I only learned about this shameful affair a few months after the release of Fake Worlds End in late 2023. In this post, I will describe what happened and my subjective opinion of lunariamv as an active domestic Charon fan on the Internet.

First let's understand who lunariamv is. lunariamv is an online game maker (active on Tumblr and tiktok) who has been reviled by charon fans overseas for pirated charon games. lunariamv started out as a painter, but one day he started to imitate charon's games. At first, it was just the imitation of the painting style, and then gradually began to copy the original. lunariamv's Doom Stones is a direct copy of charon's Makoto Mobius. Not long ago, lunariamv copied Mikoto Nikki again.

Now let's talk about my personal feelings

My favorite charon character is Mikio from Makoto Mobius. I've only been active on Twitter for six months now. The first time I saw the Doom Stones CG I naively thought it was some unfinished work by charon. And then I was misled, like an idiot, and I posted it on Twitter. Later, under the explanation of the Internet fans, I found that what I saw was something contrary to heaven. (I ended up deleting that tweet because it was disgusting to think of copycat stuff as a family thing) and lunariamv drew Mikio as a man...

lunariamv, don't you get it? The decision to change the original in order to make it look less identical is disgusting...)

He claims to be artistic and aesthetic without any consideration for anything else, like A saying to B: "I like your dress, but you will be mediocre without it, so I will get the same dress as you." Let me make my position clear: I do not oppose those who learn from charon's painting style, and the later development of painting style depends on the reference in the early stage. But isn't it a little cheeky to copy the plot? lunariamv claims to be a charon fan, but she would rather draw a fan map of her own game than a fan map of charon's own character. In addition, lunariamv's early works were found to have been copied by overseas charon fans.

Like Matsuri? That's right, because lunariamv doesn't make people.

However, lunariamv explained the plagiarism: "I didn't do it intentionally, it was just for fun."

And this guy is trying to mislead his uninformed fans by branding his game as a Charon game.

lunariamv posted a video of herself playing the game she copied from Charon on YouTube. lunariamv's YouTube account:

I argued with him in the comments section of YouTube and was met with sophistry:

Even if you have no business purpose, no intention of making a profit, but you have done such a reckless thing, especially against the Charon group, lunariamv, I just want to ask you, is your conscience being eaten by a dog? You don't talk back to other fans, you don't talk back to me, you use the law as a shield when I'm judging, do you really think the world revolves around you?

So I went to tumblr to argue with this asshole. Continue to expose this guy's evil deeds under this guy's blog, and then he responded to me like this:

Who gave you the courage to be a thief and scold me for exposing your ugly face? First: No one listens to your guile, your guile is against ethics. Second, other fans are helping me. I only look at the facts. Third: I am 18 years old. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and had symptoms of delusional disorder. But I'm not retarded. I think lunariamv's comments have violated my right to personal dignity, mocking me as childish, retarded, and incapable of respecting others. No, have you ever respected other fans who come to you to talk to you alone? (There are private messages from overseas fans about how this guy's stolen work compares to the original, but this guy doesn't reply) Do you respect Charon? You're talking about respect here?

Not only was I scolded, but lunariamv wrote a short essay in order to "repay" my exposure:

Just because you acknowledge and praise the original work doesn't mean you can copy it, but if you acknowledge and praise the renovation of my home, you can pick the door lock of my home? What bandit logic...) How can you proudly compare yourself to everything in the world? A: Do you think in other people's shoes? Don't you ignore other fans when they explain to you calmly? In my private letter to you, I just repeatedly emphasized my three demands. Did I verbally attack you? Isn't it true that you plagiarized? (" I'll Take Criticism with a grain of Salt, "and then you posted this quibbling essay.)

"You want the same thing as Charon, Please don't expect it," Then you don't fucking get involved with Charon, you can't be original? You will play matchmaker to get Ieyasu a date/lover

He will legit just roll his eyes at the suggestion, he is way too busy with work

the writers being assholes (derogatory) had no Idea where to draw the line between asshole (affectionate) and asshole (please die in a fire) and it literally murders the effectiveness of what they're trying to say with this arc imo. Clearly this would have been an issue in 11th era stories too, except 11 didn't have that personality so it's rarely an issue for him. But, also, it's why i'm still *side eye* at the idea husbands of river song effectively called the doctor out on their own bullshittery. So... i just have to process a couple things here...

