of the bed, watching you sleep peacefully for a couple of minutes while sipping on his cappuccino, thinking about all the things he is grateful for, before leaning down to brush your hair out of your face and pepper kisses all over your face.
Once you wake up, and you give him his "proper kiss," he will leave you to continue his work, your piping cappuccino set on your beside table for when you're ready to start your day.
Cassian
Cass does not give me a cuppa joe kinda male. He likes his water and fruit juices and smoothies.
He drinks water throughout the day, especially because of the amount of training he does. He has one of those huge water bottles that has all the water he is supposed to drink in a day, and he carries it around religiously.
He def gets one for you and will check in on you throughout the day and remind you to drink your water, especially if you are behind on your water intake. He is the kind of male to make it into a contest between you two, just to make sure your competitive ass gets enough water.
He also appreciates putting strawberries, lemons, cucumbers, pineapples in his water so that the fruit can infuse its vitamins into the water.
And the smoothies are his morning meal. He adds protein powder, fruits, and greens into these and he loves them. He feels super refreshed by them, and will try to convince you (and his brothers) to give them a try, and they turn out to be pretty good when he makes them. If you attempt to make them, they kinda taste like grass in water.
Azriel
Az screams black coffee. He drinks his coffee hot, plain and simple. He uses this dark roast blend that is very traditional to the Illyrian mountains. His mother used to drink coffee like that, and I think it would remind him of her, and thus, he drinks his coffee black. He is proud of it too, smh.
I think it helps him poop, poor male is chronically constipated from stress
When he meets you, he teases you for adding milk and sugar to your coffee, but once he gets a taste of your coffee, he may or may not sneak in a sip or two from your mug when you aren't looking.
You both like to start off your days sitting on the balcony, steaming cups in hand with Az's wing wrapped around you to keep you warm, and you watch the sunrise together.
It tends to be really quiet in the morning hour, and it is a special time for you and Az to kinda soak in the peace and allow for your mating bond to glow as the bright as sun.
Lucien
Luc is for sure an oat milk chai latte girly pop.
He also appreciates a matcha latte here and there. I think he likes the earthy flavor, so if he is not feeling chai (which is very rare), he will go for the matcha. If he is feeling extra spicy, he will drink it iced.
I think the spice of the chai latte really brings him back to all the good times in his childhood, when Eris would sneak little five year old Luc some caffeine through the chai.
I think if Luc were to drink coffee, it would be a caramel apple flavoring that comes around only during the fall seasons in Day Court.
I feel like Lucien would be the kind of male who wants to support small businesses, so he would go to different cafes throughout the court to try their chai lattes and would bring you home a fresh pastry and warm coffee. It's especially fun for him when you wake up early and join him.
Eris
Er's coffee order is interesting and complex, just like the male himself.
He likes to drink Autumn-spiced mocha lattes. It is an espresso with steamed goat milk, chocolate, cinnamon, and other spices. It actually is incredible, and he gets it every morning with a warm almond croissant for breakfast.
He likes his goat milk. I don't know why, but he does. Fucking sexy ass weirdo
Later in the day, he will have a honey cream latte which is an espresso with steamed goat milk and honey. His afternoon drink is not because he needs the energy, but I think he likes to have a warm drink in between lunch and dinner.
You usually join him in the office, warm latte in hand with your own drink, and you sit together on his green velvet couch, his free arm around your shoulders playing with strands of your hair as you discuss your day and plans for the night.
When you're done with your drinks, you will take his empty mug back to the kitchens, but not before he kisses you.... and attempts to bite your cheek off.
he loves your cheeks, what can I say?
Masterlist which severely needs updating

Fluent Freshman - Part 18
PREVIOUS
Weirdly enough the only thing that FF can think of as they head down the stairs is the first Saw movie.
That one happened IN a bathroom right? He kind of watched all of them in a row to prepare himself for whatever Andrew might decide to do to him. But he’s near positive that one happened in a bathroom. It was derelict and he didn’t think it really had running water (or did it? Didn’t the guy wake up in a half-full tub? His memory is hazy in his bathroom related desperation and may be trying to protect him from thinking about water).
All leading to the main thought going through his head as he slowly headed down the narrow stairway to his death.
