Name: Pyroclasmic Slooch (Sulucina vulcanis)
Debut: Pikmin 3
I think Pyroclasmic Slooch has one of the best names of any Pikmin creature! This is the one I break out if I ever need to explain what a Pikmin name feels like. A large scientific jargon-y sounding word, followed by a single silly little syllable it's perfect! And it IS meaningful, because Pyroclasmic is only one letter away from Pyroclastic, as in pyroclastic flow, a hot volcanic gas/rock current. And Slooch is just, look at this thing! It's what "slooch" looks like! Both as a noun AND a verb!
Fire in video game and monster design is usually pretty boring to me, just for how common it is. I get it, since it is pretty much the most "yeowch! don't touch" thing everyone is familiar with, but I have had enough of Charizardlikes bloating my media! Thank goodness, then, for Pikmin, which implements "conventional" elemental properties into fun, pseudoscientific speculative creatures! It may often be a big load of nonsense, but they explain the nonsense so confidently. Yeah alright. Whatever you say! Maybe a slug could be on fire.
Tumblr media
Hello Slooch! What a nice smile you have, framed by your oral tentacles! I wonder if Pyroclasmic Slooch's eyes are useful at all. A regular slug's eyes are mostly just for sensing light and dark, but that doesn't seem practical for a creature that makes its own light that would constantly be in view! Just to be safe, you should give this Slooch a thumbs up, in case it can indeed see you! (computer screen is a real portal to another world where pretend creatures live)
So yeah, Pyroclasmic Slooch is a slug on fire, or maybe a snail whose shell IS fire. It doesn't really matter, either way, the DESIGN is fire! The vibrant orangish stripes on its black body evoke flowing and cooling lava! Lava joke: I bet it was a real "aa moment" when they came up with that design quirk!
Tumblr media
As much as I love Pyroclasmic Slooch, it is a wild animal! And it will try to eat the min that you picked, with its funny blue tongue! Louie, everyone's favorite menace Louie, recommends cooking this tongue and no other part of the creature. Would You Eat? I wouldn't, but I wouldn't judge you for doing it. If you have plenty of Red Pikmin, though, their fire immunity makes Slooches very easy to deal with.
You know, real slugs like mold! Do you think Pyroclasmic Slooch likes mold? Maybe it could be friends, with mold. Let's introduce them!
Tumblr media
Name: Moldy Slooch (Parasitus pseudofungi elasticis hostus)
Debut: Pikmin 4
Hooray! Now they're inseparable! You may notice that Moldy Slooch's scientific name differs greatly from that of Pyroclasmic Slooch, and that is because the Slooch is no longer in control. It is being puppeted by a fungus! Its nervous system and slime organs have been entirely taken over. Isn't that nice? Now the Slooch doesn't have to do any work, because the fungus does all of that for it! This slug can just relax for the rest of its life, because it is not dead! A dried-up corpse wouldn't be useful a very good friend, would it? In fact, if the Moldy Slooch does die, it can be instantly revived by a phallic, yet kindly Toxstool! The gift of eternal life!
Moldy Slooch's description by Dalmo (the animal enthusiast who could have been writing for this blog the whole time and you would be none the wiser includes the incredible line "Slugga slugga choo choo! Here comes the fungal spore train." So fun! Whee! I want to ride the train!
Moldy Slooch is really the best friend someone could ask for. After I met it in person, and it introduced me to Toxstool, I've never felt better! So what are you waiting for, fellow living animals? Come visit our damp cave sometime! You are always welcome :)

*taps the mic and laughs nervously because of the major stage fright*
Lizzington shippers, fam, grandmas and grandpas, can I have a moment of your attention, please?
It's not a secret that, while some people in Lizzington community are still active, whether they write or make gifs or keep our dash full of Lizzington even in this trying times ( @melbob26-blog, thank you for this! ), Lizzington community as a whole went into hibernation over the last couple of years.
And I get it, interests change, especially when one show ends and there's another ongoing, moving on from the show that ended is totally natural, especially when it didn't give your favorite characters the happy ending they deserved.
I get it.
Hell, for a pretty lengthy while there I focused on other ships and shows, too, especially after TBL ended ended last year.
But you know what I realized earlier today, when I reread some of the old fics, browsed through gifsets and text posts, watched some fanvids?
It's the show that ended, for some in 2021, for others in 2023. And the only thing that means is that it cannot disappoint us anymore.
( it's not like we were suddenly deprived of quality content, because let's face it, the fans have been the main source of the quality lizzington content for years now, while the show gave us mere crumbs, on a good day )
But Red and Liz?
They are still out there, fighting criminals, catching Blacklisters, travelling the world, shamelessly flirting, toppling shadow organizations, raising Agnes and/or any other children they have, and generally being the sexy badass power couple they are!
Nothing changed in that regard.
So why would we mourn them, when they are out there, healthy and happy and in the middle of yet another adventure? I'm sure right this moment Red is drawing Liz into another one of his heists and she's only too happy to join him, even though she pretends that she's not, for the sake of the game.
There's literally no reason for us to stop writing, giffing, editing, sharing theories and headcanons and memes and just talking about our favorite couple.
And by writing all of this, I want to propose something daring to you:
Let's revive the Lizzington community!
Let's rewatch earlier seasons and gif the hell out of them because it's been a while and because precious moments between these two are not going to become less precious even if it's giffed 10 or 100 more times, not to mention that ever gifmaker's style is different, so there are virtually no two identical gifsets as there are no two identical snow flakes.
Let's make fanvideos, picspams, picture edits, fanart, moodboards! The amount of songs, quotes, moments etc that can inspire you is virtually endless!
Let's write fics, let's explore AUs, let's give each other prompts and challenge each other to try something new or practice some aspect of writing, like writing kisses or AUs or hugs or making up Blacklisters etc!
Let's share headcanons and theories and ideas and what our versions of Red and Liz are like, because everyone has their own unique versions of Red and Liz living in their head, and it's just beautiful, if you ask me!
Let's reblog stuff, filling each other's dashes with Lizzington!