In this year alone, I worked at an awful job where i've witnessed all kinds of awful things and had finally started voicing my harassment and reporting it. My car got keyed by my harasser in response to her getting demoted and HR sided with her. I got COVID - it didn't really do much to me though, just felt like the flu. I put down my emotional support cat in April.

I did a 23 and me and not only found my 6th and 7th grade English teacher in the same class as my genetic grandfather's sister - whom i look like - but i also found out i have another half-brother! (when i said the joke that my family tree is a forest, it was a JOKE) I've been trying to get a house and in doing so, I paid off my car loan. I hope that we will be signing the closing by the end of August (knock on wood) and I'll be meeting said brother by Christmas if all goes right. I also got fired from the job I've been working at for two years, the awful job where all kinds of things happened.

After finally getting to talk to the department head about my harassment - the most recent being where the coworker told me to eat her a$$ in front of all of our coworkers and a week later i woke up to a phone call from my company that they decided to let me go. And after i got fired things. went. N U T S. Not only did someone walk out after masks became a mandate again, but someone else got fired for "saying something to HR that they didn't like" were the shift lead's words, someone else got fired (for drugs i think?) and another person is now being debated on whether they will be kept or not after getting caught stealing $500 worth of stuff!

Yeah, no, definitely keep the thief, not the person who did their job and went to HR when seeing people quit after being sexually harassed and going to security when she - herself - was getting STALKED HOME. That's not all though, haha, i wish it was. My ex employer DOXXED ME out of petty revenge.

I'm now trying to find a new job while seeing if any lawyers will take my case - which may now become a class action thing if things keep proceeding as they are at my old workplace - and I am some signatures away from becoming a homeowner through stupid luck.

unfortunately we dont have concrete answers to a lot of these, but i will do my best!!!! these are some really excellent questions so i want to do them justice. and by do them justice, i mean theyre under a cut because it got really long lmfao.

thanks for the ask–this was really fun to write, instead of doing literally any of the work that i was supposed to.

1. Was everything that Akechi said about the PTs being unjust a part of his detective act or did he really believe that changing hearts was bad prior to the engine room?

SHORT ANSWER: we don’t know.

SLIGHTLY LONGER ANSWER: we can’t say for sure but there’s strong evidence that he was probably telling the truth, actually.

VERY LONG ANSWER: there’s strong evidence he both is and isn’t telling the truth in the TV studio scene, but with the qualifiers that (1) he never necessarily says theyre unjust, he says they’re dangerous. (2) he probably thinks the phantom thieves change hearts in the same way that he makes people go psychotic. (3) his sense of justice is basically entirely based on righting wrongs that have been committed against individuals, not what the law says. (also, when i say “individuals,” i mean himself.)

to the extent that he’s lying–he does say that they’re operating outside the law, and that they have unknown and apparently very effective power that cannot be stopped by traditional law enforcement. traditional justice says that if you operate outside the law, that makes you automatically bad. akechi is playing the part of someone who’s lawful good, so when he says, “they’re dangerous and operating outside the law,” he has to say, “that makes them unjust.”

to the extent that he’s telling the truth, that’s basically everything else he says. i do think those viewpoints are his own for a lot of reasons.

when he talks about the changes of heart, he makes it sound like it’s a thing that could just happen to anyone–even people who’ve done no wrong. when akira voices support for the PT, akechi argues back against akira to say “If [Ryuji’s] heart suddenly changed, wouldn’t you think it was the work of the Phantom Thieves?” like it could just happen to any random joe schmoe. he’s acting like someone could just one day change their entire attitude–possibly for the worse–resulting in terror amongst the population.

we have to keep in mind that at this point in time, akechi has no idea that you can steal treasure to change a person’s heart. he doesn’t even know treasure is a thing, let alone that you have to send a calling card to make it manifest. morgana is the person who knew all that stuff, and akechi definitely didnt have access to morgana when he started his hitman career.

