hey y'all.. so this is not the story i was planning on posting. but i wanna post before i go on my vacation. so here it is!! i'll try and post the longgg one soon but i don't wanna finish it rn bc it's at like 15k words so i have no idea weather to finish it or not🙂

You and your sister Madi filipowicz have a lot of similarities, but you guys have more different interests then same, like for example. She loves partying, you don’t. You love spending time alone, she loves hanging out with friends. She’s a morning person and you’re not. But dispute your differences you love her with all your heart and would to anything for her…well maybe not everything.

“ please y/n I don’t wanna go to this party alone, and plus you never get out of the house. So please for the love of god come to the party!!” Your sister says flopping on your bed and turning to you.

“ I don’t want to go out tonight, I went with you last time and I did not enjoy it one bit. Plus aren’t your friends going to come with you anyway so what’s the big deal if I don’t go this one time”

“ because you always say “ I’ll go next time” but you never do, your going to rot away in your bed if you stay cooped up in the house all the time” Madi says sitting up to look at you with her puppy dog eyes that she does all the time and it drives you crazy because she knows that you will give in and say yes to whatever her request is.

“ what!! I don’t say that all the time and for your information, not like it’s any of your business but I’m going out next week to go to a birthday party for one of my friends from work.” You say acting like her joke about you “rotting away in your bed” hurt your feelings. “ plus even if I did want to go I don’t have a dress to wear” you say as you lay back to lean on the head of your bed.

“ pleasee I promise to make it up to you. It will be fun nicks going to be there, your friends with him right?”

“ yea me and Nick are friends I guess, but I always either get lost or left behind at all the parties that I go to with you. It’s not fun going to a party and you only know your sister and her friends.” You say looking at her with a straight face.

Your sister doesn’t say anything, but just leaves your room to go to her room. About 15 minutes pass and she comes back with a dress that you are convinced people would wear at a strip club. “ I am not wearing whatever that is, it’s not even going to cover my ass” you say getting up to go to your closet to grab a pair of sweats and a crop top.

“ no. There is absolutely no way I am letting you wear that to a party. Dress up and it’s fine I’ve worn this before and it covers enough of your ass. So put those away and take this dress and get ready cause we are leaving at 8:30” Madi says walking out of your room to get herself ready.

It was now 8:15 and your sister had been at you for the last 30 minutes to hurry up. You were almost ready you just had to finish putting your dress on. You put the dress on and you realized that your sister had lied to you. It in fact did not cover your ass at all.

“ MADI!! IM GOING TO KILL YOU.” You say running down your stairs to find her friends at the door. It was nick Matt and Chris the triplets. You have seen them before and you really liked Nick probably caused he is gay and you don’t like to hangout with guys. Chris also wasn’t a problem it was Matt Sturniolo. You didn’t like hate hate him just when you were with him he just made you uncomfortable. He always stared at you like he was trying to undress you with his eyes.

“ come on it’s not that bad you look good” Nick says coming up to hug you. You don’t say anything cause you know you look good you just don’t like dressing up. ~Time skip~

When you all got there madi and Nick practically jumped out of the car that was still not fully parked. Chris soon followed after them leaving you with Matt.

“ you look good tonight” Matt says and you can tell he’s smerking without even looking back at him. “save me at least one dance princess” he says as he walks past you leaving you at the front door before you could say yes or no.

The house was nice, it was packed with people and you already didn’t enjoy it. But you brushed off the feeling and made your way to the kitchen where Nick and your sister were downing shots.

“ jeez save some for me” you say moving next to madi to take 3 shots of vodka. “ dose your brother always flirt with girls” you say looking at Nick while pointing at his brother Chris who currently has at least 10 girls by him.

“ um yea he does this when we go to parties all the time he says he finds it funny how every girl comes up to him when he’s at a party.” He says shrugging “ I have to pee hold my drink” Nick says to Madi as he walks down a hallway.

About 3 hours have passed and you, your sister and nick were all pretty drunk. You had found a room with couches and a ping pong table. You all were tired and wanted somewhere to chill so you decided to hang out in there until some people left.

“ yo we’ve been looking for you guys” Chris says as he walks in with Matt and two other people that you don’t care to know “ I’m bored can we play a game like truth or dare” Chris says sitting down across from you and of course Matt had to sit right next to you.

You all agree and Chris goes first and he had picked truth. Then nick who picked dare and had to ask a random guy for there number. Then you.

“ truth or dare y/n” Chris said hoping you would pick dare cause he was bored and wanted to “spice things up”

“ um I guess I’ll pick dare” you said and as soon as you said that you saw Chris’s eyes shoot open and practically scream “ I dare you to spend 7 minutes in heaven with Matt” and as soon and he said that you could feel Matt’s eyes on you watching you until you responded.

you didn’t say anything but “come on” as you got up and went to the closest room/closet. With matt soon following you after with a big smerk on his face.

