Tomorrow -Dabi x Reader

A/n: I must warn you... I'm rusty xD

It's not my usual writing style, for some reason I default to this when I'm trying to get out of a block? *shrugs*

Anyways here you go, I hope it's not too terrible. <3

Not edited, I'll probably rewrite/add onto it later on.

Warnings!: hints(?) of Dabi's past, hinted nudity (showering together- not vividly described!), Dabi overusing his quirk, mention of shutting down when confronted, mentions of wounds, mention of slowing killing oneself (overusing quirk), idk what else? Please let me know if I miss anything!! <3

Heavy footprints alert you to Dabi entering through your apartment window, his eyes dark with exhaustion, his body covered in wounds. Most noticeably fresh *burns*. Your heart aches for him as you gently help him into your shared bedroom, he immediately slumps into you as you lead him to the bathroom.  

His eyes flutter open as you begin cleaning out his wounds, swiftly beginning to close again. You smile- all be it painfully as you tend to the man who stole your heart. You clean out all the visible cuts first, helping him up as you walk him into the shower.  

He slumps into you as you bathe him, your hands gentle and loving. Foreign to his rough past. He trusts you completely, falling asleep before flinching awake seconds later. You don’t say anything, yet. He’s exhausted, he needs rest before you scold him for his reckless behavior for the umpteenth time.  

You gently dry his hair, helping him into pajamas. You apply aloe vera to his burns, ignoring the hissing curses he mutters under his breath, weakly attempting to push your fast-working hands away.  

Once you’re finished you quickly pull on one of his baggy T-shirts, quickly finishing the necessities of your night-time routine. Lifting the covers up, you- with great difficulty- push Dabi into bed, his turquoise eyes too exhausted to even process what’s happening, he instinctively just melts into you.  

After several minutes you catch your breath before climbing in beside him, laying his head on your chest. He melts into you, wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his face into your chest.  

Mere seconds later he’s fast asleep, his entire body relaxing in the presence of what he cherishes most. 

When the morning comes, you’ll scold him for being so reckless- so *stupid*. He was slowly killing himself, and you were forced to watch it happen. You would, once again, try to convince him to forget about his father and run away with you- forget about the league, about society, about *revenge*.  

He would most likely shoo you away, stubbornly refusing to listen to you once again. He would brush away your concerns and worries, tell you how silly you’re being, and shut down if you pushed the matter. 

But for now, you could just hold him. He could rest, find peace, and be loved for the first time in a *long* time.  

The rest could wait until tomorrow.

despite all the news and gossip from school your day was going surprisingly well, a bit too well making your stomach turn as you walked home. entering the door you began checking every lock and hole was closed tight before retiring into your living room waiting for your parents to return. mindlessly watching a tv show you get a text saying that their plans were taking longer than expected and assure you that they would be home before you went to school the following day. wrapping your arms around each other in an attempt to calm yourself down you decided the best place to be was room, turning off the tv you stand up to walk over when your phone begins to ring.

"unknown caller...maybe it's from their hotel room? they did mention that they would call to wish me goodnight?...hello? mom? dad?"

"scary night, isn't it?"

"huh?"

"being all alone at home must make you scared, perfect time to watch a scary movie wouldn't you agree?"

chills travel down your spine when you recognize the tone of his voice, chaeryeong had mentioned it one of the last times you spoke to her. it seemed to be just a rumor or tall tale to scare the freshman but now hearing it for yourself you felt your knees go weak.

"w-who is this?"

"i just wanna play a game." remembering the consequence of those who hung up on this ghostface killer you slowly make your way to your room and shut the blinds clutching your phone.

"a-and what happens if i refuse?"

"i'm ok doll, just a bit bruised but glad to hear your voice. although i was told to keep talking to you and you would do the rest?" remembering the request, you take a deep breath and close your eyes.

How would Shikamaru and his alpha react to finding out he’s pregnant again? Like they planned on one or two and already have three and now pregnant with a fourth because their birth control keeps failing. Especially if people think Shikamaru is doing it on purpose because of his obsession.

"It's positive?" you asked as Shikamaru came out of the bathroom, looking exhausted.

"Yep," he said, collapsing down on the sofa next to you with his eyes closed. You heard the muffled sounds of some sort of children's toy activating as he sat on it, but you both ignored it.

"Again?"

"Yep."

"Damn," you let out a breath and sank back into the couch until you were fully reclining just like your mate.

You both sat in silence for a while as the information sank in. You already had three children, an eight-year-old daughter, and two sons, five and three respectively. Your eldest was the only one you had planned.

"What are we going to do?" you asked finally. "We can afford it money wise, but we're spread thin as it is, another baby would-"

"Stop talking," Shikamaru said firmly, stopping you in your tracks. He opened his eyes and heaved himself upright. "If you speak about it out loud, my obsession instinct might...it might..."

"It might trigger and get weird like last time," you finished in sudden realisation, remembering the way Shikamaru had switched over night from booking an abortion to being distraught at the thought and refusing to follow through. "It hasn't triggered yet?"

"No," Shikamaru said calmly. "So, I'm going to fetch a clan medic right now, just for a 'routine health check', of course. Nothing else."

He was planning to trick himself into denial long enough to have an abortion. You shouldn't be so surprised by how intelligent your mate was after all these years, but you still found yourself impressed by his quick thinking.

"Right," you agreed. "Do you need me to come with?"

"No, it's just a routine health check, there's no need," he said, calmly getting up from the sofa and walking to the door. You followed him out and watched him slip on his shoes.