Let's scream about Lizzington because no one does it like them!
Let's revive the Lizzington Community, we all miss it!
PS. Feel free to reblog this post – spread the suggestion!)
PPS. To assure you that I'm not the type of person who encourages others but doesn't do anything themselves, I can tell you I've already got some ideas for a couple of Lizzington events in mind. Those include challenges, thematic weeks etc.
PPPS. I'm not sure how many people are checking the tags these days, so I'm gonna tag some people I know under the cut, just in case, to spread the suggestion. If you weren't tagged, trust me, it's nothing personal!

Les Mis adaptations and apolitical appropriation
I think it's no secret on this blog that I love the original Les Mis 1980 concept album in French, and that I also love comparing different versions of the stage musical. I've noticed that Les Mis seems to get progressively more vaguely apolitical as time goes on, not only in the way it's viewed in our culture, but in the actual text as well.
It's natural for specifics to be lost in adaptation. It's easier to get people to care about 'the people vs. the king' in a relatively short musical rather than actually facing the audience with the absolute mess that were 19th century french politics (monarchist orleanists vs monarchist legitimists vs imperialist vs bonapartist democrats vs every flavour of republican imaginable). Still, I feel that as time goes on, as more revivals and adaptations of the stage musical come out, the more watered down its politics become. Like, Les Mis at it's core is just meant to be a fancily written, drawn out political essay, right?
In a way I feel that the 1980 concept album almost tried to modernise it with its symbols of progress. Yes, through Enjolras' infamous disco segment (and other similar allusions to the ideals of social change), but perhaps most interestingly to me, through one short line that threw me off when I first heard it, because it seems so insignificant, but might actually be the most explicitly leftist line of all of Les Mis.
"Son coeur vibrait à gauche et il le proclama" (roughly "His heart beat to the left and he proclaimed it" i.e: he was a leftist) Feuilly says, while speaking of the now dead général Lamarque in Les Amis de L'ABC.
What's that? An actual mention of leftism??? in MY vaguely progressive yet apolitical musical??? More seriously, this mention of leftism, clashing with the rest of the musical due to it's seeming anachronism, is interesting not because it's actually more political than anything else in Les Mis, rather, because it's not scared to explicitly name what it's trying to do.
But we've come a long way from the Concept Album days, it's been 43 years, and Les Misérables is now one of the most famous and beloved musicals in the entire world. It's been revived and reimagined and adapted in a million ways, in different mediums, in different languages and countries, and it's clear that it's changed along with it's audience.
On top of pointing out a cool line in my favourite version of the musical, I wanted to write this post to reflect on the perception of the political message of this work. We as a Les Mis fandom on Tumblr are very political, I don't need to tell you that, however, I feel that because this very left leaning space has sprung out of a work we all love so much, we oftentimes forget to revisit it from a more objective point of view.
Les Misérables has a history of being misrepresented, this has been true since it's publication, since american confederate soldiers became entranced with their censored translation Lee's Miserables. However, with it's musical adaptation, this misinterpretation has been made not only more accessible but also easier. As much as I love musical theatre and I think it is at it's best an incredible art form able to communicate complex themes visulally by the masses for the masses, I think it'd be idealistic to ignore the fact that the people who can afford to go see musicals regularly are, usually, not the common folk. Broadway and the West End are industries which, like most, need money to keep them afloat, and are loved people of all political backgrounds (and unfortunately, often older conservatives) not just communists on tumblr. We've seen the way Les Miz UK's social media team constantly misses the mark regarding different social issues, and the way Cameron Makintosh has used the musical to propagate his transphobia, and most of us can agree that these actions are in complete antithesis with the message of Les Misérables as a novel.
But I must ask, how does Les Mis ,as a West End musical in it's current form, actually drive a leftist message, and how are we as a community helping if every time someone relating to the musical messes up if we just claim they "don't get it"?
I'm thinking in particular of incidents like last october, where Just Stop Oil crashed Les Mis at the West End. Whether you think it's good activism or not is not the question I think, this instance is interesting particularly because it shows that, outside of Les Misérables analysis circles and fandom spaces, it is not recognised as an inherently leftist, political or activist work, and instead of just saying they completely missed the point of the musical, I think it'd be interesting to take a step back and look at what the musical as it stands actually represents in our culture today.
I don't pretend to have all the answers, so I won't try to give one, but I do hope we can reflect on this a bit.

Hi there! I've recently taken more of an interest in Hellenism, but I don't at all know where to start. I've never really been religious before, only really knowing the basics of Christianity. I did see you created a post of advice for beginner Hellenists, but I was wondering, if it's not too much trouble, if you had any additional information for someone like me who's just starting out.
Hello anon! Sorry for how long it took to write this up, I definitely went a little bit wild on this one :)
First off, welcome to Hellenic Polytheism! It's definitely a wild ride, but depending on what sect of Christianity you come from, it's not completely and totally foreign.
Starting off with a list of some websites, general resources, and accounts that I have found helpful:
theoi.com
Apostolos Athanassakis translations of the Orphic and Homeric Hymns
Hellenic Polytheism: Household Worship by Labrys
Hellenion.org
@khaire-traveler's Subtle Worship Master List
@thegrapeandthefig's Wordpress
And now breaking them all down, because I love when people justify their choices to me :)
theoi.com The nice thing about this website is that it's about as much information about the Gods as you can possibly want in one place. Not only does it seemingly have just about every possible deity in the Greek pantheon, but it has an incredibly good collection of historical references, family trees, and even artwork from ancient Greece.
Apostolos Athanassakis translations While theoi.com is good, I'm not the biggest fan of the version of the translations that they use for the Orphic and Homeric Hymns - they're a bit too "translated" for me. This meaning that the translations in question don't sit too close to the original text, and in my opinion, if you're trying to understand a deity through some ancient work, you want to get the closest translation to the original, even if that means sacrificing some of the flowery language. And Athanassakis' translations are some of my favorite for those "close translation" hymns. You can find his work on the Internet Archives.
