Huh. That's strange. There was a stranger by a tree near their house. Glamouring up was definitely a right call, if their key companion nagging at them didn't already.

Gently going outside, a very human woman stepped out with a awkward but likely harmless person behind her.

"Hey there! Admiring the ocean view I see?"

The house was nearly against the beach. Maybe a few minutes walk but one could still smell the salt of the water.

"You're welcome to stay if you like, stranger. Just wanted to check in on you."

The other person that seemed nearly glued to the woman's hip was glaring at the intruder. Like they know something she doesn't.

Halsin ambled through the woods in his bear form. He had needed a break from the city even though he knew there was still much work to be done. The lack of nature and the confinement of the place were wearing on him however so he thought it best to give himself a little time and space to recenter himself.

And so, he was giving himself a single night to wander the woods outside the city. It was surprisingly peaceful given that the Absolute's army was on the way. Or at least it was until he heard someone or something moving nearby.

he'll never outrightly ask you what it is, not at the outset.

he might find you curled on the couch, quiet, trying to breathe out the something in your chest that writhes and constricts, or in tears, but he won't ask, only sit quietly with you, lean against you, the weight of him enough to reassure you of his presence. maybe you reach for him, curl into the hollow of his body, and he'll let you, hold you until the tears stop, or you can feel your hands again, or you fall asleep, to the steady rhythm of his heart.

you'll wake, or look at him, and he'll speak, then, maybe look back at you with those iridescent eyes that you love, as he asks, softly, if you're feeling better, if you want to talk about it.

he'll keep you company, either way, listening. there is a steadiness in the weight of his arms around you, in the even beat of his heart against your back. you'll have to move, eventually, one of your legs falling asleep under you, and you'll both laugh, and shift. he gently disentangles himself from you, to get you something to drink. you settle back down, curled around each other, talk quietly until the sunlight changes.

Ash received a message from the planet the Milan was berthed over. "Lord Finley, this is lord Zarath, I'd like to make use of your services." The voice was slightly sneering, exactly what you would expect of a noble on an important planet such as this.

Ash sighed the tone alone made him want to say no. This was exactly why he didn't usually stop by his more well off planets. He set a reply a few moments later. "What service exactly?"

Not to be a total asshole here but if I get one more "I need more! give me more!" comment on my Platonic Sugar Baby Buddie AU, it's going away. It has literally been two weeks since my last update, during which time I've been working on another fanfic, finishing up my second part-time job, working a full-time job, and being an adult with a full life.

I have never experienced this amount of whining in my entire time in this fandom and I can only presume that it's new people to the fandom who have an appalling lack of etiquette.

It's literally people just saying "give me more! I want more! hurry up!" And while none of you are at all entitled to my personal business, it sure doesn't help the depressive episode I'm in that y'all are doing this.

I love sharing my fics with you guys, and I love the enthusiasm and joy that you have for my writing. But the sudden influx of demands for sequels, for specific scenes in fics, unprompted fic, smut, and chapter suggestions, and now just outright demanding like a toddler for an update is disheartening, annoying, and the opposite of encouraging.

Please stop. Please. Please stop.

Arranged marriage zhuiling AU where instead of being arranged to marry each other, Jiang Cheng keeps trying to set Jin Ling up with random girls from other clans after Jin Ling mentions he’s interested in marrying ‘someone’ because he doesn’t know Jin Ling meant Lan Sizhui, so Jin Ling keeps doing the most ridiculously annoying and unappealing things to scare off every girl who comes to Koi Tower and Jiang Cheng is ripping his hair out because you little brat, you said you wanted to get married???

Eventually, both of them are so exhausted from the miscommunication that Jiang Cheng investigates and finally finds out what’s wrong, then tells Jin Ling he has one more potential spouse for him to meet. Jin Ling is a pouting lackluster mess over it until his entire world stops when the doors to Koi Tower open and Lan Sizhui walks through.

New Neighbor

Madison was traveling home that afternoon after closing down her coffee shop. She noticed the moving truck and then the other. She smiled a bright smile before making her way over to the other. "Are you moving across the street?" she asked and tilted her head, the smile never leaving her lips. "Does that make us new neighbors?" She was excited, bouncing slightly. "Pleased to meet you, I am Madison Mason, My sister and I live just there." She gestured to her home.

*yukino decided to pay a visit to Yuji seeing him with Megumi and Gojo as he snuck up behind him before jumping on his back, wrapping his arms around him from behind* "Hey Yuji, surprise seeing you strolling around here again"

Yuji was thinking about something but he then blinks to feel someone on his back. Both Gojo and Megumi looks seeing Yukino while Yuji laughed.

"Umm same for you too, Yukino." he said.