Everything was moving quickly, but you felt like the quickly forming burden had just been lifted from your shoulders. You simply didn't have the time and energy to give to another pup, it wouldn't be fair on anyone.

"And after my health check," Shikamaru continued, opening the door. "I am booking an appointment to have all my problematic organs removed."

That made a lot of sense. You had already been sterilised once but the surgery had reversed itself, something you only realised when Shikamaru already had the positive test in his hand. If he simply didn't have the necessary requirements for a baby, there would be no more babies. And maybe, just maybe, you'd finally have a form of birth control that actually worked.

"I'll watch the pups, and I'll be here when you get back," you promised, trying to reassure him as best as you could without mentioning anything specific.

Shikamaru nodded, took one final deep breath, and then stepped outside, shutting the door gently to avoid waking the two youngest pups up from their naps.

You stood for a moment, processing everything that had just happened, before a wave of determination washed over you. Your mate was going through something difficult that he had to do alone, so you would do everything in your power to make sure he came home to a clean house, delicious dinner, hot bath, and a massage.

You rolled up your sleeves, energised and ready to make the most of the remaining 20 minutes of nap time. It was time to clean like you'd never cleaned before.

Spy x Family Code: White thoughts!

Alright, time to write down my thoughts about the film! I liked it a lot, and for this anime only it was a HUGE satisfactory dose after not having had anything new since December 🥲 there were a few parts that I found meh, and I will mention them here too, but overall I got a very positive view of it!

Related to this, my mom was in the next room where I was sitting watching the film, and when I finished and passed by to get some water, she asked me what film I watched that made me laugh so much. So I think that speaks for itself 😂

Anyway, on to the film!

Having seen the trailer where Twilight rips off the disguise of a woman with long, curly blonde hair, as soon as I saw her here I was like is that her? But then that guy appeared and I recognized his voice and, dare I say I was confused XD

Damn, isn't that past their rating? XD

And then the music started! STRIX theme with a new twist for the film!

I think by this point we've already shrugged away Twilight's ability to make disguises. It gets even crazier near the end, so it should be of no surprise that he just disguised himself as that woman. Lucky she happened to wear a choker, too, good cover for his Adam's apple.

The way they showed the woman wrapped in a blanket underneath the desk, though 😳 that's the kind of visual you'd use to show a character died. What am I supposed to infer from this, guys?!

Then we cut to Yor!

There's a review on letterboxd saying how easy the film is to watch and follow for someone who hasn't watched the original, and I'm happy to hear that because as someone who already knows these characters and their dynamics, it didn't feel like it dragged on too much on that.

Yor, ever being the sweetheart, will call a guy a traitorous scumbag yes but she will be kind as ever when she kills him 🥰

The way she dodged the bullets! Queen! And also a set up to later show her dodge all the ammunition thrown from the shooters and Type F!

This. Was. Amazing. I actually gasped out loud. The animators understood the assignment, 10/10.

Right after that, we see Loid reach his door, and for the first time we see him go to use keys. A few other times I remember anyone opening the door they just... opened it. You'd think an apartment where a spy and an assassin live would have better security! XD

I love how they kinda showed it like Yor was going to attack Loid, and then Loid just turned and went like "Oh hey beautiful wife, welcome home! :D" It must have looked funny for anyone who hasn't seen the anime/manga before XD

Yor wants to cook! Everybody hide!

That... is a horror of an omelet. Yor's cooking is always for the "congrats lil buddy that’s the worst anyone’s ever done it" meme. She does try, though, bless her heart.

Anya evades the horror. And Loid wants to make... peanut butter pizza???? Is that even a thing??? WITH MEAT ON TOP???

What does it say about this film that this isn't the weirdest thing to happen in it

Knowing that the story can't veer a lot far from the anime/manga canon, I already knew Anya wouldn't earn a Stella in that competition. But it was a good set-up for the rest of the film to move on from.

Twilight read Henderson's lips through a window and through the latter's thick moustache, and lip reading is already hard to do accurately, if not nearly impossible. Boy's nuts. But I think it only prepared us for a fucking falcon to fly above him and throw him the message from WISE. Show-offs XD

A rare view of Berlint!

The idea of having another guy take over Operation Strix from Twilight feels a little shallow. It's already a very delicate and long-term operation, it feels that it wouldn't make sense to replace their best agent with just a dude just because said dude has connections.

Twilight meets with Nightfall outside, and Yor sees them across all those streets (I mean, she is an assassin with a deadly aim) and... she doesn't recognize Nightfall? Is this supposed to take place before Nightfall visits the Forger household?

I mean, at the current time in the anime, Yor is supposed to be over her fear of getting replaced, but I get why they retreated back a little, so they could explain the later scene of Loid taking her hand and reminding her of his vows.

Very conveniently, Yor's coworkers are chatting about cheating men, and Yor, being inexperienced with relationships, immediately believes everything, her suspicions even taking root with what she just saw.

Back home, Twilight thinks about how, since he's dismissed from Operation Strix, he'll have to move out, and the camera shows their happy family picture 🥺 he's not ready to admit his feelings to himself but the narrative is.

Making the dessert that's the favourite of the judge and in particular the one he grew up with feels kinda cheating, no? XD

Come on, Loid. A child filling her bag with toys does not deserve that murder glare 😂

That train looked a little too modern for the supposed 60s/70s aesthetic. I know Germany has some top trains (as does Japan) but like, still XD it's very different from the train we see on the very first episode when Twilight boards one for Berlint.

Lovely visuals, though!

