idk if this makes sense. but i kind of love that the last of us makes me cry and viscerally FEEL true emotions on a weekly basis. like i cant remember the last tv show i watched that had me consistently bawling my eyes out and so immersed in a show because of the characters, the story, the incredibly strong writing, etc. and it doesn't feel manipulative. it just feels profound and beautiful and poetic but also tragic and... human.
#it's a whole spectrum of emotion!!! it's beautifully tragically human!!!! is that not what it is to exist!!!!#and it's therapeutic honestly. to spend like an hour in a world that isnt real but that you can relate aspects of your life to.#and you can just connect to these characters and their experiences and release the emotions that have been building up inside.#i'm sure that if you've played the game you feel this all the more strongly#but as someone who hasn't and went into tlou without prior knowledge#i'm just very pleased with it and idk i love watching a show that can elicit such a strong reaction from me#granted i AM what people would call 'sensitive' and 'emotional' or whatever#but even for me i dont think i've felt quite this intensely about a show - especially not right away during a first season#these are just my half baked thoughts and i definitely could say so much more but i'll leave it here for now#sameera.txt#the last of us

You thought you'd known violence, fear, and desperation. You were wrong. You'd never really felt those things. The feelings you'd previously called by those names do not compare to what you feel now, what you've been feeling for months.
You pulled your knees to your chest, blowing a puff of air out of your nose. You tried to focus on anything other than your husband, to no avail, only the sounds of your imprisonment to catch your attention.
The sound of chains scraping against stone echoed through the dingy cellar. The shackles on your wrists jangling as you hugged yourself tighter.
"I do not wish to hurt you, wife. I you just need to learn to behave. Will you behave for me, sweet girl."
You could hear the soft taps of Ominis' shoes. He was coming closer to you. You tried to move your head to face in his direction, Ominis let out a soft laugh.
"Wrong way. It's okay. You'll learn eventually. It'll take some adjustment. You've spent over two decades relying on your sight. It'll take some unlearning. My guidance. Let's play a game."
He crouched down next to you, his cold, slim fingers coming up to trace your cheekbone. You flinched away, cowering, preparing for the blow. You felt his fingers at your scalp, using a tight grip to yank you towards him.
"What did I tell you about trying to get away? Trying to escape again, wife?"
"No! I-I'm not, I swear." You choked on a sob, "Please, husband, I just - I thought -"
"Thought what?" Ominis' grip angled your head to face him, words forced through gritted teeth.
"You were going to hurt me again." Your voice was a whisper, but it still bounced off the stone walls, echoing down the empty hall.
Ominis only responded with a sigh, "Time for a game. " His hand was on yours, pulling your fist free. He hands you something, cool and solid, as your fingers wrap around the Hilt. "I can't trust you with a wand, unfortunately. But you're aware, by now, of course, your punishment. What are you holding, wife."
Yes, you knew your punishment. "A knife. It's required if I fail the game." Ominis cooed at you, pressing a chaste kiss to your forehead. You heard him retreating, but it was only seconds before you heard more footsteps around his.
"She looks quite pretty like this." Percival, you heard steps start to make their way towards you. "I'll break your hands if you touch her, brother." Ominis, your husband, ominis, ominis, omnis. Yes, no one can touch you but your sweet husband.
"Thank you, husband. I don't wish to feel any hands but yours." Two laughs, neither your husband. "You've broken her, little brother. Cowering like the bitch she is." Marvolo. Ominis hummed, "Not yet, but I will."
"The rules, wife." You could hear them walking, but you couldn't tell what steps belong to who. "Identify me." You couldn't pin his voice, it floated around the room, caressing your skin before flitting away. "If you get it wrong..." His voice trailed off
"Punishment." Your hands shook, fear had a hold on you so strongly you thought you might vomit. "Punishment." They all echoed and you could hear the barely contained excitement from Percival and Marvolo, even Ominis along with smug satisfaction.
They walked, moving around each other, to the left, to the right, forward, back a few steps. You tried to pick out Ominis, his footsteps have always been quiet, near imperceptible, but in this dank, dark place, all sound is amplified. You followed the softest steps, sure you'd have the correct answer.
They stopped, waiting for your anwser, saying nothing. "Ominis." You pointed, hand shaking, to the right.
"Wrong." Ominis voice came from your left. "Your eyes were trying to trail me the whole time, y/n. Would you like me instead of my uptight brother?" Percival's voice was mocking, but he would never touch you. Joke though he may and he would never admit this but he feared his younger brother.
He had been delighted when Ominis dragged you to Gaunt manor, the whole family had. Seeing Ominis get off his high horse and acknowledge his heritage was a treat for his siblings. After all that he had said to them, about them, for their dark magic, there he stood with his wife bound and gagged.
There he stood asking the assistance of the family he'd tried to denounce. The good Auror Ominis Gaunt and there he stood. But the delight had quickly turned to fear, Ominis was unhinged, violent at all moments. Threatening to do unspeakable things and to throw them in Azkaban if they spoke against him.
If you asked Percival, he'd say those aurors delight in violence even more than the Gaunts.
"Do it." Ominis' voice was cold, no trace of your loving Husband, though by now you'd come to understand that was a facade just as much as your feelings. Ominis didn't love you. He only wanted to possess you. You should have run with Sebastian. Once again, you have no idea where he is. After that night, you crawled back to your husband wracked with guilt.
You thought he deserved better and you were terrible for what you'd just done. You needed to make ammends, your happiness be dammned, you needed to be a good wife to Ominis, you needed to learn to love him. Something about that morning with him made you believe it was possible, until you let the words slip.
You wish you hadn't said them, perhaps he would have kept his secret. Perhaps you would have been able to go back to the way things used to be, the good auror and his good wife. But you said it, and he confessed, and there was no going back.
You were a smart girl, a talented, powerful witch. So you didn't respond to his confession, opting to act like you didn't really hear it and nuzzling into him. Laying in his arms until you were sure your husband slept. You got up quietly, making sure not to wake Ominis. You had dressed quickly, throwing together a small traveling bag.
You weren't sure what you'd do but you'd figure it out. Perhaps with Sebastian. You just needed to get out the door. But it didn't open and you used spell after spell trying to free yourself, to no avail.
Ominis had snuck up behind you, using your hair to yank you back, the tug so hard you dropped to the ground. He'd used your shock to his advantage, climbing on top of you, his hands at your throat. His fingers squeezing as you tried to claw at him. "You didn't really think you could leave me , did you?"
There had been black, you didn't know for how long but when you awoke you weren't in your warm safe home, you were in a place you'd never seen before. Ominis having a steady conversation with a man only a few years older than you. "Welcome to my childhood home, Wife." Gaunt manor.
You had started off in a bedroom, your whole life moved to this strange place. It was comfortable, you were cared for and had anything you could ask for. But you were trapped, under constant surveillance, never to leave the walls of the Manor.
The more you fought, teeth and claws, kisses and witt, it didn't matter. The more you fought, misbehaved, and tried to escape the less luxuries you had, the meaner your husband became. Soon your bedroom became a cellar, shackled to the wall by wrists and ankles. Soon the husband you'd known for eight years became a man you didn't recognize.
You take the knife, heavy in your palm. You take a steadying breath before pressing the blade into the flesh at your thigh. You suck in a breath as the tip digs in, a small bead of blood starting to well up. "How far?"
"Your knee." You didn't wait for further instructions, knowing if it looked like you were delaying the punishment would only increase. You pressed harder, bitting down so hard you thought your teeth might splinter. The knife tore through your skin as easy as butter, drawing a path of scarlet across the top of your thigh. "Good girl."
Your breathing was ragged as you wiped away the tears that had escaped. They were walking again. You had been so certain, you had no hope this round. How many rounds of this game do you have to play?
They stopped, waiting for your anwser, you had none. But before you could be told anything another pair of steps could be heard. A quick light patter of bare feet against stone. "He's here brother. He's here." A giggle, Drusilla.
"You're in luck, wife, your savior is here." You swore you could hear the smile in Ominis' voice. And for the first time in almost three months he was freeing you, restraints falling at your sides.
Ominis walked over extending a hand to pull you onto unsteady legs. But as soon you put weight onto your cut leg you lurched forward, grasping at Ominis to try and steady yourself on your good leg. The pain was too much for you to stand on. "You did a really good, my love." The arousal dripped from his words like honey.
His fingers trailed down your skin, finding the gash. He caressed to wound with gentle fingers, making you gasp. He collected the blood on the tips of his fingers, bringing them up to his waiting lips. "Fuck, you taste so good." He let out a soft groan. You could feel his growing hardness start to press into you.
"We shouldn't keep a guest waiting, brother." Drusilla's voice was giddy. Ominis only hummed in response, hooking an arm around your waist to support your weight.
The walk was grueling, your legs shook with every step and you tripped more times than you could count. You hadn't been anywhere near the stairs since he took your eyesight. You used your toes to try and feel around, but that didn't stop you from stumbling every other step. Ominis chastised you at every stumble, every wobble, and uncertain step.
Telling you how it wasn't that hard and if you didn't stop playing the stumbling fool, he'd make sure you had no feet to walk on. Every comment was joined by his siblings' laughter and comments of their own. How you should be better behaved. How ominis is a kind husband by not having punished you sooner. How he should take your feet, how he should let you kneel and crawl before him. It's your proper place, as his wife, as his property.
You never responded, only tighten your grip on Ominis and tried your best to walk on unsteady legs. Eventually, after what felt like hours, you stopped. You could hear the shuffling, the sniggers from all around you. "Just like you asked, Mr. Gaunt."
"Thank you, Floyd." You could feel the eyes watching you as the silence settled. "Mrs. Gaunt." You could hear the horror in the auror's voice. What you must look like to him. Broken, you suppose you must look broken. You only nod your head in his direction, you couldn't muster up the dignity to speak to him if you tried.
Shuffling and a door shuts. Steps circle the area around you, you hear a groan. "Look, wife."
"I-I can't." Perhaps not the best anwser but better than no response, Ominis has taught you that. He comes closer, his hands resting at your shoulders, clothed torso pressed against your bare back. "I got you a gift, wife. It's on the floor, go ahead and feel."
He was doing this to hulimate you further, you knew from the tone of his voice. You couldn't imagine what would be worse than all you have already endured. But none the less you did as he said, dropping to your knees. The action stretched the gash on your thigh, allowing the blood to flow fresh.
You felt along the floor with the palms of your hands, searching for what, you did not know.
"Y/n." A broken sob, horrified. You know that voice, it haunts you. "S-sebastian?"
You try and feel your way towards him, but his hand shoots out, fingers locking around your sore, chafed wrist. He guided you towards him. You let your hands meet his skin, fingers uncertain in their path up his arm. You reach his shoulder, letting your hand linger for a moment. Afraid to feel his face.
The moment passes, your hands find him. His nose is broken, one of his eyes are swollen shut, fresh blood leaking from just above his brow. "What did they do to you?" Your voice is quiet, unsteady. Are you allowed to speak? Do you sound too concerned? Will Ominis be mad at your concern? Will he punish you? What will he do to Sebastian?
"What did he do to you." He was angry, his words venomous. "What did you do to her, Gaunt." Ominis scoffed, fingers wrapping in your hair to yank you back to your feet. "This woman is my wife, my property, I'm free to do with her whatever I please. And I have, not that it's any concern of yours, fugitive."
"She can't see me."
"She can't see anything you imbecile." Ominis sneered, "Fret not, Sallow, it's only temporary. I would never deprive my wife of seeing me forever."
"Dear sister, have the house elves bring tea and pasties. I wish to entertain my guest by the fire." Drusilla giggled, "Yes, Brother." Your head was pounding, your thoughts clashing around in your head like loose knives. You could barely make out Marvolo and Percival announcing their leave and telling Ominis to teach you and that animal a lesson.
They were gone, Ominis was dragging you by your arm, dragging Sebastian with a spell. All the way to the soft couches in front of the blazing fire place. He made Sebastian sit on one, he sat in the opposite one across, making you stand in the center.
"Come, wife." Another lesson you learned. On your knees once again, you felt your way across the carpet until you felt Ominis' shoes. You let you hand feel around his crisp slacks, adjusting to sit between his legs. Still on the floor, beneath him, not his equal. You don't deserve that, not after you betrayed him.
"Good girl." You felt Ominis' wand press to your temple, heard him whisper the incantation. And for the first time since you'd been moved to the Cellar, you slowly started becoming aware of your surroundings.
Your eyes burned, felt as if he'd stuck a hot poker in them rather than restoring your vision. Your hands shot up, plams digging in, trying to relieve the ache. Ominis fingers dug into your jaw cruelly, jerking you up to face Sebastian.
