My dazzling black dress looked as if it was made for me specifically. The way it hugged every dip and curve, flared in all the right places. It was beyond just flattering, it made me look angelic yet sinful at the same time.
I spot Azriel on the couch when I enter the sitting room, his long legs stretched out in front of him as he reads from a novel with a worn cover that I've seen him reread a multitude of times.
He flicks his eyes up from his overused book to glance at me, then returns to his page. Then he visibly freezes and looks back to me, needing a double take to make sure what he saw registered correctly. He snapped his book shut when I flashed him a beaming smile.
"Where are you going?" He immediately interrogated, sitting up from his position.
I do a small twirl, showing off. "I have a date," I shrug and he stands, brows lowered. It was always hard to read my roommate's expressions but he had clearly been distraught at the information I gave him. "What? Don't think I'm capable of having anyone interested in me?" I joke and he narrows his eyes at me conspicuously.
"Just confused as to who you think deserves to see you dressed like this," His eyes rake down my figure, dropping all the way to my heels that wrapped up my ankles, slowly moving up the slit in the side of the dress that exposed most of my thigh, my waist, my chest, lingering at the cleavage there for a moment, then finally back up to my eyes.
"It's none of your business," I cross my arms and he tilts his head, unimpressed. I swore he could read me like the pages of his favorite book. "Okay fine," I fold beneath his piercing gaze. "I'm going to dinner with a guy named Nelm and he's super nice so don't—" He doesn't let me finish as he cuts me off with a sudden laugh and I flush in embarrassment. "He's nice, Az," I defend while he suppresses the rest of his laugh, resulting in a thin-lipped smile.
"Nelm cannot be a real name," He says like he refused to even fathom the idea of it.
"Well it is, and I'm going to be late so if you'll excuse me," I spin on my heel, away from him and towards the front door.
"You promised yesterday we'd watch a horror movie tonight," He croons in a sing-song tone that makes me cast a glance back to him with a guilty frown.
"I'll be back later tonight, we'll watch it then," I say, reaching for the doorknob but being mentally stopped by the feeling of something being lost. "Forgetting something?" Azriel hums, holding up my purse, the strap dangling from his finger tauntingly. I groaned, looking at the male.
"Give it." I sigh.
"Try and take it," He shrugs, holding the purse up above his head while taking three long strides forward and closing the distance between us. I look up at him with cold eyes which he only smiles at whilst I silently curse his tall height.
"Az, c'mon I'm going to be late," I claim and he only smirks at the idea.
"Late to what?" Cassian's familiar voice asks from the other side of the room and I jump, looking past Azriel and to my other roommate who was coming down the hallway shirtless, Nesta beside him, appearing to be wearing nothing but his stolen shirt. She practically lived here as much as the rest of us so I didn't bat an eye at the sharp-featured female.
"Great, let's get everyone involved in my love life," I murmur sarcastically while Azriel turns sideways to face both me and his brother.
"She's going on a date with some guy named Nelm," He explains and I glare up at him.
"Horrible name," Nesta mumbles as she enters the kitchen, Cassian trailing behind her.
"He's making it sound worse than it is," I claim and Azriel looks down at me pointedly.
"I only told them what you told me, it's your mind making it seem worse than it is," Azriel retorts and I clamp my mouth shut, knowing he was right.
"Well he's kind, and he's taking me to dinner," I look to Cassian and Nesta like I was someone on trial and they were the jury. "And I'm going to be late, so give me my purse," I take my gaze back to Azriel.
"I don't want to," He shrugs. We pause for a moment at the heaviness that sentence holds. Earlier he had made a taunting game of it, but now he simply just didn’t want me to leave, not for fun, but because he wanted me to stay and watch a stupid scary movie with him.
I was trying to get over him with this date, move on from my ridiculous crush and he was making it awfully difficult. It didn't help that we've made out a couple of times in a few desperate moments while we were both at our lows. But it was never more than lips, always just kissing, we made that line clear and we've both been walking along it for too long.
Nevertheless, my crush wasn't going away, and having it on my roommate of all people was not fun, especially when I saw him walk around shirtless, or roaming the house after showering with a towel loosely wrapped around his hips, hair still dripping water down onto his abdomen—
"How'd you even meet this guy anyway?" Cassian tore me from my straying imagination. Azriel and I both whip our heads towards him.
"Mor set us up," I shrug with a bashful expression.
"Oh," Cassian grimaced, Azriel matching his look of disgust.
"What?" I scowl at both of them, confused as to what's so wrong with that.
"Well Mor playing Cupid is similar to her solstice presents," Cassian attempts to explain.
"She means well, but the outcome is always, laughable," Azriel expands and I frown, looking to the floor in slight defeat, wondering how I would tear myself from this one. I huff and look back at the two males.
"Well he's not laughable, and it's just one date. I think I'll manage," I argue, waving Cassian off. Nesta pulls at his arm and he nods, following her back down the hall.
"Right, good luck then," He calls back and I smile in triumph, bringing my gaze back up to Azriel.
He stares down at me for a moment, mirroring my stubbornness with his pointed look.
"Alright, fine," He sighs, lowering my purse and placing it in my outstretched hands with a tentativeness I nearly didn't catch.
"Thank you," I reach for the doorknob, but I turn back to him for a moment before opening the door, my eyes lingering on pools of hazel.
"Have fun," He shoos and I offer him a grateful smile. "I'm sorry I made you late to dinner with your dad," He added beneath his breath and my smile dropped into a glare.
"It's a date, Azriel. I have a date," I restate but his smirk doesn't falter.
He looks to the door behind me, to my hand on the knob, then back to my eyes, as if anticipating my leave, but I didn't make the move. To be honest I'd much rather stay here and watch that horror movie I promised him than go to dinner with a guy named Nelm.
"Right, a date," He nods, crossing his arms, still waiting for me to take my departure.
"I know the concept of asking a girl out is foreign to you, but I think you can grasp it," I taunt and he chuckles, the amused sound making my stomach flip.
"I know how to ask a girl out," He claims and I smirk, because perhaps prodding his fragile ego was much more fun than any old dinner date.
"I don't believe you," My hand leaves the doorknob only to cross my arms over my chest and his smile widens.
"Yeah?" He leans against the door, indicating that I won't be leaving any time soon now that his weight is pressed against it. I nod. "Do you want to get dinner with me instead of a guy named Nelm?" He tilted his head and I swallowed thickly. Was he genuinely asking me out or just continuing this game I started? "Or we could watch that movie you promised me?" He proposed and my cheeks flushed pink.
"Yes," I blurt out and his brows raise a fraction in both shock and amusement. Gods this was embarrassing.
"Yes to dinner, or to the movie?" He tilts his head, his smirk widening.
"Would you think less of me if I blew off my date just to watch a horror movie with you?" I say, my voice just above a whisper.
"Never." He grabs my hand and pulls me away from the front door, towards the couch.
"Wait I have to change." I pull away from his grasp.
"But you look pretty," He grabs my purse, holding me back from leaving yet again.
"But I'm uncomfortable," I groan but he only tugs at my purse and pulls me closer.
"Just take it off, I won't watch," He closes his eyes and turns his head away from me.
"I'm not stripping down just because you're clingy," I huff and he opens one eye, looking at me with a scrunched nose, his stubbornness outmatched.
"Here." He grabs the hem of his shirt and takes it off with ease, leaving his chest bare.
"You can wear mine," He tosses the fabric at me. I sigh and place the shirt down on the couch.
"All because you want to see me naked," I mumble, dropping my hold on the purse and he sets himself on the couch, closing his eyes just as he promised.
I turn around anyway, unzipping my dress from the side and shrugging it off, allowing it to dip from my shoulders and then pool at the floor.
"Uh, can you hand me your shirt," I murmur, afraid to turn around.
"You were going to let a guy named Nelm see you in that?" He said and I whirled around, staring at him with wide eyes.
"You said you'd shut your eyes!" I grab the shirt in his hands.
"Forget the dress, no one deserves to see you in this," He ignored my exclamation and grabbed me by the backs of my thighs, and pulled me closer, staring up at me in my black lingerie that fit me just as well as my dress.
"You weren't going to let some other guy see you in this were you?" He questions with a certain possessiveness to his voice as I shrug the shirt on, pulling it over my head. Then down past my hips.
"Why does it matter? I'm not going anymore anyways." I plop on the couch beside him, crossing my arms over my chest defensively.
"No," He smiles. "You're not."
"Just start the movie." I swing my feet over his lap and he does as says, letting the TV play while dimming the lights.
I still felt exposed despite Azriel’s shirt loosely around my body. Gods, it smelt so strongly of him, and now he was left shirtless and it made me helpless.
I reached over and grabbed a blanket from the armrest, spreading it out over me while readjusting so I was lying down, my thighs now on Azriel's lap.
"You seem comfortable," He remarks, his tone clipped and I look at him with a glare, still upset he made me cancel my date. "Oh c'mon, you can't be mad at me forever," He sighs, leaning down so his bare chest was pressed to my back. "I know how much you love to cuddle," He croons, using my own weaknesses against me. "Besides, who's going to protect you when all the jump scares start to happen?" He suggests and a shiver ran down my spine at the thought.
I hated horror movies, Azriel always made me watch them since they were his favorite. The sadistic freak laughed whenever I jolted at a scary moment.
I pout, burrowing deeper into the throw pillow.
"Fine, but only if you cuddle me too," I offer and he smiles, laying down fully behind me, our legs tangling as his hand snakes around my waist and pulls me further into his chest. I smile at the feeling. How was I ever supposed to get over him while he was actively pressing me into him while I wore his shirt?
I distracted myself with the movie, but it was hard not to think about him while he stroked the side of my waist with his thumb, silently soothing me during tense parts of the movie.
I was in the middle of imaging how good it'd feel to lose the barrier of the shirt and have skin to skin contact when the killer appeared on screen all of a sudden and I jumped, my entire body tensing as I grabbed his hand that was tucked beneath my head and put it in front of my eyes.
"You're alright," He whispers, a slight amusement to his tone that reassured me. "You're fine," He hums, intertwining my hand with his and pulling them away from my line of sight.
I shiver at the feeling of his hand clasped in mine, how intimate it was in such a quiet moment like this. "You cold?" He asks his lips just beside my ear with the position we were in. I nod, using that as my excuse. "Yeah?" He purrs and I swallow thickly, clenching my legs together at all the lewd thoughts developing in my mind at the single word. I needed help.
I nod again and his hand on my waist dipped down beneath the blanket. I stopped breathing for a minute as he slipped his hand beneath the hem of my shirt, his palm rubbing up the side of my stomach, then returning to gripping my waist with his large, warm hand. "Better?" He whispers and I swore that time I could feel his lips against my ear. I fight back my need to mount him and simply nod instead.
"Mhm," I murmur, tightening my grip on his other hand.
Now that I could feel every twitch and movement of his hand I couldn't think of anything else. The movie didn't even scare me anymore, I was too entranced with him to focus on anything else. I wanted him to feel me everywhere. His calloused fingertips brushed against my soft skin, creating a friction I couldn't erase from my mind. I slowly grab his wrist with my free hand and boldly guide his grip upward, his fingers coming to my breast and cupping it in his hand.
He doesn't say anything, stays perfectly quiet as he gropes my breast in his hand and I let out a soft sigh, my hand in his tightening at the satisfying feeling.
He begins to massage my clothed breast in his hand, with little hesitation in his movements with the action and I respond to his touch by leaning into his chest, the curve of my ass pressing to his hips. He dips his head down, his lips meeting the crook of my shoulder.
His kisses trail up my neck then back down as quiet, soft sounds escape from the base of my throat and I prayed he couldn't hear them. His hand leaves my breast and mortification dawns over me. He was going to pull away, going to call me stupid for having a crush on him since he was my roommate.
But he didn't pull away and he still didn't speak. He just continued to lower his hand until it slipped beneath the blankets, and ever so slowly cupped my heat. I let out a soft gasp, clenching my legs shut.
"This alright love?" He purrs into the shell of my ear and I nod.
"Please," I mutter and he smiles into my neck at the desperation in my tone. He rubs his fingers through my folds, the cloth of my underwear doing nothing to keep his hands dry as my arousal seeps through and soaks him anyway. I clench around nothing at the sensation, his finger pads finding my clit and circling it harshly. I flip onto my back, looking up at him with pleading eyes and gripping his free hand with mine.
He smiles down at me, slowly pressing his fingers to my most sensitive area. "Please, Az," I murmur.
"Please what?" He taunts and I pout, not wanting to say it. But he doesn't waver.
"I want your fingers," I confess. "Inside of me, please Az," I finished and his smirk widened, leaning down and capturing my lips with his.
"Look at how nice you asked, was that so hard?" He hummed and I shook my head no. He grants me a smile as his fingers hook under my waistband and he tugs my panties off, bringing them down to my knees and I thrash them the rest of the way off.
He cups my bare heat in his hand and my breath hitched. He presses his lips to mine again. He could feel how much I wanted him I was so wet. "Az," I sigh out softly as his thumb pressed to my clit. I grind down onto his palm, needing more friction. He meets my silent request by beginning to dive two of his fingers through my folds, coating them in my slick and preparing them for entrance.
I let out a breathy mewl as he flicks his thumb over my clit in a particularly stimulating way, making my legs fall open wider. He admired this, humming against my lips and slipping his tongue inside as I opened my mouth to moan his name.
His fingers slowly come down to my entrance, tracing it dauntingly and I stifle a whine, needing him to fill me entirely. I kissed him hard instead of begging, allowing him to explore every expanse of my mouth as he ever so slowly pushed two of his fingers into my slit. I clenched around him at the feeling, how godly it felt when he rubbed against my elastic walls, stretching them on his hand as he began curling his fingers at just the right angle, pressing against that sensitive bundle of nerves nestled deep inside of me.
"There," I clench his other hand in mine, my nails digging into the back of his palm as he continues the lethal movements. I grit my teeth at how damned perfect it felt as he began to speed up, scissoring his fingers against it and creating an entirely new feeling.
Heat washed over me in waves, ebbing and flowing against me as my orgasm built, rapidly approaching.
"Azriel," I whimpered against his lips and he smirked.
"I love hearing my name moaned from your lips," He admitted, his fingers continuing to make a mess of me. "My pretty girl," He admired, his gaze finding mine. My brows creased at the name, and the possession that came with it.
"Yours," I whispered and he nodded, confirming it.
"All mine." He kissed my lips once more, his hand continuing its relentless pace as he flicked his fingers over that bundle, toying with it as I desperately chased my release.
His thumb returned to my clit, rubbing it harshly and I mewled, pulling away from his lips in favor of tilting my head back into the pillow, reveling in the heat running through my veins. "M'close," I warn in a soft tone and he presses a tender kiss to my cheek, then goes down to my jaw with a trail of the same gentleness.
"I know baby, go ahead, make a mess on my hand," He allows and can only obey, anything else would be downright masochistic.
I'm met with a white-hot pleasure that blinded me for longer than a moment, my eyes rolling back as my climax consumes me entirely, bringing both satisfaction and a craving for more simultaneously.
Once my body returns to its reality he removes his fingers from my cunt, now drenched with my dripping arousal. He smiles, bringing his hand up to his lips and licking up the wet expanse of his fingers, gathering my release on his tongue. He groaned as if the taste was revolutionary. "Gods, you're sweeter than I imagined," He confesses and my brows raise slightly.
"Imagined?" I pant out, still wrung from my intense orgasm.
He simply nods, flipping over me so he was settled between my bare thighs. "But I think I need to taste it firsthand," He leans down, pressing a soft kiss to my sternum before beginning his descent, trailing delicate kisses down my stomach as he guides my legs over his shoulders, his head now trapped between my knees.
He rubs up and down my thighs, settling himself between them as he reaches the hood of my clit, dancing his tongue down it and without warning digging the pink muscle into my overstimulated clit.
I gasped, my hands going into his hair, grasping as he began kissing down my folds, soaking the lower half of his face. He wastes no time, eager to feel me writhe against his tongue.
I stare down at him in anticipation and he holds the eye contact. His hazel gaze was intense, so passion-filled that it gave me hope that this was more than just a one-time thing.
"Please," I mutter.
"Keep your eyes on me, alright love?" His breath was hot against my puffy pussy, it had been so distracting that I almost didn't hear what he said. But I nodded.
"Okay," I said shakily and before I knew it he leaned down, his lips meeting my entrance as his tongue entered my cunt with ease from him stretching me out with his fingers previously.
I gasped at the sensation, his tongue expertly flicking inside of me as he forced the impressive length of it inside of me.
"Az," I gripe, arching my back and digging my head into the pillows as I pull at his dark locks. He continues the wicked action against my core despite my thighs clamping around his head. He didn't seem to care if he lost oxygen, all he wanted was to taste me deeper and provide me more pleasure until I was finding release on his tongue alone.
I could barely breathe, my legs jolting as he continued his exquisite torture against my throbbing entrance.
"Azriel, right there—" My words are cut off by the familiar ringing of my phone, and it was easily compared to my alarm because it had taken me out of my dream. He looks up at me from between my thighs, his eyes glinting with devilry.
"Pick it up," He coos, and my brows bunch.
"Are you crazy?" I whisper shout at him as if the phone might understand me.
"For you," He purrs, leaning down and pressing a gentle kiss to my clit. I grip the cushion of the couch at the return of pleasure but the incessant ringing continues and it takes me right out of it again. "Pick it up, or I'll stop." He threatens and I glare at him but he's unwavering. I groan, stretching my arm out to the side and grabbing my purse off the coffee table.
I keep my glare pinned on him as I fish my phone out of the side pocket. The screen lights up with Nelm's contact and my eyes widen, I turn the phone towards Azriel, showing him that I could most definitely not pick this call up. He nods encouragingly and I shake my head rapidly, my brows creased. He begins to pull away from between my legs but I wrap my legs around his neck. "Fuck you," I grit out.
"I plan on it." He smirks against my heat while I bring my phone to my ear, and answer the call.
"Hey, what's up?" I try to mask my voice to be as casual as possible, despite my roommate being between my bare legs.
"Where are you? It's half past seven," He said, slightly irked but I was too busy looking down at Azriel to notice.
"Oh no, was our date tonight?" I gasp in faux shock and Azriel smiles, his eyes lighting with what I knew would be a horrible idea.
"Uh, yeah. I texted you yesterday making sure we were still on?" Nelm said through the other line and I gritted my teeth. I'm so fucked.
"Something came up and texting you slipped my mind—" My breath hitched as Azriel's lips joined with my cunt. I look down at him with panic, mouthing 'no' at him but he doesn't listen.
"Are you alright?" He asked and I felt guilty because he genuinely seemed worried for me.
"Oh— I'm fine just," I struggle to come up with an excuse while Azriel was fucking the thoughts out of me with his tongue.
"Just an emergency happ— happened with my, uhm my roommate," I choke out and Azriel just looks up at me innocently, his hands gripping my thighs as he rolls his long tongue inside of me at a certain spot and I have to fight a moan from slipping past my lips.
"Oh, alright well I can stick around for a while if you think you'll be able to make it?" Nelm suggests from the other end of the line and I curse myself for ever leading this poor guy on when I was clearly not ready for any serious relationship while actively living with my crush.
"I'm so sorry but maybe we can reschedule— fuck," My words turn into curses as Azriel bites at my sensitive clit, silently telling me that my chances of going out with anyone but him were never going to happen. He soothes the bite with the flat of his tongue, circling it directly after with tight, rough movements. I arch into his face, writing into the mattress as I fight my moans off.
"That's fine, when are you free?" Nelm asks and I grit my teeth, shoving my head into the pillows.
"Mm, you know what? I'll just, I can text you my schedule and— and gods, I, I'll let you know when I'm free," I voice, my tone coming off all too whiny as I let a few moans slip through.
"Okay, good luck with whatever your roommate's emergency is." He mumbles, a slight sourness to his tone but who wouldn't be upset after someone flaked on them?
"Yeah, thanks— bye," I grit through my teeth and quickly pull the phone from my ear and hang up the phone.
A loud moan immediately escapes from my throat as soon as the phone shuts off. I let it slip from my hand and fall to the floor absentmindedly as Azriel continues his cruel work at my clit.
I grab him by the hair and pull him away from my heat. "Why did you do that to me?" I pant out, my cheeks flushing with humiliation. He only grins, his lips coated in my slick as his dimples make an appearance.
"Had to show him what's mine," He says, his eyes dark as he leans down once more, flicking his tongue through my folds greedily.
"And I hate sharing," He confesses, diving back into my pussy, his lips sealing against my entrance as he continued fucking me with his tongue, flicking it in and out of me, alternating between my clit and entrance creating an overwhelming amount of stimulation. I pull at his hair and he delights in the pain. I clench my legs around him tighter and I didn't even get the chance to warn him before I teeter over that edge and cum on his tongue.
I pant out for air but it's lost on me as my second climax greets me, hitting me much harder than the last and threatening to knock me out. I swore my ears started ringing for a moment as my vision went fuzzy. Pleasure bloomed through me in the most intense way, still buzzing at my fingertips as he pulled away from my cunt and slowly kissed up my stomach, my sternum, my neck, all the way back to my lips and once he got there I regained all of my senses and enough energy to kiss him back.
His hand came up to my jaw, thumb stroking along it with a soft touch like I was the most precious thing in the world. He pulls away, looking down at me with a prideful smirk.
"My pretty girl." He admired and something in his gaze told me this was so much more than just a hookup.
"You were jealous," I say and he smirks, placing a soft kiss on my lips and allowing me to taste myself once more.
"Of course I was," He murmurs, pulling away less than an inch, his nose still brushing against mine. "But can you blame me?" He asked. "I can't just watch the girl I'm in love with go on a date with some asshole named Nelm," He grumbled and I discarded the insult towards the kind man, focusing on his confession. Heat stained my cheeks in slight shock.
"You're in love with me?" I murmur in slight shock and he shakes his head in disbelief.
"Ever since I can remember." He admits and a small smile spreads over my lips. "Sorry, if that scares you." His voice turns soft and I can't help but crumble in his hold.
"No, I'm in love with you too," I say slightly nervously, and dimples grace his features.
"Oh, thank god." He sighs then leans down and presses his lips to mine harshly, holding a level of confidence that wasn't there before.
"Why don't we take this to the bedroom?" He suggests as he pulls away and my grin widens, I wrap my hands around the back of his neck excitedly.
"You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that," I hum, my legs wrapping around his hips.
"I think I have some idea," He says, his hips pressing into mine and at his words, I realize he's referring to his clothed bulge straining against his pants and rubbing against my folds. I flash a devilish smile.
"Then what are you waiting for?"

