How has things been
So... Hi. I hope you guys are doing well
.
I'm kind of afraid to share this with you but... here it is :
.
This blog is now a ghost town and I've kind of forgotten it existed, not gonna lie. And it's very close from the end of the year so... Bloody Revenge Days update for late 2023 is not a really bad thing, let's say.
For those wondering what's going on with Bloodstained, well unfortunately I lost interest as time went on, and by the way at the time it was just me trying to make things work out with the ideas I had. I had very little help to execute it (and writing is not my best thing, I'll be honest with that). Also lost interest with Bloody Bunny in general because one, updates are painfully slow and two, I just moved on... naturally, and got other interests. And I also kind of matured.
And I'll be honest, 2023 was a year where I was really not in my place.
For those who only know the bloody revenge days facette, I must admit that I was very very low. I mean it by the way, because Twitter. Cause you know, Twitter and anger issues is not a really good cocktail. So I did what was the best option, and it was to just log off completely. And that after a heated argument I told myself it was time to get the fuck out that place immediately before I get worse. And also I am considering getting help with said anger issues cause this is really not it. I've argued with my friends a lot and now I'm in good terms with them again after logging off that site and taking a break from the friend group. And I've been feeling pretty much better after that. Still not perfect but I can feel a sense of improvement within me
So yeah, revealing a more personal side of myself and feeling kind of shameful about it, let me tell you something about Bloody Bunny.
I am feeling like 2Spot really doesn't care about Bloody Bunny or its story or at least not enough to use it outside merchandising (or doing the good ol' Hasbro technique as I like to say it) And it sucks to me because fans like me wanted more to The First Blood or the game they released in 2021, and what did they do ? Those millenial humor posts with their imagery slapped onto it and NFTs. and it really sucks. This only proved to me that 2Spot really doesn't give a shit about their beloved IP and only wanted money. And with that in consideration I kind of understand why I lost interest in Bloodstained and this blog (aside from my attention getting all over places) and why I lost interest with Bloody Bunny in general
All I can see now is a story of fans dealing with a company's corporate greed and lack of interest for the IPs they make. And it makes me really sad.
So is this the end of Bloodstained and Bloody revenge days ?
Well, Bloodstained is already scrapped so... I don't see a lot of hopes in reviving the project.
For Bloody Revenge Days, the tumblr blog will still exist but will be in a state of archive so I won't be posting here unless I see legitimate news for Bloody Bunny but at this point it's too late.
So I won't be posting here and... yeah.
Still, thanks to all who came here to see this blog as imperfect as it is, my theories, my art, my posts, thanks for all of the the support, and I wish you a delightful new year and a better year for 2024.

what was is your favorite bloody bunny era?
To be fair it's gotta be The First Blood era,
Now I'll talk about something a bit more personal than usual but it's where I started posting digital art and experimenting with it. I inherited the big ol' eyes and head art style from Bloody Bunny, if you didn't see the art on my personal account yeah...
The lore interested me a lot too and the game got me more interested in it with hopes of seeing this universe develop. It does kill me that 2Spot doesn't update their lore or releases First Blood season two.
It is possible that the team doesn't rush the animators working at RIFF studios or people developping the game and if that's the case, good on them. But a part of me says to not hope too much for info.
I think that's also the reason why Bloody Bunny fans have slowly left the fandom, because of the painfully slow updates and well, just people moving on. I moved on from this phase but a part of me wants to go back to that cozy community that is now a ghost town
I do hope to one day be able to one day try Dark Rabbit DLC sooner or later though. Hoping 2Spot listen to those fans who sticked around for updates but... my sentiment still stands.