so with the way that he’s talking about the changes of heart, i dont think he assumes that changes of heart always change the person for the better. he has no idea that it’s literally removing a person’s distorted desires. i’m like NINETY-FIVE PERCENT SURE that he thinks changes of heart operate in the same way that his psychotic abilities work: you cast a persona spell, and a person goes apeshit.

from his point of view, that’s kind of what’s happening. when akechi casts call of chaos, a person starts behaving in a way they never would under ordinary circumstances in the real world. the changes of heart really look exactly the same way to an outsider’s POV. and to akechi’s understanding, call of chaos can be cast on even good people. from the phantom thieves’ POV, only people who’re mega-dicks can have their hearts changed in the first place, because the requisite to have a palace is a certain level of distortion. (futaba, of course, proving that you don’t have to be a mega-dick to have a distortion, but the TV studio scene happens before futaba.)

akechi’s argument is that leaving that sort of power in just anyone’s hands is dangerous. because that’s a LOT of power for one person to have. akechi would know, considering that he’s in the same position. he’s wary of the fact that there’s no guarantee that that person will use it for good.

that, of course, brings us to the question of “well, what does akechi think ‘using power for good’ is in the first place?” does he think that the phantom thieves are using their powers for good? does he think he’s using his powers for good?

when asked why he seeks justice, akechi says: “Because of sickening human beings… Yes, my contempt for such people drives my sense of justice. It isn’t some grand reason like society’s sake or some lofty ideal. It’s simply an absurd grudge… and extremely personal.” 

the traditional, lawful-good way of thinking about justice is that if you operate outside the law, you’re automatically bad. but akechi’s sense of justice seems to be driven primarily from the hurts he’s suffered, the grudges he still bears, and his conviction that wrongs personally done against individuals should be righted. it’s an end-goal oriented sense of justice.

if wrong-doers are punished and the grudges are appeased, then justice is delivered. how that happens does not necessarily constitute justice. my best guess at this time is that he’d qualify a lot as “the ends justify the means,” since his concept of justice is end-goal oriented. 

of course, i think akechi definitely shows throughout the game that he knows that how you achieve those ends is… not irrelevant. i think his black mask outfit (and a bunch of other things he says) implies that he feels like he is a “villain” of sorts. he demonstrates feeling a type of way about killing okumura. he definitely knows that his actions are morally wrong under particular lenses. take a look at this section:

Akechi: Who cares? My targets were all doing the same damn thing in this eat or be eaten world. [referencing that all his victims were dicks who kind of deserved to get glocked]

Akechi: How is that any different from the Phantom Thieves?

Ann: We’re not murderers!

Akechi: (now looking kind of pissed) So what?! [launches into speil about how it’ll all be worth it when he exacts revenge on Shido]

obviously he knows that murder is morally indefensible. but i think he’s justified it to himself as either not so bad because he killed primarily corrupt people, and/or that it’d be worth it if he achieves revenge on shido. he’s doing some kind of weird karma cosmic-scale balancing of “how much can i get away with and still be able to call it justifiable and justice,” and it looks like his answer is “quite a fucking lot.”

ironically, this makes his views on justice fairly practical. rather than idealistically committed to some platonic edition of justice, he’s more of a “what do i need to do to get the goals i want achieved? what needs to happen to make sure that asshole abusers get what’s coming to them? what needs to happen to make sure that i get emotional closure?” the biggest issue with that is the danger of a Pyrrhic victory–the moment where the means so go far that the ends no longer justify them.

all of this is to say: when akechi is talking about the phantom thieves as potentially unjust, i dont think he has a problem with their methods. “methods” are like a knife–it’s about how you use it, and for what.

i think he knows that changing hearts, and turning people psychotic, is morally skeevy if your sense of justice is very puritanical, but his sense of justice isn’t puritanical. i think he’s wary of what they might be using their methods for. again: his big argument in the studio scene isnt necessarily that theyre unjust, only that they’re dangerous.

seriously, though–changing hearts is potentially a recipe for societal collapse if used the wrong way. imagine if the PT were more self-centered and they went the light yagami route with their new supernatural powers, maintaining peace and order through authoritarian fear. that is, actually, the entire premise of the P5 Vanilla Bad End, in which the PT enforce peace through relentlessly changing hearts and making people too terrified to keep committing crime. 

since his views on justice seem to be defined by what the end goal is, he’d have to know what those goals are before understanding if they’re “just” or “unjust”–which is probably why he keeps hounding akira for akira’s viewpoints on justice, tbh. the phantom thieves are only unjust if their end goal is unjust, not necessarily because of their methods. (see answer to question 2 for related/continued discussion.)

