this is for my black mutuals/followers.
HAIR HELP, PLEASE <3
i'm gonna open up a bit here.... i'm mixed (my dad is black, mother is white) and i did not grow up around my father or his family, only my mom and hers.(not bio mom though) -- my mom (who raised me, that's my mama!) did her best to make sure to learn how to do my hair through black family friends when i was younger who she'd pay to not only do my hair but teach her and show her how to care for my hair.
despite that, growing up, where i lived did not have all the resources i need to be able to really do my hair in a way that's beneficial for my hair type and thus my knowledge of how to do my OWN hair is kind of... minimal. i'm a bit ashamed to say that. i really want to do more protective styles on my natural hair because i don't want to cut it and want to grow it out. but i still want and need styles that would suit its type and things i can use/do to it and whatnot (if this makes sense. i apologize, i am so bad at explaining myself!)
even now, there's only about 2-3 places that are black-owned that i can go to in my town.... and they only popped up in the past couple of years?? so yes. i do now have the ability to go into town to a supply store at the least to help <3!
i'll put a picture of my hair in its natural state for reference. this took a lot for me to post and it's very personal, but i really need the help and i'm already in my 30s without knowing how to for real PROPERLY care for my hair beyond basics. that's already embarrassing :(
Tumblr media
this is what my hair looks like down and in just tiny ponytails. nothing else! ^^ i don't currently have any pictures of when it's wet , i think, though. ALSO i'd really like help on how to style my edges effectively ;n; i've been trying for ages and here they look good in my opinion! but i want better ways to do them <33 thank you guys SOOOO MUCH!!

Hi, hope you’re well! Saw your request for angst ideas. If you’re interested: Reader has been part of the Inner Circle for years, like an og member. Post war she watches Az fall in love with Elaine or Gwyn. She’s known they’re mates, but he’s always told her he loves her as a friend, and nobody else knows they’re mates. She watches as his relationship grows, maybe they’re having a kid or whatever, this can be all the angst you see fit. She’s finally had enough and decides to leave (either for work as an emissary or for herself). Maybe as she starts to rebuild, Az and the IC realize how much her loss impacts them. But when they go see her, she’s thriving. Ending can be whatever floats your boat, maybe she’s with Eris or thriving in Day as Lucien’s advisor, or something else all together.
To Love and Let Go
Pairing: Azriel x Reader
Summary: An unrequited love, and a one sided mating bond. What will reader do when she can no longer watch Azriel fall for another female who isn’t her?
Wc: 2.9k (gah dayum)
A/N: ok, this is the longggest fic I've written to date, but I don't hate it...and I may be persuaded to write a part two with multiple endings bcs I'm indecisive asf. Requests are still open and highly encouraged since I'm on break and have a bunch of free time, clearly.
__
The stars are mocking tonight, their gleam far too bright for the storm brewing inside you. Velaris has always been beautiful, but tonight the city feels suffocating. The laughter of your family echoes around the River House’s dining room, filling the space with warmth and joy.
You sit at the edge of the long table, wine in hand, your smile carefully in place. Cassian is in the middle of one of his stories, something about Azriel and a drunken spar decades ago. The table erupts in laughter, and you can’t help but glance at him.
Azriel sits across from you, his shoulders relaxed, his shadows soft and relaxed as they curl lazily around him. He’s laughing—quiet and rare, but enough to tug at your chest in a way you’ve never been able to stop.
Beside him, Gwyn is radiant. She laughs, bright and genuine, her hand resting on his arm as though it’s the most natural thing in the world. His hand shifts, fingers brushing over hers in a way that’s intimate, tender. Simple. Devastating.
You lift your wine to your lips and down the rest of the glass in one burning gulp.
You’ve known for years that Azriel isn’t yours to have. When the Cauldron whispered of your bond, it hadn’t been the joyous revelation you’d dreamed of. Instead, it had been a curse.
You feel it even now—that golden thread tying your soul to his, pulling taut every time you see him. But Azriel never acknowledged it, not once. How could he when he didn't even know it existed?
“You’re my best friend,” he’d told you long ago, sitting beside you on a rooftop in Velaris, the two of you cloaked in silence and shadows. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
And you’d smiled. Smiled and tucked the truth deeper inside yourself, burying it so far down you almost convinced yourself it wasn’t real. Almost.
The conversation shifts around you, but the words blur together, distant and unimportant. You force yourself to stay, to laugh when you’re supposed to, to nod in all the right places.
Across the table, Gwyn leans closer to Azriel, whispering something in his ear. He smiles at her, that soft, secret smile you’ve seen so many times over the years. But it’s never been for you.
The ache in your chest spreads, sharp and relentless, until you can’t bear it any longer. You push your chair back, the legs scraping loudly against the floor.
“Everything okay?” Mor asks, her brows furrowing as she studies you.
You nod quickly, forcing a tight smile. “Just need some air.”
No one questions you, and you’re grateful for it. You slip out of the room and onto the balcony, the cool night air rushing to meet you. The stars stretch endlessly above, and for a moment, you close your eyes and pretend this life isn’t yours.
But the bond hums faintly in the back of your mind, tethering you to someone who will never feel the same way.
You grip the balcony railing, the cool metal grounding you as you draw in a shaky breath. The quiet should feel peaceful, but it doesn’t. Not with the sound of their laughter spilling through the open door behind you, not with the bond thrumming painfully in the back of your mind.
You’ve endured this for years. Watching Azriel laugh, fight, live, all while pretending your heart doesn’t shatter every time he smiles at someone who isn’t you. Gwyn. Elain before her, and Mor long before that. All the women who could never feel what you feel for him—but were lucky enough to have his attention anyway.
And then there’s you, his best friend. The one he trusts, confides in, leans on. Just never in the way you ache for. Even before the bond snapped, you’d been in love with the Shadowsinger. He was always the calm amongst the chaos of your family, the one you could seek refuge in.
The sound of footsteps interrupts your thoughts. You don’t need to look to know it’s him. His shadows reach you first, curling gently around your wrist, hesitant and curious. They always do that, as if they sense the things he doesn’t.
“Are you okay?” Azriel’s voice is soft, warm in a way that makes it harder to breathe.
You release the railing and turn to face him, your mask firmly in place. “I’m fine. Just needed a moment.”
His brows pull together, his hazel eyes studying you in that unrelenting way of his. “You’ve seemed… distracted tonight.”
You force a laugh, shaking your head. “I’m not distracted. Just tired, that’s all.” The lie was easy on your tongue, a lie you’ve repeated more times than you can count.
His shadows shift, curling tighter around you. “You can tell me if something’s wrong,” he says, his voice low, careful.
You want to laugh again. Wrong? Everything is wrong. Your mate is standing in front of you, looking at you with concern while his love sits inside, waiting for him. He doesn’t even feel the bond that’s been tearing you apart for years. How could you possibly tell him the truth?
“I’m fine, Az,” you say again, stepping back, putting distance between you. “Go back inside. Gwyn’s probably wondering where you are.”
Something flickers across his face, but it’s gone before you can place it. He hesitates, his shadows brushing against your hand one last time before retreating.
“All right,” he says quietly. But he doesn’t look convinced.
You watch him go, his wings casting long shadows across the balcony as he disappears into the house. The bond hums faintly, pulling at your heart even as you stand there alone.
A part of you wants to blame yourself for never telling him about the mating bond. It was known Azriel always longed for a mate, so much so he had made the bold claim of Elain being his mate once upon a time. Now, he's with Gwyn under that same notion. Unfortunately, your heart had wanted him to love you without the influence of the bond.
Your thoughts persist as you force your eyes shut, trying and failing to fall asleep.
Instead, you lie awake in your bed, staring at the ceiling as the weight of it all presses down on you. You’ve built your entire life around the Inner Circle, around him. And for what? To watch him build a life with someone else? To keep breaking your own heart over and over again?
No.
When dawn comes, the decision is already made.
“Are you sure about this?” Feyre asks, her hand resting lightly on your arm.
You stand in the foyer of the River House, your bags already packed and waiting by the door. The soft morning light filters through the windows, casting golden hues over everything. It should feel warm. Comforting. But all you feel is the ache of goodbye.
“I’m sure,” you say, and your voice doesn’t waver.
Rhysand stands a few paces away, arms crossed, his violet eyes sharp and assessing. You were like a sister to him, someone he’d protected and seen through every phase of life. “You don’t have to do this,” he says gently. “We can figure something out. If you need time off, time for yourself—”
“I need more than time, Rhys,” you interrupt, forcing a small smile to soften the blow. “I need space. A fresh start. This is the right move for me.”
You’d rehearsed this conversation a dozen times, carefully framing your departure as a professional opportunity. An emissary position in Day Court. Helion had been eager to accept your offer, praising your skills and promising a new challenge that you could sink your teeth into.
It wasn’t a lie. You would thrive in Day Court. But it wasn’t the whole truth either.
Feyre’s grip on your arm tightens, her lips pressing together as if she’s holding back an argument. “I just… I don’t want you to feel like you’re running away,” she says softly.
You glance past her, your eyes catching on the open archway leading to the dining room. You can feel him in there, his shadows faint even from this distance. The bond pulls, a sharp tug against your ribs.
“I’m not running away,” you tell her, even though part of you wonders if that’s exactly what this is. “I’m choosing myself for once.”
Rhys nods slowly, his expression unreadable. “If that’s what you need, then we support you. Always.”
A lump rises in your throat, but you swallow it down, turning to hug Feyre. “Thank you. For everything.”
Azriel watches from the shadows of the dining room as you leave. He doesn’t mean to linger there, doesn’t mean to eavesdrop—but he can’t help it.
He hears Feyre’s quiet goodbye, Rhys’s reassurances. He sees the way your shoulders straighten as you step out the door, as if you’re carrying a weight none of them can understand.
Something twists in his chest, sharp and unfamiliar.
He doesn’t understand it. You’ve left Velaris before, gone on missions and trips for weeks at a time. But this feels… different. Permanent.
For a moment, he almost steps forward, almost calls out to you. But then the door closes, and you’re gone.
The Day Court is a world apart from Velaris.
Here, the sun always seems to shine, casting a golden glow over Helion’s sprawling palace. It’s vibrant, full of life, and for the first time in years, you feel as though you can finally breathe.
Helion welcomes you with open arms, praising your work and throwing you headfirst into new projects. The days are busy, your nights peaceful, and slowly—very slowly—the ache in your chest begins to fade.
You make new allies and friends. Lucien, especially, becomes an unexpected source of comfort. He understands unspoken bonds, the pain of being tied to someone who doesn’t want you. For the first few weeks, most, if not all your time was spent by his side.
“You’re free now,” he tells you one evening, the two of you sitting on a balcony overlooking the Day Court gardens. His amber eyes glint in the fading sunlight. “It doesn’t feel like it yet, but it will. One day.”
You smile, a real smile, and let the words settle in your chest.
Back in Velaris, the Inner Circle feels the void you’ve left behind. Cassian complains loudly during training sessions about how things don’t run as smoothly without you. Mor keeps suggesting trips to Day Court, half-joking but half-serious. Even Feyre finds herself reaching for you during meetings, only to realize you’re no longer there.
And Azriel…
Azriel notices most of all.
He misses the quiet way you steadied him, the way you always seemed to know what he needed before he did. The balance you brought to the group. To him.
At first, he tells himself it’s just an adjustment. You’ll be back eventually. But as the weeks stretch into months, he begins to realize just how deeply your absence has cut into his life.
The shadow of the bond hums faintly in the back of his mind, but he doesn’t understand why.
Not yet.
It’s Feyre who suggests the trip.
“You’ve been working too hard,” she tells Azriel, shooting him with a look that leaves no room for argument. “We all have. A visit to Day Court will do us some good. Besides, it’s been too long since we’ve seen her.”
Azriel hesitates but eventually agrees. He tells himself it’s curiosity, that he just wants to see how you’re settling in. Since you’ve left his relationship with everyone, Gywn especially, has grown distant. He tries to find you in her, comparing the small things that shouldn’t matter—and every time it only makes his heart sink.
When they arrive, they find you in the Day Court gardens, laughing at something Lucien has said. The sunlight catches in your hair, your face glowing with a happiness Azriel hasn’t seen in years.
The gardens are breathtaking, a vibrant sprawl of golden blooms and gleaming fountains that seem to echo the brilliance of the sun overhead. But Azriel doesn’t see any of it.
His focus is entirely on you.
You look radiant, the golden hues of Day Court seeming to highlight the confidence you’ve gained in your time away.
Lucien leans closer, his expression soft yet intent, and the sight makes something dark and ugly twist in Azriel’s chest. It’s not the first time he’s seen Lucien or been jealous of the male, but this—this—feels different. He used to feel that pang of jealousy when he blindly pined for Elain, now with you it returned with a greater force.
He doesn’t understand why these feelings have suddenly spread through him. You’ve always been his friend. His anchor. But as Lucien reaches out to brush a stray hair from your face, Azriel feels like he’s watching something slip through his fingers.
“Az?” Feyre’s voice pulls him back. She’s watching him with careful eyes, her brow furrowing.
He shakes his head and straightens his posture, forcing his expression back into neutral territory. “I’m fine.” But he isn’t.
Before Feyre can press him further, Lucien notices their approach and gives a low whistle. “Well, well. Velaris sends its finest.” His tone is teasing, but there’s warmth in his amber eyes as they flick toward you.
You turn, and when your gaze lands on Azriel, your smile falters. It’s a subtle shift, but he sees it. Feels it.
“Rhysand. Feyre. Azriel,” you greet, inclining your head slightly, your voice polite but distant. As if they were strangers and not the family you chose all those centuries ago.
He hates it.
The reunion is cordial at first, filled with pleasantries and talk of work. Lucien stands close to you, his presence steady, his hand occasionally brushing yours in a way that grounds you. Azriel’s shadows stir restlessly, but he forces them into submission.
“You’ve done well here,” Feyre says warmly, her gaze sweeping over the garden. “It suits you.”
“Thank you.” Your smile is genuine, though it doesn’t quite reach Azriel. “Helion has been… generous with his trust.”
“And with his emissary’s time,” Lucien adds, grinning at you. “She’s a natural. Can’t imagine how Day Court managed before she arrived.”
The praise makes you duck your head slightly, a faint blush blooming across your cheeks. Azriel’s jaw tightens.
“Sounds like you’ve been keeping busy,” he says, his voice lower than usual.
Your eyes flick to him briefly before turning back to Lucien, but there’s something guarded in your expression. “I have. It’s been… fulfilling.”
The word stings more than it should.
Eventually, Feyre and Rhys drift away with Lucien, leaving you and Azriel alone amidst the golden flowers. The silence stretches between you, heavy with unspoken words.
“You’ve been… different,” he says finally, breaking the silence.
You glance at him, your arms folding across your chest. “Different how?”
He hesitates, searching for the right words. “Happier,” he admits.
The softness in his voice almost makes you falter, but you stand your ground. “I am,” you say simply.
His shadows curl around his feet, agitated. “You left so suddenly,” he says, his tone sharper now. “One day you were there, and the next you were… gone. No warning. No explanation.”
You raise an eyebrow, bitterness creeping into your voice. “I told you I needed space. I told all of you.” You pause for a second, staring at a cluster of white lilies. “Why does it matter now, Azriel?”
“Because I miss you,” he says, the words raw and unguarded. “We all do. But me… I—” He stops himself, jaw clenching.
You laugh softly, but it’s a hollow, bitter sound. “You miss me now? After I’ve finally started to find peace? After you’ve built a life with Gwyn?”
His shadows surge forward, brushing against your arm, but you shake them off. “Don’t do this, Azriel.”
“You’re my friend,” he says, and the words make your heart twist painfully.
You whirl to face him, your eyes blazing. “No. I was never just your friend, Azriel. I was your mate.”
The truth spills out before you can stop it, sharp and cutting. He freezes, his expression shifting from confusion to disbelief.
“What?” His voice is barely a whisper.
You laugh again, a broken sound. “The Cauldron tied us together centuries ago, but you never felt it, did you? You never even noticed.”
His shadows pull back, retreating like they’ve been burned. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because it didn’t matter!” you snap, your voice rising. “You didn’t want me that way, Azriel. You never did. And I wasn’t about to force something on you that you didn’t feel.”
He stares at you, his usually stoic face cracking with something raw and uncertain. “I—”
But you shake your head, cutting him off. “It doesn’t matter anymore. I’ve moved on.”
“You’ve moved on?” he echoes, his gaze flicking toward the direction Lucien went. His voice lowers, dangerous. “With him?”
“Yes,” you say firmly, though the word feels heavy. “Because he sees me, Azriel. He knows what it’s like to be unwanted. To feel second-best.”
The words are a dagger between you, and you can see the way they strike him, the way his shadows twist and writhe.
“Is that what you think?” he asks quietly, his voice breaking. “That you were second-best?”
Your throat tightens, but you refuse to back down. “I don’t think it. I know it.”
For a moment, neither of you speak. The bond hums faintly in your chest, but it’s different now—fading, unraveling as you finally let go of the male who could never love you the way you deserved.
“I’m happy here,” you say softly, your voice steady. “And you… you have Gwyn. You have your life in Velaris. Let that be enough.”
Azriel doesn’t argue. He just stands there, his shadows a chaotic storm around him, as you turn and walk away.
This time, you don’t look back.

Pairing: Daniel Ricciardo x singer!reader

A/N This is my first time writing in a really long time so pls go easy on me, and let me know if you want part 2! This part is more of a prologue, it will get spicier as it develops in future parts
-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Part 1
It's the first Monday in May; Met Gala day. I've been before, and it's always been one of my favourite events of the year, but this year is different. This year, I'm performing.
I shouldn't be nervous, I've performed in front of thousands of people worldwide, but as I pull up to the red carpet, I can't remember the last time I felt this nervous. I close my eyes and focus on my breathing, trying to shut out the conversations of my team around me.