^^^^ I highly recommend you guys to check this post right here !
It explains in detail who (and/or what) is Bloody Bunny, what's currently going on with 2Spot, and the speculation on why the Dark Rabbit DLC is still late actually does make sense !
So shout out to @thatbloodybunnyfan !
Bloody Bunny, Dark Rabbit DLC, 2Spot Studios news/speculation
Tldr; a brain dump containing some background on Bloody Bunny, speculation on the very late Dark Rabbit dlc for the switch game, and what could be happening at BB's parent company, 2Spot Studio. The main questions we're asking are: who is Bloody Bunny, what's going on with the dlc, and what is 2Spot trying to do with their character?
(might wanna grab a snack, it's a long one)
Sorta speculating on why 2Spot seems to be down on hard times and why they're not releasing the DR DLC.
Now first of all, the most important thing to know about their darling face of the company, Bloody Bunny, is that she was a character created to sell to a specific niche that caters to "cute with edge" fans of a certain demographic. This character has been around since over a decade ago and going on 2 decades in a few more years, going by the oldest BB material uploaded to youtube. She could be older than this. So she was made to be an appeal character not unlike Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, and other sort of mascot types.
I believe what happened was BB wasn't fortunate enough to blow up and be profitable in the manner 2Spot wanted and their marketing tactics were quite expensive; opening a character store/café in their place of origin (Thailand) to large scale character photo kiosks also only seen there, and recently some high budget animation and of course the video game based on that. Before the latter two, they also were involved in at least 2 other animated shows, being "Bloody Bunny: Don't Be My Enemy" and the Ayupan crossover featuring a different character, Ayupan.
I'm unsure of the current state of 2Spot right now, but am aware they've gotten into selling nfts and cryptocurrency* (*BONY coin; unconfirmed) based on their Bloody Bunny characters, which is pretty bad. As we've seen, crypto ultimately is a highly unreliable and characteristically volatile business venture, the likes only people trying to make money end up doing. I can only come to the theoretical conclusion that 2Spot have gotten pretty desperate at this point with their decade+ old character/IP failing to make a decent return on investment, which could be why they've headed into nfts now.
Perhaps the company once had the budget for all the marketing up until now and may be on the verge of defaulting, which could possibly be a reason why the promised Dark Rabbit dlc for their Bloody Bunny game has not released in the 2 years since the game's debut and subsequent dlc announcement. They could be unable to afford the rest of the game, basically.
This is all just my theorizing and speculation, but if all this is true, it's a shame because the dlc looked promising and honestly i adore Bloody Bunny. 2Spot created her long ago and never stopped believing in her and the potential she has to be a well known character. It's more than evident in how long they've tried to market her and the vast amount of iterations she's had over the years.
I must make note of what i reckon is the high point of BB's marketing, which most definitely was the Riff Studio animated feature and the game based off of it. They reached acclaim the likes of which I think their other marketing efforts didn't. I never didn't enjoy the statement both the new animation and game made, which was essentially Bloody Bunny is the best character. You could see it almost like a bold take of 2Spot vs Sanrio vs Hasbro vs San-x, (Bloody Bunny vs Hello Kitty/Bye-Bye Kitten vs My Little Pony/Razor Mane vs Rilakkuma/Serious Kuma) with obvious references to Disney and others in the mix (evil Winnie the Pooh dolls, Dizzyland, Kikkys/Skull Minions resembling Mickey Mouse, evil Teletubby dolls, etc) And hell, the fact the only character who could hold their own against Bloody Bunny was an evil version of herself (Dark Rabbit, also by 2Spot) is saying something, though both bunnies themselves take quite a bit from shonen anime tropes. I just really love the message they were getting across about the characters and it reminded me so much of the old Ty the Tasmanian Tiger ad where Ty put Spyro, Crash, Sonic, and other well known video game characters in the hospital and visited to intimidate them. Such a fuckin jock thing i find highly enjoyable, and from Ty's success, it clearly works as effective marketing. Ty went on to have 3 amazing 3D games and a fourth, 2D game from actually giving its ad credence by being a really good game/franchise on levels with Crash and the others. Suppose the difference is Ty wasn't an appeal/gimmick character, but a game character with more content backing him. But maybe one could argue that there are other games that didn't quite land, similar to Bloody Bunny not landing as an appeal character, but i compared Ty and BB solely from a piece of their respective marketing that struck me as alike; Ty beating up other characters and BB doing the same, giving a clear message that they're the better characters. It's bold and i live for that energy 100%.
I think 2Spot went the right direction incorporating this attitude into BB, but it seems BB is failing to meet their needs as a company despite all the attempts and effort to put her out there. I'll end this speculation piece by declaring my loyalty to this character and a promise that if her owners end up losing her, there is a good place for her to go. I still believe in Bloody Bunny just like 2Spot does and have believed in her ever since first sight. She has great potential and more than has the audience to catapult her into the mainstream, but hopefully also has the fortune to get to where she must be.
P.S. i would LOVE to be proven wrong on any aspects of these theories just so we all have the correct information. I'll reiterate that this is all speculation and although the BB marketing materials all exist as well as the nfts, the motives i mentioned here for them aren't necessarily the actual ones. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes at 2Spot and their associations and i know there's BB fans playing the game who want their DLC, myself included. If i could shed even some speculative light on Bloody Bunny's frankly convoluted history and whereabouts, i think it'd be helpful to BB fans.
This was quite a lot so if you made it this far, thank you so much for reading !!!!!!!!!!! If you like Bloody Bunny and want her to do well, feel free to spread the word.
As for this blog, I'll be posting mainly game clips harvested from my copy of the game throughout the year as well as other BB goodies in celebration of the Year of the Rabbit (2023). If that's your fancy, then stay tuned!
Until then, bloody bunnies. Thanks again!