2. When did he first suspect the PTs? Did he figure them out immediately at the TV station or did he just become interested in Joker cuz he’s gay and figured it out afterwards lol. Basically who sussed who out first?

SHORT ANSWER: i pretty sure atlus expects us to believe that he figured it from even before the TV showing–he figured it out when he overheard ryuji saying “It’s not easy being phantom thieves” when they were in the hallway. it’s the same time and place where akechi did his famous pancake fuck-up.

SLIGHTLY LONGER ANSWER: the idea that akechi was just super horny for the guy who gave him shit on live TV and then realized that akira was a phantom thief later as a neat bonus is fuckign SENDING me.

VERY LONG ANSWER: because of the scene with ryuji, i’m pretty sure he knew that akira was a phantom thief, and also i’m half-convinced that he somehow got the TV host to specifically choose akira during the “ask the audience” portion of the show. it’s really too much of a coincidence. 

because of that, i think the other implication of the scene is that he wanted to see what akira was made of when he invited akira for a debate on live television, and was pleasantly surprised when akira had something very interesting to say on the topic of grey morality and achieving justice outside the law.

what’s interesting about that scene is that akechi becomes interested in akira regardless of what akira says about the phantom thieves. akira’s options are “They’re justice itself,” “They’re necessary,” and “They do more than the cops”–so it’s not like akira ever says that he dislikes the phantom thieves, but the level of support ranges and two of these imply a justification/reasoning for it. and then akechi fucking argues back on live television like this is some kind of debate, instead of a daytime talk show meant to distract bored housewives. 

like. akechi gets INTO it. justice is his THING. and here’s akira, who seems to be not only a metaverse user operating outside the law like akechi himself, but also has some pretty grey morality thoughts on what justice is and could be, also like akechi himself.

taking it as a given that he knows for a fact that akira is a phantom thief from the get-go, from even before the TV scene ever even happened, then akechi probably keeps hounding him because akechi’s interested in hearing akira’s reasons. he’s not fishing for evidence, since he already knows. this is very speculative, now, but my best guess is that he keeps hounding akira ever after this scene because he wants to compare notes, one vigilante to another, to hear how akira rationalizes his vigilante work as a type of justice. very possibly, he’s seeking reassurance to himself that his own actions are justifiable. (he certainly seems that way in P5R, especially when he wonders about if a “justice nobody wants” is really a true justice at all, or just someone being self-centered.)

so re: “did akechi figure him out or was he just gay,” the answer is. yes. akechi did figure him out, and also akira made him so intellectually horny on live television that he hounded the man down in public for follow-up dates.

3. Does Akechi have a Velvet Room? Does he experience rank ups with Joker and the game over stuff too? 

SHORT ANSWER: we don’t know. no, seriously, we have no idea.

SLIGHTLY LONGER ANSWER: i’ve seen compelling takes on him having his own velvet room, and i think it’s thematically very fascinating if akechi is quite literally akira’s counterpart in terms of cosmic chess pieces, but i would be surprised if he did. but again, seriously, since there’s no confirmation on the matter, i say akechi’s potential velvet room is fair game.

VERY LONG ANSWER: lore-wise, i’m betting no. akechi was yaldabaoth’s piece, while akira was philemon’s (if i’m remembering my lore correctly). philemon provides the velvet room to aid the people he chooses–yaldabaoth has no such deal. the only reason why yaldo was in the velvet room in the first place was because he wanted to fuck over philemon’s chosen trickster.

it’s the same logic for why someone like adachi wouldn’t have a velvet room: while souji/yu, namatame, and adachi were all given the power to go into the tv world by izanami, only souji/yu was selected by philemon to save the world from ruin, and was accordingly given the resources and aid to do so.