Hellenic Polytheism: Household Worship I think this is one of those staples that every Hellenic Polytheist should take a look at at least once. It's pretty dry, but within it, there are plenty of rituals and general information on Hellenism as a religion. I don't use most of the rituals in it, but even still, I keep a copy on hand for the future when I'm able to practice more freely.
Hellenion.org This is a pretty good resource for more modern Hellenic Polytheist prayers, as well as rituals. This is a more heavy reconstructionist lean (which focuses on an accurate recreation of Hellenic Polytheism, as opposed to revivalism, which focuses on recreating it for the modern day), but still incredibly helpful, and a bit easier to understand than Hellenic Polytheism: Household Worship.
@khaire-traveler's subtle worship masterlist Honestly, if a resource like this existed when I was first starting out, I would be light years ahead of where I am now. Stag has managed to fit just about every idea you'd need to get started with worship/offerings into an easy-to-digest format, and I find myself going back to it time and time again when I start incorporating a new deity into my practice.
@thegrapeandthefig's Wordpress I don't even think I could summarize how amazing Aurora is into one little paragraph. There's everything on her Wordpress from historical offerings, to modern festivals, to dissections of various ancient customs. One of the things which has helped me the most from her blog has been her Attic calendar, which shows the schedule of the various religious observations throughout the year (and there are a lot).
Finally, a few extra words of advice that I might not have included in my original post that you mentioned in the ask:
Try to have one prayer memorized for each deity, if you're easily able to memorize things. Chances are, after about a year or so, you'll probably have a prayer or two that you really like and will have memorized because you've said it enough (I definitely have my fair share). And there's definitely something nice about finding yourself in a situation that reminds you of your deity and being able to just rattle off a prayer.
Try to avoid TikTok for your spiritual knowledge. But, if you want to add a bit of Hellenic flair to your FYP, I'd recommend Bria Melitta and hesiodic (who's also on here and maybe on TikTok as well [I might be wrong, haven't been on TikTok in a hot minute] under the name @olympianbutch). Both of these creators are really good, and I especially love Dagan for his devotion to Zeus, who often gets a bad rap from new practitioners because of behavior attributed to Him in myths.
Other than the resources I mentioned, some good stuff for casual reading would be: the Iliad and the Odyssey, any ancient Greek plays (I'd recommend starting with Aristophanes, if the tragedies are a bit too heavy), and Hesiod's Theogony.
And that's about all I can possibly think of throwing at you right now! I hope this came in handy, and as always, if you have more questions, please feel free to drop more in my ask box :) I'm always more than happy to answer questions and help to the best of my ability!

first of all, i wanna go ahead anf praise your art for the millionth time because holy shit it is so amazing. idk what kinda crack you put in your colouring or artstyle but im eating it UP!!! i especially love all the detail you put into your designs, its amazing SECONDLYY!!!! I see the daau starting to form a bit more and i was wondering if i would be allowed to make a story/fanfic based off of your art so far?
AAAAA THANK YOU SM AND ALSO YES! ABSOLUTELY.
Daau is actually an older au I've already talked about a lot last year on my blog but I'm sorta reviving it and kinda redoing it?
But if you want more about the au I have plenty of thoughts.
Scars planet is gone. It literally fell apart. Everyone was being evacuated but scar got left behind because he was trying to find jellie. Jellie looks mostly like a cat but has 6 legs.
Scar gets to where everyone was supposed to be only to find everyone gone already. They were already evacuated and he got left behind. This happens when he's around his teenage years so he's still a kid basically.
There is an emergency button if I remember correctly and he uses it to let someone know he's still there. He doesn't expect anyone to come find him but he tries anyway.
Xisuma, one of the people helping Scars species evacuate the planet does see the signal and decides to go back himself to get whoever got left behind.
Scar gets saved by X and later joins hermitcraft when X gives him the offer. (Dadsuma to the rescue)
Scars planet was very hot and it was mostly just a desert planet. Lots of sand, not much plants or water.
Scar is covered by hard scales to protect him from the sun and even the rough sand.
His hands are rough as is most of his fur except the short fur covering his stomach
Tumblr media
His species are omnivores- theres not much food to find in the desert anyway so he can't really be picky. He does love bugs and since he's been on hermitcraft he loves fruit and candy.
In the original au there was some hermitshipping which I'm kinda avoiding in this version (still love the original au tho ofc) because aroace scar rjgkkge
While he loves hermitcraft and considers it his home and the hermits his family he still misses his actual home where he grew up. Hermitcraft is always cold for him. Even when he sees the other hermits sweating and complaining how hot it is he's reminded that he's not supposed to live here at all. The sun feels nice on his scales and his skin but it's not the same heat as on his planet.
He does like the nether. It's warm. He also likes deserts even if they're not as warm as his desert was.
His 4 ears. The bottom set of ears is not out most times. Usually the ears show only when he's cuddling with someone and feels really safe and relaxed.
Also he's cold blooded.
That's all my thoughts for now but I can come back with more I think

Hello there!
I bet you didn't expect to see something from this very dead blog today, huh? Anyways, It's been... a really long time... like over a year and half worth of time. So we're well overdue for an update!
(tl;dr at the end)
I'll just start with some honesty on my part, when Mod Prom asked me to help them revive this blog the first time, I had just played V3. A lot of the plot points and minor details were still pretty fresh in my mind, and writing what amounted to a full retelling from a different perspective, felt more doable. Now it's been a few years, a lot of life, and I'd be hard pressed to remember V3 clearly. I've tried to start a second playthrough, and I've tried to watch let's plays for chapter 2 to write more for the blog, but none of it has been successful.
and BELIEVE ME I've been wanting to start this blog up again for MONTHS. In fact, I've had 4 posts READY to release since March of this year, and at least 8 posts drafted and thumbnailed. I just... didn't want to bring this project back until I knew I could actually commit to it. I thought maybe if I had enough of a backlog I could simply start posting once a week and try to keep pace, but that was a lot harder than it sounded.
I don't want to abandon this blog, this story and these characters, and I don't think I can properly put into words how strongly I feel about that.
