i hope your blood is tested positive for revolution that your mother names you after a storm in her native tongue, the kind that makes colonizers fear the colonized, the kind that is noted in history for taking down oppressors the kind that gets tossed around in school yards by unsuspecting children who grow up and revere the very same name with pride i hope you grow into your warrior self with eyes wide and observant of the world so that one day when enough is enough you can raise your voice to lead all others who look like you, who talk like you, and who may as well have your name that you inspire honesty and truth and compassion with fists like grenades pumped up in the sky where they do not explode but rather chant their demands with sharp tongues cutting deep like razor wire weaved atop fences of all the places they tried to keep you out of so you can stay a prisoner only in the places they wished to keep you in for too long we have been told how we should feel and how we should love and how we should pray and who we should worship and when but east by any other name would still be where the sun rises and the truth is some facts remain unchanged throughout time no matter how much one may try to scrub them clean to resemble otherwise so before the dark descends and the teargas and bullets and violence erupt and the media blackouts ensue to keep your struggle away from the world i hope you pack enough courage for revolution because all of this may take a little while.

You all gave a burning building more energy, which I don't mind but you cannot ignore this inhumanity, this injustice being done to innocent men,women and children.

There you go. But to me, it doesn't only mean that. To me, it means that in the face of war and tyranny, we will not keep quiet and be afraid, we will stand with our Sudanese brothers and sisters and speak out.

I was lost between wanting to be dead with the rest on 3rd of June & drown in a flood of devastation & defeat. On 7th of June I got threats of getting detained by 3 men who were driving a car without a license number (clearly from NISS). They were and still trying to limit everyone’s contribution to the revolution, trying to frighten us the Youth for being the solid engine that is standing against their military rule.

Cutting off internet, practicing all kind of violations on streets (murder, rape, robbery..etc) are not stopping us. I am better after taking time off and back with a definitive state that we are never going silent again ✌🏾 The load is bigger now, more martyrs are depending on us. Our revolution continues, until we get their rights & our freedom.

الحصل لينا يوم المجزرة كان عبارة عن رحلة بشعة. كنتا رايحة بين انو كان نفسي اموت مع الباقين يوم ٣ يونيو و بين الغرق في فيضان من الإحباط و الفشل. يوم ٧ يونيو جاتني تهديدات بالاعتقال من قبل ٣ امنجية كانو سايقين بوكس من غير لوحات. المجلس بحاول يخوف في اى زول علشان الحراك يقل وبهدد فينا الشباب علشان بالنسبة ليهم اقوى محرك للثورة و ضد بقأهم في السلطة. الثورة مستمرة. انا احسن الان ورجعتا بإصرار أقوى أنو ما حنسكت تاني مهما حصل. شهدائنا الفقدوا الروح اكتر حسي و كلهم منتظرننا علشان نكمل المشوار. ثورة حتى ال��صر ✌🏾

If you don’t know what’s happening in Sudan, it’s time to educated yourself and start caring.

There is an internet blackout going on in Sudan to silence protestors and attempt to keep the violence that is taking place out of international attention. They are trying to hide the truth. With a rising death toll into the hundreds, and mass amounts of rapes taking place, we have a responsibility to care and at least spread the word. The people of Sudan simply want freedom and to live with human rights.

Do your part, educate yourselves, and simply show compassion and care. It’s the very least we can do.