sweet nothing ft the fushigojos to make up for the last fic i wrote for them heh
gojo satoru was not made for domesticity. this has always been something you've known, something you've accepted.
you're just not sure that he has.
it's a little past midnight when he trudges into your bedroom, tired lines creasing his pretty face as he shuffles around the room. he greets you with a quiet hey, and a peck on the forehead before stripping off his uniform, tossing it into the basket with a little more force than necessary.
you raise a brow at him, but stay quiet as he stalks into the bathroom. in the years that you've been together, you've learned better than to back an emotionally repressed sorcerer into a corner and force him to say how he's feeling. especially one who’s just gotten back from assignment.
you try and fail to return to the novel you were reading, staring blankly at the page until gojo steps out. his hair is damp, a towel slung low around his waist as he digs around in the closet for underwear.
there’s no pageantry, no winks or eyebrow waggles or light teasing of, like what you see? stuff that would usually make you roll your eyes, but that you suddenly realize has been missing lately.
okay, something is definitely wrong.
so you shut your book, placing it on the nightstand as he crawls into bed next to you. he says nothing, simply reaching across you to flick off your lamp and plunge the room into darkness.
it’s with a heavy sigh that he rests his head in your lap, grabbing your hand and plopping it into his hair before hugging your legs.
"i can't go to okinawa with you guys tomorrow.”
“satoru,” you can’t help but frown, carding your fingers through his hair. “we’ve been planning this trip for months.”
“i know, i’m sorry,” he says, strained. “you should just take the kids without me. take shoko, or something. megumi’s already stocked up on his spf, and tsumiki was really looking forward to picking seashells—”
“satoru,” you interrupt when you catch his voice break. “are you— are you okay?”
he’s crying, you realize when he doesn’t respond, instead pushing his head deeper into your lap, muttering, “no.”
“talk to me,” you murmur, smoothing your hand down his spine.
"i don't want the kids to think that i didn't want to go."
"you've been talking about seeing me in a bikini for weeks, i think they know how badly you wanted to go."
your comment pulls a small laugh out of him, but it's still interrupted by a sniffle.
"what's this really about?" you ask softly.
"i've been...missing things lately," he mutters quietly. "little league games, piano recitals, science fairs. i leave before they're awake, i get back when they're about to go to bed."
sorcerers who are referred to as 'the strongest' don't get days off. they go where they're needed, when they're needed.
"you know they don't hold any of that against you."
"i know," he says, sitting up to look at you. "but i don't want them - or you - to feel like i'm not choosing you. because i would, but i can't. and i'm just tired. of all of it--"
you wrap your arms around him when his voice breaks once more, pulling him into a hug. he reciprocates immediately, hiding his face in the crook of your neck as he releases a shaky sigh.
"it's not just about being there for the big things," you murmur. "it's about...being there when they need you to be. i can't hit a baseball to save my life, so you're the one who takes them the park to practice. you're the one who taught tsumiki how to read sheet music, and found a way to explain the concept of infinity to a ten year old so he could win the science fair."
without him, there would be no little league games, piano recitals, or science fairs to attend.
"besides, we can always go on vacation some other time," you assure him, rubbing circles across his back. "it's not worth it if you're not with us."
_____
satoru wakes to the sound of muffled laughter. a quick glance at the alarm clock on his nightstand confirms that it's 7am.
the lack of warmth pressed into his side tells him you're up too. it's rare that anyone is awake before he is, especially on weekends or days that he's set to depart. he can hear bits of your conversation with the kids as he gets ready for the day, changing into his uniform and shoving clothes into a bag.
"what shape should i try to make?" he hears you ask. ah, you must be making pancakes.
"a heart!" tsumiki suggests.
"japan!" megumi argues.
he knows you're going to make both. you're doing so when he saunters onto the scene, humming along to whatever song tsumiki's put on the record player as you drop chocolate chips into the batter.
he sweeps your hair away from your neck, dipping his head down to press a kiss to the nape of your neck.
then he turns to the kids, who are in the process of setting the table. "did, uh, you guys already talk about okinawa?"
tsumiki nods, but megumi just shrugs, wrinkling his nose. "there are a lot of jellyfish there anyway."
he of course goes on to inform everyone of the different kinds of jellyfish and all the horrible ways they could kill you. tsumiki chimes in to say that they won't attack unless they're bothered.
you press a mug of coffee into his hand, standing on the tip of your toes to kiss to his cheek before joining the kids at the table with a plate of pancakes.
the scene that unfolds in front of him is a simple one, but one that he's dreamed of all his life. a family sitting together for a meal, laughing and chatting about things that don't really matter.
the world's always going to need him. but this? this is all he needs.
because gojo satoru wasn't made for domesticity, but for his family? he'll try.

hi your fics are so amazing!!
if you’re open to requests, i was wondering if you could write a lestat x louis x reader fic that takes place during their huge fight in the townhouse? i can imagine the reader being a mother figure to claudia and trying to protect her during it and getting hurt in the process of trying to break up louis and lestat. i’d love to see how the reader deals with the aftermath of her and louis’ injuries as well as claudia taking care of the two of them.
sorry if its confusing😭 i thought of this while rewatching s1
For The Love Of A Daughter | Lestat x Reader x Louis
ෆ out of fear, lestat does the unimaginable and has to try his hardest to win his family's trust back, but it may be too late
the comparison of s1 vs s2 of this scene had me on the edge of my seat 🥺 ⚠️ THIS IS S1 E5 ‼️
How did your once beautiful family go to ruins? When Claudia was created? When she rebelled? Or when she left? Your daughter, you would go to hell and back for her, yet, you couldn't convince her to stay.
Lestat was cruelly strict with her, invading her privacy by reading her diaries, not considering the fact that she was trapped in the early stages of puberty for an eternity. She couldn't help that she was a young girl stuck in this body, and he never let her forget or made it easier on her.
Louis, he'd always been passive, about your companionship, as well as his role as a parent. He wanted to keep the peace and harmony. If that meant allowing Lestat to discipline her, then he’d turn his head to not have to watch out of guilt.
Then you, Lestat often complained that you spoiled her too much. You never raised a finger to her, nor your voice. You hadn't been brought up that way, and so you did the same with her. You still remember the night she left. Packing only a few things, while you and Louis tried convincing her to stay. Standing her ground, she gave you both a hug, letting the wind carry her away.
Seven years flew by, silence made its way into the house that no longer felt like a home. Louis nose-deep in book after book, Lestat leaving going god knows where, while you remained secluded, drawing, reading, and sometimes staring at the wall.
Tonight was a rarity, Lestat wasn't running off, and Louis sat on the sofa, reading, while you sat in a chair, your head lying on your arm, taking in the soft jazz music.
Hearing the door open, Claudia entered, setting her suitcase on the floor. Rushing over, you wrapped your arms around her, rocking back and forth. Pulling away, your heart broke as Louis hugged her tightly. He too had been taking it so hard, since she had been gone. Abruptly, the music stopped, Lestat glaring at her.
“The prodigal daughter”
“I've come to apologize, I put all of you in a bad spot, I wasn't right in my head. I am now,” she said. You couldn't put your finger on it, but there was something different about her, a certain brokenness, she was trying to shut away.
“Apology not accepted,” Lestat said.
“How was college? Magna cum? Summa cum? Phi Beta Kappa?” he continued.
“I've read a lot of books. Started with Persia and Babylon, the old gods who longed for blood. A lot of it was popcorn, but a few old tomes. A Romanian tract on vampirs. A strange old Hungarian text, ‘Masticatione Mortuorum,’ the chewing dead. I plan to leave for that part of the world as soon as I can,” she told him. You and Louis shared a look, sensing that this wasn't headed in a positive direction.
“So, quick stop home to do laundry before you fuck off for good,” Lestat spat.
“A quick stop to pick up my mama and Louis,” she told him. Your hand went to your stomach, trying to control the unsettling nervousness building up. Lestat glanced at the two of you, before glaring at her in disgust.
“Oh, Perused a few folklore anthologies, and now you're going to cross the ocean and take on a society of monsters,” he said, slowly making his way towards her.
“If what I've read is lies, then tell me what's true,” she told him, but he only continued to stare at her as if she was beneath him.
“Seven years and what’s changed, other than you need a housekeeper?” she sneered. He slowly approached her, and as you were about to step forward to intervene, Louis grabbed your hand, discreetly shaking his head.
“The vampires out there…are vicious. Oh, but you've learned that already. Who did you meet out there in the American hinterland? Read her,” Lestat looked at the two of you, walking away. Staring at her, you quickly wiped the tear from your eye, you couldn't imagine what she had been through all on her own.
“That’s it, keep 'em scared. That's his way,” she said to you both.
“The vampires in Europe are much, much worse”
“But I think he's scared,” she spoke over him.
“I never asked, how did Charlie taste? Like the love you'll never really know,” he said, trying to get under her skin.
“And when he's scared, he ridicules”
“She was a destitute little girl, destined to live an inconsequential little life,” he said, approaching the both of you.
“And we took it from her, we cursed her,” Louis said, making the smug expression drop from his face. Looking at you, his frown deepened, seeing you gaze at her, the bloody tears moments from seeping out.
“Come with me!” she called out, both of you staring at her.
“Come with me, mama, Louis”
“Louis, Y/n,” Lestat said, becoming angry as neither of you looked at him.
“I thought I could live without either of you, but I was wrong,” Claudia said, her eyes pleading for you to come along.
“Y/n, Louis”
“Louis, Y/n,” Lestat continued, raising his voice.
“His love is a small box he keeps you both in, don't stay in it,” she said, as you glanced at him.
“A thousand nights of sulking, and the first sight of her, you are just gonna up and leave me?!” Lestat yelled.
“Please, come with me! Let’s be vampires worth of your love!” Claudia screamed before Lestat surged, choking her.
“Get off of her,” you said, going to shove him off of her. However, he was much stronger, gaining the upper hand, his fingers wrapping around your throat, he looked unrecognizable.
“You, always choosing her,” he spat, before Louis charged over, tackling him.
As they fought, Claudia screamed, panicking, as you tried to keep up with them. Throwing Louis in the living room. Lestat straddled him, punching him in the face.
“Lestat, stop it,” you cried out, jumping on his back, but he easily slung you across the room, as you smashed into the wall, you could feel your arm already broken.
“Claudia, stay down here,” you told her, rushing to the bedroom.
“Stop fighting,” you screamed, as they continued tackling each other.
“Let him go,” you hear Claudia crying.
“It’s alright, you stay where you're at,” Louis told her, as if he wasn't completely bruised up.
“You're going to choose her too? Leave me for her when she left you both, I’ve been here,” he told you, as you slowly backed away, unsure of what he'd do next.
“Lestat st-
“Do not tell me what to do,” he told you, wrapping his hand around your throat, and pulling you close. His nails were in your skin, with your airway completely blocked.
Dragging both of you downstairs, and outside, you could hear Claudia running.
“I fought myself a million times, fought my nature, controlled my temper. I never once harmed either of you,” he said.
“Let him go,” you cried, hoarsely, trying to claw at his hand, while reaching for Louis.
“Silence,” he told you.
“Uncle Les”
“It's Uncle Les, now suddenly?”
“Let them go, they didn't do nothin’, let them go, it's me you want,” you could hear her steps approaching.
“Listen to me, and listen very carefully my infant death, it was never you. No matter how much your mama made you think otherwise,” he spat, crushing your throat, and dragging you both out into the road.
“I chose you, and you, given you the dark gift and you've betrayed me,” he said, biting into your neck, draining almost every ounce of blood from your body, before throwing you, watching as you flew into the backyard, colliding with bricks, you could feel your rib cage shatter.
However, as you stood up, you quickly fell to your knees in pain and fear for Louis’s life, watching as they flew into the sky to the point where they were no longer seen.
“Mama, are you alright?” Claudia ran to you, reaching for her hand, your other hand on your throat. You couldn't speak, Lestat’s nails had managed to pierce through. Claudia gasped, as you coughed, blood spilling out.
“Are you okay?” you asked.
“I’m okay, we just need to get Louis,” she said, helping you stand, however, just as you stood, Louis fell from the sky, hitting the ground. Limping over, you were afraid to touch him, the slightest touch looked as if it would break him even more.
Crying, you looked up, staring into Lestat’s eyes as he flew over you all, not saying a word. You couldn't say it, but from your expression, there was no way you could easily forgive him after this.
Healing was a struggle, not just from the physical damage, but any previous trust was gone. While you managed to bounce back within a few months, Louis had a long way to go. Lestat skipped town and hadn't bothered to show his face.
You avoided thinking about him, altogether. Dedicating yourself to Claudia and Louis, from coffin-bound to limping, every day was progress. Louis was slowly getting better and you both worked on strengthing your bond with Claudia. Then the calls started coming.
All of this time, you managed to push through the soreness and pain, but the moment he called you hid away, licking your eternal wounds. He was a completely different person that night, the things he said, the things he'd done. After Louis fully healed, you were no longer opposed to the idea of leaving for Europe with Claudia.
Hearing the doorbell ringing, you turned your head, watching as Claudia went outside. You could hear his voice, he had gifts, and he wanted to talk, to apologize. Louis went upstairs, throwing his coffin out of the window, you couldn't help but snicker.
“There’s your answer”
“And where is Y/n? I know she would enjoy these paints, they are rare. I paid quite a price because I knew she would make the most beautiful-
“My mama ain't got nothin’ to say to you, like you said, she betrayed you, choosing me,” she told him, shutting the door, and locking it.
Coming back to the living room, she glanced your way before to Louis, who came from upstairs. As Louis sat next to you, you pulled him close.
“You okay?” you asked him.
“Getting there,” he mumbled, smiling as you kissed his cheek.
Lestat didn't show his face anymore, but the gifts never stopped. Each time more spontaneous than the next, and while you knew, Louis was becoming weaker, you wished you could say the same for yourself.
“Emily Dickinson is not a vampire,” Louis said, as you laughed.
“How do you know?” she asked.
“Because she is dead,” you pointed out.
“How do you know?”
“She got a grave,” Louis said.
“And a tombstone,” you added.
“So do you,” She told Louis, all of you laughing, afterward.
As you crossed the streets, the driver honked their horn, as they slowly came to a stop in front of you. Opening the door, Lestat climbed out, smiling at you all. Rolling your eyes, you simply looked the other way.
“25 horsepower Rolls-Royce six-cylinder engine and a front end they call a coffin nose, is that rich? This one’s yours, mine’s back at home in blue,” he said, showing off the new car, and tossing the keys to Louis.
“I know how much you despise driving, so I got you other things, the finest fabrics, books, art supplies, and music, waiting for you at home, I'm back in town permanently,” he continued, looking your way, but you just stared off to the side, as if you didn't see him.
“Were you gone?” Claudia asked him.
“Across the river, in Algiers,” he said, you could still feel his eyes on the two of you.
“You know who lives in Algiers” Claudia said to you, as you clenched your jaw.
“I don't know what possessed me that night,” he said.
“Three years ago, that night, three years ago, he means,” Claudia corrected him.
“I was someone I don't want to be anymore. I've changed. Let me prove it to you. I’m nothing without you. I’m nothing without any of you”
“If you want me to go away, just say so. I’ll obey you. I’ll leave your lives forever. This silence is cruel, all I ask is that Y/n looks at me. You haven't spared me a glance since I've been here. Neither of you were ever cruel, don't let our situation change you,” he said.
“Just look at him,” Louis pleaded.
Turning to face him, he cleared his throat, straightening his posture. You didn't say anything, emotionlessly staring at him.
“You look stunning as always, ma chérie,” he complimented, his heart breaking as you looked away again.
Taking the keys, Claudia threw them, before scratching the car, reaching for your hand, walking away.
Six years, came and went, and more gifts flooded the house. It was unspoken between you and Louis that you both missed him. Although it looked different, Louis wanted him to come running back, each extravagant, but sentimental gift was tugging more and more at Louis’s heart. You preferred the distance, reminiscing on the past, before that night. You didn't think you could have that back, now, you secretly enjoyed every time he saw you, or wrote to you, begging that you would acknowledge him.
Unexpectedly, it happened, the record came in the mail and was immediately played. The song meant to win you both back while pissing you off, a song sung by his affair partner. Louis was seething, grabbing the record, and ran out of the house.
“You're not going with him?” Claudia asked.
“They will be back,” you mumbled, knowing his plan worked, he got through to Louis and would be coming back.
“Rule number four-
“Kill Antoinette”
“Antoinette is my own private-
“Affair,” Claudia said.
“Said child, interfering in the romantic lives of her parents,” Lestat said, wanting one of you to stop her. She had been sharp with him since the moment he stepped into the house.
“She will be 33 soon, far from a child,” you reminded him, rolling your eyes.
“It’s a lick and a promise in vampire years,” he shrugged.
“Maybe, but I am not your child anymore, that's rule number five,” Claudia said, catching his attention.
His eyes shifted from her to you, your interlocked hands. She had you, wrapped around her fingers, taken from him. Louis was more willing to work on the broken relationship, but you had shut him out, choosing your child.
“I’ll be your companion, your sister,” she told him, as he scoffed.
“It's not as simple as choosing a new family configuration, now I'm your cousin, now I'm your aunt, I am your maker,” he told her rudely.
“I’m going to bed, you said, standing abruptly, he looked into your cold eyes, searching for any emotion.
“Will you not lay down your rules, as well?” he asked, sarcastically.
“Good night,” was all you said, turning away, going upstairs.
“She needs time,” you could hear Louis say.
Did you need more time? You didn't go through nearly as much as Louis and he managed to forgive him, why couldn't you? You were never maternal until Claudia came along, perhaps it came with being a mother. The way that he treated her, turned you against him. As much as you loved him, thinking back to the times you were spoiled, lavished as if you were royalty, you couldn't bring yourself to open up.
Hunting became insufferable. Louis began drinking human blood, it was supposed to bring everyone closer, hunting as a family, but you kept your distance. He knew he'd wounded you, his choice of words hurting you just as bad, and he'd have to be more persistent to win you back.
“I wished you’d look at me, the simplest glance would help me a great deal,” he said, following you, sighing in relief as you faced him.
“Happy?”
“You have my heart at your will, your precious words command me, and I would do anything you ask of me,” he said, trying to fight the tears, as you slowly approached him.
“Take up your heart, I wouldn't want you to feel betrayed when I don't choose you,” you said, turning around, leaving him to stand there and try to gather his emotions.
“Could you at least try to compromise?” Louis asked you, as you looked through the different fabrics in the store.
“I am-
“No, you're not, you put your coffin in Claudia’s room, and the other night, whatever you said, he cried himself to sleep”
“Aw, poor baby,” you said, placing the fabrics into Louis’ arms.
“You agreed that we would work things out, everybody is compromising trying to work through our problems, we need you too,” he said, pouting, as you approached the cash register.
“Fine, I hate when you give me that look,” you playfully rolled your eyes at him.
“Thank you, I love you,” you grinned.
“I love you,” you laughed, pecking his lips.
Later that night, after putting away your things, and changing into your nightgown, you were about to into Claudia’s room, when you stopped. Huffing, you went to your shared bedroom, opening the door.
“Did she say anything? I left a note, but she never responds,” Lestat grumbled.
“I talked with her, but it is up to her to make a decision,” Louis said.
“I hope you don't expect us to squeeze that coffin,” you said, making both of them face you.
“We could always sleep in the bed,” Louis offered, both of them approaching you.
‘Thank you’ he said, as you faced Lestat.
“Will you keep that stupid look on your face, or will you speak?” you asked.
“I didn't know it was okay for me to do so,” he chuckled.
“Y/n is willing to compromise, she hasn't said it verbally, but she does still love you,” Louis spoke, as you stared at the two of them.
“Ma chérie, if I could take back what I've said, what I’ve done-
“But you can't”
“I can't, and I will have to live with the burden of knowing I hurt you and Louis both, your role in Claudia’s life was never a problem, I am sorry, my love,” he said, walking to you, falling to his knees in front of you. His head laid against your stomach, and he continued to apologize profusely.
“To have you look at me, after months of refusal, even if it is a look of anger, is to see heaven,” he said, looking up at you. Reaching for his hand, you helped him stand, pecking his lips. Holding your hand out for Louis, as soon as he was close enough, your lips were on his soft skin.
Pushing Lestat onto the bed, you straddled his lap, rolling your hips, as Louis stood behind you, kissing your neck. Leaning down, you wrapped your hands around his neck.
“I’ll forgive you, but if you ever do anything remotely similar, I’ll make sure you burn in the sun, and I’ll wear you as makeup,” you said, making him smirk.
“Anything you say, although the thought of me being on your face, arouses me greatly,” he said, watching as you pulled Louis onto the bed, moving over to him.
Your nearly decade-long monogamy had now come to an end, sharing the night with Louis and Lestat. You had forgotten how spontaneous he was, managing to pleasure both of you.
‘Have you taken him back, like Louis?’ Claudia asked.
‘For now’ you thought, as Lestat kissed along your shoulder blade.
‘Do you think Louis will help?’
‘He will’
‘Do you think it will work?’
‘I don't know, my child, but we will try’
‘We can do it, mama, he wants to keep you and Louis for himself, he hates me and would probably kill me if it meant having you both alone’
‘I know’
Now lying in bed, Lestat in between you and Louis, both of you in his arms.
“I hope you will allow me to continue to prove myself to you, and I am lost without either of you, I feel empty without you both here with me, I love you,” he spoke, you couldn't deny the way your heart fluttered.
“Then it is official, we will kill Lestat’
‘And if our plan doesn't work?’
‘Then we escape to Europe, we find other vampires, and we rebuild our lives there, does that sound okay?”
‘It sounds perfect’
‘Great, good night mama’
‘Good night, my child’
Looking up at Lestat’s face, he lay peacefully, his eyes shut, face relaxed. He was incredibly handsome, you didn't dare tell Claudia but coming to this room, you were just as weak as Louis. Would you be able to kill this beautiful man, the love of your life? Or run away and live an eternity with your daughter? You couldn't decide anymore, only time would tell.
brotha eughhh, this was so mid

