Muse: Nao in their angel verse

"I told you to get out of my way, I don't have time for this!" They rolled their eyes. The other was starting to get on their nerves. What did they even know?! Nothing! Were they simply trying to pick a fight. Because if so, Nao would show them no mercy.

"You've got a point." Given how some people decided to go down the path of crushing others beneath them so they could climb the social status ladder (a rather pointless thing to do since a human's life was so short one would think they'd strive to live a happy life than being in a constant marathon towards the finish line), anything was better than that. "It's not that bad, you could just go back to sleep after, right? Or do you need an extra potion from the guardian of dreams to sleep?" Nao was the one to talk! If they slept, they were such a light sleeper even the smallest disturbance in their proximity was enough to have them up on their feet. "That's not my forte, my job is only to walk the deceased souls through the afterlife and in a way advocate for them in front of the judges."

"Certainly not the worst idea in the world." He had to admit, although he was still deadset on adopting both a cat and a dog, though the temptation to add a few more to the mix was there too. Then again, that was if he reached retirement age and he wasn't exactly betting on it. It was a nice thought though. "Well, it's noticeably less exciting when you're woken up at three in the morning by two moggies screeching at each other in the street below your window." Though he couldn't quite stop himself from laughing a little at that, not needing to imagine it since it had happened a good few times, being awoken by the high-pitched screams of annoyed cats at who knows what time in the morning when he'd finally managed to drift off to sleep. The funniest part was hearing elderly Italian locals leaning out of their windows and yelling at the cats to be quiet. Surprisingly, it usually worked. Or someone would go separate them with a broom in hand. "You said it... can't say I disagree, mind. Guessing people's skills aren't at the top of the list when it comes to angel school these days?"

Plot: Nao had been given to your muse as a sacrifice, but instead of begging to be let go like one might expect, they straight up tell your muse to just kill them.

"If you're going to kill me, just do it now." After all, they've seen, experienced, and felt first-hand, death would be a blessing in disguise. Even if Nao tried to fight, tried to find a way to escape, they couldn't erase their memories and all that had happened. They didn't care anymore. "What are you waiting for?"

"That freaky dude really wanted to make sure people don't get out of here, huh?" Maybe it would be rather weird for Nao to think this, but it was rather unfortunate that they didn't end up in a trap made and planned by John Kramer, the person who actually started this whole insanity. But in a way made sense. Because given what they already knew that Kramer guy at least gave the players some chance of survival; and Nao has already been through hell, they were pretty confident they had it in them to follow a few instructions, be it very fucked up ones, as long as they knew that they could actually get out of there alive. But what Nao saw back there would have been basically their coffin, a useless cause, if Noah didn't show up. "Okay, I'll try." And hopefully luck would be on their side, because both of them needed it now.

“Well, I know how to get out of here. The problem is making sure we don’t end up in any surprise traps,” Noah admitted with a sigh. Hoffman wasn’t going to just have one trap and leave the rest up to fate. He didn’t want them to win, he didn’t play by the rules that John had set up. The rules had always been clear but that didn’t mean much at this point. Noah watched, took part when he needed to. But he knew that this was all bullshit. “Just be careful where you step,” he added, which he knew that due to the lighting of the building would be difficult. But he’d really rather not have his knees broken while trying to go up the stairs. Then he wouldn’t be of much help.

"Knows how to reply to everything too," Nao murmured. Though, it makes sense. Nao's job didn't really involve other supernatural beings, their branch was only about human spirits that had recently passed away, so they weren't exactly perfectly versed when it came to other creatures. Though, Nao still preferred their company over the angels who didn't even lift a finger when they needed their help the most... Even if that meant an annoying fox all up in their face. Nao sighed, lifted one hand rather hesitantly, but then reached to pat Nine's head. "Is that good? Will you stop being a menace now?"

"I'm a fox spirit, not a human. I'd not really say my connection to your uppers really exists at the level you claim," Nine answered casually to. He never really cared about the heavens and considering what he was doing at times, it made him wonder. There were legends he read of fox spirits simply stopping to exist or being reborn as actual foxes in their next life but this all was too far away to bother too many thoughts on it, even more so with them in front of his eyes. Now, that the reaction was as obvious, Nine felt daring and he moved closer again, biting down on his lip playfully: "Oh, I certainly could act more on my cuteness if you prefer that, or maybe a little more playful. You know, if you give me attention, you'd be surprised how adaptable I am." Yes, he was going all for it now.

Once both of them were fully naked, Nao tried to keep their gaze literally anywhere but on Woojin. Suddenly the bottles of hair shampoo and conditioner and the body wash arranged on the shelf were extremely interesting to the fox, even though there was nothing special about them---

But then Woojin bumped into them lightly and that alone sent tingles down their body. 'Ugh, get your head in the game, Nao, stop being a weird idiot,' they told themselves. It wasn't like they would die in this shower right at this moment. But Woojin had no right to look that attractive, it wasn't fair! They haven't even kissed, and now they'd be showering together? Wait, why was Nao even thinking of them kissing? With a quiet sigh, Nao followed Woojin into the shower, still trying to not let their eyes wander too much. "I hope you don't mind hot showers."

It was so hard to keep the smirk off of his face. Woojin watched Nao turn away from him, pushing down his pants in the process. He wasn't wearing underwear - didn't need to for a day off lazing around the house - so it left him nude in no time.

And it was clear, too, that Nao was nervous about doing this. Woojin couldn't blame them. They were both still getting to know each other, but the chemistry was undeniable.

Woojin scooted past Nao to get in the shower. He brushed against them as he did. Was it necessary, letting his chest bump against their shoulder, or his hip against theirs? No, but it didn't stop him. Woojin stepped into the shower and held his hand out with a grin. "C'mon," he murmured, crooking his fingers. "Don't keep me waiting."

Kikunojo: Says she's a "woman at heart", which is a Japanese expression basically meaning she's a trans woman.

Kenji Hikiishi: Confirmed to be a trans woman.

Masaru "Chaplin" Sukegawa: A trans woman who started identifying and presenting femininely sometime before the start of the series. Is shown dealing with discrimination as a transgender inmate.

Aoi Futaba: A trans woman who started identifying and presenting femininely sometime before the start of the series. Repeatedly struggles to find a boyfriend who will accept her.

Nao: A trans woman who started identifying and presenting femininely sometime before the start of the series. Reveals this to the protagonist early in the story.

Claude de Montesse: The whole manga is about his life and struggles living as a trans man in early 20th century France.

"You can still go outside. What? You're gonna let a little rain stop you?" They teased. Though, of course, there were some situations when it was impossible to go out due to the weather, but it wasn't like that throughout the whole season. "I'd like to believe that there's no such thing as unhealthy food and to eat whatever you want as long as you don't go over the board with it. Some of my professors at my medical school might say otherwise, but hey, I won't become a doctor anyway; plus we only live once, might as well enjoy it."

"I'm not a big fan of autumn, I never see the fondness of rain and wind. I'd rather spend my time outside," Sungho joked as he walked along. Maybe it was because he already spent so many hours indoors in a dark room for his job that it was nice to step out and enjoy just a little sunlight. "Sure, sounds good. I screwed up my recording today, skipped lunch for it and why not make unhealthy food decisions with you," he bit his lip, trying not to smile too obviously to hint how he had no problem with that.