Sebastian didn't look at you, even through the fading haze and blur, you could see that he was looking at Ominis. "You never could commit." He jerked his head towards you. You looked up to see your husband's reaction, he only tilted his head in confusion.
"If you were gonna go through with this," he motioned at you with a dismissive hand, "you should have gone the whole way. Why carve up everything but her face?" Oh, right. You tried to forget. But just cause you haven't been able to see them doesn't mean they're invisible to everyone else.
"My sweet wife had a momentary loss of her sanity, she seemed to forget who she belonged to." Two house elves came scuttling in, heads bent in submission. They did their jobs quickly and quietly, setting down the trays of tea and still steaming pastries. Scurrying away quicker than they came.
"I had to remind her and anyone who looks at her. She's mine."
Sebastian scoffed, "You're such an insecure twat, you had to carve your name in a person. You do seem to be forgetting that, old friend. She is a person, one you claim to love and you did that to her."
"Were you not the one who had just suggested, I couldn't commit because I didn't carve up her face as well?" Sebastian didn't respond, "I'm sure you agree, Sallow. Her face is just too pretty to mark up."
"Tell me y/n." You were scared, terrified, Ominis had instilled that feeling in you. You felt it at all times, trembled when he called your name. But even those moments didn't compare to now, didn't compare to being in front of Sebastian. Ominis had finally found the one thing that could break you, through and through. The thing that could take your last miniscule bit of hope, of sanity and shatter it into a million irreparable pieces.
"Yes ... husband." You wanted to be the woman you were, the witch that had saved hogwarts at only fifteen years old. You wanted to be her, you needed to be her. For Sebastian if not for you. Merlin only knows what Ominis already had the Aurors do to him. Yes, you needed to be strong.
"Who do you belong to?"
"You, husband. I am your wife, Ominis."
"Can you prove it?" If only you'd been a legilimens. You had no idea what he meant, what he wanted. What would you have to do? How would you have to hurt? Hurting yourself, you could manage but not Sebastian, never Sebastian.
"Ask anything of me husband, and I'll deliver." You looked up at him, the world finally settling into place. He smiled down at you, petting the back of your head with a soft touch. The smile that graced his beautiful features, another would call it loving, sweet. But you know the truth, it was venomous, and he is a viper preparing to make the final strike.
"Come here, pretty girl." He pats his lap, certain in his movements. He knows you won't run, knows you won't deny him. He's right, of course. You climb on his lap gingerly, trying not to dirty his suit with the remnants of the cellar that cling to your skin.
You sit, facing him, pretending away Sebastian's presence. You wrap your arms around his neck, eyes tracing the curve of his lips. Viper, evil viper bastard. No, no. You're not allowed to think such things. Ominis will punish you. Be good, behave. Behave and he will be kind. He is your kind husband. Your good Auror.
"I've been working on her training, she's come far. I'm so proud of her." Ominis cooed at you, gentle fingers running over your cheek before pushing a lock of hair behind your ear. You looked down bashful at the praise, your hand falling to his shoulders, thumbs rubbing over his collar bones.
Loving, that's how it looks, how others would see it. But you know better. You're sure Ominis does as well. Your hands are twitching to wrap around his neck, twitching to wring the life from him. You would, if it were only you and Sebastian. But it's not and you wouldn't get far, you wouldn't make it past this room let alone out this manor.
You don't think they'd kill you, no, you've seen the way his brothers devour you with their eyes. And while Ominis may be evil, may have become your captor, your tormentor, an evil you know is better than one you don't. Ominis protects you from his family and for that at least, you're grateful.
He smiling at you, he's looks at you as if you're a goddess set before him, he's smitten, wholeheartedly devoted to you. False, so gut-wrenchingly false. A devoted man, a devoted husband would never do what he's done to you.
Ominis takes his wand casting a spell towards Sebastian, you look back to see the blade edged wire wrap around him. Sebastian grunts, hands shooting up to stop the wire attempting to wrap around his throat. "Stop!" The word came out on its own, your mouth no longer under your control, "The more you struggle, the deeper it cuts." They were already burrowed into his warm tan skin, fresh blood welling up all over his body like a thousand rose blossoms.
Ominis fingers are on your jaw, pulling you back to face him. "Are you worried about him, Mrs. Gaunt." Dread, cold and heavy, settles on you. "I-I just don't... I-" You couldn't find the right words.
"You don't worry about other men." You nod, "Now you're going prove that you're mine. On your knees. Let's put on a show for out guest." You can't look back, you can't see Sebastian's face as you slide down, as you settle yourself between Ominis' legs. In a just a few months this has become a second nature, these movements have become instinct.
Your fingers are nimble, practiced as you undo your husband's slacks, allowing his already hard cock to spring free of the restricting material. "Don't degrade yourself like this. Why are you trying to please this bastard." Sebastian sounds hurt, you don't know it's for you as a person or if he sees this as another man sullying his property. Does Sebastian see you the same way Ominis does? Is he just another unknown evil? You're better off with the one you already know.
You wrap lips around his cock, tongue curling around the underside of his shaft drawing a groan from Ominis. He leans back, letting himself get lost in the pleasure. His hand softly stroking your head as you bob up and down. His chest rising and falling with heavy breaths. "Doesn't she look so pretty like this, Sebastian?"
He didn't respond, defiant. Ominis finds defiance unacceptable. You can't accio a person, that's a law of magic but you can accio something on that person. So none the less Sebastian was being dragged forward, forced to his knees beside you with just a flick of Ominis' wand.
You didn't look up at him, you couldn't. Couldn't look him in the eyes as you hollowed your cheeks around your husband's cock. "Tell my wife she looks pretty with my cock in her mouth." Still nothing, Sebastian refused to even look at you, his eyes trained to the ground.
Ominis scoffed, using your hair to pull you free of him. "I allow you the luxury of seeing my wife like this and you have the audacity to not even look at her." Ominis fingers were in Sebastian hair now, yanking his head back, wand trailing the hallow of his throat. "Tell me, Sallow, is she she only worth looking at when it's your cock she takes?"
"I'll not be a tool you use to hulimate and dehumanize her." Ominis struck him, hard enough to knock him back. The wires digging in further as Sebastians hands fly up to block his face. Ominis stands, holding a hand to pull you up with him though he faces Sebastian as he scrambles back to his knees, eyes glazed with unshed tears as he looks at you.
"Seems our guest isn't being sufficiently entertained, my dear." You only look at him, awaiting instructions, it was a statement not an invitation to speak. Ominis let's his fingers trail your spine, allowing goosebumps to blossom across your skin.
"Bend over."
"What.." Your voice is high, shocked.
"Are you mine, y/n?"
"Y-yes, of course."
"Then prove it. Bend over."
You glance at Sebastian, hoping he can see the apology in your eyes. Hoping he knows, deep down you love him but you can't say no. Ominis is your keeper and there's no changing things now.
You do as your told, baring yourself to Ominis, hands braced against the top of the couch. You close your eyes, ashamed. Wishing you were dead, wishing you were anywhere but here, reminding yourself that this is your fault, you should have been a better wife, this would have never happened if you had just loved Ominis in the first place.
"See how well she listens, my sweet wife." He grips your thighs, pulling your legs further apart, just how he likes them. His fingers plunge into you with no warning, making you grit your teeth to keep from crying out. Ominis hums, "My poor wife needs a little assistance, she's not wet enough to take me."
You look back, an apology ready to fall from your lips. But Ominis isn't facing you, he's facing Sebastian. His wand poised to strike, with a slash and a whispered incantation, he does. A deep gash spreading across Sebastians cheek, he doesn't cry out though his body shakes with the evidence of his pain.
Ominis takes a few steps closer, close enough to prod the cut and collect the flowing blood in slightly cupped fingers. "Ominis?" He doesn't respond, he walks back to you. Still bent, he shoves all four fingers into you. His pace is slow, relishing in warmth of your cunt wrapped around his fingers. Wet and dripping Scarlett.
"Please Ominis." You're fighting the nausea climbing up your throat. "Do you hear how she begs for me?" Ominis doesn't stop his ministrations, his fingers curling at gummy spot that makes you spasm and squirm beneath him.
He can feel your body providing the necessary slick, mixing with Sebastian's blood as his fingers slid in and out. He grips your hips with his other hand, holding you in place, he can feel you tensing around him, he knows you're close. Your body is a traitor, uncaring of your minds protests, uncaring that it's your lovers blood coating your insides and dripping down your thighs. Your body only cares about Ominis, his fingers expertly ripping your orgasm free.
It hash and painful, leaving you shaking as you try to keep yourself standing. "Good girl." Ominis voice is gruff, arousal coating his words. He pulls his fingers free, wrapping them around his already leaking cock. He gives himself a few tug, allowing to pink slick coating his fingers to coat his cock. He can't stop the groan that falls from his lips. Feeling your juices on him, feeling your pretty cunt flutter around his fingers, it was almost enough to forget about Sebastian.
He could almost forget why you were all there. He just wanted to fuck you, wanted to bury himself as deep as he could, wanted to sink his teeth into your flesh and let your sweet blood fill his mouth while you tremble beneath him. But he couldn't right now, this, this is a lesson. To you his traitorous cheating wife and to the scum who thinks he can have you.
He lines himself up with you, letting himself sink in slowly, savoring the feeling. His hips moving at a teasing pace. "Your body knows what you want even when you try to deny it."
"I wasn't-"
"Don't lie." He pulls you into him by your hips, fingers digging in with a bruising grip. "Your body, at least, knows it's owner." He no longer holding back, his pace becoming quick, animalistic. He's rutting into you like it's the only thing that exists. The sound of wet skin overlapping the sound of crackling fire.
You cry out, letting your tears fall freely though your husband takes no mind. You try and escape, try and let your mind create a sanctuary, but it doesn't work. Nothing can distract you from Ominis' assault or the feeling of Sebastian staring a hole into your face, he is witness to your shame and that is your final straw.
Your body is not yours to command as it quivers beneath your tormentor. Ominis' thrusts become more erratic, sloppy and harsh as he comes undone, fucking his seed into with a few last thrusts. He pulls out, letting you collapse onto the sofa, you pay no mind as your thighs smear blood and cum into the cushions, as your hole leaks the remaining fluids, soaking into the fabric.
Ominis snatches his wand up, facing Sebastian. "No standing ovation? I think such a magnificent show is deserving." Sebastian sneers at him, "You're just as sick as the rest of your family, you always have been." That might have wounded him once but no longer, Ominis shrugs, "Gaunt blood flows through my veins as it will flow through my childs. It's a fact of life."
"Your child?" Sebastian looks at you, you curl into yourself, bringing your knees to your chest, covering your stomach. "My sweet wife had been taking contraceptives without my knowledge, that's why I'd yet to put a child in her." Ominis tucks himself away, fixing his now stained clothes.
"I was able to remedy that when I brought her to the Manor."
Sebastian let's out a choked sob. "Wife, do you think he's learned his lesson?" Ominis comes to stand by your side, pulling one of your hands to his lips. "Yes, husband." You didn't look at Sebastian, keeping your gaze locked on your entertwined hands.
"I agree. I have no more use for him." Your eyes shoot up to look at your husband, hopefull when you haven't been in so long. Even if you're never to be free of Ominis at least Sebastian will be. "Yes, we should be rid of him. We need never see him again, husband."
Ominis smiled down at you, pleased. "I was thinking much the same, my sweet girl." He leans down, pulling you into a deep kiss. "Would you like to go back home? Back to the way things used to be, before he came back into our lives? We can leave this mess in the past, we can be happy again, my love. Would you like that?"
"More than anything." It was the truth, twisted as it may be you wish you could go back, you really do want to. "As do I." You look at Sebastian, really look at him, wanting to memorize his features one last time. It breaks your heart to see the tears that streak his face, the cuts and bruises marring his skin, the way he trembles. But it would hurt more not to look at him knowing this will be the last time.
You look away, back towards Ominis. You grip his hand tighter, stroking his knuckles with your thumb. "Get him out of my sight. Please husband. Let's no longer let his presence interfere with our lives, our growing family."
Ominis smiles, genuine happiness gracing his features. "I need one last thing and then we can go home, my sweet."
"Anything, Ominis."
He leans in, close enough for his lips to brush your ear as he whispers, "Kill him."
What a fool, you're a stupid fool. You got ahead of yourself. Of course he wasn't going to let him go, you were stupid to think he would. To think it would be that easy, that you could go back and pretend away these last few months. You stand abruptly, taking a hasty step away from Ominis, "No." Your voice is strong, certain.
Ominis looks disappointed but not surprised, "I was really hoping I wouldn't have to do this... Imperio."
A haze sets over you. You feel like you're looking at the world through a foggy lense. Close but too far to touch. You can feel Ominis, his heart beats alongside yours, it beats in your chest. You can feel him, like his soul has become yours, no longer two people but one.