You and Matt were now in a small room. It was difficult to see and before you could look at Matt. He moved closer to you and you could feel the warmth of him with how close he is. before you could say no or pull away you felt his lips on yours. The kiss was lustfull but sweet at the same time.

You soon kissed him back and it quickly turned into a heated make out. Matt had one of his hands on your ass and the other wrapped around your neck to keep you up against to wall. Matt pushed his hips up against yours so you could feel his growing member, your mouth fell open and you let out a moan. Matt took that opportunity to slip his tongue in your mouth. You and Matt fought for dominance, him eventually winning.

He broke off the kiss and started to kiss down your neck lightly biting your neck as he moved lower, still holding your neck in place. When he was about halfway down he stopped and looked up at you. “Can i ?” Matt asked pulling up your dress a little. “ y-yes” you said as he began to pull of your dress, you helping him get it off faster.

“ fuck your beautiful. I need to be inside you” Matt said as he kissed your stomach while standing up to take of his jeans. You were in shock with how big it looked through his boxers.

Matt placed his hands on the back of your thigh signaling you to jump. when you jumped he caught you and pushed you up against the wall and started to aggressively kiss you. He was exploring every inch of you making you go insane craving his touch even more.

“ hold on let’s go somewhere else so we aren’t bothered” Matt says putting you down.

You both get dressed and fix your hair as much as you could. Matt took your hand and took you out of the closet.

You find an empty room upstairs and Matt doesn’t waist any more time and pushes you up against the wall kissing your neck. He breaks off the kiss and takes his shirt and pants off leaving him in his boxers.

Once he finishes getting undressed he returns to kissing your neck. Biting and licking everywhere leaving marks. You love the way he made you feel it was addicting.

“ get undressed and get on the bed on all fours” he said as he stopped kissing you to let you get on the bed.

You got undressed now in nothing, getting on the bed. Getting on all fours you were patiently waiting for Matt and were about to turn around when you felt him behind you.

“ I’m going to fuck you so good you’re going to be begging for more” Matt said as he thrusted into you without any warning.

You let out a loud moan because of how big he was. Matt bent down still thrusting into you at a rapid speed, and began kissing your neck leaving sloppy wet marks all over you.

⊹ I'm done with my last internship!! which means im no longer a student, but now unemployed :DD

⊹ I went to a wedding for the first time in about 7 or 8 years, i think. it was lively! (I took the middle-left picture there.)

⊹ I (unintentionally) lost weight. Around 7-8 kilos since may. i mean, i needed to lose weight and I still do, but the fact that it happened without dieting makes me happy :)

⊹ I’m visiting Germany in September!! I’m sooo excited because the only time i’ve been abroad was for just 4 days, but this time i’ll be there for almost a month!! i’m trying to stay calm, but i’m seriously so excited!!!

⊹ I need a series to binge!! i officially don’t have school starting tomorrow!! it’s impossible to believe lol. i need some dramas to watch… please suggest some ;)) (i also love true crime docuseries!)

⊹ i still have some things to do, though—like graduation and internship paperwork. It’s just paperwork, but the deadlines are important, and there’s a lot of it. So, I still need to focus and get things done. (boo hoo)

⊹ College is over, but I still need to study for language proficiency and master's exams in November. I'll be updating this blog more frequently from now on!!

⊹ I'm starting therapy this month, and this time I'm determined to go through with it. i know it's a bit ironic, being a psychology grad and being scared of therapy :) But i never knew where to start or how to openly face the challenges. Sharing everything with a stranger also feels uneasy :) I still don't feel fully ready for it, but I've decided to cross that bridge when I come to it. I just need to take that first step,,

TL;DR

I’ve closed a chapter in my life now, and I’m already excited for the next phase—my master’s journey. For this summer, I had so many plans, but I couldn’t find the time for most of them :( Now, I’ll focus on relaxing while also staying productive over the next two months. I don’t want to push myself too hard, though, because I haven’t had a vacation longer than one month since 2020!

For the past two weeks, I’ve been listening to just this album. Thanks to Google’s algorithm, the moment I started listening, my YouTube recommendations were flooded with analysis videos about Tyler, the Creator and IGOR :) He’s truly an amazing artist, and although I don’t have enough knowledge to praise him thoroughly, I can definitely appreciate how impressive this masterpiece is. You’ve probably heard it before, but I hope you’ll click and listen to it from start to finish again when you see this post!

Trash Tuesday

ok yes it's Saturday, almost Sunday, but whatever!! thank u @kamaela and @phoenixortheflame for tagging me! this is a not edited, not fully-formed tidbit from a thing i wrote ages ago, from a longfic idea (HA) which idk what will happen to, so it may be trash or it may get rescued. ok whatever im doing it

“You’re not Harry Potter,” Draco said, gaze fixed pointedly away from the Auror who had just entered the room. He sat with as much grace as could be mustered in the stark steel chair that was cutting into his rear. His chin was balanced in a considering manner against one hand, and he leaned his shoulders forward, just so—a practiced pose, as if he were entertaining guests in his own parlor. The only thing that belied his current situation was the pair of crude iron shackles around his wrists. 