I wonder if there's any system as to how Bond's powers work. He has the vision of Anya finding the suitcase and opening it... but that's creating a sort of paradox because without the vision coming to him and without Anya seeing it, it wouldn't have been made true. I mean, I get why it was put there, but still.

Again, the story needed a little backtracking in order for Yor's doubts to make sense. I'm not sure how much they contributed to the whole story, but at least there it was funny. The small awkward laugh she throws at the end before she exits their booth to go look for Anya was hilarious XD

The following part was intense! I found myself saying "Run Anya run!" even though I knew from trailers that they'd eventually catch her anyway.

So the microfilm hides intelligence about a research lab in Westalis. Hmm.

I think it was at this point I noticed that they had Anya react to people's thoughts way too little. I get that it can get repetitive but with her curiosity she would have tried to look for more information through the guys' thoughts.

"Chocolate thieves" is actually perfect to describe those two. They were conveniently - and hilariously - incompetent.

But it did get intense. It's always like that when a bad guy threatens to hurt, let alone kill, a child.

I love how Yor asked Anya to close her eyes while she was beating up the guys but then told her she can open them when they were down and fully expected her to believe her lie that they just passed out XD

I love the music in the restaurant. Poor Bond being left alone outside where it's snowing, though 🥲 at least they brought him food!

Yor notices that it's rare for Loid to wear turtlenecks, and that's actually true. Too bad, though, they fit him so nicely :)

I actually laughed out loud at the guys jumping on Yuri to stop him. They were prepared. They knew who they were dealing with XD

"Rubble and Bonds"... the chef is very wholesome but he literally named his restaurant after his trauma and like... dude. Therapy exists. And then he starts laying out his trauma thick while Twilight is sitting there like yup this doesn't affect me at all

I don't think he was prepared for that when he asked about the restaurant's name. I was kinda disappointed they showed the exact same footage of him as a kid from the first episode. I think they could have afforded making a few seconds of new footage of the same imagery. But maybe that's just my anime-only ass who has been waiting for a certain manga arc to be animated for nearly two years now 😶

Snidel appears! And he has the absolute nerve to just... steal the meremere plate from someone else's table. Perfect way to make us hate him.

And... I'm sorry. I have to say it. When Snidel challenges Loid to a game and the camera focuses on Loid... that zoom-in and fade to black was SO CRINGEY. Sorry XD

The music there was nice, though. I think I notice a tiny bit of James Bond music influence.

Fucking Snidel shifting the goalposts with the amounts of sugar. That's not being detailed, that's not explaining the rules of the game properly. They really wanted us to hate the guy.

Twilight looks really stricken by the fact that he lost. And we know it's not because of despair - since he immediately says they can have meremere the next day - and it's not because his pride was hurt... so you can't take it out of my mind that it was because he was disgusted by how a grown-ass man practically stole a piece of cake from a little child, and Twilight was unable to stop him.

But then XD Loid has the absolute gall to ask a chef for his recipe, and then reprimand Anya for calling him stingy. Like mah dude it was already a far-fetched request to have the guy give you the recipe XD

Twilight being totally not suspicious and bolting through the market to buy all the ingredients. Cause that's what normal people do.

The way Twilight tries to cheer Yor up and he only manages to make her feel worse never disappoints XD

Right, I forgot this film was released in December in Japan. It feels weird for it to have a winter-y, almost Christmas-y feeling while I have my A/C on XD

I like how Twilight actually cared enough to expose the guy at the shooting gallery, and advise him to run an honest business. You'd think this would be low on his priorities... but having a child will expand your sensitivities. It feels similar to how he encouraged Carroll Campbell into playing tennis more fairly and to depend on his own strengths.

And then he wonders why a little child has fun on a train ride XD

I... am not sure how I feel about Yor's outburst there. It feels directly inspired by the Disastrous Date, if not a copy of it, and I'm not sure it helps Yor's character develop in any way. I mean, again, I get that the film can't allow the characters to develop a lot since it can't veer from canon, but still, it felt a little forced just to give Yor more screentime and to have a very subtle twiyor tease.

Anya finding out about divorce through Becky's soap-opera filter, though XD

They feel too confident leaving Anya all alone (even if she's with Bond) in a strange town. I know they can keep an eye on her from the ferris wheel cabin, but still.

Now that's a character development moment you can have without veering from canon: having Yor feel guilty for allowing Anya to notice her dark mood, and then feeling happy that Anya pushed her and Loid to having a moment together to talk things out.

Also, beautiful visuals!

It was really sweet seeing Anya and Bond play, and then Yor joining in. That makes it more plausible that the film is set earlier on in the story, since it looks like Yor isn't used to playing with Anya.

No, really, what did that woman who was at Franky's kiosk want to ask him when she would come by with her friend??? 😳

One day the way Twilight abuses Franky's services will come bite him in the ass, I'm calling it now.

Yet another scene where character/relationship dynamic can happen without veering from canon: Loid comes back to the hotel and says he'll go out again, Anya says she wants to come too, and Loid tells her she has to stay in the hotel. Anya goes back to the bedroom dejected, but Yor reminds him it's a family trip and they're supposed to spend this time together, connecting that to her memories of Yuri being happy whenever he spent time with her.

And I think that speaks to another level of distance Twilight has kept from his emotions; he denies himself that he loves his family, but that also leads him to forget that his family won't like missing out on quality time with him.

I especially noticed his surprised reaction at Yor saying that being away from loved ones can make one feel lonely. I don't think Twilight has allowed himself to grasp just how lonely he's felt all these years, it was just the norm for him to have no-one. He's forgotten what it's like to have loved ones and to miss them when you don't get to spend enough time with them, and he's also forgotten that for most people, this is how everyday life is like. We love people, we like spending time with them, we miss them when we haven't seen them in a while. A master of disguises he may be, but this role forces him to face the thing he understands the least: human relationships.

