I finally found your tumblr and was so happy until I saw the posts about your pet and how bad you are feeling. I just wanted to let you know that your art truly brings light into my life and even if you stop drawing it has forever impacted me. I wanted to say thank you and I hope you will return one day.

Hello！ Well, I probably haven't been around for 3 months. I've had the chance to read all the messages now… And I realize i've caused a lot of you to worry, so even though i can't answer each of you individually at this point, i thought you at least had the right to know what was going on.

Ok, when I lost my cat about 3 months ago, I lost many things along with it. I don't know if you guys noticed, but i'm not as active as i used to be. In fact, I can't even remember the last time i drew narusasu …it feels like i've forgotten how to. Honestly I never imagined this day would come… I mean… I don't know how this sounds to you guys, but i won't be able to be active on this account anymore even if i wanted to. I've been trying to hide it, but i've been having arguments with my family about my fan arts for the past year or so. No, not in the way you might think. It's just… maybe many of you won't understand, but my country is going through serious financial struggles, and unfortunately i no longer have the time to create art for free like i used to.

For over ten years, I've been making a living by drawing at my desk, creating things online, whether good or bad. But at some point it stopped making me happy, yes, and that's when I started drawing fanart. Believe or not, the sense of warmth and belonging I felt here was something i had never experienced anywhere else. Yes ofcourse I love Naruto and Sasuke, but the warmth I felt and the feeling of knowing that i wasn't alone was what truly brought me here. Some of you made me laugh, some of you made me cry, and some of you even made me really angry at times. But throughout my life, I've met very few people whom i truly felt close to, and one of them was someone i met thanks to this community. That's why I want to sincerely thank you all！If I've been fighting all this time, it's because I don't want to leave you all. But after a certain point, trying to manage both of my accounts actively caused me to spend extra energy mentally and even physically. So, in the end, I burned out.

Recently, every time I drew sns, i ended up arguing with my family, and it just made me feel like this was the place i should give up. Unfortunately, people can change when it comes to money and that's why I had to take a break.

If you ask where I am now and what I'm doing, i'm still doing one of the things i love, i mean drawing, but active and working on my other account, which is completely different from this one. I'm not planning on closing my account here yet, still have unfinished commissions, and just want to leave the door ajar in case i still have a chance to come back in the future. But still, if you were to ask my honest opinion, I would say don't get your hopes up too much…

Sakura Haruno fic recs: amnesia/memory loss

My love for this trope started back with A Poor Imitation by leafygirl, which is unfortunately now deleted. I'm not sure what it is, but I just really enjoy the tragedy around the character's loss of memory. The pain and struggle that comes with them having to relearn their whole life.

Amnesiac!Sasuke is found years after his supposed death by Sakura. It's really interesting because Sasuke is actually taken in by a civilian family (I think they're farmers) from a far off town. However, he can't help but gravitate towards the shinobi way. I really enjoyed it!

A young, amnesiac!Sakura is found by the Senju brothers and later becomes one of the leading reasons for the founding of Konoha. Cherry Blossom Flames is actually one of my favourite fics! It's definitely not bamf!Sakura if that's what you like, but it's very well written and her sibling relationship with Tobirama and Hashirama is so sweet. Plus, her and Madara are quite wholesome. I will also note this this does cover a significant amount of time.

The Lost One is fairly popular, but for good reason! Itachi is the one here with amnesia and Sakura is a double agent. In Konoha, it's been Hokage!Danzo since the Pein attack and I'm sure you can imagine what that means for the village... Highly recommend!

Sakura's father drags home amnesiac!Obito to live with the Haruno's and although Sakura isn't initially happy about the situation, she warms up to him. Obito sort of trains Sakura a bit and becomes her new friend. Plus, now with her tearful discovery that Sasuke actually likes Naruto, she's determined to make sure they're together! Very fun.

Here he was, an ANBU operative with the ultra-rare Wood Release ability, being insulted through his bachelor pad's dingy bathroom by Sakura, a child who was distantly related to the person who gave him the ultra-rare Wood Release ability through years of unethical experimentation.

Kid Sakura is somehow related to Orochimaru and the Hokage assigns the job to keep an eye on her to Yamato. You guys, this fic is adorable! Another kid fic (I love), parental!Yamato, amnesiac!Sakura, pre-massacre, all of the kids are friends, and let's just give Iruka the honorary title of Naruto's dad.