"My sweet." His voice is smooth like silk, sweet like honey. It's intoxicating. "Yes, love?" Your voice is far away. Not coming from you but around you like a fading void.
Ominis hands you his wand. Your skin is set ablaze and left tingling where his fingers brushed yours in the transfer. "Kill Sebastian."
You had forgotten that man was here, you had seemed to forget about anything other than Ominis. You face Sebastian, giving him a quick once over. He looks like a man ready to meet death, perhaps you're doing him a favor. Without a second thought you raise your arm, wand in hand, "Avada Kedavra." The magic surges free, so powerful your arm shakes as the spell rips free, leaving your whole body uncomfortably warm.
All you see is green for a moment but that flash fades. You rub your eyes, trying to ease the irritation from the flash. "Here, husband." You hand Ominis back his wand. Never bothering to look back at Sebastian, never bothering to see your handiwork. It didn't matter, you did what Ominis asked.
Ominis is all that matters, all that will ever matter. You wouldn't let that dead man plague your thoughts unless your husband commands it. You look up at him, watching, waiting for his next command. Response to the hot takes: Phoenix is a better Dad in DD than AJ.
Reason I think this is because in AJ he abandons Trucy to work on the Jurist system for all of case 3, with no warning and apparently this isn't the first time he's done this to her. Sure you could argue he wasn't leaving his 15 yr completely alone cuz he knew Apollo would watch her but, given he doesn't know Apollo very well at this point, nor asks him to babysit his daughter makes the situation worse imo.
Meanwhile in DD he is busy with work yes but to me is much more present in her life and communicates with her regularly even while working as a lawyer, still far from a fantastic Dad in DD but seems to be better. So I'm curious as to why people think he's a better Dad in AJ cuz I just don't see it that way but maybe I'm forgetting some important details?
Also I haven't finished SOJ yet (only finished the first case yesterday and yet to start case 2) but given he risked his life in a foreign country to defend a stranger (who to be fair is 9 but it's still concerning how fast he jumps into accepting the death penalty imo) when he has a 17 daughter doesn't give me much hope for how good of a Dad he's gonna be in SOJ (but please don't spoil the future cases for me)
Strongly agree | Agree | Neutral | Disagree | Strongly disagree
Apologies in advance for this long response. It turns out I feel very strongly about a certain thing in DD, and how it pertains to Phoenix as Trucy's dad.
I won't say anything about SOJ for spoiler reasons, though I do have issue with some things in that game as well (which contributes to my feelings about Phoenix on this topic overall). Also, it's worth mentioning that I haven't played or watched the second trilogy since my first playthrough back in early 2021, so there could be important things I'm forgetting or misremembering.
I do have issues with some things in AJ, as well as things mentioned about the 7yg, but my opinion on Phoenix’s parenting there is still much more favorable than in the following two games.
For DD, Trucy isn't present much, from what I can recall. She's there occasionally at the office and says a few lines, mainly, but her largest role happens in 5-5, which is also the case where my issue lies (despite really enjoying that case overall).
Her role starts well as Phoenix's investigation assistant, but it kinda falls apart once they separate. From what I remember, she suddenly runs into the space center (to go after Apollo, I believe), and I can't remember if there's any sign of potential danger at that point, so I can't definitively say whether Phoenix should be faulted for letting her go/not going in after her.
However, once he finds out about the danger of the hostage situation, I found his reaction to that and attitude towards it for the rest of the case to be extremely underwhelming/inappropriate, to say the least.
He doesn't show nearly enough concern for his daughter's safety and life when he finds out and throughout the case, even when her life is repeatedly threatened. And as much as I love the banter between Phoenix and Miles in that case, it probably makes the relative lightheartedness (despite the high stakes for numerous people involved) stick out even more.
We're also in Phoenix’s POV—we can see his thoughts. So there can't be the excuse that he's putting on a brave face and is struggling more than we can see.
But what makes his reaction stick out the most to me is that we've seen how Phoenix has dealt with a similar situation to this before: in JFA (which I'm assuming you've played, as I'm about to mention major spoilers for it).
The rest is under the cut for 2-4 spoiler reasons, and also because this post got quite long.
Maya gets kidnapped. Her life in exchange for a not guilty verdict. Phoenix was in despair when he found out, nearly passing out, and he worried for her throughout the entire case. He even went to some questionable lengths (at first) to secure her safety.
Now, this is fine by itself. I don't have any issues here, and I think he acted appropriately. 2-4 is actually my favorite case in the series. My problem comes from when we compare the two scenarios and see how 5-5 Phoenix handles it.
Firstly, his concern should be, at the very least, the same level he showed back then. But it isn't anywhere close, when in reality, he should be much more upset at the circumstances in 5-5.
We have Maya, who was only a friend to him, an adult at the time, and also someone he'd only known for a little over a year at that point. Then we have Trucy, his daughter, not even 18 yet and Phoenix is still legally responsible for, and someone he'd raised for the last 8 years (half of her life).
Then the difference in their captors. De Killer is a cold, logical, professional assassin. He doesn't act hastily. His actions are very calculated. Maya is also his only hostage and the only insurance he has to keep Phoenix working with him and trying to defend Engarde. He wouldn't kill Maya unless there's absolutely no way for Phoenix to still defend Engarde. In that situation, Maya is too valuable. There's a certain safety and comfort in that, as Phoenix would have less worry that Maya would be killed, as long as Matt isn't declared guilty.
Let's compare this to Aura, who is acting in the opposite way to De Killer. She's not a professional killer, and the hostage situation was an act of desperation. She's more prone to acting rash and killing hostages because she's acting out of emotion and desperation to save her brother, as well as to avenge Metis.
She isn't able to think carefully and logically in that instance. It's not just business to her like it is for De Killer (his “aftercare” as he would call it). She also has numerous hostages and far more leverage than De Killer had. She could kill Trucy and still have influence over the prosecutor’s office, as they still had other hostages to worry about. Phoenix also had other reasons to take that case and keep defending, considering Athena was the defendant (though, if Trucy actually died, it could be too difficult for him to continue the case).
So, not only should the person who was taken hostage be more important to him in this instance, he should be more concerned as, logically, Trucy was at a higher risk of being killed than Maya was.
Again, I think Phoenix’s reaction in 2-4 was appropriate. The problem is with how he handles the situation in 5-5.
Even though he should be reacting more severely in the 5-5 situation, due to the increased chance of death and due to whose life is in danger—he doesn't. The concern he shows is a sliver of that, and because we have seen how he's reacted in that type of situation before, it makes the incongruity here even more obvious.
How it was handled here in comparison to 2-4 left such a bad taste in my mouth, that it significantly dragged down my opinion of Phoenix as a parent (and that's without getting into the issues I have with SOJ).
Even with that, I don't think he's a bad dad. Especially considering the amount of bad dads in this series. In a lot of ways, he probably did the best he could with the situation he and Trucy were in (during the 7yg), especially as he wasn't planning to become a father at that time and with everything going on. So I think he's good overall. But he isn't the best in the series to me.

Playtesting Your TTRPG
So, you've built your own system, or a module for an existing system, or even a set of houserules you want to share with people. What do you do next?
Often, but not always, the next step is to playtest it.
Real quick though, three disclaimers:
-Playtesting isn't always possible. If you can't playtest something, you can't playtest it. That's okay.
-Also, rigorous playtesting isn't always possible. If you can playtest your game a little but you can't dump 100+ hours into it, that's also okay. Do what you can.
-Finally, there's no definitive one right way to playtest. What I'm sharing is my approach, but please do what works best for you.
Now, to get started, you need players.
If you've got friends who are willing to help out, great. Recruit 'em.
If you've got friends but you're not sure how they'll feel about the game, ask them.
If you don't have friends who are willing to help out, you can simulate some players. Imagine a person and walk them through the steps of your game, or play yourself as both the players and the GM.
Now, when you playtest, your goal is this: to have fun with the game.
Try to get through a session. Engage the players. Tell an interesting story together.
For any element that breaks but doesn't crash the game, make a note of it and circle back later.
If any of the mechanics break completely in half, rendering the game unrunnable, that's fine. Stop and fix things only to the extent that you can continue play. You don't need to get everything perfect.
When the session's over, ask the players what they thought about the system and if there were any parts of it that they felt strongly about.
Sometimes their answers will tell you as much about the players as they do about your system, but all feedback is good feedback.
If a player is frustrated because they wanted to power-game and your system wouldn't let them, that's useful information! There might be types of players your game clicks with more than others, and maybe you can add some text to let readers know to prepare for this.
Similarly, if a player is constantly getting confused by a dice mechanic, maybe there's another way to explain that mechanic. Try to draft some other versions of that text.
Of course, if the players liked some part of the system, that's worth recording too. If the players light up at your fishing minigame, maybe you can develop that minigame a little bit more.
What you *don't* need to do at this point is worry about whether your game is good, or stress out if the mechanics hit a snag.
The goal of playtesting is to improve a game, so it doesn't matter if the game is good at the start of the process.
I have had systems break in truly spectacular ways, every single mechanic imploding, the moment someone enters a car or tries to assist on a roll. So really don't sweat it if you find some bugs.
If you've got friends helping you, and if they're good friends, they're not going to give you (too much) grief over the system breaking.
And if you're testing by yourself, then you've got even less of nothing to worry about.
After you've gotten your feedback, the final step is making changes to your game. Fiddle with the mechanics, add or remove material, and generally revise the text based on what worked for you as a GM and what the players liked or disliked.
When you're done, you might have an entirely new-looking game, so provided you can keep playtesting (see the earlier note about rigorous playtesting,) schedule another session and see if there's anything more you want to change.

For the ship game: Leopika and Hisoillu! I don't know your ship taste well so I'm just hitting a couple other big HxH ships hrjfjkjkdlgdfk hope you don't mind
Oh, I don't mind at all, Percy! :)
Hisoillu is... I mean... they are kind of sort of engaged (?) so. Yeah, it makes sense. Also, I can think of no one else in the universe who should be subjected to close proximity with these two on a regular basis hdfhbsdhj. Congrats, you're perfect for each other, just never involve anyone else in what you've got going on ever. Truthfully, I'm kind of indifferent towards it as a ship. It makes sense to me, but it's not something I actively seek out in fanworks I suppose. It's just, yeah, Hisoka and Illumi are together. Happy for them lol. I guess it's mostly because I think murder is their love language and I just... can't see them being romantic with each other in a lot of the more typical ways that characterize many fanworks. Do they want to kill each other, or are they into each other? The answer is both - the murder is an intrinsic aspect of the "being into each other" hdjfbvhd. That said, I think they have a pretty healthy respect for each other, due to probably being evenly matched, I'd say. I think Hisoka genuinely finds Illumi good company, and Illumi readily has fairly casual conversations with Hisoka. Their dynamic is kind of fascinating actually, and I do honestly think they're kind of perfect for each other. Diversity win??? Loss??? I'm honestly not sure lmao
Leopika :') I love the potential for them. Sadly, they don't have all that many interactions in the canon manga, so I would ordinarily say it doesn't make a huge amount of sense, but then we have the 99 anime and the radio skits who seem determined to ship them so hfbgjdhj I have no clue. I'm weird about this ship because I tend to alternate between "yeah they're cute" and "oh god. oh god. them. AAARGGHHH" and experiencing emotional damage hahaha. I am like this with no other ship. It's very strange to me.
The one thing is that I'm extremely picky with Kurapika characterization, in any art or story. If Kurapika doesn't read right to me, I just can't suspend my disbelief. I'm really not big on the "mom and dad" characterization, though no shade to anyone who is.
Peak Leopika dynamic to me takes into account not just Leorio's concern and Kurapika's walls, but also their mutual stubbornness and Kurapika's hilarious tendency to annoy Leorio on purpose. To me, I've always felt that he likes Leorio because he's a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and values individual lives so strongly, so he kind of checks that he hasn't changed that much when they see each other. I think it's kind of relieving for Kurapika, in a way, to know that Leorio will always be himself - "same old Leorio" kind of deal.
I also think Kurapika is just a little shit hjgbvsjdh
But no, I love that Leorio clearly eases up some of the pressure Kurapika feels, and seems to make him feel better about things- that's probably half the reason he keeps him at arms length. I think affectionate bickering is their love language. I also wish people noticed a little more that it's Kurapika who actually seriously initiated friendship between them, not Leorio. In most cases in the Hunter Exam, it was Kurapika approaching Leorio and showing a clear interest in sticking with him and helping him pass and achieve his dream. I think it's incredibly meaningful that one of the first people Kurapika meets and takes a liking to is this guy who wants to become a doctor - the doctor that Kurapika had left in the first place to go looking for. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to see what role Leorio will play in the current arc (just to have more Leorio, honestly, pls Togashi I miss him...), as I'm sure he will eventually find out about Emperor Time and OH BOY I'm sure that will go over well.