Would Andrew let him use the facilities before he’s handcuffed to a pipe?
The worst part about all of this is that he is not sure if he needs to take a dump or if he just needs to fart, he knows he has to take a piss. He’s read that when you die your body will relax and it’ll all just flow out of you and Nicky gave him these pants so he feels bad but he also does not want to face his death without pants. If he needs to take a shit then they’re definitely going to be absolutely ruined, if it’s a fart well…Andrew can’t kill him any further? He can mutilate his corpse a little but FF won’t be around to experience it.
No matter what he’s definitely going to piss himself. He had way too much water at Sweeties trying to consume the spicy ice cream.
You may be wondering why FF has not run away from his predicament and is walking down these steps without protest or comment or plea for his life.
First of all he is pretty sure that if he makes any sudden movements he will ruin these pants that Nicky bought for him. Second of all Andrew had already told him once that he wouldn’t accept any pleading for mercy he still remembers how he asked Andrew, “Please give me back my pen?” and Andrew had shot him a look that had his stomach cramp and his fingers itch for the bottle sweet pink relief in his backpack.
“I don’t like that word, don’t use it around me.” He said.
FF ever the pragmatic sort, “Which one?” He had asked because he had said a few, “I don’t want there to be a misunderstanding.” He followed up with when Andrew glowered at him only for the glare’s intensity to increase 10 fold.
“Don’t use the first word of your first statement or the last word of your second.” Andrew grit out and got up to leave without a word.
Message received loud and clear Andrew did NOT like words ‘Please’ or ‘Misunderstanding’.
So FF knows that any pleading for mercy would ABSOLUTELY result in Andrew not letting him take a bathroom break before him and Captain Neil make destroying him into a couple activity. The fact that Captain Neil is here is a bit of a shock but maybe Captain Neil has finally gotten the other Freshman Dealer up to snuff.
Maybe Kevin really did want to dissect him to figure out how Strikers keep passing straight to him?
They reach the door at the bottom of the stairs.
Ah, time to face the music.
At least he’d texted Gran that he was going to die when they had gotten into the club and the bathroom had not made itself readily apparent. Sure it was about his current ‘gotta piss / gotta shit’ situation but he’d been wise to keep his cause of death vague in that text.
The door opens and…
This is the NICEST torture chamber FF has EVER seen. (And after his desperation watch of all the Saw movies he has seen quite a FEW)
“Minyard, Josten, and Guest. Table 6 is yours.” A voice comes from the side and when he looks over there’s a man in quite a nice uniform standing behind a soft-lit bar polishing a glass looking every bit like a bar tender at those high-end places you see in movies. He looks around a bit more and there are some other people down here. It’s not quiet per se but it is a comfortable level of noise in comparison to the IQ dropping noise upstairs.
“C’mon Smith.” Andrew juts his chin towards a table in the back.
FF follows but continues to try and fit this nice little room into his world view.
Do these people watch other people get tortured to death for fun on a Friday night? Unlikely considering the upholstery on the booths and chairs looked like it’d stain if blood got on it. Was this perhaps a trafficking location where Andrew would sell off his organs to the highest bidder? He looked at the other patrons who seemed a bit higher class than the general club scene upstairs but not like they had the money to buy one of his kidneys. Maybe-
“Do not tell Nicky about this place, ever.” Andrew says as they slide into the booth. FF nods but can’t help but tilt his head slightly in an unspoken question, “He would absolutely tell any and everyone about it. Eden’s wants to keep this place a secret from the general public.” Andrew explains.
“Nicky currently thinks that there’s a straight swingers club down here.” Captain Neil says with a huff of laughter.
“Eden’s is cool, even though there’s some sick shit in the basement.” Floats through his head again.
What the fuck was a swinger?
His fingers itch for his phone but he’s currently talking with Andrew and Captain Neil so that’d be rude but they’re talking to him like he absolutely knows what a swinger is and he DOES NOT.
“It’s quieter down here. Figured you’d prefer it.” Andrew says as he gets up and heads towards the bar down here where the bartender was aggressively cutting ice chunks.