Oh and by the way- yeah I did change Dark Rabbit's design a bit : I have been experimenting the triangular eyes on him and it looks... perfect !
(made variants with and without pants lmfao-)
Also it'll be his Bloodstained design because I said so 👹
(of course, without... the pants...)
The pain of drawing this is finally over and he's finally done... And he's *ahem* ✨ slaying ✨
context : art challenge I wanted to do with DR

Random headcannon I have is about the 4 Dollbosses being kids who willingly joined the doll company bc they have something against the human race too.
Interesting headcanon !
I'd also add that some kids could be brainwashed by the Doll Empire's propaganda into thinking turning into dolls is the next step into evolution and it's what happened in your headcanon for the Dark Bosses. Children who get brainwashed would also develop misanthropy and/or would forget their human lives more easliy than those who didn't get brainwashed
Thank you for sharing your headcanon by the way, anon !

Behind the dolls : Serious Kuma
I genuinely think it's fun to know the origins of the cutesy stuff the Bloody Bunny series parodies
Like for example : today I was educating myself about Rilakkuma (Which was inspiration for Serious Kuma, I believe) and found some interesting information about it
Rilakkuma is basically a mix of the words "relax" (リラックス, rirakkusu) and "bear" (熊, kuma)
So now I understand the "I'm not relax !" motto from Kuma a bit better !
Another small thing I found interesting is that apparently Rilakkuma has a zipper on its back to hide its true form (don't know the reason why First Blood didn't include that for Serious Kuma. Not that he'd need it in his character design but could you imagine if he had a zipper that has the same purpose, though ?)
And Rilakkuma also has other character lines
Korilakkuma
Kiiroitori
Chairoikoguma
I think Serious Kuma's already good enough but might as well imagine how his other pals would look like too !
Anyways this is a little more cultural post than usual, finding out about Serious Kuma's inspiration was genuinely fun and I might as well do some of the same stuff stuff for Bye Bye Kitten (Hello Kitty) !
link to the source of the information I gathered by the way ^^ : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rilakkuma Wikipedia really is my friend sometimes

What is Bloody bunny and Mumu’s life like before their transformation into stuffed bunny toys?
(Yet another question I've planned to respond to earlier) Now, as I always mention when it comes to these questions : there are no canon backstories about Bloody Bunny and Mumu's human days. But maybe I can explain with two possibilities
If they lived the start of the doll takeover
They'd live normal children lives. They'd play, they'd do... well, lots of things children do, but their normal lives would be interrupted by the doll takeover.
If they were born during the expansion of the doll takeover
They would live hidden away from the dolls, and their parents (whose death have in my opinion surely happened offscreen) would defend them from this threat and would not let their daughters away from their home.
What happens next, they'd either a) won't listen, and when they notice that their parents weren't joking about the threats of the dolls, they'd try to escape b) get invaded and the parents tell them where to go
So, yeah ! Here's my (late) theory about what BB and Mumu's human lives would look like ! Hope I've worded it well enough !

Small discovery about Dark Rabbit's Tattoos (a kinda filler post smh)
I recently discovered what Dark Rabbit's tattoos actually are. More specifically, the arm tattoos.
Here's a close up from his arm
First thing that came to mind, was a moon and something else I couldn't decipher. It looks more or less like this in a flat image.
(behold the horrible sketch by the way...)
The concept art doesn't exactly show this but well, the more you know :)

Hello, I was curious about the time between the uprising of the dolls against the humans and the events that occurred in first blood, maybe decades just passed leaving few humans scattered or centuries leaving the human civilization completely destroyed and having to start from 0 like in the middle ages while dolls advance technologically?
The time is very blurry in First Blood, so it might be possible that it happens decades or centuries after the doll uprising.
And I think the idea of the dolls advancing technologically while humans struggle to advance is one that could fit the lore. Humans are in a very low position compared to dolls, so they wouldn't get any chance to get much access to technology ; adding that with new social norms created by dolls, humanity would stay stuck in what they learned in the past (21st century, if it's happening centuries after it) and would teach other humans these norms and values.
I might go off on a tangent, if you compare the human norms of the 21st century to the doll's norms from whatever time First Blood is set in, they'd be considered outdated. Especially because in this context, dolls would have already advanced more than humans, wich leads to them being stuck in the values and norms pre-invasion. Therefore, the values and norms humans teach to each other are indeed outdated.
So, sure. Dolls advancing technologically while humans don't is a good idea, but I think humans having to start from 0 seem a bit extreme to me.
I hope I answered your question :)
