I used to believe (and still do) that Midas always went radio silent around Fable to spite him and out of hate.

But now mix it with a little fear...

Midas had a /pos Fable (his name slips my mind) and - like other characters- I imagine they look pretty similar. So Midas having to see a version of their father being this manipulative, evil villain and what's more so, Midas started to experience life through Icarus and having to see their dad do what he did both to others AND Icarus may be a bit scary I'd back off too

I sure have been cooking and making playlists for a couple of sherb versions, so I thought that y'all might want to see them.

Also, I am working on my explanation document for why each song is on each if the playlists, but I am only like halfway through the Icarus playlist, so it will take a bit of time, but it is coming.

Also I did not put either playlist in any sort of order, so sorry bout that. but that would have really time consuming and I would have given up anyways.

Day 4: family

Rae got to have his final night with his family. The people who he chose and who choose him every day. Athena. Bruin. His partners. Ocie. Ulysses and Addie. And Ven. He got to have that beautiful moment with his family, all curled up on blankets, sharing stories and thoughts, trying to ease each other's worries.

He got an answer on what happened with his mother's soul. Shattered, yes, but it can still be strung together. She can return, no need to even consider what Fable had. Because one day he might get to greet her as she should be greeted. As his mother.

Rae also got to have a beautiful evening with Fenris. An evening full of star stories, reminiscing on past times and sharing hopes for the future. He got to spend that perfect night with one of his partners.

Meanwhile his brother, Icarus, spent their last day mostly alone, until late into the afternoon. They laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to ease the dull ache in their chest. Until their father walked in and told them that he had succeeded in killing his friend's; his cousin's parent. And then they were given a task. To look for the one person they don't want to hurt. The one person they swore they wouldn't hurt again.

And so they went out. They flew off into the sky and towards the Grove again, simultaneously hoping that they wouldn't come across Athena, and hoping they would. On one hand, they didn't want to hurt them, and in the other, they just wanted to get it over with. To end this.

Instead, they stumbled across the God of Pity and spent an afternoon, showing them around town. Deep down they knew that they were there out of pity, that when they told them to strike the Reaver down and kill them, it was out of pity for them. That, and their history together, and the fact that they knew they didn't want to continue this cycle, made them drop the weapon and decline.

Only to watch their father kill without mercy. Father showed no mercy towards the god, nor his child. As the two flew back to the cage that Icarus was kept in, they had to hear the disappointment in their father's voice. Their last day was full of misery.