Erm. Sorry for rambling. I had a lot to say apparently...

hq | atsumu miya with a figure skater s/o
i feel very strongly about boyfriend!atsumu 🥹
since both of you are professional athletes, your lifestyles fit together harmoniously in spite of events and competitions scheduled at different times
you always have a lot of fun working out together because you often challenge each other (nothing big, just small goals to achieve by the end of the training session), which usually ends with the two of you goofing around
the loser will invite the winner for a well-deserved treat or fix them a refreshing drink at home. it also happens that one of you lets the other win win on purpose when they've been winning twice in a row - it's an unspoken rule between you two, a way to take care of each other in turns
you watch vb games and ice skating tournaments together or let them run in the background while you're cleaning around the apartment. by now, you've become more than familiar with all the rules and stars of both volleyball and ice-skating
whenever someone who atsumu already played against is on screen - whether it was during his high school days or on a professional level -, he will boast about it and ask the tv for a rematch, which always has you chuckling as you lean into him. “he can't hear you, tsumu. though i'm sure he'd want to crush you too.”
it goes without saying that you taught atsumu how to ice-skate. he struggled to keep his balance at first, but with your guidance and his athletic skills, he improved greatly in just an hour. by the end of your first time at the rink, atsumu managed to skate without your help and even attempted crossovers. whenever he succeeded in something you taught him, he would call you from across the rink to show off. “did ya see that!” he would proudly smile at you, his eyes shining - sometimes, he reminded you of an overly energetic labrador asking for pats after completing a trick. and of course, you were immensely proud of atsumu, be it when he stood on the court among world-class athletes or on a simple local ice rink. “maybe you should quit volleyball and become my skating partner instead,” you would laugh, taking his hand in yours and gently spinning him around on the ice
in return, atsumu taught you how to play volleyball. nothing makes him happier than seeing you partaking in his passion, so he deeply enjoys setting for you even though those tosses cannot hold a candle to his usual olympic-level performances. still, playing volleyball with you is particularly soothing for him. when you play together, there are no expectations, no eyes set on either of you, no sports commentary ringing in your ears - you can just spend some time together doing something he loves above anything else in the world, and that's the closer atsumu has come to finding a safe haven
you are each other's rock during particularly nerve-wracking competitions. both of you are used to the stress of tournaments, but after months and months of hard work and non-stop training, the pressure inevitably builds up and you may crave comfort to escape the burden of expectations
when it happens to you, atsumu would hold you tightly and murmur words of encouragement in your ear. “yer the best skater i know, do you know that?” “i know, tsumu, thank you. but i'm not sure the rest of the world will feel the same way.” “screw the rest of the world. you're gonna do yer absolute best out there, and they'll all fall for you just like i did.”
when it happens to atsumu, he rants. he will go over the volleyball move he cannot wrap his head around, what he feels he is lacking, how eagerly he wishes to master it. you listen to him with empathy, but the only way to get atsumu to recharge his batteries is to take him out of the apartment and have him eat. you take him to onigiri miya, where osamu and you cheer him up, each in your own way
you attend each other's competitions whenever you can. you encourage each other from the vip stands and run into each other's arms after his matches and your performances “tsumu, you shouldn't hug me this tight, i'm all sweaty!” “i don't care. yer my champion, of course i'm gonna hug ya.”
because you know atsumu so well, you never scream words of support at him since it shatters his concentration. you watch silently instead, the focused expression on your face or the triumphant smile flashing over your lips when his team scores indicating how much you care for him. you will congratulate him abundantly after the match ends anyway
for atsumu, it's a different story. because you don't mind the noise, he is your most vocal support, applauding and yelling frantically whenever you ace a figure. after your performances finish, you spot him on the bench, wearing your sports jacket and his face mask unable to conceal the wide grin which you see sparkling in his eyes
atsumu also constantly brags about you the press, to the point where his interviews sometimes turn into a rundown of your latest achievements. sometimes you even give interviews together, which amounts to non-stop praise for each other
if you fall, atsumu stares at you fixedly, his knuckles turning white from how tightly he is clenching his fists. but you get back up and keep skating as though nothing had happened, an ever professional smile grazing your lips as the next figure comes, and he feels a pang of both sorrow and love to his chest - that's what he admires most about you, how hopeful and determined you are, how you will always get back up no matter what. he keeps quiet then, knowing how hard it is for you, but when you meet backstage he will wrap his arms around you and pull you to his chest. “ye were absolutely amazing out there.” “i still messed up, tsumu. after i trained so hard...” you could not help but beat yourself up, your voice a ghostly whisper of disappointment. “i know,” he would close his eyes and breath out into your hair, holding you even closer. “and it doesn't change anything to me. yer the best skater i know.”
olympic village shenanigans! you always find ways to meet up in between training sessions, which drives iwaizumi mad because atsumu keeps randomly disappearing without notice
atsumu introduced you to his team-mates, so you end up hanging out with them a lot. you love listening to their stories about high school atsumu and how important volleyball was to them even at that level. you laugh along with them and squeeze atsumu's hand under the table, saying you find it endearing, while he's desperately trying to portray his younger self as unbelievably cool
atsumu is a demonstrative and loving partner, as well as a hard-working and conscientious athlete. you love his fiery temper and competitiveness, his obstinacy and unending hunger for volleyball, the way you always push each other forward. you know that no matter what happens, you want to spend the rest of your life by his side

Here's the fascinating thing about this providing context to Gotham War and vice versa: Bruce says it's just him, that he's in control, but we see that he's an unreliable narrator, that Zur-En-Arrh has far more control than he realizes. There's a reason the opening comics for Gotham War took pains to show us Zur rattling at the cages of Bruce's mind and made sure to thread his commentary all through the event--he had way more influence than Bruce realized. To the point that, when Joker calls to Zur to come out and play, Zur can step easily into his body, that's how close to the surface he was. Which is now being paired with just about the only Joker story I've ever been vaguely interested in because ohhhhh yeah this is the perfect time for a story because this is everything the Joker has ever wanted from Batman--get rid of the riff raff that was distracting you, making you care about things outside of our little game! No more people you love to take you away from our little cat and mouse game! Now all that's left are Joker and "Batman", the most pure form of Batman in Joker's eyes, nobody else will have to matter now, now Batman will no longer hold himself back when it comes to really trying to obsess over and kill the Joker! All right, Zdarsky, I still don't like grimdark loner Batman or Joker-centric stories, both usually are some of my least favorite things, but you have my attention, show me just how rough "Mindbomb" is going to get, because you've clearly been tying this back to a dozen different things and I'll even check "The Knight" out of the library since you were bringing back characters from that series, too. (I think that's what gets me about Zdarsky's writing--for all that Gotham War ramped up and ended way too fast--but I strongly suspect that was editorial trying to make it an Event rather than what was supposed to be a story as part of the ongoings--he has tied in a LOT of other comics for context, which makes me feel like this wasn't just a sudden snap, but that Zdarsky is relying on us to be familiar with just how much shit the characters have been through and why they're at a breaking point now. And I want more "this comic will give context to this other comic" in DC, so I'm cautiously going to give this one a chance!)

✨Let's talk about OCs!✨How would you describe your OC's personality/aesthetic? What's your favourite thing about them? Tell us a fun fact(s) about your OC or their creation!
❤️Send this to at least 3 people to spread some OC appreciation!❤️
Oh wow, you can't just ask the girl with a thousand OCs to describe their OCs. I will go on forever and ever and ever. So in the spirit of trying to force myself to get back to work on PtK, I am going to answer for the girls who have shown up in the story so far!
How would you describe your OC's personality/aesthetic?
Lou: Lou is vivacious, she's bubbly but a lot of the bubbly comes out when she's burying the sadness she has even deeper. She's very confident, and doesn't know a whole lot of shame.
She loves tight clothes with rich colors. Though she frequently slinks around in her blue and gray flex armor suit, especially when she's on Omega because a person like her gets into too much trouble not to have at least the suggestion of armor on her body.
Nilea: Nilea can be stiff mannered and sometimes brash. She has a hard time connecting to people, feeling always a bit like she's just on the outside. But once she does feel like she's friends with you, she's ride or die even if she's quite certain your plans are going to get her killed. She's very neat. She's also prone to bouts of depression where she doesn't take care of herself despite how generally regimented she lives her life.
Nilea cares more about utility than style. Her most recent armor (heavy) was red, but she's not married to the color by any means. And for casual wear she's just wearing an easy and comfortable shirt and whatever the turian equivalent of cargo pants is. It's never a bad idea to have lots of pockets.
Yaeno: Yaeno is the type who can command a room without trying and without coming off as arrogant. She's charismatic and very good at people. She cares deeply about what she does for a living (rescuing people from pirates, slavers and mercenaries when authorities won't get involved). She makes fast friends when she deems those people worth her time of course.
Yaeno, being a quarian, wears an envirosuit. She wears good deep purples and oranges with white embroidered highlights and patterns. Sometimes she even ventures to wear a clear faceplate, but not always. She thinks it's nice occasionally to leave people guessing about what's really going on with her facial expressions.
What's your favorite thing about them?
Lou: She's clever and very adaptable. She makes a very unlikely sort of bounty hunter and that's because instead of brute force she plays to her own strengths.
Nilea: Her principles. She has a set of principles that she feels so strongly about that she even blew up her entire life about. Also.... tall alien woman with a gun...
Yaeno: Her determination. I don't necessarily want to call it unshakable confidence, though confidence plays a role. She's sure enough of herself and her goals to look at the impossible and terrifying odds and chuckle at them.
Fun facts about their creation!
Firstly, this story all started because I had an idea for a homebrew tabletop game I'm still trying to figure out how to make rules for.
(If you've got ideas about that please let me know.)
Lou: Lou started because I was tired of people with southern accents being the stupid one in a group and also not being represented like hardly at all in sci-fi media. Also, I dumped all of my bipolar manic episode impulses into her.
Nilea: Her name was originally going to be Ione.
Yaeno: Was originally just going to be in the game as an art for character creation pages and possibly as a named NPC but then this whole venture turned into a real story in my brain that I needed to write very badly.
Thanks for this fun little chain ask! Reminds me of the days of yore.

viddy game asks :)
4, 7, 11 and 27
4. Worst game you've ever played?
Uhhhhhhhhh in recent memory silent hill 2 remake. I didn't even really want to hate it going in but it makes so many poor decisions for no reason. It's also way too long. I think what makes me feel even more strongly is everyone loves it and I don't understand what they see in it besides the think James is hot now? The combat is awful the story changes are weird they RUINED the abstract daddy fight, and the puzzles have too much interactivity to the point it's obnoxious. Also the fact the game is a time loop now COULD NOT BE STUPIDER.
7. A game you'll never forget?
I weirdly think I have to give it to resident evil code Veronica given it might single handedly be the reason I am the way that I am.
11. Hardest game you've ever played?
Hotline Miami 2 on account of the fact it's not very good in terms of level design lol. Especially if you compare it to the tightly constructed maps of the first game, 2 literally does not compare. Which is a shame because I adore hlm2 narratively.
Other than that idk. Maybe armored core 6? I took a full 45 minutes to beat the tutorial boss and who knows how long to beat the one. Y'know. The enemy is doing some touhou shit mlord. But I did beat the game eventually.
27. Has there ever been a moment that's made you cry?
Hmmm there's only like two moments I can think of and they were for different reasons. The first one i can remember was BioShock infinite burial at sea episode 2 at the end where Elizabeth died. I guess I just wasn't expecting it or it was the music or something. A lot of people hated that dlc though so I'm sure no one agrees.
The other one would be specifically the messages from other players during ending E of nier automata. It doesn't help I played that game during a really not great pre medicated part of my life so getting all those encouraging messages from strangers was nice.

Helloooo!!! I was looking for inspo for my own visual novel a little while back, it's set in a ballroom so eventually the keywords lead me to discovering save the last dance (and itch.io in general im a total noob to this lmao) i dont know what it was but it just like took a vice grip around me INSTANTLYY.
So I downloaded the main game today and I am actually silently cursing you because I got nothing done all day I was just like transfixed. The artstyle grew on me alot, and oh godd the character designs... God I love the designs, espcially Genzhou's. There's just so much love (even in every gruesome death scene lol) put into this it's almost difficult not to get obssesed...