Amnesiac!Kakashi makes for an awkward situation where Sakura has to pretend that they aren't in fact married. I believe Sakura is 28 in this I love that the cast includes lots of Kakashi's generation! Also, I'm fairly certain this is on ffn too.

Sakura wakes up in the hospital with little knowledge of her past. Will she recover her lost memories? Or will she just have to start a new life with old friends? If she can't remember, it may just put her and Naruto's lives in danger. NaruSaku.

After a mission gone wrong Sakura is unable to remember anything past the age of eight. Her mother is definitely a headache in Amnesia, but Sakura and Naruto are great and it's got a pretty good ending!

It started as a routine mission – Sakura's second ever solo mission, and an opportunity too great for her to pass up. But then everything went horribly wrong. ItaSaku AU; set immediately after the Gaara Retrieval arc in Part II of the manga.

I actually can't believe that I forgot to add Bluebird (well, I actually can but still lol). Sakura gets hurt on a mission and loses her memories in the process. After being found by Itachi and Kisame, she ends up tagging along with them, not knowing any better. Missing-nin!Sakura (sorta)

Also, this author has a bunch of great ItaSaku works if you're into that!

Picture this: you're kneeling down for some miscellaneous reason, probably working on something that requires kneeling. Let's say you're a mechanic or whatever, and Soap approaches to greet you. He stops in front of you, and you look up, smiling at the man you work with on occasion. You like him enough and you'd like to believe you're almost friends.

Neither of you thinks much of the positioning, making idle conversation, oblivious to how you're face to crotch with him.

But- but then your coworker comes out of nowhere, in a hurry for something, and bumps you in the process, yelling out an apology, but otherwise caught up in their own world. It all happens so fast that you don't really understand what's happened until it's too late.

One second you were smiling up at Soap, having a nice and lovely chat about the fucking day, and then the next, you get pushed forward, fall feeling like slow motion as the view of Soap's pants gets closer and closer until your face plants firmly against his crotch.

You're both too shocked to do anything for a solid three fucking seconds. Then-

Sputtering, you place your hands on Soap's hips and push yourself back. "I- I'm so sorry, Sergeant MacTavish!"

You haven't called him that since the first week you worked with him.

"I didn't mean to- to do that!"

"It's... it's okay, hen.. not your fault-"

You protest, shaking your head. It doesn't matter if it was your fault or not. You think you might die from- from-

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!"

Avoiding his eyes, you attempt to stand, using your grip on Soap's hips as leverage. He moves to help you, which would be appreciated literally any other time, but alas, you can't act normally after smothering your face between his legs, even if it was on accident. Your legs forget how to work, you keep stuttering out apologies, and in your scramble to straighten up, the only thing you accomplish is tripping backward and pulling Soap with you.

Together, you go crashing down onto the floor, you on your back, and Soap sprawled over you, his full weight pressing against your body and a knee between your legs. You can't say anything. Just a mortified stare meeting wide blue eyes.

"I'm so sorry," you whisper after a painful few moments of silence. Loud silence.

"Uh." Soap swallows thickly, uncharacteristically flustered as he shifts his hips awkwardly off of you. "It's- it's okay..."

And that's that.

Soap stiffly gets up, offering you a hand, almost yanking your arm out of its socket when you grab it, but he let's go as soon as you're settled. Soap bids you a good day, muttering about needing to take care of something while adjusting the crotch of his pants and leaves without waiting for a goodbye. Not that you mind.

There's a silent agreement to never mention what happened again.

Sure, it's a little awkward the next few times you see each other, and yeah, you're afraid your almost friendship is ruined, but after things settle, the easy chats return and you can pretend it never happened just like you pretend you didn't feel anything twitch when you faceplanted onto his crotch and how Soap pretends his dick didn't get half-hard when you did.

i know it's been 10 years since naruto ended in ch 700, and  7 years since naruto gaiden was released, but i still had heart broken about fact that sasuke and sakura married, husband and wife (as kishi write in gaiden)

Hello anon!

Well tbh I wouldn't take "canon" when it comes to ships too serious because Kishimoto didn't develop them or make them romantic or anything. What I'm trying to say is that usually when a ship becomes canon it leaves way for romantic moments, family moments and all that but that's not what Kishimoto did or allowed so there's no reason to feel down when you remember something like SS became canon because in their case it simply means they had a child and call each other wife/husband and that's it.

Just remember that Sasuke has never kissed Sakura, the only kiss he's ever received and treasures with his whole being to the point he's never allowed anyone else to kiss him, not even his wife, is from Naruto. This is canon.