It was honestly barbaric--Draco could feel his magic withering up inside them. And although the humiliation was nothing new, it still burned.

He distracted himself from it by circling his fingers over the faint indents pockmarking his side of the table. Bite marks, he realized, as he traced a divot that seemed very canine. Leaving them there was surely just an intimidation tactic. The DMLE was not so full of incompetent bastards that they couldn’t set it right with a simple Reparo.

The Auror took the seat opposite him. “You’re a criminal. You don’t get to make demands.”

Draco’s lip twitched, and he finally gave the Auror a once-over. She seemed young—a rookie, then. He let out a dramatic sigh and leaned back, pulling on his shackles so that the chain snaked to the floor with a loud rattle. “That’s word for word what the last one said. Does Robards train you all to be copies of the same person?”

At his taunting of her superior, she flushed, and the knuckles of her hand went white. Hot-blooded twats, the lot of them, he thought. Draco’s lip still stung from what the last Auror had thought about his smart-mouthed comments.

“You talk big, but I know who you are,” she said, turning up her nose at him. “You’re just some washed up Death Eater.”

She was too young to really know what that meant. Draco gave her an icy smile. “Correct. And you’re just the person stuck here with me until Potter arrives. As I’ve said repeatedly, I won’t answer questions to anyone else."

She sniffed. “Sure. If he’ll even come for the likes of you.” 

“He’ll come,” he said. 

She shrugged, and, mercifully, decided to disregard him from that point onwards. He was thankful for the silence as he sat there, ignoring the growing pit in his stomach that came with waiting for The Boy Who Lived (And Who Probably Still Hated Him). Her last jab had been uncomfortably close to the possibility that was now gnawing at Draco’s core—Harry could very well ignore his plea and refuse to question him. Then Draco would be well and truly fucked. 

He could only hope that Harry had changed his mind in the weeks since their confrontation—that he’d decided Draco was worth giving another chance to, or at the very least, worth a listen.

Mostly, Draco thought it would be nice if Harry would look at him one more time.

“Malfoy,” sighed Harry. He rubbed at his eyes before settling down in the seat the other Auror had just vacated. “There had better be a good reason for this.”

“You came,” Draco said, immediately diverging from the script he’d written in his head during the last hour. 

Harry gave Draco a little smile, the kind that tugged up only one side of his lip. “Almost didn’t. But it’s not every day Draco Malfoy turns himself into the DMLE for, what was it?” He read out loud from the little file in front of him. “Unauthorized production of controlled potions.”

Draco shrugged, trying not to be disarmed by Harry’s unexpectedly mellow behavior. “I expect they’ve already ransacked my flat by now.”

Harry turned a page in the report and nodded. “They did. And you know what they found?”

No, he didn’t. But he could imagine.

Any levity on Harry’s face had vanished. He pinned Draco with a furrowed gaze. “Dark Magic, Malfoy. Lots of it. Your entire place was a death trap. The first two Aurors to arrive on scene are at St. Mungo’s.”

“Merlin,” Draco breathed, eyes wide. “Are they…?”

Harry studied him for a long moment before he spoke. “They’ll be fine. They were smart enough to trigger the curse indirectly, though it still nearly blasted them to pieces. It seems they had some sort of warning.”

His hastily scribbled message had been somewhat heeded. Draco let out a small sigh of relief.

Harry folded his arms now, jaw setting in the way that it did when he was feeling particularly stubborn. He sounded reproachful. “Apparently, you’ve refused to say a word to anyone but me. Well I’m here now, so talk.”

Talking. That was usually one of his talents. Draco avoided Harry’s intense gaze, looking instead at an ink stain that marred the deep red robes near his elbow. He opened his mouth to speak, but hesitated several times without managing to produce any sound. 

“You’re not going to like this,” he settled on finally, voice muffled while he rubbed a hand down his face.

Wanted Plots

Now that October has officially begun, I'd like to kickstart Moze with some new threads:

The Withering: Moze thrives where there's action and intrigue, so in Teyvat, he'd be investigating strange and/or dangerous occurrences in order to report findings back to Feixiao about the seven nations. In particular, the Withering would be of interest, since it displays cancerous properties not unlike blights of the Abundance. The people of Sumeru have found ways to control it, however, so Moze has come to assist with the more dangerous work in order to observe the scholars' methods. Naturally, this leads to the discovery of the strange mechanisms, which turns this investigation completely around. Whatever the case, Moze is mostly here to learn. We can hash out how he winds up paired with your muse, since that will likely be muse-dependent. (Needs: Teyvat muse)

Dragonspine: Similar setup to the above. The course of the thread will be dependent on who Moze's partner ends up being and what their goals are. (Needs: Teyvat muse)

Back Alley of Belobog: I like the vibes of this one. I'm thinking of a plotline centered around Fragmentum hallucinations. Our muses find the evidence that the fence exists, but the Silvermane Guards still insist on ignorance. So Moze simply "borrows" their keys to get in. But now it won't let them back out... Something about settling the spirits, probably.