Also sidenote I found it kind of encouraging almost to see that you're (self-proclaimed) older, I found that really inspirational lol. There's something that just makes me want to create and actually sit down and learn when I play your games. I guess I've always had this feeling of having all the time in the world but recently I've been feeling almost like it's too late to learn new skills (which is kind if ridicolius since I'm like smack dab in the middle of gen z). Regardless I guess your work made me realize the artistry in visual novels, I could keep going but I tend to ramble lol
ahhhhhhhh this is so sweet!! i got very weepy reading this, especially as i'm already feeling quite soft today as it was a bit of an anxious one... 😭💕
that's fascinating that you found StLD first searching for ballroom stuff!! i am always curious how people first find out about any of my games. i'm happy you enjoyed it, especially enough to go play the main game sob. i'm incredibly touched
and i'm even more touched that you've been enjoying the main game so much 😭💕💕💕 especially all the kind words about the art!! i've grown more confident in my art more recently but especially in the beginning stages of the game i was incredibly self-conscious and worried about it because it was rather odd-looking and didn't match any other typical VN styles. so that's really sweet of you to say. this game certainly has had a lot of love put into it (and blood, sweat, tears, my entire life... etc.). it is very much a big passion project and my eyes were perhaps too big when i got started, but because it dug itself so deep into my psyche and i also made some good decisions like releasing in parts, etc., i've been able to keep working on it until the end despite it taking me like 2.5+ years so far. i'm not even sure i can put into words what this game and chars have done for me and my life and the many journeys and discoveries i've made along the way
dkjfalsdkf yes... i am a millenial, i will say that much. though i don't often feel like one. except for the fact that i often have no idea what people are talking about or referencing and tend to be awkward and confused most of the time LOL this is also why my characters are all older, as well. i sometimes feel a bit strange since i feel much older than many of the others in the VN dev sphere (well, perhaps in age only, not really in mental maturity maybe LKDJAFLKDS). if this can give inspiration to others that are also a bit older though, then i am glad 🤣 i have spent much of my life going from thing to thing and never really knowing exactly what i want to do. case in point my current job has nothing to do with my master's degree. though the one constant has always been creation of some kind, whether it's drawing or writing (and now with games, doing both of those on top of scripting and coding and a bajillion other things lol). i don't think you should ever feel "too old" to do something. or to get started doing something. or to feel like you "haven't done enough" etc. i say this so strongly because i also try to reassure myself sometimes perhaps LOL it's also ok if you don't know what you want to do so you're just trying out different ideas that you're passionate about. so many of us just wanna find something that makes us feel fulfilled and passionate, that makes our hearts ache, that fills us with joy and motivation. so if you can find something that does that for you, no matter how old you are, grab it and don't ever let go lkdajfalskd
at any rate, i'm glad i could also help you discover more about VNs in general. i hope it will be helpful as you work on your own games!!! 💕

Hi! I'm a big fan of your work! I really love lost and found (so far, I'm 75% done with the first book, so you still have ample time to hurt me with later plots lol) and I especially love your writing style. It feels so human and beautifully contrasts with Jack's most in human moments, which end up standing out and being some of my favorite moments.
I would love to be able to pick around in your brain real quick.
First: What do you read? Since most writers are inspired by what they read and get alot of the foundations of their writing style from it aswell, I was wondering what built those foundations for you. Childhood books? Maybe you read something that sparked your interest in writing?
Second: Could we maybe get a peek into your writing process at some point? How you plan or dont plan chapters? How far ahead do you plan? Do you set any particular goals?
Thank you for any answers you give me and also for inspiring me to take my own writing a little more seriously than I did before! You've really inspired me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. :)
Hi! Thank you for the ask, and for your patience. This year so far has been a bit chaotic, and I wanted to set aside the time to answer properly. :)
First of all, I'm so glad you've been enjoying Lost and Found! This fic, as well as Rhack in general, have been a huge part of my life for the past few years, and I've been blown away by the reception of what started out as a very personal and niche project. 💛
Now, for the questions.
1. Reading and inspirations / style foundations
I've got an interesting relationship with reading, in that I've read a tremendous amount as a child/teenager, but some time during the past decade (I'm in my 30s), my brain has developed a bit of a block for reading fiction (I blame a combination of neurodivergencies). Every now and then, I'll get stuck in a book or a fic, but these days, I mostly experience stories in other forms than prose, with my favorite options being long-form tv (i.e. netflix series and such) and games (both story-oriented ones that tell you the story as you play or have your choices shape the story (like Stray, Tales, DBH), and open-world ones that combine plot quests and environmental storytelling (like Fallout and Witcher 3)).
Although I have a bit of internalized shame about not reading much prose these days ('you can't be a good writer if you don't read', etc.), I also maintain that Writing and Storytelling are two distinct skill sets. And while reading is obviously important to develop the Writing skill, Storytelling can be learned from so many places! If anything, I strongly believe that every writer can benefit from experiencing stories in every medium available to them, be it movie and tv, video and tabletop games, concept albums, etc.. Heck, the core plot of L&F grew out of a Borderlands-inspired D&D campaign, so...
That said, I do have favorite writers: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Wendig, Andrzej Sapkowski, Becky Chambers. I may be bold enough to claim that all of their influences can be found in my work, be it in writing style or in the way I approach storytelling.
I also would like to credit a writer who went by Rhetor in a fandom that must not be named, whose fic Counting to Five Thousand upended my entire understanding of fanfic some 15 years ago, showing me that fic can be used to tell beautiful and powerful stories. Your mentioning that my work inspired you to take your own writing more seriously reminded me of them. I remember what it's like to be inspired by a writer in a fandom, and I'm honored to have provided some of that for you. 💛
2. Writing process / planning / goals
I normally think of myself as a pantser (or, to use the fancy term 'discovery writer'), but for long works, especially ones published as they're being written, there has to be at least some degree of planning involved. By the time I start writing, I usually know the general shape of the plot, i.e. what are the characters trying to do, how they're going to try and achieve it, whether they will succeed or fail, and some of the stuff that might happen along the way. I should point out, though, that I always let the characters drive the plot, as opposed to wielding my authority to decide 'this should happen next'. Which means that sometimes, when I get to a certain point in the story, things unfold differently from what I'd been expecting.
For the above reason, I've also found it counter-productive to have too-clear plans of future chapters. Almost every time I'd do that, I'd find myself trying to railroad the characters into doing/saying what I had envisaged, instead of what was organic at the time. Almost invariably, the resulting scenes were stilted and disjointed, and I'd have to scrap them and try again.
I think the best analogy for my approach to planning as a writer is planning for a long walk or a road trip. You can map out the route, aim to hit certain waypoints, get a general idea of how long it will take... but you don't know the details of every bit of the journey until you're actually traveling. The only way to really know the road is to travel it - and for me, the only way to know the story is to write it.
That's on the story/chapter scale, anyway. When it comes to individual scenes, it's a bit like scrying into a crystal ball. I get a glimpse of what the scene is going to look like, or a few lines of dialogue, and use those as a hook to pull myself into the scene. And then the same rule as before applies: the details become clear once I'm writing it down or talking through it with my story accomplices. (I always do need to get it out of my head, though. There are people on here who say they can daydream their entire fics: that's not me. I need to get the story out, otherwise I'll just keep circling the initial 'preview' of the scene and not get any further. )
There are, of course, rare and precious times when plotting and pantsing align just so, and I end up with something that feels organic while cleaving to a structure. My favorite example of that is the L&F chapter The Man Who Isn't Jack, in which AI Jack's existential journey follows his journey through different parts of Opportunity while also tentatively mapping to the five stages of grief as he grapples with human Jack's legacy and his own status as AI programmed to act human. Not gonna lie, I'm damn proud of that one.
...Now you see why I needed to set the time aside to answer. Once again, thank you for reading, and for asking, and feel free to ask more, because I could talk about this stuff forever. And last but not least: I wish you the very best of luck with your own writing! 💛

The consequence of the inconsequential
You look all around you and everyone is racing ahead at breakneck speed. Kevin just got a much-coveted promotion. Sarah's fashion blog is taking off. Mike's new fitness regime really played well on his abs. There is something everyone has that you don't and you can't help but believe you're falling behind, that everybody is doing better than you, and that in the game of life, you've been cheated on by the universe; somehow, you got dealt the suckiest hand to play with. Sound familiar? I'm sure it does. Been there. Am there.
No matter how strongly I decide that I need to start working on myself, I end up falling head-first on this quest for self-improvement; as a pronounced pattern, I would give up even before I began. So many times had this happened, that I was convinced at one point that humans are by nature self-sabotaging. This was before one fine day when the Divine Revelation came to me during a hot shower that there's a chance that this inability to take action and turn my life around stems from my feeling overwhelmed at the sheer number of things I wanted to change about myself. In retrospect, that made sense. Whenever I would discover something new I needed to work on, my first reaction would be something akin to: “Yep, that's about right, sigh. Another brick on the wall, I guess,” — and those bricks stacked up to form towering wall, one that had become too formidable to look at. To go further with that metaphor, crossing that wall and expanding my horizons had become an insurmountable challenge (pun certainly intended).
What came with that knowledge was the painful recognition that I did not like who I was, and that I needed something of the scale of a house-remodel to fix myself. And what did I choose to do with that knowledge? — I drank a glass of water.
I know what you’re thinking, how does that help anything? As silly and as inconsequential as that sounds, it worked! It set the ball rolling, and contrary to the proverbial rolling stone that gathers no moss, small actions aligned in the correct direction snowballs into something massive and positively unstoppable! Let me explain how that works. The first day all that you need to do is drink enough water. This is a simple challenge; sitting next to a bottle of water would do the trick. Every once in a while your attention will be drawn towards it, you’ll be reminded of your agenda, you’ll take a sip. By the end of the day, the odds are hundred is to one that you’ll have drunk more water than you usually do and you’ll feel good about yourself. In comes the beauty of the feedback loop of accomplishment. This minor victory fuels a drive to keep going. Tomorrow, you’ll drink more water and take a ten-minute walk. Day after, you’ll drink more water, take a ten-minute walk and dust off the old gym equipment that hadn’t seen the light of day in many months. Each little step you take would invariably contribute towards the ultimate goal of attaining satisfaction in our being.
Trying to tackle this challenge head-on is setting oneself up for failure. Change doesn’t happen overnight; it takes sweat, labour and it takes its sweet time in coming to you. Instead, breaking it up into smaller sub-goals makes it actionable and each sprint up to the finish line less intimidating, drastically increasing your chances at succeeding. The glass of water is just a placeholder, you could substitute it with any other easily-achievable aims that you have in mind. All that matters is you start small and slowly build momentum to plough through the bigger, more demanding issues on the list. If you stick sincerely to this strategy, there is no force on Earth that could trip you up.
As I conclude this unsolicited soliloquy, there are two things I would want to remind the readers. First, this isn’t a magic formula that solves everything. It would demand a sizeable amount of dedication, effort and energy from you. It is also not fool-proof; there will be hitches along the road, sure as the sun. There will be set-backs, days when you go back to square one, that’s life. Before you start making faces, let me clarify, that’s not such a bad thing. When we operate under that prevision, we’re eliminating the necessity to succeed every single day; we would feel less pressured to perform and less afraid to fail. We would take it for granted that failing was a part of the process and that doesn’t imply we need to start over allowing us the liberty to resume normally next day onwards. Second, it is no lie that starting takes a lot of initiation energy, which is one of the principal reasons why we procrastinate. The metaphorical glass of water masterfully eliminates this problem. It takes little to no effort to do, nor a symbolic dawn, a new beginning. Why wait for the next day, when the next hour, next minute, next second are equally good? Thus, the readers are advised to keep this attribute in mind while picking their substitute for drinking more water (if you can think of nothing else, this itself would do just fine!).
Everyone is capable of change, believe in yourself. Start today, start now! Because the grass is greener where you water it.

Quick Game Reviews: Games I played 2022
Whoa, what is this? Will I get this done on time, or is this doomed to be released unfinished when it's automatically posted on the 31st? Only you will know!
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker [PC]
Endwalker is probably the best possible expansion a game could hope for. Shadowbringers had just managed the herculean task of unifying like 7 years of content and plot that seemed mostly disparate and succeeded fantastically, so it was really cool to Endwalker take the core concepts that were introduced in ShB and run with them in a way that made the game "End" in such a satisfying way. Story had me on my toes the whole time rewarded players who had tried all sorts of side content, and even made me like characters I strongly disliked through the whole game prior.
Sage and Reaper are pretty cool too. I'd highly recommend giving FFXIV a try if you haven't, and of course if you've been away from the game and haven't played Endwalker it's definitely a masterpiece in its own right.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus [Switch]
This one was really surprising. After having come from BDSP, probably the worst games in the entire main Pokemon series, I didn't have high hopes they'd pull this one through. What ended up happening though is that, while still having its bugs and graphics problems, Gamefreak is definitely capable of making a cohesive game with fun mechanics and feels good to play. Battle isn't that complex, but given how slow and obnoxious normal Pokemon battle is the lack of abilities and new styles are a fresh change of pace.