This is update could have happened at any time, but is coming out now because well... me and Prom are working on some bigger original projects. Ones that we're SO excited to share. This blog in it's limited run has taught me a lot and I want to learn more. I want to be able to bring this project to a more natural conclusion, put it to rest with pride, and to be able to enter a bit of a new creative era.
I've been talking with Mod Prom and we think it's best to take a step back from this actually being an ask blog. Handling the inbox was a bit of a nightmare, and I've got a LOT more respect for the ask blogs of yore that managed to keep up. We still want to keep engagement, but we're going to change just how that works. We're just not sure how yet.
The first step to getting started again is posting the drafts I already have completed as a way to enter the second chapter, and from there things are going to play out a bit more loosely. Posts are gonna focus more on key story beats and occasional goofy tangents as opposed to moment to moment storytelling.
TL;DR - This blog is getting revived, but things are going to be a bit different. We want to give a proper telling and conclusion to the story we started, but keeping up the format isn't something Mod Prom or I can really tackle, we'll still try to accept and post asks when we can.
Thank you to everyone that has been patient with us, and to everyone who might join us in the future
~ Mod Noodle 🌱

So yesterday, July 27th 2024, I had this random urge of downloading tumblr, rediscovering my account. Since I didn't even remember I had an account, I had to request a new password, leading me to my old hotmail outlook so I could change it. To my surprise I found not 1, but 2 emails from Tumblr; a recent one requesting the password change and one sent earlier at 15:27 stating: "PANDORA turns 12 years old today!".
At first glance I was confused since I knew "Pandora" was the name I gave to my alter ego when I was a teen, but I didn't remember anything about this old tumblr account of mine, at all.
Apparently, part of me (Pandora, perhaps?) did remember though, since I just happened to log back into my dead tumblr exactly on its 12th anniversary, unbeknownst to me, and stumbled upon my old posts, pictures, scattered thoughts, narrow interests of that time... and upon the "#2014 revival" hashtags and blogs, which has surprisingly awakened a spark of nostalgia to my 2014 days...
I never really used tumblr that much even back then (as you can see if you look through my blog) and I highly doubt anyone will read this, but I thought stumbling upon my old blog on its anniversary and revisiting the sh*tposting of my younger self seemed like such a fated thing that I've decided it was worth writing about it and the feelings and thoughts it has evoked in me so that when 12 years from now I remember tumblr again I get to see a glimpse of yet another version of myself through the years.
Although I am a completely different person now (or perhaps, just a different version of the same person) and everything has changed so much, inside and out, I think I'm finally able of doing what 2014 me couldn't do and reconcile all parts of me, both good and bad, dark, light and even grey, and leave this blog up just as it was, even though I don't relate to past me anymore, because I guess she's still part of me somehow and I'm not ashamed of her the way she used to be.
And maybe even... with this whole 2014 nostalgia, looking back at my own picture and remembering those times... I might as well try to relive the blog to further feed into the nostalgia. Oh, to be 16 again, listening to the Arctic Monkeys and taking soft grunge/tumblr aesthetic photos as I changed my hair color every other week... Such a time of my life I truly thought I would never really miss but I guess it's already been long enough by now that it is worth the nostalgia!

I love the way you wrote the latest chapter. It feels less like Eren and Zeke are being judged by gods, and more like the AOT fans are finally giving these two self-righteous idiots a piece of their mind. It's very satisfying!
Tumblr media
Despite me liking Attack on Titan, I still have quite a few issues with it, and I've said it quite a few times, either on Ao3 or on this blog. One of the major things being season 4 was rushed and because it was rushed, there were many character moments and build up that Isayama completely missed out on, like the Marleyans and their dynamics or Eren's descent into madness. I think that an extra season would have help a lot of the stuff that Isayama intended for season 4.
That being said:
I've have to really break down, edit and rewrite Primus' interactions with Zeke and Eren multiple times, and I'll elaborate on that in an AOP alternate scene. Primus has also withheld his identity from Eren and Zeke in order to determine their character. If Primus had said that he's Optimus' god, obviously they're going to treat him differently and hide stuff from him, so keeping his origins a secret benefitted him long term. And he was glad that he did considering what he ends up learning about the brothers.
So when Primus does confront them with his identity revealed, he's really just watching them scramble trying to come up with excuses for their plans. Both involve genocide, which he obviously doesn't agree with as a being of creation, which is why Primus removes Zeke's ability to communicate with Ymir, both as a punishment for his crimes, and so he doesn't enact his plan.
Still, Primus does feel pity for Zeke, understands his plight, and considering the other alternative being Eren's plan, he does believe Zeke's plan is the better option. Zeke's plan doesn't kill off the current living Eldians. It just stops them from having children. Which is still a genocide, the Eldian people will die out, but it's a small price to pay for the future of the AOT world. However Primus has seen Zeke show no remorse in his actions when it came to killing for Marley's empire and didn't truly value life and the actual points of living. Zeke's plan simply reflected a deep-seated issue within himself: that he just wanted to die.
However, there's also the issue of Zeke not getting the actual results he wants with his plan, because people are going to be people and will abuse power. From a historical standpoint, I don't think that Zeke's plan would have achieved world peace. It simply would have caused a power vacuum that would have been replaced by another, possibly crueler, power.
Now, I know that people bag on Zeke a lot, and I've done that too, but Zeke has still been dealt a really bad hand, and that is something I have to acknowledge. Zeke's ultimate purpose in living essentially boiled down to wanting to die while also fulfilling Ksaver's plan. But because Primus told and showed him that his future was not possible, he loses any real will to live. At least that's how I saw it, especially since in the main AOT timeline, Zeke didn't really fight his way out of the Paths and made sandcastles until Armin showed up. Zeke had to really be broken down emotionally in order for Primus to consider him a non-threat, and all he had to do was show Zeke the futility of his plans.
Eren however-!