secondary bonus: the psychotic ability/call of chaos just removes a person’s bonds in their heart, which makes them behave as if they were crazy. it’s the exact opposite of joker’s ability to create bonds. yaldabaoth’s one gift to his chosen chess piece was to essentially undo the very social links that make akira strong. so again, i’d be shocked if akechi experiences things like ranking up, or any sort of velvet room/persona fusing mechanic.

personally i think the loki/robin hood divide just happened because he awoke to a persona twice. awakening to your persona just happens at moments of rebellion and strong resolve, and canonically even other persona-users “awaken” (sorta) twice when you max their social link. i’m betting that he just had two moments of resolve: one in which he wanted to be a hero of justice, and one in which he decided he was going to tear shido to the ground no matter how far into villainy he had to go.

but as always, it’s not like there’s a hard consensus on the matter. 

4. How did he kill the shadows of people who don’t have a palace? Does *everyone* have a shadow in mementos?

SHORT ANSWER: he probably kills them in mementos, and also i think we’re expected to believe that literally everyone has a shadow in mementos.

SLIGHTLY LONGER ANSWER: i’m almost certain that the mementos depths section of the game confirms that basically everyone’s shadows are in there somewhere, even if they’re just your average joe with no significant distortions. the palace ruler for that section is “the public,” and also we do see the shadows of palace rulers who’ve had their hearts changed in the mementos depths. so even if you’ve had your heart changed and are supposedly a perfectly good human being now, this evidently doesnt disqualify you for having a shadow in mementos.

VERY LONG ANSWER: morgana says that mementos is the collective distortion of everyone in the area, but not a lot more concretely than that. morgana also says that reality is fairly plastic and that reality is somewhat determined by how we perceive the world, so i think that we’re expected to believe that everyone has, to some degree, some level of distortion.

i could say that jungian theory, which is the theory that the persona series is based off of, says that everyone without exception has a shadow. but this seems a little bit of a doylist explanation. instead i’ll point to persona 3, in which people without shadows literally become comatose and apathetic husks of themselves. this is because having a shadow is actually a fairly important part of a person’s psyche, and not having one doesnt make you a good and perfect person, it makes you a nonfunctional vegetable incapable of cognitive thought.

so yeah, i’m pretty sure EVERYONE is in mementos. with the exception of the phantom thieves, because… i think we’re expected to believe that their personas are in some ways their shadows? but also their personas are like, real-life kinning mythological/fictional characters so hard that you bind them to your soul? frankly i’ve been confused about how shadows work ever since persona 5 had people’s eyes turn yellow when they go through their awakenings, since perosna 4 used to use that as a sign that the person was a shadow, so… maybe i have no idea what the fuck im talking about. LMFAO.

ok so.... i don't know what lupin iii is and at this point i'm scared to ask. but i'm curious so. what is it and should i ... watch it? play it?? bc u seem to like it and i'm honestly lost

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH damn, alright, it’s an anime! well, actually it was a manga first, but with the anime they pretty much just picked the characters and went their own way and went on way longer than the manga did so, yeah, it’s an anime! a very, very long anime, and a whole bunch of movies!

as far as plot goes, there isn’t much of it. It’s a mostly episodic story about a thief called Lupin III and his....friends? associates? random assassins and thieves that somehow got stuck to him no one knows how or why? They like to pretend they don’t even know Lupin, but they’re pretty much family anyway - and each story starts with them trying to steal something and then ends with them mixed up in a whole bigger mess than they signed up for. And that’s about it. 

There’s five parts of it out + one spin off centered on one of his friends as far as the anime goes, but the number of episodes varies a lot between one and the next - it goes from 13 episodes to 155, and that’s without counting all the ova and movies, so it is an investiment to make if you do wanna check it out. BUT the good news is that since it’s episodic and it never really does explain anything anywhere as for how they all actually got together and started doing what they do, you don’t really need to watch them all or watch them in order if you want to get into it! Personally, I watched organically only part 4 and 5, a bunch of movies I was interested into because of either the plot or the aesthetics, I’m right now planning on watching the spin off, and I’ve watched a whole bunch of episodes from the earlier seasons through my whole life since Italy is pretty dang in love with the series and they air it regularly

