Supersum Update

I know that this week is supposed to be a Supersum update, but there's been a lot of things happening in my life recently and none of them have been conducive to my writing as of late.

My cat died last Tuesday, and that's been surprisingly hard to deal with. Today, I came home, saw some paper on the ground and couldn't figure out why my cat hadn't destroyed it yet, and yeah.

I'm packing up my classroom, because I'm moving to another district, and I have a lot of shit, which is surprising?

One of my coworkers is actively trying to be a bitch, and while I can deal with it and her, it's also just one more thing.

It's the end of the year for students, I just had to cram three days of grading and final exams into two because we lost a day due to a storm that ran through the area last Thursday. So bad, that we had 100+ mph (160 km) winds that ran through here, and some people are just now getting electricity back.

Annnnd we're under another tornado watch tonight. 🙃

I have therapy (physical, brain, anxiety) every single day of the week, and have for the past three weeks. I have two different types of therapies on some days.

In short, I am very, very tired, and I have not gotten anything done in terms of writing or cleaning or anything really, and I haven't even looked at the latest chapter, so it's definitely not ready to publish tomorrow.

I am really sorry, but I'm going to have to postpone the update for this week.

it took me a bit to figure out how to answer this because a lot of times i see people ask this and people go 'oh maybe it was a mistake, if you tell me who you are, i can check'.

and as much as i support people blocking liberally, i'm not someone who does. if i block someone, it's because they either make me uncomfortable or unsafe.

i have unblocked people before but it turned out to be a mistake as they just made me feel even more unsafe and supported extremely questionable rhetoric.

so you can see that i don't exactly want to like, say it was a mistake or anything. i'm sorry, anon, maybe it was or maybe it was a long time ago and i do believe people can change so i'm willing to entertain that if you want to tell me who you are, i won't post it publicly, but i don't want to promise anything.

hi tysm for the ask anon !! this is gonna be really disappointing, but i was thinking about scrapping the series as a whole. i wasn't really liking the pacing and how the plot was going :(

fyh was my first smau and long series ever, and i was terrible at planning the chapters and plot, so it wasn't the greatest. (i'm still invested in the concept of a boba shop au, so it might make a comeback on the new blog <3) i really wish i could update for it again, but i'm more into blue lock currently :( i still love haikyuu so much tho, so pls don't be mad with me ;w;

Dunno how to put it properly into words but lately I find myself thinking more about that particular innocence of fairy tales, for lack of better word. Where a traveller in the middle of a field comes across an old woman with a scythe who is very clearly Death, but he treats her as any other auntie from the village. Or meeting a strange green-skinned man by the lake and sharing your loaf of bread with him when he asks because even though he's clearly not human, your mother's last words before you left home were to be kind to everyone. Where the old man in the forest rewards you for your help with nothing but a dove feather, and when you accept even such a seemingly useless reward with gratitude, on your way home you learn that it's turned to solid gold. Where supernatural beings never harm a person directly and every action against humans is a test of character, and every supernatural punishment is the result of a person bringing on their own demise through their own actions they could have avoided had they changed their ways. Where the hero wins for no other reason than that they were a good person. I don't have the braincells to describe this better right now but I wish modern fairy tales did this more instead of trying to be fantasy action movies.