Tension was lingering in the air as you eyed Jack as he walked into your shared bedroom. The argument that had taken place earlier left the two of you not speaking to one another since early in the afternoon. You wanted to put an end to it because the last thing that you ever wanted to do was fight with your husband.
“Um, babe? Where are you going?” You asked as you sat up from your position on the couch in the corner of the bedroom as you saw him getting an outfit together.
“The Hub. I'm doing a set.” He quietly responded as he took off his shirt and threw it into the hamper without bothering to look over at you.
“Since when? You didn't tell me that.”
“Aren't you going out with Taylor? I only did it because I thought you told me you would be with her. Besides I do recall earlier you saying that you didn't want to be around me. So I'm doing what I was told.”
“Well that was earlier and I want to call a truce. You had an entire attitude with me for no reason. But no, she had to reschedule. I thought we could stay in with it being just us. We haven't had a night to ourselves in a while.” You told him as he walked over towards you with an expression on his face that you couldn't quite read.
“Y/N, I dropped the triplets off with my parents so I could go.”
“I-... not you calling me by my first name. Well, can't you do it another day?” You asked as you wrapped your arms around him. But it didn’t look like you were about to change his mind.
“When I stop being mad at you, that's when your name goes back to being baby. And no, I already told them I was coming.” He replied as he moved your hands away from him.
“But…”
“I have to get ready so I won't be late. Call hot chips and bad decisions.”
“They're busy and I want my husband.”
“Hmm, tough because you said the opposite earlier.” Jack replied as he walked away from you and headed towards the bathroom as you rolled your eyes.
“I know you rolled your eyes at me and if you keep doing it they're going to get stuck like that.”
“You weren't even looking at me!”
“Doesn't matter. How long have I known my wife? Since I was fourteen? I know you like the back of my hand.”
A few minutes later, you heard the shower turn on and you went back to reading your book as you sighed. This had been your first night without the triplets in a while and as much as you were trying to take advantage of it, your husband wasn't budging.
When Jack walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, you slowly lowered your book so that you could look at him. He wasn't paying you any attention and it made you feel some type of way.
“Smush?”
“Yes?”
“You still have an attitude with me but I want a kiss.”
“You'll get one before I leave and no I don't.”
“Yes you do! And you NEVER deny giving me kisses. Stop being mad at me!” You whined as you put your book down next to you and pouted as you crossed your arms.
“No one is denying you anything. I'm trying to hurry up so I won't be late.”
“You hate me.”
As those words left your mouth, Jack slowly turned his head to look at you and gave you a blank stare.
“If I hated you, we wouldn't be married. Stop saying stupid shit that isn't true. Starting to piss me off all over again.”
You made a face at him before proceeding to pick up your book once more to let Jack finish getting ready. When he was fully dressed, you got a whiff of his cologne as he put it on and it immediately made you stop in your tracks.
Got damn he smelled good.
“Is that new?” You asked him and all he did was shake his head no.
“I've had it for a while, just never used it. Got it in Cannes.”
As Jack turned around to come towards you, he was startled as he noticed that you were now next to him and wrapped your arms around him once more.
“Who are you wearing that for!?”
“Do not fucking start.”
“That smells really good. Can I have my kiss now or multiple? Or you can just take my clothes off too. Whatever works.” You said as you squeezed him tighter.
“I… what?”
“I don't want you to leave.”
“I'm giving you a kiss and then I'll see you when I come back but you'll probably be asleep.”
“But…”
“Take it or leave it.”
“Fine.” You mumbled as Jack leaned down to kiss you and you made sure to keep a tight hold on him. He noticed that you wouldn't let him go and simply placed several more kisses on your lips.
“Y/N, I can't go anywhere if you don't let me leave.”
“I know that's the entire point. How long will you be gone? And stop calling me Y/N!”
“Not that long. The sooner you let me go, the sooner I come back and that was the name you were given at birth.”
“Actually it wasn't, but that's a whole nother story. My mother, well grandmother changed it. But I don't think you need to go anywhere anymore.”
Jack let out a frustrated sigh as he wiggled out of your grasp.
All you did was go and stand in front of the bedroom door and cross your arms.
“What…. What are you doing?”
“Standing here so you can't leave.”
“That's cute. Really cute actually.”
“I'm not cute, I'm horny and you are NOT fulfilling your duties as my husband!” You explained to him and he did not look impressed.
“Remember what you said earlier or do I have to remind you again?” He replied as he checked the time on his phone.
“Well that was earlier and now I want you to rearrange my guts.”
All Jack did was walk over towards you and you thought he was leaning down to kiss you, however he simply picked you up and moved you to the side but not before leaning down to whisper in your ear.
“Excuse me, little one.”
“I… JACKMAN!”
“See you when I get back and stop all that yelling.” Jack replied as he was walking down the steps and you were right behind him.
“Nooooo! We're not done here! Just put the tip in!”
“You are no better than a man, I swear.” As he went to open the door, you hugged him from behind.
“Babyyyyy! Pookie! Smush!”
“No.”
“Damn, you probably won't even let me suck your dick so I know you're mad at me. You probably put that cologne on to find another wife.”
“Your mouth gets you in so much damn trouble sometimes.” Jack responded as he turned around to see you looking up at him.
“But, it also gets me out of it.”
“Hmm.”
“Hmm, what?”
Before he responded to you, he took hold of your neck and lightly squeezed it.
“I will put you through the fucking mattress and you won't be able to walk properly for a week if you keep playing with me.”
You couldn't help but to smirk at him knowing that it would piss him off more.
“Who's playing, babe? Certainly not me. You got your wife so wet right now and she can't understand for the life of her why you won't do anything about it.”
By this point, you knew he was completely done with you with the way his neck vein was protruding, indicating his frustration.
“Don't you want to see how wet I am?” You asked as you grabbed his hand and moved it to the waistband of your shorts.
When you heard him sigh, you knew that you had won.
“Get on the couch and do not making a fucking sound or I'll stop. Face down, ass up. I have ten minutes.”
“Yesssss! I knew you'd fold. With the way things are going, you're probably going to make me come undone in five.”
“This doesn't change anything and I’m still mad at you.”
“We'll see about that in ten minutes.”
“I'm definitely wearing this cologne every day if this is your reaction to it.”
“Jackman, we will end up with twenty children if you do that.”
“Doesn't bother me. I love how you look when you're pregnant. And your boobs will probably get even bigger so it's a win for me.”
“Hmm, just like a man.” You mumbled as you rolled your eyes as the two of you were now on the couch.
“Well you were yelling at me to just put the tip in earlier so you aren't any better.”
“And I'd do it again too.”

Nico is a baby (in love), Bianca is alive
Inspired by one of the posts I've recently reblogged.
Gods, I haven't made these in a while...
*knock knock*
Thalia: Oh, hey, Nico.
Nico: Is Bia in?
Thalia: Yeah, just a sec. Bianca!!
Bianca: Yes? *notices Nico* Oh, hi, Nico.
Nico: Hi. Can you two do me a favor?
Bianca: Uhh *looks at Thalia*
Thalia: What's up?
Nico: So, as you guys may know, tomorrow is my anniversary with Will.
Bianca: Yes, we're aware. You've been nonstop planning for days.
Nico: Anyway, I wanted to ask if it would be possible for you guys to make sure no one interrupts us? Like, nothing too elaborate. But make sure there's no medical emergencies?
Bianca and Thalia: *look at each other*
Thalia: Yeah, okay. Leave it to us, kiddo.
Nico: *sighs in relief* Thanks, guys.
The next Day:
Will: Huh. Look at that! Nearly 3 pm and I havent gotten an emergency call to the infirmary. Can you believe that?
Nico: See? I told you we'd be okay
Will: Yeah, okay. You were right *kisses his cheek*
Meanwhile:
Thalia:
Hermes Cabin:
Travis: Hey, Thalia
Thalia: What?
Travis: We just got a package. They said it's just by the camp gate.
Thalia: Peyton, go get their package
Peyton: On it.
Travis: Thank you.
Hermes Cabin Camper: This is stupid. You can't just keep us in here the whole day.
Thalia: We can and we will.
Hermes Cabin Camper: We'd like to see you try.
Thalia: Sit your ass down.
Hermes Cabin Camper: Yes, mam.
Meanwhile:
Kayla: And be sure to eat something before you take the medicine.
Camper: Thanks, Kayla.
Kayla: Sure, no prob.
Greta (HoA, child of Apollo): Hey.
Austin: Hey. Kayla! Greta's back.
Greta: So, rundown: Ares boy scraped his knee so I applied betadine and patched him up. Aphrodite girl needed some dysmenorrhoea meds. And this Hephastus kid got 1st degree burns on his arm. I poured as much cold water as I could on it and wrapped it a towel so here he is.
Austin: Alright. Thanks, Greta
Greta: Sure, no prob.
Meanwhile:
Percy:
Bianca: *reading a book*
Percy: Can I just-
Bianca: No.
Percy: But I-
Bianca: No.
*knock knock*
Bianca: Who is it?
Annabeth: It's Annabeth.
Bianca: *opens the door* Hi, Annabeth. Sorry, Percy's on lockdown right now.
Annabeth: Why?
Bianca: Short version is that today is Will and Nico's anniversary and we don't trust Percy to not cause chaos today that doesn't end up with anyone in the infirmary.
Annabeth: ...I see...want me to help?
Bianca: That'd be great, thanks.

Oh! Duh, I have an awesome hc theme I've been toying with since I'm planning that fic.
How Dammon, Zevlor, and Rolan (or any other tieflings you'd like to add) would handle a human friend for SO asking about their fiendish traits (horns, tails, eyes, claws). They're hoping for a closer look or even maybe to touch. They've never met or been near a tiefling before. They've of course very polite and even a bit bashful, not wanting to make them uncomfortable. Feel free to throw some nsfw if you want. 💙
This was an absolute blast to write, it's not a secret that I love my tieflings infernal traits :)
I added in just a lil bit of NSFW as a treat, too
Light NSFW under the cut
The bachelors with a partner that wants to explore their tiefling traits
Dammon
Our lovely blacksmith is more than happy to let you have a better look at his infernal traits
Honestly, he finds the way you blush when you try and ask for permission so endearing
Lets you run your fingertips over his tail and horns, Dammon will offhandedly mention they're sensitive
If you bring up hearing that tieflings have ridges and bumps on their skin he'll offer to take off his shirt
You can see the way his breath hitches when you feel the ridges on your chest
Dammons never had so much attention centred on his infernal traits, he's honestly a little embarrassed
If your hand happens to drift nearer to his waistband then he'll be embarrassed for a whole different reason
Once you get to this point, just a single insinuation that you're curious what the rest of a tiefling looks like is enough to get Dammon into bed
He absolutely chuckles at the surprised way you look at his dick, he takes your hand to help you wrap it around him too
By the end of the night you'll be very familiar with tiefling anatomy-
Zevlor
Things go much slower with Zevlor
He's happy to let you feel over his horns and ears, or look into his eyes even if it was a little embarrassing
You'll even be able to feel his tail on occasion, even if you aren't dating him
It's only once the two of you are together and you're reading one of his books on tieflings that you ask if he really has ridges and bumps all over his body
He stumbles over his words a little bit before confirming that they do have them on their bodies, but not quite covering every bit
I feel like you wouldn't see much of Zevlors skin until you two have sex for the first time
Afterwards, while the two of you are lounging in your bed with your bodies pleasantly aching
That's when you can run your fingers over his chest and shoulders to see how they feel
And, surprising you both, Zevlor will start purring
It's then that he runs his own hands over your skin and explains more of his anatomy to you
Particularly about purring, and why tieflings do it
This entire time his tail will absolutely be wrapped around you, likely one of your legs
Rolan
If you show any curiosity for his infernal traits in front of his siblings then they're teasing you both endlessly
If you ask very nicely when in private then he'll let you feel his horns, but he grumbles the whole time
You can get a good feel of Rolans tail when he's tired because it's likely he's already wrapped it around you
And if you want to see the rest of him?
Like with Zevlor, having sex is probably your best chance
Honestly, just give his horns a firm tug while making out and he's snapping his fingers to magically strip you both
I can just see him lying you down on his bed as he pushes into you, taking your hands in his and running them over the ridges on his chest
Definitely teases you for wanting to feel him up
"Is it everything you hoped for, darling?"
Rolan loves when you trace your fingertips over each bump on his shoulders, he absolutely lies on top of your chest to give you easy access
He also looks the prettiest when his head is on your chest, sleepy eyes looking up at you while he purrs

SUMMARY: married life with eiland
COMMENTS: i've been thinking so hard about marrying this man i have two lawn chairs next to my mail box and a desk for him and a chest full of sweets for when we get married im planning ahead ahead i need him so bad
reader is compared to lady luck but they're not fem aligned.
It’s not uncommon for you to wake up in the morning to see Eiland curled up in bed, his reading glasses askew and a book opened over his face. You always remove the book gently, marking his page with a bookmark you keep handy on your nightstand and he thanks you profusely for it later. It’s not even that he stays up outrageously late, you just so happen to have a husband who is so dedicated to his research he can hardly put it down!
Although he would love nothing more than to have chocolate chip waffles with whipped cream and a hearty amount of syrup for breakfast, he is unfortunately bound by the knowledge that food like that has little nutrients and will not keep his precious spouse up and running throughout the day. Soft hands cut up fruits into hearts and stars, depositing them into one of your bowls with a proud smile as seasonal fruit pancakes sizzle on your stove. He takes pride in taking care of your needs. That is, after all, what a husband does! (Ignore the copious amount of times he messed up a dish...he's trying his best.)
Whenever he comes home after a meeting with his sister, he makes sure to ask your opinion on things. If it's something the two of you don’t agree on (much to his chagrin...yes, he pouts about it later) he will still report your honest opinion to Adeline. His sister can tell immediately if you agreed or disagreed with him based on his facial expression alone.
Eiland has a tendency to say things that can be taken in a flirtatious way, but are usually innocent. He still has not learned to watch his words with you even after years of marriage, calling you over to Louis’s stall to look at the beautiful wedding outfits and yapping about how lovely you would look in them. Oh Eiland, he has no idea what he’s implying!
Due to his hobbies, he is more of a help on the farm than some may think! You’re certainly going to have to walk him through ranching if he decides he wants to feed the animals, but he’ll pick up on how to plant seeds a lot faster. He’s quick work with a shovel and can figure out a hoe in no time flat! (He thinks you’re so cool and just wants to help out his lovely spouse, please let him.)
Without a doubt, you will get wrapped up in his Dungeons and Drama campaigns. He’ll be delighted if you make food based on the campaign and will brag for weeks about it. Be prepared to be referred to as the lovebirds when you come to the Inn on Friday’s! That’s simply how Mistria works I’m afraid.
Elsie is going to have the time of her life when the two of you get married. She’ll be on cloud nine, orbiting the two of you with well wishes and the most random gifts she insists you two need for your new life. It’s very sweet of her, even if you’re not entirely sure what you’d use a fondue pot for other than satisfying your husband’s raging appetite.
Daily trips to the Western Ruins and The Narrows are a must. Eiland likes to check in on the Museum, having been contributing to its upkeep for a long time now. If you find him starting a special set of armor tucked away in the back of the main area, don’t mind him. He’s just reminiscing on old times with you.
Eiland takes very good care of his skin and hair, and if you let him he’ll pamper you every morning and night. He tends to lose his sense of personal space when he does this though...his face will be very close to you. If you lean in to steal a kiss, he’ll jump and laugh, cheeks growing warm as you smile at him.
When he spaces out, he’ll reach out for your hand and start fiddling with your wedding ring. You’d think he’d fiddle with his own, but he likes feeling your knuckles under the pads of his fingers. Eiland will slowly come back down to Mistria at some point, his eyes focusing on his fingers against your skin and your soft smile shining upon him like Lady Luck herself. Truly, he got so lucky.

a/n: somehow someway I've become a George Weasley fanfiction account
request:
hiii!!! :)))
could you do a george weasley x reader?? where its their 6th year (they’ve been best friends since their first year along with fred and lee) and they go to the yule ball together as friends and use “to avoid going through the trouble of asking other people” as an excuse(but they like each other) while fred and lee are just like “whatever” and teasing george when the readers gone. they go to the yule ball and go through the night normally but its full of fluffy interactions! and in the end they find themselves out in the courtyard having a snowball fight alone, and george throws a snowball to the readers face so the reader pretends to be hurt to get him back. so she hits him with another snowball when hes all like “are you okay??” and she runs and he chases her and eventually grabs hold of her and theyre sort of just like staring at each other , UNTILLLL!!! they see that theyre under a mistletoe and george is like “well its bad luck if we dont right??? but if you dont want to its fine” and hes all jumbling and messing up his words then the reader just kisses him??? if not that totally fine!! thank youuu🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 also i love ur fics!!!

