ohhhhh i love him, i love him so much. the way he has treated Kouhei like a normal person from the moment he met him, the way he has stood up for him, the way he's constantly trying to do things to make Kouhei's life better, the way he encourages Kouhei to advocate for himself, the way he's thinking of him and being considerate without simpering, the way he's constantly willing to learn and pivot when Kouhei gives him new information.

like there's no hesitation here- he thought yelling Kouhei's name multiple times, even stretching it out to its full four syllables (Ko-u-he-i) would be enough to catch his attention, but when Kouhei tells him he doesn't hear sounds behind him, Taichi doesn't dwell on it or make excuses or unnecessary justifications for his mistake, he doesn't downplay it or Kouhei's reaction, he just accepts what Kouhei tells him, adjusts, and corrects his plan for next time he needs to get Kouhei's attention.

i'm loving this show so much already and these two darlings and the way it's handling this story and it's just so good. so good.

So Blood pressure (BP) is 2 numbers because it's measuring two different pressures. The top number is systolic and it's the pressure in your ateries when your heart is actively beating. The diastolic number is the bottom one and it's the pressure when your heart is at rest. Typically if they're doing it manually (with a stethoscope in their ears vs an automatic machine) they pump it till they hear the first sound (systolic #) and release until the hear the last sound (diastolic #).

Used to be the standard BP was 120/80. These days they consider that to be a little higher than they'd like too. As in, that's more pressure in your ateries than they'd like but not a number to be alarmed by and typically they dont treat at this level. So typically if they don't act concerned and it's above that number they have probably decided it's due to "white coat syndrome" aka being nervous at a doctors office. Especially if you don't have any other conditions related to your heart.

You can buy a home machine that goes on the wrist for around $20 I think (if you buy a wrist one rest your wrist against your chest at heart level when taking it). Ideally you should be "at rest" for at least 5min before taking the assessment. So like when you go to the doctor and they have you sit and then immediately take your BP it's going to be higher because you weren't at rest

Anyway, you can buy one and take daily readings to keep track of it and bring to your doc like hey its been this high for this long I think I need some medication.

If your systolic goes above 180 OR diastolic above 120 you need to go to the hospital.

Ambrosius (and Cinder?) in the Ever After

If it’s only Ambrosius, I believe this could potentially take place after the RWBY series finale, when the gods are finally confronted on their unfair bullshit & things get sorted out properly without wiping our Remnant again.

No need for relics if the conflict is over so they either get destroyed & the spirits are freed or they get set free from their chains to the relics, allowing Ambrosius to create whatever he wants, whenever he wants, how he wants, & by his own design.

In the very least, we know Ambrosius has to be involved, unless it's a relic spirit we haven't met yet! Those are relic spirit style doors. All the spirits we've met so far have had that light blue color theme & energy.

I'm thinking back on these interactions & quotes from Volume 8 & it's so intriguing. I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this but, Ambrosius knew about the Ever After!

This all but confirms that Ambrosius not only knows of the Ever After, but has been there before! He probably thought team RWBYJ wouldn't survive down there. If Somewhat isn't talking about Ambrosius, I'm going to look so goofy. 🤡

Wait, what if all the relic spirits or at least Ambrosius were part of these secret creations? Are Jinn & Ambrosius technically afterans? Is Blacksmith tree god lady also their grandmother in this case? 👀

The only possible person I can think of besides Ambrosius is Cinder, unfortunately. She has the staff of creation & the lamp (though as far as we know all the questions are used up).

Though this gives me a few questions if Cinder found her way into the Ever After. How did she get the same or similar blueprints as RWBY & gang? Was it Watts before he died off screen in a spinoff movie?

Also, is she about to use the clock fruits to get more questions from Jinn? 👀 Though I'm not sure how she'd know that information.

Maybe Salem is coming with her & she's had plenty of life times to potentially learn stuff about the Ever After. Salem could also be the only one going for all we know. Salem could absolutely know about the time fruit. 👀

Poor Somewhat is so happy to see whoever it is, but it's probably Cinder or Salem behind Ambrosius.

So anyway this either is a blip because of time dilation or the Ever After is getting invaded. I'll look so silly when I'm wrong on both accounts. 😂 I just know Ambrosius is involved somehow.