Movement outside of battles feels good, if a little janky. What really sets it apart is how fun it is to actually sneak up on Pokemon and use pokeballs and food outside of combat to catch them, and adds an extra level of play that supplements the simplified but interesting battle style well.
One thing I can say about this game: it feels like a complete experience. I'm not missing out on the ability to get certain pokemon becase there's another version. I'm incentivized to play with all sorts of pokemon with all sorts of playstyles to fill out the pokedex. Exploring could leads to new items and rarer Alpha pokemon. Quests allow you to keep goals, and the battle challenges are at least interesting. That's something that no other Pokemon game has been able to offer since they stopped doing the 3rd, "best version" of the games like Emerald and Platinum. I highly recommend this game, and believe it's the best Pokemon offering Switch has (including SV)
Super Mario Run [Android]
This one was interesting to go back to. So I picked this up because MyNintendo finally started doing okay physical rewards, and this game is a very good weekly source of Platinum coins. In the process, I went ahead and 100%'d this game. It's pretty fun! It's got a lot of challenges, the toad rush and remix run are fun stwists on the existing levels. It's a shame Nintendo saw the millions they made from this as a failure and went with Gacha models instead.
While it's not as satisfying as your normal Mario platformer, it's definitely a fun mobile game and worth the $10, especially with weekly platinum coin challenges
TIS-100 [Steam]
I will be 100%, I have not played this game very long. I really like these kinds of games, however for the past few years I've fallen into a place where every time I think of playing these, I get caught up in "Well, what I really should be doing is coding for real." Then I go on Reddit or Twitter and do neither.
The short time I did have with it was fun though! I'm not sure I would call it a good intro to programming since it's mimicking assembly instructions, but if you're curious it's definitely an interesting experience and pretty similar to how how that sort of language works.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land [Switch]
This is probably the most faithful recreation of a 2D Kirby game into a 3D platformer that you can get, and boy it was a long time coming. The games fun, albeit pretty easy, and has a lot of post-game more challenging content (that is also not too challenging). That's not to take away from it of course; Kirby's a fun, relaxing game usually and this is no exception. Even though this is more a Super Mario 3D World than a Super Mario Odyssey, the transition to 3D is handled very well, and I'm eager to try more Kirby games in this style. It could do with a little more content, but then it runs the risk of overstaying its welcome. I highly recommend this to anybody who's ever enjoyed a Kirby game; It's not groundbreaking, but it does the Kirby formula well
Lost Nova [Steam]
This is one of a few games I've played where I don't really have a solid enough opinion of it to really recommend it or not. I got like an hour in and really liked the vibes it was giving off (cute top down exploration game, very wholesome) but got distracted and never picked it up again. I'm a big fan of the artist, Jon Nielson, and his other game projects that I've played, but this is one I'll have to restart and get a good grip on.
Dusk [Steam]
I grew up on a multitude of games, and Doom/Quake were right there. It was nice to be able to revisit that style of gameplay, and Dusk certainly nails the aesthetic and feel of it, but I think the levels themselves leave something to be desired. A lot of the time I was running around in open spaces between buildings that were packed with enemies and items, and that felt a lot less Quakey to me. Still, that much is a personal preference and I didn't end up taking this one too far, but for retro fast FPS fans this seems like a very solid choice!
Going Under [Steam]
This was another in the string of Rogue-lite's I played. I was pretty surprised because I wasn't expecting this kind of gameplay when I first got it, but this is another that I didn't spend too much time with. From a strictly personal level, I've become really tired of corporate culture and HR speak. While this is parodying that, it still struck a nerve that was difficult to get into because the kinds of things I've dealt with were just too similar to the joking happening here.
Visually it's very fun and I do love the style. Gameplay wise, it seems like it would take a bit to get used to the controls and how the mechanics with weapons interplay with combat and different enemies. It definitely has its charm and is a labor of love, but I myself couldn't revisit it.
Bugsnax [Steam]
This one was one I'd been wanting to play for quite some time. A friend described it to me as Pokemon Snap but with puzzle elements and a mystery story, and I was down for it. That's pretty accurate, and the whole game is very charming. Without giving spoilers, I was very invested despite a lot of the characters at least seeming very 1-dimensional at first, but each one actually gets fleshed out into something more real and interesting the more you look into them. My only gripe is the physics on some of these things made it very annoying to catch certain bugsnax that required precise timing. For example, there's be a flying bug above an aggressive bug, and you had to knock down the flying bug into the trap, trigger the trap, and collect it before the angry bug noticed any of it and knocked you and it over. That being said, there aren't many instances like that and it seems like the kind of game where there's an easy solution to catching them all.
Another pretty high recommendation for those interested in a fun story experience and some collectathon elements
Rogue Legacy 2 [Steam]
So I was a big fan of Rogue Legacy when it first came out and 100% it. When I picked up this one however, nearly a decade after the original released, I had a lot more experience with rogue-likes and what I wanted out of them. This game is definitely the Rogue Legacy experience, however for some reason I found myself way more easily frustrated with it than I did with other Rogue-Lite's I've played recently. Something about how immensely the stat boosts and things outside the castle affect how you play within it just doesn't feel as good as learning the game better and just playing better, or unlocking alternatives instead of just straight upgrades. That and there's like 4 gear-like systems outside of the main game, which just seemed overly complex.
All-in-all, if you liked the original Rogue Legacy you'll probably like this one since it's a lot more of the same with additional things to grind, but for me personally there are better Rogue Lite experiences out there
Dead Estate [Steam]
Look, no- Look see I- Wait, listen. Hold up, no. Stop. I know what you're thinking, and yes I absolutely clicked on this game initially because of the thumbnail. We're moving on.
Barring that, the game is crazy fun! 2 Characters to start with going into 8, 4 of whom have entirely unique playstyles and 8 different floors to go through. Loads of secrets, challenging but not repressively so, and a very charming and funny but with an interesting story with plot twists galore, Dead Estate is probably one of the best Rogue-lite's I've played in a while. My only gripe is that they could do with a bit more content (which they are launching out as well so I will revisit it!) and that the 2.5 D Isometric angle sometimes messes with enemy placement relative to the character, but all in all I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun rogue-lite to scratch that itch! Especially now that they're updating it, though expect to take a little bit to get used to the 2D isometric jank.
Kirby's Dream Buffet [Switch Download-Only]
I got this one near launch thinking "Hey, this will be a fun time! Kirby spin-offs are typically loaded with content and fun things to unlock, so this should be at least a few days worth to keep me entertained!"
Not so.
Not sure if it's been updated since release, however when I played your only real option was to go online and play the normal game, which is just kind of okay. The racing is a bit of a crapshoot; it's really easy for one player to pull ahead of the pack and have the Mario-Kart issue where everyone behind them is fighting to get close to them, and the ending area is really the one that matters. The final battle minigame is also a bit hectic but not really deep as well. None of it is particularly satisfying, and it's something I would've expected to be a side multiplayer mini-game in a mainline Kirby game instead of its own release. Unless this gets an update that lets you play for free, this one's a pass and not worth the money.
Dr. Mario Rx [Switch Online: N64]
I revisited this one since I never 100% it as a kid and unlocked the final 2 characters, and figured with the save state system I could at least make it so I didn't game over. Boy, do I get why I never beat it!
This game's charm, which future Dr. Mario games will routinely miss out on, is that there's a very simple plot and weird Wario Land 3 characters scattered throughout. Sure, it's not exciting, but having another player character to go against is fun, and seeing Wario and all his wacky enemies react to a puzzle game is just delightful. Of course, the game is RIDICULOUSLY HARD and you can only unlock the final 2 characters by completing both story paths on hard WITHOUT DYING. I'm convinced this is impossible, making the NSO version of this the best possible version for allowing people like me to finally get their closure of a complete character select screen. Dr. Mario Rx is probably the best Dr. Mario experience you can get, and while I wouldn't say get NSO for it or any of the N64 library, it's definitely a highlight of the library if you have access. It's difficulty can be incredibly frustrating though, and this is a game I would encourage using the save state function if only to restart levels after a loss.
Disney Dreamlight Valley [Switch]
This one's funny because my sister actually played this for a month while I watched and was nearby, so while I don't have direct experience I do have enough to give a recommendation on it.
It's pretty clear this was an attempt by Disney to appeal to the exact market of Gen Z/ Millennials that have nostalgia for their childhood and were struck hard by the pandemic. Basically, it obviously saw Animal Crossing's runaway success and thought "Oh shit, that's a market!" It shows, pretty hard.
As far as gameplay goes, it doesn't seem bad. You run a Valley with a bunch of Disney characters around. You farm, fish, and do favors for these characters while trying top build up friendships and solve mysteries of what happened to the island. On paper it's a good idea at least In practice? Well.
The game is incredibly buggy. Like I can't believe Nintendo let them put this up for sale levels of buggy. I understand that it's in "Early Access", but looking at this through my Sister's eyes, who has no concept of a game which was sold for money being a buggy alpha version, this is an incredibly poor show. The music stutters, quests would easily be stuck in an un-completable state because of bad logic, characters interact poorly, timed music did not lined up with the mechanics, and the game would frequently come to a standstill and crash. When she wasn't actively fighting it, she was engaging in what was your basic skinner box with villagers asking her to find, fish, or craft (crafting animation matches AC's almost 1-to-1) , and while there's definitely something there, the whole time I was watching I just felt like this was a really cynical cash grab. I would avoid this, especially the Switch Version, like the plague until they've removed it from "Early Access" and their monetization scheme gets finalized
Splatoon 3 [Switch]
I am still coming to terms with the fact that no matter how hard I try, no matter how much I research, and no matter how many times I delve into it, I will never be good enough at most competitive games that I like to be able to play online in a way where I'm not bogged down by my own disappointment with my abilities and frustration at the game.
It is a good thing then that the Single player and Salmon Run in this game are so much fun! While I can't say those themselves are worth your $60, I can say that I had a great time with it while I did play, and really enjoy the setting and world they've built with the series. While it doesn't break much ground in comparison to the previous game, it's definitely worth a go if you've enjoyed the first 2 entries.
Kirby and the Crystal Shards [Switch Online: N64]
This is probably my 7th time revisiting this game. As a kid, this game felt very challenging and I never 100% it. As an Adult, I realize it's more arguing with the floaty controls and knowing the really hard to find 3 crystal locations, and then just paying attention to where you can get the power ups you need. It's definitely not the best or most content heavy Kirby outing, but it's definitely worth a play for the cute character interactions and fun of mixing and matching power-ups. The experience is worth like $5 at most these days, but for sure give it a go if you've got access to it for free.
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope GOLD EDITION [Switch]
This now being a spinoff franchise is really cool because it's wacky and out there, but still very fun to play. Gameplay wise it's not too much different from the original. The grid is gone and replaced with normal movement, which has some downsides but is overwhelming a positive change. The more open level nature is also welcome, and the humor is still pretty good.
The biggest issue with the game for me is something that not everyone will take issue with, but it very much kind of misses the tone. It feels like a rabbids game with 5 Mario characters in it instead of a Mario spinoff. The environments, plots, and characters are all Rabbids and loopy fantasy mix, and none of it at all to do with the title characters until the very end. The first game combined Mario, Rabbids, and toysets into the environment which all gelled really well together, but without the Mario aspects it really just feels like they made a game without the Mario characters and then threw them in as an afterthought.
It's still a wonderful game and I highly recommend it! Just don't go into it expecting a pre-sticker-star Mario RPG level of world building and storycrafting
Banjo-Kazooie [Switch Online: N64]
Another 3D collectathon classic I revisited and 100% this year. I still strongly hold that Tooie is the better game. Unfortunately it's not currently available on Switch for reasons that are unclear, and the Xbox releases of these games are definitely still the superior way to play with their widescreen, controls, and frame rate improvements. With all that said, this is pretty much the best 3D platformer experience you can get from that time that's aged well enough to recommend, so whether you're like me or are just able to try this for the first time, it's definitely worth the go.
Sonic Frontiers [Steam]
A Sonic lore fan's paradise, and a Sonic gameplay fan's reason to keep holding on. It's hard not to compare this with Pokemon in a lot of ways, if only because Pokemon has similar opportunity to deliver on what fans of the series actually want and has failed bother technically and from a gameplay perspective for several games in a row now (except Arceus, which still could use some work). Frontiers however managed to hit that sweet spot where the gameplay was fun and not in the way of the game, and the story scratched that itch that I've had for Sonic games since SA2.
Gameplay has some series staple Sonic jank, but the action stages are really fun, the boss fights are hype af, and it's just fun to run around in the overworld again. That last point is something that the series hasn't really nailed since dashing around station square in Sonic adventure, and maybe a bit in the 360 versions of Unleashed.