Remember that Sasuke doesn't allow Sakura to touch him, Sakura doesn't have a wedding ring, we've never seen anything regarding their supposed wedding (did they even have one? even NH got a wedding) or any pictures of herself and Sasuke to the point she had to stick herself onto another picture, Sakura also continues not to know shit about Sasuke and it's Naruto who has to reassure Sarada and basically fulfill the role that usually belongs to the mom. This is all canon.

Sasuke doesn't care if Sakura lives or dies but gets scared shitless when Naruto is wounded and runs to his aid, her stans will try to tell you it's because "he knows how strong Sakura is" conviniently omitting that Naruto is the strongest ninja to ever live giving Sasuke even less reasons to worry about him and yet he does, but when it comes to his wife is crickets. This is also canon.

There's also the fact that Sasuke would rather spend his time training and basically raising Boruto, Naruto's child instead of spending it with Sarada, Sakura's child. It got to the point Sarada had to teach herself about the Uchiha clan from a book because Sasuke wouldn't give her the time of the day lol.

Sasuke goes zero contact with Sakura for years yet sends letters and has secret meetings often with Naruto. Why feel down or threatened by SS being "canon" when Kishimoto is still feeding *us* the narusasu shippers?

SS shippers have to resort to "they're married and they have a kid" because that's all they have, anytime they'd try to prove to anyone that those two are in love they *always* have to pull up filler because nothing in canon material supports the notion that Sasuke loves Sakura. They're so incredibly insecure that even though it's been over a decade since Naruto ended they still come to harrass us specifically because they know, deep down, it's our ship the one that's developed, it's our ship the one that Kishimoto spent 15 years writing about, it's our ship that the entire manga revolves around. That's why they have to resort to "you're shipping pseudo-incest" hoping this narrative will stick and yet they always end up crying and throwing up everytime official art comes out and it's unapologetically narusasu art (like the one of Naruto and Sasuke laying happily on the grass or the cards where Sasuke is imagining himself and Naruto having a playdate).

Endgame doesn't really mean shit if all you have is a miserable marriage and a neglected kid. You, anon, have the upper hand here, you know that Sasuke has feelings for Naruto and that love is reciprocated, SS and NH can't say the same that's why after a whole ass decade they're always frantically trying to convince everyone their mid ships are worth a damn.

NaruSasu is not a bad ship, the problem is that Naruto fandom decided to make it as if it was religion. If you support any other ship with Naruto and Sasuke you are immediatly attacked, and the most shocking thing is that some people truly believed that Naruto and Sasuke would be together in the end. So after being with Naruto... He gave the control to him... So, once in his life he just can sit and go completely blank without worries or thoughts. Just being kinda leaded.

But of course, it didn't happened just like that. At first times, Sasuke tried to be more dominant. But as Naruto always was able to turn the tables around, somehow, Sasuke got used to the comfort of being the taker... If you know what I mean~~~

As I said, at first he was, mostly, the taker... But he always turned the tables in the most perfect times, and bringed out Sasuke's submissive side outside. He loved when he was the taker... In a lot of fandoms I'm in, I've been seeing a growing hate towards gay (non-canon) ships, with the shippers themselves being harassed, and if you're part of the problem I need you to take a step back and think for a minute.

Most of these ships are not canon. The overwhelming majority of canon ships are straight. If you hate X or Y ship, you can block the tags. The idea of two men together is not cringe. Yes, even if they have no chemistry - cheap romance has always existed, and it always will (may I remind you of Twilight's popularity? Vampire Diaries? Most films out there?), why is gay (again, NON CANON) shipping where we draw the line?

"But there's more to the human connection than romance-" yet all the posts I see tend to be about gay romance in particular (see, "why can't they be friends not in a homophobic way but-", "people once again shipping two male characters", people outright saying gay shipping is weird or cringe because ???, etc).

At this point, most posts complaining about this "issue" are just repackaged homophobia with a leftist terminology. Sometimes, not even that ("why can't they just be friends-" they are friends in canon, and even if they weren't, male friendships are one of the most represented things out there. M/F friendships are the under represented ones). Some of you are outright disgusted by the idea of two men being romantic or, ""worse"", sexual with each other. Grow up.

Yes, even if if it's a straight woman doing it. Yes, even if the fanfic is filled with stereotypes. Believe ir or not, you cannot fight homophobic representations (in either published works or fandom) by... Forbidding it and making fun of people who want to see two characters from some gacha game kiss.