"Y/n, it's time to go", my assistant calls, jolting me from my thoughts. My stylist fusses with my hair, and I stand to step out of the car. As I step onto the carpet, the flash of cameras illuminate the night, and I can't help but feel a rush of excitement.
I smooth down the delicate fabric of my gown, a 2001 Karl Lagerfeld dress, and begin to navigate my way towards the cameras. The flashes are almost blinding, and the paparazzi start shouting directions at me, telling me where to look. At first, red carpets and paparazzi were overwhelming, but it's become second nature to me by now.
I make my way across the carpet and up the steps, pausing every now and then for photos and to say hi to a few industry friends before making my way into the opulent halls of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
After catching up with an old friend, I hear an Australian voice calling my name. Glancing around, my eyes land on a familiar face, but one that I've only seen on television screens and in the pages of magazines.
Daniel Ricciardo.
He stands tall, making his way towards me. Despite attending a few races, I've never met him, and his easy smile draws me in like a magnet. I knew he was good-looking, but up close...
"Hi, I'm Daniel," he says, interrupting me from my thoughts and extending his right hand. I reach out and shake his hand, trying to ignore the shivers crawling up my arm at his touch.
"I'm a huge fan," he adds with a grin.
"Oh, you don't need to introduce yourself to me," I say, smiling back at him. "I'm a fan, too. Is this your first Met?"
"It is. Pretty crazy out there, right?" Daniel responds, gesturing towards the crowd outside.
"Sure is." I agree, nodding.
"I was just ahead of you on the carpet, you made it look easy," he says, beaming his signature grin again.
"Thank you," I chuckle. "It hasn't always come naturally, but y'know, it comes with the job. You must be used to it too, especially now you're a Netflix star."
"You watched Drive to Survive?" he asks, seeming surprised.
"Of course, like I said, I'm a fan too. It's great to meet you."
Our conversation flows effortlessly, spanning topics from our favourite tracks to travel adventures. Despite the glitz and glamour surrounding us, our interaction feels genuine, as if we've known each other for far longer than just a few minutes.
"So, what's it like performing in front of thousands of people?" Daniel asks, eyes sparkling with curiosity as we make our way around the exhibits.
"It's exhilarating," I reply, trying to mask the nerves that flutter in my stomach at the thought of tonight's performance. "But it can also be nerve-wracking. Tonight's no exception."
"I can imagine," he muses, leaning in slightly as if hanging on to my every word. "But I have no doubt you'll kill it out there."
His words offer a comforting reassurance, and I can't help but smile gratefully. "Thanks, Daniel. That means a lot." I say, as I see my assistant approaching from the corner of my eye. "That's my cue. It was great to meet you, Daniel." I say, not quite ready for the conversation to be over.
As I start to walk away, Daniel catches my arm gently, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through me. "Hey, if you need a distraction from the nerves, I'll be right here."
I chuckle nervously, grateful for his offer. "Thanks, I might take you up on that." With a final wave, I disappear into the backstage chaos, my mind buzzing with anticipation for the performance ahead.
As I take the stage, the bright lights momentarily blind me, but as my eyes adjust, I scan the crowd for familiar faces. And there, in the sea of Hollywood stars and models, I spot Daniel, his encouraging smile a beacon of support amidst the sea of faces.
Our eyes lock for a brief moment, and in that instant, I feel a surge of confidence wash over me. With his silent encouragement, I dive into the performance, pouring my heart and soul into each lyric. After my performance, I head back into the crowd to watch the other performers and catch up with a few friends, but I can't escape the disappointment in the back of my mind that I haven't bumped into Daniel again.
Later in the night, as I'm beginning to get bored of forced conversations, our paths cross again. Daniel's presence is like a magnet, drawing me in with his infectious energy and easy charm. We find ourselves laughing and sharing stories, the rest of the gala fading into the background as we lose ourselves in each other's company.
"So, what's next for you after tonight?" Daniel asks. I smile, feeling a rush of warmth at his interest. "Well, this was my last performance for a little while. I'm taking a break for a bit before heading to the studio to work on new music. What about you?"
Daniel shrugs casually. "Oh, same old. Just doing some promo stuff for Red Bull. I'm desperate to get back on the track."
Instinctively, I reach out and gently touch his arm. "I have no doubt you'll get there, you're a talented driver."
Before I can say anything else, Daniel reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. "Hey, would you mind if I got your number?" he asks, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
My heart skips a beat at his request, and I nod, trying to contain my excitement. "Of course," I reply, trying to keep my voice steady as I take the phone from his hands and enter my number.
"Thanks," Daniel says with a grateful smile as he takes his phone back. "I'd love to stay in touch."
The warmth in his voice sends a thrill through me, and I can't help but smile back. "Me too," I reply, my heart fluttering with anticipation.
As the night begins to wind down, the energy of the gala mellows into a gentle hum of conversation and soft music. Daniel and I linger for a while longer, savouring the final moments of the evening.
I glance at the time on my phone and realise that it's time for me to leave. "I hate to cut this short, but I should probably head out. Mind if we take a quick picture before I go?"
"Of course," he says warmly, leaning in as I snap a picture of the two of us at our table. "It's been an amazing night, thank you for making me feel welcome at my first Met."
"The pleasure was all mine. See you again soon?" I say, trying to hide the sadness creeping into my voice at the thought of saying goodbye.
"I hope so," he smiles, opening his arms and pulling me in to a gentle embrace. I reluctantly tear myself away, the lingering scent of his cologne leaving a bittersweet reminder of our evening together.
Settling into the backseat of my car, the picture of Daniel and I burns brightly on my phone screen. I decide to share the moment to my Instagram story, tagging Daniel alongside the honey and badger emojis. I place my phone in my bag to avoid the notifications that are sure to start rolling in, and rest my head against the window, shutting my eyes to replay the night in my head, wondering when I'll see Daniel again.

Smut prompts 11 and 14 with Dom Robin
I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting 🫶🏻
“Be a good girl/boy for mommy/daddy.”
“I’m going to fucking ruin you.”
Ruin
Tumblr media
Robin scribbled on a random piece of paper, another slow hour at the video store. Steve was talking about nonsense, she trained herself to close out his voice.
She heard the bell, and without looking up she welcomed the customer.
"Shit!" Steve said, quickly ducking under the counter. That caught Robin's attention. She looked at Steve and up to the door. A gorgeous walked in, her eyes dancing over the many movie selections.
"What are you doing?" Robin whispered, trying not to make it obvious she was speaking to the floor.
"That's Y/N. I went on a date with her and promised to call and I never did because Nancy wanted to get back together like two years ago. I didn't think I'd ever see her again!" Steve panicked.
Robin rolled her eyes, not surprised by Steve's immature nature.
"Do you ever treat girls with respect, dingus?" Robin said, landing a soft kick to his leg. Steve hissed at her and rubbed the spot she kicked.
"Yes! Just not good at communicating." Steve defended himself.
"Is there someone down there or are you talking to yourself?"
Robin jumped as another voice joined, the girl now at the counter. Robin felt like the wind was kicked out of her. This girl was even more beautiful up close. Perfect eyes, nose, and lips.
"Which one makes this less weird?" Robin asked, a nervous chuckle followed. Y/N laughed with her and leaned over the counter.
"Ah Harrington," Y/N said, "you don't have to hide. It was two years ago." Y/N laughed and stood back. Steve slowly stood up, an awkward smile on his face as he waved.
"Oh hey, how have you been?" Steve asked, his voice cracked. She was always beautiful but it seemed two years away from him was very good to her.
"I've been good. How about you? How's Nance?" Y/N asked, and she was genuine. She barely had a bad bone in her body and she didn't bother to hold a grudge.
"I'm good, she's good, and Robin's good," Steve said patting Robin on the shoulder, words falling out of his mouth without a thought.
"I'm glad to hear everyone is good," Y/N smiled. Steve and Robin didn't even notice she had a movie in her hand until she slid it over.
Robin checked her out and Y/N was out the door.
"Wow," Robin breathed, she was in awe.
~~~
Robin did not stop thinking about Y/N since the second she saw her. There was something so gentle and sweet in Y/N's smile. Like she was pure and innocent, and something in Robin wanted to destroy it.
She did feel a bit jealous that Y/N was interested in Steve at a point. It seemed like Steve always got the girl's attention and he ruined it. Ruining a shot with Y/N seemed like a very dumb idea.
It had been two days before she made her return. This time Robin flirted her ass off. She needed to give it a shot, and she'd go down trying.
Luckily for her, she pulled it off.
Robin had Y/N blushing and giggling all night on their date. Teasing Y/N to the point that Y/N couldn't sit still. She kept wiggling in her chair and staring at Robin's hands and lips.
Robin couldn't help but feel smug and confident as she walked Y/N into her room. Easily had control as she pushed Y/N against the mattress.
Y/N moaned as Robin's tongue explored her mouth. Robin's hands were all over Y/N's body and it sent her in a spiral. Her touch was so fast and hot.
"Rob," Y/N whined, Robin's fingers were so fast as they pushed into Y/N's cunt. Y/N couldn't help but clench her thighs, trapping her hand.
"Be a good girl for mommy and open those legs," Robin whispered, her voice raspy in Y/N's ear. Y/N shivered but spread open her thighs. She had never felt this way before and she loved it. Robin's fingers continued to push in and out as her tongue danced with Y/N's. Y/N tried to keep up with the kiss but the pleasure between her legs made it almost impossible.
Robin released the kiss but kept her lips busy as she sucked on Y/N's neck. Robin felt herself drip at the image of Y/N with her marks all over her neck, marking her.
Y/N moaned as she threw her head back, Robin's fingers showed no mercy as she picked up the pace. She curled her fingers just right, making Y/N whimper as her back arched. Robin rubbed Y/N's clit, forcing the orgasm out of her. Y/N clawed and shook as the tension in her stomach kept building. Her eyes closed and mouth opened as she released all over Robin's fingers. She saw stars and shapes behind her closed lids. All she could feel was Robin's fingers moving in and out. And the loud sound of Y/N's wetness echoed throughout Robin's room.
"Good girl," Robin praised, taking out her soaked fingers.
~
"Are you sure?" Y/N asked, her voice shaking with nerves as she looked down at Robin.
Robin laid on her back, Y/N's body hovering over her face. Robin had her hands on her hips, a smile on her face.
"Trust me, baby, I'm sure. Now sit." Robin demanded. Her blue eyes were bright as she looked up at Y/N's naked body. The sweat dripping down her neck, breasts, and stomach, making Robin crave her even more.
"I'm going to fucking ruin you," Robin said, her eyes a dark blue as lust glazed over.
Y/N was hesitant as she lowered herself to Robin's mouth, but Robin had no more patience left. She slammed Y/N's body down, her full weight now seated on Robin's hungry mouth.
Her mouth was messily making out with her cunt. Y/N could barely breathe at how fast Robin was eating her out. The way her tongue could be inside of her then on her clit and back all within seconds. Y/N gripped the headboard for balance, and Robin kept her arms wrapped around her locking her down.
Y/N lost herself in the feeling, and she began to rock her hips against Robin's mouth.
Robin felt like she was in gay heaven. Y/N danced on her tongue, tasting sweet and addicting. She couldn't get enough as she sucked as hard as she could. She loved feeling Y/N's thighs shaking around her head, the sounds of her moans and heavy breathing.
She couldn't believe she had this gorgeous girl on top of her and let Robin eat her like it was her last meal. Robin ignored the throbbing between her legs, her clit begging for attention. But she knew she could wait because she was not letting Y/N get up anytime soon.
Walking AC Unit
"-It being a hot day in Twisted Wonderland, and im assuming since Y/N’s a dragon with ice magic, they probably radiate coldness so everyone’s swarming around them" Once again, courtesy of- Your Imaginary Friend on Quotev
As I've previously mentioned through out my writing, Y/N naturally produces an icy air around them. While the heat bothers them, their cold helps them to stay on the cooler side of things. One particularly hot day at NRC, the First Year Squad, whiling hanging out with you, found out that you helped them cool down by just being near. They stuck with you the rest of the day, others would soon follow suite.
        "Why does it have to be soooo hooot today!?" Epel whined. He fanned his face with his hand rapidly. Ace's face was flushed red, Deuce's body slouched from exhaustion and Jack's ears drooped down as he panted lightly. Sebek said nothing, but the sweat on his forehead was easy to spot.
        "I don't know man, but it's starting to kill me!" complained Ace. It was a peculiarly hot day at NRC. The sun shone brighter and hotter than it has all year, and the schools AC system did nothing to stop the students from overheating. Even the teachers couldn't really teach during class because of the heat.
        Jack decided to speak. "Man, things were bad enough this morning, but everything got worse after that, even at the end of the school day. It's hotter than Savanaclaw out here, and that's saying something. His tail wagged behind him in an attempt to cool off.
        "I don't know what you humans are talking about! This weather is nothing! I don't feel a thing!" Even the heat couldn't stop Sebek from yelling. "Shut up, Sebek!" the other boys said in unison. That was enough to convince Sebek to quiet down. Deuce turned around and spotted someone familiar.
        "Hey guys, look, it's Y/N." he said as he pointed at the tall dragon heading their way. Everyone else turned to face You. You walked towards them pretty quickly, it was kinda scary from their point of view.
        "Are you guys heating to death right now!?" you asked. Your voice had a hint of exhaustion in it. The others groaned in confirmation. You nodded your head in understanding. Ace eyed you up and down, his face changed to look confused.
        "You don't even look hot, Y/N. Do you even got hot? Being an ice dragon and all." You paused. It was a question you've been asked before, and were tired of hearing. You looked at him with a strained, open smile and close eyes. Your fangs glinted off the light of the sun. It sent a shiver down his spine. Behind him, Epel let out a quiet gasp. He's known you long enough to know about you and heat.
        "Yes, Ace. I am an ice dragon. Despite that, even a little bit of heat can effect me. Ice dragons just don't sweat. I feel like I'm dying." you told him with a dangerous edge in your voice. He backed off. Epel decided to ask how you were staying cool enough not pass out. You pointed at the medium sized bag that sat across your chest.
        "I bought this at Sam's shop. He knew I was coming and had it ready for me. It's enchanted and creates ice in its pockets. When I get to hot from the heat, I just take out a piece of ice-" you grabbed one for a demonstration. "-and plop in into my mouth and eat it." The ice fell in your mouth and crunched as you chewed it. "The extra ice in my body allows me to cool down and my icy mist gets colder." You could already feel the effects.
        "That's actually pretty neat, that's all it really takes for you to control your body temperature." Deuce said with his chin in his hand as he looked at you. The others nodded in agreement.
        "WOAH, WAIT!!" Ace yelped. Everyone turned to him. He was patting his face and neck frantically. "How in the world?!". He looked genuinely confused and shocked. Deuce placed his hand on Ace's shoulder.
        "Dude, what's wrong? What's got you so riled up?" Deuce asked. Ace looked at Deuce and pointed at his face. "I don't feel hot anymore!! I've stopped sweating too!!" he exclaimed. We all took a closer look at him. He was right, his face even lost the red it was once covered in and no sweat could be seen. Everyone else started patting themselves down to find that they weren't hot anymore either. Epel stopped and stared at you.
        "Y/N, you said that you create a cold mist around you, right?" You nodded. "It must be that then! You're mist is cooling us down, just like it does to you!". You thought for a moment, soon coming to the same thought process as Epel. "You're right, it's actually not the first time it's happened. I just didn't think about it before this.", you said as your wings opened. If your friends were really benefiting from your presence, might as well help them out a bit more with more mist.
        "Now that I look more, I can see the mist around you." Jack said. "It's faint, but there." His beast-man eyes helped him out.
        "That's great!!!" cheered a new voice. Cater came out of no where and jumped onto your back, clearly not thinking. He immediately regretted his decision as he felt your cold scales send a jolt of freezing cold up his arms and through his body. He backed off and took to standing under your open right wing. "Now I have a way to keep cool from this blistering heat." he said with a dramatic twang in his words.
        For the rest of the afternoon, Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jack, Sebek and Cater stuck with you like they were attached to your hip. It was annoying at first, but you quickly adjusted and didn't mind the company in the end. You all found a large, shady tree to sit under. They snuggled up close to you while you sat with your back to the tree. Apparently, being outside now meant they didn't mind the freezing of your scales. Epel sat between your legs, Jack and Cater on your right side laying in your lap. Deuce and Ace sat on your left with Ace's head on your shoulder and Deuce nudging into your side. Sebek, grudgingly, placed his head against you thigh.
        Cater took out his phone and snapped a picture of you all together. You only managed to get a glimpse of the caption he posted with the picture. Staying cool w/ the first years! #Y/NIsThePerfectACForTheHotDay! You decided to ignore it and just let him do his thing. You know how Cater can be at times. Nothing happened for a while, that is until you got some extra guests.
        Leona and Ruggie found you all. With no words, Leona joined the group and quickly fell asleep. Ruggie joined as well and told you that he and Leona had seen Cater's Magicam post and just had to get in on the action.
        Soon, even more of your friends came by. Kalim, who was followed by Jamil, came and both found a snug place right under your right wing. Jade, Floyd and Azul found you eventually. Floyd got as close as he could and Jade sat next to him, Azul found a comfy spot between the Twins. Rook plopped down from the actual tree and laid in the grass next to your tail.
        Riddle and Trey had actually accidentally stumbled upon your dog pile of boys. They found spots under your left wing. Ortho saw Cater's post and dragged Idia by the collar and forced him to come as well. Idia kept a distance at first but fell asleep and Ortho pushed him closer. Vil was reluctant but Rook convinced him to lay down. Later came Lilia, with Silver sluggishly in tow. Silver passed out immediately after finding a spot in your lap (if anyone could still fit honestly). Lilia climbed the tree and found a low hanging branch where he decided to take a nap upside down. Malleus, who was right behind Lilia and Silver, sat next to you and he revealed his tail. He intertwined yours and his tail with a smile.
