THE NEW GATEWAY TOPPING-OFF CEREMONY
Araneta City, The City of Firsts, holds a ceremonial topping off for the much awaited expansion of its multi-awarded Gateway Mall, The New Gateway pn Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
The New Gateway is offering a total lifestyle  and community experience at the heart of Metro Manila. The eight-storey mall will complete  the revitalized Gateway Square-a mixed-use complex that features the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Novotel Manila, Gateway Tower, Paking Garage South Building, and the soon to open Ibis Style Hotel in an integrated development that provide synergies in shopping, dining, entertainment, hospitality, business and experiences all tied together by excellent connectivity and access.
Present at the topping-off ceremony Araneta City’s management Committee, management consultant Rowell Recinto, Megawide Construction Corporation Deputy Head for Construction  Engr. Frederick Tan, AVP for Operation Engr. Romeo Furigay, designer Rex Ocampo of Aidea Philippines  and AMCON construction managers led by Mr. Roy Racelis.
Also present at the ceremony are the reigning bb. Pilipinas Queens for 2019 led by Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados, Bb. Pilipinas International and Bb. Megawide Patch magtanong, bb. Supranational Resham Saeed, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Aya Abesamis, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Emma Mary Tiglao and Bb. Pilipinas Globe Leren Mae Bautista.
The New gateway Mall will also have 400 shops and more than 100 restaurants and food choices. The New Gateway will also feature 18 cinemas and a supermarket. Skybridges and foot paths will connect the mall to other areas of Gateway Square  and the Araneta City. Mall visitors will not find parking a problem, as the parking garage of Gateway Square will have 3,000 parking slots.
Araneta City, the home of the New Gateway is conveniently accessible from the metropolis’ main road arteries EDSA, Aurora Blvd., and P. Tuazon Blvd. in Quezon City and the MRT3 and LRT2 in addition, Araneta Cuty serves as a hub for other transport systems such as jeepney, UV express, provincial buses and airport shuttle services.
The New Gateway is expected to open its doors to the public on the last quarter of 2020.

Present during the special event are the executives of Megawide Construction Corporation led by their chairman and CEO Eng. Edgar Saavadra. Other officials from the company are Eng. Romeo Fungay AVP for Operations and Eng. Frederick Tan Deputy Head for Construction, Accor, the company that developed the Ibis Hotel brand is represented by Mr. Emmanuel Marion VP for Operations for Midscale and Economy Brands in various countries in Asia including the Philippines. Also in attendance Araneta City’s management consultant Mr. Rowell Recinto and principal design consultant Arch. Sudhakar Thakurdesal. Reigning Bb. Pilipinas queens also graced the topping-off ceremony with Bb. Pilipinas International and Bb. Pilipinas Megawide 2019 Atty. Patch Magtanong, Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados, Bb.