And so, he realizes that Anya's motivation here wasn't petulance or restlessness. It was her need to have fun with him. He considered it easier to sneak around to find the liqueur if they weren't with him, but he failed to consider that casting them aside would actually impact them. Give yourself some credit, dude 🥺

Nightfall: I will surprise Twilight with my effectiveness!

Twilight when he sees her unexpectedly:

I did love however how he looked so sternly at her when they were outside. Like lady, first, bad timing, second, this is why Handler didn't want you to be the one to help Twilight XD

Once again, Bond's power works in a form of paradox. He saw the shop where the liqueur was, and Anya went there because she saw it. If she hadn't seen it, she wouldn't have gone, and Bond wouldn't have had the vision.

I love how the military guys get a rough sketch of Anya and go like "Nah no-one can actually look like this" XD

Anya must have swiped some dalcs as she ran off. That liqueur wasn't gonna be cheap!

Poor Bond!

Endo has surrounded Anya with two physically exceptional parents and a big strong dog to protect her, so it's hard to make a case of her getting kidnapped believable. Realistically, I think Bond would have fought harder to keep her safe, but to achieve the kidnapping the bad guys would have had to get more violent with him. That would make for a sadder scene and also take away from the humor of those guys' incompetence, so the most violence against an animal they could resort to was a conveniently falling beer can.

And thus, the "Anya Has to Poop" side plot starts! With the amount of fear she went through in those scenes, I'm surprised she didn't just... accidentally let go 😶

I just realized when Loid was checking the plane's radio they were also refuelling it. Again, kind of a surprise the whole system worked XD They were a little too chill about the fact that Anya was with the military, though? Maybe I got the wrong vibe off of their acting, lol.

The way that Yor decides at the last moment to join Loid and just... runs and jumps into a plane that's right on takeoff. Madwoman. I love her.

Meanwhile, at least Nightfall is funny XD

They really went on and made an entire sequence in a different animation style for a poop joke. Respect where it's due 👏

Someone: So how did you save world peace this time? Anya: I refused to take a shit.

The incompetent duo have a bedpan that's shaped like a duck and, funny thing... in Greek the word for "bedpan" can also be called, colloquially, with the same word that we use for "duck". So. There's that random connection I found funny XD

Twilight tries to ask for permission to land on the airship and they immediately turn their guns on him and damn, that must be terrifying.

And damn, again, that's a huge risk he took just to get Anya back. My man was prepared to do anything. And he walked out of the plane crashing into the airship without a single scratch like GET OUT OF HERE. I wanted my whump and I only got a single drip of blood near the end 😞 when will I have my whump.

And then Yor just... ran on the top of the airship, fully exposed to the freezing weather of not only outside but also a few hundred (thousand?) feet off the ground. My girl runs on hot steam. AND THEN SHE ALSO FUCKING TOOK HER COAT OFF.

Meanwhile, Anya finally finds a private moment to take a shit. And that marks the end of the wackiest plotline in this movie XD

Okay now, look. I can maybe imagine Twilight quickly making up a mask of Snidel's face from earlier in the day (though he wasn't shown to have any time to do that), and he somehow had it ready when the time came for their duel. But making a mask of that random military guy? Yeah, my suspension of disbelief is stronger for that than for freaking time travel XD

Yor also has her moment of going like "Excuse me, may I ask a question" and immediately getting guns aimed at her.

Damn. What the actual fuck is Type F even. At first I thought it was a full-on robot, but apparently it's a modified human? The fuck. Also. Just how many fucking bullets does he have???!

For real, though, Snidel isn't fucking around. He not only is fine with murdering a kid in cold blood, he also finds it entertaining to make her terrified as well. Like, even that guy from the Doggy Crisis arc said "Nothing personal, kid," when Keith commanded him to kill her.

And then Twilight overhears the incompetent dudes mention Anya... and mighty spy Twilight's emotions get the best of him and he beats up those guys for no other reason than getting back at them? More likely than you think.

Fuck, that scared me. That bullet was literally millimeters from piercing his brain. Cool visual, though, with his real hair popping from beneath the mask.

With the action part over, I gotta say that they handled it all of it awesomely! I felt that the whole film was a little slow at first, but I didn't really mind. The climax was great, I got my whump, I got my fake family working together with all of them pretending that oh it was just chocolate thieves and not an actual threat of war breaking out.

My question is... didn't Anya just gulp the chocolate down?

Overall, definitely recommended, it did have its weak parts and its parts that you had to happily kick your logic out the window, but it was great fun, with awesome action, character depth, and even angsty parts that I adored. This will keep my anime-only ass satisfied for a little while, hopefully we also get news about Season 3 soon!

The Man Downstairs Status Report -

July 10 2024

It's ahhhh been a while. Thanks so much to everyone who has been patient with this! How are you all doing?

So, first off, the actual status:

It's alive! ALIVE! I will have a chapter ready to post this Saturday evening! Finally! I can't say how often updates will happen but I do still want to finish this so even if it takes a while, I'm gonna get there!

Why it took so long (and some photos, some with cats and plants) - under the read more...

The reason related to the writing itself is that something was wrong in the story/tone and I knew it but couldn't figure out what it was. Recently, I had a breakthrough and have been rewriting everything that didn't feel right. Also, there was a scene that just didn't fit quite yet as much as I wanted it to so I took that out for now. We'll see what happens with it in the future.

