I finally watched Swedish Christ Superstar

Remember how I did a whole deep dive into the 2018 one? Yeah well, I was gonna try to do that with this version, but it is so unbelievably, completely, utterly, insanely unhinged that I just had to have my post about it match the energy. So without further ado, here are my literal first reaction notes to Jesus Christ Superstar (2014 Swedish Arena Tour).

Overture-

• Ooh the stuttering guitar is so metal

• Love the outfits, give me more apocalyptic leather headbanging nonsense

• Love how the choreo goes with the music rather than pure immediate chaos

• Admittedly the orchestra could be a bit better, but not terrible

• The shopping cart is my favorite character

• This feels almost interpretive

• Ok. Jesus is hot

• I think that's an appropriate tone to be set

• I will say, I like productions with more color, but I see the style they're going for and I don't dislike it

When I say future spouse, I mean it as in a very literal way - The next person you will marry. Now, if you are someone who's never been married then that still applies, but I guess I am more inclusive to the term? Since there are people who have been divorced and want to get married again, then that could also mean for them their future spouse. I feel like when people say "future spouse" they just mean their "forever person (as "in till death do us part" & "♾️" xoxo). When honestly, the way I think of it is you could get married, but then could also get divorced, or maybe you're married but not necessarily marrying for love? As I was shuffling for his face, I saw someone come up to my tabke, roll up his sleeves and sit down gazing into your eyes. I think they're pretty smooth and when he looks at you it feels like you're all that exists? Super romantic. But also a bit devious in the beginning?

Idk maybe he is counting his losses when you meet him. Or you find him doing some sneaky shit. Maybe leaving a party. Or doing something he shouldn't be and you join in on the prank. This could be quite strategic and be good at manipulation when he feels he needs to put his guard up? It maybe he just has too much going on.

Nose: what does he breathe life into? The queen of pentacles came up so this fs is super creative. And rich. Aristocratic feature. A thin shapely nose. Could like wearing rings. Some thi f about their hair could stand out. Or the way they hold their head. Contemplative. Probably on the leaner side.

Lips : soft. Plush. Plump. Soft kisses. Kind. Sweet looking mouth. Like it would speak words of love? Kind. Wholesome. Upward turn of the lips. Ace of cups.

Oh, you know, I watched like five minutes of the Scream TV show and then just like...forgot to ever go back? I was actually thinking about it recently precisely because people had been talking about Fear Street as a TV show and I was wondering how that'd go.

Ahhh, everyone's favorite conflict about Sam and Deena: we want more of them but dare we risk them being ruined? The first ask was sent last week so I've been thinking on it and about all the various horror leads that survived sequels, so it's not like it hasn't been done, Scream's whole trio keeps surviving (and they BETTER in 5). There have also been cases where previous leads made little cameos so were at less risk. But you know, or different characters, I wouldn't really mind something like AHS or The Haunting, I don't think it would necessarily be TOO kitschy, except for our requirement that they always play love interests and always survive. I don't think any anthology series would really be okay with that limitation. I know FS seemed really fanficcy in how much it gave us but there are limits.