The fire crackled warmly in the hearth, casting a golden glow that danced across the stone walls of the Gryffindor common room. The rich, woody scent of burning logs filled the space, mingling with the faint hint of spiced cider from a nearby group of second-years playing Exploding Snap. Laughter and chatter wove through the air, wrapping around the room like a comforting, invisible blanket. The holiday spirit pulsed through the castle, buoyed by the anticipation of the Yule Ball just days away.
George Weasley lounged on a plush armchair near the fire, one leg dangling over the armrest in a way that seemed both careless and deliberate. His unruly red hair caught the firelight, each strand illuminated in a halo of copper and gold. The light accentuated the constellation of freckles scattered across his cheeks, and a grin played at his lips—a grin that spoke of mischief, warmth, and something more undefined.
On the thick, woven rug beside him, y/n sat cross-legged, her fingers absently turning the pages of a well-worn copy of The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 6. The edges of the pages were soft from use, the spine creased with the familiarity of late-night study sessions. Yet, her eyes kept straying to George, drawn to the easy way he inhabited the space, the small quirks of his expression, the way his laughter seemed to light up even the darkest corners of the common room.
A slow smile tugged at her lips when he stretched and let out a dramatic, over-the-top yawn, his hand sweeping above his head before coming to rest on his chest as if he were an actor on stage. She bit back a laugh, tucking it behind a closed-lipped smile.
“You know,” George’s voice broke through her pretense, teasing and laced with mock seriousness, “if you keep pretending to read that, I’m going to start thinking it’s more interesting than my company.” He tilted his head just enough for their eyes to meet, the soft firelight casting a shadow that deepened the blue in his gaze.
She rolled her eyes, snapping the book shut with a decisive thud. The sound resonated between them, punctuated by the warmth of the fire and the laughter that rippled in the distance.
“Maybe it is,” she countered, smirk firmly in place, though the playful glint in her eyes betrayed her. George’s grin widened, and he leaned forward, closing the small distance between them.
“Ouch, you wound me!” he exclaimed, pressing a hand to his chest in a performance that was almost believable. “Tell me then, oh wise one, who are you planning to dazzle at the Yule Ball?”
A snort of laughter escaped her as she reached out, giving him a light shove on the shoulder.
“Dazzle? Please. I’m just trying to make it through the night without tripping over my own feet. Anyway, I’m going with you, remember?” Her voice softened, a slight flutter in her chest as she added, “Strictly as friends, so we don’t have to deal with the hassle of finding dates.”
George’s grin faltered, just for a heartbeat, the flicker of something unspoken passing over his features. His eyes searched hers for a brief moment, as if weighing the distance between what they were and what they might be. Then, just as quickly, the sparkle returned, and he gave a lopsided smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes.
“Right, strictly as friends. Merlin forbid we actually try to impress anyone, eh?”
The conversation hovered on the edge of something deeper, but before she could respond, a familiar duo bounded over, their presence an explosion of energy and sound. Fred, carrying two mugs of steaming hot chocolate, wore his signature wide grin, eyes darting between George and Y/n with a knowing glint that promised trouble.
“Strictly as friends, you say?” Fred mimicked, raising an eyebrow with an exaggerated arch that nearly disappeared into his hairline. He handed one of the mugs to Lee, who appeared behind him, chuckling.
“Convenient, isn’t it?” Lee dropped into the chair beside George, sprawling as though he had just sat down to witness the punchline of a good joke. “I’m honestly shocked neither of you’s been swooped up yet. Hogwarts’ most eligible pranksters.”
George rolled his eyes, the tension from before dissolving as he shot a pointed look at Fred. “Jealous, are we? Don’t worry, Fred, maybe someone will take pity on you and agree to go.”
Fred gasped, clutching his chest with an exaggerated display of mock indignation. “Hey! I’m a catch!” He tossed a wink at Y/n, who finally let out a laugh, the warmth of it mixing with the fire’s crackle. Lee grinned, eyes darting between them as if trying to memorize the scene.
The laughter faded, settling into a gentle hum of contentment. George’s eyes found Y/n’s again, lingering a beat longer than he intended. The soft glow of the fire reflected in both their gazes, warming the space between them. This time, neither of them looked away, a silent acknowledgment shared that neither Fred’s teasing nor Lee’s jokes could break.
The common room buzzed around them, filled with holiday anticipation, but in that moment, the rest of the world seemed to shrink, leaving just the two of them, sitting side by side by the fire, waiting for what was to come.
The warmth of the fire had faded, replaced by the cool embrace of night as the castle succumbed to silence. The dormitory was unusually quiet, a rare lull that made every creak and rustle more pronounced. Moonlight filtered through the window, casting long, pale ribbons across the stone floor and the edges of the four-poster beds. The soft, rhythmic snores of George’s roommates filled the space, punctuating the stillness, but George remained wide awake. His eyes were fixed on the dark canopy above, the fabric appearing almost black, an empty mirror of the jumble in his mind.
He let out a quiet sigh, the sound lost in the heavy silence, and shifted restlessly. The old wooden frame of the bed groaned softly as he swung his legs over the side, letting his feet touch the cold stone floor. The chill shot through him, biting and grounding at once. George leaned forward, elbows on his knees, and rubbed the back of his neck where tension had settled like an unwanted weight.
Images of her danced behind his closed eyelids—flashes of laughter shared between classes, the way her eyes sparkled when she spoke animatedly about Quidditch tactics, the exasperated smile that always appeared after his worst jokes. Each memory was a small blaze, adding warmth and confusion in equal measure to the storm in his chest.
His fingers curled into fists at the edge of the mattress as he tried to make sense of it. For so many years, it had been easy between them. Their friendship was the one constant amidst the chaos of pranks, homework, and the unpredictable pulse of Hogwarts life. But now… now, that ease felt different, weighted with things unsaid.
A soft rustle from across the room pulled George from his thoughts. Fred stirred, rolling over with a sleepy mutter before propping himself up on one elbow. In the dim moonlight, his eyes, though half-lidded, were sharp with the keen awareness that came naturally to him.
“Pulling an all-nighter, are we?” Fred’s voice, low and slightly rough with sleep, cut through the quiet and made George jolt.
“Merlin, Fred,” George muttered, trying to shake off the surprise and the embarrassment that followed. “Go back to sleep.”
Fred sat up fully now, the sheets pooling around his waist as he squinted at his brother.
“Can’t. Not when I’ve got you brooding like a lost Puffskein in the middle of the night.” He paused, letting a knowing smirk creep onto his face. “Let me guess. Our lovely just friend, who also happens to be your date for the Ball?”
“Shut it, Fred,” George snapped, but there was no real heat in his voice, only the defensive edge of someone caught in the middle of his own tangled thoughts. He felt the flush rise to his neck, unwelcome and unavoidable. He turned his head away, the pale shaft of moonlight casting a shadow across his face.
Fred’s smirk softened, the playful edge replaced with a kind of quiet understanding that only came out when it mattered most.
“Oh, come on, George. It’s obvious. To everyone. Even Lee’s noticed,” he said, his voice low enough to keep from waking the others but laced with the weight of truth.
“Noticed what?” George’s question came out too quickly, betraying his own unease. The room seemed to shrink, the quiet pressing in, waiting for an answer he wasn’t sure he wanted to hear.
Fred’s eyes held an unusual seriousness as he leaned forward, arms crossed.
“That you look at her like she’s a Snitch you’ll never catch,” he said, each word cutting through George’s resistance. “And don’t tell me it’s nothing, because I know you.”
The admission sat heavily on George’s chest, an iron weight pressing against his ribs. He let out a long breath, eyes drifting to the narrow window. The grounds outside glistened in the moonlight, serene and untouched, in stark contrast to the unrest inside him. “I don’t want to ruin things, Fred. What if… what if I’m just seeing something that’s not there? She’s my best mate. What if saying something makes it all… weird?”
Fred’s smirk softened into a smile, genuine and stripped of his usual bravado. “Mate, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that the two of you are already weird. Weirdly close, weirdly perfect for each other. And if you don’t do anything, you’ll regret it.”
The words settled like a spell, sparking something that George hadn’t let himself name. He remembered the way she had looked at him earlier that day, when they’d joked about the Ball. The slight hesitation before she spoke, the way her smile lingered as though holding back something more. Maybe Fred was right. Maybe the risk was worth it.
But still, the doubts whispered, coiling at the back of his mind. George clenched his jaw, shoving them aside for now. He couldn’t solve it here, not in the middle of the night, not with the quiet pressing around him like a shroud. But he’d see how the Yule Ball played out. Maybe, just maybe, the moment would come when the words that stuck in his throat found their way out.
With a sigh, George lay back down, the mattress shifting under his weight. The darkness above him seemed a little less oppressive now, edged with the silver glow of moonlight and the faint hum of hope. Sleep crept in slowly, and for the first time in a while, the thought of trying felt less like a gamble and more like something he owed to himself.
And with that flicker of determination, his eyes finally closed, surrendering to the quiet.
—
The Great Hall had been transformed into a breathtaking scene that seemed to step out of a dream, a winter wonderland alive with magic. Enchanted icicles hung like delicate chandeliers from the vaulted ceiling, catching the flicker of torches and glowing softly with an otherworldly light. Snowflakes, conjured with such precision that they looked as fragile as real ones, drifted slowly down, swirling and twirling in the warm air before dissolving just above the heads of the assembled students. The tall, frost-tipped trees that framed the room sparkled with twinkling lights, their branches glistening as if they had been dipped in liquid stardust. A silvery luminescence bathed the entire hall, painting everything in shades of moonlight and frost.
The soft strains of the orchestra tuning their instruments filled the air, each note threading seamlessly through the murmured conversations and bursts of laughter that bounced off the stone walls. The festive energy buzzed with anticipation, as though even the walls of Hogwarts held their breath for the night to unfold.
Standing at the entrance, George Weasley shifted restlessly, tugging at the cuffs of his dress robes. The rich maroon fabric complemented the warmth of his hair, which he’d attempted to tame, only for it to retain its usual unruly charm. His gaze swept across the room, eyes catching on familiar faces and the glitter of gowns, until he saw her.
Descending the staircase, she was a vision that made time slow for a heartbeat. Her robes, chosen with impeccable taste, draped gracefully and shimmered with each step, catching the subtle light in a way that made her seem almost luminous. The color framed her eyes perfectly, deepening their sparkle, and George felt his breath catch as a surge of something both exhilarating and nerve-wracking gripped him. He shook it off just as she reached the bottom, his signature grin returning to mask the momentary lapse.
“Wow,” he said, his voice coming out lighter than he intended. A hint of awe clung to the word, making it more sincere. “I mean, you clean up pretty well for someone who trips over their own feet.”
Her cheeks flushed, and she laughed, the sound warm and familiar. She reached out and pushed him playfully on the shoulder, the touch light but sending a jolt through him that he hoped didn’t show. “And you don’t look half bad yourself, Weasley. Surprising, really.”
He opened his mouth, a witty comeback on the tip of his tongue, when Fred and Lee appeared in a flurry of movement, carrying with them an air of exaggerated theatrics. Fred’s grin was wide, eyes alight with mischief as he clapped George hard on the shoulder, nearly making him stumble. “And here they are, the legendary duo of ‘just friends,’ about to set the dance floor ablaze with their platonic presence,” he announced, loud enough to draw a few amused glances from nearby students.
Lee leaned in, smirk firmly in place as he added, “Bet five Galleons they don’t make it through the night without a confession,” just loud enough for them to hear. Y/n’s eyes widened, caught between embarrassment and amusement, while George shot them a glare that failed to mask the redness creeping up his neck.
“Keep your bets to yourselves,” George retorted, though the good-natured grin that followed took the sting out of the words. He turned back to Y/n, offering his arm with an exaggerated flourish. “Come on, let’s show these other blokes how it’s done.”
She looped her arm through his, fingers brushing in a way that made the air between them feel electric. The dance floor was a swirl of color and light, robes sweeping over the stone with the rhythm of the music. George led her into the first song with a mixture of confidence and playful clumsiness, moving to the beat with a grin that hinted at barely contained laughter. He spun her out with dramatic flair, her robes flaring around her, before pulling her back into an exaggerated dip that earned them both a chorus of laughter.
“You do know this isn’t one of those comedic skits, right?” she teased, eyes glinting with amusement as she straightened, breathless and glowing from the dance.
“Are you sure?” George shot back, a grin spreading across his face as he glanced toward the staff table. “Because I swear I just saw Snape attempting to smile, and if that’s not a joke, I don’t know what is.”
She laughed, the sound bright and infectious, and for a moment, the rest of the hall seemed to fade away. It was just the two of them, surrounded by a world that had taken on a soft blur, wrapped in laughter and stolen glances. And though the night was just beginning, George felt that this was the moment he would replay in his mind for days to come.
As the evening stretched on, the energy in the Great Hall shifted. The jubilant buzz of earlier dances mellowed, and the orchestra transitioned to softer, slower melodies. The enchanted icicles above shimmered in time with the gentle strains of the music, their soft glow casting an ethereal light across the room. Around them, couples drew closer, heads bent in whispered conversations, eyes reflecting the delicate twinkle of overhead lights. It felt as though the entire hall had exhaled, settling into a quiet, shared moment of intimacy.
George’s hand, warm and confident, rested lightly at Y/n’s waist, guiding her in the slow, steady movements of the dance. The contact was familiar yet startling in its effect, sending a warmth coursing up her spine that was as surprising as it was comforting. Their fingers intertwined, a natural fit that felt as if they had been meant to find each other in this way all along. The world outside their small circle seemed to blur; the music, the other dancers, the gentle snowflakes still falling from the enchanted ceiling—all of it softened into a background hum.
“So,” George said, his voice dipping to match the quiet notes around them. The usual spark of humor was still there, but something else tempered it, something that made his eyes hold hers a fraction longer. “Are we still surviving this without any major catastrophes?”
Y/n’s smile wavered, not from hesitation, but from the weight of the moment. The gentle teasing in his tone didn’t hide the question in his eyes, the one that had hovered unspoken between them for longer than either could admit. She squeezed his hand, fingers pressing into the spaces between his, feeling the steady thrum of his pulse beneath the surface.
“Surviving?” she echoed, her voice softening as a true smile curved her lips. “I’d say we’re doing better than that.”
The room around them seemed to still, the air heavy with something unnameable but tangible. George’s breath caught, and for a heartbeat, he was lost in the depth of her gaze, where laughter, comfort, and something deeper blended seamlessly. His mouth opened, words hovering on the cusp—words that he’d felt but never dared to voice.
But before he could speak, a familiar, boisterous voice pierced the fragile bubble of quiet. “Oi! Save the staring contest for later, lovebirds. Some of us are trying to dance over here!” Fred’s shout cut through the air, followed by a chorus of amused snickers and chuckles. Lee waved from the sidelines, a conspiratorial grin plastered on his face.
The spell shattered in an instant, and a rush of heat flooded George’s cheeks, spreading down to his neck. Y/n’s face mirrored his, flushed and wide-eyed with the sudden attention. Laughter bubbled around them, but even as the moment dissolved, neither moved away. Their hands remained linked, the space between them unchanged despite the laughter rippling through the hall.
George looked at her, the glint of embarrassment giving way to something more resolute. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, softer this time, and the promise in his eyes was clear: Fred’s teasing hadn’t broken anything that couldn’t be rebuilt, that couldn’t grow stronger. The warmth in her returning smile told him she understood perfectly.
The orchestra shifted into another slow tune, the light above them flickering like stars, and the two of them remained standing there, sharing a look that spoke volumes in the quiet language they’d always shared. The dance resumed around them, but their moment, despite the interruption, was only just beginning.
The Great Hall had grown louder and more lively as the night went on, but George and Y/n found themselves drifting toward a quieter corner, taking breaks from the dancing to catch their breath. They sat at a table with Lee, who had been eyeing George with a look that spoke of knowing amusement. The night was rich with laughter, interrupted by soft music that played in the background and the hum of conversations.
George leaned back in his chair, the air around him still tinged with the warmth of dancing. “I’m going to get some drinks,” he said, pushing himself up. His fingers brushed against Y/n’s for just a moment—a touch so brief it felt like a secret shared between them. She looked up, her eyes following him as he made his way through the crowd.
Fred took advantage of the moment, leaning forward with his trademark mischievous grin, an eyebrow raised. “You know, he’s had that stupid look on his face every time you’ve walked into a room since first year, right?”
A sudden rush of warmth flooded Y/n’s chest, her heart pounding unexpectedly. She forced a roll of her eyes, schooling her features into a semblance of playful annoyance. “Nice try, Fred. You’re not nearly as subtle as you think you are.”
Fred’s grin only widened, a sparkle of satisfaction lighting up his eyes. “Just trying to help move things along. You’ll thank me one day,” he said with a wink that made her laugh despite herself.
George returned moments later, holding two cups of punch. He settled into his seat, exhaling as he handed one to her, the corners of his lips tugging up when he noticed Fred and Lee high-fiving behind his back. He didn’t say anything, but a faint smile betrayed that he was more aware than he let on. The table fell into easy conversation, laughter spilling into the air, each teasing comment laced with warmth. What had started as a casual agreement to attend the Ball together began to feel like something more substantial—something both thrilling and a little terrifying.
Later, with the night deepening and the hall still aglow with the silvery charm of the decorations, George and Y/n slipped outside. The cold air greeted them, sharp and crisp, tinged with the clean scent of snow. The muffled sounds of music and laughter from inside drifted behind them, a distant memory compared to the stillness of the courtyard.
The moon hung low, bathing the scene in a silver wash that turned the snow into a canvas of glistening frost. Tiny ice crystals adorned the bare branches, catching the light and sparkling like stars. Their footsteps crunched softly over the snow, breaking the quiet as they walked further out.
“I needed a break from all the dancing,” Y/n said, her breath visible in the cold as she shivered lightly. A grin broke across her face as she looked up at George. “Not that I’m complaining. Your moves have improved since third year, I’ll give you that.”
George laughed, the sound rich and familiar, curling warmly in the cold air. “Oh, you mean the time I tripped over your foot and we both ended up in a heap at McGonagall’s feet?” He raised an eyebrow, leaning slightly closer. “I’ll have you know, that was all part of my strategy. Always keep your partner guessing.”
She laughed, the sound echoing off the stone walls and filling the quiet space between them. Their breaths mingled in the cold, little puffs that vanished as quickly as they appeared. The shared silence felt different out here, stretched under the starlit sky, charged with an unspoken anticipation.
Suddenly, Y/n bent down, the snow cold but malleable in her hands. With a twist and a quick flick of her wrist, she sent a snowball flying. It hit George squarely in the chest, powder exploding against his maroon dress robes and leaving a wide-eyed look of surprise on his face.
“Oi!” he exclaimed, laughter bubbling up almost immediately as he processed what had happened. Y/n stepped back, giggling, her eyes bright with mischief as she prepared to dodge whatever came next.
“You were asking for it!” she teased, already crouching to gather more snow.
“I’ll show you asking for it,” George said, his eyes alight with playful menace as he hurled a snowball that whizzed past Y/n’s head, narrowly missing as she ducked and darted behind a stone pillar. The courtyard rang with their laughter, the sound sharp and joyous in the crisp night air, echoing against the ancient stone walls. Each well-aimed throw was met with shrieks of delight or exaggerated groans of mock defeat, and every duck and dodge sent powdery bursts of snow scattering into the moonlit air.
George’s eyes narrowed with a look of determination as he formed another snowball and launched it with precision. This time, it clipped her shoulder, sending a flurry of snow cascading down her back. She stumbled, half-laughing and half-gasping, arms flailing dramatically. George straightened, triumphant, hands resting on his hips as he called out, “Victory is mine!”
But Y/n wasn’t one to admit defeat so easily. With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she collapsed to the ground, splaying herself out in an exaggerated pose of surrender. Her face was hidden by her hands, shoulders trembling as she suppressed a giggle.
A sharp pang of worry wiped the grin from George’s face, his heart stuttering as he took a cautious step forward. “Hey, are you alright?” he asked, his voice softening with concern. He dropped to one knee in the snow beside her, brows knitting together as he reached out.
Y/n’s shoulders shook again, and before he could register the telltale signs of suppressed laughter, she sprang up. With a triumphant laugh, she pressed a handful of snow directly into his face, the cold biting against his flushed skin and leaving him spluttering.
“Oh, you’re going to pay for that!” George shouted, shaking snow from his hair as a wicked grin replaced his earlier concern. Any hesitation was gone as he lunged forward, his arms reaching out. She shrieked, twisting away, but George was quicker. He caught her around the waist, lifting her off the ground in a burst of momentum. They stumbled together, the snow crunching beneath their feet, laughter mingling and dying into the quiet as they found balance.
The world seemed to still as George’s arms remained wrapped around her, holding her close. Their breath came in soft, visible puffs, mingling in the chilled air between them. The playful glint in his eyes softened, replaced by something deeper as he looked at her. The moon hung heavy above them, casting a silvery glow that outlined their faces, highlighting every stray snowflake clinging to their hair and lashes.
Their eyes flickered upward at the same time, drawn by a subtle sparkle in the night. There, hanging from a gnarled branch, was a sprig of enchanted mistletoe, its leaves glistening softly with magic. The sight sent a jolt of something unnameable through George’s chest, and a flush crept up his neck, turning his cheeks a deeper shade than the cold could account for.
“Well,” George said, his voice lower now, rougher, as if it carried the weight of unspoken words. “It’s bad luck if we don’t, right? But I mean, only if you want to—”
Before he could finish, she tilted her face up, eyes bright and steady, and closed the space between them. The first touch of their lips was tentative, light as the snow that drifted around them, but the warmth that surged through them banished any chill. George’s arms tightened, drawing her closer as he deepened the kiss, the weight of years of unvoiced wishes finally, blissfully, falling away.
They pulled back, eyes wide and searching, both breathless and a little awed by the moment. George’s grin returned, crooked and full of a confidence that felt renewed.
“I’ll take that as a yes, then.”
She laughed, soft and sure, the sound a balm in the quiet night. Leaning her forehead against his, she whispered,
“Yes.” The word was simple, but it was everything. The snow around them felt warmer, the winter air humming with a magic that had nothing to do with spells or enchantments. It was the kind of magic spun from shared laughter, quiet glances, and the realization that sometimes, the bravest thing was to reach out and hold on.
The cold bit at their exposed skin, sharp and bracing, but it mattered less now than it had moments before. George kept one arm loosely draped around Y/n, the lingering echo of their kiss warming the air between them. The courtyard, blanketed in pristine snow and illuminated by the silvery glow of the moon, felt vast and secretive—a space carved out just for them. The world beyond seemed a distant echo, muted by the quiet splendor of the winter night.
Y/n shifted back slightly, just enough to tip her head up and meet George’s eyes. The familiar spark was there, the playful glint that always spoke of mischief, but now it held something more profound, a depth that made her pulse quicken. The silence that enveloped them was not awkward but steeped in the kind of understanding they’d always shared, waiting patiently for its moment to be acknowledged.
“So,” she said, a teasing smile playing on her lips, “I guess this means we’re not *just friends* anymore, huh?”
George chuckled, the sound deep and warm, reverberating in the stillness. “I don’t think we’ve been *just friends* for a while now.” His hand lifted, brushing away a stray snowflake that clung to her hair, his fingers lingering long enough to make her breath hitch and her heart thud with renewed force.
Before the silence could deepen further, a shout cut through the cool air, loud and unmistakable. George turned, half-shielding Y/n as he squinted into the dim glow of the castle. From one of the high windows, Fred and Lee leaned out, their faces barely illuminated by the flickering torchlight. Fred’s voice boomed, full of triumphant humor.
“About time, you two! Do we need to send down a banner or something?”
Lee’s laughter rang out, sharp and infectious. “Make sure George doesn’t faint from all that bravery!”
Y/n’s laugh bubbled up, uncontainable and bright, while George groaned, the flush returning to his cheeks as he buried his face in one hand.
“I’m going to have to lock them in a broom cupboard one of these days,” he muttered, half to himself.
“Oh, come on,” she said, catching his hand and pulling it away, revealing the lopsided grin he couldn’t suppress. “They’ve been rooting for you.”
George let out a melodramatic sigh, but the fondness in his eyes was undeniable.
“Yeah, yeah. Just don’t let them hear you say that, or they’ll never let us live it down.”
The courtyard settled into silence once more as the laughter from the castle faded, leaving behind only the soft sounds of their breaths and the crunch of snow beneath their feet. The warmth between them felt as real and solid as the walls of the castle itself. George’s gaze softened, his voice dropping to a more serious note, carrying the weight of an admission.
“You know, I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time. Kiss you, I mean.”
Her eyes met his, the teasing spark replaced by something sincere, a smile that spoke more than words.
“I know,” she whispered, the honesty in her voice brushing against him like the lightest of touches. “Me too.”
Above them, a gentle snowfall began again, tiny flakes drifting down as if the sky itself had chosen to mark the moment. George tightened his hold, tucking her closer as they began to walk back toward the castle. Their footsteps left twin trails in the snow, side by side, a quiet testament to what had just unfolded.
“Think we’ll survive the teasing tomorrow?” she asked, the twinkle in her eyes mirrored by the soft glow of the moon.
George’s grin widened, confidence bubbling back to the surface.
“Not a chance,” he said, laughter underlining his words. “But it’ll be worth it.”
The warmth of the castle loomed ahead, its glow spilling out onto the snow as they stepped inside, bringing with them the magic of the night. Behind them, the snow fell gently, erasing their tracks and leaving only the memory of a story that had finally, beautifully, begun.

