i'm genuinely not even mad about s4 because the second i got an inkling of what might happen in episode 5, i googled it to see if it would happen and found out it does and immediately emotionally flatlined and just scrubbed my way through the rest of the season lmfao

but all that being said, i fucking LOVE the time-travelling horror of being stuck in the subway for seven years, and i still love when they do that kind of montage. those types of montages and the group dance scenes are truly when TUA's at its best

the idea that five is stuck in this bullshit AGAIN, that this is exactly what he was afraid of and lila's never suffered it before but now she KNOWS the consequences of reckless time-travelling and how five must have teared into her about it at an inevitable breaking point, but ultimately they're stuck here together and they have to find a way back no matter how fucking long it takes because for five it's just business as fucking usual so honestly who cares if it takes another 50 goddamn years

all the shots of five and lila deteriorating in the subway, all the "year one" "year three" markers, when their moments of companionship were PLATONIC

Hell plenty of names in Japan are genderless! Haruko and Haruka are both worn by either gender. Jun and Midori are also worn by both. Tsubasa and Yuki as well...

And if you want to stay "western"? Here's a few names that are neutral regardless of spelling Dominique, Alex, Claude, Charlie, Sacha, Jess, Jessie, Robyn, Noel, Andrea, Ange/Angel, Camille, Noa, Chris....

Good fucking lord that finale sucked, especially Roy and Jamie getting into a fight in a pub like… did any of that make any fucking sense to any writer involved? I understand in-story that they both still have feelings for Keeley but like… a fight? A real, honest to goodness physical fight where they are bloody and battered? There’s no way in fucking hell that Roy Kent- knowing everything he knows about James Tartt Sr’s abuse, what he’s seen with his own fucking eyes, how he’s held Jamie through it- would physically assault Jamie. There is no fucking way! And don’t even get me started on them fighting over Keeley, like she’s a prize to be won and LIKE THEY HAD NO CHARACTER GROWTH OVER 3 SEASONS! It makes no fucking sense and I refuse to believe it happened. I mean... how do you go from them at the end of episode 11 to this?! Make it make snese.