Herta's Space Station: Moze's arrival on the space station coincides with a recent mass hiring for the laboratories. He's cleaning the floors one day when your muse gets assigned to him to be trained. Except he was never officially hired. In fact, this is his idea of a vacation, and he's not particularly interested in telling your muse how to do their job. But they're the only ones left in this wing for the next several hours, so might as well try to make the most of it. Without sending the space station into lockdown.

You had been dating Sergio for almost two years now, and things had been going great until recently.

You've been feeling left out and ignored by your boyfriend, Sergio, for weeks now. He's been spending more time with his best friend, Marcos, than with you. Every time you try to make plans with him, he either cancels or tells you he's busy with Marcos. You can't help but feel jealous and wonder what's going on between them.

One day, you decide to confront Sergio about it. You call him on the phone and say, "Sergio, we need to talk. I feel like you've been avoiding me for weeks. What's going on?"

Sergio sighs and says, "I'm sorry, babe. I've been busy with futebol and hanging out with Marcos. He's been going through a tough time, and I want to be there for him." He hates having to lie to you right now, but he wants this surprise to be perfect for  you. His best friend, Marcos, has been assisting Sergio with organizing a week-long vacation surprise for you, which is why they have been hanging out a lot.

You feel your heart sink at his words. You understand that Marcos is going through a tough time, but it hurts to know that Sergio is spending more time with him than with you.

"Can't you make time for me too?" you ask, your voice quivering.

Sergio hesitates before replying, "I'll try, but I can't make any promises. Marcos needs me right now."

You hang up the phone feeling frustrated and hurt. You decide to give Sergio some space and see if he comes around.

Days turn into weeks, and Sergio continues to spend all his time with Marcos. You try to be patient and understanding, but it's hard not to feel jealous and neglected.

One evening as you check through your social media page, you come across a picture that Marcos shared of a boardwalk and crystal-clear water. In Marco's story, you can see that he appears to be in a tropical location, and in the bottom-right corner of the screen, you can see Sergio's tattooed arm. When Marcos posted the image, he must not have noticed Sergio's arm was there.

 Your heart sinks as you realize that Sergio has been keeping a secret from you.  You believe he's been planning a trip with Marcos, and you weren't invited. You assumed he was leaving for a Paris-Saint-Germain away match, NOT going out with Marcos once more.

Feeling hurt and angry, you call Sergio and demand an explanation. "Why didn't you tell me about the trip with Marcos? Why wasn't I invited?"

Sergio hesitates before saying, "I'm sorry, babe. Marcos and I have been planning this for months, and I didn't want to ruin it by telling you." Sergio believed that by speaking the flimsy truth, he would feel better. Of course, Sergio and Marcos have been preparing this vacation for months, but it is not for him and his best friend; it is for you and Sergio. They are at a resort so Sergio can check out the priciest water huts in person to ensure that it will be in top condition for you two.

You feel a lump form in your throat as you try to hold back tears. "So you're saying that Marcos is more important than me? That you'd rather spend time with him than me?"

Sergio's voice grows defensive as he says, "No, of course not. "

"What about me, then? Don't I deserve to feel special too?" you say, feeling your frustration boiling over.

Sergio sighs heavily, the line remains silent.

You shake your head and say, "I don't know, Sergio. I feel like you've been neglecting our relationship lately. I don't feel like a priority to you."

Sergio's voice grows softer as he says, "I'm sorry, babe. That's not it at all.. I promise all of this will make sense soon, okay?"

You feel your heart soften at his words, but you can't shake off the hurt and jealousy you've been feeling. "I don't know, Sergio. I just need some time to think."

Sergio sighs again and says, "Okay, I understand. I’ll be back home in two days, forreal this time. Then we can talk, ok?”

You say "mhm" in response and end the call without caring if it was petty or not. Of course you love your boyfriend, but lately he's been acting in ways that aren't quite to your taste. He generally clings to you and wants to be with you all the time, but during the past few weeks, you have only seen each other twice, which is very out of the ordinary.

Now, two days later, Sergio is finally back home. You're sitting on the couch, scrolling through your phone, when you hear the front door open. You look up to see Sergio walking into the room, looking tired but happy to see you.

"Hey," he says, walking over to give you a hug.

"Hey," you reply, hugging him back. "How was your trip?"

"It was good," he says, pulling away from you. "Marcos and I saw some really nice things."

You can't help but feel a pang of jealousy as he mentions Marcos, but you push it aside and try to focus on the conversation.

"That's good," you say. "I'm glad you had a good time."

Sergio looks at you for a moment, as if trying to read your expression. Finally, he speaks.

"Listen, I know we had a bit of an argument the other day," he says. "And I wanted to explain why I've been distant lately."

"Okay," you say, feeling your heart rate speed up a bit.