So imagine this from Primus' perspective: you wake up after the war is over and have been revived. You hear a cry from across the universe in an alternate dimension and go searching for it in said alternate dimension. You travel through years worth of memories without having the ability to really interact with the outside world. But then a miracle happens: you meet two humans that can see you completely! One of them is wary of him, but the other is willing to speak with him. He's rather quiet, but he's polite and considerate or Primus' situation. The two even bond for about seven years of searching through Grisha's memories, so much so that Primus even reveals his name to Eren.
But then Primus finds out that Eren had been withholding information that he clearly knew, actively attacked him with he tried to create a peaceful solution, and spoke of his disciple, Optimus, in such a vile and twisted manner even though Optimus wasn't supposed to be here in the first place. And then you find out, through searching through memories, much to the behest of the Primes to not do that, that this teenager not only wants to destroy the world, but kills one of your very first creations in the process.
Obviously, Primus is very pissed off at Eren more than he is at Zeke.
One of the few things that genuinely frustrated me when the final manga chapter of AOT came out was that Eren's friends were still treating him with kindness, respect, and even love, even though he tried to kill them and wiped out 80% of humanity. Eren destroyed the world and put many survivors of the massacre in desolate situations. The anime does improve on this a little bit, with Armin having a much more visceral reaction to being told that 80% of humanity is dead. However, what Eren did was genocide to a massive degree, and it clearly wasn't to protect his friends or even the island. It was for his own selfish gain of fulfilling a wish that never really existed. I implore you to watch this video:
youtube
Because it provides a really great breakdown of Eren's overall character which is that his main, selfish, desire, is freedom, and he will do everything and anything to get it. Even if it meant his friends and family got caught in the crossfires, even if he understood the struggles of the Eldians outside of the walls, he rejected all of that in order to fulfill his selfish wish.
And this breakdown really helped me write Eren's interactions with Primus a lot more fluidly. Because Primus has seen the goodness within Eren. He knows the good things that Eren is capable of doing, so he's so confused as to why Eren devolved into madness and death in such a short amount of time in his eyes. Primus brings up the fall of Shinganshina and the death of his mother, but Primus knows deep down that doesn't address the issue of Eren's motivation. He feels as though it is something else. So he brings up his friends, Armin, Mikasa, and Optimus to try and figure out the underlying issue. (I'll also break down the Prime voices in another ask and how each of them, and Primus, react to Eren's answers because that deserves it's own post). But Primus just sees Eren dodging the question, refusing to stand down when it came to the concern and safety of the people he cared about. He justifies his actions as protecting them, but Primus knows that none of them wanted this.
It's only when Primus threatens Eren's freedom that Eren confesses his truth:
“I WON’T LET YOU! THAT FREEDOM IS MINE!” Eren screamed in anger, “AND THE WORLD KEEPS TRYING TO TAKE IT! THE OUTSIDE WORLD IS JUST LIKE HUMANITY IN THE WALLS! THE WORLDS BEYOND IT ARE ALL JUST THE SAME! I HATE IT! WHAT’S THE POINT OF ANY OF IT?! EVERYONE IS JUST SELFISH AND I JUST WANT TO SEE IT GONE!”
Eren just wants to see the world burn and achieve the freedom he so desired as a child, and Primus reacts appropriately by calling him out for his childishness and nearly ends his life over it. Because like the video said, Eren hasn't grown or changed. He's rejected the growth that's he's been confronted with and has always been the same person since season 1.
There's a lot more that I can talk about, and this definitely feels like it's me rambling. I'm certain I did repeat some points. However, I don't mind asks regarding chapter 90 and 91 because I really want to provide my breakdowns even further on the topics and ideas I've had.

I know I'm posting a day late here, but Happy Birthday Bendy! February 10th, 2024 marks the 7 year anniversary of when Bendy and the Ink Machine came out. And boy, has it been a wild ride. Normally I would reserve this for my Bendy sideblog, @angelofthepage , but I'm posting it here because this is where I started years ago, and I want some of those people who don't see that blog to have a chance to see this. Because you guys are a part of this story.
In about three months, seven years ago, I was in finals hell, working through my process book for my packaging design class in one of the dorm lounges while my roommate had taken the room for herself again. And the only thing keeping me sane was putting Can't Be Erased and Build Our Machine on loop as I worked. BATIM only had two chapters out, and I didn't know everything about it, but I was so intrigued by what its deal was. I took one look at Sammy Lawrence and I wanted to know everything about him. Something about this barely started game, the idea of your characters coming to life to kill you, it thrilled me, intrigued me. It was something I was really afraid of, being so attached to my characters and putting so much of my identity in my art. And while the story isn't really all that much about cartoons themselves being alive, it gave me something else that ended up changing my life.
Over that summer, I would become obsessed, and for the first time in years, I let myself be a fangirl again. And maybe one day I'll pull up the timeline and tell you how it all went down. But right now, after all the celebrating of yesterday, I just wanna take a moment to appreciate the last seven years. All the people I've met, all the friends I've made. All the experiences we've had together, big and small. Some have been incredibly close, and others have been people I still smile about whenever I see them on my feed, even if we're not all doing stuff in the same fandom anymore. There's some people I've fallen out of touch with that I likely won't ever see again that I miss. There's some I'll be lucky if I never see again. There's the official voice actors for Dark Revival, which I've had the pleasure of working with on community things here in the fandom. I regularly moderate their livestreams (or Lovestreams as we call them) where they sign prints and interact with us fans (and sometimes I'm tech support, once an ink machine technician, always an ink machine technician xD). I'm honored to call a lot of them my friends, we've had some truly wonderful conversations. I've spent a lot of time in a variety of servers, trying to uplift people and make for a positive fandom experience for everyone, fans old and new. Sometimes it lands me in interesting places, like helping out over on the Inky News channel. The host, Brandon, invited me over to guest star on his anniversary stream yesterday, and in the past I've been fortunate enough to showcase my art on two of his interviews, one with Dave Rivas and one with Adrienne Kress. Sometimes it lands me on fun projects, like working on a fan game, and for the first time it's not as a voice actor! I'm a writer. I've had my work uplifted in turn too, meeting people who value me for me and also cheer me on when I try new things (sometimes entirely new mediums like doll customizing). I got my first helpful constructive critique in this fandom, and it was something I ASKED for. That is a huge personal milestone! I have a really complex and twisty set of feelings about critique, and finally, I feel better, because someone helped me start to unravel that just by being themselves and being thoughtful. It's inspired me to want to be better in how I handle critique and problem solving with others.