Little Brother
Paul Lahote x fem reader
Summary: reader has a little brother who is a shifter Warnings: some angst, I think there were some curse words A/N: So this was a request, sorry it took a while to get this out but school comes first ☺️. if anyone has a request, don't hesitate to ask me, I am open in doing them. There will be a second A/N in the end. Word count: 2k+
Researching for colleges is such a pain in the ass, why am I doing this again? Oh yea I want to be a Doctor, more specifically a Physician. I have been in my room for over 3 hours already looking at different pamphlets of schools that have caught my eye. I have a little brother to take care of so I have been looking at schools near La Push but there are not a lot of schools that have the program I am interested in. And little old me decided to also graduate from High School one year early so that I could have a gap year to save up money and to visit different universities. I've been dragging my little brother with me to these college visits for the reason we are close and I don't like going alone on these visits.
We are only 3 years apart but I still treat him like a small child, even if he is already slightly taller than me. I heard a sudden knock at my door and called out for them to come in. I sat up from the floor and saw my little brother walk in
“Hey Oli, what's up?”
“I just came to check on you, I haven't seen you in like days already and you missed dinner”
“Shoot, sorry, I didn't even know so much time has gone by, I been trying to narrow down my choices in colleges down to 5 but it has been a struggle but I did eat a sandwich earlier”
He nods
“Why don't you take a break and we can go walk at La Push?”
My eyes widen at the mention of the beach
“Sounds like a plan bro, meet me outside in 10 minutes”
He rolled his eyes playfully but walked outside nevertheless. I stood off the ground and got somewhat ready, I just needed a sweater and shoes. I left my room and went outside where Oliver was waiting, we then started to walk to the beach, it was literally over the the treeline of where we live so it didn't take long. I have been coming to this beach since I was born, and when Oliver was born I made sure he came as frequently as I did or sometimes I would sneak at night just to come see the moon over the ocean.
As we arrived at the beach I saw a group of boys and knew right away who they were, Sam Uley's pack. I went to school with them. I even had a class with some of the members but they always seem to annoy me with their loudness so I personally decided to stay away.
As we were walking Oliver asked me
“Do you know those guys?”
“Yes I do, why do you ask?”
“Just asking, you always look at them like they killed your dog or something”
I laughed
“Well there are just rowdy boys, and that annoys me you know?”
We kept on walking until someone shouted out “HEADS UP '', I grabbed Oliver instantly and pulled him down and saw a football flying over us. I stood up and walked over to the ball and looked at where it came from and I stiffen up when I saw it came from the pack, I grabbed the ball and threw it back to them immediately. I could hear one of the guys shout back “THANK YOU” which I just responded with a hand signal and walked off with Oliver.
“You know I'm surprised you didn't do sports in high or middle school, that was one heck of a throw, the distance you threw was easily a whole football field”
I rolled my eyes but wrapped an arm around his shoulders and ruffled his hair
“Oh yea? Easily a football field? You need to go touch the grass more often then, but I do got to agree it was a beautiful throw, an old friend of mine and I would practice throwing either a football or baseball in the backyard”
“I remember that, I preferred to sit at the porch and read a book while you two played”
“Such a bookworm, you know thats suppose to be me right, the amount of books I have read so far in the 17 years I have existed would blow your mind”
Chuckling he answered
“I'll take your word on that”
—-------------------------------------------------------
Recently Oliver has been a bit distant with me, I thought at first it was just him being busy with school and his new job he told me he got recently but I hardly see him at the house anymore. I have approached him multiple times but his response is always “I'm just busy living my life”. He always says it in this tone that is just bland and he doesn't sound like himself. I know I've been busy with applying to colleges and stuff but he's been like this for a couple of months now. It also appears he's been getting into shape, not only has he gotten taller out of the blue but he has muscles now and on top of that he cut his beautiful thick locks. It makes me think that maybe there is a girl he likes and he wants to impress her or maybe there is something else. I wish he would come up to me but for now I am giving him his space and hoping he will come up to me when he is ready.
I decided to go take a walk at La Push beach to just clear my mind from the stress of life for a bit. It has been a while since I've been here and I kind wish Oliver was here with me. As I am walking on the sand, I see a group of boys all shirtless and with jorts on close by. I knew right away it was Sam Uley's pack but then I saw a familiar figure amongst them. My eyes widen and before I even think twice I shout out his name
“Oliver!”
I saw him turn his head to me slowly and his face reflects my current face. I felt slightly betrayed and went up to the group of boys and confronted my little brother.
“The hell are you doing with these guys Oliver, I told you to stay away from them”
Sam was the one who spoke up
“Miss why don't you relax and leave Oliver alone”
I snap my gaze to him
“Excuse me? You don't get to tell me what to do when it comes to my little brother, that is between me and him. Sir”
Oliver spoke up still with that same monotone voice
“Y/n just go home please, I will talk with you later”
I stared at him and then I saw something else I didn't notice earlier, a tattoo, the same tattoo that all of the other guys in this pack had. At that moment I had to bite my tongue so I didn't blow up on him in front of the guys so instead I nodded stiffly and walked away. So many thoughts started to flow through my mind; “why is he hanging out with older guys, more specifically why is he with those guys?” “Is that why he changed, so he could fit in with them or was he forced?” “What happened to that sweet boy who was scared of the lighting and would come to my room for comfort?”
I sat in the living room waiting for Oliver's arrival. I really wanted to blow up on him right there in front of the guys but why embarrass him like that, even if it was very tempting. I just realized I was addressed as “Miss”, I literally had a class with Sam and he sat right next to me and we were even partners once for a stupid math project. But what went totally over my head was a certain guy was watching intensely, he was looking at me like I was the only person alive. Before I could decipher this guy's name Oliver came into my view of sight.
I looked at him with narrowed eyes,
“So? Care to explain to me what I witnessed at the beach earlier? Or are you going to brush me off again like you have these past few months?
I saw for a moment he was hesitant but what he said next was expect
“You wouldn’t understand, they are helping me with stuff”
“Helping you with stuff? Like how to flirt with girls or how to be an idiot?”
“As I said you would not understand? How could you, you are only focusing on yourself and your future, I seen the pamphlets you been looking at, and they are all colleges far away from here”
I tried my best to be face to face with him but he is at this point he is a whole foot taller than me now
“For your information little brother, I have been looking at schools near here, why do you think it's been so hard for me to find the one, and for your information you think I am so self absorbed that I don't think about you? Why do you think you don't live with mom and dad? it's because they never paid attention to you or even cared to raise you, it was all ME who raised you. I am trying to work towards a good career so that I could give you a better childhood that mom and dad failed to give you.”
I didn't even know a tear spilled from my eye but I quickly wiped it away and stood my ground, but for some reason he huffed and stormed out of the house without giving me a second glance or anything. I stared at the door for a while until I decided to just drop this for now. Teenagers really are something else, I really wish I did have someone to confide in when I face these problems with him but there is nobody. I decided to just make dinner and call it a night already, if he does not want to talk with me then so be it.
—-----------------------
I was getting ready to go visit another college alone once again when I heard a knock at my front door. I went to it and did not expect to see Paul Lahote there. Secretly I thought he was pretty cute, even if he flirted with all the girls at school but I just admired him from a distance and in silence.
He was the one to speak first
“Can I have a quick word with you?”
“Yea sure, what's up?”
“It's about you brother”
My mood dropped at that moment
“What about him?”
“Are you familiar with the Quileute legends?”
I nodded with suspicion
“Yes i'm aware of them, but they are just stories”
I saw that look of hesitation once again, it was the same face Oliver did when I confronted him at home after the beach incident.
“Well, to some people it is but they are real you see, and your brother happens to be a shifter along with me and the other guys”
My hand went straight to the dorm frame to steady myself and Paul instantly went to a concerned stance.
“Hey you good?”
“You-your telling me, that my little brother who is 14, is a shifter, that the stories I grew up listening to are true and he didn't even tell me?”
He gave me a sheepish look
“Well the thing is, he couldn't tell you, it's a secret that is between the pack, it's to protect each other and not to reveal others our existence, can you imagine if others found out about us, the panic everyone would go through?”
I nodded since he did made a valid point.
“Yes well you have a point, but why are you telling me then, why not Oliver or Sam for instance?”
He scratched the back of his neck and he avoided eye contact with me. It's strange to see him like this, all flustered and nervous when I knew him as some cocky and flirty guy from High School.
“Well you see I um….. imprinted on you….”
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion
“Imprinted on me? What the hell is that? And why me to be exact?”
“Well you see it's an involuntary mechanism that us shifters go through when we find out soulmates, we have no choice in who we get to imprint on, it just you know.......happens”
At the mention of soulmates my eyes widened in shock, the guy who I secretly liked but annoyed me at the same time is supposedly my soulmate. I always thought soulmates was an interesting topic hence my obsession with Greek Mythology and the topic that Zeus splitted people's souls in half and it was mortal's mission to find their other half. I looked back into his eyes
“Soulmates? That's insane”
He chuckled and teased in return
“Oh and not shifting to a big wolf is not insane, your brother definitely knew you would react like this”
“Well I have heard the legends for years, so it's not like `oh what the hell your mental” kind of situation, at least I knew some part of this, but soulmates? You got to admit that's something you don't hear everyday”
Rolling his eyes playfully he gave a me a smile that stopped my heart for a minute
“Fair but you're not too creeped out by this or have questions or whatsoever?”
I chuckled at his rambling but asked him
“Well now that you say that I think about 1 million questions came up, please don't tell me Oliver has found an imprint yet?”
“No he hasn't yet, he's still figuring this whole shifting and stuff”
I nodded along
“Good, Good, I don't think I would accept it right away thinking he found love so young, but I also wanted to thank you”
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion
“For what?”
“You and the other guys probably were a great help to him with all of this, even if I was completely clueless to all of this, he was for sure scared and confused with all of this, wasn't he?”
He nodded
“Yea he was lucky me and Sam were close by, we heard a yell of pain and then a growl and well we knew what it was, we went up to him and calmed him down and then we explained everything to him”
When he said yell of pain, that hit me, as much as I might not tell Oliver directly that I love him, I do, I just show it a different way by being there and being his best friend. I looked up at Paul and hugged him tightly. I felt him stiffen from shock but eventually he wrapped his arms around me. He was so warm, even with the layers of clothing he had on, his heat was radiating through it to me. I felt him caressing the back of my head while I just had my cheek against his chest.
We pulled apart shortly after and I looking down mumbled
“I'm sorry for calling you and your pack a cult and annoying behind your back”
I heard him chuckling loudly and I looked up at him with a surprised look
“No need to apologize sweetheart, we know we are annoying and I could never be mad at you”
I rolled my eyes playfully but let out a breath of relief
“Is Oliver with the other guys?”
He nods
“I can take you to him, the cat is out of the bag already or this case the wolf is out of the bag”
I punched his arm playfully
“Your such a nerd”
He did a fake pout but smiled while offering his arm for me to take. He guided me to his car and we drove off to who knows where. We eventually arrived at a cabin in the woods and I saw a bunch of shirtless guys running outside of the house towards us. I spotted Oliver and ran into his arms and pulled him into a deep hug. He returned the gesture immediately and I felt some small tears spill
“I know everything, I'm sorry for blowing up on you”
He pulled away slightly to look at with slightly teary eyes
“It wasn't your fault y/n, it's mine, I just wished I could've told you about this but you know why I didn't, right?”
I nodded and wiped away his tears
“I'm just glad you didn’t have to deal with all of this alone” I turned to all of the guys “Thanks to all of you” they all nodded in a reassurance and some of them went back inside the house
“So Paul also told you about him imprinting on you?”
I nodded
“And he told me you have not found an imprint yet which is a relief, I don't think I would be ready to see you with someone yet, your just a little boy”
I ruffle his hair and he just chuckled slightly
“Im 14, almost 15, and I'm taller than you also”
I huffed at his response
“Well i'm older and more mature than you”
Paul came up to us,
“She's got you there dude”
I looked at Paul who winked at me and Oliver just groaned in disgust
“Can you not be like that in front of me”
“Hey! since I know about all of this, you will see more of me and Paul together”
He scoffed but then smiled
“Whatever, at least you won't be alone that often now”
Paul wrapped an arm around me and looked down on me
“She will never be alone”
My heart skipped a beat at his response
A/N: My third one-shot DONE. Anyways I will get to that extended version of that Felix drabble/random idea/ im not sure what to call it, hopefully I will get it down in the next couple of days. Plus I will work on another moodboard since its been a while.

You've already got me wrapped around your finger part 6
It was a little too easy to slip inside your quaint little house. You need to be more careful. You were at an all day appointment with your dad. The perfect time to check up on you. There's an urgency that overrides all reason. A deep need to see this area of your life that you seem to hide.
You don't need to hide from me. There's no need to be afraid that you'll run me off. You're never too much. Your life may be full, but I wanna be in it. And if I need to help you uncomplicate things, I will.
I worry about you, Y/N. I worry about your safety mostly. You take care of your dad, but who take care of you? I'm here to step in. I'm here to save you, by any means possible. From anyone, even yourself. You say you've got everything under control, but I've been thinking about a backup plan.
Your living room is ordinary but the natural light just pours in. I can't help but imagine the way the morning sun would kiss all your features. Like, when we were picnicking at the park. The sun illuminated every single freckle; the rosiness in your cheeks.
I'm trying to take in every detail; locate clues about who you are. I run my finger across the spine of a book you have discarded on the couch. Lapvona by Otessa Moshfegh. You've been begging me to read it with you. I've already finished it. Not my typical read, but you've been enjoying it all the same. I love that we talk about books, music and art. Not the typical shallow chatter you'd get, chatting someone up at the bar. I know you watch TV, but never mention it. Not that it matters much, but I wonder what you watch when you want to turn your brain off.
Your room, is by far the coziest in the house. I can still smell your perfume lingering in the air. Something fruity with just the tiniest hint of earthiness. I've smelled it on you, each time we have embraced. So inviting, it intoxicates me.
Your bed is unmade and lived in, and it takes everything I have not to throw myself into it. Your sheets are soft, like you. Everything about you is just so damn soft. I can't help but imagine holding you in this bed and tracing little circles on your back until you fall asleep. I want to be where you feel most safe.
On the corner of your bed is the new journal and I can't resist. Already written in. A quick sketch of me, from memory. And a quick entry about our steamy kiss on the porch. My heart is nearly pounding, even at the memory. Your lips against mine, my hands lightly on your hips. Your scent fills the air. That tiny wimper that escaped when I pulled away. The perfect kiss. I've replayed that moment on repeat. Seeing you write about it makes me suspect, you have too.