He and Captain Neil sit in silence for a few seconds before Captain Neil offers him a slight smile, “I know you’d rather be with your grandma and you and Andrew prefer not to say things out loud but we’ve really liked hanging out with you.” Captain Neil says.
????????????????????????????????????????????????
That’s such a nice thing to say to someone.
Especially someone like FF.
Especially especially when they’re planning on killing him?
He hopes his confusion stays off his face as he nods once. “It’s been fun.” It’s not even really a lie. Thanksgiving yesterday had been nice and loud and FF had missed the chaos of a Family Dinner more than he had ever realized. The car ride had been…a time but once he’d asked Andrew to either keep his eyes on the road or let him out Andrew’s hands had stayed at 10 and 2 and the ride had been smooth. Aaron and Nicky’s weight against him had been nice too, a warm memory before he developed a possible life long aversion to whipped cream. He’d gotten to go Black Friday shopping and Captain Neil even helped carry it home for him. Baking bad been nice even if the stress of doing it with his life on the line was less so. The subsequent nap and day spent doing normal college guy things had been…it’d all been nice.
It’s starting to feel like….
“Drink this.” Andrew puts a drink down in front of him.
No Andrew definitely wants his bladder to burst.
“What is it?” He asks instead looking at the creamy looking drink with suspicion.
Andrew rolls his eyes as he hands Neil a fruity looking drink as he sits with what is a few fingers of scotch. “It’s virgin.” Andrew says not answering the question at all and must pick up that FF won’t be drinking it until he gets the full answer because he continues after a moment, “It’s like a Pina Colada but with bananas instead.” Andrew answers.
It’s not that FF hates banana but why in the world would Andrew grab him this? Was it just one of the few virgins options on this place’s fancy menu or-
“Bananas will help get your stomach acid back down.” Andrew says, “Since you’re an idiot and ate that mango ice cream just because you wanted to impress that girl.” He rolls his eyes.
“Impress that girl?” There weren’t any girls at the table and how in the world would him eating that god-forsaken spicy ice cream impress anyone other than Betsy. Even Betsy would only be impressed by the depths he was willing to reach just to avoid what he perceives as an awkward social situation.
“The waitress.” Neil reminds him as if that cleared anything up.
“Yeah,” he says as if he has understood the conversation but he has not. “It was spicy mango.” He says because maybe if he keeps the conversation going he’ll get enough context clues to understand what might be his last conversation.
Andrew let out a huff of laughter and pushed FF’s drink closer to him, “Drink your fancy Banana smoothie Casanova.” He says.
No closer to understanding the conversation he accepts that it might be something that only becomes clear after he sheds his mortal coil and is no longer given a -10 INT debuff by his full bladder and revolting stomach.
He takes a sip.
Oh that’s actually pretty good.
It feels like he can feel it sizzling in his stomach and soothing the discomfort there. Maybe he should look into Banana smoothies as a replacement for what Abby has called a ‘concerning co-dependence’ in regards to Pepto Bismol. No one can put him on a medical watch if it’s just banana smoothies he’s chugging down like they’re going out of style.
“Thanks,” he says, “that was good.” He admits before reaching into his jacket and moving past the Megamind toy and grabbing his wallet. “What do I owe you for that?” He asks.
“We’re even.” Andrew waves away the money.
“You bought the stuff for breakfast, those brownies, and the pie tomorrow.” Neil says and FF blinks surprised to hear that they were talking about the pie he didn’t think he was going to get the chance to make.
“You don’t need to buy a spot with us.” Andrew says and FF leans back slightly at the intensity on Andrew’s face as he says it. “I invited you here because I wanted to. The brownies were good but if you don’t feel like making the pie tomorrow? It’s not like I’m going to drive you back to Palmetto and leave you on Abby’s doorstep.” He says.
FF feels gears start to turn in his head.
“It’s good pie.” He hears himself say.
“I didn’t even know about the pie when I invited you.” Andrew says and…
Andrew and FF sit in silence but honestly it’s not like Andrew’s sharpening his knives. The two of them mostly just do their own work or read. FF has been getting his German literacy up to snuff so that he can read the language when he goes there to visit Nicky’s fiance next year. He likes how serious Andrew is about learning it so that he doesn’t have to ask Captain Neil a thousand questions and it’d be nice if Andrew wasn’t obviously planning on murdering him.
