Okay everyone I'm writing but also I am going to rant for a sec because I have to get these words out there or I will explode

There are only a few men in my master's program because it's therapy and that's a pretty female-dominated field but there's this ONE MAN that has been sort of incorporated into the group of friends I have and oooooh boy is he getting on my nerves lately. He makes comments frequently about being a man and being careful not to mansplain and stuff but then he just does it without being aware because he's "trying so hard to avoid doing that" and that makes it worse!! I am literally a research assistant to the head of the program (she's super well respected) so I know her very well. He just started taking one of her classes and he texts me like every day telling me about her as if I wouldn't know???? And he talks over me all the time!! And he reaches out and asks me questions about school logistics or tests and I give him answers and I swear to GOD he's always like "hmmm are you sure??" like WHY did you ask me!! If you were just going to tell me that I'm wrong!! (and then I'm right btw). And everyone thinks he's a genius or something because he's a man with an opinion in class but I swear he's just yapping half the time. it's just so UGH.

I feel like sometimes the men that are hyperaware of misogyny are the ones at risk of doing all these little things because they think they could never do them. Or they think that just because they point out they're a man that means all of their actions come from a good place that doesn't belittle women. Anyway I am losing my ever-loving mind and I might punch this dude

once the SC went out for worsening weather, they pitted him again on lap 30...only to put him on new, cold inters...with which he tried to catch up to the pack, spun out and crashed

he's a rookie and it's his first wet race in f1. gaetan said "we know it's hard, just survive" but how do you expect a rookie to NOT crash in heavy rain on cold inters. either they vastly overestimated his talent or they were just clueless

just because the "majority" of the field was on inters doesn't make it the right strategy. you just gotta be on the right tires at the right time. you gotta listen to your driver and work with him. that's how you win fucking races

Taylor Swift fan dies after feeling unwell during concert in Rio

Ana Clara Benevides, 23, fainted and was taken to a hospital near Engenhão, but did not survive

Ana Clara Benevides, 23, died on Friday (17th) night after feeling unwell during the concert of singer Taylor Swift, who debuted her tour in Brazil at the Nilton Santos stadium in Rio de Janeiro, with an audience of over 60,000 people.

The information was confirmed to Folha by Estela Benevides, Benevides' cousin, who received the news over the phone from the doctor who tried to resuscitate her. The young woman is originally from Pedro Gomes, Mato Grosso do Sul, but she grew up in Sonora, within the same state. She was sent to the Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital after fainting and being attended to at the stadium. The cause of death was cardiac arrest.

Benevides was at the front row and ended up fainting on the spot. According to nurse Thiago Fernandes, 22, a friend of Benevides, she was resuscitated at the stadium for about 40 minutes. On the way to the hospital, she had a second cardiac arrest.

Benevides arrived around 8 p.m., was attended to, but did not survive, dying shortly after at the hospital near Engenhão, in Méier, in the northern zone of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

The heat index at the venue reached 60ºC and unofficially, firefighters counted a thousand faintings during the event. Fans complained on social media about the prohibition of bringing water bottles into the stadium, considering the intense heat.

Maybe if you learned what it was like to see through the eyes of people like Bisan Owda, Wael Al-Dahdouh, Motaz Azaiza, Hind Khoudary, or maybe even the six year old Hind Rajab who died after traveling through a "Safe Zone" with her family and being stuck in a car with their bodies for 12 days.

Calling it genocide is problematic in many ways. Including for the people who suffer from this war.

Calling it genocide allows the the activism to be mostly anti-Israel, instead of pro-palestine.

For example, focusing the efforts on "stopping Israel" and "Israel is bad" and "boycott Israel", instead of "how do we save lives" and "why Egypt not opening the borders".

Less "ceasefire now!" (Though a good target) And "defund Israel!"

More "release the hostages and let humanitarian aid in".

(not to mention that all those efforts, for some reason, never go to other places and other people who suffer. Never even go to Palestinian in refugees camps - in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria.)
