I love that In Stars and Time gives the nonconsensual kiss a proper horrified reaction, by the way. Most media where a character can kiss someone out of no where either make it a funny thing or the "romantic" thing, but here Siffrin kisses without permission out of no where and Isabeau reacts correctly! He pushed them away! Because thats surprising, and fucked up to do to someone with no lead up and no permission! Isabeau had no context, and at the time when the kiss happened, was under the impression that Siffrin didn't like touch which can have a variety of horrible reasons for it. Not only that but... We don't know what face Siffrin was pulling and I don't think it was a nice one. Which, again, means that we don't have all the context either! This is a horrible event that has horrible consequences and I love that it does. Because it's something that is horrible and objectively one of the worst things Siffrin did to one of the others in the loops, so I'm just!!! So excited it had bad consequences!!!

one thing that really fascinates me about alex is his devotion to art – and more specifically, how he chooses to get some inspiration from scientific works of what he aims to implement in his art. every time one gets to examine some of his lyrics, or even how he explains these lyrics in an interview, they can be greeted by some bits of actual scientific information. an example is how he named his taquería on the moon with the term “information-action ratio”, coined by the critic neil postman, and referenced it in the song four out of five, something that might also indicate an interesting articulation with postman's concept. the line “cute new places keep on popping up”, for example, can express his well-known sardonic discontent regarding the flood of information being generated and transmitted over and over and, as much as it seems visually appealing and does give the idea of benefiting from advanced technologies, it doesn't really add anything substantial to the receiver's critical thinking – and worse, it distances the information receiver from the sender in a communication channel, according to postman.

what i'm saying with this interpretation is, it's known that alex is enamoured with the idea of gathering a bunch of references and condensing them into a mixture of metaphors in his writing, but it's so thrilling how, at times, we can find some bits of science inside of it – and it's even more exciting, just like playing a puzzle game, to find these references and analyse them by doing a similar research to what he did to create his works.

It's important that everyone understand that JD Vance did not write about fucking a couch in his career launching semi-fictional pseudobiography: Hillbilly Elegy. It is simply not true that JD Vance has written about fucking a latex glove that he inserted between couch cushion. There is, at this point, no evidence that JD Vance did actually fuck a couch although importantly, he is also not on record denying it so we can't know for sure until he answers questions on the record about if he fucked a couch or not, but we do know that the tweet that claimed he did it and wrote about it was just a joke and the specific book pages cited in it contain no stories about JD Vance fucking a couch.

So long story short, I've added a Dead Boy Detectives Gods AU to my to-do list!!!!!!!! I think it would be perfect if I could have it ready by GeekedWeek AHHHH!!!!

It wouldn't be based on Percy Jackson or Hercules or anything specific like that - literally just my own story, my nerd ass playing fast and loose with Greek gods in a modern-day setting with our beloved core-4 at the center of a huge, seemingly impossible task that they can only conquer together. Idk man I'm so into this idea right now I'm literally pacing the room!!!!! Would anyone even want to read this?!

Payneland included of course. They fall in love in every universe, after all. (Probably Palasaki too because I LOVE them. ALSO other characters would make appearances, too! Not just the core-4!)

We Receive: being able to keep doing our goth thing mostly unimpeded. You receive: us not raising the great majority to protest your unwelcome meddling. render unto the chantry what is the chantry's and unto the watchers what is theirs (or, with all possible courtesy you understand, else…)