If you wanted to get into it I’d suggest starting from part five, at this point! It’s a series they made specifically for the 50th anniversary and it's structured in longer arcs instead of just single episodes, so it’s a bit plot-heavier, and between one arc and the next there’s a one episode break that’s set in the middle of one of the older series, so you can get a taste of what the older series are like through those too. It’s a good way to get into the franchise, imho! (though my fav series is part four.........but I’m biased cause it’s set in Italy and it was delightful to watch because of that, for me haha) OR you could start from the movie The Castle Of Cagliostro, which is a Miyazaki one and the most mainstream one out of the bunch. That’s a good way to try it out too

Whether you should watch it is a whole other question, though! I love it. Genuinely. Incredibly. Completely. It makes me happy, and it’s something I enjoy that manages to go from ridiculous to gritty and overdramatic depending on who’s writing the move/series that I can always count on for a bit of easy fun when I need it (which is why I’m in no rush to finish it, I like having it there for when I need some Lupin to make my life better), but my tastes are honestly a mess. I like a lot of stuff that when I suggest people tell me they didn’t like, and I don’t like a lot of things people really truly enjoy, so! It depends! I can’t give you my word on how good it is on an objective level, since some parts of it really aren’t haha but I can tell you that I love it, and that you could always try to see if you might just like it too!!

I only learned about this shameful affair a few months after the release of Fake Worlds End in late 2023. In this post, I will describe what happened and my subjective opinion of lunariamv as an active domestic Charon fan on the Internet.

First let's understand who lunariamv is. lunariamv is an online game maker (active on Tumblr and tiktok) who has been reviled by charon fans overseas for pirated charon games. lunariamv started out as a painter, but one day he started to imitate charon's games. At first, it was just the imitation of the painting style, and then gradually began to copy the original. lunariamv's Doom Stones is a direct copy of charon's Makoto Mobius. Not long ago, lunariamv copied Mikoto Nikki again.

Now let's talk about my personal feelings

My favorite charon character is Mikio from Makoto Mobius. I've only been active on Twitter for six months now. The first time I saw the Doom Stones CG I naively thought it was some unfinished work by charon. And then I was misled, like an idiot, and I posted it on Twitter. Later, under the explanation of the Internet fans, I found that what I saw was something contrary to heaven. (I ended up deleting that tweet because it was disgusting to think of copycat stuff as a family thing) and lunariamv drew Mikio as a man...

lunariamv, don't you get it? The decision to change the original in order to make it look less identical is disgusting...)

Let me make my position clear: I do not oppose those who learn from charon's painting style, and the later development of painting style depends on the reference in the early stage. But isn't it a little cheeky to copy the plot? lunariamv claims to be a charon fan, but she would rather draw a fan map of her own game than a fan map of charon's own character. In addition, lunariamv's early works were found to have been copied by overseas charon fans.

I argued with him in the comments section of YouTube and was met with sophistry:

Even if you have no business purpose, no intention of making a profit, but you have done such a reckless thing, especially against the Charon group, lunariamv, I just want to ask you, is your conscience being eaten by a dog? You don't talk back to other fans, you don't talk back to me, you use the law as a shield when I'm judging, do you really think the world revolves around you?

So I went to tumblr to argue with this asshole. Continue to expose this guy's evil deeds under this guy's blog, and then he responded to me like this:

Who gave you the courage to be a thief and scold me for exposing your ugly face? First: No one listens to your guile, your guile is against ethics. Second, other fans are helping me. I only look at the facts. Third: I am 18 years old. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and had symptoms of delusional disorder. But I'm not retarded. I think lunariamv's comments have violated my right to personal dignity, mocking me as childish, retarded, and incapable of respecting others. No, have you ever respected other fans who come to you to talk to you alone? (There are private messages from overseas fans about how this guy's stolen work compares to the original, but this guy doesn't reply) Do you respect Charon? You're talking about respect here?

Not only was I scolded, but lunariamv wrote a short essay in order to "repay" my exposure:

In my private letter to you, I just repeatedly emphasized my three demands. Did I verbally attack you? Isn't it true that you plagiarized? (" I'll Take Criticism with a grain of Salt, "and then you posted this quibbling essay.)