I spent so much of my life putting my self worth in other people's hands. I thought I would never be good enough to have friends who didn't treat me like garbage. I thought I'd never be a good artist in any sense of the word either. But I was wrong. I've grown. I'm valued, I'm wanted. I don't have to hide parts of myself to be desirable. Sometimes being the silly, goofy, fangirl that is Kat is enough. My art is enough, my ideas are enough, my flavor is tasty, and I am a goddamn treat. And after so many years of not knowing that, I'm glad I finally do. And it's all because of the people. It wasn't ever that my flavor was bad, it's that I hadn't found people with a taste for it yet. Bendy's greatest gift was giving me a fresh start, a chance to meet new people, good people, and for that, I'm forever grateful. Even though things have changed, I'm glad I met each and every one of you, you all taught me something valuable along the way, and I think about those experiences we shared often.
I won't lie to you, I've been rather frustrated with Bendy lately. And I think a lot of it has to do with the games not truly having grown with me. At some point our paths deviated, and there are elements of what's come and what's coming that are getting away from what really enticed me about the very first entry, the things I valued most in it. But in some ways, analyzing that has led me to figure out what made that first game so special. It was human. It was a character focused game, and each of the characters, while vague, gave us just enough about themselves that we could feel for them, get invested, imagine, maybe even sympathize. Everyone is a tragedy, but they're all different flavors of tragedy. And it was seeing people explore that, seeing people write these characters in ways that were so human, that really built a connection. For some people, Bendy is another indie horror experience. For others, it's something to indulge in that hits hard on a personal level. In many ways, it attracts a lot of us who feel like misfits. It's many things. But to me, the magic was in the people. The people in this universe, and the people in its real world community.
It has solidified my belief that people should play with fiction however they want, no matter how far it deviates from the canon, no matter how weird it is. Go be interpretive, go tell your story, go be free to make what speaks to you! (All I ask is that you're thoughtful about tagging it so people can make smart choices about engaging with it.) All stories are worth telling. Even if no one gets into it, having told it makes a difference.
Whether you're someone who's been there from the beginning, or someone that's new to Bendy, I hope you're all having fun. Whether you've finished exploring the world or you've just begun, I hope you've found something valuable. Thank you, for coming along for the ride. Here's to many more fun experiences and stories, be they official or be they in the fandom. Happy Bendyversary!

Yokosuka Ghibli Edition Part 2!〜A Ramune, a Bathhouse Aburaya and a Sports Competition〜
As mentioned in my last blog post, my friend and I went to see the “Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition”. We were so engrossed by everything in the exhibition that we didn't notice we were thirsty💦 When we left the museum and took a little breather, we finally realised how incredibly thirsty we were!! We saw some Ramune being sold outside the museum and were immediately drawn to it🌊 It's been a while since I've had Ramune~♪ Cold Ramune!! When I was drinking it, it made me feel like I was part of a TV commercial for Pocari Sweat. "Hiyaaaaaaah~ I feel so revived". Ramune has never tasted better than on that day...Just imagine, sitting under the blue sky, a fizzy Ramune quenching your thirst and soothing your dry throat...it was too good... Everyone, please try it as well..😭✨
Hello, this is Wakana (0 ̄▽ ̄0)/
This time, I'll share "Yokosuka Ghibli Edition - Part 2" with you\\\\٩( 'ω' )و ////! After leaving Yokosuka Museum of Art we hurried to Mikasa Terminal. My friend needed to run some errands in the afternoon so we had to part ways early...😭 She was also really looking forward to going to Sarushima so we are planning to come back someday soon✨
Now, this is what Mikasa Terminal looked like. Look at this huge banner for the "Bathhouse Aburaya Annex" When I went inside, the Ōtori-Sama were taking a bath🐤🐤🐤 There were no other visitors, so I asked the staff to take a picture for me🤗 (=> a picture of a woman traveling alone who also happens to be a hardcore Ghibli fan.) Next up you were able to play a Spirited Away AR game by holding onto the iPad that was installed in front of the big bathtub. When you look through the screen, some images will appear. (At one point, a note appeared which seemed to have been issued by Kamaji, when I clicked on it hot water came was splashing on the screen.) You have up to ten chances to take a picture! When No-Face suddenly appeared from afar, I was really surprised and took multiple photos! (Here are all the photos I took with the iPad. I was able to download them later) Anyway, it was a lot of fun 😂
After that, I went up to the second floor. Wow, it really did look like a bathhouse! Oshira-sama was not on the elevator with me. On the second floor, there was something called a "No-Face AR" but... I didn't really get how it was supposed to work *laughs* Initially, I thought I could become No-Face and control the images on the screen with my movements but that wasn't the case. I just watched money overflow endlessly from No-Face's hands and tried to scoop it up with my arms 😂 There was so much money... 🤣 (Maybe it wasn't that exciting because I had no one there with me)
Once I was finished there, I went to Sarushima but since this is the final part of me writing about my Ghibli adventures, I'd like to briefly share some photos of the stamp rally I did when I came back from Sarushima 😊Please forgive me, from here on out it's just a picture spam of me working hard to finish the stamp rally 😂😂 Thank you for your understanding 😂 First of all, I got the cardboard for the stamps at the Yokosuka Museum of Art!! ! Look! I was able to collect four stamps in total thanks to my willpower. Although I had collected the stamps, I didn't have the time or energy to go back to the place where I could get my prize stickers😂 It was too much to do in one day~🫠 It's a pretty large area😇 I got the first stamp at Mikasa Terminal! The second one was at Ichigo Yokosuka Port Market! It's pretty close to the terminal. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops in the large facility.😊I wanted to do one more stamp so I decided to take a short break. I had some cider😂 My energy was restored in just five minutes so I hurried to the next location! There it is😊 At Lawson😊 At that point, I was suddenly overcome with a mysterious fighting spirit that said, "you've come this far, you have to get another stamp!" Ignoring my exhaustion, I went to a final location. Here it is😊 MORE'S CITY at Yokosuka Chuo Station! Thank you, Chihiro, for waiting for me...😭✨ This felt like a true sports competition🤣🤣 I made it to the finish line safely!! But I felt completely drained on my way home😇
Al right, that's officially a wrap for "Yokosuka Ghibli Part 2"! I actually have a lot more photos from the Ghibli exhibition😂But I feel like it's time to stop now😂 I'll post them if I get the chance💓
I'll leave it at that for today!! The next Yokosuka blog post will be about Sarushima-Monkey Island!