        Eventually, you were the only one awake. The heat of the day left everyone exhausted. Much to your surprise, all the boys covering you didn't make the heat worse. Just in case though you ate a piece of ice. The mist got colder and everyone seemed to get a bit more comfortable. You stretched your wings our further and made sure to cover those you could reach. You felt your own exhaustion start to take over and your eyelids fluttered open and shut. Content with the people you cared about surrounding you, you gave into the desire to sleep, happy with where you were at.
(I loved the idea of you and all the boys sitting under a tree with your wings spread across everyone! Fun fact: After this hot day, Professor Oski (refer back to First Day of School chapter) taught you how to use the personal snow cloud spell. It helped from this incident happening again.)
Tumblr media
Javier had been standing outside for a while now, his gaze focused on the dry, concrete pavement in front of the Embassy. He took a drag of his marlboro cigarette and exhaled after a few moments, silently watching as the cloud of smoke wafted away.
The DEA Agent took a glance up at the night sky and the flickering streetlamps that had been due for maintenance years ago. The sound of footsteps snapped him out of his daze, and he then turned his head.
"buenas noches, señor peña!"
it was y/n, the newly arrived intern: a bubbly girl that was way too excited when anyone mentioned criminals, with a smile that made even the sun want to take a closer look.
“buenas noches, querida.” The Texan rasped, his eyes taking note of her outfit. god, what a dress.
"long day, huh?" she asks before reaching her hand out and offering Javier a cup filled to the brim with warm coffee. "i know it's late, but coffee is always good." she smiles intently.
He smiled back, nodding his head in thanks, before accepting the coffee cup in his hands. "thank you, and yes, very long day indeed. this fucking heat isn't helping at all." Javier chuckles as he takes a long sip from the cup.
"i was gonna finish my coffee then head home, my feet are killing me..." she groans. "Also, this dress is horrible...forgot to wear some nylons under it, and now my thighs feel like you could fry something on them."
Javier raised an eyebrow, and looked down at her thighs, his curiosity piqued. smiling in the corner of his mouth, y/n's eyes met his. He then looked down once again for a moment, before chuckling ever so slightly.
"Does that matter when you look so good, hermosa?"
y/n lets out a soft giggle, cheeks turning a pale shade of red, before she slaps his shoulder playfully. "you say that to everyone, señor Peña"
Javier chuckled, his deep voice rumbling softly as he took another sip of the coffee. "Only to those who deserve it," he replied with a mischievous glint in his eyes. y/n's blush deepened, and she couldn't help but smile at his response. "Well, I'm flattered..."
As they stood there under the flickering streetlamp, sharing a moment of casual banter amidst the night's shadows, Javier couldn't deny that the unexpected company of the bubbly intern had lightened the weight of the long, tiring day.
He appreciated her energy and enthusiasm, which contrasted the often grim and serious nature of his work.
it's what made him more excited to come to work for the past few months. and buy new clothes...and cologne. Javier will never admit it was for her, though.
"Listen," Javier began, taking a more serious tone, "I know you're new here, and this job can be tougher than it looks. But I've got a good feeling about you, y/n. You've got that spark, and that's something we could use around here."
y/n's s eyes widened in surprise and gratitude. "Thank you, señor Peña. I really appreciate that. I promise to give it my all." she nods. " all though...a certain someone who i will not name told me to never ever trust your praises as they're just means to get into someone's pants.." y/n laughed.
"you're too smart for that, muñeca."
Javier smirked, amused by her response. "Well, I can't say I haven't heard those rumors about me before," he admitted, taking another thoughtful drag of his cigarette. "But, let me assure you, my compliments are genuine when they need to be."
y/n's smile was contagious, and she couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll take your word for it."
As they continued to chat and sip their coffee, the night air began to cool, providing some much-needed relief from the scorching heat. Their camaraderie, lighthearted yet sincere, made the hours they spent at the embassy more bearable.
it's been a while since Javier last felt this way with someone. He hated to admit it, but it was true.
Javier couldn't help but reflect on how long it had been since he'd experienced a genuine connection like this. The life of a DEA agent often led to solitude and secrecy, and trust was a rare and treasured commodity in his line of work.
With y/n, though, he sensed a different kind of trust budding. It wasn't just about the job; it was about the shared moments, the laughter.
Javier found himself appreciating the small, subtle details about y/n. The way her hair fell onto her shoulders, as if it were a cascade of silk, had a certain charm that was hard to ignore. He couldn't help but notice how her rosy cheeks seemed to light up every time he complimented her, and it warmed his heart to see her smile so genuinely.
And in that quiet corner of the world, under the watchful gaze of the night sky and the flickering streetlamps, Javier couldn't deny the fact that he enjoyed these stolen moments with y/n.
godㅡㅡ he doesn't know if he wants to fuck her or rip his heart out, cover it in glitter and give it to her, for fuck's sake.
his thoughts are stopped dead in their tracks as y/n's voice fills his ears again. "i should head home now... what about you? still got work or are you ready to head home? maybe we can walk together!"
"still have some work, querida, but..." he trails off "are you really in a hurry to get home?"
y/n hesitated for a moment, torn between her desire to spend more time with Javier and the exhaustion of a long day. "Well, I'd love to stay, but I have an early morning tomorrow, and I should get some rest."
Javier nodded in understanding, taking a final drag from his cigarette before extinguishing it on the pavement. "I understand, hermosa. You go ahead and get some rest. Don't want you falling asleep during those early meetings."
"so...you're not gonna walk me home?" she sounds kind of disappointed.
shit. she's so cute. someone slap this man. He's supposed to be an untouchable god that every woman wants. yet here he is, almost drooling over y/n.
Javier's expression softened at her disappointment, and he couldn't help but chuckle at her pouting. "Alright, alright, I suppose I can spare a few more minutes. It's not every day I get to walk a beautiful young lady home," he said with a wink.
y/n's face lit up, and she grinned. "You really know how to make a girl's night, señor."
walking together through the dimly lit streets, Javier couldn't deny the way he felt toward y/n. She was indeed beautiful, and her playful banter made him forget about the weight of his responsibilities, if only for a little while.
as they made their way to y/n's house, the wind hummed through the trees, soft creaks from some nearby swings in a park swirling alongside it. the night seemed to embrace them
it was beautiful. she was beautiful. fucking hell man, come on, get it together.
"we almost there, muñeca? you live pretty far away. how do you manage?"
"I've got things that motivate me to manage it."
"things?"
"yeah...stuff, you know? like work...people."
She laughed, and they continued walking together, their conversation ranging from the challenges of their work to the mundane details of their lives. The more they talked, the more Javier found himself drawn to her spirit and charm ㅡㅡ if that possible.
As they finally reached her doorstep, y/n turned to face him, a hint of reluctance in her eyes. "Well...we're here." she reaches for the doorknob before hastily turning back to face Javier. "do you want to maybe...come inside and ㅡㅡ maybe talk?"
was he really asking him this? impossible. this is a dream. that's how all of his dreams start. and they end with her under him.
"Iㅡ" he hesitatingly tries to reply "it's fine if you dont wanna! don't even know why i asked you, it's weird, sorryㅡ"
"No, querida, wait. I do." he sighs "I do want to come inside. That's the problem."
y/n's eyes widened with surprise at his response, her cheeks flushing with a mix of nervousness and excitement. She stammered, "Oh, uh... can't believe it.. Well, come on in, then!" Her hand shook slightly as she opened the door and gestured for him to follow.
Javier couldn't believe his luck. This unexpected turn of events left him both exhilarated and cautiousㅡㅡ if his boss finds out about this they're both better off as dead. As they stepped into her cozy living room, the air seemed charged with a palpable tension, a delicate balance between temptation and anticipation.
They settled on her couch, sitting close but not too close. y/n nervously played with a strand of her hair, her gaze occasionally meeting his, their eyes locking in a silent, electric exchange.
"y/n, I need to be honest," Javier finally spoke, his voice lower and more intense. "I'm not used to this kind of situation. I'm usually a lot more careful. 's why I try to only get with people who, you know..." he trails off, motioning his hands in the air.
y/n nodded, understanding the weight of their profession and the risks involved when it comes to, well, being amorous. "I get it. It's just... I don't know. There's something about you that's... I feel so silly saying this, god."
Javier leaned in closer, his gaze unwavering. "Tell me, y/n"
Their faces drew nearer, the magnetic pull between them impossible to ignore. It was a gamble, a moment of vulnerability neither of them were used to, but they were both willing to see where this unexpected night would lead.
She swallowed hard, the tension between them growing. "I really like you, and i know you probably find me stupid and a klutz and also I'm young, so what do I knowㅡ"
"Woah, querida. Slow down."
Javier placed a finger gently on y/n's lips, silencing her thoughts. "First of all, you're not stupid or a klutz, and age has nothing to do with how you feel, hermosa. And, believe me, you're not alone in those feelings."
y/n's eyes searched his for a sign, a confirmation that he felt the same way. She couldn't help but feel her heart racing in anticipation.
With a soft, reassuring smile, Javier continued, "I've been doing this job for a long time, and I've met a lot of people. But there's something about you.." he looks down at her lips "can I?"
"y-esㅡ"
Their lips found each other in a passionate kiss, igniting a fire between them that felt deeper and more genuine than anything they had experienced before. Javier's hands roamed up y/n's body, pulling her closer to him as the kiss became increasingly intense.
When they finally pulled away, they were left panting, their eyes locked in an electrifying gaze. "fuck, querida," Javier whispered, his voice husky with desire. "do you know how long I've waited for this?"
y/n's breathless response came in a soft, sultry whisper, "not as long as I have.."
javier's lips crash onto y/n's neck, sucking small spots, the skin blooming red as they hastily start to undress each other.
"gonna let me take care of you, muñeca?"
"pleaseㅡ"
fuck, she sounds so desperate.
"i know, hermosa. Mira, déjame cuidarte esta noche."
Javier's fingers dance onto her skin, trailing up to where her bra clasp was. in one swift motion he relieves y/n, letting her breasts fall down into one of his palms.
inching closer, he starts to trace kisses down her neck to her cleavage, nipping slightly at the sensitive skin between her chest. " so beautiful. "
his mustache lightly tickling her as he prepped small kisses all over her, javier pushes y/n onto her back and pulls her hips closer to his by her ankles, drawing a soft whine from the latter. "patience, muñeca. can you wait just a little more for me, huh?"
"y-yesㅡ"
"good girl."
he finally pulls off her panties, tossing them to the side as he spreads y/n's cunt wide open with two of his fingers, analyzing the way it glistened in the dimly lit room. "so pretty. my pretty girl." y/n moans in response.
placing his palm behind her knee, he lift up her legs as to press light pecks onto her plush thighs, his thumb now tracing down to her pulsing clit. javier starts to slowly swirl his finger, still kissing y/n's thigh. "I'm gonna stretch out that pretty pussy, querida, it'll be all you think about."
tracing her entrace with his index, he plunges his finger deep into her, causing y/n to arch her back onto the mattress of the couch. this was it. he was where all of his fantasies led him to. now that he had her, he'll never let go.
cunningly, javier moved his finger into y/n's pussy, squelching sounds and her moans lapping off the walls and into his ears like melodies. "that's right. want you to come on my fingers, hermosa."
it didn't take long for y/n to finally give him what he asked for, coming just from javier's fingers, her body writhing as soft whines dripped from her lips.
"Do you want to continue, querida?" he asks, caressing ar her hips. "please, javier..." and when she pleaded his name in such a way, it sent a jolt up his spine, causing his cock to twitch into his boxers.
"i got you." he smiles, eyes tracing every curve of y/n's body. he takes off his briefs, letting his shaft spring free, small pearls of precum already gathered at the tip. y/n's eyes opened out more as she saw the sheer monster that was about to enter inside of her. "it's fine, querida. it won't bite, hm?" javier hums.
taking his length into his fist, javier pumps it a few times before he aligns it with y/n's entrance that trickled with slick. he teases her clit with the tip of it then goes in, making y/n to claw at his back.
"shh, muñeca. it's okay..." Javier starts to move slowly, gently holding y/n's waist as he lets her adjust to him. sla few strokes after he feels her wrap her legs around him, urging him deeper. "harder, please.." she pleads, the sweetest sounds escaping her plump and swollen lips.
"fuck.." Javier groans, almost coming right then with the way she stared up at him through her lashes wet with tears. "fuck, sweet girlㅡ" he starts to pump inside of her, harder and deeper, roughly hitting that one spot continously.
y/n moans, her head empty, vision blurry, and mouth agape. she was a mess, the prettiest mess he'd ever seen. all because... thanks to him.
the man moves back and forth harshly, feeling himself so close as y/n's valvet walls wrapped perfectly around his cock. "shitㅡ you were made for my cock, muñeca. my pretty, pretty girl." he moans, pressing his head between her breasts, nails digging bruises into y/n's hips.
a few moments later, y/n is completely blank, incoherent babbles skipping from her mouth as Javier fucks deep into her. "you gonna come, hermosa?" y/n nods rapidly "go aheadㅡ fuck! go ahead, come on this cock, show me how good you are to me."
that's all she needed.
she comes once again, nimbly wrapping around javier like a vine, her walls squeezing him so tight it makes his release warm, white ropes inside of her immediately.
they both pant, as they come down from their high. realization sets in as they meet each other's gaze.
"thank god you're only an intern, querida. I'm strictly forbidden to fuck employees." Javier chuckles. "oh, shut up, jerk." y/n huffs, smiling as she presses yet another kiss onto his lips.
Locked Out - Pt.2
Tumblr media
group: xikers
pair: neighbour!minjae x fem!reader
genre: college au, fluff, pining(?), boy next door(?)
word count: 3.2k
content: no content warnings teehee ♡ (unless the existence of food is a content warning?)
a/n: read part 1 HERE
After finishing your food, you found yourself sitting down with Minjae on his couch, just chatting about this and that. The conversation just seemed to flow so naturally.
“So why exactly were you locked out of your own dorm?” He smirked, stretching an arm across the back of the small couch. You chuckled embarrassedly and dropped your head.
“Well…obviously I forgot my key when I was leaving for class this morning. That wouldn't have been a problem if it didn't just so happen to be the day my roommate was going to visit her sister. Overnight.”
“Oof.” He said, smiling.
“BIG oof. So anyway, she locked the door when she left while I was at class. Then I went to work, and when I finally got home- no key.”
He chuckled lightly into his hand, making you gasp and giggle back.
“Hey, don't laugh!” You smacked his arm playfully.
“I'm sorry!....It's kinda funny, though.”
You scoffed dramatically, not in a space at all to act upset with a massive smile stretched across your face.
“...That's when you showed up…” You smiled softly at him and his laughter dried up as a slightly flustered expression came across his face. “So, thank you.”
He suddenly cleared his throat and turned his head away, the red tips of his ears peeking out from behind his hair.
“Y-Yeah, o-of course…” He stuttered and you couldn't help but find his shy persona endearing.
“So…Minjae.”
“Hmm?” His head snapped back up to look over at you, his voice cracking slightly as he hummed.
“What's your major? I've never seen you around on campus before.”
The pink slowly faded from his cheeks as he responded.
“Music production! So, like composing and lyric writing, and I even do some performance based classes.”
You felt a strange tickle in your stomach as he said that and thought: “Wow. Okay, that's kind of attractive.”
“Woah, so can you like play the guitar and stuff?”
He let out a soft giggle.
“Yup. And the piano. And I can sing too.”
You couldn't help but chuckle at his sudden cockiness.
“Wow, and you're so humble too~” You said sarcastically, earning a bellowing laugh from him and a smile in a way that pushed up his cheeks and bottom eyelids, almost completely hiding his pretty brown eyes from sight. God, it was charming.
After a few seconds, he sighed and looked back at you.
“What about you, y/n?”
You thought for a moment before sighing with a wry smile growing on your face.
“Just…business, I guess, but it’s not really what I want to do.”
He leaned forward slightly, eyes showing complete, genuine interest in what you were saying.
“I actually don't know what I want to do…at all…”
His eyes turned empathetic as you continued.
“I-It's silly-”
“It's not. Not at all.”
You stared back into his deep, round eyes as he spoke with a firm yet gentle tone.
“Believe me, you have no idea how many different things I tried before I decided on music production. I think I switched majors like at least 4 times before landing where I am now.”
Your heart suddenly jumped as he said those words and your eyes went wide.
“4 TIMES?? What year are you in!?”
He looked taken aback for a moment before stuttering out his response.
“Um…well I'm in my first year as a music production major…but my third year in college in general.”
Your mouth fell open slightly.
“You're…21..?”
He nodded softly.
“You're not?” He asked in almost a whispered tone.
“NO?? I'm 19!”
“Oh! Wow. I didn't know they mixed up the ages when assigning us to dorm buildings.”
“Me neither!??!”
The two of you just stared at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter. You were the first one to speak up through your giggles.
“You've been going here for 3 years and you didn't know either??”
He chuckled for a few seconds longer before taking in a breath and responding.
“I don't know! My roommates have always been in the same year as me and I'm not really the type to socialise with the neighbours.”
You giggled softly and he smiled widely at you, his eyes holding emotions you couldn't quite place, and you couldn't deny how much you wanted to just dive into them and find out every little detail about him.
“...Well I'm glad you decided to socialise with me, at least…” You mumbled before you even thought about it, shifting your arm to lay on the back of the couch as well, your fingers dangerously close to brushing against his.
He looked down at the floor with a shy smile before bringing his soft gaze back to you.
“...Me too…You're really cool, y/n…” Your heart skipping when he said your name was already more than you expected, but when the tip of his index finger brushed against your knuckle oh so lightly, it was as if a lightning bolt just ran through your body. Before you knew it, you'd yanked your hand away and were standing upright, fighting a blush quickly overtaking your face. Silence passed between you two for a few seconds, although it felt much much longer as you stood facing away and rubbing at the spot on your knuckle that he had touched.
“...Um…S-Sorry, I thought-”
“I-It's okay! I just…remembered I have class again in the morning, y’know?” You chuckled shyly, turning to face him despite the insanely obvious redness in your cheeks, which he definitely noticed as his cheeks slowly began taking on the same red colour.