"It's not because I'm upset with you or anything like that," he says. "It's just that I've been planning something for us."

"Planning something?" you ask, feeling confused.

"Yeah," he says, sitting down next to you on the couch. "Marcos and I have been planning a week-long getaway for us."

"A getaway?" you repeat, feeling your eyes widen in surprise.

"Yeah," Sergio says, smiling. "I wanted to do something special for us, and Marcos has been helping me plan it."

You sit there for a moment, feeling a bit dumbfounded. You hadn't expected this at all. Knowing what he's been up to makes you feel terrible about how you've been treating him. You wish you could take those stinging accusations—along with the caustic attitude that accompanied them— when you practically said he didn't care about you anymore and you felt as though the love was no longer there. You know that you've probably hurt him, and you're filled with regret.

"I...I don't know what to say," you finally manage to say.

"I know we've been going through a rough patch lately because of how busy futebol has been," Sergio says. "And I wanted to do something to show you how much I love you and how much you mean to me."

You look over at him, feeling a lump form in your throat. Despite your earlier anger and frustration, you can't help but feel touched by his words. You're grateful that Sergio is forgiving and understanding. He knows that you're not perfect and that you make mistakes. He loves you despite your flaws, and that gives you hope that things will be okay.

"I...I don't know what to say," you say again, feeling a bit emotional. "That's...that's really sweet of you,” you can't help but feel a sense of joy bubbling up inside you. You had no idea that he was planning something so special for the two of you, and it's clear that he put a lot of thought and effort into making it happen. 

"I'm so sorry that I was acting bitchy towards you. Now everything does make sense," you say, giving him a small smile. "I can't believe you did all this for us."

Sergio grins back at you, looking pleased with himself. "I wanted to do something special for you, mi amor," he says. "Something that would remind us of why we fell in love in the first place."

You nod, feeling a warmth spreading through your chest. 

"So, where are we going?" you ask, feeling a bit of excitement building up inside you.

As he moves closer to you on the couch so you can see his phone screen as well, Sergio takes his phone out of his pocket.

"It's a surprise," he says, grinning at you. "But I'll give you a hint. It involves sun, sand, and lots of relaxation."

You raise your eyebrows, feeling your heart start to race. You still can't believe that Sergio has planned a trip for the two of you, and you can't wait to find out more.

As you watch, Sergio pulls up a page with pictures of a stunning beach resort, complete with crystal clear water, palm trees, and luxurious villas.

"Say hello to our little slice of paradise," he says, pointing to the screen. "We're going to be staying here for a week."

You stare at the pictures, feeling a sense of awe wash over you. "Sergio, this is incredible," you say, turning to him with a huge grin on your face. "I can't believe you did all this for me….. For us!"

Sergio grins back at you, looking pleased with himself. "I wanted to do something special for you, mi amor," he says. "And I wanted to remind you how much I love you."

You feel a warmth spreading through your chest, and you can't help but lean in to give him a kiss.

"I love you too, Sergio," you say, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment wash over you. "But do me a favor," you begin to say, drawing his full attention back to you, "If you ever ignore me again, I'm going to strangle you." He chuckles at your joke before swiftly embracing you and kissing you on the forehead, saying, "I'll never do it again, princess, I promise."

As the days pass, you and Sergio spend your time lounging on the beach, sipping cocktails, and exploring the island. You take long walks along the shore, hand in hand, watching the sun set over the water. You have deep, meaningful conversations about your hopes and dreams for the future, and you laugh and play like you haven't in ages. It's like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders, and you're able to relax and just enjoy each other's company without any distractions or stresses. As your week comes to a close, you and Sergio sit on your balcony, watching the stars twinkle overhead. You lean your head on his shoulder, feeling a sense of contentment and joy wash over you.

"Sergio, thank you for this week," you say, feeling a bit emotional. "It's been incredible." Sergio turns to look at you, his eyes soft. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, mi amor," he says. "I just wanted to remind you how much I love you, and how committed I am to making our relationship work." You nod, feeling a sense of gratitude and happiness. I've been reading a lot of short yuri stories by Toyo Totan & Iwami Kiyoko lately and I'm excited to use that inspiration to improve some of my own OC stuff too! (I recommend 'Last Summer Vacation' !)

And yes I'm fluent in Japanese !! I'm actually an officer in my college's JP language community & I used to translate manga on the side !! I'm completely self-taught through videos though, so while my listening and speaking are fluent I actually suck at reading LOL I'm so bad that when I translated manga I'd use my camera's text to speech to do everything...

I'm a huge language nerd too! I watch a bunch of scientific videos/TED-Talks on how our brain learns languages and tips to learn things more efficiently! For example, apparently when you first start learning a language you should never try to speak it right off! If you try speaking before listening for a very long time, your brain just kinda solidifies your verbal pronunciation and it can have long-term effects on not only how you sound, but also how you HEAR sounds! This is also why some think that children learn languages better, because they spend a long time exposed to it while being non-verbal. I love this fact bc I kinda experienced it myself!