See you soon~☆( *'▽'*)/

A hanfu isn't just a robe, though. It's a specific type of traditional outfit that has even more specific variations, and while you could describe it more specifically (e.g. she put on her red ruqun, with a pleated horse-face skirt), it isn't always relevant. I've never seen anyone bring this up for, say, kimonos, and I don't think the GOT comparison is fair, either. It'd be more like "he puts on his armour". What type of armour—lamellar, chainmail, heavy, leather? It doesn't always matter. 1/2
--
2/2. Putting down a category of traditional clothing as "meta terminology" also rather irritates me. Again, looking at kimonos. Perhaps it's unfamiliar because CN fashion isn't as widespread as JP, but it's literally just what the broad category of clothing is called, and within the context of danmei fandoms, it shouldn't be unfamiliar knowledge. Trying to Americanize everything by simply calling everything a 'robe' loses the point entirely and is the equivalent of really terrible translation. Sorry, one more thing. When I picture a "robe", I think of wizards. DND. Bathrobes. None of which bear any similarity to a hanfu, and unless you want to describe "a parted robe made of flowing Yun brocade with loose sleeves that wraps around the body, with a wide collar that has its right lapel crossed over its left, tied at the waist with a belt, with a jade pendant weighing down the long skirt" every single time it's brought up, I'm pretty sure "hanfu" is a more accurate descriptor by far.
Uh... anon...
1.
'Robe' is an extremely vague term that absolutely is used for all sorts of garments from all over the world.
The fact that you associate it with a tiny fraction of its conventional meanings isn't going to change how other people use it.
2.
I am indeed more familiar with kimono than hanfu, but I thought the other people did make explicit what their issue is, and it exists for Japan too.
Depending on when your canon is set (or its vague, handwave-y apparent time period for more fantasy canons), the word may not have been in use yet.
'Kimono' as a word is possibly as recent as the 19th Century, though I see one etymological dictionary saying 1630s. Prior to the 19thC, a lot of things we would now call 'kimono' were known as 'kosode'. The further back you go, the more other terms there are and the more the distinctions matter.
I'm personally a fan of fiction set in the Heian period, and they would absolutely not have been calling anything a "kimono" then, nor do the robes look like modern kimono.
Furthermore, a generic-ass word like 'wear on upper body'+'thing' doesn't get its modern interpretation until it has significant competition from Western clothing. Today, it has a relatively narrow range of interpretations based on the calcified form of traditional Japanese clothing that still hangs on.
It's an absurd affectation to insist on calling all ancient Japanese clothing 'kimono'.
That wouldn't be de-Americanizing your writing.
That would be "According to keikaku".
--
From what I've seen in other people's meta posts about Chinese fandoms, the reason people object to 'hanfu' in fic is that this word has gained a lot of popularity in very recent history as part of the hanfu revival movement.
While it existed before that, it wasn't used so consistently, and it mainly turned up in contexts talking about Chinese as opposed to foreign clothing. It doesn't seem to have been a general term used like "So-and-so put on his completely normal outfit to get ready for the day".
People are using it (outside of fic) to talk about a specific range of historically accurate Chinese clothing. It doesn't cover everything, and in the modern and highly gatekept usage, it specifically doesn't cover historically-inspired fantasy costumes like those on The Untamed.
If you're Chinese and you feel it should cover those, fair enough, but that isn't what a lot of the hanfu education blogs have been saying.
People aren't pulling this out of their asses out of a desire to be American. They're getting it from hanfu blogs asking them not to use the word like that.
If you think those blogs are wrong, please say that.

If you want to, can you share any Sasuke fic recs? I've been out of the fandom for ages (like almost a decade atp) because of how the fandom treats Sasuke and his fans but I found your blog recently that has reignited my love for him 🔥
(preferably ao3 recs since fanfictionnet is blocked in my country lmao)
Hi there nice person! I am so happy my blog helped you revive your love for Sasuke. And I feel you... It is so annoying to see so much unjustified Sasuke hate.
My problem with fanfiction (and literature in general) is that when I like something I love it fervently and obsessively forever, but it does not happen often. Most works I come across are excellent, really, authors are so skilled. And still, very rarely I get an emotional connection with the work that motivates me to engage with it and continue reading. I am constantly trying to find something that works for me but I almost never do. But it's entirely my fault, really 😔😔😔 I have a few examples of fanfics that I really like, though. All involve brotherly interactions between Sasuke and Itachi (sorry, I know many Sasuke fans can't stand him): I love this series where Itachi survives but is blind, and he and Sasuke just share time and be with each other: -https://archiveofourown.org/series/2697271
And this one is another AU even less canon compliant: -https://archiveofourown.org/works/33909847
Also this work by the same author, just Itachi remembering Sasuke, it is a little sad: -https://archiveofourown.org/works/35795707
This is a super short and super simple work, still extremely cute to me: -https://archiveofourown.org/works/14829239
I also love the three Sasuke/Itachi centric fanfics of @theheirofthesharingan (I did not finish Unbreakable Ties, but it is extremely beautiful, emotional and devastatingly sad, be warned!) -https://archiveofourown.org/users/theheirofthesharingan
I hope this helps, and I am sorry I don't have more suggestions. And sorry also that it took me so long to answer. Please take care! And I hope you enjoy your comeback to the fandom and stay happily here for long 😊😊😊

Here's another one I've been bouncing around for a while: Mavis and Audrey are very similar characters in many ways, including both having morally grey fathers with a lying problem and problems accepting the more monstrous part of themselves. So most of the time, I see them as good friends. With perhaps Audrey being at once protective and brutally honest with the more innocent vampire and Mavis using her supernatural abilities to help out her more "Human" friend.