Imagine Going To A Pumpkin Patch With All Might
Yagi "All Might" Toshinori X FemReader
Rating: G
Warnings: None it's all fluff
Word Count: 2.1k
(A/N:) I had a lot of fun writing this if y'all couldn't tell by the word count. XD Slowly but surely I'm breaking down the writer's block wall so keep being patient as I try to write all my Halloween ideas and not make them crappy! Until next time happy reading! ~Countess
The hallways of the college were decorated for Halloween and excitement could be felt through the whole building as students discussed plans and costumes. While Halloween was one of your favorite holidays you were not as excited this year as you didn't know if you were going to get to spend time with your boyfriend. Dating All-Might, Japan's most anticipated hero, had it's difficulties. Not just from the fact that he was an exchange student but he had become super popular, not just at school but the surrounding area. He had a heart to help anyone and everyone. It's one of the main reasons you liked him as well, but sometimes you wish that you both could spend more time together. You sighed and readjusted your books, when said books were scooped from your arms.
"You need to invest in a book bag," a deep voice spoke.
You laughed, "Why would a I purchase one when I have you around?"
"I guess that's one of the reasons why I am here," All Might agreed while wrapping your shoulders in one gigantic arm. "Thinking about anything in particular?"
"Just Halloween. It's coming up quickly and I honestly don't know what I want to do. It's looking like I'll be staying in and watching scary movies."
"You don't want to do something together?"
"It's not that I don't want to with you, but you are always so busy and need I remind you that you are pretty far behind in your studies," you elbowed him in the ribs.
"You and Dave keep reminding me about my school work," All Might grinned sheepishly.
"That's because failing grades are scary Toshi. It is Halloween but that's no excuse."
"Think the teachers will give me a break if I tell them I'm tardy all the time because I'm doing hero work," he sounded hopeful.
While you knew some teachers understood, you could think of at least two or three who more than likely sold their kind hearts for a strong cup of coffee.
"It's not looking good for you," you finally replied causing the giant of a man to groan.
"That's besides the point. We'll spend Halloween together no matter what happens," Toshinori straightened up lifting you up with one arm while the other still held your books. You laughed slapping at his arm.
"Even if someone needs the great All Might," you asked and he deflated. "I'm teasing. You wouldn't be you if you didn't drop everything to go help someone."
You brushed dust from his cherry blossom jacket and picked a few specks of debris from his golden hair.
"Want to go and do something together today," All Might set you back down.
"Let's make a deal. You do really good in your classes today and we'll go to the pumpkin patch once we're done. I've been wanting a couple pumpkins to carve and I heard they have all sorts of fun things to do and delicious treats. It's a little bit of a drive but I think it'll be really fun."
"Sounds like fun let's go. But we aren't driving I can get us there much faster!"
"I thought you couldn't fly," you glared thinking that he lied to you when you first met him.
All Might raised his hands in surrender, "I can't but I can jump really high and really far really fast."
"Do you want me to get whiplash?"
"You'll be safe I promise," he flexed and you couldn't help but laugh.
"Okay I trust you. It'll save me some money in gas anyway and I'll get a big bag that you can carry so we can bring everything we buy back to the dorms."
All Might walked with you until you both arrived at the door of your first class. He handed back your books and leaned down enough to where you could kiss his cheek and he returned one on your forehead.
"See you after school," you whispered already missing him as he turned around.
"It's a date," he waved his broad shoulders seeming to hold up the hallway alone. You worried one day those shoulders would carry too much of a load and break him down.
Class always seemed like it went by really fast but since you had plans that you were excited for, the day dragged along and you were beginning to get antsy. Impatiently you were the first out of the door and headed straight to your dorm to find a bag for All Might to carry the pumpkins back. You eventually had to borrow one but you found a smaller backpack for yourself so he wasn't the only one being treated like a pack mule. Racing through the halls and exiting out into the courtyard there stood the larger than life hero in training. He was doing squats and jumping in place, warming up for the journey.
"You made it," he grinned widely and you couldn't help but smile big in return.
"I did and I found a bag," you held up said bag. "It should be big enough for you to wear and have plenty of room for a couple of pumpkins. I also brought a bag for myself because it wouldn't be fair to you."
All Might scoffed, "Who's the boyfriend here?"
"Obviously not you," you retorted and he laughed loudly.
Shrugging on the bag he opened his arms waiting for you to come close. An autumn breeze brushed past you causing you to shiver.
"Hold on I need to go grab a hoodie."
Before you could race off All Might slipped off the bag and removed his plus ultra jacket before holding it out towards you. You started to protest but he plopped it onto your shoulders and waited for you to place your arms in the sleeves. Once you did he nodded in satisfaction and put the backpack back on. He waited again with his arms stretched wide and this time you stepped close. He scooped you up carefully, cradling you close to his warm chest. He gave you a gentle squeeze and brushed hair from your face before he braced his legs and jumped into the sky. You screamed taking handfuls of his shirt in your hands and clung to him tightly. Your hair whipping around in the wind, it felt like you both were floating before he started plummeting back to the earth. You screamed again, causing him to laugh. You could have punched him if you could release the death grip you had on his poor shirt.
"You didn't say this would be that scary," you screeched. "We keep falling and I'm pretty sure we just left my stomach on the ground back there!"
"It's fun! Open your eyes!"
"Absolutely not I may lose those too!"
"You won't I promise. I have everything in control okay."
You eased your eyes open but you didn't ease your grip. Holding on tightly you gazed at the sky you both were soaring through. The ground seemed so far away but the view was amazing. Birds passed by, squawking in annoyance at the man in their skies but you finally let loose laughing and screaming every time you both would fall back down towards the ground. True to his word All Might was in complete control. He never crashed down and he made it to the pumpkin patch gate in record time.
Placing you back onto solid ground, he held your arm until the jelly in your legs solidified. The elation and fear had you so wobbly it took a long time for your nerves and adrenaline to calm. Laughter came from children and adults of all ages inside the fenced in area. When you were finally ready All Might took your hand, lacing your fingers together and lead the way.
"I've never been to something like this before," he said while taking in all the sights.
"Never," you seemed surprised.
"Japan guy here. I came from a big city," he replied.
"Sorry I forgot," you flushed in embarrassment.
"It's okay. What do you want to do first?"
"Let's pick out pumpkins last, cause there's so much to do and with it being your first time let's explore everything," you pulled him towards a petting zoo.
With goats, bunnies, pigs, and animals of all shapes and sizes All Might got to pet all sorts of little animals. The rabbits were both your favorites as their ears reminded you both of All Might's hairstyle. A goat tried to eat his jacket he was letting you wear. But when a volunteer brought you both handfuls of food, the goat forgot about eating your clothing. After the petting zoo you saw a few games everyone was playing. All Might won first place in the strength game and fortunately asked for the smaller prize since you both would have to carry it back to the college. Next you spotted a corn maze and you both bet on who would make it out first. You were in the lead for the longest time until All Might jumped into the air and landed at the end startling a bunch of parents and children. It took thirty more minutes until you made your way out to see him standing there with a couple bottles of water and a smug grin.
"You totally cheated," you accused.
"I reworked the rules," he replied holding out a water bottle to you.
"Cheater cheater pumpkin eater," you taunted and he pulled the bottle away. "Okay okay I'm sorry!"
All Might chuckled giving you back the water bottle and kissed your cheek gently. His stomach rumbled and you decided it was time to get some delicious treats. It was starting to get late and it would take some time to make it back and the college did have a curfew for the students. Sipping on hot apple cider and munching on kettle corn you and All Might finally made it to the pumpkin patch. Orange gourds as far as the eye could see and you wanted the two most perfect pumpkins.
"Divide and conquer," you asked tossing your empty cup into the trash can.
All Might shook his head, "I rather us enjoy this together. We already made the corn maze into a game. We won't get to stay much longer."
"Hand in hand then."
He nodded. The sun was starting to wane as you both looked amongst the rows for the best pumpkins. All Might spotted one first and with a nod of approval from you he plucked it up and placed it into the bag on his back. Not much longer after him finding one, you were able to find one. Perfectly round and orange it would become a perfect jack-o-lantern. All Might took it from you once you picked it up from the ground and placed it in the bag with the other pumpkin. He didn't let you get far before taking your hand again. Making your way to the entrance you paid for the pumpkins and said goodbye to the volunteer.
All Might scooped you back up and instantly was back in the air. You weren't as scared this time, though you still clung to him tightly. The weightlessness feeling and the warmth of All Might was comforting. You gazed across the horizon as the sun set further. The sky transforming into an orange and lavender sky, you could smell the new season in the air. All Might gave you a light squeeze as he heard you sigh. You didn't want the day to end and as he landed on the campus lawn you wanted to go back in time immediately. You gave him back his jacket and turned to go back to the front doors when All Might spun you back around. He kissed you deeply there on the front lawn. His cheeks wind kissed and your hair tussled into knots it was perfect. You didn't know what had happened to him, to bring All Might to America but you were thankful he was there every day. You held on tightly, not wanting the kiss to end but eventually you had to pull away. He brushed a tangled lock away and gazed at you lovingly.
"I'll see you tomorrow," you asked.
"Tomorrow," he replied before kissing you again. "And the next day and after that and after that and forever after," he laughed still giving you gentle kisses.
"I'll hold you to that," you warned teasingly.
"Please do."
When you closed your dorm room door, you melted. Halloween had become one of your favorite holidays once again and you wanted to spend every single one of them with All Might.

Hello ^^ I've been reading your stories and I really like them and I was just wondering if you don't mind doing a genshin impact boys x Reader with the characters being Tighnari,Kaeya,Albedo,Alhaitham and Kaveh? And the story being you hug them from behind (I hope that is fine with you of course no NSFW I've read the request rules ^^) that is if you still do genshin impact
౨ৎ hugging them from behind...
send a request!┊masterlist┊taglist applications
FEAT... tighnari, kaeya, albedo, alhaitham, kaveh
A/N... hellooo anon, thanks so much for this request, and for taking the time to read my rules too, i really appreciate it! alsoo, i'm so glad you like my writing, it means so much ♡ i actually really love this concept, and you've chosen some good characters too! apologies in advance if anyone is ooc ^^ (i have a feeling tighnari and kaeya might be a bit whoopssss)
✧ tighnari.
for tighnari, being the "chief officer of forest rangers" comes with a lot of responsibility, an example being informing the rangers of the route for patrol and any threats they could face along the way. that's why, when you find your beloved stood infront of a group of eager men and women, you're hardly surprised.
you sneak closer to them, listening in on the instructions your beloved was giving, but not paying attention to a single word said; instead, relishing in the smooth sound of tighnari's voice. it was so calming and so soothing; he was always able to relax you from just a few words... and that's when you decided, you wanted to hear it "more up close"
the "plan" had been created, and it was a simple one at that; you knew tighnari always left his weapons at home while instructing the team for some unknown reason, but would always have to come back to collect them before setting off. you thought you'd be helpful and bring them to him instead, it would save him the unnecessary trip, after all.
despite a couple doubts crossing your mind, you decided to follow through with your "plan", rushing back home to collect his bow, trying your best to be as quick as possible so that you don't miss your chance; and luckily, you didn't.
arriving back at the meeting grounds, you make your way over to tighnari, being sure to approach him from behind. setting his bow aside, you waved at the rangers who waved back enthusiastically, leaving tighnari to wonder: "who are they all waving at? me?"
he lifts his arm to wave awkwardly, only for you to grab hold of him, squeezing him tightly around his waist and pressing tender kisses behind his ears.
"you forgot your bow again, love"
you whispered, a rosey hue tinting his cheeks as his eyes widened in embarassment. instinctively, tighnari wraps his tail around you, his soft fur tickling your skin slightly. you smile to yourself, just imagining how brightly he must be blushing; having about a dozen people watching an intimate moment he'd much rather keep private, or atleast away from an audience.
"i have a question regarding the-"
"any questions will be discussed another time, dismissed"
he hurriedly shoos the forest rangers away, making up excuses such as "there are matters i must attend to" and even "those things don't concern you, now please take your leave". he acted all angry when he turned to face you, but archons, he looked adorable.
"now what do you think you're up to, hm? hugging me like that infont of all the rangers?"
"i can tell you aren't mad, 'nari"
you can read him like a book, knowing exactly how he acts when he tries to hide how flustered he is; how he attempts to harden his exterior but gives in within seconds.
"i- i never said i was i just... don't you- i-"
he sighs, admitting defeat as he burries his face in the crook of your neck. you feel his hot breath against your shoulder as he murmurs:
"i hate you"
"i love you too"
✧ kaeya.
you walked to the cat's tail with a spring in your step, excited to see kaeya after spending more than a week apart. you'd been on a long expedition to liyue and had only just gotten back to mondstadt, not bothering to drop your belongings off at your house but instead hauling them along with you; unable to wait any longer to see your beloved (and silently praying he'd offer to help you carry them to your place)
after what felt like an hour of walking, you finally made it to your destination, shoulders sore from having to carry your bags instead of loading them onto a cart like you had when travelling to the nation of contracts.
poking your head into the tavern, you could see kaeya sat at one of the tables alone, watching out of the window, as if he was waiting for something, or someone... that's right, you!
you watch him carefully, waiting for the perfect moment to strike, and there it was: he'd gotten up from his seat, suppossedly to order a drink at the bar, and attempt to avoid the black cat and his... friendly translator; being invited to play a game of genius invocation tcg was the last thing he wanted.
dropping everything and leaving it in a pile at the front door, you practically throw yourself inside and run towards kaeya, his back now turned to you as he walks back to his table.
"[name]? archons, you scared me, i almost dropped my drink!"
refusing to let go, the two of you awkwardly waddle to the window, wanting some peace and quiet away from the taverns other patrons.
"someone's a little friendly today, hm? you miss me that much?"
"well if you don't want my attention, i can just let go..."
you tease, slowly but surely loosening your grip on his waist and sliding your hands to his sides. without warning, he grabs hold of your hands and wraps them back around him, holding them in place firmly, caressing your palms with his thumbs.
"i never said let go! wait... do you... not want to hug me anymore?"
here comes the show... kaeya would gasp dramatically, clutching at his chest as if he'd been struck by lightning, or something even more theatrical.
"do you not love me anymore?"
it never ends. he keeps building on it, acting hurt by your actions, more-so physically than mentally despite you having injured him being nothing to do with the "plot". only when you spin him around in your arms and press your lips against his does he finally stop talking, melting into the kiss as his mind goes completely blank. he'd pull away panting for air, his eyes glazed over with pure adoration.
"i love you"
"i love you moreee"
you're basically asking for it at this point.
"you love me more than i love you? impossible! preposterous! disgraceful! outrag-"
"i'm going to magically fall out of love with you in a minute if you don't-"
"i'm only kiddinggg, you're so fun to tease"
he brings one of your hands up to his lips and kisses it softly with a big grin plastered on his face; oh how he loves to wind you up, and secretly, you love it too.
"i do love your hugs though, and i really did miss you so... please hug me again?"
✧ albedo.
it's been hours since you'd last seen albedo, and though only a few hours doesn't sound too long, it felt like an eternity. it was all too often he'd hide away up in dragonspine, working tirelessly on his latest experiments and not taking any time for himself, and it worried you. that being said, you decided to come up with a plan to distract him, and a hug from behind sounded like the perfect idea...
you creep into his campsite, waiting for the perfect moment to throw yourself onto him.
"3... 2..."
you whispered to yourself, counting down the seconds before you could finally hold your beloved once more, missing his gentle touch; and you were more than just eager.
"1!"
excited, you jog up to him and wrap your arms tightly around him, but feeling him jolt so harshly made you slightly concerened...
"woah! careful, careful!"
panicked, albedo sets down the equipment in his hands as quickly as he can, worried he'd drop or injure you with them. he lets out a sigh of relief once they're out of the way, moving his hands ontop of yours and loosening your grip so that he could turn to face you. hands now resting on your waist, he looks at you with a stern expression.
"[name], what did i tell you about hugging around my experiments?"
"i know, i know, i just missed you and thought if i hug you from behind i wouldn't be getting in the way"
"i-... technically you're right, but you gave me quite the scare nevertheless, it could've caused an explosion if we were to have fallen. what kind of lover would i be if i were to put you in danger?"
"i'm sorry, 'bedo, i didn't mean to-"
he sighs, noticing the way he was being slightly too hard on you; all he wanted was to keep you safe. he'd never forgive himself if you were to be injured from one of his experiments, which is why he always to extra precautios when it came to you.
"i know, it's alright, my love, i'm just glad you didn't get hurt"
he leans towards you, reaching both hands up to cup your cheeks, squeezing them gently before giving you a soft kiss on the lips. he doesn't take his eyes off of you, pulling away from the kiss only to look into your eyes, his own filled with the purest love. you could get lost in them for hours, admiring how all the different hues work together so perfectly to create the most beautiful shade of blue.
"i know you were probably hoping to spend some time together, but... i really have to get this done, honey, i'm sorry"
"that's ok, i just want to be with you..."
"... then stay, hold onto me from behind, ok? just make sure you-"
"-don't touch anything, i've got it"
and so you hung onto albedo, almost like a sloth, slowing down his movements ever so slightly, but he didn't mind, nor did he mention it. he'd apologise whenever he accidentally stood on you foot, even though he wasn't applying much pressure in the first place, being purposefully light on his feet as to not hurt you. every now and then, he'd take hold of one of your hands, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it so gingerly before setting it back down onto his waist.
sure, it wasn't the most romantic scenario, but you couldn't care less; all you wanted was him, to hold him, to feel his warmth against you, to know he was there...
✧ alhaitham.
"'haithammm"
you call out, wondering into his study, half expecting him to be elsewhere, but being pleasantly surprised when you find him sat comfortably in his arm chair. (like an old man)
"yes, darling?"
a soft smile creeps onto your face as you slowly make your way towards him; you just can't help it. even when he is doing almost nothing, alhaitham never fails to charm you, to make you smile like an idiot from a single glance.
"will you tell me that story again? the one about the dr- oh! sorry i didn't realise you were busy-"
you apologise profusely, turning to leave but only being able to take a few steps before alhaitham grabs your arm and drags you back towards him, almost pulling you over the arm of his chair
"love, it's ok, i'm not busy, i can tell you stories whenever you'd like to hear them"
"that's ok, how about you tell me about that book instead?"
you smile down at him sweetly before taking a look at the cover of his book; the gold lettering complimenting the brown leather perfectly.
"darling, you don't have to pretend to be interested, i can t-"
"no, no, please, tell me what you're reading! i like hearing you talk about your books"
he blushes slightly, his slightly widened eyes flicking back to the pages of the novel within an instant, wanting to avoid any possible eye contact.
"well, if you insist... this book is about how two-"
listening carefully, you move behind him, resting your hands on his shoulders before sliding them down his upper arm before dragging them across his chest. your hands meet near the middle, intertwining with eachother and resting against alhaitham's pounding heart.
"everything ok?"
you tease, knowing well how flustered this makes him, enjoying how he stuggles to keep a hold of himself.
"i- as i was saying... this book here is about two young lovers, how they met, and how they will someday grow old together and see the beauties of the world beyond life hand-in-hand... quite a precious story if i do say so myself, wh-"
you stand in shock, scanning over the open pages to make sure the story he's explaining is truly the one held in his hands; to your surprise, it was.
"wait wait wait, 'haitham... you are reading a romance novel?!"
"is that so surprising?"
"never in my life did i think alhaitham, the akedemiya's scribe who seems only interested in facts and figures, would be reading books about romance"
"well, dare i say you've rubbed off on me, love"
"i- i have?"
"why of course you have, every empty moment is filled with you, my love. see,"
he gestures to the pieces of - what looks like - paper sticking out of the book in various places, each one seemingly marking a significant moment in the plot.
"-even this book reminds me of you, all these little tabs represent thoughts of mine, these purple ones are thoughts of you, of us"
much to your disbelief, almost every single tab - par one or two - is coloured a shade of purple, you can even spot a couple of hearts peeking out from inbetween the pages. each section that was sticking out had the words "i love you" carefully written on them, written in his fancy handrwiting rather than what you refer to as his "scribe mode handwriting"
you squeeze him tighter, touched by how head over heels he was for you, nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck and planting soft kisses on along his shoulder and below his jaw. you wanted to show just how loved you felt in that moment, and how loved you wanted him to feel too. little did you know, alhaitham was a blushing mess; his face a vibrant hue of pink, his mouth forming words but not being able to force any of them out.
"i love you so much, 'haitham"
"i- i love you, [name]"
✧ kaveh.
"that doesn't seem quite right..."
kaveh is stood pondering in his office, the blueprints on the easle in front of him full of detail, far more complicated than anyone other than him could make any sense of. several stacks of scrolls take up all his desk space, 'stealing' his pencils and other pieces of equipment, or atleast that's what he claims to be happening.
in reality, his workspace is far too messy, causing him even more stress ontop of trying to find the perfect measurements for whatever building he was planning. you picked up on this, how he often promises to eat with you at the table, but gets so lost in his work he dismisses his own needs just for the sake of his project.
you decide to take the initiative, covering the plates of food with towels before making your way to kaveh's office; a small building to the left of the living area of the property, though it seemed to be that he was living there instead.
slowly pushing the front door open, you let yourself inside, sighing happily at not only the warm air against your now cold cheeks, but also at the comforting scent that you know all too well...
"it looks good, hun" you'd say, your voice gentle and sweet as to not scare him. he wouldn't turn to face you, but instead stare holes into his blueprints, hand holding his chin as he was lost in thought.
"hm? oh, sorry love, could you repeat that? i didn't hear you"
you make your way over to him, choosing to stand behind him rather than infront. snaking your arms around his waist and pulling him into you, you rest nuzzle the side of your face against his back. he jolts slightly, only to relax into your touch seconds after. "it's looking good" you repeat yourself, rubbing circles on his stomach through his shirt in an attempt to ease his stress. all it does is leave him stressed and flustered... ok maybe a bit less stressed, he's not complaining though. he loves the way you're so gentle with your hands, and know exactly how to make him feel so flustered. placing his own hands on yours, he intertwines your fingers with his, dragging your hands across his lower stomach to wrap around him tighter. "y- you really think so?"
"of course i do, love, everything you design is beyond beautiful, but this one especially...
"would- do you think you'd live in it?"
"oh, absolutely! strangely enough, it looks just like how i imagined my home to be when i was younger"
unbeknownst to you, kaveh is uncontrollably smiling like an idiot, knowing that you approve of your future home really gives him even more motivation to put his all into every single one of the blueprints, making sure not to miss even a single detail...