Andrew brings dried apples and sends Captain Neil along with probiotic yogurts to their meetings. Both of those things tend to soothe his stomach and the yogurt that had been unflavored before was now vanilla which he liked a fair bit. It would have been a really nice gesture if it wasn’t for the fact that Andrew was making fun of his tummy troubles.
Andrew will put his foot down in practice sometimes when Kevin is getting too demanding wanting to know exactly how FF intercepted his passes to Neil. Kevin always backs off and Andrew will do the same when Jack starts to get a little too personal in his attacks at FF or when Sheena decides she’s going to be a bitch. It’d be nice if it wasn’t Andrew staking his claim that he was the one who was going to make FF’s life miserable.
Andrew drove FF around for an hour after Greg had shown up. He found out later from one of his friends that Andrew had threatened Greg after he had power walked away into the building. Andrew had driven him around and had only started heading towards the tower when FF had relaxed. It would have been nice if Andrew wasn’t trying to lure him into a false sense of security.
Andrew had invited him to his Family’s house over Thanksgiving when the bad storm had ruined his Thanksgiving plans. Andrew had threatened Jack to stop him from eating his Grandma’s pie and complaining about it. Andrew had stopped messing around with Captain Neil when FF had made it clear he was uncomfortable being in a car where the driver wasn’t paying attention to the road. Andrew had twice made him go to bed in the last couple hours.
It’d be nice if…
“We’ve really liked hanging out with you” Captain Neil had said.
Andrew was just trying to be nice.
Embarrassment rolls over him like a wave but FF has many years of pretending like he’s not going to die from embarrassment, “Thanks for inviting me. I’ll still probably make the pie tomorrow.” He offers.
Andrew’s eyes change slightly and FF is under the impression that he’s happy to hear that.
“Just enjoy your drink Smith.” Andrew says.
FF does go back to sipping his drink and letting more and more memories of things Andrew had done come to him and lets his embarrassment grow.
He finishes his drink and only then realizes that he is a code red in terms of bladder capacity. The new knowledge that this is not a torture chamber but in fact yet another overture of friendship from Andrew paired with his desperation finally loosens the question from his mouth, “Where’s the bathroom here?” He asks.
“There isn’t one downstairs but just head up stairs and hug the wall to the left.” Captain Neil answers.
“Bring your phone. If Frank doesn’t recognize you to let you back in.” Andrew reminds him.
FF nods and heads out of the club and up the stairs.
He might be doing a bit of a potty dance so he forces himself to become unnoticeable because he does not need cool people at a cool club to see him about to piss himself. Once he enters into a stealth mode that the United States Military would like to talk to him about he hugs the wall and nearly cries tears of relief when he sees a door labelled MEN.
He doesn’t think about the possibility of letting up on stealth mode because he is sure that he is about to make a face that he does NOT want any human being to see when he unzips his pants and starts to take the world’s most life-affirming piss on the planet.
As his bladder empties his brain is able to process the understanding that he had come to down in the basement he had thought would be his final resting place.
Andrew has been trying to be nice (and succeeding it was all so nice! He feels like an asshole! He is an asshole! Gran always told him that assuming makes an Ass out of U and Me. He had just thought it was funny grandma humor not valuable life advice!)
The night wasn’t going to end with Andrew’s knife in his stomach, it was probably just going to end with Nicky puking on his shoes (which is fine because these are the shoes Nicky was letting him borrow for the club anyways, they’re his shoes to puke onto.)
A secondary relief fills his system. His stomach, soothed by the Banana smoothie and now this, feels like it might actually let him live through the night.
While FF was distracted with a piss that would have made any number of cult leaders jealous with the number of divine revelations he was experiencing he failed to notice a second man enter the bathroom.
There was a reason that FF always ALWAYS became noticeable when he was at a urinal and the man who came to the urinal right next to him was showcasing that VERY reason.
He was trapped here for at least ten more seconds and he could hear the man grumbling distractedly but didn’t really pay it too much attention until…
“Fucking Wesninski Brat.” He grumbled under his breath.
Oh god dammit.