However, I feel a big difference would be Audrey would be one to call Mavis out on her hypocrisy. With far less finesse than Ericka. Both due to her OWN Monster-human liminality which she's had to deal with ("What is it that you all say? 'Monster, Human, Unicorn?' That it doesn't matter? What happened to THAT? What happened to not caring WHAT Johnny or Dennis were? Or was all that ALSO a lie?") and...well, she's seen the kind of terrible things that line of thinking can do. Heck, she's been a VICTIM of that line of thinking. Both from Wilson and not knowing who SHE was for a long time. Considering how Dark Revival ends with Audrey promising to make things better, she probably also feels Mavis should have known better than to make the same mistakes as Dracula/Not wanting her to make similar mistakes to Joey or Wilson. So the whole thing with Dennis and Johnny's Transformania thing...wouldn't sit well with her.
For Mavis' part, she finds her normally chill friend (who normally keeps her hands to herself) snapping at her and getting in her face startling, and hearing her words is both heart-wrenching and far more terrifying than Dad's human horror stories. Audrey's like a dark, damaged mirror of herself, almost.
...but she DOES make a very persuasive point.
@lovelylivelyv @black-ak9 @hotelt-resurrection @ssleeping-in-a-coffin @serial-serializednovelreader @ebevkisk @deathfangirl9 @roydoodler-blog @doberart @thedopedemon @thedemonsurfer @inkiedraws @inkhyaena @inkspottie @inkwelldevil @wingingfromthezing @howling-nightmare

Is it just me or does there seem to be more Eris content lately? It’s a good thing, but it just feels very surprising to me
YES! I've noticed it too. I spend a lot of time in the Eris tags to see what's happening and it's fun to see new writers and artists. I try and get their work queued up on the Eris Week blog to give them some visibility. Fwiw if you ping me on here or on eris week i will share your work! We'll have creator celebration nominations go out in the next month or two.
I do have a couple of theories on why we are getting more Eris. Please don't take these too seriously, but I love to share:
Re: Neris. I think there is a bit of revival on this front because of CC3, but mostly because Nesta is a major character now, and the Neris seeds were already planted in ACOSF. Also, I'm seeing more Cassian x Nesta x Eris! Why should Nesta have to choose?
Azris is getting more and more popular. I've seen a bunch of new Azris writers pop up and celebrate one another, which begets MORE content. Having a support group really helps you put out content.
I think that since Eris isn't actually paired up with anyone in canon, it's easier for some folks to make x ocs and x reader fics
Eris is typically a pretty neutral character in that if you like Eris as a character, it doesn't usually indicate what ship preferences you have for the major ships. Therefore, we get a lot of people across the fandom writing about him. He's "safe" for a lack of a better term.
At the end of the day, we're all waiting for the next book and any clues about what's in it. Eris played a decent role in SF and we're excited to see what happens...though I think the Eris folks know the next book won't be his, so we're making our own content lol.
Again, this is just speculation, so please don't take it seriously. But I agree that I'm seeing more Eris stuff pop up and it's been SO much fun.

How has things been
So... Hi. I hope you guys are doing well
.
I'm kind of afraid to share this with you but... here it is :
.
This blog is now a ghost town and I've kind of forgotten it existed, not gonna lie. And it's very close from the end of the year so... Bloody Revenge Days update for late 2023 is not a really bad thing, let's say.
For those wondering what's going on with Bloodstained, well unfortunately I lost interest as time went on, and by the way at the time it was just me trying to make things work out with the ideas I had. I had very little help to execute it (and writing is not my best thing, I'll be honest with that). Also lost interest with Bloody Bunny in general because one, updates are painfully slow and two, I just moved on... naturally, and got other interests. And I also kind of matured.
And I'll be honest, 2023 was a year where I was really not in my place.
For those who only know the bloody revenge days facette, I must admit that I was very very low. I mean it by the way, because Twitter. Cause you know, Twitter and anger issues is not a really good cocktail. So I did what was the best option, and it was to just log off completely. And that after a heated argument I told myself it was time to get the fuck out that place immediately before I get worse. And also I am considering getting help with said anger issues cause this is really not it. I've argued with my friends a lot and now I'm in good terms with them again after logging off that site and taking a break from the friend group. And I've been feeling pretty much better after that. Still not perfect but I can feel a sense of improvement within me
So yeah, revealing a more personal side of myself and feeling kind of shameful about it, let me tell you something about Bloody Bunny.
I am feeling like 2Spot really doesn't care about Bloody Bunny or its story or at least not enough to use it outside merchandising (or doing the good ol' Hasbro technique as I like to say it) And it sucks to me because fans like me wanted more to The First Blood or the game they released in 2021, and what did they do ? Those millenial humor posts with their imagery slapped onto it and NFTs. and it really sucks. This only proved to me that 2Spot really doesn't give a shit about their beloved IP and only wanted money. And with that in consideration I kind of understand why I lost interest in Bloodstained and this blog (aside from my attention getting all over places) and why I lost interest with Bloody Bunny in general
All I can see now is a story of fans dealing with a company's corporate greed and lack of interest for the IPs they make. And it makes me really sad.
So is this the end of Bloodstained and Bloody revenge days ?
Well, Bloodstained is already scrapped so... I don't see a lot of hopes in reviving the project.
For Bloody Revenge Days, the tumblr blog will still exist but will be in a state of archive so I won't be posting here unless I see legitimate news for Bloody Bunny but at this point it's too late.
So I won't be posting here and... yeah.
Still, thanks to all who came here to see this blog as imperfect as it is, my theories, my art, my posts, thanks for all of the the support, and I wish you a delightful new year and a better year for 2024.