What Do We Call This? - 07
prev || mini masterlist || next
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x fem!reader
Summary: On a quest to find what you've been looking for, you acquire the help of the Straw Hat pirates, who've agreed to let you temporarily join them. There are however many challenges that come along with your temporary recruitment - an alliance with a certain Trafalgar Law being one of them.
Word Count: 1.2K
Warnings: fluff, angst, kinda slow burn, swearing, the occasional OP spoiler, they're both kinda mean to each other in this one
A/N: I don't know whether this series has a great flow, and honestly I don't know how well I've portrayed Law's character, but that's okay cause I'm very happy with how this chapter turned out <( ̄︶ ̄)>. I hope you like it too!
—☆✿☆—
Having boarded Law's ship you trail behind him into the submarine, leaving his crew and the Straw Hats on the deck. While you mindlessly followed him, you took note of the stark difference between the Polar Tang and the Thousand Sunny. Although it seemed a lot more cold, the grey metal walls of the submarine also offered a sense of security in their own way, the faint beeping noises oddly comforting.
Shifting your focus from the walls back to the man walking in front, you called out to him when you realised he hadn't noticed you following, or at least hadn't bothered to acknowledge your presence. On hearing his name Law slowly turned to face you.
"So what did you need my assistance with?" you ask, tilting your head in curiosity. From the time you had spent with him, you knew that when it came to planning, Law was always two steps ahead of the rest. So maybe his plan required you to be in Wano, or maybe he required your assistance with something on his submarine.
"You'd only hurt yourself more if you went with Straw Hat-ya to retrieve Black-Leg. It's better for you this way."
Or maybe not.
"Really? So, that whole needing my assistance thing was a lie?" His lack of a response was enough of an answer.
"I can take care of myself Law. I don't need you constantly watching over me like I'm some child," you assert, ready to storm off before your frustration escalates. But before you can retreat, an all too familiar blue aura envelopes you. "Law-" you try to protest to his actions but your words fall on deaf ears.
"Room."
"Shambles."
The room shifts to what looks like the infirmary of the Polar Tang, and you find yourself already seated on the white matress of a surgical bed as Law shuts the door to the room. Before you can inquire about his intentions, he answers your unspoken question.
"You haven't changed your bandages since we left Dressrosa," he remarks, pulling out a gauze wrap from a drawer and positioning himself in front of you.
"I changed them yesterday," you counter, but this only leads him to roll his eyes, "Clearly, you didn't do a good job of it," he chides, gesturing at the gauze that had been haphazardly wrapped around your torso. In your defense, you were in a bit of a hurry. Robin had found some books in Zou that she thought you would like, and you were all too eager to read them (plus, lingering in the infirmary for too long risked someone seeing your wounds)
"They don't need to be changed. I'm fine. It's all healed." You once again try to convince him, but you're met with a stern look this time. "Just because filling yourself up with alcohol and sleeping every chance you get numbs the pain, does not mean you're healed."
You're caught off guard by Law's reply. Though you think to yourself that maybe you should have known that someone like the Surgeon of Death, who knew how your devil fruit worked would notice that your consumption of alcohol and constant need to sleep were clear signs of you trying to distract yourself from the pain. Evidently, you had no memory of what you had said to him a few nights ago.
"Law-" you once again try to protest, but he's already removing the bandages, and you wince as his hand lightly grazes your side. He looks at you confused, your wounds shouldn't hurt just from this, he thinks to himself, and quickly but gently removes the rest of the gauze. His expression changes from one of confusion to frustration as he looks from the fresh blue-black bruises spattered across your torso to you.
"How did this happen?" he asks, and you shift in your seat, biting down on your lip as you contemplate telling him or not.
"How did this happen?" he spits through gritted teeth, and you shift your gaze away from him, at the same time realising that he wouldn't relent until you gave him an explanation.
"Some of the Minks were still injured before we left Zou, and Chopper wasn't around, so I helped them."
You notice his fists clench and unclench in response to your answer, a sign that he was trying to control his emotions. You choose to slowly meet his gaze as he takes a deep breath before letting out a sigh, already anticipating your response to his next question, "Why didn't you call me?"
"You were meeting your crew after so long, I didn't want to bother you."
He tries to remain calm, but your answer only fuels his frustration. His fists clench once again and he bangs them into the table causing you to flinch. Law's hands now enclose you on either side, his head bent down, so that his hat just about covers the way he's clenching his jaw.
"Why are you always finding ways to hurt yourself?" he murmers, his voice barely above a whisper. But he doesn't give you a chance to repond, "Do you care so little about your life?"
"It's just a few bruises," you respond, and this time he meets your gaze, his grey eyes laden with emotion.
"I don't understand," Law pauses, his anger mounting. "Why!? Why do you not care about your own well-being!? Why do you insist on helping people who've never done shit for you!?"
His words strike a nerve, and you scoff. You can only assume that he's referring to the Straw Hats. Your own emotions are starting to get the best of you, and you throw him a glare of your own, "What the fuck do you know!?" you yell back. Law's taken aback by your outburst, but is quick to regain his 'composure'. However, you don't give him time to respond.
"You know absolutely nothing about me Law, and you have no fucking idea what I've been through and what these people have done for me! So stop trying to protect me!" You grab at the gauze wrap and try to push him aside, but he doesn't budge. His hands grip tightly at the white sheets of the surgical bed, but he doesn't say anything.
"Move Law," you command, but his grip only strengthens, his knuckles turning white.
"I know enough about you to know that you knew Cora-san, and that's enough of a reason for me to protect you."
Law's jaw relaxes, but he remains silent and unmoving, reverting to his stoic demeanour as he waits for some sort of reaction from you, or maybe deliberates over what to say next. You're taken by surprise at first, not knowing how to react to his revelation. But the emotions are quick to come back, and your frustration with him that has been unknowingly brewing over the past month refuses to back down from this confrontation.
"Then you know that he wanted both of us to keep living. Yet you were ready to give your life in exchange for bringing down Doflamingo. So, don't fucking come to me about not caring about mine," you retort with more spite than you intend, your words almost like venom to Law. But you're far too infuriated to take them back. With one final shove you manage to push past him.
"(Y/N)-ya," he calls out to you, attempting to sound firm, but the tremble in his voice is unmistakable.
"I think it's best if we keep our distance," you mumble more to yourself as you walk out the door, leaving Law behind.

A/N: This was actually supposed to be longer, but I decided not to include the next part cause it would kinda downplay this part and just lose the drama. So y'all are going to have to wait till next week for them to maybe make up :-P.

The next morning you wake up and for the first time, Alcina is still in bed with you. She had gotten up at some point and put on a black nightgown, but you wake up the same way you fell asleep, tucked into her with her arm wrapped around you. She feels you stir and looks down at you. You look up at her, her reading glasses perched on the bridge of her nose with a book in her hand.
"Good morning draga." She says.
"Good morning Mis- Alcina." You say sleepily.
"How did you sleep my pet?"
"Really well, how did you sleep?"
"Well, I require very little sleep, so for the 30-45 minutes I was asleep was wonderful."
"What did you do the rest of the night?" You're pretty sure you knew Alcina and the girls were vampires of some sort, or at least not human, but there was still so much about them that was a mystery.
"Well I got up and worked for a few hours, then I had some rare free time so I came back here and continued reading my book."
You smile at her and she pulls you into her.
"I'll have Zina bring you up breakfast this morning."
"She doesn't have to, I can eat in the kitchen, I feel so bad that she's been doing so much extra work just for me." Alcina side-eyes you.
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea my pet, I have, concerns, about the other maidens."
You're disappointed, but nod your head. She's right to be concerned, to be fair you are too, but you're tired of having people waiting on you hand and foot because you're trying to avoid someone.
"I understand Alcina."
She sighs and you look up at her.
"You may go down to the kitchen for breakfast, but you must bring it up here and eat in my chambers. Understand?"
"Yes, thank you Alcina." You say with a smile.
"Before you go, help me get dressed."
She closes her book and tosses her covers off of her and gets out of bed. You follow suit and go to her wardrobe to grab a dress.
"Do you want me to pick anything in particular?" You ask her.
"Just my usual attire is fine dear." She says as she removes her nightgown, revealing a new lacy bra and underwear set.
You grab her dress and bring it to her. She steps into it and slides her arms into the sleeves. She sits on her vanity bench so you can button it.
She touches up her lipstick and slides her gloves on.
"There's a new uniform on the chair over there for you." She says, nodding to one of the chairs in the corner of the room.
You walk over and put your new uniform on and turn back to Alcina who is adjusting her hat on her head.
"Is there anything else you need me to do?"
"That's all, you can head down to the kitchen. Remember, straight back up here with your tray, no gallivanting around, yes?"
"I promise I'll come right back here, no detours." You say with a smile.
"Good girl. Go on." She says, nodding towards the door.
You make your way downstairs and head towards the kitchen. You see Zina just outside the kitchen, surprised to see you.
"Y/n, I was just about to prepare a tray to bring up to you."
"Thank you Zina, but I figured I'd come down and grab breakfast myself and bring it up. I hate that I've been making so much extra work for you."
Zina looks at you a little concerned.
"Does she-"
"Oh, yes, she gave me permission to get breakfast and bring it back up to her chambers."
Her face relaxes into a smile.
"Very well then, enjoy."
You walk into the kitchen and you immediately feel eyes on you. You try your best to ignore them as you wait in line for your meal. Once you get breakfast you grab your tray and make your way back across the kitchen to Alcina's chambers.
All is fine until you feel someone shove you from behind, as you're shoved you see a foot stick out and trip you, your tray goes flying and so do you. You try to brace yourself for the fall but you smack your head into one of the benches at the table and roll onto the floor. You may have blacked out for a moment but you sit up as fast as you can, your head spinning and in pain. You feel your head and look at your hand and see blood, you look up and see Stefana standing over you with an evil smile across her face. You look down and see that she has a knife in her hand, you panic and try to back away from her as you're on the floor, afraid if you turn your back she's just going to kill you.
As Stefana takes a step forward, a loud "BAM" echoes through the kitchen startling everyone, including you. You turn your head to look and see that the kitchen door has been knocked off of it's hinges, a familiar black hat makes its way through the door frame as Alcina steps into the kitchen. She stands up straight and looks at Stefana, the look in her eyes is terrifying, she looks down at you on the floor and her eyes soften with concern, in an instant the rage is back as she walks towards the two of you, more than half of the maids run out of the kitchen through the other door.
You scramble to your feet and step back towards Alcina. Stefana drops the knife, you're not sure if she even realized she did to be honest.
"YOU." She yells, the walls of the kitchen shake. "You disrespectful, insolent worm."
Alcina extends her claws, and slowly walks towards her, she walks past you and gently pushes you behind her.
"What did I tell you last time? If you so even look at her again I will slice you to ribbons. You were properly warned yet you still did not listen." Her tone is cold and angry. "I told you you would regret it."
Stefana stands there, terrified, but also angry.
"Alci-" She begins to say.
"SILENCE." Alcina yells. "I never gave you permission to call me by that name, a name you only learned after prying through my personal belongings! How dare you try and use stolen information to save yourself."
"I deserved to know!" Stefana tells back.
"You deserve nothing." Alcina hisses.
"I love you! You told me you loved me and you threw me aside like I was nothing to you!" She yells through tears.
Alcina laughs out loud, her laughter fills you with terror. "Make no mistake little girl," she growls as she gets closer to her. "I never spoke those words to you. You were nothing to me, and you still are nothing to me. All you are is a nuisance, a disobedient, disrespectful wench and I am THROUGH with giving you repeated warnings to behave yourself."
Alcina slowly pulls her arm back, getting ready to slash Stefana into pieces.
"NO!" You yell, you have no idea what came over you, but you couldn't watch Alcina kill her in front of you, not like this. You run up behind Alcina and grab her wrist before she slashes forward.
Alcina stops and slowly looks down at you, she has an anger in her eyes you never knew was possible for someone to have, even if they weren't human.
"Please, don't, please." You beg. Your entire body is trembling, you didn't even realize you were crying.
She glares into your eyes as your hands tremble around her large wrist, but you don't break eye contact. The anger in her eyes softens, not much, but you notice the slight shift. She growls at you and aggressively retracts her claws, you slowly drop your hands and she breaks the eye contact and looks towards Stefana. She takes another step closing the distance between the two of them.
She raises her hand to her face and you wince, she drags her finger down Stefana's cheek.
"Today is certainly your lucky day." She says sweetly, but almost terrifyingly. When her finger reaches her jaw, Alcina grabs Stefana by the throat and lifts her up to her eye level. "You better be grateful for her kindness because if I had it my way you would be slashed to pieces on this floor right now." She brings Stefana closer to her face. "If you so much as breathe in her direction, it will be the very last breath you take. Next time I will not let her stop me from tearing you to shreds. Do you understand?"
Stefana tries to respond but can't because of the pressure around her throat. Alcina drops her and she hits the ground, hard.
"Now get out of my sight." She growls.
Stefana looks at her for a moment as she gasps for air and another maid comes over and helps her to her feet, guiding her out of the kitchen.
"Let me make one thing very clear to all of you." Alcina says to the maids left in the kitchen. "If anyone lays as much as a finger on her, it will be the last thing you do. Am I clear?" She says angerly.
You hear the maids quietly respond with "yes Lady" and "yes Mistress".
She slowly turns to you and stares at you.
"And you," you swallow hard, worried that you just marked yourself for death. "That was very bold, but very stupid. Do not ever do that again."
"I won't Mistress." You say with a shaking voice.
She kneels down in front of you and brings her knuckle under your chin and lifts your head, she inspects the gash on your head from hitting it on the bench.
"Oh Mother Miranda," she says under her breath. "I think you may need stitches. Come, I'm taking you to the infirmary." She grabs your hand and leads you out of the kitchen to the infirmary.
The stitches pinch a little, but the pain wasn't bad at all, especially compared to the pain you feel when Alcina breaks your skin when she feeds.
"Okay, all finished." The doctor says, cutting the sutures. "You only needed three stitches, the cut wasn't too deep and shouldn't leave much of a scar if you take care of it. You also have a slight concussion, but that should resolve itself in a few days."
"Thank you." You say quietly.
"Is there anything else you need my Lady?" She asks turning to Alcina.
"No, thank you doctor."
The doctor nods her head and leaves the room. You keep your eyes on the floor, not wanting to break the uncomfortable silence. Alcina's anger had subsided, but she still wasn't happy. You feel her eyes on you and you turn and slowly meet them, you feel like a child that's about to be scolded by their mother.
"How are you feeling?" She calmly asks.
"I'm okay." You say quietly.
She brings her knuckle under your chin and lifts your face again, inspecting the stitched up wound.
"Why on earth would you want to me to spare her life?" She says softly, almost like she's talking to herself. "She would have ended yours right then and there with no hesitation." You watch her golden eyes as they scan your stitches, she slowly turns your head back and fourth to examine it from every angle. "Yet, you begged me to spare hers." She drops her hand and looks you in the eyes. "Why?"
"I don't know, I didn't even realize what I was doing when I did that. I just got so scared and I didn't want to watch her die in front of me, I would have felt so guilty, like her death would have been my fault."
Alcina cocks her head to the side and furrows her brows like she's confused.
"And why would that be your fault?"
"Because I'm the one who replaced her, I'm the one she's angry with, if she died because of something she did to me, I'd feel so guilty."
"Her anger is horribly misplaced, I am the one she should be angry with. I brought you here, I was the one who had her replaced, I would have been the one to kill her, you bear none of the guilt or responsibility for what will frankly be her own demise." Your eyes stay focused on the floor. When you don't respond she puts her finger under your chin and lifts your face towards her. "You don't believe me do you?" She says a little flatly.
"It's not that I don't believe you, logically, yes, none of it would be my fault, but my head and my heart can't seem to accept it."
"If she does anything else, do not try and stop me again. Understand?"
"Yes."
"Come, I'm bringing you back to my chambers. I am going to have Zina pack your things from your room in the maids quarters." She says as she grabs your hand and goes to leave the infirmary.
"Wait, why?" You ask as you stop moving.
Alcina stops and turns towards you.
"After that incident I can't trust that you will remain safe in the maids quarters. I am moving you into the room next to mine so I can keep a close eye on you. From now on, unless you are in my chambers or my study, you will not leave my side. You will go where I go and have all of your meals with us in the dining hall. On the rare occasions where I cannot bring you along with me you are to stay with the girls or in one of the designated rooms. Understood?"
You can't help but smile up at her, you shake your head yes accompanied by an "mhm."
She leads you to her chambers and lifts you into her bed. You crawl under the covers and hear a knock at the door.
"Mother?" You hear Bela on the other side of the door.
"Come in." She says and sits on the edge of the bed.
"Mother Miranda is-" Bela looks over and sees your stitches. "WHAT HAPPENED?" She says running over to you. Your head throbs when she yells. Although your concussion was a minor one, it still left you sensitive to bright lights and loud noises.
Out of the three girls Bela is probably the one you're least closest with, seeing her reaction to your injury warmed your heart.
"There was an incident in the kitchen with another maid, it's been handled."
"Is she dead?" Bela asks, angrier than you expected.
"No, but she has been dealt with. Now what about-"
Two swarms of flies appear in the room and Daniela and Cassandra appear.
"What happened?" Daniela asks.
"We heard Bela yell." Cassandra says.
They look over at you and see your stitches at the same time.
"HOW DID YOU GET THAT!?" Daniela yells, your head throbs more when she yells and you wince at the pain.
"Who do I have to kill?" Cassandra says with a darkness in her voice you've never heard before, it honestly scares you a little.
They run over to the bed next to Bela.
"Girls." Alcina says. "Y/n is okay, as I was telling Bela, there was an incident with one of the other maids but it's been handed."
"Why isn't she dead?!" Bela says.
"SHE'S STILL ALIVE?" Daniela and Cassandra yell in unison. You wince again from the sound.
"Girls, volume." Alcina says to the three of them, she looks over at you. "Would you like to tell them why the maid in question isn't currently being made into a fresh bottle of my wine?"
The three girls look at you, both mad and confused.
"Girls, I'm okay, really. Just a few stitches, minor concussion, I'll be fine."
"That doesn't explain why she's still breathing!" Cassandra says.
"Al- your mo- Mistress," You stumble over your words as your head pounds from the concussion. You bring your hands to your face and rub your eyes as your head throbs. "Sorry," You say as you bring your hands down. "I stopped her."
"WHY?!" The three yell.
You wince again, the throbbing in your head increases.
"Girls, she has a concussion, will you please be quiet." Alcina hisses at them as they hang their heads. She gets up and closes the curtains, darkening the room. "Is that better?" She asks, turning towards you.
The darkness helps to ease the pain in your head a little. "Yes, thank you." The three girls stare at you, demanding an answer. "I don't know-"
"Yes you do." Alcina says flatly as she sits back down on the edge of the bed.
The girls look towards Alcina and back to you.
"I- I didn't even know what I was doing until I did it, but I didn't want to see her die in front of me, so I just grabbed her wrist and stopped her from slashing the maid to pieces."
The girls' eyes widen as they look at you.
"And you didn't kill her?" Cassandra asks her mom, gesturing to you.
"No, I did not." Alcina says.
"Woah." Daniela says, staring at you.
"Mom must really like you." Bela says quietly.
Alcina gives her a low growl.
"She's not wrong." Cassandra says to Alcina. "The last time a maid tried to stop you, you gutted her and turned her into a scarecrow as a warning to the rest of them. She's still the only maid out there!"
You swallow hard and watch as Alcina looks at Cassandra.
"Yes, I remember, thank you for the history lesson." She says sarcastically.
"Well I'm happy you didn't kill her." Daniela says, looking up at her mother. "I like y/n, I she's my favorite!"
Alcina smiles and places her hand on Daniela's head, which Daniela nuzzles into.
"So you're just gonna let that maid live?" Bela asks Alcina.
"For now, yes. But if she steps even a centimeter out of place she's finished."
"Can I follow her around so I can kill her the second she messes up?" Cassandra asks eagerly.
"Absolutely not. I will take care of her, I don't want any of you laying a finger or a fly on her, understand?"
"Yes mom." They reply in unison.
"Now, Bela, what were you saying about Mother Miranda?"
"Oh, she needs the lab and some maids to test on."
Alcina pinches the bridge of her nose and furrows her brows.
"I can not afford to keep loosing maids, the village will riot if I take any more girls." She says under her breath and drops her hand.
"We can always give her the one who hurt y/n!" Cassandra says with a devilish smile.
"No, she won't do. I will come up with some solution, did she say when she was coming?" Alcina asks Bela.
"She said she would be here soon."
"Did she say what she needed the lab for?"
"New cadou mutations I think."
"Of course." Alcina says with a sigh. "Alright, thank you girls, you may go. Please try and keep it down."
"Yes mother." They say as they disappear in a swarm.
Alcina turns to you, noticing the confused look on your face.
"You have a lab? Where you test on maids? And what's a cadou?"
"There are many things that go on in this castle that you need not worry about draga, including anything that happens in the dungeon. I must go prepare for Mother Miranda, under no circumstances are you to leave this room. I will make sure your meals are delivered to you. You are to rest until you are fully recovered, understand?"
"Yes."
She drags her finger along your cheek and studies your face for a moment. She drops her hand and stands.
"I must be off, if you need anything before I return have one of the girls or Zina assist you."
"I will." You look up into her eyes as she towers over you. "Thank you for saving me." You say quietly.
"No need to thank me my pet." she cups her hand under your face. She goes to speak but stops herself and purses her lips. You gently smile at her and she smiles back at you and drops her hand.
She opens the door and you see her stop.
"Oh, Mother Miranda, I wasn't expecting you so soon." Alcina says.
"I don't understand why, I did tell your daughter I would be arriving soon." You hear an unamused voice outside of the door but can't see her with Alcinas dress blocking your view. "What do you have in here?" The woman asks.
"Oh, it's nothing im-"
She pushes past Alcina and walks into the room. You see a woman dressed in all black, wearing a gold mask with a black feathered hood on her head. Her mask nearly resembling a birds beak, the hood attached to a floor length robe, also covered in black feathers. She removes the hood revealing her blond hair, slicked back and tucked into her robe.
"And what do we have here?" She says, almost amused.
"Mother Miranda, this is my new handmaiden, y/n."
Alcina's demeanor has completely shifted since she opened the door, usually she commands every room she walks into. As soon as Mother Miranda entered, her usual large presence seems to have shrunk. You're not sure what it exactly is, if Alcina is being submissive, if she just very, very highly respects her, of if she fears her, or if it's a combination of all of the above, but she's not her usual self.
"Your handmaiden resting in your chambers?" Mother Miranda says, as if she's mocking Alcina.
Your eyes shift to Alcina, you can almost see a desperation in her eyes, like a child looking for praise and acceptance from their neglectful parent. It's something you've never witnessed with Alcina before, you're not sure how you feel about it, but you gut doesn't have a good feeling.
"Yes, she had an altercation with another one of the maids leaving her injured. For her own safety I am having her stay in my chambers until I can make other arrangements."
"I can see," Mother Miranda says as she walks up to you and examines you. You notice she has bright yellow eyes, similar to Alcina's. "Such a pretty young thing." She says as she caresses your cheek with her finger.
You meekly smile at her. "Thank you." You say quietly. You look over at Alcina and you see a shift in her eyes as Mother Miranda touches you, her jaw clenches and she bites the inside of her lip, trying to keep her emotions in check. She doesn't look happy.
"And why is this maiden not being utilized in my lab? She may be a fine specimen for the cadou."
You see fear and anger flare in Alcina's eyes as she takes a few steps towards you both. Mother Miranda turns to look at Alcina and she tries her best to hide her emotions.
"With all due respect Mother Miranda, I don't believe she would handle the cadou well. Her small body would crumble, it would kill her, I'm certain of it. She is quite useful, one of my best maids, I have other maidens that would take to the cadou much better than she will, and they will be much more useful in your experiments." Alcina's eyes shift to you and back to Mother Miranda. You get the feeling she's trying to protect you, but you're not sure from what, Mother Miranda, the lab, the cadou, all of it?
"Alcina, are you prioritizing one of your pathetic employees over my work? You do understand the importance of these experiments don't you?"
You never thought you'd see the day where Alcina was intimidated by someone, but Mother Miranda certainly does it.
"No Mother Miranda, not at all." Alcina quickly replies, her tone apologetic. "I absolutely understand the importance of it-"
"Then stop prioritizing a simple maid over my work." Mother Miranda growls.
You see fear in Alcina's eyes, she's not fearful for her, she's fearful for you. You don't know what experiments they're talking about, or even what a cadou is, but from Alcina's reaction to the potential of subjecting you to it, it can't be good.
Mother Miranda turns towards you again and looks at you.
"You may be a wonderful specimen for the cadou," she says, stroking your hair. "Or it may kill you, there's only one true way to find out." She says with an evil smile. You're not sure if she's being serious, or just trying to get a rise out of Alcina, because if she's trying to get a rise out of her, it's certainly working. You see the anger bubbling in Alcina, you've heard of Mother Miranda before and if the rumors are true, her powers are strong, and terrifying.
"If I may," you quietly say, hoping to diffuse the situation. Alcina's eyes snap towards you, before you can gauge her reaction Mother Miranda's bright yellow eyes capture your attention as she stares intensely into your eyes. "Well first, it's an honor to meet you Mother Miranda." Mother Miranda's stare doesn't falter. The tension in the air thickens, you're not sure if you're about to seal your fate to the dungeon or save yourself, but it's too late to back out now. "But, um, I'm not an employee, technically." You break eye contact with Mother Miranda for a moment to look at Alcina, who looks both worried and unsure of what you're doing, your eyes meet Mother Miranda's once again.
"Are you a maiden?" Mother Miranda asks, her voice cold and aggravated.
"Yes ma'am."
"Do you clean the castle?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Do you wear a maids uniform?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Do you stay in the maids quarters?"
"I did ma'am."
"Then explain to me, how are you not an employee?" Her bright eyes burning into yours.
"Lady Dimitrescu purchased me." You pause for a moment, slowly and carefully selecting each word that comes out of your mouth. "She paid my uncle in exchange for me. So, although I have the same duties as the employees here, I believe I am technically her property. Right?" You look over at Alcina, you see her relax a bit and she gives you a tiny nod.
"She is correct Mother Miranda," Alcina says as she takes a step forward. "I paid a large sum of money to take possession of her. Aside from knowing she would not react well to the cadou, as other experiments similar to her physique have, I would like to make my investment worthwhile."
"You must be very special then if Alcina was willing to purchase you. Although I'm not surprised, you are very beautiful." She says, stroking you cheek again, she almost sounds like she's flirting with you. You see Alcina stiffen, Mother Miranda is toying with her, trying to provoke her. "Such a shame you'll have a hideous scar, tainting your beautiful face." She says as her finger slides down your jawline and she flicks her finger as she reaches under your chin, her sharp talon grazing your skin.
Your eyes shift to Alcina, her jaw clenched again, anger in her eyes, Mother Miranda turns to face her and she tries her best to soften her eyes. Mother Miranda chuckles.
"Very well Alcina, I will respect your property. I will meet you in the lab." She says as she stands up. In a flash she disappears in a burst of black feathers.
Alcina exhales in relief and closes her eyes, putting her hands over her chest. She takes a breath in to ground herself and regains her composure, when she opens her eyes, it's like she's back to normal. She looks over at you and you're worried about her, relieved, and fucking confused.
"What the fuck was that?"
"Language." She says, scolding you.
"Sorry."
She cups your face in her hand and you close your eyes and lean into her. She bends down and when you open your eyes you realize she's eye level with you.
"You are extremely lucky. Your boldness will no doubt be your downfall." She says looking into your eyes. "Don't push your luck." You nod your head in her hand. She kisses you on your forehead, you're both surprised when you feel her lips on you. Alcina pulls away and stands up and heads towards the door. "Since you are my property, I very well may have to get you a collar, my little pet." She says almost flirtatiously as she smirks, turning towards you before she opens the door.
"If that's what you want, Mistress." You say with a smile.
She cocks an eyebrow at you and leaves the room, closing the door behind her.
"Holy shit." You say to yourself as you lay back into the pillows. Not realizing how anxious you really were that entire time, you feel like a huge weight was lifted off of your chest as your anxiety fades away.
"Why was Alcina so afraid for me? What the fuck did Mother Miranda do to have so much power over her? What experiments are they performing on maids in the dungeon or lab or whatever the hell they have in the basement? What the fuck is a cadou? What else happens here that I don't know about?!" Thoughts and questions flood your mind, you were hoping to try and relax and maybe get some sleep but that's definitely not happening anymore.
Alcina leaves her chambers and closes the door behind her. She leans back against the wall and takes a long, shaky breath in and slowly exhales. It's not even noon and she's already had the most stressful day she's had in years, all she wants right now is a cigarette and a drink. The last thing she wants to do right now is work on experiments in the lab with Mother Miranda. She knew letting you go down to the kitchen was a bad idea, but the disappointment in your face crushed her so she gave in without a second thought. She decided to quietly follow you to the kitchen, just to make sure you were safe, and she was grateful she followed her instincts.
She was worried when she heard what sounded like a tray falling, a small thud and a soft yelp, but she was hoping it wasn't you. It wasn't until she heard your heartbeat increase rapidly that she knew you were in trouble. She didn't mean to knock the door off of it's hinges, but you were in danger and she needed to get to you as fast as possible. She was completely blinded by anger, seeing you on the floor, bleeding from your head, Stefana standing over you with a knife in her hand, ready to take her revenge. She was ready to kill Stefana, she was almost excited about it. She was only pulled out of her searing anger when she felt hands around her wrist and seeing you there when she looked down. Bleeding, crying, terrified and trembling like a leaf, she was pissed that you got in her way, but she couldn't stand seeing you like that more than she wanted to kill Stefana.
Then in her chambers, where she thought you were finally safe, Mother Miranda shows up and tries to take you to the lab and experiment on you. This terrified her far more than the threat of Stefana. Normally she would bend to any request Mother Miranda asked of her, she's given Mother Miranda her personal handmaids to experiment on before. Most of them either dying or turning into moroaicas, but she desperately fought to keep you out of the dungeon; even if that meant going against Mother Miranda's wishes, something she's never even considered before. She felt jealousy for the first time in years when Mother Miranda dangled you in front of her like a toy, she knew what she was doing and she did it purposefully. It scared her that she felt so much anger when Mother Miranda stroked your cheek and complimented you, flirted with you; and it angered her even more when she insulted you, saying that your beautiful face was tainted from the wound.
She was terrified to her core when you spoke up, worried that Mother Miranda would deem you disrespectful and just kill you right in front of her. She felt a wave of relief wash over her when you mentioned that you were her property, a point she never even thought to bring up. She never looked at you as her property, but technically, you were, and that might be the only reason you weren't being dragged to the lab right this second.
Before Mother Miranda showed up, she almost said "I will always protect you." but stopped herself. She didn't want to be that vulnerable with someone else, she was worried she was getting too attached, afraid to express the feelings she had deep down she's been trying to suppress. Impulse took control when she kissed you on the forehead before she left, it's been decades since she's shown someone other than her daughters that kind of affection, and it scared her. It's been decades since she's felt so strongly for someone like this, it's something she's actively tried to avoid in all honesty.
"I'm becoming too attached." She thinks to herself. If she's learned anything in her 100 plus years of living, it's how to shove things into a box and put it to the back of her mind to hopefully be forgotten. "I must distance myself." She thinks of how heartbroken you would be and how sad it would make her to see you like that, but she quickly pushes that thought aside. Her fears greater than her guilt, she stands up straight, takes in a deep breath, exhales, and shoves all of her feelings towards you into a box and into the darkest corner of her mind. She has work to do, experiments to work on with Mother Miranda, a business to run, she has no time for these silly feelings. She adjusts her hat, smooths out her dress and makes her way to the lab to continue working towards Mother Miranda's goal.