"Oh but it takes attention away from the women in the story" then... Start talking more about the women in the story? Follow and interact with people who post a lot about said women? Bring positivity/discussion about these female characters forward? You think shitting on gay ships will make these women be discussed more???? That's not how any of this works.

(Not to mention that many of the people who say these things don't post about these women either? You check their page and, at most, they ship these characters with a male one and mostly talk about said guy. Not everyone of course, some actually do put their money where their mouth is so to speak, but hypocrisy is rampant)

I understand many of you are young, many younger than 18, and probably don't understand what "the big deal with stating your opinion" is, but... I've said this before and I'll say it again: many of you are beginning to sound like homophobic straight men in the Naruto fandom back when NaruSasu/any Akatsuki ship (besides Konan/Pein of course) was popular. I agree with you, Hamliet. Overall, Naruto have a better story compared to BNHA. But, I'm glad that at least BNHA ended with no canon pairing (it's refresing compared to other big fandom shounen, like Naruto and Bleach).

I mean, as long time Naruto fan, I realized that there are big fandom for NaruSasu shippers. When I was younger, I did not understand why people ship NaruSasu, until now I became NaruSasu shipper myself. But even if there are a lot of Dj, cd drama, merch, etc made by NaruSasu Shippers, Naruto still ending with Naruto/Hinata and Sasuke/Sakura, right? What is the difference between NaruSasu shippers and BakuDeku shippers?

There isn't a difference between shippers! It's just that there's a difference with authors.

No, Naruto didn't fulfill everything it set out to do, but it still landed where the author had always planned it: Sasuke and Naruto hashing it out, the couples together.

Horikoshi did none of that. I've said before that he was a wishy-washy writer trying to please everyone, but in the end he kind of gave up. And that's sad, but also spineless writing that has resulted in people being genuinely hurt by the messages sent about abuse victims, ableism, etc.

I don't think Bakudeku was ever a canon option, much like Narusasu, but are the mangakas aware of it as they write it? Absolutely.

The thing about ships is that you should not introduce a canon dynamic into a story with a romantic element unless that romantic element matters for the story. This doesn't have to mean "will be canon" but that's the most common way to explore it. Izuocha had that.

Ochaco just... sat on her feelings for 8 years and barely contacted Deku? That makes absolutely no sense for a guy she supposedly loves. If he rejected her, why wasn't that onscreen? Why was this even a plot point if the story didn't do anything with it? What is the reason for seemingly just dropping it?

Most likely? The same reason the rest of the story fails to make any kind of significant statement about anything: he doesn't want to upset anybody so confirms nothing. No one wins. Unfortunately that means no one is happy.

It's not shippers' fault. It's not even the worst decision made in this manga ending by top 20. It's just more of the "all for naught" message that Horikoshi unintentionally sent.

i really don’t get the “sns only seems romantic because of misogyny” thing, because obviously misogyny can push a writer to focus more on their male characters’ relationships, but how exactly does that explains that a relationship between two of their male characters is written as romantic?? especially since kishimoto often parallels the way he wrote straight couples with the way he writes sns (either with minakushi or with mario).

this argument only works on a superficial level, but doesn’t make sense once you think about it for two seconds. i'm tired of people weaponizing anti-misoginy and “feminist” discourses just to be homophobic.

imo the “so misogynist it’s gay” is something you can apply to stuff like death note. l and light is not written as romantic in any way but it still makes the most sense as a ship because light hates misa (and l literally tortured her). so l and light with their rivalry and being on each other’s level looks better ofc

claiming narusasu is only romantic because of misogyny just downplays the entire care and development that goes into their relationship that has romantic tropes and like you said parallels even canon romantic couples in the text itself. again, naruto’s female characters suffer kishimoto’s misogyny that’s also a fact. but media can be misogynist and gay snd these are not related to each other despite working in parallel lines. many of such cases out there i fear

before i get to my main point i need to do this first.

when naruto and sasuke were fighting in the last chapters i could see some things about that moment, especially in sasuke. starting with this.

and then we have in the next panel where says those words: "i know your heart and you mine". they're already fighting, and as sasuke keeps trying to provoke naruto into a serious fight, naruto refuses and then sasuke says those words after that.

sasuke tries to do the same thing he tried when he left the village: sever his bond with naruto. but instead we get this words "especially because it's you..." sasuke clarified that he needed to cut that bond with naruto, he had his reasons.

we have this scene that we all know. sasuke trying to figure out what it means to naruto to be his friend and what was the reason why he did all the things he did for sasuke. naruto doesn't know how to respond to that question, but he confesses that it hurt him to see sasuke in the state he had reached.

and then in these 3 panels we saw sasuke confess his feelings, but only to himself. this is a very important scene because we saw the truth about sasuke, the reasons why he did all those things. he needed to sever his bond with naruto, because he had strong feelings for naruto that he considered a weakness. feelings that grew deeper over time.

and yes, we have sasuke admitting he lost, but this could mean he lost to himself, in the way he tried to sever his bond with naruto, suppress his feelings, try to be alone, all those thoughts.

for me, this is both a realization and a confession that sasuke made to himself. that's what i wanted to get at.