I spent about 2 years just watching JP translated videos of people speaking naturally (not videos aimed at foreigners, nor shows that have acting, more like vlog-type stuff!) and only started speaking when exposed to others who could speak it too ! Especially during COVID, I think I was pretty much spending ~80% of my day listening and thinking in Japanese so I was very immersed! And because of that, I'm a little famous in my community for having the best pronunciation 😤 Going to on a trip to Japan & translating for the people who went with me also boosted my confidence a lot! I'll never forget this guy at an izakaya who asked how many years I've been living in Osaka LOL ("three days actually!")

I think the biggest downside though is that once u learn another language, ur first language skills get bad.. i often think up half-sentences and sayings/metaphors in Jap that just sound wrong when you try to translate it back into Eng ;;; i sometimes trail off when i speaking because i forget the english word for certain things, but my friends are now just used to my weird metaphors so!

I went on such a long tangent!! But anyways!! Thank u for always sending me the sweetest asks, I always save them to my phone and I'm pretty sure all my friends know abt u bc I always show them the nice things u say 😭!! And yes!!! Listen, I would be thrilled if someone was giving me stickers for doing a good job. It's the simple human brain, we like rewards. I have a sticker system for when I'm actually writing my novels where I award myself a sticker for every 500 words I write. Needless to say they haven't seen any use in ages because I abandoned my novels for fanfic lol. I tried using them for that instead but it was harder because I never know how many words things are gonna end up. At least with novels I know it's gonna be over 50k so like 500 is a good goal for a daily amount. return of tuesday! i had two weeks in the UK which was very fun but i am definitely vacationed out - i miss my routine. longer trips like that are only fun towards the end if you have a home base that isn't just a hotel room.

listening: newest coral bones ep is very chill. it's only three songs and they're all very vibey but i think my favorite is 'seatac'. i wish they were still posting on bandcamp. alas.

finally, i saw st. vincent live in london this past weekend!!! it was a really good concert, lots of fun, interesting venue. she's definitely got an insane stage presence. the opening act (heartworms) was fun too, my brother and his friend weren't interested and described it as 'moody goth bullshit' and i was like well. that is right up my alley. you boys enjoy the bar im gonna go be moody and goth. it was good!

i think if i do standing room tickets again i need to invest in some platform shoes, at least two or three inches, because some of that was a struggle to see Anything ... i did manage to find a spot where i had a decent little corridor between heads to see the stage, however i was directly behind a guy in a bowler (?? fedora?? idfk) hat and his boyfriend who kept moving around and dancing (fine) and gyrating (also fine ?? i do not consider st. vincent particularly gyrate-able music but what do i know) so i also had to do some leaning side-to-side to see around them. one of her songs has a line about jumping off the london bridge and the way they both looked at each other and pointed gleefully at themselves while going "meeee" was very funny. i bet they're on tumblr, they had the vibes. hello gay guys at the london st. vincent concert, if you're reading this.

reading: i read 'when the angels left the old country' by sacha lamb in the two days that i was alone in edinburgh before my brother came! it was good, speedy read, i enjoyed the characters and overall conceit well enough. probably not on the to-buy list, i'd just rented an ebook for my trip.

misc: it's good to be back ... now i'm back in The Grind (work) but i don't mind it. despite the jetlag i'm feeling refocused and excited to get moving on stuff again. i liked a lot of stuff about the uk (trains, vibes) but i also did not like some stuff (why are the cold meds So weak there lmfao) and overall i'm glad to e home :)

I'll start with Haruka first, because I haven't mentioned her and Shizuku in the post (I planned to do so in my first draft, but it got mysteriously deleted)

Shizuku and Haruka are the children of Mercurius and Bellona. We thought it would be so incredibly silly to make Shizuku Mercurius because the god of travellers having a daughter who gets lost in the streets, BUT Camp Jupiter also fits her issues about not fitting in with the standards and it has a lot of potential. Besides, Shiho is already in Jupiter, so we don't have to split them <3

Haruka is one of the two daughters of Bellona we picked for them, the other one being An. Bellona was a minor goddess of war, so Haruka CAN still make battle plans and she'd be amazing at it, quickly becoming a highly respected member of Camp Jupiter. We REALLY wanted Haruka and An being sisters, while also rivaling each other on "who's the better daughter", BECAUSE THAT IS BASICALLY THEIR FRIENDSHIP IN CANON, they love each other, but they get silly during training <3

Since I just talked about An - Toya got Apollo (Roman). I like to imagine him getting claimed and being like "Thank gods", because that means Harumichi wouldn't be his actual dad. What does that mean for his family and his older brothers? UHHHHHH, who knows?

N25 is also evenly split between camps, with Mizuki (Aphrodite) and Ena (Greek Apollo) being in HalfBlood [Akito and Ena having different dads but same mom still makes them siblings], while Mafuyu (Minerva) and Kanade (Pluto) being in Jupiter.