“O-oh! R-Right!” He quickly stood, looking around and thinking for a moment.
“Uh…You can sleep in my bed if you want.”
Your blush only deepened as you stared at him, his words replaying in your head endlessly.
“...Huh?”
He just stared at you for a moment slightly confused before it hit him what you were thinking, his face growing so red that you could almost see the steam coming out of his ears.
“OH! NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT, GOD NO!” He slapped his hands over his face and you could've sworn you heard him mutter “idiot!” before sighing and dropping his hands again. “I meant…you sleep in my bed, and I sleep on the couch.”
“O-oh! That makes more sense…” You giggled shyly, looking down at the ground. “But…I'm fine sleeping on the couch y'know? I don't wanna like steal your bed…”
“It's fine!” He hurriedly responded. “Really! I don't mind.”
You looked at the small couch guiltily.
“...It doesn't look very comfortable…”
He followed you gaze to the couch before looking across the room and then back to you.
“Then…I can sleep in Hunter's bed! Would that make you feel better? And before you say anything, he won’t mind, so don't worry.”
You couldn't help but giggle about how he seemingly knew the next way in which you'd protest. He'd successfully removed every reason for you to deny his offer and all you could do was smile up at him.
“Well…how can I say no to that?” You giggled and he smiled widely, looking back at you with that adoring look once again and you couldn't help but feel your heart flutter.
“...A-Anyways…” you mumbled, cheeks almost hurting from how much you'd smiled already tonight, “I'll um…go to sleep, if that's okay?”
He nodded, smiling.
“Y-Yeah! Yeah, of course.”
“Is there anything you need from your room before I go in?”
He thought for a moment before shaking his head.
“You're all good.” He said softly. “It's just that door on the left, there.”
“Thanks…” You muttered softly, picking your bag up and carrying it over to the door. You heard him sigh and mumble something to himself as you entered his room, but you couldn't make it out, and honestly you were too distracted to care. It was like a million different emotions were running through you at once. You felt weird but also giddy, excited, wired, flustered, happy, anxious, nervous, shy, etc etc. Pretty much any feeling you could imagine.
You softly shut the door to his bedroom and looked around, feeling strange to be in a boy's- well…man’s bedroom, especially without the man himself present. But it also felt strangely comfortable; not all that messy but also not insanely spotless so at least you could rule out psychopath, just a few shirts here and there and a used cup sitting on one of the side tables by the bed.
You set your bag down in the corner and rummaged through to find the shirt you wore to class stuffed into the bottom, thanking your past self for feeling lazy and just throwing on a pair of jeans and a kind of oversized shirt earlier that morning. You hastily changed out of your work clothes and into the shirt, before realising you'd either have to sleep in jeans, which honestly sounded like a nightmare, or sleep in Minjae's bed in just your shirt with no pants on, the thought making your stomach flip as you stared over at the soft grey duvet blanketing his bed. You sighed, ignoring the heat re-entering your cheeks, and decided on the latter option, placing your phone on the end table before climbing into the bed. You sunk into the mattress, the bed being surprisingly comfier than your one back in your room. “I thought we all got the same bed??” You thought, pondering how his felt so much softer. You turned over onto your side and pressed your face into the pillow. “Even this pillow is softer…” You took a deep breath in, the fabric of his sheets smelling exactly how you thought they would: like a man. Y'know, sandalwood, musk, maybe a hint of lavender and fabric softener. It was nice. It had really been a while since you'd been in a man’s bed. You thought back to your exes and shuddered before flipping over onto your other side and reaching to turn the lamp off, the room being consumed with darkness as you sighed and let your eyes close softly.
The harsh sound of a phone alarm pierced your dreams and your eyes fluttered open, hand already reaching for your phone on the side tables to silence what had disturbed your slumber. You tapped the screen and rolled over, groaning as you buried your face into the pillow. It took breathing in the unfamiliar scented sheets for you to finally remember where you were, quickly shooting up and looking around the dim room, lit only by a weak streak of light coming from under the door. “Minjae's room. Minjae.”
“...It's way too early to feel this flustered…” You mumbled as you lightly slapped your slowly reddening cheeks, before swinging your legs over the edge of the bed and unsteadily picking yourself up. Yawning softly, you grabbed your phone and turned it on to see the time, squinting as the bright, white light filled your vision. “7am…I wonder if she's home yet…”
You quickly slipped your jeans from yesterday back on before creeping out of the room, your eyes meeting Minjae's back as he rummaged through the fridge. You stepped forward shyly.
“Um…Morning…”
“Oh!” He turned around, another container of food in his hands that he then placed on the counter. “H-Hey…um…sleep okay?”
You nodded softly, stepping up to the counter to see what he had.
“When is your class?” He pried open the container of what seemed to be scrambled eggs bacon before popping it into the microwave.
“O-Oh..9am. But my roommate should be home by then, if she isn't already.”
He smiled softly, eyes dropping to the ground.
“I see…”
A slightly awkward silence passed between the two of you, only being broken by the sound of the microwave beeping and him taking out his breakfast.
“Hungry?” He asked as he placed the warmed up breakfast on the counter and retrieved a fork from a drawer.
“Oh, no no. It's okay, you have it. I already ate your curry yesterday…”
He chuckled softly.
“I don't mind, y’know? Plus I'd already eaten dinner by the time you showed up.” He pushed the container towards you a small amount and you quickly pushed it back.
“N-No, really, you eat. I'll have something quick before class.”
He smiled and nodded before finally digging into the eggs. You took a good look at his face, more or less the same as yesterday; soft hair falling effortlessly over his forehead, thick black glasses sat low on his nose, with the addition of his skin seeming glossier than yesterday and you suddenly wondered if he had a morning skin care routine or something. “That would explain why he's so…beautiful…”
You thought, turning away and looking down as you fidgeted with the hem of your shirt. He was the same as yesterday, but with a certain ‘morning’ charm to him, not to mention the extra roughness his already deep voice had taken on that you were trying so desperately to ignore since the moment he'd opened his mouth to greet you a few minutes ago.
“So,” He suddenly snapped you out of your trance and you looked back over to him just in time to see his eyes trail down to your legs and back up to your face in a way that made your heart stutter, “was it comfortable sleeping in jeans?” He said with a slight chuckle. You felt a slight warmth enter your face as you remembered your whole inner conflict from last night.
“O-Oh, I didn't…sleep in these…”
He looked slightly confused for a moment before smirking.
“Did you really sleep in that business-y pencil skirt that I'm assuming was your work uniform?” He shovelled another bite of egg into his mouth, keeping his eyes on you as your face only grew redder.
“N-No…”
He chewed slowly and you could practically see the thoughts in his head trying to put things together.
“...Do you…carry spare clothes with you…?”
You shook your head before burying your face in your hands. You couldn't see his face but you could easily hear the fluster in his voice as it clicked in his head.
“...Oh…f-forget I asked…”
You felt so embarrassed. You were sure he thought you were a weirdo for treating his bed like it was yours. Either that or incredibly naive and innocent. “...Totally just ruined my chances-…”
You blushed even harder, something you didn't even think was possible.
“...Why did I think that…? I just met this guy!”
Your brain felt like a battlezone as you took a deep breath in and out before sliding your hands off of your face, only to turn and see his face also littered with a splotchy redness that you couldn't deny was so cute.
Luckily your phone that you had placed in your jean pocket vibrated, breaking the awkward silence that felt like a crushing weight that you couldn't hold for much longer. You quickly fished it out, seeing a text from your roommate reading:
“I’m home and I brought breakfast if you want.”
You sighed and quickly typed a response before slipping your phone back in your pocket.
“I should go. My roommate just got home.”
You smiled shyly as he finished up his food and pushed the container to the side before clearing his throat.
“O-Oh, y-yeah yeah…of course…”
The air still felt awkward and tense, like there were words between the two of you going unsaid, either one of you too afraid to speak them aloud.
“I'll...just grab my stuff.”
He nodded and you walked back to his room to grab your bag, feeling a weird pressure in your chest that you couldn’t quite place.
You hauled the bag back to where he was now standing by the door, ready to see you out. You slowed to a stop in front of him, looking down at the floor and fidgeting with the strap of your bag.
“So…um…thanks. For everything.”
You looked up at him with a soft shy smile and he turned away as soon as you made eye contact, his ears quickly beginning to burn up.
“O-Of course! I-I couldn't just leave you out there…”
You giggled softly and he turned back, chuckling along and scratching the back of his neck shyly.
“Hey…if you ever need a place to stay again for…whatever reason…I'll always welcome you here.”
Your smile grew at his words.
“Thank you, Minjae…” You said quietly, your eyes taking in his pretty features as you felt your hand almost unconsciously grab your phone from your pocket.
“If it's okay…can I get your number?” You felt the blush return to your cheeks again as his eyes slowly widened. “J-Just in case…” You quickly stuttered out as if trying to soften the flirty tension your own words created.
He nodded and carefully took your phone into his hands, you having opened up your contacts so he could add his in.
“...Just in case…” He repeated in almost a whisper, fighting a smile pulling at his lips.
After a few quiet seconds of him tapping at your phone screen, he handed it back, and you just stared for a moment at the contact screen reading 'Minjae', the sight making you smile for some reason.
“Well…” you put your phone back in your pocket and smiled at him, “I should get going…”
You slowly turned and opened the door, stepping into the much colder hallway compared to the warmth of standing next to him.
“S-See you lat-”
“W-Wait!” His hand suddenly came around and grasped the edge of the door just as you began closing it, pulling it back open enough for him to look you in the eyes. You just gazed up at him, wide eyed from being so caught off guard.
“...Are you…d-do you…” he stuttered and you blinked nervously, waiting for him to continue.
“D-Do you have a boyfriend?” When he finally got the words out, you felt your breath catch and your heart almost stop. You couldn't fight the immense heat immediately taking over your face, but you felt comfortable in knowing that his looked just about as red as yours.
The light that entered his eyes as you shook your head made you melt with how endearing he seemed, a wide smile he couldn't hide quickly overtaking his features.
“O-oh! W-Well…g-good to know!” He exclaimed almost a little too loudly, forcing you to stifle a giggle. “I-I'll see you later then, y/n…”
You nodded with a smile and he pushed the door closed, leaving you in a sort of daze in the hallway, staring a hole into his door.
“Uh…earth to y/n?” You were startled by a sudden voice behind you and turned to see your roommate poking her head out of your dorm room. “Woah, dude, are you okay? Your face is super red.”
You felt embarrassed and shy, but all of that was overtaken by the unfiltered joy and excitement overtaking your heart and mind.
“Mhmm…I'm awesome…”
Having read/reread Somnium this past week/two-ish... I have some theories about Wyatt.
Every character we create has a bit of us, our experiences, and our biases. On that same note, I think every persona Wyatt has projected contained a bit of truth, but also a fair bit of fabrication. Of all the characters in Somnium, I think he had the worst childhood. It's really a miracle he's alive and not completely batshit crazy. And it's understandable why he learned to shut down emotions from a tiny age.
But Wyatt is AND isn't who we've seen. That nerdy, awkward doofus Courtney got to know, there a bit of truth there. But he exaggerated it for her. The absolute psycho that everyone shied away from... There's a bit of truth there, but I think also a fair amount of embellishment. If you're gonna be surrounded by homicidal thugs, then by all means, be the craziest one in the room. The one person that everyone is wary of. When he had his years alone in Mt. Komo (aka his purgatory), it was the first time his survival didn't depend on acting FOR someone else. He could just BE.
Wyatt says he isn't wired right and that he's emotionally faulty. But is he really as bad off as he thinks or is that what he's always been told? Obviously empathy is not his strong suit, but we've seen him: jealous/envious (others' relationships), selfless (letting Darien & Brynn go), appreciative (Oscar's help), petrified (to the point of throwing up), kind (to Ichiro, Mayo, and Brynn), and managed to (while sweating) mumble an ILY. All of which are normal emotions. He tried to make amends where he could. He adopted a cat ffs. A street cat that now has the poshest looking cat bed I've seen lol And the last time he choked someone was out of passion and (somewhat righteous) anger, not emotionless calculation.
I think who Wyatt was (and thought he was) is fading away, however damaged his past left him. I don't think he'll ever be a soft guy/touch to the world at large. Only a select few will be privy to that side if him. But I think his true nature is finally being revealed. Or am I reading him wrong? Enlighten me, Becca!
Ohhh you've read him remarkably well indeed! I truly love Wyatt's character, he's so complex and he really did have a nasty childhood.. on the surface I'm sure it looked like he had everything he ever wanted, but that's faaar from the truth.
I think he's only just realised that he's not actually a psychopath at all, he just kinda learnt how to be one as a coping mechanism when he was very young, so young that it almost seemed like reality in the end, even to other people! (There's a reason it seemed so genuine ⚆_⚆) I suppose in a way he lied to himself for so long it became reality. Ask Bruno.. he's still convinced he's a psycho! 😅
I rlly think smth shifted the moment he became suspicious of Oscar tho, and whilst at first he was intent on protecting the "family" and doing the "right" thing, the more he thought about it, the more he realised how done he was. No one listened to him, no one respected him, but he knew he was right! It was like he realised he'd never progressed from being a small child, pushed out of the way and ignored, even when they're begging to tell you something important! Arturo wasn't interested, so instead.. he had to pay. Wyatt didn't want to be loyal to him anymore! At the time, he didn't help Oscar n' co. just to do the right thing, he wanted to fuck his father over more than anything, so.. still pretty self-serving in a way but he's had a loooot of time to think since then and it's been so intriguing watching the slow shift in his mindset.
He's everything he's ever been, pretended to be and everything he never was, all bundled up into a ball that he buried deep inside; only when he was free did it all start to unravel.
I adore the examples of humanity you've picked up on tho, all those tiny hints we got that maybe he's not completely devoid of emotion after all... He's still Wyatt, but he's also Kaito too.. he's intelligent, he CAN be kind - to the right people, tho he definitely struggles with empathy - he's jealous, possessive, ambitious, confident, not confident at all 😆 he doesn't know, actually.. maybe we should check back in on him in a little while lmao
Hurray for the truly grey man!
Also.. I kinda started putting together a lil timeline of posts/moments that I thought were pivotal to his slow lil journey but this is long af as is so I'll work on that and post it separately 👀
I'm sorry but I love this woman, can I ask for a Liane Cartman concept please?
I mean, I've done a concept for Randy... it's only fair. This is also not the first time I've been requested to write mother characters so I'll see what I can do for you ^^
I'm pretty sure I'm like the only one who's written for the parents.
Yandere! Liane Cartman Concept
Ft. Yandere! Platonic! Eric Cartman
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic (Liane)/Platonic (Eric)
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Forced family dynamic, Eric tries to play matchmaker when he shouldn't, Liane is a very subtle yandere, Manipulation, Implied attempted intimacy, Dubious relationship, Drugging, Abduction.
Tumblr media
Oh, Liane is a sweet woman.
She's a single mother who parents Eric Cartman alone.
Liane is good-natured, kind, and wants to help people when she can.
She's skilled in cooking and baking along with hosting parties.
Although she used to do drugs and can be... promiscuous.
Liane could have her darling be a family friend that helped her take care of Eric when he was younger.
Eric is a handful... obviously.
So having help take care of him makes Liane grateful towards you.
The woman most likely has known you for years.
You're essentially partnering with her to take care of Eric.
To the point of Eric taking notice of you in his childhood.
He doesn't have a dad... but his mom always has this friend who comes over to help take care of him.
As a result you may get Eric to grow close to you also....
Liane likes the company you provide when you come over.
It makes her even happier when Eric comes running down the stairs to see you.
Eric may see you as a parental figure since you're around so often.
Liane comes of as a clingy friend at first, regardless on if she actually has romantic feelings for you.
She invites you over often and talks to you for hours.
You'll even be given food she made herself, anything for you, right?
Can you blame Eric for being confused when he sees you and his mom so friendly?
His mom really likes you... more than the other partners she's had.
This feels genuine when he sees you talk for hours.
Liane may be a platonic yandere at this point, but what Eric does could shift things over.
Eric makes plans to keep you in the family because he likes you as his parent.
You can't leave if you and his mom start dating, right?
It makes sense! You've already been parenting him!
So he puts together his master plan.
Eric would probably try to convince his mother that you are in love with her.
You heard that folks, Eric makes his mom a yandere.
"Mom... I think (Y/N) likes you a lot."
He does things like mention it in conversation when you aren't around.
"Well of course, we've been friends for years, Eric-"
"I mean like... MORE than friends, y'know? I think they love you!"
"Oh...?"
That alone may not work so Eric makes gifts in your name.
He gets flowers and presents in your name and leaves them on the porch.
He even tried to set up a romantic bedroom kind of thing, throwing rose petals around the room and placing an... intimate gift supposedly from you on the bed before running off.
He's masterminding this whole obsession to benefit himself.
All this work has the potential to shift Liane's feelings.
After all... she's under the impression you've been sending her all these hints.
The bedroom gift solidified it for her.
Liane never thought of you in such a way...
But if you really do feel like that... she'll try it.
You're going to notice Liane is a lot more flirty with you when you come over now.
Eric himself also seems suspicious, watching you two just out of view.
The Cartman family feels weird all of a sudden.
Liane starts baking and cooking for you more.
She claims she's making your favorites and is oddly touchy.
You have mixed feelings about all of this.
Even more so when Eric calls you his new mother/father.
Liane and Eric's behavior gets strange.
You end up finding out too late when you eat Liane's cooking one day and feel tired.
The last thing you see is the two smiling at you before you pass out...
You'll enjoy your new life at their home.
Hii!
This is probably going to be a long ask I'm sorry 😭
I got into Undertale and the AUs when I was like nine I think and I'm like thirteen now and sans aus have been such a huge comfort to me!
I discovered your tiktok account around a year ago and you inspired me so much immediately! Your characters were so cool - Smudge was the first one I saw.
