I'm FINALLY through with Dressrosa which means I'll be seeing our main man again soon, but now I'm thinking about how long I'm going to be in Whole Cake Island... like it took me a (relatively) long time to get through Dressrosa and Sanji wasn't even there for most of it! With WCI I'm going to be pausing every 5 minutes to get screenshots! Lord help me, I'm going to be stuck there for the rest of my life...

#I've got mixed feelings about wci‚ I can't decide if I'm looking forward to it or not #on the one hand‚ SANJI'S THERE WOOOO MY GUY I MISSED YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU #but on the other hand he has such a terrible fucking time there and it genuinely makes me kinda sad seeing my fave like that #when I read the manga I remember blasting through wci as fast as I could cuz I didn't like seeing sanji so fucked up #but anime arcs always take a lot longer to get through...#PLUS I dunno if this is just me but I don't really like his wci outfits at all??#the prince outfit looks kinda ridiculous and I don't think a fully white tuxedo suits him at all #which I'm pretty sure is the whole point of course #people parading around like they're better than everyone else are probably going to dress kinda ridiculous #and him being forced to wear a tux that doesn't suit him fits the whole theme of him not belonging there #so like... We need to talk about this fear when you see another neurodivergent kid getting mocked behind their back or bullied, and maybe you're not even aware that you're neurodivergent yourself yet, but you have this profound, internal knowledge that you have more in common with this one kid than with all of the others who are mocking him.

So you're just like... Terrified. Because you know you're blending in -for now- but you also know you're right next in line for the bullying. If you do just one thing wrong, if you're just a little bit too weird, if people notice you two have some sort of common point, you'll end up in the same position than them.

So you just use them as a counter-model and try to avoid doing anything that might look like something they'd do. You become overly self-conscious. You think constantly about the fact that you don't want to end up like this one kid. You try to avoid talking to them as much as possible, to avoid befriending them. And every time you do a mistake, every time your natural behavior shows, your mind races like "oh no, I've acted like them. People are gonna see we're alike. They're gonna talk behind my back about it. I'll remind others of them and they'll mock me for it."

There's nothing wrong with people having their dearest most specialest blorbo be Eric ztd it is unironically good for the ecosystem and I always love seeing the different perspectives from other fans but what I am here today to ask is why is no one like that about Mira. whatever happened to feminism.

#every categorically insane man in this series has their dedicated fans and every popular character also has a bunch of red flags so like #to be fair no one's too crazy about Lotus or Alice either hm like people either outright dislike them conceptually because of their designs #or you know just have an appreciation for them as characters but not quite focusing on them much at all #like me #and like are the tropes that make up her character problematic? yeah! that didn't stop y'all from liking Saito a whole lot #now he's better woven into the narrative of the game he's in but then my point's back to Eric lol #like it is just fucking ludicrous the amount of stuff in the whole Series not to mention the game Alone that she's responsible for #but it does feel disconnected (being responsible for the Kurashiki's parents deaths)#frustrating (being responsible for injecting Phi whith Rad-6)#and overall just kinda glossed over?
