The season 4 premiere of Boston Legal is like psychological terrorism. Alan being begged to have a baby. Word salad. Sex in an elevator TWICE. Shirley/Denny moment that makes me sob. Infidelity. The arrival of Carl. Guys looking at each others’ dicks. Alan saying his penis has been a bad boy. Carl’s hair. One of the greatest guest appearances on the show by Craig muMs Grant. Y’all. Listen. The whole NBA been down talking my team all season long. Andddd it was worst during the whole playoff run!!😤😤 NBA plays 82 games in a season right?? My Celtics won 64 and lost 18. We won 64 out of 82 games and haters were saying stupid shit like we weren’t battle tested. All 30 teams play the same amount of games!!! We just won more then the rest of them!! Then the so called experts and analysts picked against them in every round they played y’all

Seriously??!! They had the best record all season long and even clinched their playoff spot 17 days before the rest of the teams😂😂 now the excuses were coming because we lost 3 whole games out of the whole run so of course it was only cuz the other teams had injured players and blah blah blah 🙄🙄 injuries are part of the game and we had injuries too we just won. And kept winning and they hated us for it but that’s ok. Cuz again MY BOSTON CELTICS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS!!!! I’m gonna keep bragging about it cuz fuck ‘em

Mandy, my love! Great idea, thanks for asking! ❤️ It's been a really long time since I did a blog rec list, because I am genuinely terrified of missing anyone out and potentially making someone feel bad 🙈 That would never be my intention, obviously!

i told my therapist about Robert California which was the only Spader role I think he knew ironically and we both agreed that we aspire to be a little more Robert California in our lives. 💔 lmao

As you should!!!! A few weeks ago after rewatching sex, lies, and videotape I was thinking about his roles and what they represent to me, and collectively, as odd as it sounds, a lot of James’ performances are… aspirational for me. Not like, literally (usually).

But his ease in any situation, his calm in chaos. Whether it’s a darker, commanding role or he’s playing something lighter, more neurotic, he’s fully in control of himself. As a very anxious person myself, I’m in awe of that… how totally comfortable he is as a character, an actor—and as himself, in interviews and other appearances.

That charisma is very attractive. And at the same time, his boundaries, the protective distance he keeps between himself and the world around him. I keep thinking of when he said he gives every character he plays a secret, because I really think you can see that in his eyes.

And he knows how to have fun and like, enjoy life!, which is a goal for this year!

All of which to say I aspire to be more like James in many ways too :-) I can’t believe I’m saying this but there are worse role models than Robert California 😌