"You want the same thing as Charon, Please don't expect it," Then you don't fucking get involved with Charon, you can't be original? Your work is too misleading, and some Charon fans who don't know the truth have begun to defend you, really fucking "Congratulations, congratulations" ah)(you have violated the bottom line of Charon and Charon fans again and again, my evaluation is either apologize or delete the number roll, pretend what big tail Wolf)

This guy played Fake Worlds End and still insists he didn't plagiarize, knowing Charon went through a plagiarism scandal and still plagiarized, so it's a little cheeky to defend herself, right?

By the way, this guy is already copying mix ore.

Finally, I gave it to lunariamv with one of our famous Chinese poems. Anyway, that guy doesn't understand the broad and profound Chinese culture.

I'm guilty, very guilty, but maybe if u don't kill me can make a RaeX story? He founds her with out his coustume and they talk. And then he saw her again with his mask, but beffore she calls the others mentions something of their last talk. He trusts her his identity...

Raven’s head pounded. She rolled over with a groan, clutching her hand to her forehead. What happened? 

Vague memories of a battle coursed through her mind, and she frowned. Must’ve gotten hit, she thought glumly. She struggled to sit up, when a firm hand gripped her shoulder. 

“Whoa, whoa, there, Birdie.” 

Raven froze. That wasn’t Cyborg’s voice. She cautiously glanced up, sucking in a sharp breath in shock. 

Her gaze was met with a bare torso, revealing a set of chiseled abs and an overall well toned body. Black, skin tight pants rode low on the guy’s hips, and upon looking up at his face, a very familiar skull-faced mask was pushed up just enough to show a strong jaw with a hint of five ‘o clock shadow. 

“Why don’t we lay back down?” he said. Raven obliged, her mind still processing this new information. She was with Red-X. How this had happened was beyond her, and she didn’t really know what to think. 

“You took a pretty nasty hit there, Birdie,” Red-X murmured. “Do you remember?” 

Raven shook her head, still trying to find her voice. The movement made her a bit dizzy, and she groaned. 

“Take it easy, now.”

She shot him a glare. “Why am I here?”

Red-X scoffed. “I save your life, and this is how you repay me? Gosh, Birdie, you really know how to break a man’s heart!” He clutched his bare chest dramatically, making her roll her eyes. 

“It’s Raven,” she snapped. 

“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered, waving his hand. “How’s your head?” 

Raven glowered at him. “Stop changing the subject.” 

Red-X sighed, reaching out and gently cupping her chin in his hand. “I’m not,” he said softly, leaning close as he examined her forehead. The intimacy of his actions startled her, and she felt her face grow hot. 

“Y-yes you are,” she stammered. She grabbed his wrist and pulled his hand away, narrowing her eyes. “Tell me why you brought me here?” 

Red-X sighed, and Raven was certain he was rolling his eyes beneath his mask. “Fine, Birdie. If you must know, you ran head first into that robber-group guy’s bat. You went down like a plank of wood. Then their arson buddy decided it was a perfect time to set the place ablaze, and your buddies lost you in the chaos.” He paused, flashing her a smirk. “Luckily for you, I was there to save the day.” 

Raven arched a brow. “You couldn’t just drop me off at the tower?” 

At this, Red-X laughed. “Yeah, right. Like I’m gonna get arrested for savin’ your skin. That’s not gonna happen. Sorry toots, you’re just gonna’ be stuck with me for awhile.” 

She rolled her eyes, heaving a sigh. Wonderful. This was exactly how she wanted to spend her morning. Or was it night? Raven blinked, scanning her surroundings for a clue. 

The room they were in was dark. The only window was small, with a thick, ratty curtain strung up over it. The only furniture in the room was the small, rickety cot she was currently laying in. The walls were void of decor, with only the chipping white paint as its cover. 

If Raven had to guess, she’d assume they were holed up in an abandoned building somewhere. Probably downtown. She wondered absently if this was his actual base, or just a temporary stop made especially for her. 

Her thoughts were interrupted by a damp rag being pressed to her forehead. Raven froze, blinking in surprise. Her gaze flicked up to Red-X, whose lips were pursed in concentration as he tended her injury. 