So, I’ve been thinking about this for a while. (You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.) But how would Jack react to us not wanting to celebrate our birthdays? Again you don’t have to do this, it’s just out of curiosity if anything.
Initially, Jack is really confused why you don't celebrate your birthday. Absolutely baffled, he views your birthday as a monumentous occasion- you were born into this world, beautiful, beautiful you. You're his entire world, you're the most important person to him, you're what matters most. While you should be celebrated regularly, Jack would want to pull out all the stops he possibly could to make your birthday a special occasion. Sacred even.
But to you, it's just another day on the calendar. Just another fucking Tuesday. You don't take the day off, you don't make plans or treat yourself to anything in particular. Honestly - you'd forget it all together if you could if not for getting a handful of texts from Shaun and other friends. The former knows you- keeps it simple with a "Happy Bday from me and Moonpie". Ian is probably a little bit more despite knowing but you opt not to even validate his message with a read receipt.
Would like to think that the conversation comes up somewhat organically. Jack figures out your birthday one way or another, and simply asks what you want to do, what you would like, he's got ideas- sure but he wants this absolutely, perfectly, tailor made to you.
"Your birthday is next week, Sunshine!"
"Hm? Oh, yeah...I guess so."
Your unenthusiastic reply has Jack's brow furrowing, smile unwavering, but it's clear that wasn't the response he had been anticipated.
"Well, what would you like to do? We've gotta celebrate!"
"...Nah, never really been my thing. I'd rather not."
The ever bright smile falters, there's apparent confusion, concern, Jack's brain is working into overdrive trying to figure out if this is a joke, hell if it's even a test for him to do something for you on his own but...that isn't like you at all.
"But...birthdays are special. You're special, Sunshine...I wanna celebrate you." Jack worries that something is the matter, he won't outright pry and you can tell looking up from your book that he's far more concerned about this than you've ever been.
"To some people, sure. I've just never been into celebrating my birthday honestly. For a couple of reasons. But like... I'm fine, it's fine. I'd just rather not." You reply gently, and you can see clear as day it's a little difficult for Jack to wrap his head around what should be a simple concept. Ultimately what it boils down to is that you don't want to and that should be enough for him. All Jack wants is for you to be content and happy, if that means not celebrating, he'll earnestly try.
Maybe you don't tell him, eager as he is to know, he won't press but it's something that'll stick with him.
Maybe you do. Be it you've never had a good birthday, family issues, trauma, ect. Or maybe it's just that you don't see the significance of it the way others do. It's just a day, it isn't worth the fuss. Jack will listen intently and approach it from a place of empathy and sincerity.
However, Jack still can't help himself, but he knows you. You don't wake up to streamers all over the place or balloons, there's none of that obnoxious birthday song playing, you wake up like another day on your birthday. But there's the smell of coffee/tea/your favorite morning drink being made from the kitchen and something sweet. Jack makes you either a solitary little cupcake or a stack of pancakes with a candle stuck up top the middle with a sheepish little look on his face and pink marring his cheeks.
"I cant...not celebrate you, Sunshine." He replies. He's not so overt as he'd like to be but it's just something small and simple with a little handmade card on the table. Just something to show you how much he absolutely adores you. While he would love to shower you with attention and affection to make the day special, he does his best to try and reel it in though he still offers a massage in the evening, offering to make your favorite dinner or meal, ect. Things he still does regularly that he thinks he can do all the same just today especially.
All Jack does, he does for you, Sunshine.

Sunghoon was literally perfect. Too perfect.
Ever since his promise of taking you out and actually doing so, things have been escalating more than you expected. Probably faster as well. He had planned dates, bought you stuff, and even met your parents. But one thing's for sure, you have yet to put a label on whatever you have with him. Insane, right? He was basically a boyfriend that's not your boyfriend.
Long nights with your hands up in his hair, him staying over and even leaving his clothes in your room casually, many would think you were officially together by now.
It wasn't helping how he was practically over taking your head either. Sometimes when you were out, you could just see something random and think of him. What normal, sane person would do that?
Now here you are, waiting in the comforts of your room after Sunghoon texted you that he has just returned from his week-long trip to his hometown. It was surely a long time without his presence. You unknowingly missed him, not even realising until you found yourself jumping at the sight of his text messages.
It was near midnight and you doubted Sunghoon could even make it here especially when he had to unpack, surely he was tired wasn't he? You were already in bed, a book half opened beside you as you scrolled through your phone. Your short peace was interrupted by a knock on the window.
At first, you thought someone was trying to break in. Midnight, dark out, it was possibly a great chance for one to target a lone girl in her room. But when you looked closely, you let out a breath of relief. No, it wasn't an intruder, it was the person you waited for. Sunghoon.
You jumped up from your bed in surprise, not even caring how you looked currently as you rushed to your window and unlocked it. You didn't know how but Sunghoon managed to climb up to your window unharmed everytime. This wasn't his first, and it wasn't going to be his last, and you're going to be worrying for him each time.
A wide smile on Sunghoon's expression greeted you back. Him in his dark jeans, a loose shirt, his favourite Nikes, looking like he had just rushed here without thinking.
Despite your shock, you pulled him in and shut the window, standing face to face in the dim lights of your room. To be honest, you prepared a monologue for him when you planned to see him the next day, not immediately at this moment, so you don't really know what to say anymore.
"Hey," he whispered. With barely any bright light, he managed to look handsome as ever. You felt his hands wrap around your middle, pulling you closer to him.
"You're here," you pinched his arm, thinking you were dreaming for a second. For a minute, you were paranoid that your parents might walk in on you with a guy standing in the middle of your room, but then you figured that was far from your concern.
"I missed you," he leaned down to press a kiss on your lips, pulling back for barely a minute just to kiss you again.
You narrowed your eyes slightly, a teasing grin from you that he had missed. "Do the girls back home touch you like I do?"
He laughed, shaking his head and reaching up to pinch your cheek. "Never,"
"What was it like? The trip," you asked, pulling him towards your bed.
"It was great. Got to visit my childhood house, ate some good food and saw my relatives," he made himself comfortable under your sheets, inviting you to shuffle closer to him. "It was a chill getaway,"
You nodded, playing with his fingers and him letting you do so.
"I feel like you'll enjoy it there a lot," he said, poking your cheek.
"Bring me there then,"
"I really should," he slipped his hand into yours, just basking in your touch and presence. "I saw some things that reminded me of you and … I got them,"
"Really?" You gasped, knowing how he loves to spoil you that you weren't used to until now.
"I did," he smiled at your reaction. "I'll give them to you in the morning,"
"You're so sweet," you pouted, feeling your heart swell for him. "I like you, Hoonie,"
You didn't even fully register the fact that you've slipped out the truth, one that was harbouring internally for too long. Out of the times you could've chosen to say it, it just had to be now.
Sunghoon glanced over at you, but you were avoiding his stare, feeling yourself heating up. There was a playful smirk tugged at his lips, his face inching closer trying to chase your gaze. "Say what?"
"Nothing,"
"I don't think it was nothing, Y/N," he mumbled, smiling at your crumbling state. "I like you too, you know?"
You snapped over to look at him, blinking in confusion. "What?"
"I like you, Y/N," he squeezed your hand softly. "I want to be yours, I want to be your boyfriend. Will you be mine?"
"I do," you couldn't believe this was happening. You were ready to scream into your pillow once he leaves.
"Let me take you out on a proper date," he wrapped an arm around you as you snuggled closer to his side, throwing an arm across his waist casually.
"I'd love to, boyfriend,"
He rolled his eyes, a smile still evidently displayed on his face. "Saturday, our usual place, girlfriend?"
"You bet."
The night eventually faded into him telling you stories of his family and hometown, until it reached a point in the night where you figured it was too late for Sunghoon to sneak back and accepted his presence in your bed. Tiptoeing down the stairs, echoes of his footsteps right behind you as you tried leading him to the kitchen.
It was simply like one of those nights where he stays over and you have to sneak him around, except this time, he wasn’t just ‘Sunghoon’, he was your boyfriend Sunghoon.
Even though you’ve known him for quite a while now, you knew this was going to be a start of something different. Everything was too fresh, too new, it was delicate.