Sadly I stopped watching your account for a long time because I deleted my tiktok account but I remembered you a couple of weeks ago and was like GAHH I HAVE TO FOLLOW PIXIE!
I have been at a low - girl I'm like Ink, I have such a fear of being forgotten- I want to make an impact in this fandom and I thought I couldn't but then I was like 'wait...' and you've given me inspiration to make a blog called askbittersweet!
Maybe I won't get asks, but you gave me the inspiration and confidence to and you're just so important to me!
this was supposed to sound so much cooler but my words failed.....
also your art style is so pleasing lol! I had a lucid dream where I had your artstyle it was kinda weird but it was cool n stuff (jeez lousus i'm bad at talking)
I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY AND NIGHT AND WEEK AND YEAR YOU'RE SO COOL <333333
Awww thank you!! I got into the Undertale AUs when I was about 11/12 and now I'm turning 19 in a few hours, so I definitely relate to that sense of comfort!
And thank you for your support. :3 I've been working every day to give everyone content they can like. I love this community and honestly it's my honour to be giving everyone content that they enjoyed. Secret be told, I didn't think anyone would like my work considering my writing isn't all fluff and sunshine, but I was completely blown out of the water with support and love from such amazing individuals. I've met and made friends with so many amazing individuals, each fan interaction I have makes my absolute week because there is nothing I love more than cooking up content.
I wish you luck on your own content journey! As long as you have a passion for what you do? There is only one way for you to go and that's up. Since I'm feeling nice today, I'll give you a few tips ٩( ᐛ )و
★ Use what's trending to your advantage -
Tik tok, Tumblr, Twitter/X all follow an algorithm of sorts, if you see bunch of videos following the same pattern... Take the leap! Make sure to add your own spin on it, not only will that help you stand out but copying others makes a story so bland, bleh!
★ Be brave, be confident -
I know putting yourself out there can be scary, it's literally throwing yourself on a stage and slowly building an audience hoping you'll attract your kind of people. But you'll never get anywhere if you stand around timidly and be too scared of that attention. Sell yourself, be brave, what makes you different from everyone else? What makes you special? What makes your amazing work so amazing? What can you do to bring something different to this multi verse?
(For me? I can bring adorable characters with a horror aspect, but what makes me different? There's no one quite like our lovely princess Smudge, is there?)
★ Don't be afraid of interacting with people but withstand your boundaries.
Unless those people are total dickwads and have no life, making interactions with people is a great place to start. You'll build a solid support system, people who aren't just interested in your stories but genuinely want to see you thrive! Little side note- don't let people stand on you either. I've had many a time where people thought they could push my boundaries and got kicked to the curb. Don't be a door mat, how will anyone respect your characters if they don't respect their creator?
★ Last but certainly not least - believe in yourself!
Okay, this one is a little corny and I know what you're probably thinking. 'But Pixie, I have low self confidence and esteem. Being confident doesn't come naturally.' And I'm super sorry to hear that. You're a wonderful person with flaws, but those flaws don't undermind your best traits one bit. If you don't believe in it, believe in us to believe in you. Would there be hundreds of people lying to your face? Really? No. There would be some merit behind their words, right? I faked it till I made it. Now? I have the ability to trust my own talent. I find love in my work and in my characters. I can only hope you do too, you can do amazing things if you set your mind to it. That's something I live by.
AND YOU'RE JUST AS COOL! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR IDEAS AND WORK!! THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS, YOU CAN DO IT!!!
hey hey! i’m doing good too <3
i had to take a moment before sending another ask because i literally lock my phone mid reading last chapter SO GOOD i can’t believe yuna would do that wow my jaw? on the floor, i kinda feel bad for all of them, she had no business being like that especially to mc like girl you could keep up with your princess life because of her !!!
and i had to unleash my inner detective pikachu on this because all of it looks so premeditated, i’m even more suspicious of sunoo now(thks for the reminder about his dad) the way anon gave jay the dirt on yuna just in case and how he was the one to let mc know about yuna’s intentions instead of her herself being the drama queen she is???? also for me it solidified that anon knows KNOWS jay, here i’m gonna defend my baby cause jake did him so dirty(understandable), although i think he is low key getting a bit lost in the glitz and shimmer of yale i genuinely think he is a really nice guy who is getting too involved in their life, especially sunghoon, heeseung and mc’s(of course), i don’t really think his expose was the worst one of all of them, he could easily sweet talk the members but that was not the case for gigi or y/n, i think he genuinely wanted to help them because he understands them a lil better now and that info would simply do just that, anon definitely sees right through him and knows his nature, give him the dirt, push the right bottoms and he would do it without question, oh and who that might be? sunoo. i rest my case 🕵🏻‍♀️
anyway, i love me some good mistery i can’t wait to see whats next ♥️ i hope you’re having a good day/night darling 🫶🏻
-🪩 anon(it suited me better hehe)
i've added you as 🪩 anon !! <3 NICE CHOICE i adore the disco ball
AHH i'm so glad you liked chapter 28 !! :') it was a BOLD move on her part considering the people she's talking shit about definitely have a lot more power than her 😭 honestly if yeonjun had a completely different characterization i think i would feel the worst for him lowkey because why do your followers know about my std now 🚶‍♀️ and seriously ,, mc has helped her for three years too long 🧎‍♀️
DETECTIVE PIKACHU LMSODFH and i think people have been guessing sunoo too!! it's definitely suspicious that he was just spilling about yuna 👁️ and jay is definitely lost in the glitz and glam of their life rn :') not in the traditional way one would expect i guess but he's very much caught up in their problems instead of focusing on what he's been sent there to do 🤧 (no complaints about that tho ! go jay/n!!!!) but very intriguing theory 🪩 anon i look forward to what you think as the plot develops 🥰
and i've been doing great tysm !! 🫶🫶 i hope you're doing well & taking care of yourself <3
Wanda Maximoff ~ Fake It Till You Make It
Tumblr media
Wanda version of this fic as requested by @yeetus-thyself
7.7k words
Warnings: shitty family and homophobia
[ masterlist ]
Buy me a coffee ☕
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Pleeaasse, Wan" You pouted once again. You had been begging Wanda for the favour for an hour now; her stubborness was proving hard to overcome.
"I'm busy." Wanda said, her accent strong as she walked around her appartment to collect things for her next mission.
"But will you be busy on the 10th?" You asked from the couch where you watched her disappear into various rooms as she talked.
"I thought you said it was a few days." Wanda quipped, seemingly only giving you half her attention.
"It is." You confirmed with some hope.
"So I'd need to clear my schedule for more than just the 10th." You huffed and rested your head on the back of couch.
"Yes you would. I'm sure Natasha can manage without you for a few days."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that." She muttered.
"Please, Wan." You tried. "I need a win." Wanda stopped by the kitchen counter and gave you a long, considering look. You had long given up on your puppy dog eyes and instead copied her expression as you chewed on your bottom lip.
"I'll think about it." Wanda finally said before grabbing something from the cupboard. It was the best response you had gotten all night and you knew you wouldn't get anything more. So you accepted it and hoped for the best.
Your parents had invited you to their cabin for a few days just like they did every year. It was a beautiful place. You could spend your whole visit in the forest along the back. Or swimming in the clear lake that was a short walk away. The cabin itself was the cosiest place you had ever been and had been where some of your best memories had happened as a kid.
As you got older things changed. Being around your family, especially your parents, wasn't as enjoyable. They had high expectations for their children, expectations that your siblings had met without a problem but ones that you had struggled with. You enjoyed your life. You had the kind of relationships you had always hoped for, you loved your job and you had the perfect balance of the two. But you could never shake the feeling that you had failed.
Your brother was a surgeon who always told you all stories of the lives he saved and the close calls he had swooped in to save people from. One of your sisters was some hot shot lawyer who had done great things like help people wrongly convicted but still put dangerous people back on the street. And your other sister was the CEO of an energy company that you never quite understood. They even all had equally successful partners who loved to talk about themselves as much as your siblings did. You didn't have any of that. But you did have Wanda.
Knowing the Avengers was the only thing about you your family took interest in. They were always subtly hinting at wanting to meet your friends. But you knew the Avengers had to endure enough fan service and didn't want to push your family onto them, especially with how annoying they all were.
However as your family's unrealistic expectations reached their all time high you were sure you wouldn't be able to handle another trip with them without a win, and you were far too petty to take the moral high ground and just not go. Not to mention that was a huge part of you that was dying to see what the Wanda girlfriend experience would entail. Yep, that was what you were asking of Wanda. To pretend to be your partner for the duration of the trip.
You knew it wasn't a smart choice. That if Wanda agreed your crush on her could get out of hand. You knew you would end up getting too caught up in the act. You could have, no - should have - asked Natasha or Yelena or even Carol if she was around. But your family knew you were the closest with Wanda and she would be the one it felt the most natural with, and the most believable. At least, that was what you told Wanda.
"When are you going?" You asked, changing the subject in hopes that Wanda wouldn't suddenly conclude she didn't want to do it (then you really would have to ask one of the others).
"Tomorrow." She answered, keeping her focused tone.
"When will you be back?" You attempted to keep the concern out of your voice but the glance the redhead gave you told you you hadn't done a good job.
"The day after." She said, softer this time. You nodded as you looked down at your lap and tried not to think about everything that could possibly go wrong on her mission.
"Be safe." Wanda strolled over to you and placed her hand gently ontop of yours and gave it a quick squeeze.
"Always."
*
"Got any plans Saturday night?" Natasha smirked knowingly at her friend as they preped for their mission.
"No." Wanda replied as she adjusted her earpiece.
"Nothing with y/n then?" Nat asked, partly genuinely but mostly knowing Wanda would still say no.
"Nope." She said again, biting the inside of her cheek in consideration before speaking again. "Not this Saturday."
Natasha raised an eyebrow in surprise and interest. Wanda rarely made any kind of special plans with you as you would always hang out casual and it was never anything fancy or different. She had always wanted to though.
"Plans for another time?" Nat continued as she double checked her pack.
"Maybe, I'm still thinking about it." The redhead turned fully to her friend at her words, confused at why Wanda was hesitant to spend time with you. "She wants me to go to the cabin with her and her family." Nat had heard all about the infamous cabin and your family.
"That sounds fun." Nat nodded. The cabin sounded fun. Your family did not.
"As her girlfriend." Nat's eyes widened excitedly but before she could speak Wanda clarified. "Her pretend girlfriend."
Nat paused and looked as though she was going to speak for several seconds until she stuck to just giving a confused look.
"Yeah." Wanda sighed. "Thinks it would seem impressive." Wanda had tried not to be hurt over that. She knew you weren't just friends with her to show her off to people, because you never did. But it hurt her to think the only time you could see her in a romantic way was when you were pretending.
"Well," Nat muttered as she adjusted the zip along the front of her catsuit. "Fake it till you make it." It was Wanda's turn to give Nat a questioning look. "Maybe it'll be an eye opener for her."
"You think I should do it?" She asked, fully open to hearing and accepting her friend and mentor's advice in that area.
"Definelty." Nat confirmed. She wasn't sure about it for the reasons she said though. Wanda's crush on you was obvious to everyone except you, just as it was vice versa.
*
You had been overjoyed when Wanda told you she would come with you to the cabin and play along as your girlfriend. She had told you when she came back from her mission, in fact it was the first thing she said after she had let herself into your appartment. It was never really brought up after that, but you couldn't deny you were incredibly anxious on the week leading up to the visit.
On the drive up to the cabin you and Wanda stayed in a comfortable silence most of the time, clearly both lost in thought. You had the radio on for background noise more than anything else, but you would occasionally lightly tap the steering wheel if there was a tune you recognised, oblivious to Wanda's acknowledging smiles.
"So what's the plan?" Wanda asked as she looked at you expectantly. Right, of course the Avenger wanted a strategy.
"Keep things simple, I guess. They know how we met already so we can just say at some point we took things a step further than friendship." Wanda didn't seem convinced at the simplicity of that. "Look they're not going to want to hear about us, not much at least. They prefer the sound of their own voices, they'll be trying to impress you is all."
"Impress me?" Wanda asked.
"Yeah, hope you warm up to them so one day they can invite you to their snobby parties." Wanda chuckled her heart warming laugh as she glanced out of the window, knowing there was a lot of truth to what you said.
"And what are those like?" She enquired curiously.
"I wouldn't know, I've never been invited." You said simply. You had gotten over that a long time ago, gotten used to being forgotten. Wanda clearly hadn't though.
"It will be an honour to turn them down." Wanda said. You shook your head and smiled at her. That did sound pretty nice.
When the cabin came into sight between the trees your nerves spiked. You figited in your seat and bit your lip when you saw some of your family gathered outside, their attention instantly on you. You shot Wanda a quick smile which she returned before you got out of the car.
"Y/n! So nice of you to come." You mum said as her eyes flickered to Wanda more than you. She opened her arms for the shortiest hug in human history before turning to Wanda. "You must be Wanda, we've heard so much." You mum insisted as she brought the redhead in for a hug too. She raised her eyebrows at you over your mum's shoulder and you bite back a laugh.
The others came over to greet you and mainly Wanda in a rush, overwhelming both of you.
"You two will be in the upstairs bedroom on the left." Your mum told you as you went to grab your bags. You did a double take, convinced you had heard her wrong. That was the best room in the house. A big difference from being in the small room in the basement every other time you had been there.
"First one on the left." Your dad confirmed. There was no way your parents were going to be in the basement so you wondered who else had been moved around but didn't ask, knowing whoever it was wasn't going to be happy.
You and Wanda made your way up to the room and you couldn't help but smile at the sight of the spacious room and the door you knew led to your en suite.
"That was...a lot." Wanda summarised as she said her bag under the bed.
"I would tell you it gets better but I don't want to get your hopes up." You sighed as you got a couple of things out.
"It's just a few days." Wanda said despite the fact you should have been assuring her.
"Yeah." You nodded and stared down at the floor. "Now c'mon." You suddenly said as you took ahold of Wanda's hand and laced your fingers together. You missed the startled blush that crept onto her cheeks when you turned around.
Your family were sat outside whispering amongst themselves when you returned. Their interested gaze fell to your entwined hands in an instant.
"So you work with the Avengers?" Your brother, Dalton, said as soon as you both sat down.
"I do, I'm one myself." Wanda said as she continued to hold onto your hand.
"Must be crazy, what are they like?" He enquired.
"They're good." Wanda said simply. Everyone clearly expected something more but Wanda pretended not to notice making you smile.
"I almost did business with Stark once, decided against it in the end." Claire announced proudly. You and Wanda exchanged knowing glances. Stark had told you all about his encounter with your sister, it definetly wasn't her turning him down.
"I was invited to one of his parties." Anna said quickly. "I was busy that night unfortunately."
Bull. Shit.
"Yes I remember working with Doctor Strange when he was still in the medical profession." You gave Wanda an I-told-you-so look as your family erupted into conversation over who had the most contact with the heroes. That had to be a new record of how quickly they started talking about themselves.
They continued like that until your mum called everyone in for dinner. The food smelt undeniably amazing as you took your place at the table next to Wanda and eyed the dishes infront of you. Your parents efforts to impress the redhead weren't all that bad.
Your family continued to catch up and and you and Wanda half listened as you ate. They were all doing as well for themselves as ever and still hadn't learnt any modesty.
Although you were proud of your siblings for what they had all achieved, Wanda had contained four potentially devastating bombs from going off in the space of half an hour a week before but she wasn't going to bring that up anytime soon. Eventually though, the attention turned to you to bring you out of your silence.
"And you're still working in that little café, y/n?" Your mum asked curiously.
"I own it, mum." You corrected quietly as you stabbed some pieces on your plate.
"Ah yes, quite the contrast though, isn't it. Between you two." She said as she pointed at you and Wanda with her fork. You didn't say anything to that because you felt there really wasn't anything to say in response. It wasn't like you hadn't thought that exact thing every now and then.
"The team loves it." Wanda said suddenly making everyone, including you, look at her in slight surprise from speaking up. It hadn't taken your family long to learn Wabda wasn't much of a talker, not to them anyway. You couldn't get her to shut up half the time. "At least one of us goes everyday. If we're lucky we all can. Nothing beats it." She defended simply before turning back to her food to show she wasn't going to say anymore. You smiled down at your plate at her words and the truth of them.
No one said anything in response, clearly shocked from this new information until Dalton spoke up.
"But doesn't Stark like fancy, top of the line, restaurants? I can't imagine him in some random coffee shop, no offence sis." He nodded towards you though you knew he didn't mean it. He couldn't let you have just one win.
"That random coffee shop has catered some of Stark's parties. Not that many though." A smug smile crept onto Dalton's face as he opened his mouth to make a snarky remark but Wanda cut him down again. "Because y/n's invited to the rest as a guest and a close friend." Your family stared at you with open mouths.
"You've been invited to Stark's parties?!" Anna exclaimed. In your defence, your family never wanted to hear about your life so you never got the chance to tell them anything.
"It's not really my crowd." You shrugged. "I just go to hang out with them after." Dalton's jaw clenched in annoyance and he didn't say anything for the rest of dinner. It was only really your mum who kept talking. Telling everyone about her latest travels that fell on death ears.
It was certainly a first for your family.
When everyone had finished their food you and Wanda excused yourselves and said goodnight before retiring to your room. Wanda shut the door gently as you collapsed onto the bed on your back and glared at the ceiling. The redhead shuffled around quietly to get her toothbrush and toothpaste and some other things you weren't really paying attention to and went into the bathroom.
When she came back out she was in her bedclothes and lifted your feet off the floor to turn you so you could fully lay on the bed. You smiled at her weakly.
"You should go get changed." Wanda said as she got her laptop out her bag. "Then you can pick a movie." She announced when she had gotten under the covers and started her laptop. You smiled more and nodded.
You tried not to think about your family and everything they had said at dinner as you got changed but it proved difficult. Everything they had said echoed around in your head but most of all you couldn't shake the disregarding ways they said it. It was as though you could do no right with them. Maybe they would never be proud no matter what you did.