One main non-writing reasons is cats! So many cats! I mentioned finding kittens back in this post and they have a home now... With me XD. (Except one who some acquaintances adopted so now I have nine instead of ten). In order to keep them, I needed to screen in part of my carport to give all of my kitties more space.

Building it was the easy part thanks to a friend. Getting the permit was the worst. But it's done and it's beautiful now! And most of the kitties tolerate each other now thanks to it! (Six of them are here):

Also, I've been putting in a lot of work on the gardens, especially the front one.

The dune sunflowers at the front will eventually fill the whole strip and the mulched areas that look a bit barren will fill in as the bushes grow and the wildflowers and ground cover fills in. As an example, here's the side garden when I first planted everything (with rain to illustrate that it also acts as drainage/a retention pond):

And it's still not even near where it will be in the future!

Aside from garden work, I also took driving lessons for a second time and actually managed to get my license this time (past all of my overwhelm and shut down associated with driving.)

Also, I was on ADHD meds but didn't like the side effects of not getting restful sleep and constantly having a stupidly high heart rate so I talked to my doctors, stopped taking it, and switched to a supplement program that helps balance things (cortisol, gaba, dopamine etc). It's not an immediately effective solution but it has been improving things over time and doesn't have the side-effects. Otherwise, I've been working on finding other coping mechanisms as well as trying to get meaningful rest to recover from burnout. It is getting better. Being able to write again is a good sign of that. Focus is still iffy a lot but it's improving. (I've been playing a lot of Palia and Stardew Valley lately XD)

So yeah. here's hoping for better things ahead for all of us!

Last battle! Kaogaii should go again, right? I'm confused, what is this show trying to foreshadow? I applauded behind my screen for Hippie Kunda, it must suck for her because she just lost. I'm proud of her for working hard! Oh! Instead of giving a shitty performance, he didn't rap at all. He was planning on eliminating Koala. I think it's Koala because he's the one who's edited out. I forgot about him lmao. Thanks to the K-hiphop sub-reddit for proving information!

So everyone tried their best to save their teammates, only Kaogaii used this opportunity to eliminate a rapper on purpose.

Loopy, Reddy and Haon... their hearts are too big for their bodies.

What will happen to Block 7? Will there be drama? Reddy showed a more confident performance than Chaboom both times. It is what it is. Owen in Block 5? Will they accept him? Either way, if Owen wants to win then, yes I agree that staying in Block 7 is a bad idea. Something has to change.

Block 8 is just 3 people now. They should make a big change to in order to survive. Ahw, I want to give all of them a hug :((

Oh shit. Daniel Jikal decided to withdraw from the show. I respect his decision.

Khundi Panda is now leader of Block 5. Not gonna lie, I thought he was already the leader, not JP. I forgot. Owen and DD join Block 5!

SINCE IS GOING TO BLOCK 6?? Wow I thought she was a loyal person but it seems like she values winning more. I don't mind, the longer she survives, the more I get to watch her perform. I do hope that outside of Rap:Pulic, Since and Punchnello drop a song together. I really enjoy the two of them on stage. Block 6 is looking stronger. Skyminhyuk is now the leader of Block 4, instead of Punchnello. Hippie K and Drain K join Block 4 and Block 8 dissolves.

JTong is joining Block 2!! Even though he left, Block 1 is still a strong block. Chaboom is moving to Block 3. Foggyatthebottom moves to Block 2 and just like that, Block 7 closes down. Double Down changes teams again is now in Block 1. Osun is joining Block 5. Where did that come from? Damn, he gets to be the leader too. Nice deal. Oh Osun~ you broke Haon's heart :( Kind of a dick move to change blocks without saying anything.

Sophitz Week Day 1: Human AU

ft. Deaf!Fitz

Normally I'd put this on my writing blog, but sophitz week gets it everywhere. Written in a rush for yesterday and then I fell asleep, don't judge it too hard XD. I will be continuing and updating it (maybe ao3?)

Sophie sat in the second row in her second period class: Algebra 2. It wasn't exactly a great start to her first day, but that meant that her classes could only get better from there. 

“Alright, students, let's take attendance!” Sir Faxon said. “There's only twenty two of you of you, so this should be quick.” He went down the list, and each of the first nineteen people raised their hands. “Fitz Vacker!” 

No one raised their hand. “Fitz?” He asked again, and people started looking around.

There was a boy who sat three seats down from her who hadn’t raised his hand. It seemed he was looking at something on his desk. They almost looked like a set of light bulbs. 

Sir Faxon started and hit the button on his desk. One of the bulbs on the boy's desk lit up. 

The boy looked up to the front and raised his hand. 

“Sorry Fitz,” Sir Faxon annunciated sheepishly. “I entirely forgot. It's good to meet you.”

The boy—Fitz—held up the okay sign, partnered with an easygoing smile to show he meant it. Then he signed something else: he put his left thumb toward his chest and moved his hand between him and Sir Faxon, his right pointer finger aimed at him. Sophie didn't know much ASL, but she guessed it meant something like You too.

Sir Faxon finished attendance and smiled. “Well class, it's nice to see some familiar faces from our Algebra 1 class a couple years ago. To those of you who didn't have me, it's nice to meet you.” He gave them a moment of silence before continuing, “Now I know the first day is stressful, so for today's class, I'm going to allow you to talk to each other. Just don’t be too loud about it, or I'll have to hear about it from Magnate Leto.”

The room immediately started switching seats with each other to get closer to their friends.