I just rewatched vote2 and OMGGGG idk if I'm mad at kishi for not getting them together (cuz I know they probably wouldn't be) or just mad that he ended it there and didn't explore narusasu's relationship after all that, but I have so many emotions 😭 I'm just mad that nh and ss got together 🙄 (I wouldn't call them canon, cuz sns love for each other is canon, nh and ss is forced)

Also I love Sasuke so much in this fight that I'm also mad we didn't get to see more of him like this (openly showing his emotions, laughing, crying, being happy for once, accepting Naruto)

But anyway, do you know which fic is best to read after watching the ending? I already know lots of canon fics but idk which one is the best to read. I wanna fil the hole in my heart 😩

I still really liked it in the Anime, it’s just that I wish there were a few things they’d done differently as shown in the Manga. Like Sasuke screaming for sure, he's in so much pain and it's so important to show that, especially considering VotE1 where Naruto was screaming. Now it's a reverse and for good reason.

And nah, there’s no way they’d actually get together in the sense that a romantic relationship becomes surface level text and it’s spelled out for the reader.

You know, I was thinking about this and ‘Naruto’ is a story where Kishimoto used every literary device in his creators’ arsenal in order to show the story. Even in dialogue and text, he still pays attention to how something is said and the timing of it. That’s why, in order to understand a message or to pick up on sub-text, context is so important. That's what makes something 'true'. Characters don’t always say what they mean… in fact, the best characters don’t imo. There’s so much heart in the story and you can see it in the slightest expressions, in body language and Kishimoto definitely has a way of showing what he considers important and what isn’t. 

Brt on the other hand… well, it’s just told. It’s called authorial assertion or fiat in literature. They don’t show us why or how something happened, there’s no justification, evidence for any declarations and don’t even question it, because ‘it is just so because we said so’ and they don’t even know either.

it's been toooooo long hru guys ? i just started some more classes recently after spring break, so i've been a bit busy, but i figured i would make a little blog post, mostly because i just want to rant but also because i actually want to post about something other than narusasu lolll

ok, so let's see what can i talk about…oh yeah, i finally watched moriarty the patriot ! it was a little while ago, but i just realized i never talked about it. i had been putting off watching it for sooooo long, but it was actually really good, though i will say it was a little different from what i had expected, but it was enjoyable, and i liked the characters

sherliam, or wtv the hell it’s called, is SO canon !!!! the fall ? it was beautiful. i also heard they’re going very strong and are very happy in the manga, which is very good to hear because they’re so cute together, and i'm low-key tempted to read it now

what else...? oh, i also JUST finished ted lasso, and omggggg, it was so good, which was unexpected. i only watched it because my brother forced my sister and me to sit and watch it with him, so i didn't have a lot of hope, but i actually got into it ?? and it turned out to be REALLY good. i LOVED all the characters (except nate, FAWK nate), but they were all really likable, and the character development, especially for jamie, was so good to see, and like the relationship between all the characters ? i LOVED

OMG, and jamie and roy?? i clocked them from the start, but it’s awesome to see that i wasn’t the only one and that even the actors (roy’s actor also being a writer on the show) also ship them

i do really think they both love keeley tho, so i think they’d be/SHOULD be a throuple, which again the actors support as well. like, actually the best throuple ever, ngl ? anyway, overall i really liked it, and i lowkey maybe sorta went down a rabbit hole of roy, jamie, and keeley content…

i actually have like 6 more narusasu moodboards in my drafts, but i don’t want to post them all back to back because 1. then i’ll have nothing to post like last time and 2. i want this account to be where i post about ANYTHING and not just one specific thing, so as much as i LOVE narusasu, i want to post about other things as well

unfortunately, when i get TOO into something or even see that it does well on social media, i tend to want to stick to only posting about that, but i'm trying not to !! i'm even opening my tiktok to edits of others and not just skz, which is a big step !