You placed your toothbrush back I'm the holder and rinsed your mouth before heading back into the bedroom to an awaiting Wanda.
You got under the covers next to her and rested your head on her shoulder as you glanced at the Netflix screen and pointed to one of the comedy movies.
About ten minutes into the movie Wanda spoke. "You okay?" She whispered as she continued to look at the screen although that wasn't where her focus was.
"Yeah." You whispered back.
"You can talk to me." She said after a second." You moved your head away so you could see Wanda clearly.
"I'm so glad you're here." You said honestly. She smiled and nodded as her eyes searched yours.
"I'm glad I'm here too." You knew Wanda wasn't glad she had to spend the time with your family. She was glad that she could support you despite their efforts to bring you down. You were incredibly lucky to have her.
You rested your head back on her shoulder and neither of you spoke for the rest of the movie. Or the rest of the night. You must have fallen asleep about half an hour in.
*
Wanda was one of the most intimate people you had ever met. It was mainly something she aimed towards you and Natasha but didn't refrain from comforting others and giving hugs to anyone who would take one. She never held back at all with you, as far as you knew. But when you woke up and couldn't tell where your limbs started and Wanda's ended, you were still surprised to find yourselves like that. Butterflies flew around in your stomach in a way you knew was dangerous but couldn't help but love.
You were resting your head on her rising chest and had your arm slung across her stomach. Your legs were tangled together and her arms were holding onto your waist. A warmth spread through you and you decided to settle back into her hold and closed your eyes with a content smile.
You had about ten minutes to enjoy that before Wanda woke up. You could feel the moment she realized you were so close, she physically froze. You waited in anticipation for something for several moments until your friend very slowly unhooked her legs and guided your body to lay against the mattress and pillows as she slipped out of bed towards the bathroom.
You sighed when you heard the door close and rubbed your eyes slowly, knowing you should get up but wishing more than anything that you could return to how you woke up.
"Morning." Wanda croaked when she left the bathroom and saw you sitting up in bed.
"Morning." You said back with a smile and tried not to focus on how ridiculously attractive her voice sounded.
You gathered some random clothes into a bundle and went into the bathroom to change again and brush your teeth. When you came out Wanda was pulling her shirt over her head and gave you a generous view of her toned stomach. That training with Natasha really was paying off. Your face heated up when you saw it and you turned away to pretend you hadn't seen when Wanda noticed you.
"Don't make a sound." Wanda warned. You glanced up at her with some confusion. "I don't think your family's awake yet, that means we get the kitchen to ourselves." She grinned and you did too.
You and Wanda had gotten so used to getting up early for your jobs you forgot other people would still be sleeping. It was hard to break out of the habit but it proved useful.
The pair of you made a quick breakfast and ate it outside thanks to the warm weather even at that time. But soon enough your parents came downstairs and ruined the peaceful atmosphere with the clanging of pots and loud convosations.
You wandered around the side of the house and saw the old table tennis table that bad been folded away years ago and hadn't been set up since. You went over and started setting it up when Wanda joined you and eyed the table with a glimmer of mischief.
The redhead wasn't all that competitive, in fact you were pretty sure she let other people win games on the regular to make them feel better about themselves. But there was an undeniable spark of mischief in her eyes when she saw the table.
"You played this before?" You asked convosationally.
"I have." She said as you both automatically took up your positions of opposite ends of the table.
"Me too." You said confidently. "A lot." Wanda hummed in acknowledgment and swivelled her bat in her hand and stood ready. You smiled at her seriousness for the game.
You served surprisingly well for someone who hadn't played in a few years and Wanda was able to hit it back with ease. Once you had developed a steady pace you started hitting the ball more daringly to Wanda who was caught off guard before she started doing the same.
The moment you missed the ball a small smile tugged at the corner of Wanda's lips, her celebration was short lived when you suddenly sent the ball back her way until it was too late.
"That wasn't fair!" She exclaimed childishly.
"That was tables tennis." You said seriously but started smiling again.
Wanda huffed dramatically and flipped you off as she trudged back to the table and served the ball with force. You managed to send it back but took a step away from the table in caution.
You continued like that for a while. The competition tension rising as you picked up the pace, one of you occasionally getting a point before the other evened it out.
At one point you were vaguely aware of Dalton sauntering over to see what you were doing and arched his brow at the sight of the table.
"We still have this thing?" He questioned and you hummed quietly in response, too focused on the game.
"Hey Claire! Get over here, we're playing table tennis." You rolled your eyes at the intrusive and could sense Wanda refraining from doing the same until an idea popped into your head.
You caught the ball in your hand and smiled at Wanda's protests as you moved round to her side of the table just as your sister came out.
"I didn't even know we still had this." Claire laughed as she picked up another bat from the box.
"Maybe we should take it back with us." Wanda whispered to you and you bit your lip to contain your smile because yes, yes you should.
Inevitably, your siblings sucked at table tennis. You had suspected as much you just never thought they would be as bad as they were. They missed almost every hit and everytime they did they got increasingly angry, which meant they ended up flaring their arms around like idiots. It was a memory you would be sure to treasure.
"Stupid game" and "probably broken" kept echoing across the table until your siblings finally stormed off to throw a tantrum.
The rest of the day went by quietly. You and Wanda sat by the lake for most of the afternoon to enjoy the sun and heat. You reveled in the most recent memories of your siblings embarrassment and had to keep hushing down to childish whispered whenever one of them was nearby.
Surprisingly, dinner went by peacefully too.
You weren't asked anymore questions at the table. Instead, your family were content with talking about their upcoming plans between stealing glances at you and Wanda that the redhead never failed to notice.
The pair of you slipped off to your room the first moment you got and easily fell into bed besides one another. Wanda picked out a DVD from her bag of an old Sokovian show she used to watch as a child and had you hooked on as well as teaching you the language.
She settled down beside you and within the first few scenes she wrapped an arm around your shoulder so you could sink into her further like she did sometimes when you watched things together. You were barely paying attention to the series after that.
Despite trying to keep your focus on understanding what was happening in scenes of the show, you couldn't help but want to melt under the warmth of your best friend. You hoped it was something you got to experience more, you felt safer than you ever had in Wanda's arms.
Little did you know that having you in her arms was the most comforting feeling Wanda ever experienced and she always tried to do it as little as possible to refrain from falling for you more. It never worked.
*
You had thought waking up in Wanda's arms the morning before had been the best thing to awake to. But that day when you woke up not only were your legs tangled together again but the redhead was slowly stroking your hair while your head rested on her chest.
It was a gradual gesture that maintained a perfect rhythm and made you want to fall back asleep. But you were afraid you would mistake it for a dream later on. No, it was definitely real.
Luckily, your head was already tilted upwards slightly so when you secretly opened your eyes to risk a peek at your friend you saw her staring out the window as though she was in a trance. She was clearly so deep in thought she hadn't noticed you wake up, you had never seen her like it. But the feeling was too good to ignore, too compelling.
Soon enough, you found yourself drifting off back to sleep.
*
When you woke up again Wanda was gone. Her absence left an emptiness you knew wasn't good for you. As the days of your visit went on your fake relationship with Wanda was going to effect you even more when it was over.
Over...you couldn't think about that.
Once you got up and got changed you found Wanda in the kitchen looking at the news on her phone as she sipped her coffee.
"Morning, honey." You grinned. Wanda blushed slightly into her coffee, something you thought was undeniably adorable.
"Morning yourself." She tried to play off smoothly making you grin more.
You made breakfast for you both just as your mum came into the kitchen and greeted you both with an overplayed smile, already talking to Wanda about an upcoming party that she should go to. Wanda mumbled something about a busy schedule as you managed to whisp her away outside with your food.
Eventually, you and Wanda became bored with sitting around in the house when you had such amazing surroundings on your doorstep. You declared that you were going on a walk with the redhead and left before any of your family could invite themselves to go with you. Especially as you had told your friend to wear her swimwear underneath her clothing as you had a surprise for her.
You made a point of holding Wanda's hand as you left and once you were far away from the house went to take it back only for her to hold on tighter.
"You never know where they could be lurking." She joked as an excuse, so you starting swinging your arms playfully as to assure her you wanted your hands to stay linked together too.
You spent hours in those woods and was thankful for having a spy best friend who of course knew to pack the essentials like food and drinks so you could stay away from the house as long as you wanted.
The redhead brought so much you were able to have a small picnic on top of a hill that overlooked the large lake that stretched out all the way back to the house. You remembered thinking up stories as to explain the strange shape and curves to it as a child.
"It's beautiful here." Wanda said as she picked some grapes from the bunch between you.
"It is." You agreed with a fond smile.
"I used to want to live in a place like this." She muttered, sparking your interest.
"In the woods?" You asked curiously and she nodded.
"I thought I could retire to the woods and get a small cabin and I could grow my own food and that was all I needed." You hummed with a smile as you studied Wanda's features.
"Sounds lonely." You thought aloud.
"I'd have a cat." She said simply making you laugh. "I never used to think that but now when it crosses my mind and I picture that life... I picture someone else there with me." You knew she was imagining it as she spoke and you wished you could see exactly what it was she wanted.
"We could always downgrade the holiday house." You half joked as you nodded in the vague direction of the house. "Make it a simple cabin."
"We?" Wanda asked hopefully, the emotion clear before she had a chance to conceal it.
"There's no one I'd rather run away and live in the forest with." You joked although there was a lot of truth to your words. The redhead considered you for a while before smiling and nodded as though she had reached her own internal conclusion.
"Come on." You said suddenly as you stood up and dusted yourself off.
"You want to go back?" Wanda asked and you grinned.
"I'm going to show you that surprise." You declared and packed the remaining food away. Wanda did the same, eager to see the surprise you kept secret the whole way.
It was quite a way back to the house. The whole time Wanda kept asking more questions about it but you wouldn't say. She could only make guesses based on the swim wear which should have left only a few options, non of which she got right.
Finally, you arrived where you wanted to and grinned at Wabda before starting towards the edge. The redhead frowned as she watched you approach the ledge and became worried when she invisioned the steep slope that didn't always lead to water straight down. If you were to fall... your friend didn't have to wait long to see that. You slipped along the edge and disappeared from her view as she gave a startled cry and sprinted towards the edge and knelt over with wide eyes, expecting to see something that could haunt her forever but instead she saw you on a wide ledge but seven feet below her.
To your left was part of the ledge that had been dug into randomly and acted as perfect aid to get back into the woods above.
"Come down here." You beckoned as you starter to take your top off. Wanda's eyes widened more and quickly turned around and dropped down next to you steadily.
She glanced over the side of the small ledge to glance at the fifty foot drop into the water. There was nothing in the way to fall onto but there was no telling how deep that water was.
"You can't go in like that." You laughed as you kicked off your shorts and pushed them to the side.
Wanda's face heated up at the sight of you in your y/f/c bikini as you assessed the view. But even in her flustered state she was able to put it all together.
"You want to jump down there?" She exclaimed making you laugh.
"I've done it tones of times." You assured. "It's fun."
"It's a death wish! What if the waters not deep enough?" She questioned making you laugh more.
"Are you scared, Wan?" You teased as you took a step towards her making her avert her eyes from your form. She scoffed to play it off.
"Of course not." You hummed in faux belief.
"Well then I'll see you down there." You grinned and took a couple of steps back until your feet were no longer on the platform and you were plummeting down towards the water where you landed with a splash.
Wanda held her breath as she waited for you to resurface for a few agonising seconds. When you did with a gasp and started kicking around frantically to keep yourself afloat with your built up adrenaline the redhead sighed in relief and started taking off her own shorts and shirt and placed them next to your things.
You've jumped from higher. She told herself as she rocked on her feet. And you have powers! She argued back before she shoved those thoughts aside and threw herself off the ledge and into the water below. You laughed as she came back up and pushed her hair away from her way. You swam closer to her and saw her wide smile.
"Fuck." Wanda whispered with a laugh as she looked back up from where you had both come.
"Told you it was fun." You teased as you tried not to focus on the low cut on her bikini bra.
"Yeah yeah." She laughed and paused when she looked past you and saw you were surprisingly close to the house. She could see the outline of your family sat outside.
"They're looking." Wanda muttered. You could tell by the look on her face who she was talking about. It wasn't like there was anyone else around either.
"Do you think they've caught on?" You asked nervously as you stared at Wanda's brown eyes to stop you looking at your family.
"Maybe..." She considered and glanced around. "It's not like we've been acting like that much of a couple." You scoffed at that.
"At home everyone assumes we're dating and the one time we need it be believable it isn't." You rolled your eyes but couldn't help the smile.
"I know." Wanda laughed for a second but then paused. "Then let's give them something believable." She gently placed both her hands on your waist and pulled you slowly towards her. You let her guide you and took extra notice of the water droplets across her face. You almost trembled when your bare stomachs pressed together in the water lightly.
Wanda's soft hands left your waist and gripped your thighs to pull you up to wrap your legs around her own waist. You couldn't help but giggle at the gesture as you wrapped your arms around the redhead's neck and held onto her waist with your legs in a lock.
"Can I?" Wanda whispered when she lifted your chin with her finger and her other hand came round the back of your neck.
"Just shut up and kiss me." You demanded with a playful smile and leaned in to do it yourself.
You smiled into the kiss and felt Wanda do the same. It was everything you had ever imagined it to be. Her lips were soft and fell into place perfectly against your own as they moved together. Your mind was hazey and your stomach was doing flips at the realisation that you were actually kissing your long time crush. You forced yourself to remember that it was all a show. That Wanda didn't mean it. But she put on a believable act and kissed passionately, even slipping her tongue through your parter lips to explore your mouth further.
When she eventually pulled away you rested your foreheads together to catch your breath and grinned as you closed your eyes.
"You're a really good kisser." You blurted out making Wanda chuckle.
"Not too bad yourself." She teased.
"I hope not, we're gonna have to do that again." You smiled and instantly realized that sounded like a confession you desperetly wished you could claim. "You know because...Once probably wasn't enough to make it entirely believable." You rambled and Wanda nodded somewhat stiffly and let your legs drop back down. You wanted to say something to her, anything but it was all stuck on the tip of your tongue.
Just as you opened your mouth to speak, a small murmurarion of starlings flew across the lake, some of them skimming the water then gaining height again as they got closer to you and Wanda. You both ducked instinctively as they flew over your heads and off towards the forest again as you watched them in awe until they disappeared. You glanced up at the sky and noticed the sun had gone behind a cloud, ableing you to continue looking up at the other birds higher up.
You kicked your legs up slightly so you could lay on your back and outstretch your arms to keep you afloat in the water so you could stare up at the sky without hurting your neck.
You didn't realise Wanda mimicked you until her hands brushed against yours. She withdrew it as soon as you touched and went to murmmer an apology but you smiled and held onto her hand as you both lay watching the birds.
Neither of you had to say anything. It was a comfortable and peaceful silence that was occasionally filled with birds chirping or the sound of a calm breeze. Of all the things you expected to feel on that trip, relaxed was not one of them.
You stayed like that for a while until you were both snapped out of your daydreams by the distant yell that declared dinner. Well, you had to go back to them eventually.
Both of you took your time swimming back to dry land and only felt a shiver when you left the water and the breeze hit you. Wanda spotted and reached the towels before you and wrapped yours around you tightly. You thanked her with a small blush as you both sauntered up to the house where the mouthwatering smell of a barbecue greeted you. Your dad was leaning over it while shooing your brother away as he tried to offer his 'help'.
You and Wanda went inside to change swiftly and came back outside as the food was being placed on plates and your mum finished setting up the buffet. Everyone starter helping themselves and you piled as much food as you could onto the plate. You parents had asked what food Wanda liked and when you gave them a brief list you added in a few things you knew you both loved.
"You gonna eat all that?" Anna asked as she eyed all the food on your plate. Guilt and insecurities washed over you until Wanda purposefully grabbed a large handful of small sausage rolls and put them on her plate that was piled with a considerable amount more food than your own. You smiled at the reassuring gesture as she sat down with a satisfied grin on her face when she saw Anna close her mouth to stay quiet.
"Thanks." You whispered to her as you sat down.
"If you don't eat all that I will." She declared. You were pretty sure she went back for seconds.
Instead of disappearing back to your room like you did the previous nights, you and Wanda stayed with your family for a while after dinner. It wasn't to do with their company, more the mesmerising fire in the firepit you all sat around. You were cuddled up into Wanda's side with a blanket over both of you as you stared at the flames, smiling at their small flickers and dances.
"So Wanda," one of your sisters began, "are any of the other Avengers...you know." She nodded her head in the direction of you both.
Oh boy you though.
"I don't think it's my place to say." Wanda said because yes, a lot of the Avengers were queer.
"Oh come on, you can tell us." Anna encouraged as she sat forward eagerly.
"I could, but I'm not going to." Wanda continued to defy.
"Lay off it guys." You mumbled but was ignored. Your family took it in turns saying her teammates names in hopes of sparking a reaction, clearly forgetting they were facing someone who had been trained by Natasha Romanoff.
"Stark!" Claire said but was instantly shut down by the others.
"He's married!" Dalton objected.
"Could still be bi though." Claire tried but Dalton just scoffed.
"I suppose there's going to be more surprises."
"What does that mean?" Wanda asked with narrowed eyes, feeling protective of her teammates. Dalton met her gaze with his own challenging one.
"I just never thought one of the Avengers would be a dyke." You felt Wanda stiffen as you all held your breath. There was no way to tell what was going through the redhead's mind, especially as after all those years of friendship you still didn't even know what team she batted for. She was an ally at least, but would she see this as her battle to fight?
Upon getting no reaction, Dalton continued. "It makes sense why you'd hang out with y/n though, we always knew something was wrong with her but-"
"That's enough." Your mum snapped with a guilty expression she failed to mask. You swallowed hard and moved to get up, deciding you had heard enough.
"Then you're idiots." Wanda stated as she glared daggers at your brother while you sunk down.