Dex, who was sitting in front of her, turned his chair around and flopped over on her desk. “Math second period? I'm gonna die.”

Sophie just nodded her affirmative. Her eyes flicked to the boy—Fitz.

He was reading a book, his teal eyes scanning the pages intently. Every once in a while, he must've read something funny, because he’d get a small smile from the corner of his mouth. 

His cola hair and bronze skin made his eyes pop when he turned to look at her.

Sophie gave him a shy smile, slightly blushing from having been caught staring. and waved.

Fitz waved back with the same smile he'd had while reading.

Dex shoved Sophie's shoulder, and she turned her head back to glare at him. “What was that for?”

“Saving you,” he responded. “You've been staring so long at the deaf kid that he noticed.”

“First off, his name is Fitz, calling him the deaf kid is rude. Secondly, I was trying to see what book he was reading.”

Dex snorted. “More like you were trying to see his butt.”

Sophie went bright red. “Okay, was I noticing that he's cute, objectively? Yeah, sure. But he's not my type.”

“He's exactly your type,” Dex rebutted. “I mean, I get it. He's hot. But you don't usually oogle."

“Shut up,” she said, collecting her stuff. The bell rang, and Sophie nodded at Dex before making her way to Study Hall. Seeing the blonde girl in the back row, she snagged the seat beside her. “Marella!”

“Hey to you too,” Marella said. "What do you want?"

“Oh what? I'm not allowed to be glad to see you?” Sophie asked.

“No, but I'm assuming since we came in together with Dex this morning and you weren't so jovial, you have something to talk about. So spill.”

Sophie glanced around the room. Other than the teacher, whose face was stuck behind a book, everyone had headphones in and were doing work on their computers or were on their phones. She leaned in conspiratorially. “Okay, have you had a class with Fitz Vacker?”

“Oh,the deaf guy?” Marella asked.

“His name is Fitz.”

“I was just checking! Yeah, he's in European History with me first period. Elodie Musker and her posse were drooling all over him until they realized he was deaf. Lady Dara lit into them about it after class."

"Good for her. What the fuck is wrong with them?"

“Thats a long list. So, what were you going to say about him?” Marella asked.

Sophie blushed. “Oh, I just wanted to see if you knew anything about him. You know, normal stuff.”

Marella squinted at her. "Like what?”

Sophis shrugged, blushing slightly. “Like, just whatever you know. I'm curious.”

“Alright, you never ask me for gossip about anybody. Do you like him? Because I dont know if he has a partner, or even if he's interested in anyone."

“No!” Sophie said. “I dont know him. And that's the problem. How is it that I've never seen him before? What's the deal?” When Marella side eyed her, she gave her back puppy eyes. “Please?”

Marella sighed. “Okay, okay. I don't know much to be honest. I know that his parents are pretty rich and that they're really well-known. His dad is Alden Vacker.”

“Who?”

“Alden Vacker? The guy who used to date Governor Alina? He's a stockbroker.”

“Oh, that's cool I guess. So his family is a bunch of rich people?”

“Basically. I know he has an older brother who graduated a few years back and is now overseas in Germany, and his little sister Biana is our age. Fitz is the only one who's deaf. So maybe his family had him homeschooled.”

“I guess that makes sense,” Sophie said. “Okay, that's a good start.” She pulled out her phone and began typing away into the search bar.

"Sophie, where is this going?"

"I'm gonna talk to him. "

“You don't know sign language.”

“But I can learn. Honestly, I should've earlier. It's not like there aren't deaf people all over the country.” 

"Hmm," Marella said.

“Anyways,” Sophie said casually. “What's this year’s plan to get Linh Song’s attention?”

“Oh shut it,” Marella grumbled.

“You mean you've got nothing?” Sophie teased. When Marella grumbled more, Sophie said, “How about you just ask her out?”

“No, no,” Marella sighed. “It's okay, I'll think of something."

They spent the rest of the class period researching ASL, or stewing in Marella's case, until the bell rang, signaling lunch time. Sophie determined she would ignore Fitz for the rest of the day until she got home so she could practice some ASL and be back Monday, ready to try.

Of course, life decided to put her in the same 5th period AP Bio class and the 6th period lab. But she managed to stay focused on the task at hand and only glanced at him a few times, thankfully without being caught.

At the end of the class, Sophie walked up to the teacher. “Hey Elwin,” she said. “Long time no see.”

“What do you want?”  Elwin said with an eye roll. “It better not be asking me why I'm not in the Healing Center.”

“Oh, not at all!” Sophie assured him. “Just wanted to ask if you could wait until Monday to make up lab partners.”

“What are you up to?”

“Nothing. Just asking.”

Elwin just shook his head. “Alright, I'll wait until Monday.”

“Thank you! Okay, gotta go, bye Elwin see ya tomorrow!” She stopped in the doorway. "Actually, why aren't you in the Healing Center?"

"I saw you on the AP Bio list and figured I could keep an eye on your accident prone self," Elwin teased.

Sophie stuck her tongue out at him and laughed when he did it back. The second bell rang, and Sophie said, "Shit, gotta go. See ya!"

Life gave her another shock when she walked in 8th period to find a worksheet on their assigned desks with another name on the top.

Tiergan said, "Yes, yes, welcome back, pupils. I thought today I'd make it easier than in the past and do a simple 'Getting to Know you' worksheet. Now, your partner's name is written at the top, and it's up to you to find them and ask them their questions. You can not trade partners, and at the end of class, you and your partner will be sitting next to each other in your new assigned seats. If you do the assignment, you get a 100. Don't, and you get a zero. If your partner isn't here, ask me your questions so you can get a grade. Sound good?"