“I don’t think you need stitches, but I guess you can leave that decision up to Robo-boy,” he said absently. 

“His name is Cyborg,” Raven muttered, her face warm. It was strange; seeing a bad guy like him tending to her so gently. It was almost laughable, really. Still, Raven couldn’t help but feel…touched by his apparent kindness. 

Sure, he’d basically kidnapped her, but from the emotions he was giving off, he seemed to care about her well-being. Which was both strange and surprisingly sweet. 

“Sure it is,” Red-X said. He pulled back, admiring his work. “Good enough for now,” he muttered with a shrug. The thief rose from the cot, stalking over to the side and rummaging through a duffel bag on the floor. 

“Is this where you live?” Raven asked. Her question made him pause, and he shot her an inquisitive glance over his shoulder. 

“You really think I’m gonna answer that?” Amusement colored his voice, and Raven let out a huff. This only seemed to enlighten him more, and he chuckled softly. “The answer is no, m’dear,” Red-X said. 

Of course, there was a chance he was lying, but as Raven considered his pleasant emotions, she figured the chances were a bit slim. “Oh,” she said. She watched as he pulled a worn t-shirt from the bag and stepped back to the cot. 

“Yeah, I’ve got a nice penthouse downtown.” He slid the shirt over his head, a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. 

“Sure you do,” Raven muttered with a roll of her eyes. 

“Oh, don’t believe me? Gosh, you hurt me, Birdie.” 

“It’s Raven,” she said, “and no, I don’t. You’re a villain, remember?” 

“I’m not that bad,” he said. Raven merely gave him a flat look. 

“Aw, come on, Birdie. I saved your life! That counts for something, right?” 

Raven rolled her eyes again. “I think you’re exaggerating a bit,” she said. Of course, she had no real way of knowing, but Raven felt like her team would have saved her before things had gotten too bad. Still, Red-X did rescue her, so maybe he was right. 

A little bit, anyway. 

“Psh, nah. I totally saved your life.” 

Raven sighed. “That doesn’t mean I trust you.” 

At this, Red-X frowned. “Hmm. I suppose you’re right.” He paused for a moment, staring off into space. “Well, if it counts for anything, I trust you.” 

She furrowed her brows. He trusted her? How? He didn’t even know her! 

Red-X laughed, seeming to sense her bafflement. “Oh, Birdie, come on. I may be a bit of an annoyance, but you don’t see me as a threat. Seriously, have you ever seen me do anything but steal?” 

Raven blinked. No, she supposed she hadn’t. Actually, the Titans weren’t sure why he stole, for they could never track down the things he nabbed on any of the known black markets. And Robin knew quite a few. 

“See? I trust you, ‘cuz you don’t see me as that bad of a person. You won’t turn me in! At least, not right now.” There was a smirk on his lips, and as much as Raven hated to admit it, he was right.

She wasn’t going to turn him in. Not now. 

Though, if she caught him stealing anything, turning him in would be almost instinctive. 

“Here, I’ll prove it to ya’.” 

To Raven’s utter surprise, the thief tore off his mask, exposing his face. 

He was…handsome. Raven was captivated by his eyes; they were a bright blue, sparkling with mischief and sincerity. Dark, unruly hair stuck out in all directions, a direct result of wearing a full headed mask. There was a bolt of pale hair nestled with his bangs, falling a bit in his face. 

“Like what you see?” 

Raven shook herself, tearing her gaze away. This earned her a bark of laughter, and Red-X leaned close. “Don’t be shy, Birdie, I know I’m handsome.” He winked at her, before pushing off the cot. “Well, while I’m sure you’d love spending more time with me, I’ve got places to be.” 

She rolled her eyes. “Oh no. What shall I do on my own?” 

Red-X shot her a glare. “Ouch, Birdie.” He swiped his duffel bag from the ground, slinging it over his shoulder. “Here.” He tossed Raven her communicator. “Try not to move around too much. I’d hate for you to hurt yourself more.” 

And with that, Red-X vanished out the door. Raven waited awhile before turning on the communicator and calling Robin, those blue eyes forever burned into the back of her mind.

Whew. I know this isn’t exactly what you asked for, anon, but I needed some development between these two first. XD