So far for Mizuki I imagined them being admitted to the camp early, thinking to themself "yknow i think im trans" and Aphrodite gets like "say no more" and gives them the magical girl transformation that comes with getting claimed.

Ena would be kind of mad about being Apollo, because that means she would naturally have the skills it takes for her art, but imagine now having TWO dads you want to please.

Kanade Pluto was picked mainly for Tricologe, but also something something about Hades kids having dead moms LMAO

Still, she loves her human dad and applies for leave permits to visit him, the praetors allow her as long as she brings someone (Minori) to go with her. With Minori's luck they usually return without a scratch.

With Mafuyu, we gave her Minerva, which is another "Thank gods the human mom isn't my real mom" moment like Toya had. Mafuyu usually stays in Camp Jupiter all year long and if she goes out, it's for expeditions or simply vacations, but doesn't return home. I can also imagine her pulling through studies despite the natural ADHD and dyslexia from being a demigod by translating everything to Latin or pacing around her room while studying, although she doesn't really need to do so now that she's at the camp.

I do really like the archery idea for her though! Camp Jupiter used to be REALLY sceptical about bow usage and even with Frank being a praetor now, I can still imagine people giving bow users "the look". Mafuyu would probably be good with all kinds of weaponry, but her journey would be with what she WANTS to be, so an archer, but yet again being expected to pick something else. Amazing idea.

2024.03.05 - march and all the things before it

one day, after everything is through, i'll turn around and still have you.

excuse my messy desk, it just felt like it added to the photos of where i'm at mentally.

first year of med school has been a whirlwind of amazing new things and also a bit of a disaster. here's a list of updates in no particular order of just everything that comes to mind since i started school:

i had my first course failure ever (like.... ever.) and it's taken a huge toll on my psyche. i have to remediate it in the summer and it sucks because i wanted to do other things and i have to just sit with this feeling of having failed something big time for the next two months until then.

before that, though, i got thru first semester for the most part unscathed. a few bumps and bruises but nothing crazy.

im a part of student government and had a major success in getting rid of a really awful lecture that people have been trying to get changed or removed for at least the last three years.

i got to visit my partner abroad for christmas! it was wonderful and i miss them so much. it makes it that much harder to be down here i think.

i have gone to the beach and stared at the ocean a few times and it helps but i don't do it often.

back in august, i had a major back injury that limited my mobility almost completely for two days. since then, it's been on and off pain for months and i finally started going to PT. hopefully we can make the pain go away because apparently it has already made my left leg decently weaker than my right leg 💀

my cat had a really bad cancer scare back in september and he's only now beginning to recover. i love him so much and we had come to terms with not putting him thru surgery to remove the tumor and just wanted to keep him comfortable and at home. my mom fed him holy water and he's managed to get better. ❤️‍🩹

i've forcing myself to get back into journaling and reading because i need hobbies that are off-screen and i'm limited from exercising until my back is a little better.

i bought noise-canceling headphones (pictured above) and they've changed my life tbh. i don't know how i managed before.

i didnt used to burn candles but now they help me turn my brain into focusing mode and it's changed my relationship with stress and studying.

i went on a random mini vacation with my family to nintendo world in february and i think i healed a part of me that i didn't know needed healing.

i think that's all the biggest updates i have to share. i've been documenting med school and life more often on my private twitter account but it feels more important to me to make sure i get it here in this blog. i want to be more consistent with posting here again! i might add it to my to-do lists when i update newsletters and socmed. but i also like this blog just being a space for me to be without a lot of pressure to keep up with it. idk. thank u for being here! for reading and for sticking with me 🫡 till next post

this is an excuse to go off about silent hill if youd like (im considering playing it)

(i let out the most devilish laugh upon reading this LOL)

my god i don't even know where to begin. i'll just talk about SH1 and SH2 bcuz 1. those are the two games im more familiar with (i've watched playthroughs of all games but it's been several years so my knowledge has rotted away lol) and 2. if i had to tell someone where to start playing, i'd say either SH1 or SH2, depending on how much you can tolerate old-school game jankiness (SH1 is definitely rough around the edges, but im enjoying it so far)

even though my SH posting has spoiled a lot of details, i'll try to avoid talking about the bigger spoilers here in case other ppl care about that

silent hill 1

(huge heads up: you can only control harry via tank controls. this is one of the major factors as to why a lot of players skip SH1 since tank controls are a very archaic way to control a character in a 3D space. but honestly with some time and practice, you'll learn to get used to it and maybe even appreciate the way how the game handles certain fixed camera angles to create a sense of unease)