Sophie read the name at the top of her paper three times. Fitz Vacker.

Well, shit. Hopefully, she'd researched enough during lunch, with no help from Dex and Marella, to be able to answer and ask the questions.

They found each other towards the back of the room and sat, staring at each other for a minute.

Finally, Sophie couldn't take it. She waved before rubbing a closed fist over her chest a couple circles and then holding it up, flicking her fingers behind her a little. Hi. Sorry for before.

Fitz looked confused. He tapped the side of his head gently before rolling two pointer fingers around in front of his chest and splitting them apart, laying them out. You know sign language?

She paused a moment, trying to figure out how to sign what she meant. Finally, she signed, Reading? Yes. Signing? No, but trying.

Pat-Pats connection to Glamrock Bonnie?

Okay, so I for one- like barley post at all so.. hello, haha! But this has been on my mind since I finished watching all the gameplays for ruin and I just NEED to know if anyone has the same thoughts. (I haven't seen anyone mention this so I am taking it upon myself!)

So for starters, Bonnie has ALWAYS been my favorite, since like, FOREVER. And I was foaming at the mouth at his tiny mention in SB, but I never thought we'd get to see my poor boi again after discovering that he was decommissioned :(

Our only clues about him came in the duffle bags in SB that Gregory would find around the PizzaPlex, which stated his last known location being Gator Golf after going MISSING, the re-branding issue, ect.

But we ACUTALLY got to see his body in RUIN! Which was behind Bonnie Bowl? Hmmm, sus. >:0

Now I'm not even going to try to say I didn't make the most animalistic noises when I saw him again- (and his adorable official design!!) but the one thing that caught mostly everyone's eyes was that our bunny was SURROUNDED by Pat-pats! (Yes me finally getting to the point of my ramble lmaoo)

Now I for one, was also riding The Gator Behind the Slaughter train. We just didn't have enough clues for it to have been ANYONE ELSE. Besides maybe our girl Vanny lmao...

I got this theory after listening to Dawko's videos about the Mimic.. which was INSANE to learn about! (I never read any of the books xD)

I read someone's post about this also. (So so sorry for not remembering their name jshjshsj.) About how strange it was that in one of the duffle bag messages, it mentions how Bonnie LEFT his room to go walk around the Plex WAY after closing time. An EMPTY Pizza Plex??

Yeah I'd admit, this is weird. It didnt take Gregory or Freddy THAT LONG to zoom around the PizzaPlex in SB, so what took Bonnie so long?

Now for my theory..

I think someone lured Bonnie on a wild goose chase around the Plex, using the Pat-Pats as bait.

And I think that SOMEONE wasn't Vanny or even a Infected Monty.

It was the Mimic.

Now let me explain.

All throughout Ruin, we see these still functioning Pat-Pats throughout the Pizza Plex. And ONLY with the mask on, they emit a weird crying noise that stops only when shut down.

Even when Cassie was at the Daycare, there was a Pat-Pat there. Could It have been emitting that child crying noise? If so, why? If not to lure someone to that area.

Now if Bonnie is anything like our beloved bear is, he would've def heard this and went to investigate.

But if that's the case, why didn't the other animatronics hear it too?

When Cassie put on the Vanny Mask, she was connected to the Network.. she heard voices from the Pat-Pats AND from the Mimic/Fake Gregory the whole night, even without the mask on 24/7.

Bonnie, being a animatronic himself- is always connected to the Network most likely, therefore enabling the Mimic to reach into that same Network to trick him. We've seen it seemingly disable M.X.E.S for a short period of time, why couldn't he mimic the cry's of the people he's killed through the Pat-Pats?

But why would it want Bonnie in particular?

Now this MIGHT be a bit of a stretch, since I'm not entirely sure if the Mimics systems could be the same as the program in Glitch-Trap in the Help Wanted VR game. (Who was mimicking Afton.) But Bonnie is a Bunny, if not the same kind of design as all the Bonnies in the past. (Duh lol) But It could be a possibility that in a effort to mimic whatever was left of William, it wanted to steal Bonnies parts. (Therefore when not defeating princess quest in SB gets you a Mimic Afton?? Idk I'm spitballing here LMAO) But since PQ in mostly likely the canon ending after all, this doesn't hold completely. It could be a random attempt to lure ANY animatronic to a place where it could dismember them to steal their parts to repair itself after the sinkhole finally freed it. Who knows for sure!

But unfortunately our favorite bunny bites the dust for being so caring. :(

But what does this have to do with the Pat-Pats surrounded Bonnie behind Bonnie Bowl?

Well, perhaps after totaling Bonnie, the Mimic hid him. Which explains why the reports are saying he's MISSING. Like how a predator would hide its kill for later. This leads us down 3 paths.

The Pat-Pats were places there to keep emitting that noise to keep bonnie quiet and deactivated. Via why his eyes are the same color as the Pat-Pats.

The Pat-Pats are no longer connected to the Mimic and are trying to help Bonnie in a way. By leading someone to HIM instead of the Mimic. In a almost ironic way lmao.

They could also be working as our bunny boi's eyes, which means if he was truly still semi-functional, he was watching us all thoughout SB and Ruin. And shutting them down could maybe reactivate bonnie if not accidently make him dormant for now, oops lol.