Is it perfect? No, but it's right where I wanted it to be with my expectations on what an experienced developer should be able to do, with some great high points to counteract the low. I do recommend this game for any fans of any of the 3D Sonic games. A word of warning though: the PC version is best. Even though it still has pop-in issues, the framerate and visuals are most consistent on that version and the rest of the ports are just taking bits away.
Nier:Automata [Steam]
This one I'm still playing; apparently getting the first real ending isn't actually enough to experience the full game. I'm halfway to the second now, and I think I understand that.
Game's fun! I feel like I'm missing out on a lot as I go though, which always makes me anxious. I do really like the themes of the game so far and the character interactions, even if some of them are incredibly anime. I don't have a really solid opinion yet, but dumping this many hours into it and then wanting to continue is definitely a good sign.
Pokemon Violet [Switch]
So this kinda bites. For the first time in a long time Pokemon actually managed to nail movement and interesting play mechanics in Arceus, and just threw most of that right out. This game is a buggy mess that a developer with Pokemon's resources and Nintendo's reputation has absolutely no right to release in this state.
Additionally, the story is great! Sure some of the characters are a bit one note, but the ones they did flesh out are really cool, and their character designs are memorable and fun. Mechanically though this game smells; terrastrallizing is very basic and the once a battle mechanic is overdone at this point. Battle animations are somehow worse and the game's pacing is hot garbage. Due to the lack of level scaling, a feature that is canon and has been done by hobbyists for over a decade now, the "challenge in any order" brag is functionally meaningless. Battle is still painfully slow, the game looks ugly which is only exacerbated by the anti-aliasing and texture tiling issues. For the first time in a very long time, there is no post-game battle challenge, which means once you beat it and finish the dex, something Arceus made fun and fulfilling, you're left with nothing.
Give this a pass over for Arceus, at least until they finish updating and releasing patches for it.
BEST GAME I PLAYED THIS YEAR
I am disqualifying Endwalker because A) I've been playing FFXIV for years now so it's not really new, and B) it would win
So, that leaves an actually very tough decision. I'm actually struggling to pick one, because on the one hand I had a great time with a lot of these but on the other some of those are absolutely carried by their IP. While Arceus is a huge leap forward in terms of actually making a great Pokemon experience, it still has some major issues in terms of visuals, general buginess, weird design decisions, and plot/character interactions still feeling very stiff and uninteresting a lot of the time.
Sonic Frontiers is also up there, but again it's because I've waited so long for a Sonic Plot that took itself way too seriously combined with 3D Sonic Gameplay that was actually fun. Gameplay wise there were a lot of great action stages, but also some rough ones, and exploring the islands was fun but could get tedious, felt a bit futile in terms of how broken fishing is, and janky due to pop-in.
Nier Automata was also really fun, but I haven't really hit a point far enough where it feels like I've truly experienced the world and story despite finishing the first ending. Mario + Rabbids was really good too, but it felt a bit more hollow than I would've liked. I also had a rough year mentally, so it's a bit hard to contextualize each of these in ways that would be expressible in text.
I'm of course overthinking it, because I do have a pick, but it was surprisingly difficult. However, this game single handedly took the most time, consistently surprised and impressed me, and offered a fun challenge while still allowing me to vibe at my own pace.
I am, of course, talking about:
Mario's Super Picross [Switch Online: Super Famicom]
What a fucking SUPRISE this one was. I have a very short tolerance for playing games in other languages, but this one was very easy to figure out after just the first couple puzzles. I love picross, I'm a sucker for Mario, and this one is jam fuckin packed with so many levels. It just keeps on giving for days and days which turned into months and months of chilling on the couch, petting the cat, listening to podcasts, and chiseling out a picture of a tiger that could only possibly be considered one after you finished the whole puzzle and they added color and animated it. Have you played the best puzzle game on this Switch yet?

🜲 ⸻ · 。… [ calahan skogman / 28 / cis male / he/him ] in the conflict between lions and men, edwyle umber begins their first steps up the ladder in the game of thrones. known to be passionate and bold, their rumored hot-headed and immature tendencies might prove to be their unmaking. the court bards play upon themes of fists bruised from childhood fights you think have prepared you for war, the red-hot burn of anger at injustice, scrubbing your skin raw from muck after a long day outdoors when composing a tune for them. while they are lord of last hearth and a fighter in the brotherhood without banners, it is said that their loyalties lie with the themselves (aka the brotherhood). only time will tell if the tides shift favorably for them or if the climb is too hazardous for even the most sure - footed.
howdy, everyone! i'm back with character numero two, so please take this opportunity to read under the cut a bit more about the lovely lord edwyle!
the kind of guy who really believes in something, yk? very passionate, a little too passionate about the brotherhood. has a real disgust for most lords (ignore the hypocrisy, tyvm) and thinks it's disgusting how the smallfolk suffer because of things they have 0 say in!
very protective of people, and believes firmly (duh) in vigilante justice. once you've got him, you've got him for life. he does not take betrayal lightly... but it takes a lot for you to get past his surface and earn that trust. you may think you have it before you actually do.
a bit of a manwhore, it runs in the family. has a few bastards running around, but not that many, okay, so don't judge him!
bleeds north, tyvm. isn't too fussed about the old gods, truly, but will defend them with his life against the faith and its followers. sorry, arwyn, be glad i can never make you two interact.
his mouth goes ahead of his head sometimes, and so do his fists — frequently reprimanded by higher ups in the brotherhood for being a bit of a loudmouth, a little too violent, etc. very gung-ho about the cause, and feels EVERYTHING strongly.
fliratious and generally friendly and personable, but can be moody and get gruff quickly if you accidentally (or purposefully) offend him. buy him a drink and you guys can call it even, okay? because otherwise he might get into a brawl. buy him too many drinks, and you also might get into a brawl with him.
needs a serious lesson in responsibility. is frequently flippant about serious matters, is remarkably disrespectful, and is definitely gonna get himself killed one day. laughs at his brother for all the pressure on his shoulders, so, that shows you how much he cares about duty to his house. loves his family, though, and misses the dead one. and loves the north. he's a complicated man, okay? (the complication being: does not want to be ruling lord ever and is a little shit)
is planning on living, laughing, loving it up in king's landing while keeping an ear out for any valable intel for the brotherhood. they need to keep things friendly and peaceful for the smallfolk (he says, as he eats and parties lavishly as a lord while the smallfolk are swept away. that darn hypocrisy again!) and then he can go and bitch and moan about how awful it was.
tl;dr how fake revolutionaries look when a real one comes at them but both people in question are edwyle.

I was expecting to try to figure out what to say about The House in Fata Morgana today because I finally made it through it after basically an entire year (which is still pretty impressive for me considering the best estimates I could find for it's length are in the 300-400k words range, and there are entire years where I don't even read 100k words total combined across everything), but instead I was tired and couldn't get my brain to focus on any of the things I wanted to.
Solution? Play Unpacking instead.
Unpacking is now easily in my top five games I've played this year and also unexpectedly the saddest game I've played this year. No seriously, let me explain.
There have been plenty of other games or moments in them that I had strong feelings about or that made me cry. Unpacking didn't, but it did make me feel something totally different from what anything else has this year: strongly relating to a fictional character (which is a neat trick because you never meet her or are told anything about her other than the contents of the boxes she packs when she moves) and feeling happy for the progress she makes through different stages of her life, but also simultaneously an overwhelming sense of having lost something I probably never could've had in the first place and nostalgia for things that were never real.
At first it was just fun seeing what would come out of the boxes next and rearranging things in ways that made more sense or looked better, and I was impressed by how much of a story they were able to tell with no dialogue and technically not even any characters other than the ones implied by the environment. Just through the environment and gameplay they got me to feel so sorry for her moving in with that guy, like look how much of yourself you had to leave behind to try to fit yourself in somewhere that hardly has anything in common with you and doesn't want to make space for you. And I can't say I ever expected a game to capture the feeling of "crap, I hope this drawer is big enough to fit all my bras in", but here we are.
But here's some context I guess. I'm fairly close in age to the main character. A few years older, but similar enough to know and remember the same kinds of things from around the same ages. It starts out similar enough that I can relate all of it to my own experiences or my friends at the time. Sure I never lived in a dorm because I was too busy dropping out of school for various reasons, but I spent plenty of time in my friends', and then everything got back on track with the shared apartment with friends. Look at all the fun people you've found who share your interests! I could've been happy with something like that for the rest of my life.
I skipped the moving in with some guy (or person of any other gender) phase entirely though and went directly to moving back in with my parents, and that's what most of my life has consisted of. The apartment living on her own actually reminded me of my most recent attempt to live away from home a few years ago, even though that was with other people. It was amazing in some ways and terrible in others. For all practical purposes I started the pandemic with three particularly close friendships/relationships and "ended" it (as if it's actually over) with zero and a lot of things a lot more difficult for all of us. But in the game I see that table up against the brick wall in the kitchen with a menorah on it, and...yeah.
And for me that's functionally where my life ended in a lot of ways, going back to my parents' house yet again after that with my health continuing to decline at worst and not improve at best.
But the game keeps going, through more stages of life I've never really made it to and probably never will. Not in that way. Is that even what I would want from my life if it were an option? At one point I thought so and expected that to be what would happen, but even if I might want something different now it would be nice for a change to not do something because I choose not to, not because the choice has already been made for me by my circumstances.
Great game though, but I'm going to go be existentially sad for a while about the consequences of being disabled in a society that doesn't care what happens to me as long as they don't have to see it.

hii could i request something? i don't mind whether it's a headcannon with some drabble or a longer scenario, do whatever you have time for. make sure you're taking care of yourself 🥰
oki so nsfw haikyuu, im very indecisive so I'll give you a list of some characters - feel free to include multiple alsjdggwgw.
tsukishima, kageyama, miya twins, kuroo, bokuto, yknow throw in hinata for some spice. basically anyone that would rUiN me 😗✌️
okay so for the scenario literally go wild with it, I'd love to have a few kinks involved like dumbification, verbal degrading, use of "puppy", breeding, denial, overstimulation and masochism (or sadism if you look at it from the characters side).
feel free to improv if there's anything specific you've been wanting to write lmao I'm happy with anything.
have fun hehe
Eep! You’re so sweet I could cry T^T. You’re my first ask btw so Thank you thank you! Anyone who enjoys this post, please thank anon! This will also be my first work for haikyuu so I hope it will be good! In addition, i'll write the reader as Fem for now bc it wasn’t specified, so I hope that’s okay<3. I was gonna include all characters, but I felt I kept you waiting long enough.
Okay so im thinking…. How they act when domming WITH BOKUTO, ATSUMU, OSAMU, TSUKI, AND HINATA.
Genre: SMUT/MINORS DNI/ 18+/ Characters aged up
Warnings: dumbification, verbal degrading, use of "puppy", breeding, denial, overstimulation, masochism & sadism, a wee bit of impact play in Osamu’s... it just happened, gagging, nose pinching, praising, oral (fem and male receiving), dom dynamics, use of the word “daddy.
BOKUTO
Bo is a wild card, so anything can activate his dom moods and they can vary from service to hard domming.
You have to watch out for those days when you do something that he finds so cute because that’s when he wants to be a service dom.
And that means fucking you completly dumb.
“C’mere puppy”, just wants to show you how much he appreciates and adores you, so he has to make you feel so good that you turn into mush.
Always fucks you in a position that relies solely on you having to rely on him because it’s such a power trip for him.
Will have you picked up and getting fucked against the wall of your room as he tells you how cute you are.
Seeing you like this triggers something so animalistic in him, he is suddenly so hyper focused as he fucks you like an animal.
LOUDDDD
Just wants to see how wrecked you’ll get for him, but wrecks himself too.
~
“C’mere puppy, gonna pick you up.” You're a mess already, having been getting fucked into on your back by your boyfriend. Still, you put your hands out so he can pull you into his broad chest and up you two go. He smiles at your compliance and goes in to kiss your cute lips, albeit deeply as he sucks on your tongue and bottom lip which makes saliva string you two together when pulling away.
By the time he is done kissing you, he has your bare back pressed against the cool surface of your room walls and is nudging the head of his big, fat cock back into your needy hole. “Ah! Bo, fuck! like this?”
You can’t help but ask while clinging to him for dear life as he bottoms out in you. All he can do is nod, one hand strongly wrapped around your lower back, close to your ass, and the other flat against the wall above your head. He loves the way you cling to him, much like how your soft walls do at the slightest dragging of his cock. In and out. He begins to buck his hips up into you and you bounce at the sheer force of each of his thrusts, breast bouncing gloriously in front of him too as he eyes them.