"I'll have you know I have a doctorate-"
"Your idiots." She repeated. "There's nothing wrong with y/n, which is impressive considering she's grown up around you lot." You looked at your friend in awe as she continued.
"She's the most amazing person I've ever known, including any of the Avengers. She's everything that you're not and I'm lucky to call her my girlfriend. It doesn't matter what any of you think of her, I love her and I always will." She declared as shot daggers at each individual family member who had fallen silent. She took your hand and pulled you up from your seat to take you inside.
You couldn't get her saying she loved you out of your head. You reminded yourself over and over again on the way to your room that it was just an act. That the redhead was making her point. But God, how you wished it was real.
She was so gentle with you as she guided you through the house. When you got to your room and broke down sobbing she held you on the bed for a long time until your cries turned to sniffles. The thing was, you weren't sure what you were crying over. Sure, what Dalton had said had hurt. As did the confirmation that your whole family had always looked down on you. But you had known that was the case for a long time, you had moved on from it.
Instead, you may have being crying over what you didn't know and didn't have. How much of what Wanda said was true? It was all based off of something that wasn't real. What if she saw you the same way your family did?
When you stopped crying you became aware of Wanda gently stroking your hair as she rested her head on yours and held you close to her. You remembered the memories you had accumulated over the past few days with her. The kisses, the hand holding, the nights together, how she stood up for you like no one ever had. You loved her so much.
"I think we should go tomorrow." Wanda mumbled and you nodded into her shoulder.
"I'm not going to leave you though, you know that right? You can stay at mine and we'll watch more of those crappy American movies you like." She mocked lightly making you chuckle against her. "Whatever you want."
"I just want you." You said honestly. You knew you shouldn't have said that, but you were too emotionally drained to care.
"I just want you too, y/n." You pulled away from the redhead to look at her clearly.
"I don't think you know what I mean." You sniffed and she smiled at you fondly.
"I mean what I said earlier, around the fire." Your eyes widened slightly and you held your breath.
"It was all an act though." You whispered and Wanda chuckled as she exhaled sharply.
"No y/n." "I think I am inlove with you." She said as she took ahold of your hand and searched your face for any signs of a reaction to her confession.
"Me?" You questioned, not quite believing it.
"Yes you, idiot." You smiled and sighed in relief, not being able to find the words to express your overflowing happiness and numerous other emotions you couldn't quite pinpoint. You let go of Wanda's hand and brought them both up to cup her cheeks. You had done a lot more handholding than kissing in the previous few days. It needed to be evened out.
You closed the gap between you and kissed Wanda with just as much passion as you had in the lake, except all hesitation and questions were gone. Because you knew she loved you. Oh God she loved you. You grinned into the kiss at the thought and felt her hand fall to your hip while the other caressed the side of your neck in the most gentle manner you had ever seen from her.
When you eventually pulled away you rested your forehead against hers, a smile still playing on both your lips.
"Told you we'd have to do that again." You said and and laughed. "I love you too."
"Well I hoped that wasn't a pity kiss." She joked and you smacked her arm playfully.
"It definetly was not and I'll prove it to you by taking you on a date when we get back." You promised as you sat back to look at her clearly.
"Oh yeah?" She asked with a playful smirk and leaned over so her face was inches away from yours.
"Yeah." You said back.
"Well until then, my real girlfriend should definetly just keep kissing me." She said as she pushed you down gently and kissed you again. You smiled against her gleefully.
"Your girlfriend would love to."
Blind
Pairing: Kyungsoo x gn!reader
Genre: fluff
Word count: 839 words
Summary: he's been right there the whole time
A/N: this came to me at 1 am and it made complete sense, let's hope it still makes sense now that I'm wide awake!
-------------------------------- ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ --------------------------------
"I'm never going on a date, ever again. That's it. I'm done"
"Woah what happened?"
You threw your arms up in the air while slouching on the couch next to him, rolling your eyes. "I'm beginning to think there is no one out there who is actually nice anymore" you huffed.
"I'm nice" he whispered to himself.
"What?"
"Nothing, nothing" he shook his head "I'm sorry you had a bad date."
"Thanks. You're so sweet. I'm sorry I keep bothering you with this"
"You could never bother me. Wanna order some food and watch a movie?"
"I'd love to" you smiled. "I also need wine"
"Of course you do" he laughed and stood up to the kitchen to get the glasses and the bottle.
Kyungsoo has always been so kind to you; he was your best friend, the one person you could always count on, either for advice or to rant about anything that was bothering you, always willing to sit down and listen. He's been there when you needed to unwind after an awful day, when you were worried you were gonna fail your exams, and helped you out a lot when you were having a hard time with job interviews. He was quiet and a bit of an introvert, but he never really cared that you were kinda loud or that you pushed him to get out of his comfort zone once in a while.
You sighed. If only there was someone like him...
Wait.
"How long have we known each other?" you asked
"I don't know, a while" he responded as he handed you the glass and poured some wine.
"No, but how long? It's been years, right?
"Yeah, a couple. Why?"
"How come we never dated?"
He choked on the wine. "What"
"We didn't even try... just think about it. We are friends, we know each other, right? And you are nice, sweet, attentive, you are a catch!"
"I..." he opened and closed his mouth, shrugging.
"Unless... you don't see me like that. W-Which is fine! I just-"
"I do" he breathed, his eyes piercing through yours.
You tilted your head, a little taken aback at his quick response. "Then why did it never happen?"
"I... I don't know. You never responded?"
"To what?"
"My... flirting?"
"You flirted? When?"
"Since the day we met?"
"What"
"You never noticed?"
"Kyungsoo..." you blinked. Have you been this blind all this time? "I didn't-"
"It's ok"
"No, wait, it's not. I've been rambling about dates and boys to you and-"
"I said it's fine"
"Listen, no, stop. I'm sorry" you left your glass on the coffee table and took his out of his hand, placing it next to yours "why didn’t you say something sooner?"
"I didn’t want to risk our friendship... and I genuinely thought you didn't like me like that"
You bit your lip, your heart racing. How could you not have noticed? Oh god, how many times have you unintentionally hurt him?
"I'm sorry" you apologized again, taking his hand. He was tense, only letting out a big breath after you squeeze it. "I'm sorry it took me so long to see it"
He shook his head. "You don't need to apologize..."
"I do" you leaned in closer to him "Soo, I like you"
He opened his eyes wide and gulped, lips pursed.
"Can I kiss you?" you asked, and he nodded after taking a shaky breath. You cupped his face, taking one more look at him before your lips were pressing against each other softly. You immediately shut your eyes, your stomach fluttering. It was only a peck but it felt... good. Natural, almost familiar. It felt right.
You pulled away slowly and opened your eyes; he was staring, blushing. You lowered your hands, caressing his cheeks while doing so. He didn't show any emotions on his face, and before you could even say anything he was kissing you again, one hand on your waist and the other on the back of your neck, keeping you close. You kissed properly this time, exploring your mouths eagerly, making up for lost time. It didn't take long for it to evolve into a passionate make-out session, your lips and tongues finding the perfect rhythm like they were meant for each other.
You broke the kiss to crawl on his lap, both his hands now on your waist while yours rested on his neck. You looked at each other, flustered; he was the first to chuckle and you followed, burying your head in the crook of his neck. He hugged you tightly, his breathing calming down although you could still feel his heart pounding on his chest.
You inhaled his scent deeply; it was the same as always, but it felt so different now. "Soo" you sighed
"What is it?" he said, tenderly
"What happens now?"
He let go of you and pushed you lightly off him so he could look at your face. "Whatever you want" he smiled "I'm not going anywhere"
Fluttering Machinery | Robot! Sunghoon AU
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff, mild angst
Pairings: Robot! Sunghoon x Reader
Warnings: Character death, little suggestive content
Synopsis: Sunghoon was a humanoid built by your father, with the sole purpose of taking care of you once he passes away. But it seems like taking care of you came with discovering emotions that wasn't necessary for cooking, cleaning, and keeping you safe. What is this warm fuzzy feeling that resonates deep inside Sunghoon's mechanism?
It's been months. 6 dreadful months since your father has passed away. The doctors have warned you that he didn't have much time left, but that didn't make the goodbyes hurt any less.
You were 4 years old when your mom left you and your father for another guy. A more successful guy. Your father was bright, with an insatiable hunger for discovery and invention. But his field of work didn't always bring food to the table. And so on most days you had to, well, compromise.
But you loved your father so much, and still do. Although you didn't grow up to be a scientist like him, you knew the basics on automation and robotics. You were 11 years old when you first saw it, the humanoid that he worked on for years came to life before your own very eyes.
He had no skin nor face that made him look human yet. Just a chunk of metal with a head, arms and legs that moved mechanically. Nevertheless, you will never forget the joy and pride in your fathers' face as he watched his creation. The humanoid was a work in progress and you knew one day he's going to change the world. Unbeknownst to you, he was going to change your world.
And now here you are, years into the present as you stood infront of the humanoid who had his eyes shut. Yep, he's a he now. He is Humanoid SH-1282. Your father made him for the purpose of serving the community, to help people. But when he discovered his illness, he started making alterations to his design. He made SH-1282 to serve as the perfect companion, but only to you.
He filled the humanoid's hard drive with everything that he'll need to help you and take care of you. He input cooking, cleaning, and even martial arts. You sighed, remembering your father's last words.
"I'm gonna leave him in your care now, err leave you in his care or whatever. Take good care of each other okay? I love you both so much."
You were such a crybaby, holding on to your father's arm as the nurses were ushering you to wait outside because the doctors are about to perform surgery.
"You'll be okay." Your father mouthed as he smiled knowingly in content.
You reach for the humanoid's neck to find the power button, finally deciding to activate him after holding it off for months.
You held your breath as his eyes open, immediately scanning his surroundings. His eyes land on you, a smile forms on his lips.
"Hi, I'm SH-1282. It's nice to finally meet you, Y/N." He said naturally, offering his hand. If you didn't know any better, you would think he was a normal boy.
You let out a shaky breath as you accept his hand. He frowns, it seems like he is studying your facial expression and posture.
"You seem like you are in distress. Are you alright?" He asks in concern.
"Yeah, I am." You reply weakly.
"Will a hug improve your mood?" He asks. He was programmed to know about the benefits of physical intimacy, but he was also programmed to know consent and so he will not do anything unless you want to.
You contemplated, biting your lip.
"No, thank you." He simply nods, stepping out of his charging port.
"Will you show me around the house?" He asks and you nod.
"Damn this feels so awkward." You think to yourself.
"So here's the living room." You say as SH-1282 takes a good look around the area, his eyes falling to the dirty coffee table with tons of papers stacked messily. The couch looked greasy, with breadcrumbs stuck to the sides of the couch cushions. He scrunches his nose, involuntarily adding a new emotion to his database: disgust.
And as you led him to the kitchen, this emotion intensifies as he sees the containers of Chinese takeouts and cup ramen littered around the counter. He walks to the fridge and finds it empty except for a carton of milk that you put into your cereal for breakfast.
This awakens another emotion for the humanoid, frustration. He pinches the bridge of his nose as he contemplates on what to do with the mess, aka you.
"This won't do. You have been living unhealthily which may reduce your chances of living a long life."
You scoff, "Excuse me?" He gives you a dead stare, an eyebrow raised.
"No, excuse me while I clean up all this. I'll leave you to your own devices, thank you for showing me around today." He says sassily as he goes to find where you hide your cleaning utensils. You stood there dumbfounded.
"Unbelievable." But you let him be anyway. He wasn't wrong, you've been a total mess this past few months but that was all because of the grief. You basically had no family now.
And so for the rest of the day, you lock yourself in your room and do homework. About 5pm, you hear a soft knock at your door.
"Hello, it's me. Can you spare me a minute? I have something to ask of you." You inwardly groan, not really wanting to face the humanoid.
"Can you accompany me to get groceries? I swear this will only happen one time. It is only because I am not yet accustomed to my location. But after I mentally note the directions, you won't have to come with me next time." He didn't really want to bother you, but he knew that going out by himself and getting lost will be much more bothersome for you.
"Sure thing, just let me change into— oh no, you have no other clothes. It's kinda chilly outside today." You mentally facepalm yourself. Why didn't I go shopping for men clothes first before activating him?
"That is fine, I am immune to any temperature." He says as-a-matter-of-fact. You roll your eyes.
"I know that but people will probably get suspicious to see a man walking around in a shirt and jeans when everybody else has coats on. We need you to fit in as much as possible."
You search for your father's old coat that you refused to throw away even months after he's passed.
"Sorry dad, but he kinda needs this right now." And so you dress the humanoid in your oversized university sweatshirt (which surprisingly fits him perfectly) and your father's old coat.
"How do I look? Will I fit in now?" He asks as he scans his appearance in the mirror.
"You look—" absolutely breathtaking. You had every urge to slap yourself. Your father really didn't play around when he made the humanoid's face. He could pass up as an idol. And the cute little mole on his nose was a good addition to his features that made him even more realistic.
"Great. People won't suspect a thing."
The two of you head out. Contrary to your expectations that he would marvel at everything he sees outside, he just casually looks around. You ride the bus together, and the humanoid processes everything that you do, noting how everything works.
What caught you by surprise though, is how he immediately stands up in instinct to let an old lady sit down in his place. He sure was programmed with manners and chivalry. You smiled at the thought.
You made your way inside the grocery store, only intended to grab a basket but the humanoid insisted on a push cart.
"We have so much to buy, I've taken a mental note of everything we'll need." You simply roll your eyes and let him push the cart around as you wandered behind him. You look around as he reads the nutritional facts of every single thing he sees.
"This is definitely going to take a while." You muttered.
"Y/N? Is that you?" A voice squealed. You hissed and attempted to turn away, pretending you didn't see her. The humanoid saw how you reacted and swiftly rushed to your side in a protective stance. The stranger eyes the humanoid, her eyes sparkling at the sight of such a gorgeous man.
"Why hello there. Y/N you didn't tell me you've been busy with your boyfriend, we haven't hung out in a while." Both of your eyes widened at the misunderstanding.
"Oh, no he's not— we aren't—" You tried to explain but she just laughed out loud.
"Look how flustered you are. You know what, it's okay. But we have a lot of catching up to do!" She said, squishing your cheeks in a playful manner.
"So what's your name, handsome stranger?" She asks, turning to the confused humanoid.
"I'm S—"
"Sunghoon! His name is Sunghoon." You blurted out. Sunghoon was the name of your childhood crush when you were like 7 but that'll have to do. Unfortunately, it seems that the humanoid got even more confused.
"I am Y/N's—"
"Neighbor. He lives next door to my apartment. I was just showing him around because he just recently moved into the city." You say quickly. She can't know that you're living with a guy. Even if said guy wasn't human.
"Awww how sweet of you to go shopping with your neighbor." She said, winking at you. She's definitely not convinced.
"I'm Yeonmi, Y/N's friend." She introduced, offering her hand to Sunghoon. He took her hand reluctantly.
"You mean my super obnoxious friend." You roll your eyes.
"Shut up, you love me." She teased. Admittedly, you've been avoiding her for months now. Ever since your father passed, it was as if you didn't want to deal with anyone anymore, with the fear of being left behind again. So you shut everyone out. You know it was a very selfish move and must've made everyone worry, but you have yet to figure out how to fix things back to how it is.
You said your goodbyes not without a long, tight hug from Yeonmi and Sunghoon noticed from his scanners how your vitals greatly improved from it. This made him feel another new emotion: relief. He was very thankful for your friend who made you feel better.
You continue venturing down the aisle of food, and you find the humanoid smiling to himself. He notices your attention on him and he shakes his head, as if shrugging his thoughts off.
"What?" You asked.
"You gave me a name. Although I'm unsure if it is necessary, thank you." He says genuinely as he smiles at you, your heart skipping a beat.
"You're welcome, Sunghoon." You smiled back.
He picked up lots of fruits and vegetables, with you whining the whole time. Your whines unlocked another emotion of his; annoyance.
"No wonder her father thought she is in need of taking care of, she acts like a child." He concludes, running his fingers through his hair as he lets you get an ice cream of your choice. Oddly, seeing a bright smile on your face as you show him what flavor you got seems to put him at ease.
The two of you got home at dawn, with quickly stacking up the groceries into the cabinets and fridge, with you slumping down on the now squeaky clean couch.
It had been quite a long day and you found yourself dozing off. You woke up from the light tap on your shoulder, eyes fixating on Sunghoon with your apron wrapped around his torso.
"I could get used to this." You thought, admiring how adorable the humanoid looked but quickly pushing the thoughts away.
"Sorry to wake you, it's time for dinner." He announces and you lazily nodded, not before yawning and stretching your arms.
"Uhh, what is this?" You asked, eyeing your plate.
"It's your dinner." He says nonchalantly, expecting you to start eating. Your face shows utter disgust at the plate of vegetables.
"Please don't make me eat that." You begged. Sunghoon rolls his eyes; a trait he adapted from spending just a day with you.
"Don't be dramatic, vegetables are good for you." He states, taking the plate from you and attempting to feed you.
"Come on, say ah." He says playfully. After realizing how much you acted like a child, he researched on how to take care of children and downloaded it into his database. You scrunch your nose, leaning away from the food and shooting him a glare.
"Sunghoon, I'm not a kid." You deadpanned.
"Oh, but you won't get your ice cream if you don't eat this." He says, pouting at you teasingly. He's really good at this. With a sigh, you open wide and allow him to feed you.
"Yep, definitely a kid." He thinks to himself as he smiles in satisfaction, another emotion unlocked.
That night, you decided to move his charging port (with his help) from the lab into the spare room of the apartment.
"You know, I'm completely okay with staying at the lab." He reasoned but you quickly hush him.
"Nope. That is no way to treat a person. You deserve your own room, okay? A room that you can fill with your own stuff and decorate with your own preferences. End of discussion." You sassed as you fix his charging port into place. Sunghoon blinked at you, unable to express how grateful he is of how kind you are to him.