I was also wondering how the Mimic knew the layout of the Pizzaplex. This could be because he was connected to the Network before hand? Or he could've stole some chip of some-kind out of Bonnie after smashing his head in with a bowling ball. We do see Bonnie in pieces.. ex. being his arms and legs seemingly pulled outward. Like how the mimic would rip his victims apart, while smashing their heads. (Would this give Bonnie amnesia if awakened again? Ooo the Angst potential! Heheh xD)

When caught by the Mimic, we see Cassie suffer that same fate. Along with the Mimic seemingly clawing at her aswell. Just like how Bonnie is clawed open.

There is no doubt in my mind that we don't see our favorite bunny active again, he's in too good condition still if not BETTER condition than the others! If Cassie doesn't reactivate him or maybe someone else imma riot! xD

Of course this is just a theory of mine, just for funsies <3

•okay, im like 90% sure that majority of newcomers to this universe only played LoR as LC is mostly overlooked due to the gameplay, and likely see Ayin as a terrible, irredimable guy

•he was not like that when his head was alright. Ayin was an introverted, silent guy of the 3, even if he was very smart

•Carmen is the "too much energy" extrovert friend that just does not shut up. But while some may see her as an evil woman, her pity for the people living in the city was real. Living there aint the best thing you know?

•Benjamin was a 3rd wheel, but funny enough, a mix of Ayin and Carmen's personalities. He is shy, but can be vocal about his ideas and opinion on what do these guys do

•Carmen is oblivious, Ayin loves Carmen, Benjamin loves Ayin, there, i said it. You can leave xd

•okay, but their relationship didnt start on the first sight. There were months and years even of these 3 being together

•Carmen was the one to invite majority of the Sephirahs into LC (including Benjamin) and encouraged Ayin to get to know them better. And Ayin, being an introvert, did so after some nudges from Carmen

•turns out he also liked their company alot

•Enoch and Lisa (Tiphereths) were unofficially adopted by Ayin and Carmen when they rescued the kids

•these 3 were living fine lives in Lobotomy Corporation before it all went downhill ....

•a part of him tried to make himself feel better by making Angela, but that too, failed. But now Ayin didnt even have a slight motivation to either deactivate Angela or to let her live how she wanted. So, she just became another tool for the scenario to do

•it got so bad that Benjamin/Hokma had to erase Ayin's memories, calling him X. And politely asked Angela to watch over Ayin in case he starts going insane again

•Ayin, now X, is pretty oblivious to the relationships he had before now. Not that he minds it

•.... He still feels lonely in his room, X does not know what is he missing to feel like that

Everytime i go to read this, i see pizzeria asks think FNAF and hear Freddy’s chime and imagine everyone as animatronics Lynette has to survive, and she just shuts the door in everyone’s faces if they try to eat her. XD

I was playing some music while reading, I have like this little chill playlist with deep/sad songs (in hopes it can warm the darkness of my soul and gUESS WHAT)

LITERALLY during the moment when Yunho is cleaning Bug's face and she lowers her hand so as to let him see the right side of her face without any fear or apprehension and gets emotional and proud and his brown eyes met her gray one "Mary On A Cross" by Ghost was playing, particularly the lines "your beauty never ever scared me" and I was like😭😭😭 cause it fit so well

Note: I double checked and literally All of that writing was in belarusian! Despite the fact that I switched how i was tracking this halfway through! So technically that's 114 hours and 8 minutes. Pretty close to russian, actually!

Marathi has so many simply because at the start of the year, I was still trying to get a handle on actually like... reading. I'm decent at that now! But currently I'm not at any sort of level where I can talk or really read or anything, haha.

So, starting with ukrainian; as of today I have four skills to complete to finish the duolingo course! So I think that's at least like, 12 more days? Or something? After that I'm going to go back through to make everything legendary, so I suspect in total I will have spent at least a year on it. So that's... something. Lingq is the only thing holding my reading comprehension together right now I think 😂

For marathi, I'm honestly just curious how much better I'll be by the end of this year! Maybe my goal should be like, 'read sentences' or something lol. I've long since come to terms with the fact that I just Don't learn fast at all... :)

Russian is currently sitting on the backburner, so maybe I'm a little bit better, maybe I'm not. For now, though, I'll try to stick with it and see where that takes me! I'm happy with the fact that I finally made it through duolingo, and hopefully never have to go back again, haha

Belarusian: my one true love, light of my life, So Fucking Hard to find resources for. Anyways.

You may have seen I did nanowrimo in belarusian this year! I wrote a Lot, relatively, and have written exactly one thing in belarusian since. Such is the way of nano burnout... (but actually, I'm just procrastinating.)

I haven't decided yet whether I really want to post what I did or not, so currently the file is just sitting on my phone, waiting to be transferred so I can fix typos and stuff. It's probably going to stay like that for a while.

In other news, while I did want to start usong polygloss more, I've made a fatal mistake in constantly forgetting to reply to people, so now I think the total of 3 other people on there are ignoring me. Or just not using the app anymore, one of the two. ...in light of this, I am not using polygloss for belarusian currently. #r.i.p. my dreams.

I haven't really thought much about what I want to do this year... write more, at least. I'm definitely going to try nanowrimo again, when it comes around. I'd love to start getting more listening and reading in, but I don't go on youtube much, and as far as I can tell, most anybody who's posting in belarusian is on twitter. My twitter account has been dead since 2018 (or something) and it is going to Stay that way. As far as actual books go, eh... it's a bit harder to get my hands on anything, haha. If you happen to have reccomendations, I'm all ears... :P

(Yes there is also The Tiktok™️ but that, too, has the affliction of No Fucking Subtitles and is also a hellscape just generally, so... no.)

It's also still early in the year, so it's really anyone's guess how things are gonna end up! But that's where having simple goals comes in handy XD