You’re open mouthed panting in no time in rhythm with his thrusts as your eyes gloss over while looking into his golden ones. He searches your face before using force from his legs to start ramming into your spongy spot and you gasp, “fuck daddy wait!”
“Just wanna make you feel good pup, just let me…” He groans as he continues to fuck into your gspot, making you clench around him sporadically as you begin to moan, “i-if you keep thrusting there-
“You’ll cum? Good, cum for me and i'm not gonna stop either.” He states seriously as he picks up his pace, moving the hand he had around you to your hip and gripping it tightly as he enclosed you against the wall more. You had no choice but to take the harsh thrusts that he was giving you, each retraction taking the air from your lungs before the thrust to your spot delivered intoxicating pleasure.
Your fucking head was getting cloudy as you succumbed to the pleasure, sweat trickling down the valley of your breasts at the body heat you two were producing, the mere sight of you sruggling to determine what you should do makes him go feral. Gripping both of your hips, with a bruising glasp, he makes sure the top half of your back is still resting on the wall as he begins to bring you down on his dick while thrusting up.
“You look so fucking sexy like this! Shit, I love having you on my cock!” He is growling now as you moan incoherent sentences, clinging to him closely you decided on just nodding your head. Too fucked out for anything else as he dominated your throbbing core.
He moans loudly at this as he balls slap aggressively against your ass, “already fucked dumb, pup? Fuckkkkk just how I wanted you.” He says as you start to go weak from the pleasure of your orgasm staring to consume you, moving to place your head in between the crook of his neck. He doesn’t let you though, grabs you by the chin and forces your unfocused eyes to stay on him as drool trickles down your skin from your lolled out tongue.
How could he not watch you go dumb on his cock as he fucks your through your orgasm and into his. You two are going to be so sloppy when he’s done.
☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆
TSUKIII
This fucking Psychopath mean and hard dom.
The most verbal degrader, but also lovesss to humiliate you too.
Just looks at you condescendingly, but is trying to hide his amusement.
“You look so pathetic right now, sweetheart.” is pushing his glasses up with one hand.
Has the other hand buried two fingers deep in your needy cunt.
All you can do is whine because for fucks sake he won’t give you anything, but shallow thrusts. All because
“If you want more then fucking work for it!”
Has you fucking yourself on his fingers in an instant while he snickers and smirks (still being mean) as if his hard on isn’t threatening to fucking cream his pants.
~
“TSUKIII!” You whine as you grip his wrist that is connected to the fingers inside your dripping cunt.
“You look so pathetic right now, sweetheart” He states with a smirk as he gives you two sharp aimless thrusts into your cunt, making you whine louder.
“P-please just give me more! Stop being so mean!” You say as you look up at his shirtless frame. You know by the look on his face that he is having fun, that he enjoys seeing you so needy and you hate that you’re feeding into it. But it’s so hard, when he has been fingering you to the edge and stopping every time right before you could even release.
“You want more? Then fucking work for it, whore!” He says almost sadistically and you nod as you lift your hips up to meet his fingers. You begin to thrust up into his two nimble, long fingers as you clench around him. Your walls are thankful for the aggressive friction that you are finally getting after 3 near orgasms.
One particular rough thrust hits your g spot and you moan lewdly, tongue almost hanging completely out as you feel the familiar tingles of a strong orgasm. Just as you go to lift your hips up to ram into his fingers in the exact same way, his other hand is pressing you firmly down onto the mattress, halting your attempts.
You fucking choke on a sob as tears obscure your vision and he snickers, “Aw you’re such a crybaby!”
But seeing your flushed face and rising chest as your lip quivers, does it for him. And he’s a little mad at himself because you won and don’t even know it. I mean now he just has to fuck you- you just look so pretty, begging for him after he’s been so fucking mean to you. Crying. Gosh, it makes his dick twitch as precum trickles down to his balls.
Yep, now he’s gonna fuck that needy cunny and give you all that you wanted and then some.
♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡
ATSUMU
Much like Tsuki, he is also a mean and hard dom, but actually has the ability to turn into a soft one.
Loves to degrade too but because he loves feeling superior.
Will be at his meanest when he just lost a match and Def takes it out on that cunt.
Right after like right after the game, he has you riding him in the fucking car.
Is being so mean too, “don’t tell me that’s all ya got, ya little slut?”
“Ride my fucking dick then!”
Once you amp it up though, fuck his tune switches so fast. “God yer so fuckin’ wet, gonna breed ya just right bc ya think ya can fuck me like this and get away with it?”
Like sir you were just… anyways he will hug you into his chest and mark your flesh up.
Fills you to the brim while praising and then makes you sit with it leaking into your underwear all the way home
~
“Come on slut, fully sit on it. I don’t care if it hurts!” Atsumu grumbles as he smacks your ass, making your legs quiver and a few more inches to slip further into your stretching sex.
He’s so big and that asshole barely prepared you before telling you to basically spear yourself on his erect cock. He’s only this mean when he loses and as much as you wish you could say you hate it, you don’t at all.
You love proving him wrong and he always tries to be right, the only difference is he is being meaner right now. That’s why he slams you the rest of the way down on his cock and has your eyes springing open as you arch and shake with a loud cry.
You can’t even express how full you feel or how it feels like he could’ve just broken you, but your pussy can. It’s gushing around him as if you just came, making a mess at his base and his neatly trimmed pubes.
“Don’t ya fuckin’ dare cum yet, don’t tell me that’s all ya got, ya little slut!” He growls taking ahold of your neck with his large hand. You whine at this putting your two smaller hands around his forearm and shaking your head ‘no’, mind getting cloudy.
He sits up a bit, sweaty back unsticking from his leather seats as he gets inches from your face, still clenching your neck, grasping tighter even.
“Then. Ride. My. Fucking dick!” He snaps, eyes dark as he swipes his tongue over his bottom lip. You feel so aroused at this point, grinding your hips into his as your walls scream from the weak prep.
He continues to spew mean shit at you, further stimulating you as you begin to ride him faster. He is slipping soon after, groans tumbling out of his mouth as you bounce on his cock like a rabbit.
Whines sharply when you start to clap your ass down on the dick before hugging you to his sweaty chest. Your hard nipples will drag against his skin as he keeps you embraced, strong arms around your back as he sucks purple marks into your skin. Will begin to fuck up into you as he moans, “ya can’t ride me like that and not expect me t-to fill ya up, pretty!”
Doesn’t care for your response, too lost in his own delirium, as he concentrated on ramming all that fat cock into your hole in attempts to get deeper and deeper. And when he hears you finally cry out about how, “ ‘TSUMU! YOU'RE TOO DEEP!”
He is emptying his balls into you, with an iron grip on your hips to keep you firmly planted on him as he repeats, “gonna fuckin’ bread ya! Bread ya so good… look at that cunt drinking it all up ah!…such a good girl.”
☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆
OSAMU
Is the reverse of his brother- Is primarily a soft dom, but knows when to be a hard/ mean one.
Loves caressing you and giving you touches everywhere.
But is really good at commanding, does it calmly with hot lazy eyes.
“Go a little faster… yea there ya go. Good.”
“Don’t do that baby, ya wouldn’t want me mad right?”
Sometimes that is what you want thoe and you’re being such a brat that he understands too.
That’s when he goes Dom, probably having enough of your bullshit.
Like if you’re teasing and disobeying him, per example, when you’re giving him head.
Without warning will put a firm hand on the back of your head and push you forward roughly.
Will fuck your face so meanly, scolding you about how, “this is what ya wanted.”
~
“Come on, go a little faster baby.” Osamu commands and his matter of fact tone, the one he uses when he wants you to do something without protest, sends tingles to your cunt as you flutter your eyes up at him.
Deciding to obey this time, even though you know you want something a little more tonight, you begin sucking on his tip a little faster. He nods his head slowly, relishing the scene before him as he tilts his head back.
He’s really getting into it, baby loves when you suck him off on your knees. It always feels so good and he finds himself in this exact position. Head thrown back, eyes shut, one hand holding your makeshift ponytail, and the other on your cheek.
You love the look in his eyes, lustful and lazily hanging open as his pupils flicked down occasionally to drink in your movements. You were growing needy though, panties getting soaked as you rub your thighs together, sucking faster. His hums of approval indicated that he enjoyed this action as he wets his lips and rakes his fingers further through your hair.
Deviously you decided to take him in further and graze your teeth along his skin, something he loved but did not take kindly. It always made him feel way too good like he would cum way sooner than he would want to, so it pissed him off every time you did it. And you knew that it had worked now too when he let out a surprised hiss as you continued to lightly graze your teeth on his member. His breath is shaky as he lets go of the ponytail that he had formed to keep your hair out of your face.
“Fuckin’ mistake” he states seriosuly as his strong hand pushes on the back of your head, lunching you forward and making his cock fully slot itself in your throat. It hurt, it burned, and you were soaking yourself because of the pain. You loved when your daddy turned into such a meanie.
“Can never use yer fuckin’ words huh? Had to be a damn brat.” He grumbles as he starts to slam into your mouth, making tears trickle down the corners of your eyes as you try to keep up with the brutal pace.
He is groaning by now, the force of his thrusts making the veins pop from his arms and legs as your thighs get wet with arousal, “ya like it that much, nasty girl, huh!” You try to tell him yes, but a quick slap to your cheek makes you moan like an absolute slut. It was not enough to hurt, just sting and utterly surprise you, but it was more than enough for you, “don’t fuckin talk when I'm blessing ya with a full mouth.”
His tone is still as calm as ever which makes your pussy throb even more as you nod rapidly, desperately, doe eyes looking up at him as he smirks slightly before continuing to stretch your throat with brutal snaps of his hips. When he begins to cum, he makes sure to thrust fully into you, on his tippy toes, as he firmly plants one hand on the back of your head while using the other to pinch your nose closed.
You cum untouched, choking on his seed and gasping for air as tears stream down your face. But all he says is “ya wanted this and ya liked it, my little masochist.” Osamu has no problem being a sadist for you.
♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡
HINATA
SERVICE DOM !!!
Such a precious baby (reminds me of Izuku) loves to eat you out, but because he really wants you to feel immense pleasure.
Is so attentive, sucks on your breasts, licks your inner thighs, places kisses on your ankles and legs before diving in.
Holds your hand while using the other to spread you apart.
“You taste so good baby.”
Is the type to shake his head from side to side while eating that pussy.
Will overstim you on accident at first, but realizes he loves how easy it is to reel orgasms out of you when you’re sensitive.
“Cum again for me please?”
Oral with him almost always leads to over stimming… both ways.
~
“Another kiss here… and here….here.” Hinata mumbles against your skin as you arch into the touch of his soft, wet lips. He started at your own lips, made his way down to sucking your neck and breasts, paying special care to your nipples. Sucks and nibbles on them for so long that you're wet and the buds are throbbing and sore.
He will then move down, dragging his tongue down your stomach, kissing your belly button, licking at your thighs before grabbing them. He spreads you open, groaning at how your cunt is seeping with arousal as he stands up, your legs on his shoulders while he admires you.
Will kiss your ankles as he rubs his underwear covered cock along your slit, collecting your slick and dampening the fabric. When he can no longer kiss your flesh or produce light touches here and there, too needy, he dives in and kisses your pussy.
“Sho!” You gasp as your hands fly to his hair, weaving into the orange tuffs as he licks a long flat tongue up your entire cunt. He’ll sigh against your puffy clit after this, amazed that he gets to taste you whenever he wants, and this starts the feast.
He starts to suck and nip at your folds, cute nose bumping against your clit which makes you squeal each time, “you taste so good baby.” He groans again as he reaches to hold your hand that abandoned his hair in favor of gripping the sheets. Your heart swells at the cute action as you grasp his warm hand back and he reallys starts to get lost in your soaking cunt.
So engrossed in tongue fuckng you while rubbing your clit with his thumb, he doesn’t register your slight warnings of, “S-sho you’re going too f-fast!” Because you weren't used to being touched and cared for so attentively, him being the first to do you like this, and your orgasm was approaching so fast it was shocking you.
Precum is rushing out of his cock when you start cumming on his tongue, but he doesn’t stop there. He starts to shake his head between your legs from side to side, further stimulating you and getting sloppier, as he gulps and slurps and continues to eat you out.
“TOO SENSITIVE!” You yell as you start squirming away, but his hold on your hand just gets tighter as he flicks his eyes up to you, “cum again for me please? I know my beautiful girl can…” He says, hot breath fanning your quivering cunt as his dark eyes look up at you. You whine at his words, but accept and he's back to over-stimulating you, using his tongue to weave through your folds and into your hole, rubbing your clit harder.
You gush so much for him by the end of the night. And he hasn’t even fucked you with that monster stamina yet.