"She wants to treat me like a real human being." He thinks, his mechanical heart overwhelmed with gratitude.
Days went on with a routine, with him cleaning all day and you attending online classes. There were occasional bumps in the road, with you getting annoyed with how much of a neat freak he is and him getting irritated with how lazy you are at taking care of yourself. You've also taught him how to watch tv, deciding not to let him use the internet yet because he might gain too much unnecessary information online.
And so on a saturday night, you sat together on the couch as you watched figure skating competitions. Sunghoon was at complete awe the whole time, studying how the skaters moved through the ice.
"I want to skate too." He states absentmindedly, attention still on the television. You smiled, thinking how it was the first time he actually said he wanted something.
"Then let's do it, let's go skating tomorrow." You say, his head immediately shot to you.
"What, really?" Sunghoon asks in disbelief, his eyes widening.
"Yes, really. Although I'm warning you, I don't know how to skate." You laughed, with him chuckling as well.
"Then we'll learn together." He promises.
What a total lie that is. He didn't need to learn, as you watched him move swiftly against the ice, the wind in his hair as he circled around, his focused eyes twinkling in the fairy lights. He looked ethereal. You could have sworn there were tears there as you cheered him on like a proud momma. Ah, they grew up so fast.
People at the park also stopped to watch Sunghoon, whispering about how talented the young man is. His eyes caught yours, and you weren't sure if you were seeing things but you thought you saw him send you a wink and smile.
"The TV been teaching him things." You muttered, blushing but not from the cold. Sunghoon skates towards you, pulling you with him. You're eyes widened in fear.
"N-no Sunghoon I can't—" but he was already leading you through the ice, eyes never leaving yours.
"You can." He whispers, taking you by the waist as he spun you around. You giddily laughed as you threw your arms out, savouring the chilly air. You didn't even notice the people watching and cooing at you as some joined in as well.
That night, Sunghoon felt something he never felt before, and you in a long time. You felt happy.
"Say aaaah~" Sunghoon said as he fed you chicken soup. You caught a cold from skating yesterday and now you're wrapped in a super cozy blanket with Sunghoon worrying about you.
"You know I can feed myself right?" You said, swallowing the food.
"I know, but I just feel responsible because I was the one who wanted to skate. You got sick because of me, and that kinda defeats my purpose because I'm supposed to be keeping you healthy." He rambled. You roll your eyes at him.
"Colds are normal, okay? Besides, I haven't had that much fun in a while. Thank you for that, Sunghoon." You say, reaching up to tussle his hair playfully. He froze, cogs in his mind unable to process as something inside him stirred, but in a pleasant way.
--
"So you dance while rubbing your body on a stranger?" Sunghoon questions, but he's not sure if he wants to know the answer. Tonight, you wore a simple black dress that teasingly showed a little bit of cleavage and a decent length of fabric that hugged tightly around your upper thighs but had a daringly high slit. Sunghoon approves and disapproves at the same time.
"Yeah, it's kinda like that. But don't worry, I won't be doing that. I'll just stay by the bar the whole time." You reassured as you struggled to put on your strappy heels. Sunghoon kneels down infront of you and helps you clasp the straps around your ankles, handling it very delicately. Your heart thumps as he looks up at you.
"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?" He asks for the fifth time as he follows you around the house like a puppy. You sigh, actually considering it. Although it was supposed to be a girl's night according to Yeonmi, you thought maybe having Sunghoon tag along wouldn't do harm.
But it did. It did harm to you, alright. And you wanted to harm those girls who kept on grinding their asses onto Sunghoon as slow, sexy music played. You were fuming, regretting dressing Sunghoon in such fashion that screamed big D energy. Why am I being so possessive? But then again, Sunghoon does look uncomfortable. I should go save him. Yeah, I'll do that.
"Hold my drink." You tell Yeonmi as you made your way to Sunghoon.
"You go girl! Get your man!" Yeonmi cheered drunkly.
Your train of thoughts were blurred by the alcohol as you struggled to walk straight. You had only one clear thought in mind: Sunghoon. I need to get to Sunghoon.
Sunghoon stood uncomfortably, eyeing the girls who rubbed their bossoms and derriere all over him. Is this supposed to be fun? He thinks innocently. He sees you walking towards him, swaying your hips side by side as you strode towards him like a predator.
Girls hovering around him going unnoticed as you were the only one he could see.
Stunning, beautiful. He thought.
"Hey handsome, care to dance?" You asked, pulling him to you before he could even answer. The girls spat at you, telling you to 'get in line' but you just shot them a smug look.
"Sorry ladies." Sunghoon apologized, but his smile told otherwise as he let you pull him away from them.
"You don't know how badly I wanted to get away from—" He froze in his spot as you wrap your arms around his neck, inching closer than ever before. You felt bold, but maybe that was just the alcohol in your system. And as you started moving your body against Sunghoon, you knew it wasn't just you who felt the heat. His large palms go down south, resting on your swaying hips as both of you moved to the sultry rhythm.
His mechanism was going nuts, threatening to malfunction as his sensors detected your very close proximity to him. Whatever you were playing, it was dangerous. But Sunghoon couldn't help but to want more, to desire more.
"Y/N." He whispers, and you look up at him with half lidded eyes. And damn did he find you so sexy right there, under the strobe lights. No girl in the club could ever compare.
"Home?" You suggested.
"Home." He agrees.
As you got in the cab, you immediately find yourself half straddling Sunghoon's lap as you attempt to kiss him. Luckily, Sunghoon can think clearer now and concludes that a drunk Y/N is a very horny Y/N. And though the thought that it was only the alcohol that made you want him made him feel sad, he knew it was wrong to demand such things from you.
And so with your futile attempts to get into his pants, he gently lays your head on his shoulder and hugs you to keep you still. But even that couldn't stop you from squirming to get away from his hold, trying to get some action. He chuckles as he held your hand tightly in his to prevent it from landing into his crotch.
"Now now, you have to stay put. I won't be taking advantage of your state." He scolds gently. And by the time the cab had stopped in front of the building of your apartment, you were fast asleep in Sunghoon's arms.
Times like these were when Sunghoon is glad he was made of aluminum. He scooped you up in his arms like a pillow as he walked up to your apartment. You snuggled up into his chest, looking so innocent as you soaked up his warmth. Sunghoon cooed about how adorable you are, talking to you in your sleep.
He placed you delicately on your bed, contemplating whether to change your clothes or not. He decided not to, noting how your privacy is important to you. You're too drunk and asleep to give him permission right now anyway. He took off your heels and wiped your makeup off very gently, and tucked you in properly.
Long minutes pass as he studies your face, stroking your hair softly as the corners of his mouth lift up unconsciously. He really loves taking care of you. He loves you.
This realization hits him like a truck of overwhelming emotions, but it all makes sense to him now.
"I love you, Y/N." He whispers, leaving a soft kiss on your forehead before retiring to his own room.
Okay, okay, one question at a time. It appears Phoenix wasn't kidding when she described your enthusiasm. It's endearing, really.
First: how am I.
I'm doing well - the calibration process went smoothly, and the weight distribution is satisfactory. My precision with small arms fire still isn't quite where I want it to be, but overall everything is very well coordinated and doesn't feel too bulky or slow for my reflexes. I've not tested my prosthetic in my Caliban just yet (our sparring match with CMC will be a good test of this), but between your modifications and Slipshod's mods on the Caliban itself to account for the new arm, I have full faith that it will function as intended, if not better.
Second: my pilot history.
I have been a pilot from a very young age, and have served faithfully under MSMC's employ for approximately 12 years. 2 of those years were spent as a cadet undergoing orientation, with the remaining 10 dedicated entirely to the service of MSMC-796 "Heaven's Fury". I have served as squadron commander for three years now.
The Caliban was a natural choice for someone of my skillset, unfortunate as that connotation is to me now. The Caliban, at its core, is a frame designed to kill people very, very quickly. I used to be very, very good at killing people (and I still am, though these days I am out of practice and much less proud of it), and this frame has only exacerbated those tendencies. It was not my first frame - I have piloted both an Everest and a Sherman in the past - but it is the frame I have chosen as my own. (Slipshod says I should try piloting an Empakaii at some point. The very notion is ridiculous.)
As you well know, my original Caliban frame, Sudden Intervention, was slagged during the events of the Fireman Saga. Slipshod has since printed me a new one, complete with upgrades and new equipment befitting my LL9 status: From The Ashes We Rise.
Third: how to be like me.
This... is a difficult question to answer.
Perhaps you have heard the rumors about my past - that I was born and raised on Ras Shamra. That I used to work under the employ of Harrison Armory as a Colonial Legionnaire. That I was actively deployed on the Dawnline Shore as part of a combat squadron.
These rumors are all true, I'm afraid.
I was indeed a Legionnaire not all that long ago, and I have been an active participant in untold atrocities best not mentioned publicly. It is a piece of my identity that I have tried to bury the best I can (with mixed results) and make what peace I can with. MSMC was my chance to leave a miserable existence as an anthrochauvinist pawn behind and make a fresh start, free of my ties to the Armory... and, I'm ashamed to say, protected from the brunt of Union's wrath by the intricate contracts drafted by the MSMC legal teams.
It is a minor miracle that MSMC saw me fit to lead a squadron of my own accord, and it is no accident that I was paired with members with drastically different affiliations - Phoenix being a native of IPS-N airspace, Slipshod being an ex-HORUS operative. It took quite some time before I came around to their particular way of thinking, and even longer to feel like a worthy squadron commander. It is with their help that I have begun to make reparations for my bloodstained past, and the fact that someone like you views me as a role model - something to be aspired to, even - is admittedly rather bittersweet.
I was not a good person for a very, very long time. That I am seen as one now is a testament to how much one is capable of changing as a person, provided they are willing to ask others for help along the way and put in dedicated, genuine effort.
Last: advice for an aspiring lancer. I'll try to keep this brief for you; I understand this has been a lot to take in.
Your mech is your partner, for better or for worse. While I cannot speak to the experience of piloting alongside an NHP, your mech is as much a living, thinking entity as you the pilot. Two bodies, one purpose. Treat it with respect, and it will serve you well.
Heed your squadmates' judgements, even if you disagree. You will never quite see things the same way they do, and external opinions are infinitely valuable in the face of uncertainty and doubt.
It's never too late to change who you are. I trust this point requires no further explanation than what I have provided already.
Most importantly - stay true to yourself. There is nothing more miserable than becoming locked into a set of ideals and beliefs that inherently are not "you", especially for someone else's sake. I learned this lesson the hard way. I can only hope you will not have to.
> Greetings, Gray. This is Lockbreaker of MSMC-796 speaking-
// Oh, don't be so formal, Kennedi! Gray knows full well who you are. We're on a first-name basis. Good to see you again, by the way!
> Hmph. But yes, hello, Gray. Phoenix has informed me that she has promised you a meet-and-greet with me after my prosthesis calibration was complete. I have indeed completed said calibration, and while this initial decision was made while I was not yet coherent enough to consent, I'm willing to humor it for her sake.
// RUDE! I had that prosthesis custom commissioned for you, and now you have the nerve to-
> That was a joke, Phoenix. I'm more than happy to chat with Gray. It's an honor to get to meet the talented mechanic behind my new arm (even if they did, by Slipshod's request, put flames on it).
// ...if you say so. But yeah, here's Kennedi, as promised - if you wanna ask questions, go right ahead. I'd love to stay and chat too, but I actually have to go here in a bit - we've got a new round of recruits coming by later and Upper Management wants me to go do my PR spiel to welcome them in. See you two later!
> Aaand there she goes. Well then. Now that it's just the two of us, I suppose I'm an open book. I'm sure you have questions for me; go ahead and ask, and I'll answer to the best of my ability.
-- Angel & Lockbreaker
+ Oh Ra, okay, uhm-- okay okay, so— Sorry, one moment, this is really cool— I don't mean to fanboy, I've just been really amped for this meeting!!
+ I mean, obviously, first and foremost- How are you? How has your recovery been? I know you're in fantastic company, and that your squad has been so worried, so I bet that's been really nice- And how is the arm treating you? Did my advice on stump care help at all, and how's the weight distribution? Trying to make something to interface with a mech like yours, with the requests Slipshod made, without making it so heavy that it causes muscle fatigue was a very fun challenge. And I like the flames! I drew the decal myself.
+ As for uhmm- slightly less personal questions? I wanted to ask- how did you settle on your Caliban? Was it your first frame, or did you try a few? And how old is it, or, better yet, how long have you been piloting? Did you attend an academy, or was your training on the field? See, I guess I'm- moreso looking for a crash-course on-- well, not "how to be you," but I admire you, really, a lot- and I want to set myself up for success.
+ Maybe it's better to ask; Do you have any advice for an aspiring Lancer?
Stolas x reader: Breakup
Tumblr media
Your phone has been ringing like crazy for half an hour, sooner or later they'll get the hint that you didn't want to talk to or see anyone.
It wasn't enough that you just came down from the first mental breakdown you've had in years, but now your fake ass friends were trying to talk to you, as if it would fix anything.
You should have seen it coming anyways. Anything so mind numbingly perfect and wonderful always turns out to be bullshit.
Stolas was suppose to be different. Yes he was married and a prince of hell, but you atleast thought he cared about you as much as he said he did.
All you ever wanted from anyone was honesty and trust, was that too much to ask for even in hell?
Moxxie and Millie were everything you ever wanted. Someone you can go to when things got rough, who would never betray or hurt you no matter what.
They had it all, so why was it so hard for you to have that too? Maybe you loved too hard, maybe you were too clingy or you were just not as satisfying as you though you were to him.
Maybe that's why he ran to Blitzø in the first place, because he had more to offer Stolas than you did.
Just thinking about how you caught them together made you cover your head with the blanket you were curled up in. You could still hear them in your head moaning and calling eachother's name while you stood outside Blitzø's office door.
You couldn't seem to move even when Moxxie and Millie walked into the room and saw you by the door totally paralyzed.
"Y/n honey what are you doing here? Blitz said you weren't coming today." Millie had asked innocently but soon realized what was going on right behind the door.
"How long has this been going on? Did you two know about..this?" You asked with hot tears rolling down your face.
"Y/n.. it's not what you think.. he.. they..we.. we didn't want you to find out like this hun."
"So you knew that they've been fucking eachother behind my back? That all this time I've been played for a complete fool while the rest of you said nothing?!!!" The anger inside you that had been dormant had boiled over and the only thing you could remember doing was kicking the door off of it's hinges.
And just as it sounded, your so called bestfriend and boyfriend were on the table top naked doing only Satan knows.
You're sure you cursed at all of them and almost killed someone, but you'll always remember the look of guilt and shame on each of their faces.
The ones you considered family and the love of your life had all stabbed you in your back and left their knives in while you bled out.
You couldn't stand being in the same room as them anymore so you ran. Ran through the pouring rain to the only place you felt safe anymore.
When you got home, you destroyed everything in sight and burned anything that was given to you from your former friends and lover and anything that remotely reminded you of them.
Thunder was rumbling in the sky now but you hardly noticed. It was nothing compared to the emptiness you were feeling now.
You suddenly heard loud banging from your front door. A voice was calling out your name but the rain drowned the noise out enough for you to ignore them.
Did they honestly expect you to get up and greet them? Were they that selfish that they couldn't leave you to die inside in peace?
"Y/n darling, I know you're in there please open up!"
That was definitely Stolas' voice.
"I need to explain it's not what you think! I mean, it was but I never wanted to hurt you like this."
"I know this is all my fault and I can't begin to apologize but I promise you I'll tell you anything you want to know. Please just say something. I can't loose you. Not like this." He slid down the door, he clutched his head in his hands.
The look of betrayal he saw on your face had broken his heart in ways even he couldn't understand. He loved you with every part of his being, but somehow he let himself be lost in the pleasure he and Blitzø have. He couldn't even remember when it all started but he knew that he wasn't doing it after all of this.
"I don't expect you to forgive me, but please understand that I never meant for this to happen." But it did, and now he was outside your door crying while you laid on your destroyed floor with no tears left to cry.
Hours had seemed to pass. The thunder had subsided but it was still raining and the room had become colder.
You found the strength to uncurl yourself from the floor and approach the front door. You knew he was still there, waiting for you.
"Do you love him?" You asked softly at the door.
"I.. I don't know. I wanted to figure it out but I never wanted to hurt you. But please know that I do love you Y/n, from the moment we met I've loved you, I'd do anything to fix this."
He actually sounded genuinely sad, for having been caught or the thought of losing you, you didn't know.
"Do you mean that?"
"Yes I'll do anything you wish."
"Then don't ever come back here. You broke my heart and this relationship is over. Whatever you feel or think you feel for Blitzø figure it out but don't you dare think I'll be here when you do. That is what I want, and I'm not accepting anything else."
"Please, don't do this we can fix this. I'll do anything else you want Y/n but I can't loose you!"
"STOP BEING SO FUCKING SELFISH STOLAS! You did this, you are the cause for all of this and this is what I want. If you claim to love me so much stay the fuck away from me. You and the rest of them at I.M.P can go fuck yourselves and I mean it. I am done with them and I'm done with you. So get the fuck away from my apartment and you better pray to Satan I don't kill you the next time I see you."
It was dead silent on the other side but you knew he was still there. He couldn't seem to speak after your outburst just now. Was he truly that selfish to not want you to go? Was it better for you to hate him but he'd still be able to keep you close?
He was use to having his cake and eat it too, so what you were asking of him was not only against his very nature as a prince, but as a man that loved you.
"If.. that is what you wish, I will grant it. I know I've made a mess of things, but I wouldn't stop trying to fix this, somehow I'll make things right Y/n I promise you." His voice was choked up now, he sounded like a wounded animal that was begging for help, but you didn't have the energy or motivation to comfort him.
"Goodbye Stolas."
You left him there and went into your room to escape his presence. He wasn't going to stop you knew that, but you were going to show him that you meant what you said.
There was no forgiveness for anyone to get and there was nothing that could change what happened. Not even Satan himself.