SH1 is about a widowed father, harry mason, going on a quest to save his daughter, cheryl, after crashing the car off a cliff and into the town of silent hill, which is where cheryl wanted to go for a vacation. silent hill has been warped by a supernatural force and you must go through what's essentially a haunted version of the town and fight through monsters to find cheryl. idk how to explain more than that without spoiling the good parts, so just take my word that the reasoning behind the town's supernatural stuff is actually super tragic

there are multiple endings: good, good+, bad, bad+, and UFO. the endings are determined by which side quests you do (or lack of any side quests for the bad ending). you can only get the UFO ending after beating the game at least one time and playing on "new fear" (this is basically new game+), so if you don't have the time for that, you can just look it up on yt

silent hill 2

taking place after the events of SH1, SH2 is about a widowed man, james sunderland, who travels to silent hill after receiving a letter from his late wife, mary, where she tells him to meet her there. the place still has supernatural forces, but now it seems to be tailored to whoever is drawn to silent hill, as shown with the other characters featured in SH2. as james continues his search, both he and you gradually learn that there's something that james is repressing, and the town is trying to tear it out of him to make him face it head-on

idk if you know the ending of SH2 already, but in case you don't, the buildup to the big reveal is honestly pretty fucking insane (it's the one thing i wish i had no knowledge about so that i can truly play through the story blind), and it's why SH2 is usually regarded as the most popular in the series

again SH2 has multiple endings: leave, maria, in water, rebirth, dog, and UFO. instead of side quests, the first three endings are determined by certain actions you take throughout the game, they can either add or deduct points from an ending point system, and your final count will determine the ending. rebirth, dog, and UFO can only be unlocked after beating the game at least once and playing in new game+

EDIT: oh my god i forgot to mention something crucial, if you're gonna play SH2, do NOT play the HD collection version, it's just a straight up downgrade. get the enhanced edition for PC if your computer can handle it, or just emulate it for ps2

Hi everyone! Time for the bi-annual M.T. update where I just throw everything into the void and let people react as needed. I had meant to do this in January but forgot (which there now IS an explanation for that I'll sum up later)

This year so far hasn't been bad despite losing my Grandma in January. I've grown really close to my Idol Group (Indy Idols go check them out on TikTok, Insta, YouTube, they're chaotic I love them) and it's been good to have more friends and make more connections.

I got to travel to DC twice this year and I'll be heading to eastern PA for a mini vacation at a convention. I'm trying to expand where I go but I have to save for right now so after September I'll be done with cons for the year.

I won a Best Masters award for craftsmanship! I revamped a cosplay of mine and won and I was so so proud! She's my baby. I'll throw A pic in at the end of her.

Speaking of saving.... I have to unfortunately save all my money to cover bills for November and December.... I won't be working because I will be getting top surgery!!! My surgery date is November 13th and I'm so excited and also extremely nervous as surgery scares me. I'm doing a combination of a hysterectomy and top surgery so I just have one surgery and I'm done with the physical aspect of my transition! I'll be on T for the rest of my life but in the past few months nothing has really changed so I think I'm kinda where Im gonna be and that's fine with me.

On the mental health side, they figured out that I do not have Major Depressive Disorder, I have Borderline personality disorder. Which makes perfect sense as to why I do what I do. Now we're treating it and learning coping mechanisms so we're getting better! I have a great therapist that has been helping a lot

I also have been diagnosed with ADHD. Which is ALSO not a surprise. I started having a lot of issues that we found might be related to it and I decided to get tested. Further testing confirmed that I do have it, surprising no one.

Health wise, I'm also doing better! In May I contracted COVID which sucked ass and I'm still dealing with fatigue but I've lost like 20 pounds and working to lose some more. My goal is pre COVID weight than hopefully my high school weight. I've started building a habit to go to the gym and getting over my gym anxiety.

I still have Sonia, my little kitty baby, shes my bestie. My little brother is still my best buddy and I've been very close with the family I have (my mom is touch and go, we talk but not a lot). Overall I'm doing great and I'm very thankful for this year turning up despite it's very shitty beginning. Ty for reading if you do

i’m the same age as you and i have read a lot of rpfs up til now. but now I have to agree with the anon who messaged about real person fics.

i read your long reply to them & it really is just excuses that we make to carry on posting/reading rpfs. because it doesn’t matter that it’s “fiction”, i realise now it’s really gross to be posting smut about actual real people.

that anon had a point. how would you feel if strangers online posted stories about people having sex with you? or about sexual things happening to you? or dark!fics like murder or rape? or if a stranger was posting fics about a friend of yours? because i know i’d feel awful if someone was writing adult stuff about me or a friend.

we don’t know lizzie’s private life experiences so we don’t know if she has any triggers or if she’s ever been sexually assaulted or she’s had bad experiences with any of the adult situations that you write her in.

you’re now just choosing to be ignorant and disrespectful and selfish because getting likes on your fics is more important than respecting a real person who you’re meant to be a fan of.

and yes, posting smut stories about her without her consent is just as bad as taking photos of her without her consent like paparazzi or journalists writing lies about her and her family.

it’s about consent and respect. as a reader i realize that now. you don’t have her consent to post sexual stories written about her, and you know she would never give consent for strangers online to write sexual stories about her as a real person if asked for it.
